Q: What is "Piki.exe"? A: It is my own personal story involving my Vocaloid and SynthV banks, mainly Piko x Miki and V_Flower x Fukase. I will not monetise the series because of the toxic western fandom and the effort it takes to get the rights, so bits and pieces of its lore and storyline will be shown in talkloids between covers. "Piki.exe" refers to the software installed into Piko and Miki once they traded their humanity for a cyborg body. It is the "soulmate software" created by their company HEARTFAST in which they need to overcome and remove in order to learn what true love means to them. Friendly reminder that this series is not yet rated. This may change with time! No, this is not shit posting, it is basically an alternate universe fan fiction, however there will be bloopers.

If I am under any suspicion that you will blatantly mock or disrespect me or share explicit materials to minors then I will not sell to you. That said, I do understand 1,000% enforcement is unreasonable online, people will undoubtedly pirate tuning files anyway, so my works that I own will have a high paywall and require credit upon use. Once it's out there, it's out there; the internet will outlive me and I honestly just care for respect while I'm still breathing. Nothing is copyrighted as of yet but that may happen in the future. Hello murfeel, I don't know if anyone ask you this before but what do you think about the news of sims 5 being planned by ea?

Hi! I see we're starting 2023 on a positive note, getting me triggered by EA's shenanigans! 🤣

Yeah, so far I've only commented briefly about TS5 in this post, when EA did that stupid Summit thing where they showed off how much they're trying to one-up Paralives. 🙄 OOoOoo~! They're bringing the color wheel back after swearing on a stack of bibles that CASt was the worst feature in TS3 and TS4 didn't need it and their wacka** LACK of customization was the FUTURE of gaming--zomg lemme get my wallet ready~~! 🤡

Like, EA, everyone knows you're good at Build/Buy mode and CAS--people don't call TS4 a DOLLHOUSE SIMULATOR for nothing. But where is the EFFING GAMEPLAY? I feel the same way about Paralives--I don't need to see anymore of their builds or Paras--I want to follow sims INSIDE their places of work and school (no more EFFING rabbitholes); and see how they act come rain, snow or shine; and I want pets aside from just cats & dogs and RODENTS EA. And different cultural representation, so it's not the same generic American suburban cookie-cutter crap all the time--give me simulated life of the islands, the tundras, the equator, the poles, the Nth/Est/Sth/Wst hemispheres, the cities, the farms, the jungles, the corporate ladder, off the grid--in fully fleshed out EXPANSIONS with living breathing WORLDS, not watered down Game Packs, for crying out loud. Do y'all even remember what Expansion Packs are, EA? If only every pack was given HALF the content and attention to detail that Seasons always gets! It's a sad state of affairs when the best pack y'all ever released was for VAMPIRES. 🤦‍♀️

I get stomach ulcers every time I hear about how people spent over a THOUSAND DOLLARS on TS4 and are clamoring for the torture to be over already so TS5 can hurry up and screw them over instead. The biggest complaint simmers have been screaming at EA about is how dang BORING TS4 is, because

the game is too easy, and people have to cheat to make the game HARDER wtf

the game is too buggy and none of the fancy "features" effing WORK, releasing ENTIRE PACKS BROKEN, with patches that make everything worse

the features TS4 does have that actually work are shallow AF and a lot of them are repetitive/redundant or they don't carry over to other EPs/GPs/SPs to make the gameplay deeper and richer you had one job EA

TS4's worlds are too small and we don't even have CAW, but EA promised us that smaller non-open worlds with no CASt and no Story Progression would make TS4 run so much smoother than TS3--gosh golly, now if only my save would stop laaaaaaagging 😩

where are the skills where are the careers where are the hobbies other than streaming/blogging where are the NPCs where ar--

the sims' emotions & action queues are out of control, but the EMOTIONS were the MAIN thing the dev's pitched when TS4 was announced over a decade ago; why are my sims acting like crack heads when you said they'd be so much smarter?

the kids are totally ignored, where the teens are basically young adults with curfews--but zoinks! they're finally going to update the bassinet-babies after TEN YEARS so the legacy players can actually PLAY WITH LIFE and interact with babies! Maybe if we're lucky, they'll patch in some frikkin preteens so the life states in a life simulation game actually make sense!

Look at everything Sims Freeplay has--it's monetized to hell and back, but at least they have COOL stuff! WHERE IS IT in TS4? Will that stuff be in basegame TS5???? EVER? Or will EA just keep showing us how many throw pillows we can rotate on couches in rooms full of clutter that aren't even interactive objects? 🙃 Paralives has Paras ziplining off of rooftops into their pool--will basegame TS5 even launch with pools and swimmable water, or will that feature be locked off behind another lukewarm paywalled EP where you can only ever swim in ONE (1) world? 🏝 And now that EA making basegame TS4 free to play, they have carte blanche to microtransaction people to death with useless Kits full of DECOR and mess in TS5, too, huzzah!

And they keep bringing up MULTIPLAYER--THEY BETTER NOT. 💀

GOD, I hope the TS4 simmers go off on EA and tell them that TS5 CANNOT be TS4 2.0. Don't have EA walking around thinking TS4 was the right way to do life simulation gaming. TS4's enormous player base means diddly squat if people don't play the game to PLAY the GAME, only using it as the base for their Blender renders -- quantity does NOT equal quality, EA!

I'm not even staying on top of TS5 news anymore, listening to Lindsay Pearson lie to my frikkin face; promising me the moon only to have it turn out to be made of government cheese. The proof is gonna be in the pudding once the game actually LAUNCHES in a zillion years; I refuse to get hyped.

But I am PRAYING EA does TS5 right. Or at least that they make something better than TS4--it's a low bar, I know, but baby steps. Believe it or not, but I'd actually like to play a sims game that isn't TS3 sometime this decade. 🙏 TS4 had so many red flags; everyone knew it was a mobile game port, we're not THAT dumb, EA. Plus, TS4 was just too effing ugly for me. I hate the cartoony playdough look, and the lack of CASt and customization was an IMMEDIATE dealbreaker; so at least EA learned ONE lesson in all this time. *slow claps* Now we just have to see what they'll do about the actual GAME, the part that MATTERS.

Lemme stop, before I pop a blood vessel.

Wake me up when TS5 has more gameplay than Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley.

While I agree with you I just gotta say.. it isn’t actually gonna be free, just because we get to play the demo freely (a peak to buyers of how the final product is gonna be) doesn’t meant you are not going to charge for the whole game and books in your case.

Not only the interactive fiction give their player a bit of the content free and if you search for those game, they usual in the category “pay to play”.

Yes it is your game and you can call it whatever you want but don’t fucking lie and say is free when you are going to charge money for all the book when is finished and when you haven’t even finished the demo part which also is expected to be free.

Sorry I just have seen others authors before say this and I found it completely ironic considering how sometimes authors also make ko-fis and patreons just so we can support them while writing their free demo.

I've answered a question like this once before, and I will only answer it one more time. Considering your lack of understanding as to what you can and cannot do with demos, patreons, and CSS, I will now disabuse you of any and all misconceptions. I hope your crow pie tastes good.

