introducing a new oc, jeff kovo! below is his backstory!
he starts out as a padawan (his master is a nothoiin woman named halo atona) and the both of them are rescued during order 66 by constantine and veraa. during this, they got separated from halo, so they took jeff under their wing from 19 BBY to 17 BBY.
during this time period, they taught him their own skills (con teaches him how to fly a ship, veraa teaches him spy work, and both teach him combat/shooting skills) so he could protect himself without jedi abilities and keep his identity hidden.
of course, con and veraa start to see him as a son (and he in turn sees them as the parents he never got to grow up with) but by 17 BBY, con gets in trouble with the empire and gets a bounty put on him (the one that makes qorbin kovani follow him to tatooine in the marshal's tale). to protect jeff since he's a jedi, con and veraa found the hidden path and sent jeff off there to find his master. veraa cut a part of her golden shawl and gave it to him as it is made of the blaster-proof karlini silk (which is why she ties it up at the back)
years later when he's an adult, jeff used the skills con and veraa taught him and chose to become a jedi mercenary, taking on jobs to survive and protect the little people. many of his jobs revolved around handling criminals or protecting small towns.

Get to know your author asks - 1, 7, 25
send an ask: get to know your author
1) is there a story you’re holding off on writing for some reason?
SO MANY.
7) when asked, are you embarrassed or enthusiastic to tell people that you write?
Mmm depends on the person. Sometimes I'm enthusiastic, but sometimes it's more... reluctant than embarrassed. It's a very personal thing in some ways; it's not embarrassing, but it's also not something I want, like, coworkers knowing about.
25) copy/paste a few sentences or a short paragraph that you’re particularly proud of
This is always the hardest question for me orz...
Okay this is from something that hasn't been published yet but I am proud of it because it took several hours of research to piece together:
“Make it onto Shiritoku, get to Cerea. Transfer to the Great Gran Run, follow to Kinyen. CTS to Foless, hop on Shipwright’s Trace to Allanteen, then a straight shot up the Corellian Run to the Arkanis sector, and then we just take Triellus Trade the rest of the way,” Anakin rattles off. “After we hit Cerea, Great Gran is the smallest, and even that’s a pretty sizeable intersector lane.” “And the Rim?” “Cerean Reach to… Lutrillia, technically, but it’s a short hop up the Koda Spur to Mijos and CTS Gerrenthum, that’s the whole point of the Lutrillian Cross… um, Gerrenthum puts us on the Nothoiin Corridor, and we take that to Eriadu. Eriadu Way merges into the Hydian, right in time for us to hit Darkknell, hang right to get onto Duros Space Run, take that to Enarc and switch to Triellus; then it’s a straight shot to Tatooine.”

Concept art by Christian Alzmann, The Mandalorian, Season 2, Episode 4, The Siege
Cara Dune had explained what happened down in the abandoned covert. How she had found people stashing their loot and trying to steal what the Mandalorians had left behind. She’d put an end to that and Grogu was grateful.
The only thing he was surprised about when she told him the story of how she ended up with that critter was the Armorer had left anything of value down there to begin with. He knew that the Imps had tried to overrun the place, but it had been pretty clear that they were no match for the Armorer. She had kicked their butts and gave them the opportunity to escape.
Grogu wondered where she went after that. Did she know another safe place where the other Mandalorians went? Did she just have to guess? That seemed silly. Grogu couldn’t imagine her ever guessing about anything in her whole life. Everything he’d seen and heard about the Armorer suggested that she knew exactly what she was about.
Which was just a little scary. The only other person Grogu recalled meeting who was that self-confident was Master Yoda. He had acquired that confidence over a lifetime of service. A long lifetime. He was nine hundred years old when he became one with the Force. Grogu didn’t think that the Armorer was anywhere near that old.
First her voice sounded much younger than Master Yoda’s. Grogu didn’t know if that was just the difference between species or not. He wasn’t sure he knew what species the Armorer was. Oh sure, all the Mandalorians he’d met so far had been human, but did that mean you could only be a Mandalorian if you were a human? He was a Mandalorian foundling and he wasn’t human.
