Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

I try my best to respond to comments, but sometimes I’ll read and forget or I’ll get overwhelmed because I try to write just as good of a response and I end up shutting down and not responding at all 😅. But usually I still try my best to reply, because I love responding to comments 😁!

What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?

Dandelion Wishes. It was always going to be angsty, but it still hurt to write 😭!

What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending?

Hmm…I guess “Children of the Future” 🤔? Because at the end, even though it’s kind of bittersweet, it’s epilogue shows just how happy things become for everyone in the end!

Do you write crossovers?

Hmm…I would say so 🤔! I currently have a Pacific Rim crossover with friends, and at one point in time I had considered a JJK and Black Clover crossover, but that idea went out the window after a while 😂! I tend to be iffy with crossovers, but I’ve been enjoying the ones I have!

Have you ever received hate on a fic?

Yes, unfortunately. Tho, I would class it more as…dissapointment? Except for one comment 🤔. The most “disappointed comments” i got were on “Children of the Future” and were about me shipping Yuno with an OC instead of Mimosa (mind you: I have COTF tagged as “Yuno/Original Female Character”). But the one “hate/disappointed” comment I got that was *not* about shipping was that COTF is repetitive, that they kept coming back to my story and dropping it at the same point, and that I should have just made it a Yamichar fic instead of including other ships.

Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

I do write smut, but not very much 😅! I tend to write more steamy/fade to black these days because my smut muses are napping. But when I write smut I tend to either write Vanilla, or I’ll write light kinky fics like “Light Bondage, Breeding kink, etc”!

But nowadays I just write steamy kissing scenes where they may or may not undress before fading to black 😂!

Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Kind of? It was, again, Children of the Future 😅. Basically, an anon read COTF, liked the plot, decided to rip off the entire first chapter with only a couple of changes (the biggest one was removing Charlotte and replacing her with a Reader Insert), and then they decided to send it to a mutual of mine as a writing request.

Luckily my mutual recognized it and tagged me and didn’t write it.

Have you ever co-written a fic before?

I’ve co-written many fics! I have quite a few with @thoughtfullyrainynightmare (and we’re even working on another one!) and I’m currently writing a fic with the lovely @loosesodamarble !

What’s your all-time favorite ship?

My all-time favorite ship is actually Zerith (Zack x Aerith) from Final Fantasy Vii 😁! They’re just so cute and so tragic 😭, like, they deserve a happy ending. They sold flowers together, went out on dates, she wrote him 89 letters over four years even though he never responded to them (he was being held captive and had no idea), and he literally traveled half way around the world with his comatose friend to get back home to her 😭!

i’m cutting myself off because I could talk about them for hours 😂! But they’re my all-time favorite ship, and have been for about 16 years now!

What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

Hnngh, I intend on finishing all my WIPs that I have, even if it takes me forever! But rn…it kind of looks like my Gods!AU, because chapter 2 has been half written for over a year and I haven’t touched it at all…also A Fractured Diamond, which I’ve been working on for nearly 4 years now…but I 100% intent on finishing that! I’m just stuck on what to do with the 6 month skip between arcs…

What are your writing strengths?

Hmm…I guess dialogue and inner monologues? I tend to do them a lot and it’s where I feel most comfortable with my writing 😂!

What are your writing weaknesses?

Actions scenes and trying to describe places. Usually I can “see” what’s happening in my head like a movie that’s playing, but trying to write that all out and have it make sense is rather difficult for me 😅.

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

Hmm…I’ve only done it a couple of times, because the only other langauge I *kind of* know is Korean and a bit of Spanish. Usually if I include it in a fic I do my best to look up as many different dictionaries and translator tools as I can find to make sure the sentence means what I think it means!

What’s a fandom/ship you haven’t written for yet but want to?

