Summary: Y/n has everything she needs in life. A family, friends, a safe place she calls home and most importantly a male whom she loves. What happens when it all changes when Y/n finds out about the betrayal of her lover and her so called family? Well, ending up in Terassen and in queen Aelin's court was not what she expected but what she will need to start her new journey full of surprises.
See masterlist
A/n: Hey everyone! I am so happy that you guys liked the first chapter of this series which is why I have decided to continue it yayy!! Anywaysss, enjoy this second chapter <3
Y/n could not move, could not think or feel properly as her mind tried to come up with ways to escape whoever the male behind her is. The knife was placed in a way that, if she even dared to move her head an inch, it would slice right through her throat. She was wearing a simple white shirt with black pants and did not have any weapons, except a small knife hidden in her pants pocket, because in a perfect world, she was expecting to still be at home, preparing for bed, not fighting with Azriel and certainly not ending up wherever this place is.
As if he could hear her thoughts, the male slowly lowered the knife but still kept his hold on her as he turned y/n around. The second she turned around, y/n felt weak in the knees as she beheld the male in front of her.
Lucious, wavy and golden blond hair, beautiful sun kissed, golden brown skin and most importantly, those hypnotizing onyx eyes that look darker than a night devoid of stars. Whoever this male is, he was definetly a warrior or atleast a skilled fighter if his broad chest and shoulders that had multiple different kinds of weapons strapped to them were any indicator.
"You are coming with me."
This dragged y/n back into reality as she realized that she has been creepily staring at him. However, she did not have the time to feel embarassed as she noticed his slightly loose hold on her arms as an opening to her escape. With a quick move that the male did not see coming, y/n threw a punch to the strangers nose. This caused his hold on her to loosen completely and so, y/n gathered all her remaining strength and shot to the sky.
From above, she started searching for any clues as to where she might be. This site looks nothing like Velaris or even the Night Court. Open grassy fields, lakes, mountains...what is this place? not even the Spring court was this beautiful. Definetly not the other courts either. Maybe the mortal lands? But no, the male who threatened her was a fae. Definetly not Hybern either. Well, she has never been to Hybern, especially not after the war, but still, y/n did not imagine for that place to look this breathtaking.
Y/n's wings started slowing down as she realized how tired she was and that is when she spotted a small open area in the middle of a forest and decided to land there. The stranger is a good distance away so getting some rest and then exploring some more is the only good plan.
But before she could even sit down for a second, a giant white wolf leapt on her and pinned her to the ground, baring its teeth to her with a low growl. Y/n knew then and there that this was it, that she was about to be killed by this beast when suddenly, she got blinded by a bright light and the next thing she knew, the white beast was replaced by that stranger from before. He left her no time to ask questions or fight him back as his skillfull hands did a quick work of chaining her arms to his belt.
"You think that just because you have wings you can escape me? Get up." The stranger said, as he stood up from his position over her body.
Y/n bared her teeth at him before she replied, "Unchain me, I am not going anywhere with you."
The male, still looking down at her, only said, "Now."
"How did you find me? I thought my punch would have made you go home crying."
He gave her a cruel smirk as he said, "The next time you try to punch someone, try to aim properly."
"I was panicked! I did not care where I aimed as long as it got me far away from you!"
His face became cold and hardened again as he said, "Get up. This will be the last time I say it."
When y/n refused to oblige, she saw him turn around and start walking but before she could yell after him to unchain her, she was being dragged through the grassy ground by the chain. He was dragging her? He was dragging her!
"Hey! what are you doing?!"
He ignored her.
"Stop! your'e hurting me!"
He ignored her
"My wings! They will rip apart if you keep this up!"
He ignored her.
"You bastard! You are dragging me through the ground, stop!"
He kept on ignoring her.
With no options left, y/n sighed and shouted, "Fine! I will follow you, but please stop for a moment the back of my shirt is about to rip open! I will get up and follow you!"
At that, he stopped and turned around, still looking expectantly at her with cold, unflinching eyes that made her shiver.
To say y/n was furious, would be an understatement; however, looking at him made her realize something. She would rather die than admit it but y/n found it very impressive (and attractive) how he could walk so casually while dragging her weight with the chain linked to his body. Not wanting to gather all the dirt on the ground, y/n got up to her feet and started hesitantly following him.
