Sarah is a Wyverian rider from Nua Te Village (they’re one of the few riders from there) and partnered with Orion, a Kushala Daora. They do not have a kinship stone and didn’t hatch Orion, he kinda js sticks around bc he feels like it. She decided to go flying with Orion one day, and might have gotten a bit lost. Yoomlana never really liked her, so she kinda just. is by herself in the wilderness. No one rlly searches for her that deeply. She’s p much lost until he stumbles upon Mahana Village, where he decides to stick around.

His armor is also made up of scrapped parts of different armors, and he wields a gunlance. those are my fave weapons in mhs2 lol

Story wise she’s a mentor for the mhs2 protag and tag along for their adventure, making the game have 3 monsties in combat. Orion is def nerfed at the beginning though lmao He takes great interest in history, so Alcala and Ratha, and also would be shown to have a pretty obvious crush on Alwin in the plot. They only become a couple post game, after she helps the protag win! (Orion gets a mid game powerup trust)

I did have a few traveling companions. My friend, who was a Wyverian from Nua Te Village, and her monsties. And, of course, my own monstie, Shaulk.

I do hope she’s been treating Shaulk okay. I miss them both dearly…

After the whole Oltura accident, Zellard tried his best to redeem himself, but he wasn’t the only one doing so : Drey and Zacharie are the only members of the Mysterious Riders who also realized the gravity of their actions and also tries their best to redeem themselves like their leader. Little did they know that a single meeting while change everything.  Musica, a Wyverian-Changeling hybrid, appears to be Zellard’s cousin (of course he didn’t know before she told them). The two of them will immediately fall in love with her, and thankfully for them, Musica is polyamorous and she also fell in love with both of Zellard’s friends. But the woman also tells them something unexpected about Oltura and the Changelings. The Changeling race was entirely created by Oltura, and therefore are pretty much considered descendants of the elder dragon, hence why they have moth-like wings and other special traits. Musica explained that it’s because of that that Zacharie was able to hear Oltura’s voice (as he is part Changeling). As for Zellard, she explained to him that, despite not being a Changeling or even a hybrid whatsoever, he is still somehow linked to the race because he has Changelings in his family (Musica is part Changeling, but one of her parents is a Changeling / the other one was the sibling of one of Zellard’s parents. But unfortunately they are all dead). It’s because of that “bloodline” that he ends up being affected by Oltura’s voice more easily than any other Wyverian. Needless to say, Musica herself was affected too. But it’s that common event that makes their bond even stronger, and Zellard is happy to have finally met someone from his biological family, and that she is living her best life with Drey and Zacharie.

-Athelleen and Eledhwen are some of the different concept arts of Yoomlana, but since they look nothing like the final design of Yoomlana and they have very interesting and beautiful designs, I decided to make these characters canon in my AU.

In Nua Te Village, all the Wyverians highly respect their leader Yoomlana, but they all most of them have a crush and wish to live forever with their leader. Hopefully for all of them, Yoomlana is very polyamorous, and among the villagers, three of them were lucky enough to be with her : these people, who are mostly women, are Athelleen, Eledhwen and Cuthalion. And together, they even already have triplets ! Athelleen is a pretty wild woman, and she can be arrogant at times, but she loves to have fun. Eledhwen is a sweet yet quiet woman. She is always with the babies and refuses to leave their side no matter what. Cuthalion, being the only man around, trained hard to be able to protect his wives and children. He is ferociously protective towards them, but deep inside he has a kind heart.

If you want to know how much more extreme Monster Hunter Frontier’s monster design got was compared to the main games, look up Diablos and Bloodbath Diablos, both main game monsters, and then look up Espinas and then Zenith Espinas, both from Frontier. Like, it’s cool in a certain way, but it’s somewhat understandable that a (surprisingly) small amount of fans didn’t like Frontier’s designs.

(Ooh, also, made it to Nua Te Village! And Cheval's like "you should really let go of your obsession with Nergigante" and my version of Leia's like "SINCE WHEN? I only heard about the Nergigante barely a day ago! Do you think I spent my entire life scowling into space fantasizing about bloody revenge for something I didn't know about and muttering "Nergigante!" under my breath? What do I look like, KYLE?!")

Instead I get one (1) combative boy tearing through Terga, climbing the mountains blind, fueled only by spite, all in order to get himself this glowing reputation in Nua Te.

Summary : Wyverians are known to have Wyvern ancestry, but nobody knows what monster is their ancestors. However, Wyverians are not the only humanoids with monster ancestry, as there’s the Temnocerians, who are humans with spider like characteristics due to their ancestors mingling with Temnocerans.

Warning : uh... Spiders theme and spider people ahead ? Just me talking about a new race I imagined for Monster Hunter world (but I focus on Monster Hunter Stories 2′s world setting because this game is just golden despite its flaws). ✨​Let's go ! ✨​

Not many knew about this population. There was a really good reason for it actually. Usually, humans were afraid of spiders. And people with spider characteristics are not something people want to see. The Temnocerian didn’t want to be taken to be experimented on or even to be considered some sort of freak show.

Rare were the Wyverians having entered into contact with them or even a proof that these people ever existed. After all, the first generations of Wyverians were more about communication with vibration while their Temnocerian equivalent couldn’t bear the strong vibrations they were emitting and were more about sign and body language.

Over time, the Temnocerians were forgotten by humans and they actually liked it better as they got rid of the various uncomfortable situations humans brought up with them. They built their own villages across the world, depending on what type of Temnoceran their ancestors were. Built underground or in dark humid places, those villages were never troubled by anything, as they slept by day and lived at night, some going to hunt while others were just living their own life.