But if the Armorer wasn’t exactly a human, what would she be that so close to human that you couldn’t tell? Her helmet certainly hid her face, and he’d never seen her hands either, but what did that really mean?
She wasn’t a Twi’lek, that was for sure. He couldn’t imagine anyone stuffing their lekku under a Mandalorian helmet. Not a Togruta either, for the same kind of reason. Probably not an Aqualish, or Bith, or Iktotchi, or Falleen, or Ithorian or, well the list is a lot longer than Grogu had even thought about.
But what could she be, if she wasn’t a human? Maybe she was a Zeltron. They looked human except for the red skin thing. Zeltron’s were also supposed to smell friendly. Grogu hadn’t noticed that about the Armorer. She didn’t really smell one way or the other to Grogu, but he didn’t just think ‘Oh, this person is so friendly. I want to be friendly with them too.’ Nope. She was kind of scary and very stern. So not Zeltron.
How about Pantoran? They were mostly human except for their blue skin. Normal hair, fingers, etc. That was a possibility. As was Nothoiin. Only their skin was golden. As was Mirialan. There was a lot of skin color variation, but that was it. Or Dathomirian. But that seemed like a stretch. Not that the armor wouldn’t hide most differences easily, but would a Dathomirian really end up as a Mandalorian foundling?
And, Grogu had to note, the Armorer’s helmet did have those tiny horns that were like the ones some Dathomirian males had and Zabraks had in general. She had seemed to understand the Force and considered the Jedi enemies. That wasn’t an attitude exclusive to Mandalorians. A lot of other Force users weren’t fond of Jedi and the Nightsisters from Dathomir were among them. Hmmm.
Grogu wondered if he should ask his dad? Maybe Din Djarin just knew that she was human and all of Grogu’s speculations were just him being silly. Or maybe the bounty hunter didn’t know. After all, their Tribe was the one that followed the old Creed of the Mand’alor rigorously. No way had Din Djarin ever seen the Armorer’s face.
When his dad took his helmet off so Grogu could see his face, Din Djarin had gotten into all sorts of trouble. Grogu was sorry about that, in that sorry, not sorry way that he’d often felt when he and Ian were getting into trouble at the Jedi Temple. Yes, rules were broken, but for good reasons. At least for reasons they thought were good. Grogu was glad that his dad thought that saying goodbye to him was a good reason.
He wondered what good reason the Armorer would ever have for showing her face? Given all they’d been through lately, he doubted that reason even existed. Maybe that was for the best. Some questions may have an answer, but that didn’t mean that he needed to know it. Like he never needed to know where dung worms came from. Grogu was just happy to see them in the bowl when the Mandalorian brought him his lunch. He just needed to trust in the Force, because that was his way.

well, i started playing with this in the tags but it got too long for the tags, so:
this makes me want to figure out what needs to be shifted to get all three of them on hmmm dathomir c. grievous's attack on it. for me, it would end up with:
asajj deciding not to sic savage on dooku to try and kill him that way but still doing something that ticks sidious off enough that he orders dooku to dathomir to deal with the nightsisters personally. possibly pulling the 'enemy of my enemy is my friend (that i really like to piss off)' by getting an encrypted message to obi-wan about how she would very much like to help off her former master.
talzin sending savage and feral (alive, without the selection) to lotho minor to get maul, which was a time, let me feral tell you, because you try handling your older half-mechanical-spider brother who's communicating only via sith platitudes and trying to wander off to find some 'ken' person.
savage, feral, and maul managing to get back to dathomir (o6 on the galactic grid) from lotho minor (i17). there's no route down the western half of the galaxy*, so they have to take the lutrillian cross to gerrenthum, switch to the nothoiin corridor until they get to eriadu, where they can finally get on the hydian and take that all the way home (instead of switching to the corellian trade spine at gerrenthum, the correllian run at corellia, pulling up literally on sidious's doorstop when it ends at coruscant, getting on the perlemian trade route, and then finally on the hydian. because managing to hit 4/5 of the major hyperspace lanes in one trip is not going to happen while feral's navigating or he's going to lock someone up in the airlock. he's piloting because savage is trying to sit on maul to calm him down).
obi-wan & anakin having just touched down on dathomir after following the trail from stobar space station (because ahsoka has a serious exam in theosophy or something, instead of being with anakin like in the original timeline) and because asajj is just 'i'm not speaking to skywalker' so obi-wan has to be there.
grievous catching a computer virus from some oddly intact b1s his ship picked up after a battle and is now not able to participate.
