13.   to do list. for Vincent
A PEAK AT ...
Vincent's to do list: PREWAR
Document daily data sheets regarding Sugar Bomb floor stock inventory & state-wide distribution. (double check floor stock: suspicious amount missing. 3-4 boxes)
Buy suit for Evelyn's father's birthday; preferably blue. ADD handkerchief. (Hopefully she's chosen a dress color..)
Lunch at 11 with Daisy (discuss seasonal flavors -- Candy corn? Cranberry Jam? People will eat anything. (STAY on topic)
Book event center (ask for available openings -- Christmas party? Need space for ice sculpture contest)
Cigar with Richard. You like it. You like it.
Check on Rose.
Submit Chemistry work. (submit page to Prof. Ivorson being WRONG!)
Contact JJ -- inquire about mentat shortage.
Vincent's to do list: POST WAR
Take vitamin shot.
Stomach Sugar Bombs (they couldn't have given us yum yum's?)
Check on Vault 94 -- document individual reports (inquire about Jackson. Last known contact detailed suicidal thoughts from chem withdrawal.)
10am meet with Vault scientists. (keep Dr. Orion in line...)
Ask about a sleep study (still not sleeping. 2 days now. Probably shot side effects)
Run through of local vaults --- reach out if problems arise ( how though??)
Vitamin shot.
Drink with Overseer
Start Nuka Cola project -- boil, take syrup, mix with melted soap, mold new soap?
no.
PREWAR is incredibly, corporately mundane. Someone's obviously stealing from the factory, he just has to prove it. Matching clothing is expected for wealthy elite couples. Vincent is a good looking man, & Daisy is a woman who oversees the flavor branch (similar to what his mom and dad worked on), and there's always a subtle flirtiness to their interactions. Vincent notices, but not in the obvious way. He just knows they need to stay on track, not talk about their personal lives. Event Center -- typical cookie cutter expectations. He likes time with Richard, just hates cigars. If refused, Richard has been known to call out for "not embracing true masculinity." Has to check on mom; make sure she's not dead. He found a flaw in his prof's solution, but this isn't the first time. He might not actually be right this time, but he just wants to be an ass again. JJ has to know when the mentat shortage is said to end. Some scandal nationwide by some mob group slowed production. He's getting agro.
VAULT LIFE is as equally boring, and Vincent definitely writes a to do list just because it helps him find meaning in his day. Typical stuff. Vitamin shots, complain about eating Sugar Bombs for the last 27 fucking years. Concerns regarding Vault 94 are suspicious at best, but his job only documents the data; the Overseer takes care of any resource inquiries. 10am is their daily huddle where they can share any achievements or air out their grievances; Vincent is typically the one to respond. Dr. Orion repeatedly voices doubts about their work for Vault Tec, stating that none of it matters. The world's wasted. Vincent's not sleeping -- indeed a side effect from the shots, but normal, he's assured. Drink with the Overseer is just another ploy to use up time & dig up any dirt about the other Vaults -- gossip justified when documenting certain data (A happened because B happened type deal). Lastly, the nuka cola soap project is because he's fucking bored & (because he's not in his designated Vault) he does not have the resources promised to him, so he's filling up time.
Eventually he stops making lists.
#ch: vincent; headcanon#ask: dr. vincent riffy#WOW what a boring man#I laugh at the interactions with Daisy like#âyeah my hair's different so what do you think about a sweet potato sugar bomb flavorâ#and I think the Nuka soap project would be so sticky he would HATE it#thanks for sending friend!

đ â đŞ đ˛?
Thank you! It's been a while since I've posted anything OC-related besides screenshots...
đ - Do you associate any colors with them?
Well, I have synaesthesia, so buckle in for a loooong list incoming lol.
Cadence: Primarily light purple, but also light pinks, oranges and yellows
Charlie: Red, gold and turquoise
JJ: Orange in any form
Lara: Extremely vibrant colours- pure magenta, cyan, lime green
Ness: All dark reds, pinks and purples
Summer: Medium to dark blues, greens and yellows
Trin: Dark blue, orange and green
Vari: Earthy reds and oranges, then bright orange and electric blue
Violet: Any and all shades of purple, then sage green and grey
â - What is their preferred beverage(s)?