Until the red lighted pits started showing up everywhere. While there were only Temnocerians in the underground villages, they were enraged by the light, which was hurting their eyes but was also making them mad, as they tended to act like their monster ancestors, like the light was reconnecting them to the primal instinct they buried deep down in their minds. And they wanted to escape the only safe places they knew, as the vibrations were not something they could ignore as it was a sign of something way bigger than themselves.

They reconnected with the Wyverian, with the Rutoh and the Nua Te villages, trying to find a place to live temporarily, until the pits disappear. The Wyverians are surprised to see the people they thought were only myth be real but they still welcomed them, as they see they are troubled and they know that those pits are not usual, so it brings a lot of unusual situations.

The two people are getting along quite nicely. Food and housing isn’t even really a problem, as the Temnocerians settled in some dark part in the forest or environment around the villages and they don’t specifically need vegetables or plants to survive. Only mushrooms and meat, as it’s the only things they can eat in the underground. Wyverians even start to leave some of their essential shops open at night, to accommodate the underground people, in case. As the Temnocerians don’t have any currency, they sell the cloth they produce before having some money to adapt this system more easily. Even if at first, they tried to pay for things by offering cloth in exchange for goods.

While the Wyverians don’t communicate through vibration anymore, they don’t see the Temnocerians often, like they’re not even there. Too much light and they don’t really know how to interact with other species than their own. The few Wyverians who went to them describe their temporary settling like a gigantic hive, constructed of various nests made of durable web they seem to be able to produce on their own, but nobody seems to be inclined to share how they do it.

Given that the pits bring the worst in surrounding monsters, the Temnocerians and Wyverians are teaming up in keeping the population safe. The Wyvern people patrolled everywhere during the day and the Temnoceran people patrolled during nights.

Wyverians can’t help but admire and be curious about their spider traits and have a lot of questions about them.

How do they make the web for their housing ? Is it crafted by some secret art or it’s coming from their bodies ? Anyway, how can something viewed as fragile as a spider web become rock solid in their hands ?

How do they see the world ? The number of eyes varies depending on the person and it’s always a question of how they see the world. Especially with their sensitive vision. Do they even have a sense of colors ?

And their skin, as white as snow due to lack of sun and very smooth, like the web they can do. How do they sense things since they seem to rely on it. The Wyvern people noticed the Temnocerians as quite skilled into analyzing something just by touch.

Concerning their bodies, it can be all sorts of combinations. Some have multiple arms, others multiple eyes. Most of them just look like humans, but simply very pale, with spider like abilities. Some, very few of them, take more from their Temnoceran ancestors, as they have some exoskeletons on them, especially on their spine or arms, when it’s not having another pair of spider arms, like their monster ancestors had. The Wyverian also noticed the Temnocerians are very silent, even when moving despite being heavier than the Wyverians or humans due to their bodies. And combined with the fact they are smaller than the average Wyverian or human, they can easily spook people out without realizing. Especially since their clothing are mostly made to be unseen in the dark, to avoid being attacked by whatever monster there is in the underground or even to avoid being unnecessarily attacked by monsters when they hunt at night.

However their behavior is way different toward their own kind, as an underground life is not easy. It hardened them to their very core and they are not really talkative, most of the time they help each other in silence since they don’t specifically need words to speak, body language is enough. But they are also very gentle with other forms of life, like the Wyverians. The spider people understand they are softer and do not have the same way of working. When they speak, Temnocerians are actually very simple, straightforward and they don’t waste time in explanations and don’t justify themselves. It is what it is and losing time on useless words isn’t not helpful. 

While they understand and try to be open and respectful about other cultures, the clash sometimes makes the Temnocerians a bit uncomfortable, especially regarding food.

As I said, they feed only on what they can find underground or in the wild outside, they survive on meat and mushrooms. And they probably eat it raw as a fire would hurt their eyes and they never waste the food they get as they are not sure if there would be a next meal. They’re also not afraid to eat poison, as they have an immunity to it and they can eat/drink poisoned things. But the Wyverians have various foods in big quantities they grow themselves and have the luxury to prepare it in all sorts of ways. Temnocerian can’t get why Wyverian children are so picky or why there’s leftovers. Well, they get it’s because the other people have comfort, choices and techniques they don’t have, but they still can’t understand it. What if there’s a disaster or simply a bad harvest ? Are children going to wait until they get the food like they want ? It’s confusing.

When the red lighted pits adventure comes to a closure, Temnocerians aren’t sure of what to do. Having contact with the outside is nice and maybe it’s a good thing. But at the same time, they’re not ready as they don’t know how to take advantage of their nightly lives while being permanently on the surface or how to grow food, like the Wyverians. And the Temnocerians can’t eternally depend on them as they first came here to wait until the pits situation was over and staying there more than they need might destroy the environment’s ecosystem. Most of them will come back to their old villages and take back their classical lifestyle, but a small part of them will stay on the surface, to discover the world properly and maybe to start a new chapter of their race’s story by learning how to live under the Sun and Moon’s light.

Well, three if you count the resemblance I see between some of them and the Sheikah (the Wyverian settlement at the Nua Te Village in Stories 2 are the ones to blame for this, tbh) like I mentioned before but whatever.

The first was drawing Purah's hand pose with only four fingers, lol.

The second was to draw Robbie's slipper thingies with his digitigrade feet, I was gonna change his footwear, but I wanted to do that for funsies.
