also, i think the writers ruined the show by making it all about romantic relationships. like it’s literally just coupling up and the whole treasure and social critique is lost and used as filler. it’s basically a show where people hook up, that’s all it is at this point and i am not a fan.

prompt: anonymous: “Wanda x Stark!reader anon - sorry about that!! I am new to requesting dsfdgf - but, for a plot, would this work? Wanda and reader are spending time alone and bonding (Wanda playing guitar, reader listening and trying to distract her with jokes or somethin), and maybe Wanda starts to cover a cheesy love song? (idk what songs you like, but maybe... Taylor Swift-esque sfdsd), and the reader realizes that they're deeply in love with her and it ends with them confessing? (1/2)”

The Compound was quiet, others were there, but taking care of their own business. You and Wanda had gotten a day off, which was a nice change. No training, no fighting...hell, you didn’t even have any chores. It was going to be a wonderful day for the two of you, plenty of time to bond.

Now, when Wanda got here, you convinced your dad, Tony, to let you take Wanda out on a little bit of a “build-a-new-life” shopping spree. She was going through a lot. Being experimented on, losing her home, losing her brother, moving to the United States, becoming an Avenger. It was all a lot to take in. Not only did she need a distraction, she needed to decorate her new room, make it her own space.

She told you that when she was a child, she played guitar. You took that as “I would like to have a guitar,” so you bought her one, as Starks do. It was a bit of a toxic trait from dad, but it didn’t hurt much. You got a joyful “thank you” from Wanda, and it warmed your heart to hear her practice. She was actually wonderful, you had to admit. And she loved having you as her audience.

“Ugh, you’re amazing. A true inspiration, I have to say. God, I wish I were half as good as you.” You ranted through your compliments, leaving Wanda blushing and covering up her beautiful smile while she did a little wipe of her nose. She was cute when she was flustered.

“Oh, stop that.” She giggled as she readjusted her capo on the neck of the guitar.

“No, no, I’m serious! Taylor Swift played at my Sweet Sixteen, and let me tell you, she ain’t got nothing on you.” You emphasized your point with a series of hand gestures, you sure knew how to get a girl to laugh. “Oh, you think I’m joking?”

“Here, I know a Taylor Swift song.” She positioned her fingers onto the correct frets and began strumming away, alternating her hand position and humming the melody. It was a breathtaking experience that made you want more before it was even over. You couldn’t begin to fathom your feelings for Wanda because they were always growing stronger, but now you were certain that you were in love. Your dad would get a kick out of that, considering he’d been teasing you about your little crush ever since you met Wanda. You denied, denied, and denied, but it looks like you were wrong. There’s a first time for everything.

Wanda began to sing the lyrics to Ours, leaving you absolutely speechless and sappy once you heard her voice start the chorus: “Don’t you worry your pretty little mind, people throw rocks at things that shine, and life makes love look hard...” You began to stare at Wanda’s both sweet and concentrated face, you were so tempted to interrupt with a kiss. The next minute or two seemed to fly by, because she was suddenly done. You gave her a personal round of applause while she jokingly took a bow. “Thank you, thank you.” Wanda pulled the guitar strap from behind her and set the instrument aside.

“God, I told you that I’m always right, yeah?” You watched her nod. “Good, good. Well, you’ve gotta believe me on this. You’re voice is stunning, I felt like there was some sort of angel sitting in front of me.” You told her, she wasn’t so used to getting all these compliments, they made her so unbelievably happy. “I can’t believe you’ve been hiding that pretty singing voice from me!”

“You talk too much.” She shot at you, but you always had some sort of comeback.

“Oh, I’m aware. It’s another famous Stark trait. You’re gonna have to get used to it.” You made sure to let her know. There was something else she needed to know, though. This was a good a time as any, just needed the check something really quick. “Hey, FRIDAY? Anyone heading near us anytime soon?”

“I suspect they may be a while. Your dad seemed to have had a ‘minor’ lab accident, the team is taking care of it now.” Your father’s AI explained, you didn’t expect anything less from Tony. At least you didn’t have to rush anything or push this back.