* maz katana ain't no snitch so there's no way the opress bros know about burke's trailing. sure, the chiss have their own way of getting from csilla to batuu but they're also not telling anyone.
Do Maul and Anakin ever meet? They don't, do they?
Palatine moving pieces so that the two are never on the same side of the galaxy at the same time. Makes an error one day and the two get into a fight.
Anakin: (mostly focused on the fact Maul killed Qui-Gon)
Maul: (about to spill all the tea on Palpatine.)
Palpatine sweating like oh no the ex and the girlfriend are meeting.
Dooku the current wife being like: ... Wait should I be in that conversation?

SO HEY, the Angels’ group has gotten super big since it first started, to the point where we’re well past 100 characters, and I fUCKING LOVE THAT. Still, it’s been a while since I’ve made any new guys for myself, so I thought I’d knock out some new designs I’ve been wanting to make! From left to right, we’ve got Illyinis “Raquor’daan” I’dhako, Issharra & Auzituck, Hao Hok, DEV-49TK & Talo’wao’Tuessan, Roghas Bromnoct, Lorz & Vaaric Sornell, and Sev’ida’loro! So many new friends!!! :D
These guys were all super fun to design, and I’m super excited to develop them further! What do you guys think, though? Are they cool? Do any stand out that you’d wanna hear more about? Am I an absolute madman for making ten new characters at once? Let me have any feedback you’ve got! :D
Just like the last two times I made new Angels, little blurbs about each one’s backstory will be below the cut:
Illyinis I’dhako (better known by his criminal alias Raquor’daan) is the leader of a small criminal empire, operating out of the planet Kelada and tackling trades such as money laundering, imports & exports, gunrunning, and more. For most of his life he was happy with fighting for himself, but following the Battle of Montellian Serat and its subsequent massacre, he thought it best to divert his wealth and manpower to the Angels’ greater cause. He’s suave, charismatic, and just a bit too into himself, but as much as he loves being the King of Kelada, Devaron will always be closer to his heart than anything.
Issharra & Auzituck are two adopted sisters from Kashyyyk, both working with the Angels’ Abbadon squadron. Issharra, a kybuck-riding warrior, and Auzituck, a weapons expert and all-around sweetheart, admittedly don’t have too much of a stake in Devaron’s freedom, but the Angels promised to help Issharra (who was born a Devaronian) learn more about her origins, so the sisters are happy helping their new friends out along the way.
Side Note: Auzituck is based on adopt I got from @deer-head-xiris‘s Wookiee adopt set. Thank you again for that, Nat! :D
Hao Hok is one of the Angels’ best swoop pilots, which is due as much to her custom-built superbike Laquasa as to her years of experience as a pilot. Originally one of the pre-Serat Angels, she left the cell for a period of time to join Enfys Nest’s Cloud-Riders, only to re-join a short time after the massacre. Fierce, strong-willed, and a revolutionary in every sense of the word, Hao is committed to seeing her planet become not just free, but the best it can possibly be—and if that means cutting up a few Imperials along the way, so be it.
Talo’wao’Tuessan (better known by her nickname TT) is a soldier in the Devaronian Army, though she’s best known for being a gifted Droid technician. She and her current passion project (a heavily-modified battle droid known as DEV-49TK (or TK for short)) both followed General Markhor’sai’Malloc when he defected to the Angels, and they now fight alongside the cell, lending both their strength and their technical prowess to the revolution.
Side Note: TT is based off an adopt I got from @gloamingchild, whom I absolutely Adore and you should all go check them out, their art and their OCs are some of my favorites.
Roghas Bromnoct is an assassin, operating out of the Angels’ secluded auxiliary base deep in Montellian Serat. An expert assassin and free-runner, Roghas puts his skills to use collecting information, putting down targets, and stirring up the citizens of Serat, all before hopping up onto a fire escape and running off into the dark of the city.
