Around The World: Too Hot To Handle!

Most people have heard of Too Hot To Handle, and it is probably one of those “you love it” or “you hate it”. I can hear my partner’s voice in my head saying “junk food TV”. So bad but its good like junk food. 

This is a better show than you might think. I like the gist of it all, and really this trend in society that less people have monogamous relationships or even marriage and its more casual, or open like poly-plays into so many people avoiding their feelings as a generation. But can you believe all the places around the world it has gotten to? 

Too Hot To Handle (US): 

There are 4 seasons, currently. First season was in 2020.  I believe there is another season coming up in the US. This would lead me to believe that it is strongest in the US, but I hope it gains some traction elsewhere. 

Too Hot To Handle (Latino): 

From 2021. Man, the people from anywhere else in the world? Mmm. Only one season so far, but a very spicy season. 

Too Hot To Handle (Brazil): 

From 2022, with 2 seasons. Brazil, another part of the spanish region but each region has it’s own characteristics that seeps into its people. I believe there is a couple from the first season still together too! 

Too Hot To Handle (Germany):

One season, the most current one as of 2023. If you follow them on IG, you would know that one of the couples has had a kid since filming! Congrats to them! But this season has beat some of the records set in the shows 3 years of existing...how...

Honestly, I am shocked that there is still able to be a surprise element to this show. Like seriously, how many times can you come up with a cover show and get people to sign up for it? Like by the time it appears in a city it has been in-or even a new one-how would there not be people like...”So who thinks this is really too hot to handle?” Also, is it just me, or would you totally watch any of the “cover up” shows THTH comes up with to trick young sex addicts? Have you seen this show? Would you be on it?

Twitter is about to be banned in Brazil, why?

Have you seen the news about Twitter (now X, but I refuse to call it that) being banned in Brazil? Have you been wondering why that is? I’m Brazilian, and here I am to explain things to you.

You’ve likely noticed that since Elon Musk took over the social media network, hate speech on the platform has skyrocketed. White supremacist and Neo-Nazi groups have been using Twitter to disseminate racist propaganda and hate speech. And although the United States might not be doing anything about this, other countries are not so indulgent. Brazil being one of them.

Racism and incitement of hate (including speech) are crimes in Brazil. So is political disinformation, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, and ableism. Hate speech of any kind is a CRIME in Brazil.

The Brazilian Supreme Court ordered Elon Musk to do something about the political fake news and hate speech on his platform, and Elon responded by shutting down all offices in Brazil.

The Brazilian Supreme Court (STF) then ordered Elon Musk to appoint a legal representative in Brazil, as NO BUSINESS can operate in the country without a legal representative that can be held responsible to crimes and answer to them in a court of law. The STF gave Elon 24 hours to appoint this legal representative, and now that the deadline has passed and Elon has not complied, it seems that Twitter will be shut down in Brazil.

TL;DR: Elon is salty that he’s not above Brazilian law.

Brazil recalls its ambassador to Israel

The nearly eight-month-old conflict has soured Israel's diplomatic ties with several nations, including Brazil, whose President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva in February accused the country's government of genocide. Worried about requesting a card because you don’t live in the US?

PHSI mails to any address provided, whether domestic or foreign! However, please wait patiently for your card, due to the current global rate of shipping.

Worried that you can’t give $4 to cover the cost of your card or someone else’s?

Requesting a card from PHSI has been and will always be FREE! However, giving $4 to the initiative helps me pay for the printing service and postage to mail physical cards. I gratefully appreciate any contributions received, even if it’s just a comment saying thanks!

Worried because you don’t know how to support the artist of the card you received?

The artist’s social media is listed on the back of every card featuring their artwork. Look them up, commission them, reblog their art, and support them however you can!

Worried because you haven’t received your card yet?

Double check your email inbox and junk folders. I send everyone an email that either confirms your Holiday Card has shipped or includes your eCard! Physical cards take 1-2 weeks to arrive. If your physical card fails to show up after the first week of January, please reach out to me and I’ll send you a replacement eCard!

Worried because you received your card and don’t know what to do now?

Make a post about it! Include pictures, videos, or anything you’d like, and tag me in the post (@24-7-testing) so I can reblog it! If you don’t want to show your card off, that’s ok too!