“Wonderful, thanks, FRIDAY.” You scratched the back of your neck nervously, and you didn’t get nervous often, especially when talking to someone. Wanda was a special someone, though. Stark charm, please don’t fail me now. “So, Wanda, I have to say, it’s amazing spending time with you.”

“Aw, thank you, y/n.” She smirked and tilted her head, that always gave you butterflies, you nearly lost your train of thought.

“Right, yeah, well,” you began to stutter out words, “I just...I mean...”

“Are you alright?” Wanda asked, causing you to tense up a bit.

“Let me start over.” You took a deep breath, this was it. Let’s go. “Okay, Wanda. I love spending time with you, it’s actually hard for me to be away from you. I’ve felt like this since I met you, the real you. I didn’t know how to tell you, but I’m getting a little bit antsy holding this in, you know?” You gave a little shrug, seeing her carefully listening to your speech. “We’ve been spending so much time together, it’s only convinced me more and more that I...I’m in love with you.” You let out the official words and watched her expression change from concern to something more...soft.

“Really?” She quietly mumbled, you gave her an eager nod. Wanda suddenly turned excited and jumped into your arms, nearly knocking you over. “This is wonderful! I have to say, I feel the same. I was getting worried that you wouldn’t like me, but this is better than I could have ever imagined!” She hugged you and pulled back a bit to face you.

“Does that mean I can kiss you? Because I’ve been dreaming of doing that for a long while.” You couldn’t help but watch her lips for an answer.

“Be my guest.”

Honestly, jiara almost made me into a shipper. Key word: Almost. When it finally happens, it feels lackluster, IMO. Idk maybe cuase of the actors, but it didn't give passion like Clope/Pleo.

when the show first started, i could see jiara. i could have backed it and supported it, but the writers ruined that and now they are trying to back pedal and it’s not working. and i honestly think that the actors are letting their actual opinions on the ship shine through. none of the cast really wanted jiara to happen, madison wanted a queer storyline for kie, we voiced that before the jiara wildfire sparked.

i am low key really excited for the clope/pleo ship bc i have heard so many good things about it and i am in love with jonathan so i can’t wait to swoon over him (😍).

🌸Roasted Marshmallows: Your camping with friends! Describe the forest you’re pitching your tent in for the ask game?

hi lovely! this is an amazing question bc i absolutely adore tenting and camping in general, it’s my favourite summer activity and two summers ago i stayed in a site that i still think about till this day!

the easiest way to describe it is very folklore-esk (the album not actual folklore bc some of that is really scary…. especially some things in indigenous folklore in canada…).

i am talking about light fog swirling around the trees. the evergreens a dark green - as of it were raining but it wasn’t. the smell of sweet earth floating around. some evergreens sparse and scabbed by nature. squirrels chattering and playing around the foliage. birds chirping, hopping around and burying their heads under the fallen leaves only to flick them away. on the edge, a perfect spot to hang a hammock to sit and read in while taking in the simple beauty and stillness of the woods.

Finally another anti-jiara like this is so fucking bad. Making Kie go basically through all the guys in their tiny friend group is such an ick tbh. Let them both be single and find partners outside their group. I hate that platonic friendships don't matter in shows. i wholeheartedly believe that if they hadn’t tried to put kie with both john b and pope before pairing her with jj, i would ship them, but at this point they are just ruining her character.

also, even madison herself said that she wanted to see kie have a queer storyline. but noooo, they have to bow down to people on twitter which honestly, the stan accounts on there for any fandom are so toxic that they should be paying more attention to tumblr.

i also can’t help but to hate what the writers did by having kie be romantically linked with all the guys in the group and having no consequences. like she was the first person pope slept with. after they slept together, she suddenly starts acting weird and broke up with him. and yet, they are still friends. it, to me, is teaching teens that sex isn’t something with deep emotional connections (to some people).

i am still gonna watch season 3 but i am 100% just skipping through jiara scenes. i cannot stand this pairing. in real life, this wouldn’t be plausible. and the relationship was just slapped together so their characters were developed independently and now they do not compliment each other romantically - there is no way that that relationship should withstand anything.

