Someone called wolf a long time ago on Stancy being a misogynistic ship, and it hasn't been able to escape the stink of that, which is sad that it's supposedly more misogynistic than the ship where a guy took non-consensual pictures of the girl, called her a slut for sleeping with Steve, and said that she'd end up being miserable like her parents. There's more evidence that Jancy is, but no one wants to admit that because the actors are together. Not to mention, he sat there while his girlfriend was being bullied and harassed by older men, then got mad at her when she was rightfully upset. That was probably an unpaid internship. They weren't getting paid enough, perhaps even at all for Jonathan to help Joyce out with the bills. It wasn't worth the pain that Nancy was going through. And I'm not saying that he had to stand up for her, but Nancy was looking for some sympathy and comfort. While Steve didn't agree with Nancy about facing the lab, he obviously said the wrong thing about pretending, he did comfort her. . .and he absolutely would have been on Nancy's side on this because his dad's a cheating asshole, his mom's respectable, and he used her as a reference for Family Video. . .Steve probably sees a lot of misogyny at home. I like to think he's a total mama's boy. Steve owned up to mistakes, apologized, and ended up stepping up for Nancy while Jonathan apologized once, then took it back, then never apologized again. There's a lot of resentment between Nancy and Jonathan because Jonathan has jealousy issues concerning the fact that Nancy and Steve both had it easier than he did. So, if anyone needs to be single for a while. . .it's Jonathan. Natalia even said it herself. They love each other, but they also hate each other, and that's a problem, especially considering how they started. It's frustrating to see people put Jancy's problem onto Stancy when they know there's nothing wrong with Stancy, other than the real truth, is that it's too boring for them which is exactly what they need after everything they went through. . .boring, healthy relationships. Not to say that Jancy couldn't work on their problems, but I think they'd need to be apart for that to happen because I do think there is some guilt there, too, with how they started out. Nancy was vulnerable, and her relationship with Steve was barely cold. . .they both didn't think it through. Nancy should be forgiven for that, though, because, like I said, she was vulnerable. There's way more evidence that Jancy is misogynistic rather than Stancy. The truth is people prefer problematic relationships over long-term healthy ones because if Steve wanted to hold Nancy back, then why didn't he fight for her back in s2? Why did he back off and say it was okay? Why did he put it all on himself and not on her? Because if he did want to hold her back, he would have been mad at her. He let her go, and she started coming back to him. I do think both ships are valid. They both have weight, but Jancy has WAY more problems because you can say that everything that Nancy and Steve did together was consensual, but you literally CAN'T say that with Jonathan and the pictures he took. It's canon. He did that. That's one of the problems they have, that's one of the problems that they have. He didn't just take a picture of Nancy when she was vulnerable but of Barb when she was vulnerable, too, and Jonathan was the last person to see her alive. There has to be a little resentment on Nancy's part for that.

i have a few points that i'd like to add, if i may on stancy. i may get some hate, but i really don't care, lol.
for me, i like jancy better than stancy because jonathan doesn't put up with her shit, lol. steve did and gave in a lot to her.
buckle up, andy and her beautiful humans. we got a lot to cover, lol.
she tried to manipulate him into telling the feds (aside from hop) about the lab and the upside. she was wanting to risk EVERYONE'S LIVES and expose something they hardly knew about. (s2e2)
she tried to gaslight(?) steve the night after she drunkenly broke up with him by trying to justify the fact that she was drunk. baby, no. a drunk persons words are a sober person's thoughts. (s2e2)
"it wasn't like that!" then what was it like? because to stevie boy, it looked like you were hooking up with the eldest byers kid. (s1e6)
she kept steve in the dark instead of trying to explain what was going on when all he wanted to do was help. (s1e4-7?)
