I have two upcoming scripts written (fingers crossed I can record and edit them soon) but until those drop, I'd like to point out something I happened to notice about a week ago!

Today (May 30th) marks one year since Romeo's Confession Audio (as seen below):

While I have a lot of videos I love/am proud of/etc., there's something that feels so special about this particular audio for a few reasons.

Out of all my characters, Romeo is the one people talk about the most. Excluding friends who also listen to NR, him and Sunny get brought up a lot and it always make me grin a lot

He's the first of the vivified speakers I ever had, so similarly to Kordelia (first speaker ever), he's got a special place in my heart

There was so much set-up/build up to that audio— Lots of which was purposefully misleading! I had that audio in mind from the moment I introduce Romeo, and it was super fun being able to finally unveil it

I just love the audio a lot honestly? It was a challenge to record, but by the end when he's shown Sunshine his true form and tears up, it feels worth it.

I've got some life stuff happening in the next few days but like I said, scripts are being written so hopefully I'll be back soon! Thanks for the patience and any love sent the channel's way /pos

i don't think there are any haters of the theme of emu fes (or at least i haven't seen them as much as i saw tsukasa fes' haters. this card i am also defending for the rest of my life but this has been already said so there's nothing much from me to say) but if there actually IS someone then you're not invited to my emu themed birthday party

both the untrained and the card story are perfect in capturing emu's grief, which is definitely not talked about enough in this fandom — even though phenniland is saved and she has moved on onto the "new world" with the rest of wxs, she still misses her grandpa dearly, obviously. she still wants to see him, this is the very core of her feelings and motivation

and her trained does a good job too. it's not my favorite emu card ever, but it serves being a fes card very well. it doesn't have to be all sparkling and whimsical, it's supposed to reflect emu's very self — the innocent and nostalgic part of her, the one who still looks up into the past sometimes, despite going forward (hence her pose, or at least i like to think so). yes! i had different themes in mind! but a calm and bittersweet emu fes is ABSOLUTELY what she deserves, because she's not just an one-dimensional always happy wandahoi whose cards HAVE to be full of things happening on them 24/7

listening to the intrepid heroes talk about high school experiences and stuff is kinda funny as a non-northamerican person, bc when i remember what i was doing at the bad kids' age and its

i had already graduated high school by the time i turned 17

i was always just a boring nerd with overprotective and overbearing parents

no money to do much outside of waiting for college to start

i wasn't allowed to work bc. reasons

so me being 17 can be divided in two periods:

baby's first semester on premed/medschool/whatever. sad. stressed. really just nightmarish times.

3. What is their love language?

Physical touch definitely. It's mostly small touches throughout the day, Sigrid leaning her head against Karlach's shoulder, Karlach reaching for Sigrid's hand when they walk, stuff like that. Quality time too, post-avernus they go on silly dates and shit :)

5. What is something they like to do together?

They like to do lots of things together! But they love reading together. I’ve talked about it before but Sigrid did have to relearn how to read, now it’s just something they like to do together like any good old couple. They recommend books to each other sometimes, thought their tastes do differ But sometimes Karlach reads to Sigrid, or vice versa. It’s something they find comfort and fun in.

9. If there wasnt enough seats, how would they sit? One on the other's lap? One on the armrest? One on the floor in front of them?

If there's only one seat, you bet your ass Sigrid sits on Karlach's lap. Mostly at Karlach's insistence, Sigrid wouldn't want to impose too much so she'd over to sit on the floor- but Karlach wouldn't have it. There's enough room on Karlach's lap for Sigrid <3

12. What is something their S/O does that makes them flustered?

For Sigrid it’s definitely the public kisses and just PDA in general. Sometimes after a fight Karlach checks on Sigrid, always followed by a post-battle kiss and a ‘Good job, baby.’ Sigrid just melts into the floor

And I think Karlach would get flustered by the way Sigrid compliments her. Sigrid’s a bard, writer, she definitely has a poetic side if she wishes to utilise it. Sigrid compliments definitely have a way of charm- although they sometimes sound like something out of a trashy romance novel. ‘The way your muscles flexed in the heat of battle made my heart race’ is a great example of Sigrid’s compliment range

13. What is something they find hot about their S/O?

Sigrid likes Karlach's muscles. Obviously. She also really finds Karlach's scars attractive, it's a big thing in her mind. Shows how strong Karlach is, shows how much she can endure.

Karlach finds Sigrid's wit hot. And her intelligence too tbh. (17 cha, and 17 int. Go Sigrid gooooo) while Sigrid's being snarky, you can find Karlach giggling and kicking her legs like a schoolgirl because 'damn that's hot'

14. What is something they argue about constantly? Is it a deep-seated issue or something small?

Hmmm can't really think of anything BIG, but they have some small squabbles about things like food and stuff. Actually one reoccurring 'argument' they have is when cuddling Sigrid sometimes gets too hot because of Karlach's engine. So she kind of rolls away/pushes Karlach away and then they sleepily grumble at each other. (Karlach usually relents, but Sigrid quickly searches for close proximity again after like five minutes of small distance)

15. How do they comfort one another when the other is upset?

If Sigrid's upset, Karlach usually comforts her with words of affirmation. "I know, it makes sense to be upset. It's okay, I'm here." Coupled with shoulder kisses, feather light and loving.