Trin has been obsessed with bubble tea since she first encountered it as a teenager, but it's not something she commonly comes across. On a day to day basis she's more likely to drink Nuka Cola (especially Quantum and Cranberry), cranberry juice, or just water. She can get a little hung up on the concept of wasting water, and carries an orange powdered drink mix (I just call it Tang for now, pending a universe-appropriate equivalent name lol) to mix into any that she knows is safe but finds to have an odd taste to it.
đŞ - What are their favorite scents?
Wood smoke and night air smell like home for probably the majority of my Fallout brainchildren, so I'd bet that would also be a very common favourite combination.
đ˛ - Do they have a favorite location to hang out in?
These are Trin's typical stomping grounds!
If she's not on a specific quest or commuting between areas, there's a very good chance she'll be within one of these three bubbles at any given time.

đą đ đ & đ¤(Aries!) for Jeff! (I'd love to know more about him!) đ
Thank you so much! đ
(Admittedly, one of these questions in particular took me a bit to answer...for reasons đĽš)
đą What's their basic information? Name, gender, age, that sort of thing
Answered here, but I can share something else đ
Jeff's items & inventory:
(Note: this man is almost always over-encumbered, and nothing can change that, not even the ridiculous amount of carry weight boosters that he has on his person.)
đ Armor pieces in desperate need of repairâeveryone around him lets him know, rightfully so.
đ Nukashine Beer Hat, which doesn't contain actual Nukashine.
đ His signature Bottlecap Sunglasses
đ Blue Ridge Caravan outfitâa wastelander recently offered him 20k caps for it (true story).
đ Healing: Stimpaks, RadAway, Rad-X
đ Lunchboxes
đ Honey (for Sweetwater)
đ Nuka-Colaâno, his hat isn't enough.
đ Food: pepperoni rolls, bubblegum, Rudy's canned pozole
đ Plant cuttings
đ Pictures of friends and loved ones, including various cryptids.
đ Do they have a favourite region of the world map (e.g. the Forest, the Ash Heap...)? A least favourite region?
â¤ď¸: Cranberry Bog
Although the Forest was a fast favorite with everything being in one relatively safe area, Jeff grew to love the Cranberry Bog over the years. As dangerous as it can be sometimes, he feels the most whole there. There's nothing like those misty mornings, blue hours, and radstorms overlooking the cranberry rivers. His work and friends/loved ones are all there, too.
âď¸: Toxic Valley
Jeff will only travel up to the Toxic Valley if he absolutely has to. At least Grafty, the "Snallies," and Wavy Willard's are up that way.
đ The Blue Ridge Caravan Company?
So much changed when folks started returning to Appalachia, Jeff included.
He found himself aligned with many factions over the years, wearing multiple hats on any given day. This wasn't necessarily a bad thing, but something was missing.
Jeff didn't know that a random visit to the Cranberry Bog one day would bring him closer to finding out what that was. He's grateful that he gave the Blue Ridge Caravan Company a chance, and the same can be said to Joanna (and Vinny?) for him.
It's tough work being a caravan guard, but it's rewarding. He's always more than happy to lend a hand (or Redd Upper) whenever he's called up. His efforts help folks in Appalachia (including his BRC crew) and beyondâand that means the world to Jeff. đ
đ¤ A specific character? (specify who!)
responderschief: (Aries!) for Jeff! (I'd love to know more about him!) đ
So, I don't know where to begin with this answer 𼚠I haven't written a story/scenario for Jeff since year one of Fallout 76, but I decided to let inspiration take me â¨ď¸
Jeff smiled to himself.
It had rained earlier in the evening. Mud from the ditches that lined the Cranberry Bog stuck to Jeff's boots, squelching beneath him with each step. Behind him, he could hear his friends and co-workers singing along to the song playing on Appalachia Radio. Nearly every verse ended with cheering of some sort, punctuated by clinking bottles.
He was just there at his camp, unwinding with everyone after a long week of traveling back and forth through Big Bend. He had daydreamed about this get-together during his breaks, or whenever Vinny tasked him with getting everyone back on track or whatever.
It was nice to see everyone having a good timeâwell, almost everyone.
Rudy had found Jeff in the kitchen, preparing two plates of food and filling up an empty bottle carrier with drinks. The merchant smiled at his blue-haired friend and gave him an encouraging pat on the back. Jeff eventually declined Rudy's kind offer of helping him get from one side of the east tunnel base to the other, but maybe he should haveâ
Lost in thought, Jeff nearly dropped everything in his arms as his boot landed in a hole that wasn't there the day before. He managed to correct himself, sighing in relief.