I really want to write for Zack x Aerith someday…but tbh I’m way to scared of that fandom, and I’m scared I’ll mess up their characters. So I probably never will, but who knows? Right now, I’ll probably just stay here in Black Clover because I really love it here with my friends 🥰!

Of course. It might take me forever (my inbox is staring at me dead in the eyes), but I will respond. It means the world to me and if anyone makes the effort, they deserve a response. Easy.

What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?

I need happy endings with my angst so... yeah. I think... Yesterday I died (tomorrow's bleeding) is quite sad.

What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending?

I guess the SAU has the happiest ending. Everything And More's last chapter is literally sunshine and calmness which, yk, is needed after the whole thing.

Do you write crossovers?

I've just gotten into it! I didn't see the hype before but um that was because I never tried to mash together the right verses I think. The Arkham Horror x Black Clover crossover is very dear to me.

Have you ever received hate on a fic?

*touching wood* Nope.

Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

I've written steamy but never full smut. Well, I've written bits. But they're unpublished and I don't think I ever will publish them soooo yeah.

Just like crossovers, I'm just getting into it. And just like crossovers, I'm absolutely loving it.

@kalolasfantasyworld knows. We've written that Olympics Swimming one, Silver Scorching Interdimensional Slash: the Magical Medley Relay of Doom, and we're writing the most wonderful Formula for a Crush.

All time favorite... royai probably.

it's just the angst... it's just the sillies... it's just the war criminals... there's a dog... they're both so stupid... i love them...

What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

fhjfhds all of them. If I start a wip it's that I want to see it finished (because I want to read it). Sadly, I often don't have the motivation to. The wip list is ever growing.

What are your writing strengths?

Dialogue and internal monologues, I think.

What are your writing weaknesses?

Besides everything syntax and grammar-related because what even is English, I'd say description, especially of action scenes. It takes me forever to even dare put down a few words and I always feel like I'm describing like a 7yo would (no shade to 7yo but surely with 20 more years on this planet I should be able to do better).

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

I did it in Formula for a Crush for Vanessa and Helena because Helena typically does it so it felt normal to As long as it's one word or one expression I don't really mind. (my Italian is non-existent and my Spanish is uhhh not good so, there's that.).

In my own work, I prefer to keep it in English and italicize. Less risk to completely fumble a whole language.

(I just realized that Zora doesn't even utter one word in French in FFAC and I'm French [I dare think I can speak and write the language relatively well]. so it's less down to messing up a language than personal preferences in writing ig..? I never really thought about it.)

What’s a fandom/ship you haven’t written for yet but want to?

Nothing comes to mind. Rarepair Week was a great occasion to tick some of these boxes too.

What’s your favorite fic you’ve written?

I've had this question ten thousand times and I think I reply differently every time dhjfdjskj. It's a tough one.

Right now I'm having a lot of fun with Formula for a Crush (nah, you can't tell with how much I'm talking about it).

what even is football anyway will always be very dear to me and I'll probably say it's this one.

Blue Hours (and its sequel, I might even like the sequel more simply for the rant about the dishes) is special because I loved the concept and I experienced a bit with the narration.

Thicker Than Blood because it's a longer one and it was a really non-pressure kind of fic (I expected no one to read it so I really had fun)

Yesterday I died (tomorrow's bleeding) and posing questions to a silent universe (my very thoughts a curse) for some nice Mia angst.

Lost in a storm, It’s a big office, chief, for some nice Phoenix angst.

Tell Me About Cruelty means a lot to me.

(you might realize: I cannot choose. I'm looking at the 145 fics and I'm like. they're all special to me in some way. even those I wish I could erase from the face of the earth I'm like. I like that line, that scene, that hug. it's terrible and it's wonderful.)

isn't it common sense to be uncomfy with adult x minor ships? 😭 it's not just an opinion because in what world or country think that, for example, a 14 year old and 18 year is ok? they're in different stages in life, what do they have in common?