As they kept walking, y/n decided to get some information out of her captor that could potentially be helpful when she escapes. So, changing her expression to the most indifferent and nonchalant one like she was trained to do, y/n asked the male, "What is this place?"
The male did not look back as he replied, "Don't act so foolishly by asking me such a meaningless question."
"I am not being foolish, I have no clue as to where am I and what this place is."
When she saw how the stranger scoffed but said nothing, y/n knew that she had to use a different strategy and so, she stayed silent because she knew she could not trust this male to tell him anything about where she comes from and it seemed he wouldn't tell her anything either. So her next best plan would be to wait and see where he takes her. But as if curiosity got the best of her, y/n asked, "What is your name?"
"That does not concern you."
"So I am to call you stranger then? As you wish stranger."
He sighed but then said, "Fenrys, call me Fenrys."
Fenrys. Such a unique name and yet, something about it felt so comforting that as y/n tested out his name on her tounge silently, she could not help but feel as if the name had something that made it feel special to her. And maybe it was that momentary comfort that made her slip up and reveal her name to him.
"My name is Y/n"
Fenrys did not turn around but she saw just a slight nod of his head in acknowledgment and that was enough.
When they reached the clearing of the forest, Fenrys turned around and told her, "Come closer to me."
"Why, I don-"
"Do not waste my time. You are a captive here so do as I say and come closer to me."
Y/n hesitantly came closer as Fenrys held out his hand. When she gave him a questioning look, he sighed and said, "Trust me, I won't kill you, atleast not until my queen commands me to."
Y/n took his hand, gave him a puzzling look and asked, "Your queen? Is she one of the mortal queens? There is no fae queen in Pryth-"
She did not get to finish her sentence as suddenly y/n felt this strong yet comforting power course around them. That is when she realized that Fenrys was winnowing them.
One second y/n was clinging to his arms as he winnowed them, and the next she was standing in the center of what looked like a large palace room. White, gold and hints of silver with green were everywhere, from the tall pillars to the designs on the ceiling. Everywhere she looked was a masterpiece, even the small but comfortable lounge chairs had green intricate designs on them. The large windows brought in the sunlight that made the room look very heavenly and peaceful. There was also a medium sized flag that carried the image of a white stag with a crown on its head hanging from the large window in the back. Y/n guessed it to be their house crest.
But, the fae in the room were what brought y/n back from her daydream. There were four of them. Sitting on one of the lounge chairs, was a a stunning female with pale skin, long voluminous brown hair that cascaded down her back and eyes of the most beautiful shade of green ever. Standing next to her, was a very tall, tan and muscled male with long blond hair and blue eyes. Then, right infront of y/n, in the center of the room, was a handsome, tan male with silver hair that was cut short to his scalp, emerald green eyes and broad shoulder's that made him look dominating. But what caught her attention the most, was the tattoo that started from his left temple and continued all the way through his throat where it disappeared under his clothes. Finally, next to him was a beautiful female with long blond locks and eyes that seem to be the brightest shade of blue. In fact, it seems like this female and the other male are twins or atleast related because they are the spitting image of one another.
The brown haired female spoke first, "Took you long enough."
Fenrys sighed and replied with, "She was not easy to catch."
The blond female gave a cool assesing stare at y/n and especially at her wings before asking, "What part of Erilea are you from?"
"What? I know of no such place."
"Do you consider us to be fools?"
This question came from the blonde haired male who was now stalking closer to her.
"Do I look like one? I do not know who you are, let alone where I am!"
Y/n suddenly felt as if all the air was drained out of her body which caused her to fall on her knees. She was suffocating, she could not think or say anything but choke and gasp for air. Just when she felt like dying, the air returned back to her body. Y/n, still in shock, did not care about her image as she kept kneeling on the ground and greedily inhaling air while still coughing.
That is when she felt a pair of arms hold her by her waist as she tried to get up again. The comforting scent of vanilla and sandalwood hit her nose and as she turned her head sideways...Fenrys was the one holding her and even though he was't looking at her, she could feel from his tight grip on her waist how unnerved he was.