Tiktok is literally hell, most people have the worst takes for characters and completely lack common sense. Stancy is popular there bc they see two pretty people together who had history, slap a Taylor Swift song over it and call it a day. If Jancy had any screentime together we wouldn't see so many edits because people can apparently only focus on one season and disregard any other shit.

A few days ago someone commented under my anti Stancy comment that Nancy was the one who made Steve in the fan favorite character he is. Lmao yeah give all his development to his cheater ex gf who did nothing, she never begged him to change. Steve left his friends at the end of s1 bc he wanted to, granted bc he liked Nancy but still. To completely undermine his character in such a take is disgusting.

In my humble opinion Nancy never truly loved Steve, not in a way he loved her. For her he was a safety blanket, in a way he was kinda like her dad (not personality wise) but in terms of being wealthy and stable so instead of choosing Jonathan, who she always wanted she dragged Steve along for year. Steve represents the suburban life even back in s1 which she absolutely hates and Jonathan was always painted as like rebellion and adventure. I've seen tiktok comments saying oh Steve probably doesn't force her to have kids or that many, so it's fine she can live her dream and he will be a malewife. However why is that Steve is the one who has to hold back his dreams? Like yeah he wouldn't force her but that will only result in them resenting each other. It's clear he wants someone to raise those kids together with not just him alone. They just don't work so I hope the take you mentioned of him confessing to Nancy is him finally moving on he said everything he needed to let go. I'm begging at this point lol.

I still didn't like Nancy in s3, the way she treated Jonathan and their argument said more about her person than anything else. Granted both were wrong but her actions got never any repercussions, instead Jonathan was the one apologizing to her and she was like yeah now never doubt anything I say or do bc I'm never wrong. She can't own her mistakes and the show never addresses it. I like mean women but if there are never any consequences to her actions it's infuriating. Steve never got an apology from her after she cheated and still believes he's the worst bf ever but that's okay bc Nancy is our girlboss with guns.

The best outcome for those three characters would be anyone stay single. Stancy is toxic af, and Steve deserves better. Nancy deserves her career and Jonathan deserves someone who doesn't emotionally cheat as soon as he's not there.

Back to tiktok and their takes, I've seen so many people now saying if Stancy isn't endgame bc it's not going to be they kill Steve off. In fact I've seen ppl beg for it to happen and I'm sick to my stomach. Why doesn't he deserve a happy ending just bc his ex doesn't take him back. Steve dying would impact so many people, especially Dustin it would be cruel of the writers to take away Dustin's other big brother figure. And Robin losing the only person who truly understands her??? How is that fair. The fandom focuses way too much on ships than on the actual characters. I'm just saying how can you ship Stancy and claim to love Steve?

I'm so scared for s5 bc after what they did in vol2 I don't trust them. I love Steve sm as you can probably tell lol, he's like top3 of fictional boyfriends for me and him potentially not getting a happy end or dying for his toxic ex is making me ill. I just want him to live, find a girl or guy whatever to have his big family in the future. He deserves it sm, like I know the show doesn't address his trauma, physical or emotional, but he gave so much for this group and to just die it's not fair.

ugh, i know! tik tok is pretty bad sometimes, though not quite as bad as twitter yet. they claim that general flaws are toxic, but yet, they are supporting/shipping stancy? make it make sense.

nancy and jonathan's fight in season 3 kinda shows how privileged nancy has been all her life compared to jonathan. she jumped head first into this hunch because she wasn't scared of getting fired. she never once considered how much work jonathan had to put in just to get that job and he wasn't going to lose it over a hunch because that could ruin jonathan's future. they were both at fault in a way, so they both should have recognized their roles. this is exactly what i mean when i say the writers seem to want us to hate nancy because they do shit like what happened in season 4 and what is listed above.

i want nancy to grow as a character and i think that can only be done by her being single and exploring herself. and, whatever they do, not have stancy get back together. their dynamic in season 4 literally made me almost physically sick. hopefully, that was just a repercussion of the upside-down being stuck in 1983 and season 5 will not have this horrible content.

and, back to tik tok, they were all just saying that if steve was killed off they wouldn't watch it anymore? like make up your mind, please?