"However, there have been instances where people who have shipped those two with younger characters have been harassed. There have been people who have shamed those shippers. It doesn’t just go for shipping third years with first years."

while yes, i understand that harassing them is wrong, they need to be informed that their ships are questionable and wrong. and if they dont like what they hear, welp, some people dont take it well 🚶‍♀️

Hi anon! I thank you for the honesty in the ask. It’s well appreciated!!

First of all, the whole point of what I said was to point out the hypocrisy of those people who say “first years x third years shouldn’t be shipped together” but then pair their 16-year old first year OC/sona to a third year.

Secondly, I understand being uncomfortable with shipping adults and minors. In real life, shipping real people in general is a big no-no, as it really hurts the people involved in the ship. But I want to take this time to respond to your concerns and share my views on the topic, not because I want to argue with you, but because I think this is an important discussion that needs to be brought up. You’re free to disagree with me even after you read through this.

I’ll begin by clarifying: For the whole people over 20 ship themselves with the characters, I think I should rephrase that because that was not worded well and I’m sorry about that. 😅💀 When I said that, I meant that people would create self-inserts of themselves or OCs as students in NRC to be with the other students. It’s not older people preying on minors irl >_>

That would be them exploring the world of Twisted Wonderland. What sort of interactions can they have with the characters? How would this character react to their sona or OC, etc? And this is okay.

In fiction, there’s no real harm done to anyone because the people in the ship are just pixels. Sure, you can come at me and say, “But that’s going to make you think that it’s okay to be lewd to minors, and it’s going to validate p*dos! Fiction does affect reality!” But in truth, it is on the responsibility of the individual to distinguish what is fiction and what is reality. It’s the individual who decides to have the kinds of mindsets that they have. Take the classic violence in movies example: people can watch and enjoy movies that have violence and gore in them and still speak up against actual violence done to real people in real life.

Think about all the novels that are on the shelf, the movies being sold, the shows on Netflix. Most of the stories are written by adults. They could be stories depicting violence, stories depicting high school life, so on and so forth. There are going to be stories that would depict “bad things” to you. Does that mean that those writers advocate for violence or being naughty towards kids? No. Fiction is always used to express and share something. Share a story, share a lesson, share something that is part of human life, share the fantasies in people’s heads. Of course, it’s important to note that we should not glorify things that are immoral. Like, we’re not going to say yes to murder because that’s a no-no. But glorifying is different from sharing or expressing.

Fiction isn’t going to just make people p*dos or murderers. If they have that mindset of “oh it’s okay to kill people” or “oh it’s ok to sexualize minors”, that’s already a mindset that they possess, not something that fiction caused. If people are going to copy the fictional thing into their actual lives, then either they are that impressionable or there is something wrong with the way they think. If able to, it’s recommended that they seek professional help.

I think it’s important to say here that just because 18 is the legal age, that does not mean you now have to be an adult, be a caretaker of a bunch of 17 year olds and younger, pay your bills, do important adult things like finding the best laundry machine. No, if anything, having the mindset that “oh an 18 year old shouldn’t get together with a 16 year old even in fiction” can feed into the bigger mindset that you now have to be an adult who can’t have fun because you’re putting this barrier between being a child and being an adult.

Also, I don’t know if 14 year olds are middle school age or high school in some countries, but here in the Philippines, 14 and 18 year olds are in high school (Grade 8 and Grade 12 respectively). And people in high school get into lots of things. 😂 Like one time, there was an incident in my high school where two highschoolers of those ages were making out in school. Not to say that I condone making out in school, I’m just sharing this because stuff like this happens in real life, and we have to accept that things that we don’t agree with do actually happen. And while in real life, there would be consequences, at least in fiction, people can safely explore these types of topics without any repercussions.

About telling people that their ships are “questionable and wrong”, pretty much most of what I said in the above is already a reply to that. But I’ll be frank with you. That in itself is already a form of harassment. Think: you’re going up to a stranger just to tell them that them shipping these two characters is wrong. It’s rude, and people need to be aware of that.