also, they weren't together at this point in season 3, but when steve was asking about the Mind Flayer, she got aggravated because he was just trying to understand what the heck was going on 'cause he and robin were drugged while dealing with the russians with dustin and erica. (s3e8)
again, they weren't together in s4vol2, BUT steve didn't want to go back into the upside down 'cause, ya'know, he almost died and she saw that.. again, wanting to risk lives. i get her reasoning for wanting to, though, but she has that act now, think later type of thinking when it comes to shit like that. (s4vol2, e8)
also, that whole "you've always been there" i think was complete bs. he's probably had that dream since he was a kid, but said that he always pictured nancy there because she was sitting right there next to him. he may have pictured her in his dream when they were together and that's where that came from, but i kind of don't buy it.. sorry, lol. (s4vol2, e9)
i honestly could sit here and explain all the reasons why i don't like stancy (or nancy in certain episodes), but then we'll be here all freaking day, lol.
i feel like if the stancy fans get their wishes, it'll be a generic happy ending we see a lot of the end of tv shows. (or we'll see his dream come to light, but i think i saw somewhere that steve's story won't be over after s5 ends.)
welcome to my tedtalk. -jess <33
AAAAAAAHHHH
PREACH!!!!! THANK YOU!!!! HOPE THIS REACHES THE RIGHT PEOPLE…
I absolutely agree with everything you said, I could add so much too but yeah, we’d be here all day
If stancy fans get their wishes, and we get the classic stupid happy ending then I’ll just be disappointed af. I’m sick of those cliche happy endings, they’re so boring and old, and it doesn’t match the vibes of the show at all.
Steve still being in love with someone who only ever hurt him and then his whole confession speech and his sudden obsession with her again is the dumbest thing ever, and it makes no sense at all, especially after season 3!

Jancy is my home alright? No question about it, but STANCY OH STANCY, not exaggerating it, not even kidding but the emotions I feel towards them cannot be described by words at all! All that I can say is they're my guilty pleasure, and I'd love them even if I tried not to, and even if I tried to hate them (I'm talking about the couple, not the individuals just to be clear, I'll forever love Steve and I'll forever love Nancy from the bottomest core of my heart).
And to be honest I did, I did try to dislike them together, because I used to think in order to love Jancy I needed to hate Stancy, or rather because subconsciously I felt like I was choosing Jonathan over Steve and I never wanna compare them, I love them both differently, but I had a small epiphany, which is I don't think characters define by their romantic relationships, and I think that sense somehow helped me to understand that I love both the ships, even though for me, Jancy is slightly on top.
But here's the twist, which is why I don't know if I ever liked stancy during stancy. Well during the period, when stancy was actually a thing, when Steve and Nancy were in a relationship.
Now don't get me wrong, Steve loved, in fact loves Nancy more than anyone and anything (Robin and Dustin are exceptions), and honestly I think he loves her more than Jonathan does, he always gave her the princess treatment that most girls ask for, he was the "perfect boyfriend" and yes duh, Nancy loved him a lot too, but her life got so crumbled up before she could even realize that he loved her so much, that he indeed was the perfect boyfriend, If not to anyone else than at least to her.
To her, barb died because of her, because she slept with a boy and left her alone, and even if she doesn't want to she'd subconsciously blame Steve too eventually, right? And despite Steve being that perfect boyfriend, he wouldn't be able to understand her fully, not as much as Jonathan did, because they were going through the same thing at the same time, and of course, the shared trauma, as a bald eagle once said.
Now here comes the point, when Nancy finally got to "bury" Barb, and her life finally came to an equilibrium, well not really, things were never really balanced she just learnt to deal with it, so yeah when she finally learnt to deal with it and befriended Steve again, a lot of things became crystal clear to her which were once blurred with trauma and sadness, to sum it all up, she finally got to understand how amazing of a person Steve really is and how much he looks out, loves and cares for the people he cares about and oh- who's topping the list of all the people he cares about? Yeah right that's her!