To the stancy anon

No need to call nancy a cheater... you can show steve appreciation with out calling her something she isn't. I love steve, he's my favorite character, but sometimes i feel like people worship steve so much they forget all the bad shit he did, but when it comes to nancy they bring back season 1 things. And this type of behavior almost always happens with the woman while the man is like "but he's such a better person now". You can dislike nancy btw, and i understandwhy some people don'tlike her sometimes, I'm not her biggest fan also. Besides they're just characters who are teenagers.

i also like steve and nancy as friends. they have both matured and they have grown since their break-up, but i really don't see a romantic relationship working out between them because of the things they both have done.

tbh, i think the big reason people are so quick to forget the things that steve has done (which, quite frankly, i hated steve in season one until he ran back to fight the demogorgon) is because he realized what he did was shitty and he made active changes in his life to better his character. this is not excusing what he did, he was shitty to nancy (another reason i don't think they should date again) because he was easily influenced by the shitheads he was friends with. he was also pissed at her in season 2 (understandably), but he talked to her and acknowledged that he wasn't a good boyfriend and that their relationship wasn't working out. steve changed into a better person because of the break-up with nancy. and in season 4, you can see him reverting back to his old self a little especially when nancy is around.

with nancy, her character isn't horrible. i like nancy enough, but (like i keep saying) it sometimes feels like the writers are trying to get viewers to not like her. from what we saw, nancy never actually explained what her and jonathan were doing in her room when steve saw them together. i also feel like the nancy cheating on steve argument is a lot like the ross cheating on rachel argument. with nancy, we never see an actual shift where she actively tries to correct a behaviour and i think that's where a lot of dislike for her character comes into play. also where the dislike for mike's character comes into play.

steve and nancy never officially broke up in the bathroom (that we know of), they had a fight. then, after the bathroom scene, nancy and jonathan go off on their mission and they sleep together. the whole cheating thing really comes down to opinion - like with the ross and rachel thing. were they or weren't they on a break kinda deal, ya know?

i also am not a fan of jonathan and nancy dating either tbh. jonathan has done sketchy shit as well and is not completely innocent. he also doesn't actively try to correct behaviour either like nancy.

however, with robin tho. with robin, we can see nancy thinking a little bit more and (maybe) changing for the better (which is what a relationship is supposed to do, bring out the best in you - not actively change everything about you, but makes you want to act like a better person if you catch my drift).

in sum: i don't like the relationships because both parties have issues making the relationship not good.

🏆 top three characters you like writing for?

hi lovely! i love this prompt and its so very rarely used so you made my little heart so happy by asking this!

i would have to say my top three characters to write for are (these fluctuate and re-order each other so often, but typically, this is the order i found):

3. robin buckley/steve harrington

these two are tied - not because they are from the same show or i find that they are one of the same (because they really aren't), but because i love writing for them both equally. i love writing for robin because she is adorable and chaotic. i think i relate to robin a lot so i can get her characterization down pretty good.

for steve, i started this blog out by writing steve. my first few fics were steve fics. writing for him will forever be one of my favourites. i find writing for steve easy, but never boring. i have no shortage of ideas (unless i have the dreaded writers block - ugh) when it comes to him, both with and without a request/prompt.

2. jj maybank/stiles stilinski

again, i couldn't choose so these two are tied as well.

i can play with jj's character so much when i write for him. there are endless possibilities when writing for jj. he's such a puppy because he can be sweet and cute but then be protective and aggressive the next second (but he never makes that switch unless there is a reason). he's soft, but he has depth. i also have aspects of my life that are similar to jj's so i can relate to certain aspects of his character - mainly the consequences of his socioeconomic standing.

stiles, for a lot of the same reasons as jj. stiles is soft, but has depth within his actual character. the two of them are reactive and reactive characters are fun to write for. separately from jj, teen wolf was the fandom that got me into the world of fandoms (aside from one direction) and stiles was a big part of that. naturally, because of that, stiles would be one of my favourite characters to write for!