"Bravo, Knight-Errant! Smooth recovery. Yet another reason why the Brotherhood of Steel have been keeping you around, huh?"
Aries was sitting where his train car door would close, next to the gulper skin that adorned the outside.
Jeff looked up at the source of the voice and let out a defeated laugh. "More like Knight-Errand, but yeah."
Aries chuckled. He helped Jeff up the ramp, then returned to his previous spot with enough room for his fellow caravan guard to slide in next to him.
Jeff popped open a beer for Aries and a Nuka-Cherry for himself. The pair enjoyed their dinner together in comfortable silence, even with the party behind them surging on.
Jeff's gaze settled on the sparse sundew grove, which was beautifully illuminated under the foggy moonlight across from them. He could definitely get used to this, whatever this was.
"UhâŚhey, Jeffy?" Aries started. "Thanks forâŚ" Everything, he thought.
Jeff slowly turned his head toward the source of the seldom-used nickname. He did his best to hide his burning cheeks behind the hand holding his half-full Nuka-Cherry, and his smile was just as warm.
Aries looked at Jeff, a smile of his own forming beneath his mask. He immediately forgot what he was going to say, but that was okay.
fin.
Also, I wanted this to be a separate post, but I'm too excited to share:
(Thank you to @jonnyonearth who patiently waited for me to take pictures, as always đĽ˛â¤ď¸)

Nuka-Cola Orange
Nuka-Cola Orange is an interesting little piece of de-regulated vulture capitalistic lore, insofar as it contains pear brandy (?) and arsenic (!).
How we made it: We made this in several variations. 1) One was straight the Pixelated Provisions recipe, using cara cara oranges in specific and 5.3 oz of honey instead of 1 cup sugar. 2) Was 1 oz pear brandy, 2.5 oz Nuka-Cola Orange concentrate syrup, 4 oz water, 1/4 teaspoon citric acid, stir. 3) We used 1 oz of brandy, 10 oz of Orangina, â
tsp minced ginger, and 3 drops of neon orange food colouring.Â
Reactions: The pear brandy is not strongly detectable, which makes the drink all the more insidious, in-universe. You could easily not realize that this contains alcohol and either get way more drunk than intended or give it to children by mistake. It's orange soda with a bit of ginger, which does give it something of an alternate universe feel. If using the pear brandy, it does give the drink a bit of fruity crispness. @slyjinks likes the doctored Orangina version a little bit better but thinks the Pixelated Provisions version is fine. I feel like this is a deconstructed and reconstructed mimosa in some sense.
Would we make this again: Maybe.
Does this taste like something that matches the write-up: No, because real Nuka-Cola Orange contains arsenic, and arsenic tastes like garlic, and garlic-orange soft drink would be gross.
Product Code: NCO-O22R
Product Codename: Fur Seal
Version: .86
Public Facing Name: Nuka-Cola Orange
Current Variant Notes: Use Pear Brandy as a flavor base; cut intense aftertaste with trace Arsenic
Nuka-Lixir
Insofar as Med-X is morphine, and this is supposed to contain Med-X, I would have to get into serious trouble at work to make this accurately.
How we made it: 1:1 Nuka-Cola:Nuka-Cola Orange and a dash of Hella Bitters citrus. And then we each took a Tylenol.
Reactions: Actually quite tasty. Would not be tasty if it actually contained morphine. Morphine tastes extremely bitter. I suspect there is some sort of joke related the cocktail âPainkillerâ going on? Why is this just about the only Nuka-Mix to contain a chem?
Would we make this again: Maybe, if we had all the component ingredients available.
Nuka-Sunrise
How we made it: 1:1 ratio of Nuka-Cherry and Nuka-Orange.
Reactions: It's an appropriate colour. It's pretty good. Slightly better than Nuka-Ray.
Would we make this again: It's a lot of work to make the component soft drinks, but maybe.
Nuka-Cola Cranberry
How we made it: 1 oz of Nuka-Cola concentrate mixed into 4 oz of Ocean Spray Sparkling Cranberry, similarly to how the Nuka-Cola Cherry is constructed. Of note, the canon Nuka-Cola Cranberry was inspired by celery-flavoured sparkling waters and mixing artificial flavours with package design and marketing to trick people into think that nutritionally bereft beverages had health benefits. We did not include any celery flavour in this.