And this is the exact reason why season 4 stancy means the world to me, the chemistry is equal from both sides, and to be honest it's kinda hilarious to me, because I didn't like stancy when stancy but I liked stancy when they weren't a thing, and it's not a joke, and yes I know I'm insane and irrational and out of touch but can you save your lecture because I really don't give a shit right now I just- I need to tell you a little something more, about Mileven! Which is, this whole thing that I wrote is kinda familiar to a way I view Mileven because to me it's kinda hilarious too that Mike can't say or even write "I love you" to his girlfriend, but if they break up, he can finally say "I love you" to his ex girlfriend because whether they're in a relationship or not, they're soulmates and absolute best friends. Period!

What Polyamory Does For The It Fandom VS In The St Fandom.
These are some brain worms I've had for a while and I've decided to share, regardless if it makes some people mad. Although that is truly not the intent of this post. Anyways. If you haven't been in the It fandom and only have stayed in the St fandom this post may not make sense but I do encourage you to read it.
I joined the It fandom in 2017. I'm one of those few people who were in the It fandom first before moving over to also join the St fandom in late late 2017/early 2018. I had a blog for consuming content but I didn't start making content until 2020 for the It fandom and more recently and regularly for the St fandom. Anywho what I'm trying to say is that I've seen a lot.
I loved many ships in the It fandom and one of the main ships is Poly Losers Club. This is the first fandom I've seen where a poly ship was one of the more popular ones. Even if someone didn't ship all the Losers, throuple and quatrouples (is that how you say it?) have always been popular in this fandom.
Because it is almost unanimously agreed across the fandom, that whether platonically or romantically, all the Losers love each other. Even the most die hard of reddie shippers, the fandom's most popular ship, can often agree on certain fanon headcannons, Stan and Richie practiced their first kiss on each other, Eddie's first crush was on poor oblivious Bill. And that comes back to the agreement that all the Losers love each other. Ships in this fandom have never had an issue coexisting. If someone shipped something different from someone it was always more like "oh that's not my favorite but I definitely see where you're coming from'" OR they're like "yeah no they're in love too," Hardly ever any belittling or any superiority complexes.
That's what makes being in this fandom fun and easy.
Poly Losers even often features a gay man and a women and I've read many beautiful fics where this is explained as they're more best friends than lovers but Eddie doesn't love Bev any less because she's a woman. This fandom allows Eddie and Bev to have an amazing and emotionally intimate relationship because I feel like this fandom does understand, for the most part, that platonic love is just as important as romantic love.
Now on to the St fandom. There are some poly party shippers out there but they are far and few. And there is SO MUCH shipping discourse. Yes I could talk about Mileven and Byler but come on, it goes beyond that. It's with Jany and Stancy, Ronance and Rockie. Elmax and Lumax, and Steddie and Stonathan. Just about every ship you think of there is an alternate ship that people will fight for. They will belittle you for shipping something they don't, and insist that your ship is nothing but platonic. That,,,that just doesn't happen in the It fandom. You know the joke, "All the Losers had a crush on Bill at one point," I think that in itself says a lot. Bill, the arguably least liked character, (my poor bb), has the joke that all the losers had a crush on him at one point.
I'm getting off track. Anyways I'm not saying that shipping everyone together in a poly sense would fix everything with these shipping wars but i do believe why there was never any shipping wars in the It fandom was because of Poly Losers. Also when I talk about poly in St I mean it like Poly Party and Poly teenage crew. Not together, I hate that I have to clarify that.
In the St fandom, it's just not as universally agreed that everyone loves each other, even in the basic platonic sense. All anyone seems to care about in the St fandom is romantic love. A lot of shippers want to be right, they want to prove that their ship will be cannon which just,,,sucks the fun right out fandom spaces.
Canon, fanon, why can't people just make cute fan art and talk in babbles about thoughts they have on a ship. Why do you have to be right about what's going to be the canon ship? Why do certain people feel the need to put down and even to the extent as far as bullying people who ship something different? I've never seen a fandom so focused on 'canon pairings' like the st fandom. (Side note I was never in the sherlock and supernatural fandoms, I knew to mention this)
The party, like the losers, are friends who have been through turmoil that have bound them together for a lifetime. I don't care what pairing you give me from st, whether it be a platonic or a romantic one, I will tell you that those characters deeply care for each other.