Lorz & Vaaric Sornell are two half-brothers and members of the Mandalorian Clan Sornell. Lorz (a gladiator) and Vaaric (a pilot/bounty hunter) both followed their second cousin Kobelka when she joined the Angels, and they now lend both their strength and their cunning to the fight for Devaron, so that maybe one day, their family won’t have to live on an island in a sea of lava. Because that mostly sucks.
Sev’ida’loro (Vidal for short) is the Angels’ bookkeeper, in charge of not just managing their finances, but a large portion of their intel as well. A former agent of the Chiss Ascendancy, she joined the Angels after her son, Oni, insisted she follow him to the side of the rebels, so that she could at least have a roof over her head and a bed to sleep in. Now, she’s grown to view Devaron as her home, and though she’s not a fighter by nature, she’ll do whatever she can to help it.
Side Note: Vidal is also based on an adopt I got from @deer-head-xiris, out of their Chiss adopt set. Again, go check them out if you haven’t before, their art’s awesome :D

What's your boyfriends name? Is he cute?
That’s out of the question, of course he is cute.
His name is Steed.. he’s from the Anoat Sector, more specifically from the moon Aurum, colonized by the Nothoiins some several thousand years ago. If I had to estimate I’d say around the same time as the fall of the Old Republic and the Mandalorian-Jedi War.
The people from his planet are generally Nothoiin-human hybrids. They appear to maintain some semblance of the golden coloring their colonial ancestors possessed, however it’s much more subtle. They also appear to be taller and have naturally muscular builds. Steed is around 193 cm.. he’s slightly taller than Crosshair!
I’m not allowed to disclose much information on his family or how we came into contact though.. there are some rules we cannot ignore. The senate is currently working through the legality of this matter; generally, Republic property does not interact or date the sons of separatist senators.
Anyways.
He’s lovely in every possible way. Crosshair and Hunter are still warming up to him but he’s much more supportive of us, and of me, than my previous partner was. He also is incredibly intelligent, I’ve never been the philosophical type, but I find having such conversations with him to be quite meaningful. He’s very considerate in what I have to say.

Star Wars Vignette #1
Kye Sando tapped the console blithely, and the Diamond Soul practically landed itself. "Upgrading was the best thing ever, right C1BN? Our last whip couldn't do this."
Bloo-bleep! the little droid replied, the sound oddly sardonic if Kye cared to analyse it. Only after the ship had landed did the droid retract his scomp link. Humans really had no idea how much droids did for them, did they?
Kye chucked the small black holoprojector up above her head, caught it, and did it again. Was it stupid to handle the already broken device in this way? Maybe, but what could it hurt? If Launoo Fulto could fit a new battery into the obsolete tech, then he could surely fix a chip or a knocked-out wire or too. But just in case, to stop herself from fiddling any further, she popped the small round disc in her utility belt and took her feet off the dash. "Well, come on. Time's a-wasting."
They left the Diamond Soul behind, Kye's eyes sliding off it reluctantly as she left it to the care of the dock droids. Her brand new YT-2400 light freighter was a far cry from her last ship, and it was all hers. All right, so maybe Milli the Hutt would have something different to say about that, but on this side of the galaxy? No worries!
C1BN's two receivers flicked back and forth like little triangular ears as he rolled along by her ankle. His singular blue light, like an eye, glowed with only slight diminishment with each second's pulse. The crowds were not thick here on this part of Hosnian Prime, so Kye swaggered with confidence, not keeping her hands on her pockets as she migh have to on Nar Shadaa. "We're all coming up, C1. Us and the Diamond Soul, Launoo getting a shop here instead of that backwater... what was it called again, Tatty... Tater... ah, whatever. Here we are."
"Sando!" Launoo cried out, his usually grim Iktochan face cracking in a brief grin, accompanied by an upwards nod. He opened his arms and they shared a brief hug in greeting, the rough sort of hug that their gang used to share when they were all hopeless urchins back in the day.
"Yikes, Launoo, you wanna file those horns down again, they're getting long. You nearly took my eye out."
"You're just jealous. Anyways, whatcha got for me?"
"Can't a girl just catch up with an old friend?"