Reactions: It's quite good. The Nuka-Cola concentrate gives the sparkling cranberry some body and dimension, which is good, because otherwise, the sparkling cranberry is rather light and thin, and the cranberry keeps the drink from being too sweet.
Would we make this again: Maybe!

when i was told hatchet's church under the ash heap would be demolished to make way for a world boss, i was super pissed off bc i assumed it would be a sterile Nuka Cola Event Area. but it's actually.
it's actually a mole rat colossus. i've gone from defeated to giddy.
assuming the tip was entirely accurate, the endgame grind will be moved from its launch position at the edge of cranberry bog to the very valley where hatchet has hidden her labyratory, which will be sundered in the awakening of the ultratitan.
hatchet is allied with the miners against the vault dwellers, and uses their tunnels to get around. within my little fanon cosmology... she is responsible for this thing. i don't even have room to reject the premise. yaaaaaaay
#hatchet#76#she is building a cathedral nearby.#also i dont care about this season so i get to put this game down for a few months. truly todd is graceful

Ah, Wasteland fashion. I love it.
I decided to rebuild my CAMP over by the Kanawha Nuka Cola Plant just in time for Fasnacht. It's kinda perfect, still in the Forest but in between the Purveyor and the amusement park for dailies. And of course, you also get the newer Vault dwellers coming over to help out the Overseer every so often. Another obvious plus is I get to easy access to feed not only my Nuka Cola themed bar, but my own Nuka habit. Ha.
I also decided to change up my look in time for Fasnacht. I've had this beret I received from my very first one sitting in my Stashbox for a while and I kinda missed wearing it. Figured why not when while doing an Op helping out the Free States yesterday, we did a job for the Caravan company in the tunnels and they rewarded me with this nifty outfit. I think it looks better with the beret than the cowboy hat, anyway. Doesn't hurt to stand out in a group out event like Fasnacht. Maybe I'll change back to the longcoat after it ends.
So a lot of stuff happened yesterday. I'll be making a couple of more detailed holotapes about it later. A quick rundown, General Beale, Ms. Rafferty is not imagining things. I do not use chems (unless my backside is really in a bind and I was not on them at the time), my one habit is sweets and Nuka Cola products, and I also saw your twin yesterday over by Drop Site V9. If he hadn't been wearing a Free Radicals Mask and lacked a jetpack, I would have thought he was you. Hell, I did on first glance. I managed to get it on film but it's a bit messy because I was fighting the Scorchbeast Queen at the time, it needs editing. I'll try to share that later.
Later on I also ended up waking up a Scorchbeast out in the Cranberry Bog and of course the damned Sheepsquatch decided to say, surprise motherfucker! And join in. Unfortunately I was so busy running and hiding that I did not get it on film. Even the group of Wasteland vets I've been running with went, you're on your own when I asked for help. Good thing I carry Stealth Boys - and that they started fighting each other, not me after a minute - or I would have had a serious issue.
That said, I need to finish prepping the bar for opening. So I will share more tapes later on!
- Zoey
P. S. - Thats me in the power armor over at a workshop in the Savage Divide. I looked so cool I asked a fellow dweller to take a photo. Like I said, I love Wasteland fashion. Drove off a Wastelander with my Cryolator too. That was a good day.

Cultist Outfit: Ritual Outfit, Imposter Sheepsquatch Helmet, Wasteland Trapper Mask
Backstory: One of the first children born in the Vault, her parents passed away from radiation poisoning while repairing the Vault's generators. Â She grew up isolated from most other Vault Dwellers except a rare few. Â Her parents were high ranking members in society, having ties to major corporations such as RobCo and Dunwich Borers. Â She never took pride in her family's richness and denounced the values of capitalism that she was taught by them, but still loved them nonetheless. Â Upon going through her parents belongings, she came across many cryptically worded files and notes, strange symbols and talk of things that were supernatural. Â A note about a coming flood and the need to go to an abandoned mine for survival, Lucky Hole Mine specifically. Â After going through a half written note written by her mother, she found out the reason that her parent's chose to come to the Vault, they found out they were pregnant with her. Â Determined to find out who the people who knew her parents were and what their goals were on that day, she left Vault 76, learned and joined all the remnants of the factions of the Wasteland, all in hopes that it could lead her to the long forgotten mine.