Side note: it's worth a mention that the Duffer brothers originally wanted to film the It remake and when they didn't get it, we got Stranger Things. It can be argued that the Party is based off the Losers club so you know what that means? THEY ALL LOVE EACH OTHER. Take it as platonic or romantic idc.
Again, I don't think that poly party is the answer to ending the shipping wars. I do think however that if people could remember how much the party members mean to each other, that that could make less tiring fandom spaces.
Okay I'm done. I just thought this was an interesting point on how it's been like in the It fandom vs the St fandom.
Wait I was doing tags and I forgot to mention that there are few people who ship Elumax and Stoncy, two throuples and kudos to them. They're just worth a mention, I didn't forget about ya'll

Rating whatever ST ships I can think of bc it's night (post lemon) and I'm bored
Lumax- 10/10 so poetic and beautiful the show doesn't do them justice which is SAYING A LOT romo lumax and platonic lumax have my heart
Elmax- the first ST ship I started shipping before joining fandom! 10/10 incredible beautiful drop dead gorgeous romo and platonic elmax are perfect
Hopclair- 10/10 I may currently be running on a hopclair ANGST high, but as I've said and will not hesitate to repeat, these two NEED to team up and NEED more screentime together! Romo, platonic, and queerplatonic hopclair love in my brain
Henclair- recently found appreciation for them upon season two rewatch and reflecting join season two, cute enough for a maybe 6/10 as romo 15/10 platonic
Henderhop- I just can't picture it 0/10
Morallysus- idrk seems kinda morally sus to me :/ -10/10
Elmike 8/10 platonic and I will not elaborate
Byler- objectively 10/10 but they are not who I'm thinking about when I'm actually watching- that's when my elmax and platonic stobin brain turns on romo and platonic byler on their respective places in the timeline are literary impeccability
Byclair- adorable and I could totally see it, 7.5/10
Wheelclair- surprisingly cute but not my first instinct I do truly Get the cuteness but 6/10
Elumax- be it romo lumax romo elmax with pl hopclair, romo hopclair, or qp hopclair, still adorable to me and I actually understand them more than you do don't go near my children sorry guys blorbo is just for me actually 100/10
Stobin- 10/10 platonic and queerplatonic aromantic and lesbian solidarity!! But also their arc and how they support eachother!! Beautiful precious my precious you can't have it wow am i gatekeeping?
Rockie- unopinionated so 6/10 besties endgame material romo
Ronance- I can never stop thinking about Nancy comparing Barb and Robin to eachother but y'all's headcanons are cute 5/10
Stancy- you know me. I love Steve. I love Nancy. Which is exactly why I can't in good conscious dare ship them together! Nancy's whole thing of relating him to Barb's death (valid) is word on its own if you don't throw in the fact that Steve super cool dream directly contradicts everything Nancy wants in life! Neither of them should have to compromise their LIFE around accommodating the other! You can say what you want about "they still like eachother romantically" which isn't even really true imo but had it ever occurred to you that sometimes people can feel romantically and and decide that a friendship would do them more good? Which isn't to say they are super close friends either because honestly their friendship has gotten the least amount of attention by the writers. -20/10 romo and 7/10 potential friendship that we will never get to see on screen.
Jancy- I honestly could not care less whether they are endgame their unbreakable bond etc etc doesn't care whether they're friends or dating 6/10
Jargyle- 10/10 how does it feel to be the most perfect ship in the world? Pl, QP, romo, alterous, whatever it is these two mean the world to me
Stonathan- question why? I'm sure it's cute I just don't understand the origin of the hype. What's it ABOUT for y'all?
Stoncy- see above, both 5/10
Steddie- I actually like it as a ship kind of if it weren't for the fact I can't see Steve not being aromantic. Also while we're here thank you if you've stopped cross tagging because I'd I look up Erica Sinclair In not looking for Eddie x Reader fics 6.5/10 romo
Boyce- wait actually this might have been my first ST ship not elmax.. anyways they're adorable and I totally hated the way they did the love triangle thing. Hopper being annoying distracted me from Bob being the coolest guy in the world.