One: This entire IF will be uploaded into a demo for free. This includes the book and whatever extra content I feel like making in my spare time. You technically cannot make any money with CSS while the demo is in the works. It says so in the licensing upon downloading the tool. While you see many, many people start patreons for their demo, they technically can't.

This isn't to say I agree with this policy one way or another. I don't. I think it's a stupid rule. But from experience, personally, it's best to let sleeping dogs lie, and not stick my feet into something that could end up being something akin to a cease and desist or a lawsuit.

This is why so many IF authors are moving to Twine. You can publish demos and the like on itch.io and have the option to charge people whatever you like, as well as run patreons specifically for their IF they're developing.

I don't like Twine. I'm not going to waste my time learning to code on Twine, either.

Two: I don't know if this final product is going to be sent to Choice of Games and be approved for publishing. It most likely will not be. That is the only way I can make money off of this with CSS. I didn't come into writing IFs to get money; as I've stated many, many times before, I've written WWYFFs and CYOAs since I was about twelve years old, and none of what I've ever produced on the internet was ever hidden behind a paywall of some kind. Despite my love and passion for writing and creating, these aren't viable forms of income or jobs.

I cannot make this my job. I would lose interest in it pretty quickly if I were to try and make it one. I don't want that. This is a hobby, it has always been a hobby, and it will continue to be one.

Three: Ko-fis are completely donation based. I have a ko-fi if someone cares enough to throw a dollar my way for writing. I don't promote it out the ass, I don't have ANY content hidden behind a paywall there, and chances are with me preparing to go to law school and working a new job, I'm not going to have the time to write the IF, run this blog, and create content exclusive to any paywall.

Someone wants to pay five dollars to write a five page fic featuring a character they like, personalized and everything? Cool- welcome to the real world, where people decide as to whether or not the product or service they pay for is worth the money they will purchase it with. This principle is no different to the IF authors brave enough out there to have patreons while their demo is still in the works. If people believe their content is worth the price, they will pay for it. This is between the consumer and the provider, not me or you or any other Tom, Dick, or Harry who objects to it. It is what it is.

This will be the last time I will be answering any asks from you if it pertains to any discourse you feel is necessary to throw my way. I am not a drama blog, this is a development blog for a story that I want to write, and have fun while doing it. You can take your complaints and either swallow them and continue to enjoy every single piece of free content I've ever published on this blog and elsewhere, or you can leave. It's truly as simple as that.

Pestering me with pointless arguments and pretending that you have a dog in the fight when it is clear you have an astounding lack of knowledge as to how I will write my demo is truly nothing other than a bloody annoyance and a waste of both our times.

This is my story, this is my time that I am putting into creating content for people to enjoy, and I will not have ANYONE try to complain or bemoan their way into changing what I am writing. This doesn't just go for you. This is for every single person out there who thinks they can tell ME or any other goddamn author what they can and cannot write.

Go find someone else to annoy with your inane arguments and problems. Send anymore and you will be blocked. Period.

Seems there is a plague of rudeness going around for me and fellow creators.

So let me go into it.

Why you should be nice and kind to the people who are providing a free service. You know all those wonderful stories and headcanons you enjoy?

They take time, our time we don’t get back. We pour our hearts out into what we make, what we think of, and then we have to do this unique thing that no one thinks about. We have to protect that. We have to keep it ours, we have to keep ideas from overlapping with each other, ripping off others ideas (accidentally) potentially, others maybe stealing our work and spreading it to their dumbass wattpad accounts for others.

My name is actually well known in different fanbases. I’ve never changed the way I do things, I keep that “I write what I want” motto full tilt.

I create because “I” want to read stories that no one thinks of. Or hasn’t done yet, I want to provide other creators the chance to get inspired for their own ideas or whatever they feel like doing.

I also want to project out there, that it is damn okay to stand your ground and put people in their places. Someone being a shit in your inbox? ignore the fuck out of them. Minors treading where they shouldn’t? Block and remind the rest “I block them, I don’t hold wiggle room.”

I hate rudeness and impoliteness above ANYTHING else. Seriously does not hurt any of you to be nice when asking me. Say thank you and say please.

I have had my written works stolen by people, I have seen them on wattpad and I went after the users who did it. For the longest time on my creative blogs security features that prevented people from saving, or ripping my works from said blogs. I had intentionally made it to where no one could save my works even if they were reblogged. That’s how good it was.

There are alot of posts about how creators are leaving the site to go to pages like Patreon or twitter’s privatter and poipiku because they have high anti-theft things.

I had a minor once print out my written works to show their LA teacher. I hounded that one till they burned and showed me the ashes of my work.

I am a certain way on purpose, because I don’t want people to feel like they can walk over my preferences nor will I allow them any footholds in my domains. You come into my blog, you accept my rules, you accept everything I have warned and written down to protect my content.

I am “strict” not a bitch. I have intense boundaries, I like it when people are nice, they comment things, they interact with this blog. But I do have hard limitations regarding who can and are allowed to do things.

I don’t allow minors, I hate drama. But damn well guarantee if someone is coming into my zones, or going after fellow blogs who create I am going to go off about it.

If you are rude, if you are mocking other writers/creators for their strictness, asking for interactions, asking to be treated like a damn human being. Then fuck off from my blogs.

The content you consume for free, could easily be put behind paywalls. Nothing for free, our hard work could be purchased instead of being provided for free and fun.

Y’all ever wonder how many hours I spend into my LONG works? you know the ones that are well detailed? the ones that look like they take alot of time to work on?

They take anywhere from 4 to 10 or 24 hours to days to write. When I go out I go all out and I have one friend who I talk to alot who has heard me stay up till 2 or 3 am just to finish one piece of work that I started at 7 am the previous day.

Writing to me is the one freeing hobby I have. I do it because I love to write. I don’t want to think of moving all my works to another location where not only are they better protected, but get virtually no traffic unless you know where to look for them. I want them noticed, I want people to enjoy my work.

The same thing can be said about every single creator on this site. Their art, their voice works, music, animations, their written pieces. They don’t magically appear out of no where. They take hours of our time we could easily be doing something else. We could easily stop giving you these reader contents. Hell I have oc’s I could pair these guys with. Y’all would get bored of that, because who wants to read someone else’s character having fun in place of yourself? I have self insert ideas I could come up with.

My creations are endless, and I could start today and start generating my own content.

See the weight of all this? Every creator has this ability, but we want to be kind and supply y’all with something as well.

Second hand perspective does get boring to write after a while. So don’t shame the people who want... a little piece for themselves. One person can set someone off to do exclusive work, private their works, change locations, and delete everything you have loved and disappear without a single trace. I’ve seen it happen to fellow creators, I’ve done it too.

I deleted every single written piece of work for Undertale. I detest that fanbase so much that I removed and deleted everything I had ever MADE besides one art piece on my DA I colored. Only because the artist loved my coloring.

I hope my fellow creators can have this same backbone to these rude af people coming in to upset them because they think their comment carries anything. Keep on creating, and if it works. Generate for yourself. You have more fun without worrying over the views, likes, reblogs. Creating for yourself should be fun.

So be kind to your creators and writers. We can easily make money off our stuff. Hell I know my writing can easily fetch around 20 - 50 for my short stories for the 8k - 10k word lengths I can generate.