Story: Along the way, she learned of a group, no, a cult, that worshipped the mothman, and even came to see it face to face after hearing a radio transmission about summoning it.  She had only assumed it to be myth, as it had been pre-war, but as it landed with a thunderous thud she approached it, dumbfounded.  There was no clear way of telling where the creature looked, but Jolyne knew that it was looking at her and acknowledging her.  She pressed her forehead to its own, and it flew back off the ground, hovering briefly. Jolyne experienced a splitting headache which stunned her, and open recovery the creature was gone, but a message was left in her head. A way to the mine.  She trekked across the region, through the forest, the savage divide, and finally into the cranberry bog, she felt a pull, something bringing her to her destination, an unseen force that was overwhelming to no end.  And she finally found the entrance to the mine, but not before a scorchbeast could find her.  Exhausted from her journey, she knew this was a fight she could not win and rushed into the mine.
Entering Lucky Hole Mine: Upon entering there was a chill in there, vastly different than that of the outside temperature.  All throughout the mine there were effigies, skulls, horns, and gas masks mounted upon twisted branches, and mole miners patrolling and grunting, almost guarding the area.  After some rest and refreshment, she proceeded into the mine, silently killing as many miners as she could, until shotgun shrapnel pierced her side.  She quickly drew here revolver and killed the miner, holding her side.  She was bleeding out, but trudged on, jamming a stimpak into herself to at least hold back some of the damage.  She found what looked almost like a church, pews, a stand for a preacher, and a coffin, with the remains of someone still lying inside.  Her heart was racing but she had to know what this place was.  Eventually she found multiple notes and holotapes, combined with those she had found while exploring Appalachia, she was given the knowledge of what happened here, the remnants of a cult, having been told by the mothman supposedly of the great war, had come here to survive. A man spoke of how he lead them here, and how he had not truly been told by the mothman, but a higher power still.  Jolyne could only wonder what her parents were into before the war, but not long into this thought did she feel faint, the stimpak had helped mildly, but not enough to truly stop the wound, she would have to find a place to operate and remove it.  She slowly searched for a safe spot, and while using the wall as support, nearly fell as she entered a strange passageway, hidden by vines.  As she proceeded, she found a near complete chem lab built into a secret chamber of the cave.  With her water reserves empty, she had no choice but to gather water that was dripping into a nearby puddle.  It seemed clear enough she thought, as she proceeded to remove her clothing and armor, and reached into her backpack to remove her surgery tools.  Her training with the responders was finally paying for itself.  She removed each piece of shrapnel, numbing the pain with a syringe of med-x left on the chemistry bench nearby, as she washed away the dirt and blood with the water, she watched in surprise as the wound seemingly started to heal faster.  Was it one of her mutations, or something more?  After patching everything up and re-equipping her armor and clothing, she proceeded deeper into the mine, hand to the wall, just in case another passage was there.  And to her surprise, there was.  She proceeded deeper, a gut wrenching feeling growing inside her, she drew her gun.  She finally found it.  Whatever it was.