"Let this be a warning for you if you lie again." That cold voice brought her back to reality as Fenrys let go of y/n, still staying behind her, and she turned around to see the silver haired male now standing before the blond female, protecting her.
The female pushed past him and came closer to y/n and asked her, although slightly less aggressively than before, "Who sent you here? Who do you work for?"
At that moment, y/n felt all sorts of emotions. Disbelief, confusion, frustration but most importantly, anger. Who do they think they are? Judging her like she came here on purpose. Trying to kill her with their...impressive powers. Since when does Prythian have fae who can take the air of of your body?
With a frustrated sigh, she says, "I do not know what this place is OR who you are. I know of no place named Eri-what was it? I come from the Night Court in Prythian so either you are the ones acting like fools or you simply have lost your minds because to think that I would come here of my own will? I mean, have you seen what I am wearing? This certainly does not look like something I would wear if I were to be sent off on a mission."
"You have wings. No one in Erilea has ever had wings before. At least not anyone we know."
Y/n was slightly startled when she heard the voice from behind her, sounding too close for her comfort. The green eyed female was no longer on her lounge chair but right behind y/n, as if preparing to attack her should y/n attempt something.
A gasp made y/n turn her head back around to see what was going on. The blond female was looking at her with wide eyes and then at the silver haired male beside her. They stared like that at one another, which made y/n believe that they were conversing mentally. The males eyes widened for a split second before he turned his head at her and asked, "Where did you say you were from?"
"Night Court in Prythian. Why?"
The blond female looked at her look alike, then at the green eyed female and lastly, at Fenrys who was behind y/n as well. Then, with a slightly shaky voice, she asked no one in particular, "The Wyrdgates. Could it be? Is it possible?"
The other blond one says, "No, you closed it. It can't be."
At that, the room grew silent as some sort of an unnerving tension fell over everyone. Confused and annoyed, y/n asked, "What is that? Where am I? I don't understand. Explain. Now."
The brown hair female came around to face y/n as she said, "We don't know what Prythian is. There is no place named the Night Court in here."
Seeing y/n's shocked yet confused face, it was Fenrys who spoke up, "Do you remember how you ended up here?"
Y/n started recounting what happened more to herself than to anyone else, "I had an argument with Azriel, then the voice led me to the House of Wind and then...the book of Breathings. Oh Mother above." Realization dawned upon her as she realized that she had just ended up in a completely different world.
"Well, we will pretend like we understood what you just said." The blond male said which earned him a glare from his look a like.
The blue eyed female sighed as she looked at everyone and then said to y/n, "We...we need to have a talk. There is a lot that you need to be told and a lot that you need to tell us."
"I-I am not telling you anything. You can torture me all you like but you won't get any information out of me."
"You need to. We need to know if what we believe is happening is true." The silver haired male speaks as he slowly motions for everyone else to spread around and sort of cage her in the room.
But y/n wasn't hearing anyone as her mind went completely silent and all she heard were murmurs as she felt like she was underwater. She started pacing around as her eyes were wide with disbelief, "T-th-that stupid book....Oh Cauldron boil me...I-I...home..need to g-"
"Keep your eyes on her." Silver hair says.
Y/n did not see how around her, everyone was just as shocked by her. How they were watching her every move, ready to attack her if she dares to try something. She did not care because she felt like she was hyperventilating, loosing her mind.
"Aedion call a heale-"
The only thing she saw was Fenrys's concerned face reaching out to hold her as she descended into darkness.

Yayy! :D
I was wondering if I could have some hcs of Ashton and Sirius (seperate) with a s/o that’s like a wolf anima? They get really happy to see them and don’t try to hide it too, their tail is wagging so fast when they’re seeing them
yippee
every hour, every minute, every second!✦
#;headcanons, ashton x wolf anima!reader, siri x wolf anima!reader
tags // awooooo, ok that was random but waggy tail, kemonomimi, shy shy shy, flustered ashton, teasing sirius yet appreciates how his dear s/o gets excited to see him, slightly suggestive on siri's part
ok sooo
ashton is shy baby.'
ashton gets fluster.
but he'll be more flustered when he sees [name] wagging their tail as soon as they see him, even just a small glimpse.
they were a weird pair for others, but they accepted it nonetheless
i mean, a wolf anima and a rabbit anima together??
but anyways, ashton was probably watering that flower again when [name] saw him.