"Of course, Sando. Now, whatcha got?"
She prised the little black device from the pocket where it only just fit. "One of these."
"Gee, what are you, an antique hunter now? How'd you come by this?"
"It got delivered to me by C1BN here, but he can't play it."
The Iktochi gave the droid a quick affectionate rub, eliciting a purr of ascending tones from him. "And you haven't been able to get anything out of him, regarding his origins?"
"Nope. Memory seems to be wiped, except for the order to find me. Go figure."
"All right, well..." He poked and pried at the plastic disc, then took a screwdriver to the battery compartment. "First things first, probably just needs a new battery. I should have one just around..." He vanished into the shelves of his cramped little shop, pulled open a number of jumbled drawers, and took out a number of small cylinders, crystals and other bits and pieces, trying them out for size. "All right... let's try this now."
He replaced the cover and flipped the device, placing it on the table between them. Kye pressed the single button on the side, and suddenly the old tech flickered into life, blue luminescence creating the image of a tall, thin golden skinned woman clad in white, platinum hair cascading from her hood. "This is a message for Kye Sando. My name is Vivi, and I am a priestess serving in the hidden Jedi temple on the crystal moon of Nothoiin. I am a seer here, and the Force has informed me of your existence. I know this might be hard to hear, with the Empire hunting down Jedis right now, but you have the potential, Kye. Please, come see me before it is too late. The Force will guide you here. I'm giving you this droid, C1BN, to help you find your way. Please, hurry."
Kye snatched the disc up, and turned the hologram off. She tried to smile at Launoo, and he tried to smile back. "Pfft... some kinda practical joke," she said.
"Yeah..."
"I know that woman, she's a friend. A performer, on Nar Shadaa. She's just having a bit of fun. Roleplay. She's not serious."
"Sure, kiddo."
"Thanks for the battery, Launoo. What do I owe you?"
"Oh, nothing."
"All right, well, I guess I'll owe you one in the future instead. You take care now."
"You too."
He was reaching for his cloak already, and Kye could see the intent in his eyes. She could just shoot him here, she realised, but another part of her wasn't sure she could do that to an old friend. Then again, what was her old friend about to do to her?
As soon as she had lost sight of him, she ran for the starport. C1BN wasn't so chirpy anymore.

*Shriv's brother Raid is by far the biggest, but there are two others that nearly match his size, and then seven more total for a final number of ten male siblings, two of which are not present he has learned from Nia. One sister is also with her own family, so that leaves twelve total within the house somewhere. Four sisters, and eight brothers - and Nia herself plans to join with Luni and her husband, Munter.
Shriv has sixteen hatch mates all together. Hate is a very strong word, and he could never use it here - that word is redirected inward, towards himself on most occasions, and especially after coming in direct contact with someone like Raid for too long.
Shriv has his hands wrapped around Raid's beefy arm. He's not choking him per se, but it almost feels that way. He taps on his bicep.* R-Raid ... too... too tight.
*Raid only lets up because the stranger standing behind Shriv addresses him. The lock he has on his brother releases. Raid squares up with Cad. He is centimeters away with bumping against his chest in a show of dominance.*
"What did you ssay, pussy cat?"
*He is obviously making fun of the hood. One hand lifts, it appears he might try to take Cad by the shoulder, however the shrill voice of a female Duros is heard, interrupting the entire scene.*
"Ssshriiiiiv Sssuurgav!! You have come to ssseee me?!?"
*An elegant, deep azure Duros steps forward. Her eyes are bright yellow. Her features are thin, angular, and feminine. She wears a shimmery dress in white spun gold along with a matching shawl of lace, and an intricate headband, woven with jewels that look like ur-diamonds mined on the moon of Nothoiin. Her arms raise; she cups Shriv's cheeks in both her hands. She rubs her rostrum to his and presses her forehead against him as she spits out words and curses in Durese.*
"My babyyy, you have returned to me at lassst! Did you finally leave that nassssty Rebellion behind? Where isss that Calrisssian?"
--Uh.