But I hate making money off a hobby. So do you wish to see more work? or silence?

hey i looked at your directory and dont see a topic about builders who lock cc behind a paywall. ive ran into a few of them (hmb, hauzz, etc.,) where they lock cc and never release it. id love to hear your opinion on this matter since you did ever so amazingly with most topic about paywalls. cheers xo

Okay, so in the words of Rhett and Link...

First, I want to clarify something that I think should be said before we get into the meat of this topic. My personal opinion (which the public is free to disagree with) is that builders in the sims 4 are awesome, but do not have to put in the same amount of monetary stakes, time commitments to learning programs, and testing as those who create CC clothing/furnishings. Because of this, charging for builds (I believe) is a really strange practice,.

All a builder has to do to get started building is to have the sims 4 base game. That’s it. There’s not a process of learning how to mesh, figuring out new programs, buying programs, buying textures/resources, etc. Is it somewhat time-intensive? Yes. But it is not as INTENSE or hard to learn as it is to make CC as you are not required to buy an expensive program to build in the sims 4 and share it. If a builder wants to share a build and people want to donate, awesome. But I (personally) don’t see the point of opening up a Patreon JUST for the purpose of sharing builds in the sims 4. I find it odd in practice. Particularly when there are many builders sharing their work 100% for free on the gallery, even with CC in them. I just don’t see the need for it, and don’t really understand the “demand” for builds, but that’s just me and my playstyle.

It’s okay if you disagree with my take on that, but I feel that it does color some of what I’m about to say, so you need to know that going in. As for your question, I honestly feel really disgusted with the practice of locking builds, and the included CC for it, behind paid paywalls. You can see a post (HERE) that shows how one particular creator had her FREE CC locked behind the PAID paywall of another creator. Why do I not like it? Because most of the time NOTHING in the build is owned or created by the builder themselves. It’s just items from the sims 4 + expansion packs, and custom content they got from others (often for free!), arranged in a house. You are literally paying people to collect a bunch of CC + items from the sims 4, and arrange it for you. And the crux of the matter is, that for SOME builders, they use so many creators, they do not have the time, nor the decency to message those creators. Those creators never get a message saying “Hey, I used some of your content in this build that’s going up on my patreon. Is it okay if I make money off of it?” They find out that their CC is locked behind someone’s paywall because someone ELSE alerts them. They don’t even do something half-way decent and just leave that creator’s CC out of the folder and LINK to the blog of the creator to download. They just throw it in with the rest of the content on their patreon.

So, let’s start with one really great example. A creator known as “Her Majesty Builds”. Which you already mentioned in your ask. First, she uses a TOOOOON of CC in her builds that is from other creators and locks it in her paywall folders. HERE is a post about that, with a giant list of creators. Among them are both PAYWALL creators, and NON-PAYWALL/EARLY ACCESS creators that she stole content from and locked behind her paywall.

There’s a really great archive blog HERE that details the utter craziness of this “creator”. One of the absolutely nuts things that she does can be found in her info on her patreon.

So basically, if she SUSPECTS at all, that you could REMOTELY be sharing her builds, you’ll be blocked with no chance of a refund. Regardless of your ACTUAL innocence or not.

The link being sent directly to you is a bit sus, particularly as her post seems to imply that you have to DIRECTLY MESSAGE her each time for the link. That’s a lot of effort for the price you pay for her builds.

Anyway, that’s one example I’m sure you know well. But basically, it’s a gross paywall and should be avoided. There are plenty of great free builds that can be found on the gallery, and on early access simmer’s sites if you are into that sort of thing. Because paywall builds often have tons and tons of copyright violations, and not to mention that they often don’t update the CC in those builds when new patches/etc come out that can break them.

Dude, I'm one of the people who said in the survey that it was a dumb idea so don't worry I don't plan on it, But I do plan on taking a day next week to make backup copies of everything, prompts and writing wise on my blog to move over onto my AO3 I've been neglecting, because A. I keep putting it off because I have a shit memory and B. just in case the s.s. hellscape is steered straight into an iceberg by the half-baked crew we call the Tumblr staff so I'll be able to keep afloat on or in an a soft aquatic pred while the crew sinks into the cruel icy maw of the abyss called "we told you so"

I write vore because I like to write it and to share ideas for it, I'm not a shop I'm just part of the scenery. Feel free to take inspiration from what I write because it's free and nothing here has a price, and I mean, if I ever planned to take money for my work I would just go set up a ko-fi not work at gunpoint for highway robbers, a fucking 40% cut is ridiculous, Patreon only takes like 10-15% from what I understand and Ko-fi doesn't take shit from the artists.

I don't even gotta mention the trigger happy copyright giants who will gladly sue both Tumblr and the artists, just to devour people's funds just because they put fanart or fanfics with said giant's characters behind a paywall as another reason Tumblr plus a bad idea. Disney's is petty as hell. They'll sue you, they'll sue your grandma, they'll sue an unborn child, you get the picture.

Okay rant time.

I’m gonna sound like a right fucking ass but atm i truly don’t care because I’m tired, fed up and if I don’t say it now I’ll probably keep going down this road for another few months without complaining until I get so fed up I up and dip without a word. I don’t like complaining about the lack of feedback. I really don’t. It’s annoying for me as well as for you guys and though I don’t care about a lot of things deeply, I don’t really want to show up on yalls dash to nag.

But I’m really fucking frustrated. Some of you might follow my blog for the things I reblog, in which case I can’t say too much about that, but I think the large majority is here for the content I create. I love writing. I adore it, I love sharing it, love hearing feedback and making people happy or sad with something I did. It’s one of the few things I feel proud to say I’ve grown at over the years; so much so that there’s people who follow me for it! That’s amazing.

I am unbelievably thankful for every person who does leave a reblog, a message, an ask or a post, it might not sound like it since I’m bitching but I truly from the bottom of my heart am so thankful for those who took some time out of their day for me. But you have no clue how fucking disheartening it is to spend hours on something and having it flop completely. And when I say completely: I have 3300 followers and my latest piece gets 6 notes. That is not 10% of my audience, not even 1%. It’s 0.18% of my audience who apparently can be bothered to click a heart button.

Tumblr doesn’t allow you to see how many people clicked on your post. There might have been 300 people who read it and just didn’t like, reblog, comment etc. but I don’t know that. I can’t know that. It’s the same with my more popular posts too. I’d say Wild valley is one of the most loved-on series on my blog. People send me messages about it, ask how it’s going, and I feel like it’s so loved. Which is great!! The first part has 457 notes, what a stupid big number. But then the next only gets 170, and then 120, then barely 80. Can you see how that is discouraging as a writer?

Also, Wild Valley is officially my most reblogged series ever. In numbers, the first chapter got 40 reblogs! 40 reblogs out of 457 notes... out of 3300 followers. A bunch of them are my own reblogs in hopes of sharing the thing around, and a lot of them are of my amazing friends who are the most supportive, lovely beings in the world. I know you’ve heard this a million times because writers are always saying it but that writers are always saying it, over and over and over, might mean something. Likes don’t mean anything on tumblr. It doesn’t do anything. It allows you to keep it in your likes, sitting there, doing nothing.