[name] was running around trying to catch a dragonfly and stumbled, rolling around and finally stopped near a flower pot. they heaved out a sigh and rolled onto their back.
they darted their eyes everywhere and hissed accidentally looking into the sun. they covered their eyes dramatically before staying still thinking how embarrassing that was.
[name] heard pitter-patter; water, probably being consumed by soil. they turned their head, as well as their body and looked where it was coming from.
their eyes landed on the person's shoes before trailing it up, revealing ashton. ashton slightly furrowed his brows as he heard soft yet fast tapping on the ground.
[name] writhed away from the tiredness and sat up before rushing to ashton, almost ruining some flowers on the way.
ashton, stripped of his focus on the flower, focused on the hurried footsteps coming his way. he squinted his eyes before realizing that it was his significant.
he knew about their habit of skipping class, but he couldn't ever get over the fact that [name] was always open about their excitement; about seeing him.
there wasn't really anyone in the garden, but he still couldn't believe someone would be excited to see him. [name] then jumped at ashton, instinctively wrapping his arms around [name].
he sighed, a small and soft smile appearing on his face, contrasting his partner's giddy smile.
"..hey."
"hi!!"
motherfucker's a menace teasing his partner bro
but he does appreciate it, he really does
underneath his teasing demeanour, he is a really good boyfie
bro's in the kitchen when he senses [name] skipping again
[name] ditched class again, and this time, they're hungry. they felt their stomach rumble as they made their way to the kitchen. ears down, tail wagging melancholy.
they thought about siri's cooking and pouted; missing the taste of the food he cooks. sure it may just be steak, but the way he prepares it made [name] water.
as siri was messing around with the ingredients, he sensed footsteps getting closer. he couldn't care less and continued on with what he was doing.
[name] slightly wooshed their tail and accidentally made a noise, startling themselves. [name] went stiff for a second, not realizing they were already in the kitchen.
siri glanced at [name] and raised one of his brows, before thinking of something. he smoothly maneuvered towards his partner and tugged their tail.
it sent a shock and [name] jerked to a nearby wall; near the entrance; making it easy for siri to do his other thing. before [name] could even speak up, he pinned them on the wall and nestled his face on their neck.
[name]'s tail was now in-between their legs and it wagged excitedly, yet struggled as it was restrained by their own legs. they could feel his warmth breath tickling their neck.
"seems someone's excited to see me."
siri smirked before kissing [name]'s neck, kissing also, along their face. he quickly pecked [name]'s lips and grinned.

Werewolf!Hongjoong meeting his mate
Type: werewolf au, all heart melting fluff
Pairing: Werewolf!Hongjoong x Human!Reader
Word count: 2,005
A/n: My first Ateez post, hello Atiny welcome to my blog!! This wasn’t a request I got here, but I got it from my friend and I’ve been wanting to write a werewolf au for some time now so yayy. You can all thank my lovely Luna for this, and excuse my horrible photoshopping skils. Don’t be afraid to talk to me and enjoy.
Song: Peter Pan - Exo
TW: None
Hongjoong sighed, his feet dragging along the concrete of the sidewalk as his tired form walked sluggishly through the small town. He was exhausted. Being the alpha of seven rowdy and slightly clumsy werewolves was no easy feat. They managed to get in a lot more trouble than the normal amount. Just last week he had to stop Mingi from walking straight into a werewolf hunter camp because Wooyoung bet him nachos he wouldn’t do it.
Hongjoon tiredly exhaled rubbing at his bleary eyes as he made his way to the music store across the street from the quaint little cafe called Light Illusion. After such a long time of coming to the store on a regular basis, the kind old man who owned the store greeted Hongjoong by name asking how he had been with a bright smile, the corners of his eyes wrinkling with laugh lines. Hongjoong responded with a polite smile and a slight bow of his head.