Meeting the Interloper: A large.. tree lying on the ground, but not truly.  As she looked more and more, it was almost human like, it had legs, appeared to have the torso of a malnourished human, strange arm-like appendeges on its back, and its head... an open maw, shooting out what looked like tentacles.  To either side of the creature were a number of statue heads, similar to many she'd seen at corporate headquarters in her travels, and on the other, a tall effigy, with rotting and decayed corpses around it.  Out of curiousity, and a need to know more, she approached the creature slowly.  As soon as she was within range of the tentacles, they proceeded to shake and wiggle, startling her enough to misfire her gun at the creatures leg, which caused a spurt of strange liquid to come out.  The creature grew still.  She then ran up to where she'd shot, the creature's skin was like bark, but the interior was fleshy, she slowly pulled the bullet from its leg causing its tentacles to writhe.  She suddenly had a thought.  She ran back to the previous chamber and collected the pooled water that had been dripping, and came back, slowly putting it over the wound she had inflicted.  To her joy, the wound started to heal, and the tentacles stopped moving.  She approached the head of the creature slowly.  She spoke to it.  She said "My parents.. they never came here, they were part of a cult before the bombs... they didn't come because of me."  She paused. "They would have died here like everything else, but they died in the vault instead, because they wanted me to live.  I don't know what I wanted to find here.  Answers I guess. but all I have is more questions."  One of the shorter tentacles slowly approached her hand, and wrapped around it.  Everything was quiet... until her hand began to burn. The tentacle crawled up around her arm, and she felt a pain like being dipped in powerful acid or intense radiation burns, she tried to escape, she screamed, but its grip only became tighter.  Her whole body felt pain, it grew and grew until she passed out.  Once she awoke, she was lying away from the creature in the entranceway to its chamber, out of its reach, she gathered her strength and ran out, but tripped on a branch on her way out of the chamber.  In front of her lied a set of clothing, and a mask, made of a human skull, twigs, and other materials.  She looked back at the creature.  It's tentacles moved gently.  She looked back at the clothes.  It wanted her. "What do you want?" she choked out, she didnt notice she was almost crying until now. She got the headache again, but less painful.  She couldnt understand the words she was hearing in her mind, but she felt their meaning.  It wanted her to serve it.  In return it would keep her alive.  She looked back at the creature, The Interloper.  She remembered the man from the holotape had called it that.  She nodded, and its tentacles moved one last time.  She turned around, looked into the eyes of the skull mask, and grabbed the outfit on her way out of the mine.
What Comes Next: Jolyne embraced the lifestyle of the cult and learned all she could of it. She occasionally summons the mothman for itâs wisdom, or any messages that the interloper may have for her that need to be conveyed if she is unable to make the pilgrimage to itâs cave. She will occasionally visit the interloper and rest with it. She does reconnaissance on wastelanders actions, and only intervene if they are going to die. She usually keeps a distant eye with her binoculars, and stays atop roofs to avoid much interaction with those she watches. She holds meetings in her mini-church, to provide other followers of the interloper and mothman with information and spread word to those who do not yet worship. Plus the occasional sacrifice or two ;)
Plans: Going to join cultist/communist factions. Probably gonna side with raiders, but it depends on the loot.
Fun Facts: Nuka-Cola Dark is her drink of choice. She can play the banjo. Sheâs bi! She got annoyed by her Collectron so she ripped out its voice module. She also tried to do this to the Grafton Mayor, but to no avail.

BIO:
Life in the Wastes wasnât easy with foes lurking around nearly every corner; from the puny Rad-Roach to the towering Behemoth it took skill to survive the irradiated terrain. Cynder certainly had her claws full; especially being the only Quantum Deathclaw and only Female Alpha of her kind; the only that she knew of that is. Most wanted her dead for her uniquely glowing black and cyan hide and horns, perhaps make a nice gauntlet from her claws or make a delectable Quantum Deathclaw Steak; but alas none could for her intelligence was too much for them. Far too many times the hunter became the prey when it came down to them trying to take this fae down; other times they were left fruitless when she quickly fled the area. Cynder was known as the âQuantum Terrorâ in Nuka World; her home, not many whom saw her lived to tell the tale; her only human allies being Gage and the Raiders whom she became the âOverbossâ of after a long fight with Colter. Cynder had no Pack; she had no desire for one when it came down to it, despite her intelligence making it easily capable for her to interact and communicate with humans and humanoids alike she enjoyed keeping her solitude in Nuka World. Cynder was no ordinary Deathclaw though, there was a far deeper tale to her origins that only the select few were graced with hearing; Cynder was the result of a prewar experiment brought to life by a vile Prewar ghoul; his assignment to use the powerful weaponized Quantum to create a super weaponâŚand what other than a walking Quantum Deathclaw would succeed such expectations? And thus Cynder was created; a Quantonium beast with the intelligence of a human, body of a Deathclaw and aid of weaponized Quantumpulsing throughout her veins and body alongside the ability to enter a more humanoid form and anthropomorphic form at will; one of her only downsides being a strong addiction to Nuka ColaâŚespecially Quantum.

BIO:
Wastelanders thought they had lost their minds to radiation when they first saw the hybrid in flight, not many dared to even shoot at the glowing beast before them; a deathclaw and a scorchbeast both fused into this hellish nightmare. Only a few people ever knew how Nuka came to be, how Cynder had managed to create such a thing on her own, the beast that many feared. But in truth Nuka spent way more of her time hunting for cranberries and Nuka Cola over terrorizing innocents. Being the daughter of a Quantum Deathclaw brought many benefits for she inherited all of her mother's 'powers', naturally the scorchbeast genetics brought on a few more hidden goodies.

