A loud Crack! and Jan found himself collapsing head first onto Lila's pillow. His head throbbed and the familiar metallic sting of blood rang in his throat.

As a fruit expert, let me introduce you to the fruits u don't know (I skip those I haven't tasted either)

Persimmon: very juicy when ripe, gets almost glassy-orange, it looks cool. Imagine a sweet ripe cantaloupe with a hint of peach. I recommend

Gooseberry: not for everyone, have to be 100% ripe, sour like grapes

Black currant: tangy, better in Jam form or baked goods

White and red currant: they taste the same, the white is a bit sweeter. I love them cause I'm a sucker for sour things, so u could vibe with those if you like lemon

Mangosteen ain't worth it. The shell is an asshole to peel

Litchi on the other hand has a difficult peel too, but the inside is like having a refreshing drink at the water park. I don't get them here often tho.

Pomelo is literally bland lemon. I like it but eh

Jackfruit is rare here too, I had it once! Imagine tasting a banana and pineapple at the same time + juicy. Pretty good imo. The fruit itself is fucking huge tho lmao

Passion fruit is best in smoothies/ice cream. Tiny fruit with only a few teaspoons of (good sour) seeds to taste

Sour cherry is nice, literally taste like cherry. Delicious in chocolate cake!

Plums are goooooood, even better in baked goods. Imagine the texture of a nectarine but not that sweet. Fun fact: we make a paste with them, it's a thing. U put it in pastries >>>>>>

MULBERRIES ARE HEAVEN. THEY TASTE LIKE RASPBERRIES BUT *BETTER*
