@solarathesniper under the cut cause this one is kinda long
“Ran out of disease cures. There’s so many people out here, leaving that vault up there, brand new into the wasteland. They’re all so under prepared, I end up handing out those cures and Radaway like candy. I wish my vaccine was complete, they’d have nothing to worry about if it was. I can’t help but feel like I’m not doing enough. The research I found from the Responders at the Morgantown Airport wasn’t enough, even mixed with Radaway the volunteers are still... Dying... They knew the risks, I warned them, but... It’s still my fault. It doesn't work, and I know it doesn’t. There was nothing in the Ash Heap, there’s nothing in the Forest. There’s nothing in the Savage Divide. The Toxic Valley is a waste of time. The only places I’ve yet to scour are the Cranberry Bog and the Mire. We just haven’t had the time or supplies to make it out there yet. I cracked the calf plating of my prosthesis even more trying to climb up those damn cliffs in the Divide. I’ve got to try and fix it with something before we can make it across the mountain range.
Aside from all that, I think I’m figuring out a little more about these firecaps that seem to cure diseases so well. Just like the bloodleaf, it doesn’t work alone. Mixing the two together with snaptail reeds though, they’ll cure just about any natural disease. It’s fascinating. It doesn’t touch radiation poisoning in any way, but since it can seemingly cure any other disease it still makes it worth while to take the time to hunt down the ingredients. I don’t seem to be able to contract any of these diseases, but a lot of those vault dwellers come to me with crazy diseases I’ve never even heard of like “buzz brain?” What even is that? They call it whatever symptoms they first notice it seems. I’m not sure it really matters what it really is, because these firecap disease cures seem to cure everything. None of them care what proper medical term it is anyway.
The firecaps themselves are fascinating. Their appearance is disgusting though!! They grow on rotting wood and in leaf mold, like most mushrooms.
What’s most interesting though, is the majority of firecaps I find grow at the base of or very close to starlight creeper plants.
I’m not sure why. They don’t seem to have a symbiotic relationship, but it doesn't seem parasitic either. And as far as I can tell, it isn’t commensalism either. Typically I’d play this off as a coincidence, but I don’t think it is, too many grow like this for it to just be coincidence I’ll have to dig around in the dirt and study the firecap’s mycelium and the starlight creeper’s root system to be sure.
The starlight berries themselves have no medicinal properties. I’m not sure why they seem to be connected like this. I’ll have to look into it more when I have some free time. For now I should just try to fix my prosthesis, I got word of some interesting research I want to check out hidden somewhere in a bunker in the Mire.”

man fo76 can just be so cute relaxing and chill whenever u like <3 <3 <3
i only had an hour n a half or so to play before sleep so i just spent it cooking
i needed sugar and i knew there were plenty more snaptail reeds to make it in flatwoods - which is rly close to my richters house - so i just jogged over there to get it and saw a big house along the way. since they were by the road i figured they were ok w ppl visiting so i was just gonna look and admire but i saw the owner was in there ( which i kinda knew when i remembered seeing a character staying in place around there on the map ) they motioned for richter to come in and showed him around and encouraged him to chill n play the piano. they went off adventuring while he was playing so i just had richter leave a bag of treats hed just cooked on the desk for them for when they returned lol
so i continued on my way to flatwoods and cooked all the things to the point of being overencumbered then i sold half richters food and jogged him back to his house before signing off
...hit level 55 and u might think ive discovered most places n reached the endgame
but
no ive spent 50% of this game just gardening n cooking

Raw violet flux is a consumable item in Fallout 76.
Characteristics
Raw violet flux is a byproduct found on vegetation which has been affected by a high degree of radiation. It can be consumed to quench thirst and provide a boost to disease resistance.
However, raw flux decays rapidly into inert flux and must be stabilized at a chemistry station if it is to be used for crafting.

Locations
Flux is acquired by harvesting mutated flora in nuked zones. Raw violet flux is collected by harvesting the mutated variants of the following flora:
Giant Pitcher Plant (Irradiated Pitcher Plants)
Ginseng Root (Nuka Root)
Mutated Fern Flower (Flash Fern)
Snaptail Reed (Crackletail)
Strangler Pod (Glow Pod)
Wild Razorgrain (Gigagrain)
Wild Tarberry (Half-life Hips)
