Hello can i ask your opinion using ai for writing smut? In this case,i'm the one who have prompt but cant write it beautifuly so i just type "he met her in the night" and the ai re tell it with more settings and expression ,do you think thats appropriate or not? Tysm 🙏🏼

Okay, use of AI to add to your original ideas and works is not a bad idea. I think that you can definitely use AI to improve on something you originally produce—it's not using AI to do the work *for you*, it's using the AI to do the work *with you*. You put in effort to actually write something, and then pass it on to AI to sort of, beautify it, which I think is a fair use of it.

My issue would be if you asked the AI to do the work and then you copy it wholesale and call yourself a "writer" because you know how to prompt engineer ChatGPT or Novel.AI or whatever. It cheapens the work we do and pretty much pushes us towards an early retirement. What you're saying doesn't seem to be this, so that's fine. Besides, anyone with reading comprehension and common sense can tell when this happens.

In any case, some writers here have used AI for their works here as well—I think they generate a paragraph or two to edit and work off as a base? Something like that. That's fine by me. Ask a few others though! There's a lot more opinions you might be interested in.

Hi new to tumblr. AM obsessed. Any tags I should look for? I have fun generating ai art on Novel.ai at the moment. I haven't been doing it too long, but I also don't mind a fucked up digit, or 3. Or arm, maybe. I really don't care. Livin' my best life out here and I get what I pay for like wacky eyebrows or whatever is going on with the shoulder in the last pic. I usually try to fix everything but some just don't seem to want to be fixed.

Dont beat yourself up when you dont have time or motivation or energy, just go at things with your own pace

If its really bad and you cant even muster up a single thought, go read your past writing or other peoples writing, write some quick headcannons or drabbles OR, and please guys dont cancel me for this, use a writing ai to give you some ideas

I used one called novel.ai, its kinda corny and sometimes sentences can be repetitive or not really make sense, but i find that if im stuck on a sentence or paragraph, i throw what i have in the ai and see what it would write next, then fix it to my taste and usually that helps with the writers block, if i hit another block, rinse and repeat

I dont agree with using pure ai writing bc thats straight up cheating 😭 but i personally think its fine if its just for motivation purposes to see where your story can go in terms of what to write next

I specifically use novel.ai bc its one of the only ai writing tools that uses and allows smut

Hrm... I don't really know what the most common writing tips are but I know there's a tip for visual art that I always heard a lot: practice often! So, with writing, I try to write often (though sometimes life and writer's block gets in the way) I feel the more you write, the more you learn and the better you get.

17. What do you do when writing becomes difficult? (maybe a lack of inspiration or writers block)

Well, usually what I would do in the past was just put it down and return whenever I felt ready (but sometimes that would lead to unfinished fics). But I started sharing my fics with a mutual on tumblr a while ago and I ask what they would like to see or maybe if they have any suggestions (though, I don't always listen haha) So recently (like I'm talking a week ago), I've taken to a writing AI program called Novel.AI whenever I hit a road bump. I personally hate using AI for my fanfiction (And I never use it for my art) , so I only use it for little things. If I need something minor, I'll plug some text into Novel.AI. Though, I never copy and paste what the bot says. I usually generate a few responses to get some ideas and then write something based off the inspo it gave me.

So, I guess you could say it generates prompts for me when my editor friend isn't around to look over my work.

26. Which of your fics would you call your wildest ride?

My wildest ride was probablyyyy A Thing or Two purely because I was very stressed about that fic and how it would be received. I was scared a lot of people would unfollow me or leave nasty comments because, well, it's a threesome involving Ace and Luffy and I know people can have strong feelings about that (which I totally understand!)

Though, if you mean a wild ride in a good way (not to say I didn't enjoy writing the previous fic), definitely If Only You Knew (which was only released on my ao3!) This fic was definitely very self-indulgent for me and I had to put it down several times while writing because I got too flustered haha

sucks that ai models take up so much power bc stuff like ai dungeon and novel.ai those little like text adventure games are a fun and unique kinda experience. not about to use as much water or electricity as a small country to do it tho.

Anyway I've gone into a world building bender, trying to find a site to use to organize everything. So far I've settled on novel.ai I think, but I'm wishing I could combine novel.ai templates with the branching format (aka connecting things visually like a red-string murder board) of obsidian. Like I dunno I feel like that would be bitchin' you know?

Honestly it's pretty intuative! As long as you use it and don't get too specific with it it can usually spit out something real cute!