He fixed his hat already feeling some of the weight ease off of his chest as his eyes raked over the variety of CDs and albums lining the store aisles. Music was everything to him, his safe place.A comfort in a hectic and lamentable life. A source of happiness sprouting in the confines of his chest making him forget of the seedlings of suffering on the edges of his mind.
The owner came up to him with sparkling eyes, quivering hand offering him a CD. Hongjoong looked at it and furrowed his eyebrows, looking at the older man with questioning eyes.
“Classical?” He questioned, doubt evident in his tone. Sure, Hongjoong had listened to right about everything, but he never took himself as a classical kind of guy. He hesitated before taking the case and turning it this way and that, examining it with an uncertain kind of wonder. He was met with a knowing chuckle, “You never know kid, life can hit you in all kinds of unexpected ways. Give it a try, maybe it can end up becoming a nice memory.”
Hongjoong shook his head confused at the slight tilt of the shop owner’s lips before shrugging and digging in his pocket for money, but he was stopped by the old man’s waving of hands. “Don’t worry son, it’s on the house. You don’t look so good, maybe this will cheer you up. Hey, why don’t you treat yourself some? The cafe across the street has some pretty sick blueberry muffins.”
Hongjoong sincerely thanked the shop owner, putting the CD case into his pocket carefully making sure it wouldn’t fall out. He exited the shop being met with a fresh breeze, eyes falling on the cafe across the street feeling like it was suddenly easier to breathe. He truly thought he must be crazy as he looked both ways and started crossing the street, one destination in mind. He entered, the calm environment providing him with comfort in a place he has never been before.
The walls were made of murals, bookshelves covering the wall to the far right, and star-shaped lights hanging from the ceiling. Hongjoong studied the menu then made his way to the counter, softly stating his order and paying being told his order would be out shortly and to sit anywhere by an energetic cashier.
A table placed close to the bookshelves against a wall with a star dotted mural, surprisingly not feeling awkward or anxious in such a foreign place. There weren't many people, the few that were present busy typing away in their laptops or reading a book, caught up in both the struggles and luxuries of life.
Hongjoong was bought out of his stupor when the light sound of applause rang around the room. He abruptly sat up in his seat realizing the soft sound of a piano was not coming from the cafe speakers. The hunched figure sat on a piano bench, fingers flexing from the strain of playing for so long didn’t look up at the appreciative clapping, head bent as her hands traveled back to the keys. He felt his skin tingle and heat up as an intense and strange force began pulling him to you feeling as if time itself was slowing down.
You had to stop yourself from glancing around the room when you heard people clapping for you. You were too shy, afraid of messing up if you looked up from the keys. You had played the piano since you were a child, but you stopped when life became too busy for you to keep up with everything. College was expensive, and when the cafe a few blocks from your campus offered a job for a pianist, you took it.
Even after weeks playing in the same cafe, you were still too bashful to look at the faces of your audience. A stare was directed at you making a searing heat erupt in the back of your neck, and you tried distracting yourself by looking at the request sheet where people wrote down the songs they would like you to play. A gentle smile tugged at your lips when you saw the next song was a love song.
You cleared your throat taking a sip of water, and you brought your shaky hands back to the keys playing the starting notes. Your fingers pressed gently on the smooth expanse of the keys as you still did not lift your gaze, nervous of who was looking at you in such a focused manner to be able to send shivers down the length of your spine.
You felt the odd urge to look up, but you held firm keeping your eyes solely on the black and white keys of the piano.
A soft smile tugged at your lips at the sweet lyrics, and because you got distracted by the lovely words, you gave in to the temptation of looking up.
“The one person who made my heart pound. As soon as I felt you, my eyes shone”
A powerful and strong wave of shock coursed through you as you met a pair of wide warm eyes holding the same amount of surprise as you. Even when you made eye contact and his shone in a golden hue, you couldn’t look away while you continued singing the love song. You weren’t scared, if anything, you felt safe.
Hongjoong almost fell out of his chair when you looked up instantly meeting his eyes. He felt like the wind had gotten knocked out of him having to press his lips tightly together to stop the whine surging up his chest from spilling out his trembling lips.
His knuckles turned white from gripping the edge of the table having to control himself from standing up and plopping himself next to you on the small piano bench. He had always been a bit hesitant about mates. He was an alpha, and had so much to do on a daily basis.