You can read it again if you want. That’s it. Reblogs give people more space on the site, allow them to be seen by others. It’s the only thing that gives creators exposure. That is why we’re always fucking begging for reblogs. Please, please please please reblog things of content creators so that they might be seen by others. Reading something and not liking it, dick move but at the end of the day I can’t see you anyway so why should I care, right? Getting likes is such a nice thing at first because it means that people are enjoying it, but your hard work still disappears into the void.

Me not posting my writing on here anymore won’t effect me that much. I’ll still be writing. I could focus my efforts on things that could better me financially. Could write personal commissions and put everything behind a paywall. I’d still be don’t what I love and I’d get money for it. But I never considered doing that because I wanted to share my work, for free, with like minded people who’d enjoy it. So if you enjoy it, then show people that you enjoy it. Reblog their things, share it around. What good is a piece if it’s pushed in the far corners of your mile-long ‘liked’ tag?

This isn’t meant to be a beg for attention. I don’t suddenly want a surge in notes in an attempts to soothe me or some shit. I want you all to sit with this and realize that it really, really means something. I don’t give a flying rat’s ass about numbers in any other circumstance. But I don’t appreciate the blatant -I’m genuinely sorry to people who’ve been here supporting me, you know who you are and I love you for dear life- leeching happening on my blog and many of my friend’s blogs.

If the writer-reader mentality on this site doesn’t change, I am going to leave. That’s not a threat or smt, it’s just the truth. I don’t spend hours working on something I’m so excited about for it to get 6 notes. And if I go I’m taking my shit with me, so that’s that.

THE SEEIN’ DEAD MOD IS A BAND-AID FIX

gearbox locked zane’s lazy fix behind a paywall

tl;dr: for the love of god, the seein’ dead class mod should be what the seein’ red capstone is and vice versa. also. MORE SYNERGY. also i redesigned all of Zane’s trees and augments for more synergy you’re welcome.

is 1am and i don’t want tomorrow and im angry and thinking about borderlands so this seems like the perfect time to immerse myself in remaking Zane’s skill trees (for the 5th time). mainly because some of zane’s skills are still irking me and i’ve written extensive essays for the bl3 subreddit about the seein’ dead class mod and just playing around with zane’s skills in general, but i don’t think i’ve ever posted here before about it. so here we are. i notice i usually save lore/theories/characterizations for this blog and meta/balancing/gear talk for reddit. not sure why that’s a split for me.

now i’ve remade zane’s skills a number of times, but honestly this was all before the seein’ dead mod was released. then, instead of fixing his skill trees, i wrote a lot of essays about why that mod was a terrible bad decision on gearbox’s part (you can read one of the shorter arguments in a comment from 5 months ago here). I’m just gonna remake the skill trees now with all his current abilities in mind.this post really should be titled: ALL THE PROBLEMS WITH THEIR BALANCING DECISIONS

so imma just talk for a bit about why i love/hate the seein’ dead class mod.

Obviously it’s a god tier mod, and you see almost no zane builds without it, and no top tier, can solo m10 true takedown builds without it (unless ur like, the 1% of masochistic players, in which case i salute you). and while that obviously means its a good mod, it also shows the problems with all his other class mods and his skill trees in general.

They all kinda suck. and that wouldn’t be a problem, bc, hey, the seein’ dead mod is ez to get, just pop on over to the casino and kill a few baddies and they’ll drop like candy. Which is really awesome!

slight problem.

the dlc is locked behind a PAYWALL

now this is a problem because if zane was a top tier character BEFORE the dlc, and everything was hunky dory and people weren’t on their knees begging for gearbox to fix Zane, then him getting a new badass class mod wouldn’t be such a big deal. but the problem was this was gearbox’s solution to giving Zane a buff.

they literally locked a buff for a character behind a pay wall.

I recommend Zane is every single person I try to convince to play bl3, but i always have to add this like, commercial-esque asterisk. you know, terms and conditions or, side effects or whatever. *you probably want to get the seein’ dead mod if you’re looking at end-game play because unless you wanna struggle that’s his only viable play style.

what if they don’t want to buy the dlc?! for real...

There’s also the point that this class mod makes his (arguably) BEST capstone obsolete. so we have distributed denial which literally no one uses because its broken, double barrel which is always traded for seein’ red or more points in other skills, and seein’ red, WHICH WAS MADE USELESS BY THIS CLASS MOD

okay and it wouldn’t even be so bad

IF THEY DIDN’T CHANGE HIS ENTIRE SKILL SET BEFORE RELEASE

like they lowered ALL his kill skills, then they turned Seein’ Red into his capstone instead of Death Follows Close, meaning they nerfed Death Follows Close so it could fit as just a game changer. my poor boy was g u t t e d.

so, imagine this, everyone is reaching the end-game content of bl3. it’s a month or 2 weeks or whatever after the game dropped and people are finally hitting level 50. and moze/fl4k/amara are all killin’ it, and the zane players have to work their ASSES off to do like... 50% of that damage output (now, they did also eventually nerf the crap outta moze and fl4k but the point stands).

so instead of gearbox going: “oh... shit that pre-release nerf was an awful idea, revert the changes guys” they decided to keep him gutted and then they released what was, in my opinion, a kick in the nuts with the maliwan takedown (aka the antifreeze mod, alongside the spiritual driver) ahahahahahaha. what good times it was. (I say this sarcastically.)

man i remember people were soooo livid with that class mod release. well, both of them. zane mains were pissed off (for good reason). “yes, let’s make the people who are begging for a straight damage increase jump through MORE hoops (LITERALLY) for a pitiful amount of damage. oh, also, let’s give their 28 skill point build to the strongest character in the game for free and also make it 10x better”. because it was 10x better than violent momentum (driver didn’t have a damage cap) until they fixed both the spiritual driver and the violent momentum skill. it was the worst of times.

i will note here they did, around this time, let zane have stackable kill skills, but it was only 2 stacks and also it was still *incredibly* difficult to achieve stacks because zane just. struggled to kill anything. I still remember when i grinded the shit outta an antifreeze class mod and it took me over 20 minutes to kill Wotan my first time solo on m4. Not the fight UP to wotan. literally. just killing wotan.

then the seein’ dead mod dropped and i had. a fuckin. 15 minute decrease to my time on killing wotan (5 minutes!!!!). now i am not perfect, and i 100% believe i could’ve lowered the time even more. but that... that shows a VERY CLEAR problem.

they never actually fixed zane, they gave him a class mod that’s stupid OP just to make sure he could hang on next to the other Vault Hunters. it’s just a bandaid fix. you remove the class mod, and he’s back to pre-jackpot power levels (which will NOT hold up at m10, let me tell you).

all his pre-jackpot problems are still here, and that’s why people are not using any other class mod of his. I bet we could have some really fun builds with the conductor mod! but nobody will ever use it because it’s just... not even close to the seein’ dead mod.

So what does the seein’ dead mod do that makes Zane so good?

