I like the necromancer band! Is Derey a skeleton? Also is Neil blind? And is Adder a part snake? I want to hear about them!

I'm making a small comic about them so more info to come soon about their relationship to other characters (at least with Ex-Jay)! But I can definitely answer these and would love to just ramble!

Daray is technically an organic/living puppet. Similar to how Matvey and Quida are made of metal, and Matvey has more organically machanical parts to him, Daray is made out of a kinda of wood like how I think Mama would be made of.

He has a skin condition that is advanced by his powers where his bones show through his body in an abstract way. His powers (which are kinda like Eve's in an illusionary sense) advance this and cause his markings to show up on thin and tight clothes. Thicker or loose clothes don't get his bone markings on them. (His skull doesn't show up on his face other than his mandible because he's spent years practicing his powers to hide it, but now he lets it show during some of his shows to look cool).

Also technically it's just Daray who is making music. So I wouldn't call the three together a "band" but Daray CAN make illusionary skeleton puppets to play holo-instruments. Similar to how Eve can make her arms real for a short period of time, Daray can make puppet real enough to play actual music, though he has to be in full control of them. He is very good at multitasking musical instruments but can only really do 5 max at a time. So he usually sticks to 4 puppets playing holo-instruments (cello/double bass, trumpet/sax/trombone, drums, and piano/keyboard) while he is on his computer/dj deck.

Neil has significant vision loss and is declared legally blind, but he is not 100% blind. He has some vision and if he's in a place he knows (like his hometown or something) then instead of using a long cane he tends to either use a guide or symbol cane. However, he always carries his long cane with him in his bag or back pocket in case he's going somewhere new.

He can play a few instruments but doesn't really make music. He used to have a different job, I don't know what, but I feel like he helped teach people, maybe a teacher's assistant or something. Honestly, I can actually see him teaching people how to play music, especially non conventional methods like how to play by ear instead of reading sheet music. But once Daray started growing with his music, Neil became a full time manager for him. Obviously Daray is paying him.

And yes, Adder is part snake! I like to think very little of his snake shows up in his appearance compared to the rest of his family, which is why he got the snakebite piercings and leans heavily into snake themes with his chains.

Speaking of his chains, he has control over metal, allowing him to change the shape and strength of metal as he works with it. Because of this, he works as a jewelry making custom body jewelry in lots of different shapes and animals. He is seen as a really high end jewelry for the alt scene as his works are super durable, sometimes seem impossible to make, and are pretty affordable, making him really well known. Bunny actually wants to try and do a collab with him or at least get one of his pieces

He can play music by ear but literally cannot read sheet music for the life of him. He is basically musically dyslexic so if Neil never taught him to play by ear, then Adder wouldn't be able to play music at all. Though he doesn't want to make a career out of music mainly because it is really hard for him to keep whole songs in his head as obviously trying to write it down won't help him at all. Instead he stays close to the music scene through Daray and helps him with his finances as he is already good at that with his own business he's got going on.

I'm already loving these three idiots so much and I do have plans for them to hang around my stories, even if they are not directly hanging out with Megastars, they will at least be a good way for me to bring in Hydrar and Timbre into my head more.

Also fun fact! In my Failed Revolution AU, the person to take DJSS's place as the Cast Tech charter is going to be Necropolis! So at least I no longer have to be vague about the new charter whenever I talk about that AU now lol

If you can trans one of your cis NSR characters right now, who would you choose?

I like how you worded this as if i CAN, as if I haven't transed more than half of the NSR cast lol!

So the options are: Mayday, Tila, Yinu (as of now), Mama, Papa, Carna (kinda), Eve, DK West, Cyril, Noa, Asa, Daray, Adder, Neil (kinda), Elivy (maybe), Quida, Joust, Martha, Aria (maybe), Esther, Braam, Alyona, Matvey, Sarabi (kinda), Nuru (kinda), Celine, and Joey.

Those are all the cis characters on my list (doesn't include all NSR characters, just those I deem as important to me/I am interested in). Now I realize that you are probably asking about my OCs, but I'm gonna account for all of these characters.