Jopper- I guess I'm cool with them now but I was so anti jopper in S2 not because I'm invested in the love triangle I fucking hate love triangles but because Hopper was insufferable in seasons two and three and Joyce had like no boundaries in season three that got weird because ofc the writers decided to build up their canon in the most annoying way possible. Maybe they could have been an 8/10 if ST writers had fucking tried at all before season four but now they're closer to a 4.5/10 for me tbh but go back to season one where their friendship was pretty cool and they've known eachother forever and all that- super fucking sweet 8/10 points taken off because I just generally find Hopper annoying (as a person not as a character I get how he's important to the story and blah blah)
Boycer- since the suffers never ruined it I mean wrote it and I can imagine them however I want- polyamorous Joyce with her two boyfriends is a 10/10
Edissy- I genuinely thought this was a joke 2/10 romo 7/10pl
Joyren- not to be a Karen hater but I kinda hate Karen 1/10
Kargyle- I love Kali with all my heart. I absolutely adore Argyle. But I don't get this ship. Like why. 5/10 romo 8/10 pl
Kalancy- yes let women kill people! I mean I'm the scenario I imagine they are def at Kali's home not Nancy's and it's def not a healthy mindset but let's not think about that.. honestly I don't think about them at all but I guess it could be cool. 8/10 romo 9/10 pl 9/10 qp

i'm rewatching stranger things and i love it so much like what. so this is just me ranting. (spoilers for all the tv show).
first of all i'm sorry byler fans for not understanding, now i'm switching sides and i kind of think you guys are fucking right ? i don't even think the writers are gonna pull a destiel so... still love mileven, but since season 3 i kind of hope they break up ?
but yeah season 2 mileven has my whole heart.
lucas/max are still the greatest ship ever and they're the only one i will actually riot for. like the others are fine and i ship but them ? if they don't stay together i cry.
i miss jonathan season 1. he was one of my favorite. i still like him but he definitely has changed and didn't feel like a main character in season 4.
jancy are endgame. that scene with them talking about each other and being like "she's so smart"/"he's so sweet" was PEAK ROMANCE. he wants her to follow her dreams and they have so much respect for each other they're perfect. sorry stancy you're cute too but jancy is just on top.
kali is so uninteresting. i hate her episode with my whole heart. actually, i didn't like eleven's solo trip at all (her talking with her mother was still touching) in season 2 while i loved it in season 4.
joyce and jonathan's scene after they went to see will at the morgue is truly heartwrenching. i felt so bad.
felt bad i didn't care about barbara and i still don't. she was never that much of a character for me.
i'm scared of eleven dying in season 5. i just think she deserves to live. plus everytime a main character who sacrificed everything to save the world dies, it's the worst written shit ever in tvshows. i don't know why but there is no satisfaction they don't fucking know how to do it.
they're kinda all my favorite characters which i think is true for a lot of people and i will die on this hill. they all have something about them that makes them interesting.
the party's fight in season 4 (lucas not coming to play) felt real. none of them were right (not coming to the game is an uncool move, but acting like your friends's interests are less important than yours is too) and i felt bad for lucas.
i love mike's character and his development. he felt like a boy growing up a lot (being a bitch of a teenager is a common experiment). he was the best in season 1 and 2 and was kind of pushed at the back to let the others be main characters too but i truly think is a great character and person. he's just growing up.
max's scene is the upside down is one of my favorite scene ever of the history of everything i've watched. it's perfect.
the tv show is so well written it's strange lmao. there's plot holes and flaws but it's almost perfect and there is a great balance between everything (science-fiction, coming of age kinda, adventure, romance/friendships/family) and i love it. i'm gonna miss it.

Tiktok is literally hell, most people have the worst takes for characters and completely lack common sense. Stancy is popular there bc they see two pretty people together who had history, slap a Taylor Swift song over it and call it a day. If Jancy had any screentime together we wouldn't see so many edits because people can apparently only focus on one season and disregard any other shit.