1. fred weasley

i can always write for fred. the world of harry potter (to me) is so ethereal and i love writing ethereal fics. also, anything ethereal makes me so abundantly happy. also, writing for harry potter (specifically fred) makes me feel the way autumn feels - warm, cozy, hopeful, happy, and so much more!

similar to the other characters on this list, i find writing for fred fairly easy, but i can never get tired from it. i am obsessed with fred, i am very much a fred girl and i always will be. other than this answer, i really do not have any further explanation. i just love writing for fred.

Nancy is a cheater lol, you people just overlook it because she finally got together with Jonathan which was the relationship most people were rooting for. When they talked to Murray Nancy referred to Steve as her boyfriend, thus the whole "We like Steve but we don't love him" speech comes from. If they were broken up she would have said so to Jonathan who also acknowledged Steve as her boyfriend at that time. Plus you could argue she emotionally cheated on Steve for a year because Nancy confessed to Jonathan she waited for him to make a move and then had the audacity to be mad when Jonathan brought up she had a bf and he was busy with Will.

That's what the other anon was talking albout, the show never addresses her mistakes. Steve still believes he was at fault for the breakup while she was out there cheating. I'm not saying he was perfect but he put in the work. He left his friends and tried to be a good person. Like they were together for a year obviously he had changed while being in the relationship. He was supportive by going to Barb's parents with her, he tried to protect Nancy by telling her to drop the investigation. She didn't understand it or rather felt misunderstood by him but he had good intentions. It's simply miscommunication there and maybe if they would have talked it out who knows but it didn't change the fact that Nancy was always into Jonathan. I mean after the party the next day Steve referred to Jonathan as Nancy's second boyfriend, so even he was aware of the tension. In my opinion they didn't break up after the argument bc Steve went to her house to talk and to apologize while she was already in bed with Jonathan. I get it it's ambiguous but if you watch closely and I have rewatched s2 more than 5 times because it's my comfort season you can tell she was a cheater. Like if the roles were reversed everyone would say oh Steve's so horrible for it how could he they never clearly broke up Nancy deserved better. For real everyone would always bring it up especially after revived Stancy content in s4. Everyone would be yelling at Nancy to not go back to him because of how he treated her in s2, again if the roles were reversed.

sidenote before i start the reply: i love all the interaction i've been getting and i also love how you guys are not attacking each other but discussing and debating in a respectful way by bringing up valid points. however, if any ask pops up being rude to other anons/posters, i will not be posting the message. i just want to make that clear before that situation arises.

i, personally, am leaning towards nancy cheating (just like i lean toward ross cheating) within the cheating or not argument just because the lines of the relationships were blurry. she also did emotionally cheat within the steve relationship. they were keeping a dead relationship alive by the time the bathroom fight happened in season 2. let's be honest, their relationship was set up to be a temporary thing anyway. steve and nancy were never meant to last past season 1, then they weren't meant to last past the bathroom fight.

i know i have said this a lot, but the dislike towards nancy is from the writers not having her grow or recognize her bad behaviours/actions. steve recognizes his and changes them in season 1 and 2, but in season 4 he doesn't seem to in favour for stancy content which is ooc. this gives us a hint that steve and nancy dating again will reverse steve's character development which will hinder any chance we get at any character development in nancy.

in favour of nancy's character, if they would stop having her torn emotionally between jonathan and steve, maybe then she'll actually have character development. i am personally in favour of her realizing she liked robin and having her character development occur from her romantic feelings for robin.

i do definitely think that the opinions of tik tok and others would change if the roles would be reversed. but, on the flip side of that, i do think there would still be a lot of fans ignoring what steve did no matter what because there will always be fans who ignore all the bad aspects of a character because they are cute, or because of their sex/gender identity, or because of any other reason.

we must remember that stancy was originally just something that stood in the way of jonathan and nancy getting together. the relationship was always supposed to be one-sided because nancy always had a thing for jonathan (which is why i assume the writers had her overlook the photos).
