The way simon finally realized that betty sacrificed everything for him was...wonderful

I mean, Simon sacrificed himself for her too, but he never really realized what she left behind by staying with him. Even when Fiona asks, "So you got on the bus with her?" he responds, "what? why would I do that?"

And after spending time with Beth and reading Casper and Nova's book, Simon finally understands. He finally understands everything Betty sacrificed for him and his choices. He finally understands that everything could have been different if they had followed the path of Betty's choices.

And in the flashback scene, he tries to change that, he tries to go with Betty on the trip, but he knows that's not what happened. And he know that this cannot be changed.

And I think after all this time, he might finally let her go, when he stayed behind instead of going with her on the bus.

The metaphor of betty leaving on the bus and leaving simon behind was magnificent. But the metaphor of Simon being like Betty's dandelion was also extraordinary.

I mean, Betty blows him away like a dandelion, wishing he could finally live his life on his own, in peace, and the way he wants, in the happiest way possible, without having to worry to bring her back at all costs. Cuz everything that's done is done, and you can't go back.

And the way they looked each other in the eye and said how important they were, I guess this time, it was a goodbye. Not forever, but still a goodbye.

Like, they'll never stop caring about each other, and they'll always think about how each other is doing, but now they can finally live in peace. Knowing that despite the bad choices they made during their lives together, there is nothing to regret.

I saw this fan-comic other day that showed that Simon always picked up objects and pointed them at the sky, because he thought that Betty might be watching him from up there... and I like to think that's what's going to happen. They will live their lives, but they will still be looking out for each other.

After all, they are doomed yuri (hehe *crying*)

Beel: *nobs, swiftly picks up Mc and begins to carry them on his back*

Mc: "W-wha?! Beel! I said I could walk if I was just given a minute!"

Beel: "It's fine, I like holding you."

Mc: *slightly stunned and also tired*

Beel: *begins to walk while carrying Mc*

Belphie: *walks along side Beel*

Belphie: "Also means we'll get back faster, which means more time to nap before dinner."

Mc: *sighs* "Alright. You win."

Mc: *closes their eyes, wraps their arms around Beel's neck, and let's their body go slack*

Mc: "you win"

Got really nostalgic about those two after watching the last Underverse episode and rewatching the whole X-Tale series again so I felt the need to make some quick fanarts (they will always live rent free in my mind)

Does Doey ever find out the origin of his creation, if so, what are his thoughts on it? Is it relieving to know the source of all that confusion, or does it add more stress to his mind?

(pulls up a chair) No no no cuz lets talk about this-

Doey goes on to explain what the interrogation rooms are in ch 4 and his own experiences in them, he also goes on to talk about the doctor and how he knows that A) he knows his name is Harley Swayer and B) he knows Harley was responsible for creating him/the other bigger bodies

In cannon I think it's highly likely that Doey is aware of what it is Playtime is doing with the orphans, and then during the final fight where he says "Mommy daddy i just wanna go home" implies that he at least remembers interacting with Susan and George before they died (rip)

BUT...What if he didn't know that?? HM?? Imagine how utterly world destroying that would be: Doey waking up as this thing, he isn't human, nor animal, he's a thing. Property. Playtime Co prod at him and have his work like a mule. For a long time Doey views himself as just that, a thing, he has no identity, and he hates it.

After the hour of joy and safe haven is created, Doey finally feels like he's learning about himself for the first time. He can interact with toys not because he's being forced to, but because he can, he can be him, he can learn who he is.

Imagine going through all that pain and suffering, finally getting to a point where you a content with who you are and the family you have built from the painful situation you were forced into without a say, only to then have your identity taken away to when you learn that no. You aren't Doey, you never were just Doey, you are three kids, three helpless kids that were forced to become Doey

The identity you built for yourself has been built on the death of three innocent kids, your identity is build on pain and ultimately death

You are not Doey, nor Jackie, nor Kevin, nor Matthew, you don't know what you are anymore..

DOEY FEELING ALL THIS ANGUISH, ANGER AND SADNESS BUT NEVER KNOWING IT'S ORIGIN, ONLY TO LEARN THAT ALL THOSE FEELINGS WERE NEVER HIS OWN, IT WAS SOMEONE ELSES SUFFERING. MAKING HIM QUESTION IF ANY OF HIS CHOICES, FEELINGS OR TIMES OF HAPPINESS HAVE EVER BEEN HIS. WAS ANYTHING HE DID EVER HIS??