A few days ago someone commented under my anti Stancy comment that Nancy was the one who made Steve in the fan favorite character he is. Lmao yeah give all his development to his cheater ex gf who did nothing, she never begged him to change. Steve left his friends at the end of s1 bc he wanted to, granted bc he liked Nancy but still. To completely undermine his character in such a take is disgusting.
In my humble opinion Nancy never truly loved Steve, not in a way he loved her. For her he was a safety blanket, in a way he was kinda like her dad (not personality wise) but in terms of being wealthy and stable so instead of choosing Jonathan, who she always wanted she dragged Steve along for year. Steve represents the suburban life even back in s1 which she absolutely hates and Jonathan was always painted as like rebellion and adventure. I've seen tiktok comments saying oh Steve probably doesn't force her to have kids or that many, so it's fine she can live her dream and he will be a malewife. However why is that Steve is the one who has to hold back his dreams? Like yeah he wouldn't force her but that will only result in them resenting each other. It's clear he wants someone to raise those kids together with not just him alone. They just don't work so I hope the take you mentioned of him confessing to Nancy is him finally moving on he said everything he needed to let go. I'm begging at this point lol.
I still didn't like Nancy in s3, the way she treated Jonathan and their argument said more about her person than anything else. Granted both were wrong but her actions got never any repercussions, instead Jonathan was the one apologizing to her and she was like yeah now never doubt anything I say or do bc I'm never wrong. She can't own her mistakes and the show never addresses it. I like mean women but if there are never any consequences to her actions it's infuriating. Steve never got an apology from her after she cheated and still believes he's the worst bf ever but that's okay bc Nancy is our girlboss with guns.
The best outcome for those three characters would be anyone stay single. Stancy is toxic af, and Steve deserves better. Nancy deserves her career and Jonathan deserves someone who doesn't emotionally cheat as soon as he's not there.
Back to tiktok and their takes, I've seen so many people now saying if Stancy isn't endgame bc it's not going to be they kill Steve off. In fact I've seen ppl beg for it to happen and I'm sick to my stomach. Why doesn't he deserve a happy ending just bc his ex doesn't take him back. Steve dying would impact so many people, especially Dustin it would be cruel of the writers to take away Dustin's other big brother figure. And Robin losing the only person who truly understands her??? How is that fair. The fandom focuses way too much on ships than on the actual characters. I'm just saying how can you ship Stancy and claim to love Steve?
I'm so scared for s5 bc after what they did in vol2 I don't trust them. I love Steve sm as you can probably tell lol, he's like top3 of fictional boyfriends for me and him potentially not getting a happy end or dying for his toxic ex is making me ill. I just want him to live, find a girl or guy whatever to have his big family in the future. He deserves it sm, like I know the show doesn't address his trauma, physical or emotional, but he gave so much for this group and to just die it's not fair.
Obx anon
Ps I'm so sorry for not checking in more regularly life is crazy lol, I hope you're doing good ❤️
ugh, i know! tik tok is pretty bad sometimes, though not quite as bad as twitter yet. they claim that general flaws are toxic, but yet, they are supporting/shipping stancy? make it make sense.
nancy and jonathan's fight in season 3 kinda shows how privileged nancy has been all her life compared to jonathan. she jumped head first into this hunch because she wasn't scared of getting fired. she never once considered how much work jonathan had to put in just to get that job and he wasn't going to lose it over a hunch because that could ruin jonathan's future. they were both at fault in a way, so they both should have recognized their roles. this is exactly what i mean when i say the writers seem to want us to hate nancy because they do shit like what happened in season 4 and what is listed above.
i want nancy to grow as a character and i think that can only be done by her being single and exploring herself. and, whatever they do, not have stancy get back together. their dynamic in season 4 literally made me almost physically sick. hopefully, that was just a repercussion of the upside-down being stuck in 1983 and season 5 will not have this horrible content.
and, back to tik tok, they were all just saying that if steve was killed off they wouldn't watch it anymore? like make up your mind, please?
and, to your last point, that's okay lovely! i love how you back me up with really good points when i post rants like this! and don't i know life is crazy! but i'm surviving and keeping afloat, how about you?