But that all flew out the window when he saw you, your pretty lips quirked up in a small delicate smile that made his heart pound with words of adoration ringing around the small room as you didn’t look away. Your soft beautiful eyes captivating him in the most intoxicating manner. Hongjoong found himself not being able to focus on anything but you in the moment, and even if his duty as an alpha weighed down on him, he knew he would be okay if he had you by his side.
The last notes of the song broke you out of your trance, making you look down as your pinky bent down to pressing on the key with the last note traveling through the room. The customers momentarily breaking away from what they were doing to elapse into a soft round of applause that made your shoulders shrug up bashfully. Your eyes flickered to the clock realizing it was time for your break as you flexed your fingers licking your lower lip and scrunching your nose at the dry feeling. You were further assured of your break as Irene’s small hands placed a muffin with a coffee on the little table you had a foot away to the left of the piano. You smiled up at her thanking her, but she simply raised an eyebrow and winked at you, her eyes flickering behind you before she left with a snicker.
You were confused at her weirder than normal behavior only for your heart to lurch in your chest when you felt a presence behind you. Whirling around you were met with the boy you had made intense eye contact with while playing the last game, except there was no gold in the warm brown that colored his irises. Far away he had been beautiful, and up close he was just as breathtaking.
A kind face that ended in a sharp rounded chin with a cute rounded nose, and soft strands of silver hair peeking out from the beret adorning his head. The corners of his lips were slightly tilted up in a nervous smile, twitching as if wanting to break out in a bigger smile. His eyes an odd but endearing combination of authority and playfulness. Even being strangers, you felt an undeniable attraction towards him.
If you thought he was breathtaking, Hongjoong felt like he literally couldn’t breathe right now being this close to you. Even your chapped lips and tired eyes couldn’t do anything in his conclusion that you were absolutely gorgeous. He had never had to control himself to his extent, not when his pack endlessly got on his nerves, right now his hands were itching to reach out and feel you. His wolf racking up a storm making it all the more hard to control himself.
He laughed nervously, shaking his head. “May i sit here?”
You couldn’t help the smile that overtook your face at the high pitched but calming voice that was his. You don’t know what made you abandon your usual shy demeanor scooting over on the small bench to make space with him. “Go ahead, I don’t mind”.
Hongjoong shakily exhaled trying to calm the heat in his face at the sound of your voice, and the feeling of your thighs pressed together. Any worries that had been weighing down at him were forgotten at the comforting scent of your strawberry shampoo.
He turned towards you offering his hand in greeting, “I’m sorry for coming up to you so suddenly and not even introducing myself, I just had to tell you good you are with the piano. I’m Hongjoong '' You giggled quick to wave his worries away by taking his hand, his wolf practically howling in joy at the grin on your face in response to his well-deserved praise.
“It’s alright, but it’s really just a way of making money” You tried shaking off his compliment, and he was having none of it playfully scoffing. He gently bumped his shoulder against yours heart aching when he had to let go of your hand, so he didn’t make you uncomfortable.
“You have to be kidding, you’re a natural” You bumped his shoulder back eyes twinkling with mischievously, “You flatter me too much, I might actually just join the orchestra”
His chest filled with warmth at the playful banter between you, heart practically jumping up his throat when you gasped and took a hold of his arm. “Is that Piazzolla: Libertango by Alison Balsom?” His eyes flickered to the case in his pocket taking it out and showing it to you.
“You like it?” You looked at him, eyes crinkling with awe making his smile grow wider.
“Like it? I love it. You my good sir, have amazing taste” You excitedly bounced in your seat brightly smiling at him. Hongjoong tried shaking his head “I d-don't-” He cut himself off at the sight of your shining eyes and big grin making him swallow harshly at the effect you already had on him.
Maybe classical music wasn’t all that bad.

“So, son,” King James says lightly, leaning back on his chair as Draco, Harry’s personal servant, piles potatoes on Harry’s plate. “When are we going to meet your boyfriend?”
Draco’s hand jerks, sends potatoes flying right into Harry’s lap.