Reminding people to not ship actual people is okay because countless people who have been shipped have voiced out that they have been harmed by it, and we need to respect that. And I say remind because you shouldn’t just go “oi you’re being gross by shipping these two people, gtfo” because that’s rude. But to tell people not to ship two characters just because it’s “wrong or questionable” in your eyes can be harassment, especially if you call them disgusting or spread word that they are disgusting people for supporting the ships you disapprove of. To add, people may have their reasons for diving into such ships. Maybe they use those ships as a way to cope with or express something that they went through in their life, or they use those ships as a way to explore the thought processes of these characters in such a situation. We can’t judge why people ship those ships, and as long as no one is hurt over what they do, just ignore those people if you don’t like what they do.

I hope this clears up confusion. 😅 I don’t know if I ever quelled any fears, but this is my point of view on things, and I hope you understand. I respect your opinion on the matter, and I’m glad you didn’t attack me for what I wrote. You’re free to disagree with me, even send me an ask in reply, but I won’t change my stance on this topic.

OC Creators Spotlight Intro:

Uh, hi! 👋 I'm Mouse. Been writing for almost a year now, so I guess I should stop saying I'm 'new' to all this. I'm just clueless, with a goldfish brain, and a lack of filter sometimes. 😂😅😬

I write for a tiny fandom (the newest '20 Stand miniseries). I started writing because there was only a small number of us putting out content for it, and pretty much slim to nothing for my fav. 😔 Create the material you wish to see, right? (Disclaimer: Canon is 18+ material, so my writing follows suit.) I started with an single OC insert (Hayden) for a following closely to canon storyline, but I'm now writing with an "original" setting. Many OC's with canon characters dragged along for the ride. (They won't leave my brain... 😒🤦‍♀️)

I think there's only a handful of people that actually follow me specifically because of this crazy small fandom though - I geek out and reblog nonsense about many other fandoms, and I'm in full support of any and all creative endeavors into the community. ❤️

As for being here - I just like babbling about Blorbos with people. I pop out of my teapot when I have random spurts of free time (not always frequent), and try to escape reality with fandoms. But that's why most of us are here, right? Yeah? Yeah? Bueller? 😅 (Did I just age myself? Probably.)

If you want a positive enabler or sounding board for OC ideas or just somebody to bullshit with, I'm probably your people. I guess that's about all I have to say... 😁🤷‍♀️❤️

Saudade chapter 4 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨 holy shit. I still stand by what i said, this should be a NOVEL! Absolutely in LOVE. I reread chapter 3 after I took my philosophy quiz to refresh my mind lol. Can’t wait for the next update!!

I finally read The Misadventures List and um ma’am, wow. It’s like it was made for me. No joke, my bias is Jimin, I was born and raised on the Big Island of Hawaii AND my first job straight out of high school was at a convenience store. It was way too easy to self insert for this one 🫣

2) How many WIPs do you have?

Gawd... 41.. I'm not even kidding 😅

3) Do you take requests, write original fics, or both?

Both. I have some original work here, but I always love to get a request for somwthing.

4) If you have requests how many do you actually have?

I have 16 in my inbox right now for my "300 follower celebration" 😁

5) How many fandoms do you write for?

A lot.. Triple Frontier, The Mandalorian, The Great Wall, The Mentalist, The Killing, Suicide Squad, Daredevil, Moon Knight. Soon there'll be Hanna (Erik Heller) and Peacemaker (Vigilante).

On a side blog I've written for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Warcraft... And some werewolf and minotaur stuff. Might as well let the cat out of the bag 😂

6) Are there any fandoms you used to write for?

Yeah, but nothing published. They are just laying on my laptop. I just recently started sharing my stuff.

7) Do you write for ships, reader inserts, or OC?