I can tell you right off the bat who I would NOT trans because it is important to their story that they are cisgender. That is Quida, Joust, Martha, and Matvey. Those 4 are important to stay cis, and technically by extension I guess Alyona also needs to stay cisgender.

I would say, for canon characters, I would like to trans both Mama and Papa and make them a T4T couple. But if I had to choose one, then it's honestly a toss up between the two! I like the idea that Papa could be a transman or Mama is a transwoman, but I think I am leaning more towards Papa being a transwoman in this regard. Also gives me ideas of a universe where Yinu is adopted instead of biologically related to either parent.

Also like... Trans Eve is a good headcanon that I love. Trans either way works for me! :D

For OC's though, I kinda like the idea of Nuru being trans or.... hmmm. Maybe Daray since someone said he gives off transmasc energy lol. I don't know really. Carna identifies as "cis" as much as fae can (pronouns do not equal gender), but I can see faer turning out identifying as trans later on in some way or another (I probably gave faer a label before, but it is not in my list so if I did then I forgot).

So yeah. If I had to choose it is between Mama, Papa, Eve, Nuru, Daray, and Carna. To choose one from that I would pick Carna, though I guess that is a tossup kinda as fae doesn't strongly identify as cisgender. In that case, I am picking Daray!

👀 for the Lesser NSRtists?

Technically there are a LOT of NSR artists, but obviously you meant the important ones lol. The top of NSR's lesser artists under each Megastar for each district!

For Cast Tech we have the newest addition to the NSR family, DJ Necropolis (AKA, Daray). He is a pretty quiet guy who only really cares about music and sorta his friends Adder and Neil.

I say sorta because he tends to have this mindset of "don't see, don't care" where if someone isn't presently in his life a lot, he tends to forget they exist until they come back in.

So even though he sees those two a lot because he works with them, and he would considering both of them his best friends, he still tends to push them out of his mind when not actively engaging with them (he pretty much never reaches out first, can easily stop communicating with them, as well as having a hard time really connecting with their problems in a meaningful way).

For work it's different since there are deadlines and people like Tatiana are above him, making it hard to forget them (which is good, otherwise he'd probably be bad at his work if he didn't have that constant pressure). But otherwise, he's not very talkative and very much not making friends easily.

Much more of a wallflower who only talks about music. Which the other NSRtists and Megastars get bored with since that is their jobs (well other than Nova, which is a good thing that Daray was put in their district since Nova and Daray get along fairly well since all they talk about is work related subjects).

In Akusuka is Popstart! Real name: Maple! Well, that is what she changed her name to, it used to be Mabel, but she liked Maple.

She's an adult, but looks younger. It doesn't help that she has braces since she wasn't able to have them when she was younger, or that she leans into that hyper pop kind of theme that Sayu has going on.

I think her genre would be some kind of like "candy pop" and hyper pop mixed together. Super sweet, upbeat, probably reminiscent of early 2000s pop music is what I think she would have. Or at least what it would grow into as she would have the freedom to go into that side of music after the revolution (as the "candy pop" music I am hearing sounds kinda more rock than edm).

She has a tail! It is her real tail! It is supposed to be a squirrel tail, but it is made of sweets/goo so a lot of people think she is some kind of snail instead (based off a comment/ask saying she was a snail lol).

Technically Ex-Jay is also one of the top lesser NSRtists, but only for a little while. They outranked Popstart for a bit, but would soon leave NSR to just do their own thing since they couldn't travel as much, but also the fact that working for NSR wasn't really their goal anymore from when they were teens.

In Natura we have Synthia! Plenty has been said about Synthia already. He's a neglected kid trying to do everything to make his mother proud of him, or at the very least love him even a little bit.

He honestly doesn't actually care about NSR. Similar to Daray, he has a hard time caring about other people except a select few. It really is just him and his mom for the longest time, and he was trying to do anything to upstage Yinu and take her title as Natura's Charter.