IT BRINGS HIM BACK TO PRE-RELEASE VALUES

this mod, plus Death Follows Close, brings Zane back to pre-release zane. and i don’t understand how gearbox isn’t putting two and two together and going “Oh.”

it also is a BETTER VERSION of Seein’ Red!!! something players could have had at, like, level 15, but instead had to wait until they hit a capstone! the capstone is completely obsolete at this point. There is nothing seein’ red can give you that seein’ dead doesn’t do but better. Getting that capstone is a w a s t e of skill points.

AND they locked this fix behind a pay wall!!! i cannot say that enough. you don’t wanna get the handsome jackpot dlc?? guess u don’t wanna play zane at endgame then. too bad, so sad.

have i stated that enough? because it still blows my fuckin mind. THEY LOCKED A CHARACTER FIX BEHIND A PAYWALL

djhdgakjhakjdah. imagine playing without any prior knowledge and being like, aw man i love this zane character. can’t wait to get to max mayhem end game like all my favorite youtubers and friends!! then finding out you gotta drop 15 bucks or whatever it is just to actually be able to play at max mayhem level. that is not a skill difference, that is A BALANCING PROBLEM MY DUDES. like. my favorite zer0 build was still viable without the story DLCs. obviously grog > rubi, pimp > lyuda, rapier > law but, it was still fuckin viable.

ok so there’s a lot i just went over: my main issue? is that by making Seein’ Red a capstone, they did nothing to make it an actual legit capstone. They definitely nerfed Death Followed Close to make it a gamechanger, but they never gave Seein’ Red a buff to move it from a gamechanger to a capstone. It was the same exact skill. Seein’ Dead is what Seein’ Red SHOULD be and that’s what angers the crap outta me. they locked this obvious fix behind a pay wall (AND a gear slot!!!!!) n ur probably thinking ‘but cruddy this WAS really nice of them to try and fix zane... they could’ve just let him be suuc’ and like, yeah, they could’ve, and it is good they’re TRYING, but also, they’re leaving the people who DON’T buy the DLC high and dry.

keep in mind i DO own the dlc. have the season pass and everything. IM STILL MAD!!!

Zane should be strong no matter what class mod the players want to use. Same with Amara, same with Moze, same with Fl4k. FFS, it is not that hard. CHANGE THEIR SKILLS!!!!!

so im gonna be taking the time to go over all of zane’s skills and shit just to put him more on par with the others (WITHOUT THE SEEIN’ DEAD MOD)

imagine the seein’ dead mod doesn’t exist for this. we’re gonna make a balanced character since apparently THAT’S TOO HARD FOR A TRIPLE-A BALANCING TEAM

first things first, the tree with the most fuckin problems:

oh god this tree is a fucking train wreck what the hell were they thinking. good god. my eyes. they’re burning.

not actually, but it still kinda sucks.

Action Skill: Barrier is fine. I would not add the ‘picking it up decreases benefits’ when Zane’s whole schtick is running around fast. You get the full bonus no matter what form it’s in. also, you can hold down the action skill activation button to deploy the barrier directly on yourself.

Tier 1: Hearty Stock is a trap. never get this. so dumb. no synergy with his other skills. Adrenaline is okay, but not really great during end game. Ready For Action is similarly okay. Just a very MEH start to this tree.

Adrenaline: Zane gains increased Action Skill Cooldown Rate. 10% per level, up to 50%. this shouldn’t be tied to his shields being full because if your barrier is down (cooling DOWN)... your shield is taking damage. c’mon now. THINK GEARBOX T H I N K

Hearty Stock: (maxed) Zane and his clone gain 5% magazine regeneration while an action skill is active. This skill stacks. In it’s original state, this skill is such a trap skill. for real.

Ready For Action: i mean, it’s fine. We’ll keep it. +30% shield recharge rate and -29% (why????) recharge delay

Tier 2: ech. Stiff Upper Lip is not that good. Brain freeze is what u really want. Rise to the Occasion is also okay.

Brain Freeze: keep the same.

Stiff Upper Lip: when Zane is damaged with a hit that would break his shield, he gains (max) +20% bonus gun damage on his next shot through the barrier.

Rise to the Occasion: Zane and his clone gain health regeneration. +5% max health/s. Not determined by shield availability.

Tier 3: `screams in confident competence` oh lawd. this skill is good. the accuracy thing is kinda laughable. i tell you, i always thought that zane was originally meant to be the sniper with the Under Cover tree but they decided to swap Zane and Fl4k’s skills. which is why Zane has soooo many accuracy buffs.

Confident Competence: fine the way it is. I would also add, since this IS a game changer, that the Barrier’s damage amp is now 40%.

Tier 4: ew. tier 4. Really Expensive Jacket is literally the only skill you might want to get and EVEN THEN. ugh. Best Served Cold is so pointless. and so is Futility Belt. YOU TAKE MORE DAMAGE WITH IT

Really Expensive Jacket: Elemental Status Effects have reduced duration (-50%). Additionally, Zane is not slowed by Cryo anymore.

Best Served Cold: Remove the cooldown. Buff up the damage at least 200%. Make it an AOE Brain Freeze. That is, the cryo novas stack and if overkill damage is high enough, enemies hit with the novas freeze. Kinda like a discount Frozen Heart.

Futility Belt: HA. Ahahahahaha. Ha. Zane gains resistance to non-elemental and cryo damage (+15%). Futhermore, after killing an enemy, Zane’s barrier gains additional cryo damage (+20%) for 8s.

Tier 5: is oki. My only real complaint is with Nerves of Steel. Like. Seriously.

Refreshment: god tier skill actually. Keep the same.

Best Served Cold: also keep the same. The only change I will make is this: resetting your action skills’ cooldowns counts as action skill start and end.

Nerves of Steel: The longer Zane’s barrier is active, the more stacks of Nerves of Steel he gains (a maximum of 15). For each stack, Zane gains 2% shock damage, 2% cryo efficiency, and 1% damage to frozen enemies. (why shock damage? cryo doesn’t do well against shields.)

Tier 6: *cries in the worst capstone in the entire series* WHO DID THIS. WHY. WHAT’S WRONG WITH YOU???

Distributed Denial: no. just. no. scrap this whole damn thing. IT DOESN’T EVEN WORK!!!! either fix it COMPLETELY or do something else. My recommendation? Whenever Zane throws down his barrier, his shield instantly begins recharging. If Zane’s shield is already full or recharging, enemies with no shields (or freeze immunity) that touch Zane’s Barrier for the next 10s are instantly frozen.

Augments: why the hell do i gotta place my barrier down when my entire fuckin’ character is about RUNNING. ALSO JUST AS A BLANKET STATEMENT: ALL THESE AUGMENTS WORK 100% EVEN IF HIS BARRIER IS PICKED UP. SO DUMB. a fully pointless restriction.

that last sentence immediately fixes Charged Relay and Nanites or Some Shite.

Redistribution: If his shields are full, Zane can sacrifice 50% of his shields to have his next shot deal 100% bonus cryo damage by holding F.

All-Rounder: Fine as is. Only thing I would add: whenever Zane melees an enemy, his shields are drained by 50% and his sliding augment is added to the melee attack.

Deterrence Field: Fine as is. But! I would add: whenever Zane sprints into an enemy, his shields are drained by 50% and slam augment is activated.

THAT WAY we can have both slam/sliding relics actually DO SOMETHING. because my god they’re so useless rn.

alright, moving on.