So far I've only done reader inserts and OC's 😊

I feel like Stephen Holder is a little niche. Not a lot of us writing for him 😅

Romance... Which is funny since I'm not really romantic 😅

I've recently begun enjoy reading angst/whump (thanks to @a-reader-and-a-writer ), but I don't really write it. Done it twice, but don't think I'm that good at it 😅

14) Any characters/fandoms you want to write for that are never requested?

I'd love to write for Erik Heller (Hanna), Pete Koslow (The Informer), Will Miller (Triple Frontier) and Zach Wellison (Brothers and Sisters). Hell, I'd even love writing for Swaino (Small Engine Repair) and Frank Castle (Punisher). Maybe even some Matthias Schoenaerts characters. But will I be good at it? I don't know 😂

15) How long have you been writing fanfiction?

No, I first discovered fanfiction when searching for something about Hawkeye... And I've been here ever since 😆

Drabble - 100 to 1K and One-Shots and fics - above 1k?

Fluff and smut. Mostly fluff 💜

Gonna steal my answer from @darlingshane , cause I can't say it better myself: "writers getting rude anons for no reason other than intimidating nice people into stop writing. And people demanding content then not interacting with said fics and have them flop"

Oh, and sorry... But I hate the term "poor little meow meow"... Makes my skin crawl..

Whenever I have an idea or have the time.

23) Do you listen to music or ambiance/noise to write, or do you need total silence?

I have music in my ears like 80% of my waking hours. Can't stand silence.

24) Do you outline your fics at all before writing?

Yes. Almost to much. You should seriously see my notebook 😆

25) Do you post your writing as soon as you finish it, or do you schedule it to come out at a specific time/day?

Depends. Most times I publish as soon as I'm done or when a beta reader return it. But series I try to schedule a little 😅

~Confession Time~

So...Sunny and I got impatient and we were going to wait until the dubbed version of Haikyuu S4 to come out and watch it then. BUT due to COVID no one is English dubbing 😭 SO we made a Crunchyroll account and decided to suck it up and watch the english subbed.

NEEDLESS TO SAY I never really understood why everyone was so enthralled with the Miya Twins. Since I haven't read the Manga and hadn't seen S4 prior. SO after watching a couple episodes and seeing Atsumu. I uh. I can get behind this now 🙈 I think its cuz he has the same eyes as Shima from B.E. soooo yeah. Atsumu animated is 10/10.

I still read non-character fics! I love the new chapter of V (24) the way you describe Bean’s mannerisms and mando’s drawl is great. I can’t wait to see the aftermath of the Toro incident and hopefully the comfort and support they both have and give each other. I like how their relationship feels real and is progressing naturally. I think there’s nothing wrong with non reader insert fics- to me it’s just like a book 😁 Sometimes the character won’t look like you or be like you or maybe they are taller, or shorter, are blonde, or don’t have curly hair— it’s okay. Content doesn’t always have to be specifically catered to you and if you only want reader insert fics there are plenty. There’s nothing wrong with a preference but as a creator you should follow what is most fulfilling to you, and sometimes that might not be as successful by the measurement of notes or reblogs but if it is more fulfilling to you then that success that matters. I don’t know if any of this made sense sorry! Basically I’ll stick around no matter what you want to do and I’m sure there are others who will too. 💛🌿

Also, thank you so much for your words! I think that no matter what, it's impossible to truly make a "Reader", since every writer let's something of themselves flow into the character. I like to think of Readers as faceless and nameless OCs because I love seeing the little differences and ways they react even though they're supposed to be a blank slate. And it's the morphing and warping of that slate that makes fics so compelling! But even while I still love the Reader Insert format of storytelling, I have found that I do not find as much joy in it as I did a few months ago.

It definitely is less successful and interaction has dropped significantly since I only post Ven now, but at the same time, I'm more at 'peace' if it makes sense? I do have more fun while writing, even knowing that only like, 6 people are reading it lmaooo