Hey I'm the Ronance anon and I'm sorry for starting all this discourse on your blog today. I read the additional takes from others, especially about why I had to focus on Steve when it comes to a lesbian relationship and I never meant it in a disrespectful way. I guess I projected myself onto Steve, I was close friends with a girl who started dating my ex and our friendship just ended after that. So for me it was mostly about the Steve and Robin friendship dynamic because it's one of my favorite aspects of the show and I didn't want it to be ruined. And I'm not a huge fan of Nancy in general, I want what's best for Robin and I think she could do better than her. So yes my dislike definitely comes from personal experience more than anything else. In general I'm not a huge fan of cross dating in friend groups because it always ends up in drama. But you're absolutely right about that no guy's opinion should matter when it comes to a lesbian ship. In fact I really want to see good representation in media, and when push comes to shove and they would handle Ronance in a delicate way with everything that comes with it I could be on board definitely. I mean in the end this ship probably won't sail anyway besides in the fanon version. I wish that Robin gets to make out with girl next season, idk if Vicky is the right choice for tho bc the Duffers just made her a second Robin, we shall see.
I also saw someone bringing up Stonathan and why Nancy's feelings were never discussed when it comes to them dating. Now I also personally don't ship them as well, mainly I don't think they have chemistry and they barely interacted after s1 really. I guess also after Steve and Nancy broke up, I didn't consider them as friends. They interacted for the first time since two years in s4, and didn't seem close before given how things ended. So I guess it's a bit different for me here, Steve and Robin are besties, platonic soulmates and Nancy and Steve are more like acquaintances before s4 and even after that they seem awkward and not close (despite the Stancy agenda the writers pushed on us). If they were closer and Stonathan was on the table in s5 after Nancy and Jonathan broke it off, ofc I'm going to take Nancy's feelings into consideration when it comes to shipping her exes together, given the fact that they are all close friends. Like I said I generally hate cross dating in friend groups and I would rather let them all be single and be friends.
Okay I hope I didn't come across as disrespectful because that was never my intention at all. Also you don't have to answer this if you're done with the discussion.
i am kind of done with the discussion but i’ll make an exception for you since you’re the original anon! you definitely didn’t come across as disrespectful- in fact, the opposite- and i’m so sorry if i ever implied that. i think everyone who contributed, myself included, was frustrated by behavior we had observed and we used your ask as an excuse to talk about it even though your ask was perfectly appropriate. thank you for being so understanding and polite! (also, sorry about your friend and your ex. that sucks.)

Listen, I understand that different people have different opinions on different stuff and I respect that, or at least try to, but something I'm never gonna understand is the fact why people who ship Jancy hate Stancy or the other way around.
Both of the ships are beautiful in their own places, about Stancy, they have the most alluring chemistry in the whole show (along with Lumax) and about the individuals, Steve will never ever love anyone as much as he loves Nancy (I mean romantically, cause we all know how much he loves Rob and Dustin) and about Nancy, she will never be able to love anyone as much as she loves Steve.
Now about Jancy, they are two halves of a whole, they complete each other completely. Yes, they might bicker a lot and disagree with each other, but at the end of the day they try to figure out their own mistakes, step out of their comfort zones and try to understand the other's point of view and I think that's beautiful.
I honestly prefer Jancy over Stancy because even though I know Steve loves Nancy more than Jonathan does, I think Jonathan's there to make Nancy identify her mistakes whereas Steve will apologize even if Nancy was at fault, but it doesn't mean I don't like Steve or even think he is wrong, cause he's the loml and I will never think that! He just doesn't want to live without Nance so he wants to fix it regardless of who's fault that is and that is also beautiful.
And I honestly do not want Nancy to repeat the same mistake again and choose one over the other again, plus personally, Jancy feels like home to me so yeah.
