This is SUPER late, I know, but last year I participated in the @sterekcollabang (2025 Collabang coming soon! Yay!) with the wonderful @noxnthea and I never posted about it here. Which is obviously something that needs to be rectified!

So… I already have like 70 Sterek fic tabs open on my phone (there’s so many good authors in this fandom it’s not my fault!) but I was thinking that despite some fantastic tumblr posts about it I don’t think I’ve actually read a necromancer!Stiles fic.

I went through your fabulous tag page but I didn’t see one so hopefully I didn’t miss it. If you or your loverly followers have any recs I sure would appreciate it!

In the three months since Derek left the NYPD and joined the FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Unit, he’s gotten used to a lot of things: he’s learned to deal with seeing Peter every day, he knows how to hide his enhanced senses on the job, and he doesn’t mind the late nights and early mornings.

One thing he’s still not used to, however, is Stiles Stilinski.

The fence’s wrought-iron spears dig into his calf a bit as he settles, clearly caught off guard.

“Uh,” he says lamely, his face pale in the scant moonlight. “Shit.”

Derek guards an abandoned cemetery. Stiles is the necromancer trying to break in.

Ooooh boy lessee.

1. A Muscle the Size of Your Fist. This story is basically all the different things that made me who I am spilled onto paper and I just think it’s neat. I’m so proud of it, in fact, that I’ve let a couple irl people read (an edited smut-free version of) it.

2. If It’s A Highway. I think this contains some of the best writing I’ve ever done.

3. Sweet Home Was Home. There are parts of this I’d rewrite if I could, but I really love it overall, especially the ending. It’s a warm cozy hug and also a therapy session of a fic.

4. The One Where Clint Goes to Preschool. Love all the marshmallows to death but this one in particular is near and dear to my heart; I think this was both @noxnthea and I writing to our strengths. It’s funny as fuck but also heartfelt/soft.

5. The List. Last item was difficult to choose but this one is very different from what I usually do, so. Yeah. Pure sweetness, but also, this is like the writing equivalent of minimalism, which does not come naturally to me.