Hitman

Tier 1: is okay. nobody ever takes cold bore. ever.

Violent Speed: fine as is, but we’re taking it back to pre-release values. Max: 30%. can stack 2x.

Cold Bore: Zane gains (max) 20% bonus cryo damage to all shots fired while moving.

Violent Momentum: fine as is, but taking it back to pre-release values. 30% gun damage at default walk speed. Additionally, Zane can now shoot while sprinting.

Tier 2: my boy zoomer needs more fun.

Cool Hand: fine as it is. I would buff his base reload speed up to 20% and kill skill reload to 20% as well. 17 and 13 are such weird numbers.

Drone Delivery: fine as it is. Additionally, Zoomer’s base shots now take on the element of Zane’s grenade mod.

Salvation: fine as it is. I won’t mess with this bc life steal is messy business (coughs in grog)

Tier 3: hhhynf.fdsg.

Death Follows Close: Kill Skill Bonus: +30%. Kill Skill Time: +7s. Additionally, enemies targeted by Zoomer take 5% more damage from Zane.

Tier 4: these two skills are actually p dope by themselves. it can stay as it is. I would MAYBE increase the violent violence max buff up to 20% but that’s just me.

Tier 5: ahahahaha. this skill. just remember, we’re pretending Seein’ Dead doesn’t exist, so imagine how this skill looks next to calm cool n collected. so pointless.

Good Misfortune: Killing an enemy with a critical hit adds (max) 10% efficiency to Zane’s kill skills for 8s. This does not stack.

Tier 6: WE’RE GONNA MAKE YOU RELEVANT AGAIN BOO HANG IN THERE

Seein’ Red: Zane has a (4%) chance to activate his kill skills upon dealing gun damage to an enemy. Additionally, enemies targeted by Zoomer now take 15% more damage from Zane.

so why didn’t we make good misfortune the infinite action skill build?? BECAUSE THAT’S WHAT CCnC IS SUPPOSED TO DO!!! why have 2 skills that do the exact same thing AT THE EXACT SAME TIER except ONE IS OBJECTIVELY WORSE!!!!!

what happens to the Seein’ Dead class mod if we’re giving its perk to this capstone? I’m so glad you asked. “Zane activates his kill skills when activating his action skills. Additionally, the kill skills activated this way have 15% more efficiency”. look how much better balanced that is!!!! that’s a class mod!!!!!!!!

Augments: these aren’t THAT bad, but they could be a lot better.

Winter’s Drone: Zoomer gains 20% bonus cryo damage to all shots.

Bad Dose: pump these numbers up. Fire Rate: +7% per affected enemy. Movement Speed: +10% per enemy. everything else is fine.

Boomsday: just make this more beefy. fr. It’d be a good choice if it were stronger.

Static Field: also fine. I would again give it better damage output, but that’s just me.

Almighty Ordnance: remove the build up honestly. Like i get the vibe and it’s really cool, but in combat it just DOESN’T WORK. maybe if Zoomer is targeting an enemy, he will unleash the missiles if they are above 50% health after 30s or something. I honestly think these should have a debuffing factor instead of a damage factor (you know, to not get in the way of boomsday). maybe something around 15%? the 1x per action skill activation thing would be easily subverted with CCnC with the changes we suggested, so it could work.

Doubled Agent

ahhh, Blane. Blue Zane. Love ya, buddy. One change: he prioritizes pinged targets. That way you can kinda get him to fight specific people. Also, lower the teleportation timer. pls.

Tier 1: actually p good. could be better, but its not bad.

Synchronicity: Zane gains 20% bonus damage per active action skill. While Zane has an action skill active, he gains a stack of Synchronicity. Max Stacks: 10. For each stack of Synchronicity, Zane gains 5% Action Skill Cooldown Rate and 2% Action Skill Damage.

Praemunitus: Zane and his digiclone gain (max) 30% magazine size.

Borrowed Time: For each action skill active, Zane gains 30% action skill duration. The longer Zane’s action skills are active, he and Blane gain a higher Fire Rate and faster Reload Speed, up to 20%. (the idea is you choose between this or synchronicity bc... either permanent action skills build or fast paced action skills build)

Tier 2: Donnybrook is fun. Fractal Frags is fun. Duct tape mod is a GODDAMN DISAPPOINTMENT

Donnybrook: fine as it is. I might buff the max numbers up to 20% gun damage and 3% health regen. But that’s really it.

Fractal Frags: Blane will periodically toss a grenade from Zane’s stockpile at his targeted enemy (cooldown: 20s). Kill Skill: Blane has a 45% chance to throw a free grenade.

Duct Tape Mod: this skill... why... No cooldown. NONE. Zane has a 1% chance to also fire a grenade from his gun. Kill Skill: This is increased to 15% for 8s (stays at 1% for the whole time, but the kill skill will increase by 3% for each tier)

Tier 3: Actually Quick Breather is one of my favorite skills. this can stay.

Quick Breather: Same as is. Additionally, Zane and his clone gain 25% Gun Damage after swapping places for a short time (8s). I really wanna promote swapping places. It’s really underutilized. they’ve ADDED stuff to this skill already!!! even tho it didn’t work until the next patch. BUT THEY SHOW ITS POSSIBLE TO ADD TO SKILLS!!!

Tier 4: actually a really good tier. a few minor changes.

Pocket Full of Grenades: Kill Skill: Zane gains (max) 15% grenade regeneration for 8s. If Zane’s grenades are full, any excess grenades are shot from his gun with 25% bonus damage.

Old-U: If Zane falls into FFYL while his digiclone is active, he can press the action skill activation key to destroy his clone and gain a second wind. When he does this, he takes the place of his clone. His clone will also drop a grenade when it is destroyed.

Supersonic Man: Zane gains increased movement speed for each active action skill: (max) 15% each. Additionally, teleportation is considered to be Zane’s maximum speed for its duration and 5s after.

Tier 5: oh god oh fuck oh god.

Like a Ghost: Oh god why. Zane and his digiclone gain a (max) 15% chance to ignore all damage while teleporting and for 7s after.

Boom. Enhance: actually a pretty swell skill. I would probably add Health Regen +3% per grenade tho. Blane needs help a lot.

Trick of the Light: bring back the shock damage. Zane deals 40% bonus shock damage for 7s after swapping places with his clone.

Tier 6: oh ngl I actually love this capstone lol

Double Barrel: Zane’s digiclone gains a copy of Zane’s current gun when it is deployed (and all the anointments work and he actually fires it like a reasonable person). Zane’s clone now deals damage equal to Zane’s base weapon damage. Upon swapping places, both Zane and his digiclone deal 50% bonus damage for 7s.

Augments:

Binary System: is okay. Kinda uhhh underwhelming tho. Buff up the damage and also maybe reduce teleportation time.

Schadenfreude: I like this one a lot. Zane’s shield is restored by 100% of the damage his digiclone takes and vice versa.

Dopplebanger: lower the waiting time. I get that u don’t wanna override the teleportation, but it’s really annoying. Buff damage and don’t make it dependent on action skill duration. If this explosion kills an enemy, the clone is reactivated with 50% action skill duration.

