Since I'm gonna closeout my patreon, I wanted to take my suggestions thread and make it public for other CC creators to look over and consider for stuff to make! Some of this stuff has already been made by now but it would definitely be cool to see the rest. (i'm copy pasting each of these comments, thus weird wording possibly and repetition)

there's a lot of good ideas here and i'd hate for them to just be thanos snapped out of existence

I would be happy about proper gaiters or different types of bridles. the same about ultra long manes.

Dressage poses would be lovely!

Idk if that's possible, but maybe try to override the barrels with orange cones to make it a little less western?

I love everything Western! I would love a few free-hanging western saddles/ bridles and also a saddle pad rack with only western pads! Maybe a few sponges/flyspray/shampoo bottles.

Perhaps leg wraps and english saddle pads that are matching? Like Lemieux and the sorts. Hanging horse blankets / horse racks that hold blankets. Vet objects, like syringes, creams, vetwraps and little objects for a first aid kit :)

please make a stable rug/ turn out rug/ riding rug :D

Okay so personal goals:

-make a broadband for the default English bridle, one of those braided ribbon ones bc I had one for my pony when I was a kid and thought he looked so snazzy in it esp bc it was a super trendy thing to have

-safety stirrups replacer Not safety stirrups, but I made a Replacer !!!

-see if it's possible to put the leathers on the stirrups instead of attached to the horse

-thicker reins and maybe change the hand placement (idek if that's possible) and also see if adding bit rings might b a thing

Hey I saw/think you said you used to do a lot of horseback riding and I wondered if I could ask you what is the fabric called that goes under the saddle? I want it for a centaur romance story but I've seen it called different things and now I don't know what to call it.

You're right, I used to ride relatively often when I was younger, but not to any kind of real standard, and sadly not for a long while. A 'happy hacker'* who can sit most basic spooks and paces is how I'd describe myself. (*'Hacking (out)' is going for a ride in the country - no schooling or training, just plodding around and maybe having a canter or two if the ground/terrain permits).

As for your question, it kind of depends on whether you're riding Western or 'English'. If Western, I believe it's called a saddle pad, but I'm not sure if there are more nuances to it. If English, or dressage, then it's usually called a numnah, and it attaches to the upper section of the girth strap(s) by loops, secured with velcro, under the flap where you rest your thigh. You can get different fabrics/materials for different purposes, but your bog-standard one is gonna be a polycotton-based one. As you can tell, I ride/rode 'English', so that's what I know. It'd be completely normal to use the word 'numnah' for anything but a super specialist pad under the saddle. (Some of them have fleece/sheepskin trim)