Obviously he didn't get it as Yinu is still charter after the timeskip, when she decides to retire and travel with Peni. I think it would be neat if Synthia was offered the role of charter by Yinu (or like Yinu would put in a good word for him) but he hesitates or declines it because he doesn't actually want that, and he's no longer in contact with his mother (because of his mother cutting contact) that he has no real idea what to do with his life anymore.

It is thanks to Carna and Riko coming into his life that he is able to live more for himself. I would say all three of them are pretty selfish in their own ways, which is actually what makes them all really good friends, as they can understand when the others do something selfish as that is something they can see themselves doing.

So kind of a dysfunctional little friend group, but it works out for them. Plus it's probably the only friends Carna and Synthia ever had outside of family and work (Riko is probably the most functional out of the three and still has friends from Japan she talks with).

In the Metro Division we have my earliest NSR OCs, Hydrar, Timbre, and EGEg! Their band used to be called "Amarus Amares" but I'm thinking of changing that.

Anyway, Hydrar was crushing on Timbre heavily, but at some point I just decided to put them in a relationship because I want to. Most likely EGEg ended up pushing them to opening up to each other so she didn't have to see Hydrar fall over her own words all the time because of her major crush.

Hydrar lost her arm in a car accident. She was helped by one of Neon J's outreach programs to help people get prosthetics. She has been looking up to him ever since.

Timbr similarly looks up to Neon J, but because he was one of the first famous people who had a head similar to hers that she knew of (her head is made of glass, but it is rectangular and fragile similar to Neon J's monitor head).

So because of both of their fascination with Neon J, the two became good friends and started their band together to try and become NSRtists one day! They took the theme of 1010 seriously and made themselves out to look like robots (Timbr making a protector for her head to look like a screen, and Hydrar covering up anything that isn't robotic and wearing a mechanical mask). It honestly worked because most of their fanbase thinks they are robots.

As for EGEg. At first she was supposed to be an alien species that was created from a past mutual's oc species based off of DJSS. But I actually want to recreate her a bit as that no longer fits the Eriverse (since that lore was made before I had "elementals" down).

So for now, EGEg is a space elemental similar to Nova who was really down on her luck after a really bad breakup. She ran into Timbr and Hydrar who took her in, and she became their manager.

She doesn't make any music, and honestly has no idea how to do anything music related. She really just manages the more business side of things and gives a more consumer input to Hydrar and Timbre's music since she isn't a professional.

And for the final district, Ana in Dream Fever!

Gonna be honest, she is the least developed in my head out of all the lesser NSRtists. All I know is she is a fucking bitch who will step on others to get up in the ladder.

I see her having a kind of parasocial relationship with Eve. Similar to what Timbr and Hydrar have going on with Neon J, but she is a lot more toxic with hers and will do anything for Eve.

Actually, I would say that her relationship with Eve is similar to that of Eve's relationship with Tatiana in the game. Where Eve is putting everything she has into being good enough for Tatiana, and this is exactly what Ana is doing for Eve.

Except that Ana is also a massive bitch and doesn't actually care about others. Like Eve can be mean, but she truly does care about others and wants to help people out (we can see this with her art pieces that also help with the flooding). Ana is just a heartless bitch hiding behind a pretty face.

As for her powers, I think she has some kind of star power, or something to do with lights. I was at first gonna have her have light strings, similar to what Ilia has, but then I created Ilia as a character with string powers (Imma be honest with you chief, I really just LOVE string powers and barrier powers. I gotta try to not overuse them lol).

But yea, I have no idea what Ana's powers are gonna be, but she does have something. I want her to be related to strings and the small harp/lyre as an instrument.

I don't think she's a character who can be changed for the better, but she is one who could be subdued into a more passive role (unlike Matvey who is always actively hostile or Sharon who is negatively passive, Ana will be a neutral passive leaning towards a fake positive to make others just get off her back).

Basically once she gets truly humbled, she'll just be a two faced bitch who pretends to be nice to everyone but actually has no real friends close enough to her and instead her life is very lonely and bitter yet she does nothing to change it for the better.

I think her and Adder would be good friends! :D