*Her attention wanes. She keeps her hands on Shriv's face however, her alluring eyes gazing in the direction of Bane. She releases Shriv to weave her arm between his elbow and hip. She drags him forward. Raid steps out of the way, feeling scolded as she ignores him. She tugs Shriv to her body - she is almost Shriv's same height, maybe an inch shorter. She stares Cad in his eyes.*
"And who iss thisss handssssome Durosss with the earssss?"
*She gives him her best smile, the points of dual fangs peeking out beneath her upper lip. And she has lips. They are plush for a Duros - she has painted them a dark shade of red, complimenting both her scale color and her golden eyes.*
*His brows climb up his forehead as @one-desperate-duros leads him to an enormous mansion, showing a kind of wealth that Bane has seen with more than a few benefactors.
Bane follows Suurgav through the gate, noting with a detached focus all the visible ins-and-outs of the various balconies and windows he can see. He may be a bounty hunter, but he’d been hired for a variety of jobs, including a few heists. One can always find work from petty, bored, and wealthy clients with a vendetta against their equally-wealthy neighbor.
Suurgav’s fingertips brush against his, and Bane’s own hand follows the touch when he pulls away. He returns his hand to his side when the doorbell is rung, and as soon as the door opens to reveal the large Duros behind it, Bane’s eyes narrow.
Within seconds Bane is fighting his own desire to pry off the Duros, whose name is apparently Raid, and break his fingers one-by-one, nice and slow so he can enjoy each crack.
But Bane does not do this, because that would put a hydrospanner in the whole affair, so he decides to wait. And bide his time. If there’s one thing Bane has, it’s heaps of patience when in pursuit of a target.
For now, Bane’s going to draw his attention away from Suurgav, right to where he wants it: on Bane himself.
Bane looks down at his curled fingers in the same way humans check their fingernails when being dismissive, giving the impression that the bigger Duros is beneath Bane’s attention*
Here I thought someone important would greet us. Why don’ ye go fetch yer mama for us, son? The sun’s settin’, and I’d hate for her guests to catch cold.

NAME: Orville REDACTED HOME PLANET: Grange SPECIES: Human-Cyborg OCCUPATION: Rogue Pilot/Escapee/Unemployed ALLIANCE: Himself. He only trusts and cares about himself now. He use to be with the Separatists and the CIS when he worked for them, but now he could not give two shits. Maybe he could be swayed to join the Galactic Republic, but he honestly is just trying to find a way to survive without being seen. Sucks for him that the place he snuck onto was filled to the brim with Senators and Queens/Kings/Princes/Princesses that deal with the very things he was trying to get away from. TITLE(S) IF ANY: Formerly - Captain WEAPON OF CHOICE: Blaster, but right now his cybernetic right arm could probably do some damage. A LONG, LONG TIME AGO… :
Orville enlisted into the Confederacy of Independent System’s Navy as soon as he turned of age. He was a kid with a dream to become a pilot among the stars ever since he and his brother had gotten their own airspeeder and could fly around to their hearts desires. But Orville had always wanted more. He wanted to join those in the larger ships that could break out of the planets atmosphere and go from sector to sector. He wanted to fly, and when he saw the opportunity he took it. No questions asked.
He didn’t see the problems of the operation until years down the line when he was held at blaster point, being told he needed to kill a young Nothoiin for having been a witness they couldn’t leave alive. Instead of killing the child, he killed his Commodore and tried to make a run for it. But the rest of the Flight crew kept him, and brought him in as a defect. The people he had once called a family had turned his back on him, and all of a sudden the truth behind the people he worked for smacked him right in the face.
Originally he thought he was going to be killed, but instead he was used for other uses. Tests, questioning, trying to see what could be done to keep others in the Navy from doing the same. And then they started to try to figure out a way to get Orville back. He had been showing promise, after all, and such a valuable asset to their efforts to be killed seemed wasteful. They began their experiments, and one day Orville woke up with a cybernetic arm and leg.
The only thing they hadn’t been expecting it to be so successful. Orville was able to escape in a ship with hyperdrive capabilities and never looked back. When he exited hyperspace he found himself within distance of Coruscant, and landed, leaving the ship to the docks and taking off to the next one as the search team sent after him came looking for it. He took a job as a server for a large ship, and hopes no one will find him.
