in interventional radiology (or anything involving procedural x-rays) you need to wear a lead apron and thyroid guard.. there’s usually lots of spares but usually the regulars invest in their own. they are very heavy lol. but it does help keep you cozy in a freezing procedure room

doctor's are not involved in patient care at the same level nurses are. doctors are the "architect" while nurses are the actual builders. doctors only spend about 15 mins with a patient while nurses spend 12 hours with their patients. nursing is truly an art versus a science and it was important for me to have an mc that is in that patient-care world.

plus! i think media has severely underestimated nurses and the nursing profession and overinflated what doctors actually do and their job as a hospitalist. nursing is a completely different and more involved

so by my count theres at least 4 people from my old art school attending therapy groups in the hospital i go to.. girl. this school is known for being so toxic it can be traumatizing but this is over the top lol..

Based on your "Jayce sometimes forgets Vi and Jinx aren’t biologically related" and "Silco is food with Piltite kids" i present you "Piltite kids ask what kind of pretty Isha will be"

This tiny munchkis meeting baby Isha during a part/Piltover event and asking Silco questions about babys until one ask him if she is going to be pretty like Miss Vi or like Miss Jinx. They debate until one says she looks pretty like Mr Viktor.

Kid: Mr Viktor is super pretty! Mr Talis said so!

So now Silvo has a few questions for our dear Jayce

Oh yeah the average Piltite kid does not realise Vi and Jinx are adopted unless someone (for example their parents) tells them. You'd get the ones that ask how they have pink/blue hair while Silco (and Vander when he's around). Which if they ask Silco the question get the straightforward answer of "the girls became ours after their their parents were killed". And if they ask Jinx she will come up with some on the spot about how they fell into a vat of toxic chemicals when they were young, no that's just what eating x-thing does want to try some?

Quick joke comment: how many parents have had to rapidly herd their own kid away from Silco before he unintentionally tells them how babies are actually made (or without knowing pokes holes in the story their parents told them about how babies are made leaving them with Questions for their parents)?

And, yeah, Isha does look a lot like Viktor so that kid isn't wrong she's like him.

Silco knows that objectively Viktor is rather pretty. Hell, it's probably been a bit of a joke since Viktor was young that he took the best bits from both his parents because how did they make such a good-looking kid. But it's a bit different having children generally commenting that Viktor's pretty and knowing that Jayce, Viktor's 'partner', seemingly permanent shadow, who stares at Viktor adoringly whenever Viktor isn't looking at him, is saying that Viktor is pretty.

Crys, of course, is unreadable as always, expression impassive as a stone wall. If he didn’t reek of chaos magic – if Rhyme didn’t know to look for that slight twitch to his fingers, the way he clenches his fist at a flash of pain – she wouldn’t have known he was injured at all. She’d be impressed with his poker face if it wasn’t so damn annoying.

“She’s fine,” Zephyr coughs from where he’s leaning against Kas. Both of them look equally exhausted. “It was just – just a stupid disagreement with a few others. I panicked and overreacted.” He lowers his eyes – eye, he’d strapped the eyepatch back on – towards the ground. “Sorry.” And then he lifts his eyes again, looking past her, and freezes.

It is an overcast day, when he sets out on his own – the sky clouded and gray, the sun weak and watery. The rain falls in a light drizzle, the water droplets fine as mist. He turns his dirt-smeared face up towards the sky, blinking rapidly. His split lip stings and tastes of copper when he licks it. The tunic and cloak he is wearing is made of rough sackcloth, torn and frayed and worn at the edges, half falling apart.

Someone cuts through the air overhead – soundlessly swooping in before dropping into a sharp dive – and then there’s a Crow with a high ponytail falling into step right beside Kas with ease. He doesn’t flinch; evidently expecting this or used to it.