Which One’s Real?: I’ve never actually felt this work. Maybe for like 2 seconds? Make it work more like Zer0′s hologram or Timmy’s Jack clones or smth. Maybe give an activation cue? im v lost with this one. Enemies targeting Zane take 30% more damage from the digiclone.

Digital Distribution: 75% of the health damage Zane takes is distributed to his clone instead. The digiclone gains 5% Health Regeneration/s and sends out 3 [level specific damage] shock spikes to enemies that attack it.

literally all Zane needs is SYNERGY. if they can change a few skills, pump up a few numbers, and ffs fix the seein’ red/dead capstone/mod, they’d be in FUCKIN BUSINESS

Coming full circle: 2 years later

I want to start off this post by saying that this is no tea, shade, drama, subpost or whatever other name you want to find for this. This is my most sincere and last message that I will post on my blog. This is why I want to apologize in advance for the ridiculous length of this and I want every reader to be considerate, understanding, open and as objective as they possibly can in this matter.

I will not tolerate any hate sent towards me or the person I am about to mention nor any curious anons asking to “spill the tea” or anything of that nature. If you have any questions my inbox is always open and you are free to directly message me to discuss further. ^_^ /)

Now that we got that out of the way... I will tell you all a little story about my relationship with Frankie (gruesim or simplyimaginarypeople, however you want to call her)

If any of y’all simblr veterans know me for a long time, you surely know I’ve been here for about 6 years or so. I joined this website when I was around 13 years of age, and naturally as any 13 year old I immediately looked up to people who were more talented than me. One of those very people was Frankie herself. I respected her highly, admired her for all her hard work, discipline, talent for meshing from the very beginning and I am extremely thankful to her for all the help she has offered me throughout the years.

I wanted to be like her. I wanted to mesh and have something to give to Simblr. I wanted to become popular and cool and constantly compared myself to her. Like any teenager would when they admire someone older than them.

You can imagine I grew up with time and I became less and less of a child, maturing and forming my own opinions etc. But I was still pretty gullible and easy to fool back then. So I blindly trusted Frankie and supported her in everything she did, no matter what other people around me were telling me about her. Above all I considered her a friend. A very close one that is. But I am never sure what she considered me to be. I don’t blame her though, I was pretty stupid and annoying when she knew me back then so I don’t mind it at all. However I wish that she had explicitly told me instead. I was always supportive and I remember all of our chats ran dry most of the time with me constantly asking her how she’s doing, admiring and supporting her and her being very distant and cold. I remember at some point she mentioned she cares for me as a friend but I felt like at the time that she didn’t truly mean it. I never knew if she were like this just with me or if she was like that with everyone. But she was absolutely impossible to approach on my end. At least that’s what a teenager me thought at that time. I can be completely wrong about this. And that’s fine.

Growing up more and more I came to terms with the fact that maybe she just disliked me for some reason I didn’t know. Maybe I was too young for her to be friends with, maybe we had a communication barrier of sorts. So I slowly drifted away…running from my problems instead of confronting her.

That was my biggest mistake and fault.

I wish I had the power then that I have now, to confront people directly and tell them how I feel with no filters or sugarcoating.

But back then sugarcoating was the safest form of escape for me. There is nothing sweeter than pretending everything is okay when it isn’t, just to get away from an uncomfortable situation. All of y’all socially anxious people definitely know what I mean by this.

Sugarcoating was my second and most fatal mistake of all within our relationship.

I fully assume my wrongdoings and past mistakes and I want to let you know that I have realized what I did not do right back then. If I could turn back time I would do something entirely different, but that’s not possible. We learn from our past, don’t we? That’s what I’ve been slowly doing in the past few years. ^_^

My falling out with Frankie happened around two years ago. I had started a Patreon for my writing combined with some sims ( pose making, skin making etc )She was clearly not happy about it. She was one of the first people who disagreed with me on it. I appreciated her input and never told her that it bothered me so that she didn’t think that I was “one of those people” who ask for money for content so I just sugarcoated everything as I always did. I remember her saying that she “is not a fan of Patreon as long as it’s not against EA” which I 100% agree with, I never intended to lock cc behind a paywall. I would just release stuff later on, probably in 2-3 weeks’ time. However I remember very clearly that she stated how “it would be still exclusive and that it’s no longer a donation instead it’s buying”

I really didn’t like that she was saying those things to me, I remember feeling disappointed. So because I didn’t want to anger her because I really looked up to her and I feared we might fight, I took down my Patreon and got a Ko-fi instead. I’m extremely thankful to everyone who donated, it’s helped me lots! She seemed to be happy about Ko-fi and i was happy i could please her and solve the problem. I never knew why she hated Patreon so much, to me Ko fi was exactly identical to Patreon. Just another name for donations.

This was the first time that Frankie’s shot a bullet in the way I viewed her. At that time she was starting to gain a lot of influence in the community because of her hard work and dedication and she was leading a very public campaign against Patreon. She’s said some things back then which heavily contrast her current views on Patreon, donations or cc locked behind a temporary wall.

She’s said multiple times, publicly and privately how she “hates everything exclusive” but as years passed by I sometimes saw her on my dashboard, despite not following her on tumblr. I couldn’t help but notice how she seemed to me that she helps those very close to her only and seems to not bat an eye about patreon/timed exclusive content to some people I’ve seen interacting with her– Listen, I know that this might come across as harsh or salty but I mentioned before that I don’t think she’s seen me as a friend. I was not part of her inner circle, nor did we have very deep talks about many things in particular. It just really hurt me to see this happening, while behind closed doors, two years ago she’d bashed me for wanting to make a patreon instead of just asking for donations (it was the same exact thing to me…)

While this subject is still up I’d like to mention the drama that took place a bit earlier this month. The whole hair thing. I have very hardly abstained from saying anything or intervening within the drama because i have biased opinions about her based on my past experience with her. So I didn’t want to come across as harsh, rude or disrespectful to her because of my feelings towards her and didn’t want to portray her in a biased light. The people who know, know what my opinion on the whole drama was. It’s unnecessary to tell you what I think about it since it’s no longer around. But I’d just want to say that for me it felt like all of her constant contradictions were falling apart and truth was starting to get to the surface. I felt like this situation was going to teach her a lesson, and I surely hope she’s learned. She’s not a horrible person. She’s never had malicious intent. I just think that she never really knew quite well how to handle social situations. This isn’t the first time Frankie’s taken a break from simblr.

Perhaps her views have changed over the past few years. I know mine did a lot, so I don’t blame her if she no longer believes in the things she’s said before. People change all the time for the better or worse and it’s not something unusual. My problem here is that she’s never quite explained why she’s changed her opinions, nor did she justify her behaviour towards me at the time and other people involved who had the same experience with her. I just sort of wish that we had gotten some sort of apology, or an explanation from her after a while…anything would have made us happy. But she never did, so we moved on and kept on ignoring her, praying that we don’t ever have to interact again while watching her from afar doing things that were sort of questionable and didn’t rub us in the right way at all. But I kept silent because people support and love her, and I didn’t want to stir drama. It would have meant setting a hornet’s nest on fire and jumping right into it. Which is why I’ve never gone public about this in the first place. I just wanted to make sure that the heat of the drama was gone before i posted this. I felt like it would have been unfair to her to ‘attack’ her with this during the whole thing.