If Karlach's upset, Sigrid tends to cradle Karlach's face with both her hands, rubbing circles onto Karlach's cheeks with her thumbs while either listening to Karlach talk about it or whisper small reassurances.

16. Who is the better caretaker? Does their S/O like being taken care of?

Karlach 100%. Sigrid can take care of Karlach too- if Karlach's sick Sigrid would definitely be able to take care of her. But Karlach's more natural at it methinks. And Sigrid doesn't say that she likes being taken care of, but it's obvious she does. She loves it when Karlach takes care of her.

18. They've had a major blowout. How do they handle it?

Oh they definitely don't talk for a few hours, maybe a whole day even. Depending on what caused the blowout, maybe two days of no talking. Eventually when their tempers are more... calm- they'll both have talked with someone else about the fight- Karlach is probably the one to search out Sigrid again.

They'll talk, not necessarily without snarky remarks, but they'd be able to talk it out. It would take a bit though. Sigrid definitely would ask for more space for a few days, but in the end would go back to Karlach. She just needs time to reevaluate her thoughts and emotions.

27. Who tends to drive on long journeys? Who navigates?

Karlach is usually designated driver, but they switch if Karlach gets tired. Sigrid navigates, albeit not tooo great. She's okay with directions, but she tends to get distracted on the road. "Did you see that bird?" "Babe I think a bug hit our window" "I saw a deer!" and then forgets her task. She tries though

38. What would be their ideal evening in?

Ohh big good dinner before they take a bath together. Then they'd probably just spend time lounging around the sofa together, Sigrid reading a book while they cuddle. Then they'd go snore mimimimimimi. (or have gay sex who knows)

39. Do they dance? If so, who's better?

Yes! They definitely do. They could dance all night, Karlach's definitely better at it. Sigrid's never been much of a 'good' dancer but she does enjoy it with Karlach

42. Who teases who? What about?

Oh they both tease each other about stuff, but Karlach's the biggest tease. Karlach teases Sigrid about many things, but her favourite is teasing about Sigrid's tail. Sig's tail is pretty sensitive, like if you tug or poke it she'll have a reaction- and Karlach relishes in it.

46. If they were ever in a life or death situation, who risks their life?

Both next question. theyre both so ride or die, they'd kill for one another unhealthily hope this helps

47. If it ever came down to it, who is turning to the darkside to save the other?

Sigrid 100%. She has morals but... also values personal connection above that. Especially Karlach. She'd become archduchess of the Hells to save Karlach, no matter how much Karlach wouldn't want her to.

49. Is there a word or gesture that makes either of them melt?

For Sigrid it's definitely the word 'baby', and the way that Karlach rubs her thumb over Sigrid's knuckles.

For Karlach it's the way Sigrid says 'Love', feels like a blessing each time. And when Sigrid gets on her tip-toes to kiss Karlach's nose. That reallyyy melts her

55. Who spoils who? Does their S/O tolerate it? Do they secretly enjoy it?

Karlach spoils Sigrid <3 I mean they both spoil each other but Karlach makes a big habit of it. Karlach will give Sigrid flowers, gifts, take her out on fancy dates, and Sigrid loves it. She's never felt this way before and she never wants the feeling to stop

60. Are they willing to show PDA? If not, is there a reason?

Yeah they're snogging in public. They're not ashamed and Sigrid wants to touch Karlach as much as she can bc she likes doing it <3

62. How would outside characters describe their relationship?

Hmmmm. Depends on WHO you would ask but i'm gonna go with how Wyll would describe it (their collective bestie) "A tale so romantic it'll leave poets aching decades after it's over." (<- hopeless romantic)

67. Have they ever done it anywhere questionable?

yeah. when they were in sorcerous sunderies, things got.. heated Started with one quick peck on the lips, then turned to two, then Sigrid dragged Karlach into a.. sort of secluded spot. Cast darkness and then tried to stay as quiet as possible. the rest is history

71. If someone were to insult their S/O, how would the other handle it?

I think they'd both have the same reaction- fistfight.

72. If someone flirted with or showed an interest in their S/O, how would the other react?

Sigrid wouldn't say anything, but she has a death stare that might just kill someone on the spot. She'll definitely mouth things to the other person 'No one will find your body'. She's just a leetle protective

Karlach would be more pouty I think. She wouldn't threaten the other person like Sigrid, but she'd be tell Sigrid 'I didn't like that guy hitting on you. You're mine, right?' and come forth the thousand kisses from Sigrid

73. Who knows the other better? Why is this?

84. Have they ever almost lost one another? How does it effect their relationship?

Yeah. Multiple times really but the two big ones were when Sigrid got like. Her life drained by Bhaal and when Karlach's engine almost did her in. It didn't change their relationship directly maybe, but they're both subconciously extremely protective of one another especially when the other is sick.
