Spoilers for the newest episode of the Owl House

Okay okay okay okay listen I need to talk about this. I cannot stop thinking about Luz’s reaction to learning that Belos was Phillip. Like, most of the fandom was certain of it already, but it was clear that in universe the characters weren’t. Except, I can’t help but wonder if maybe Luz *did* suspect it, and just didn’t want it to be true.

As she slowly comes to the relauzation, she continues to repeat the word “no” over and over again before saying this:

“You’re Belos! You’re just Belos!”

Which is followed up with this after he asks her to call him by his true name:

“I… Can’t.”

It’s those first two lines in particular that gets to me. Luz desperately wants Belos to just be Belos, not Phillip, not human. It makes me wonder if maybe she did see some of the signs but didn’t or couldn’t believe it. Phillip was her only link to her home, the only other human that she knew had been on the Isles and had tried to create a portal. Even after learning how awful he was, maybe she still wanted to believe that he wasn’t that terrible, because she technically was connected to him in a way no one else could be.

I dunno I’m just speculating at this point, but I think this scene is super interesting and compelling.

Not a perfect illustration, I'm still figuring this program out, but I tried out cel shading and inking in Clip Studio Paint for the first time yesterday and I love it so far. Reason and short story as to why I'm switching to this program under the cut.

I... was using Photoshop for the longest time, but it would always crash my laptop. Always. I tried to figure out why, and I figured it out. Turns out that it's the ONLY thing that can be running on my laptop for it not to crash. On top of me working on multiple creative projects, this is also why it's taken me so long to make art posts.

I was getting sick of the hassle of working around this, so I decided to boot up my old version of CSP Pro I got for free a few years ago, which led me to making this test.

I'm very quickly getting used to this program and having more fun drawing digitally than I have in a long time. So, thank you to my friends on discord who suggested I switch to CSP.

The grimwalkers, if im correct, are made to replace Caleb/William Wittebane. In a wat to bring him back to life, but more obedient.
