IMO – Result declaration

Declaration of results for the olympiad takes place within 8 weeks after the test is conducted. Results for every student who takes the examination are sent by SOF to the respective school. Students can also collect their result from the office directly. Further the results for IMO can also be checked on the official website of SOF. Also, the results for the same is to be announced tentatively by December – January for Level 1 and for Level 2 by March – April.

The result for the olympiad is provided to students participating in the form of a Student Performance Report (SPR). The report has details of a student's performance in each section of the exam. Given that the NSO Group’s software can be used by governments with the necessary credentials, the company argued that it is protected under sovereign immunity laws [3] which would absolve it from being sued because it was “acting as an agent for unidentified foreign governments when it installed the “Pegasus” spyware” [2]. However, new developments have been made after a U.S. court of appeals for the ninth circuit rejected this claim, allowing the lawsuit to be pursued and deciding that NSO is not “entitled to the protection of a foreign sovereign” [3]. The Israeli spyware company must now prepare for a legal battle. This would demand that the NSO Group take accountability for their software–despite having possibly been used by another government’s intelligence agency–over the repercussions faced by WhatsApp users who were hacked on the app.

These allegations are the result of WhatsApp’s claims that “the software was used for the surveillance of 1.400 people, including journalists, human rights activists and dissidents” [2]. This calls into question why these individuals were being targeted if the software should be utilized by law enforcement to combat harmful practices and global issues.