Finding Friends in Strange Places
So this was inspired by something that happened to me while playing Fallout 76. I think this proves I find inspiration at the oddest moments XD
----------------------------
Skye's lungs burned as she sprinted across the uneven ground. Above her the scorchbeast screeched as it followed her. Ahead of her was a forest of strange pink trees. Skye didn't care if they glowed blue and sang Country Roads as long as she could find cover in the mutated foliage. As she ran she noticed that the ground sunk in and formed broken tunnels. She thanked her luck as she dived into a tunnel and pressed her back against the moist earth.
"Fuck fuck fuck." She panted as she dug through her bag for a stimpak. She winced as the needle sunk into her side and began to stitch up the gash on her side.Â
This wasn't how she thought her day was going to go. She just wanted to help a messenger bot and get paid then get home and enjoy an omelette or a nuka cola.Â
Instead after she escorted the messenger bot she ran into two scorched and had a wendigo sneak up on her. Of course as if things couldn't get any worse; the scorchbeast flying across the sky noticed her and decided it wanted a skinny purple haired snack.
Skye coughed as a yellow mist filled the tunnel. Was that beast trying to gas her out? Her hands trembled as she clutched her shotgun. There was no way she could outrun it with how much she was weighed down and fighting wasn't an option without ammo. The only thing she could do was wait and pray the beast gets tired of waiting or this gas kills her quickly.
"Hey you overgrown rat with wings! Come down here so I can kick your ass!"
Skye jumped at the voice, not expecting to hear someone sound so... enthusiastic.Â
"Save some for me! I'm in the mood for scorchbeast steak!"
Skye was confused when she heard another enthusiastic voice. She crawled out of the hole and peeked over the ledge to try and find the source of the voices. Through the trees she could see two people in power armor running by and chasing the scorchbeast. As she snuck out of the forest she saw one of the guys hit the beast with a missile and the beast struggled to fly for a moment before crashing down to the ground. The guy with the missile launcher whooped as he looked at the other guy with a minigun.
"Ha! And the kill goes to Scorcher!"
"Yeah yeah, how about you check if Nuka Grape is still alive."
"UmâŚ"
Both men looked over as Skye stepped out from behind a tree. The one Skye guessed was Scorcher lowered his launcher and leaned on it. His face was hidden by his helmet but Skye could tell from the tone of his voice that he was grinning.
"Well now, it looks like Nuka Grape survived."
"Nuka...Grape?"
Scorcher gestured to her purple hair.
"Your hair. It reminds me of a bottle of nuka grape. God I haven't had a bottle of nuka grape since my trip to Nuka World when I was five. Hey Boomer! I wonder what Nuka World looks like now!"
Skye could almost see Boomer roll his eyes through his helmet.
"Don't mind him, he likes giving nicknames. We saw your hair and realized you were another person and came to help."
While Boomer was talking to Skye, Scorcher made his way over to the fallen scorchbeast and took out a machete. He began to chop off chunks of meat from the carcass after cutting out a hearty chunk of meat he waved to Boomer and Skye, blood from the meat slinging left and right.
"Hey Nuka Grape! You're a vault dweller right? You got a camp or something nearby?!"
Skye scratched the back of her head and grinned weakly.
"Sorry, I set up camp near the broken Summerville dam but I have a small set up near the old antique store."
Scorcher wrapped up the meat and tossed it to Skye who caught it without getting too much leaking blood on her already stained vault suit.
"Well then lead the way! I know a recipe for a cranberry meatball grinder that'll knock the boots off you!"
Skye looked between Boomer and Scorcher before shrugging and placing the meat carefully into her pack.
"Alright, just try not to destroy my cooking pot."
"No promises, I got a bet with Boomer I can cook with power armor on!"
Skye looked back at Boomer with a raised eyebrow.
"Is he always like this?"
Boomer laughed while Scorcher ran off to attack what he swore was the mothman.
"Been that way since we headed down from New Jersey. I'm pretty sure I'm ninety percent of his impulse control."
Skye could believe it as she watched Scorcher run back and beg to use Boomer's fatman since it wasn't the mothman but a "nasty gross bloatfly".
