It's been a long time since I last recorded anything. A lot has happened, and changed.

My revival of the Responders failed due to infighting, and ultimately had to be dissolved. That's now the 2nd faction that has failed for the same exact reason, so I've ultimately decided to steer clear of factions. This may change in the far future, but for my own sake and the peoples' close to me sakes, I have decided to once again become a lone wanderer.

One constant throughout all of this was one I had taken in fresh out of Vault 76, Felix Reed. It took some time understandably to gain their trust, but we have become fast friends, as well as mentor and student. Felix seems fit to inherit the skills my mother taught me - they have the mindset needed for it. All that's needed is training, and time, and slowly but surely we've been working on that - even after my faction dissolved.

They eventually decided to move in next door to my bar, now fittingly renamed The Lamp Bar. It has close proximity to the Lighthouse, you see.

After my faction dissolved, I heard tell that the Free States Militia had also dissolved for the same reason. Apparently there is an offshoot with some of the more competent members, and from what I can tell they're doing fine. This has left me some concern that some of the less savory members of the original group may target me without the agreement I had in place with their leader holding them back. This, among other things, prompted me to ask Solomon to restructure my face. I've also dyed my hair and taken the liberty of asking Solomon to heal some of the scars while they were at it. After a brief recovery period, I should now look different enough you wouldn't recognize me as a previous Free States member, nor as the face of the Responders of the E.N.D. Better safe than sorry, I always say.

Felix was a great help both mentally and physically during and after my surgery. I'm forever grateful.

After some time just wandering around Appalachia, scavenging and the like, both by myself and with Felix, Graham announced that he was holding Meat Week once again. I decided both of us could use some fun, and apparently Graham has some new plans up for grabs in exchange for the help. So we both dressed up for the occasion and hit it the other day. It was a lot of fun, and some much needed fun after so much had happened to us both.

I hope to head there again today, this time with some other friends that thankfully weren't to involved with any of the factions. I'm very lucky to have such good friends.

Some more photos from the daily tasks the Overseers bot, Davenport, gives me. For some damned reason he's sent me to the Colonel Kelly Monument 4 times in a row, so I've taken to taking photos from different angles. Just to get some kinda change.

So I recently built the New Pioneer Scouts HQ up by Vault 51. I built it there because there was this nifty lil spot with glowing lamps I thought would make a very cool meeting spot. I figured while I was taking photos of HQ, why not take some "promo shots" of myself in full Scout regalia, to use while recruiting? These are some of the results. I think they came out pretty well.

I wish I'd gotten more photos, and thought to take a group photo of us. I had a bit of an event for my New Pioneer Scouts last night, and it went really well. Just about everyone showed up in uniform or changed into it right after (the Scouts outfit and Ranger outfit and hats are preferred, but I allow just about anything as long as it's not from another faction or just showing up straight up in the nude, or only in armor). 90 percent of people showed up in the Scout or Ranger outfit, which made things a lot more fun.

We ran some obstacle courses across the Wasteland and killed some monsters on the way. We even ended up helping each other out with gathering badges, which was a lot of fun, but we couldn't grind em all out in one night. We'll be picking it back up after next weekends event.

It was my first, successful event where people actually showed up. And I did it all on my own, though Tadpole Sean had some suggestions that I thankfully ran with and it made things even more fun.

Funny how running your own group makes things so much more peaceful and easy to manage. I had fun, and wasn't stressed, for the first time during a group faction event in ages. I don't think I've had that much of a good, stress free time since my first training with the Free States Militia, which is unfortunate.

Anyway, pictured here is one of the rides at Wavy Willards' Water Park and one of our new Tadpoles, Tadpole Firebug.

I will definitely be doing this again.