“I’m so sorry, your highness,” he says immediately, cheeks burning red. He cleans them up quickly, along with Harry’s trousers, and Harry clears his throat and looks at his father, no matter how much he wants to comfort Draco.
It’d expose them, most likely. Harry isn’t too worried about what’ll happen to him; He’ll most likely get away unscathed. Draco, in the other hand, will either be exiled or killed for daring to sleep with a prince when he’s just a servant. Harry can’t let that happen.
“Boyfriend?” he asks, taking a sip of his wine.
Draco takes a step back to stand near the wall, along with the other servants. He looks incredibly nervous.
“Don’t think we haven’t noticed you’ve stopped your usual… activities.” His mother says pointedly, referring to Harry’s old habit of sleeping around quite frequently. Until Draco. “So, who is this special person?”
“No one,” Harry says, leaning back. He eats his dinner as casually as possible. “It’s unimportant.”
“Unimportant?” his father repeats. “This could be the next ruler of our kingdom! Of course it’s not unimportant!”
Harry shakes his head. “Unlikely.”
They’ll never let Draco be king.
“Why not?” Lily asks gently.
Out of the corner of his eye, Harry sees one of the kitchen servants shooting Draco a narrow look.
“More wine, Draco.” Harry orders lightly, giving a tiny smile when Draco complies. Draco’s shy returning smile is enough to make the risk worth it.
James shakes his head slightly.
“I told you not to get involved, Harry.” He says. He is an unusually kind king, yes, but even he doesn’t name his servants. They’re too fleeting to get attatched to, he says. Usually, they’re changed often, but Draco’s been Harry’s personal servant since they were both children.
Harry frowns and his hand tightens around his fork.
“What is that supposed to mean?” he asks.
James and his mother look at each other. Harry straightens. Draco stiffens from where he’s back in his place.
“What are you saying?” he asks.
“There’s a person who wants to buy him, sweetheart.” His mother says gently. “Queen Zabini? You know her, remember? You know her son, too. You like them well enough, and they’re kind-”
“Buy him?” Harry repeats, blinking. “Buy him?”
“Yes,” James says lightly, eating his dinner like he isn’t ripping Harry’s heart out with every word he’s saying. “She offered a very generous amount for him being Prince Zabini’s servant-”
“Draco,” Harry interrupts, and Draco flinches, but immediately steps towards him.
“Yes, your highness?” He asks, voice unsteady. Harry can see the way his fingers are twitching against his thigh.
“I’d like to have a bath tonight.” He says, because it’s the only thing he can come up with. “You’re excused to go prepare it. Come get me when it’s ready.”
Draco nods, looking immensely relieved, and he nods quickly, stepping out of the dining room.
James is frowning. “It’s not a big deal, Harry. He’s a servant like any other - Queen Zabini is fair, you know she is.”
“That’s not - that’s not the point.” Harry says. “Draco is my servant - he’s been my servant for years-”
“You always knew this was a possibility,” Lily tells him reasonably. “We told you not to get attatched, sweetheart, since you were a boy-”
“I’m not attatched.” Harry snaps harshly. “It’s - he’s - Zabini only wants him in his bed. I know he does.”
James cocks an eyebrow. “And how is that your business? This boy - what is it that you called him?”
“His name is Draco,” Harry grits, because he didn’t name him. Draco chose his name, and Harry merely agreed to call him by it.
“Yes, yes, that - he’s just another servant, is he not? We’re not selling him to Riddle or someone of the sort, it’s the Zabini’s.”
“I don’t care.” Harry says. “I don’t want to sell him.”
“The next servant will learn whatever it is you like about him,” his mother waves it away. “How to draw a bath, or make your bed, or whatever it is you enjoy-”
“I don’t want to sell him.” Harry repeats firmly. “He’s my servant, and you’ve said it’s important I begin making these sort of decisions. This is my decision, and I am not selling him.”
James frowns. “Harry-”
“The bath is ready.” Says Draco’s voice from the doorway, and Harry stands swiftly. “And if you will excuse me now, I’d like to take a bath.”
Before his parents have the chance to respond, he follows Draco out into the hall.
They don’t talk on their way to his room, and Harry stays tense and silent until he’s in the bath and Draco’s shampooing his hair lightly.
“You’re tense,” he says, moving down to massage Harry’s neck.
“Didn’t you hear that in there?” Harry growls angrily. “Selling you! As if I would! As if you’re not mine!”
Draco’s cheeks turn red, and he looks pleased at the possessiveness in his voice. Then, a frown forms in his face and he moves down to Harry’s shoulders.
“We - we both knew this was a possibility,” he tries to sound relaxed, but Harry can see the way he’s chewing at his lower lip to keep it from trembling. “From the start-”
“Well it’s not,” Harry says. “I don’t care what the Zabinis offered - I don’t care if she’s offered the hand over their bloody kingdom, you’re staying with me.”
A small smile forms in Draco’s face. “Relax, Harry,” he soothes, hands moving down to massage a knot in Harry’s shoulderblade. “It’s alright. I’m not going anywhere.”
Harry turns back to him and rubs at his wrist with his thumb. “You mean that?”
“Of course,” Draco says.
Harry smiles softly. “Get in with me.”
Draco goes red immediately, and he looks around, paranoid, even though the door is locked and there’s no one else in there.
“Harry, we’ll be caught!” he says. “I-”
“C’mon,” Harry murmurs, dragging Draco closer by the back of his neck, pressing his lips against the soft skin of his jaw. “Let me take care of you, for a change.” He wiggles his eyebrows suggestively. “I’ll make it worth your while.”
Draco goes redder - Harry can feel the heat of it against his temple - and he slaps Harry lightly on the shoulder.
“Don’t.” he says, but really, it’s merely out of compromise. “We’ve been too irresponsible lately, Harry - someone’s bound to catch us-”
“Nah, they won’t.” Harry says. “C’mon, it’ll be fine.”
Draco doesn’t really need much convincing. They bathe together - Harry loves the soft feel of Draco’s skin beneath his hands - and then, Harry goes asleep and Draco leaves for the servant dormitories.
When he wakes the next morning and his mother keeps giving him cautious looks, Harry immediately knows something is wrong.
“Where’s Draco?” he asks.
“Sold him to the Zabini’s last night.” His father says, wolfing down his breakfast. “They sent a carriage for him a few hours ago.”
Harry’s blood runs cold.
“What?” he asks.
“A couple hours ago,” His mother says meaningfully. “Two black horses, pulling a green and silver carriage. They were going pretty slowly.”
Harry blinks at her. Lily rolls her eyes.
“James, dear, will you tell teh servants to make my eggs now, please?” She says. “I’m getting hungry.”
James nods and makes his way to the kitchen, and Lily turns her sharp glare on her son.
“Harry James Potter you go get that boy right now, or I will personally smack you!”
“Excuse me?” Harry says.
She huffs. “Your father might not have noticed, but do not think for a second that you can fool me. I know you’re in love with him, I’m not blind. Your father - no one in the kingdom will allow it, but - if you run away-” she slides a set of keys over. “And conviniently stay in our lake house, no one needs to know.”
Harry thinks his mouth might be hanging open.
“I’ll visit in a few weeks, with your father.” she says. “Once I get it through his head. But you need to leave, now.”
Harry takes the keys, and takes his horse - Hedwig, a gorgeous white mare - and gallops at full speed towards Zabini’s kingdom. It takes him over an hour to catch up with the carriage, but once he does, he orders the driver to stop and opens the door.
Draco’s inside, curled into his seat, asleep.
Harry shakes his shoulder lightly, and Draco’s eyes open.
“Harry?” he blinks blearily. He blinks again and then straightens, beaming. He pulls Harry into a deep kiss, pulls away breathing hard. “Harry? You’re here? What happened? What’s going on-”
“We’re running away,” Harry says, pulling at his wrist lightly. “To the lake house- we can be together, finally, and-”
“You mean it?” Draco asks excitedly. “We won’t have to hide anymore?”
“I mean it,” Harry says. “No hiding. We can do anything we want to. Hold hands, kiss in the living room, swim in the lake. Get married.”
Draco grins. “I’ll hold you to that, Harry James Potter.”
“You better, Draco soon-to-be-Potter.”
They kiss again.