The next time that I started getting off vibes from her was the whole Simscord thing. She joined us, I remember that clearly, she’d post in the sims 3 channel now and then but she would most of the time be in the help channel. She’d never ignore anyone and seemed to become some helper that everyone’s seen her as. So everyone went to her for help, which is what she’s always done for the community: help. It’s not easy work to help others solve their problems, which is why I respect her for it. However I don’t understand why she’s left Simscord and then proceeded to tell me she was ‘constantly ignored’ and ‘only seen as a helper’ by others. And then she proceeded to turn her blog into a help blog for every single question that every single anon needed but NEVER complained about how ignored she is or how she’s only seen as a helper then. She’s sort of criticised Simscord on multiple times before, very passively aggressively with comments like ��Why does Simscord have exclusive tutorials? Isn’t that sucky for the people who don’t like joining public chats ?” I eventually posted all the ‘exclusive tutorials’ a bit later that i wrote for Simscord onto my blog. they are still up and you can find them. This did not really make me happy when the whole SSFF thing started taking off and she did not admit that she was blocking access to cc from people who were too socially anxious to do any of the challenges. But we’ll get to that later. That’s just one of the things I can remember … again I’m saying this once more: she might have changed her view since then so I don’t blame her if she thinks differently. I just blame her past self for the way she’s acted in the whole thing. That’s all. It seemed to me that she’s never quite liked Simscord in the first place and kept trying to find ways to dismiss its usefulness. It’s always brought me down because us, the admins, were doing our best to keep Simscord alive, equal and fun to everyone whether they liked talking with us there or not. It felt like a blow to my self-esteem for the time and effort I’d put into Simscord as an admin. I know very well it’s not perfect and it can’t be. Admins are humans just like everyone. We can’t force people to act a certain way just because we want to.

The next time we had a conflict it was “fatal” for your relationship. It was when we parted ways completely and haven’t spoken directly since. Here is where my biggest fault comes in: not confronting her and being straightforward about how she made me feel. She was angry with me because “I’d changed”. I was apparently “a different person” because I was starting to be myself more on my blog, stopping to sugarcoat things so much…I was trying my best to get out of my childish shell of agreeing with everyone just to avoid conflict and duck confrontation with people when we couldn’t agree. I remember receiving an anonymous message around that time from someone who told me that “I changed” . I was very saddened by the message, I remember I actually cried when I received it. I did not understand why that anonymous person saw me as ‘changed’. I was just being myself and trying to grow and shape and break free from the cute, innocent angel persona that I had created for myself. Sorta like Miley when she had that crazy post Disney phase lol. Im joking now but it’s for real. Then I connected that anon message to her and I am still suspecting today that it might have been her, or someone from her inner circle but then again i could be wrong about this. She had also told me clearly how she “talked to other people who confirmed my change.” I never knew who these people were. Why were they talking behind my back? Why were they not directly telling me into my face that “I changed” if they knew me so well? I highly doubt they knew me at all. Or perhaps there were no “other people”. Perhaps she had made that up just to add to her argument. I’ll never know.

I supported her in the whole drama with The Together Store because I was still admiring her for her work and passion and I still refused to see the doubtful things that people were accusing her of doing. I remember very clearly how I messaged her when she announced her hiatus, supporting her and telling her I’m there for her, not even willing to listen to The Together Store’s side of the story (If any of you guys are reading this please reach out to me, I can’t remember your urls. I’d like to apologize personally!) and she just told me that she doesn’t need my support, she’s not bullied and she doesn’t need help. That put a knife in my chest. I know she was just being angry in that moment. She eventually apologized for her harsh words but I never told her how they made me feel then. Another mistake on my end. I kept adding and adding to the idea of supporting her and she simply said that “she needs people to change the way they act”. I kept adding fuel to the conversation but it went nowhere. In one of the last messages from her I remember she explicitly told me that “It’s attitudes like mine that made her leave” and after that I could take no more blows. I knew then deep down my heart that I did not like her attitude but I decided to simply be nice, continue to wrongly sugarcoat the words I wanted to tell her, block her and move on. She was constantly adding in how she saw me as some sort of… Simblr Leader? I never understood what she meant by that. Never. “I don't respect the way you are handling your position as a community leader. Its been super sad to watch such a kind and sweet person get influenced by all this and I wish it were different” - This is a direct quote from her. I have yet to understand what this all means today. I don’t know what “Influenced by all” means. I have no idea where she got the idea that I am or was a community leader by any means. Surely, I used to have much more influence two years ago. I had thousands of followers, talked to hundreds of people. But I was not a leader. I surely didn’t consider myself that way nor ever said i am one.

I know I handled the situation terribly. Yet again I take complete responsibility for my mistakes and I wish I could gather the courage to reach out to her instead. But we parted ways, by agreeing to disagree and moved on with our lives. I’ve been avoiding her from my dash actively by blocking her username and just stayed away as much as possible. I thought about it many times, to message her…to reach out and talk and be open about my mistakes. But I’ve always gotten a bit anxious the way she might understand this and respond. I know she’s had a distant tone when talking to me before and i did not want to get anxious. So i just hoped i’d get the chance to talk about this someday.

So in the years that came after that I watched her expand, grow and shape her simblr, her projects. She started becoming the very thing that she swore to destroy (very poetic but im making a reference to that one meme. Yall edgelords know what im talkin about). There was SimblrSimplyForFun that pissed me off with the idea of exclusivity that she was so aggressive towards me about but she ended up doing herself- i remember people talking about how they don’t like the idea of challenges and interacting with others just to get ‘a treat’. She was even sent anonymous questions about this very matter: what are socially anxious people going to do? We can’t just interact with others like normal people. I don’t remember her exact response but I think it was something that brushed off the anon. Then came the drama with the hairs. It was the last drop for me. I wanted to let it all go. It’s been awful to hold this in for so long. She took it upon herself to change an entire community by implementing all these projects, which in idea are super fun and cool and really help connect people, but she was doing all the work by herself and kept on burdening herself with every challenge and piece of cc released. She had hundreds and hundreds of projects, videos, tutorials and cc released in the span of two years that were monstrously over encumbering her with so much responsibility to “change simblr” that she got swallowed in this dark pit of becoming a vessel for change and it ended up overwhelming her to the point where she left. That’s just how I see things from the outside. It doesn’t mean I’m right and you can contradict me on this, I’d gladly listen. She’s done so much for us all, a help that nobody else was willing to give and I am thankful for all her dedication and time spent doing these things. But reading her goodbye message made me realize how she’s seen Simblr more as a job than anything else. She was becoming the “leader” she was trying to enforce on me but it was no easy job. To me Simblr is fun, it’s a hobby. It’s somewhere I come to see creativity and catch up with old mutuals. Nothing more than that. If i can help people i definitely will, if it’s within my knowledge and free time. I don’t want my kindness/selflessness be seen as some sort of sacrifice i make as a “leader of the community”. That’s just my opinion. I feel like she really deserved a break and some time away to clear up her mind, relax and think. I hope she finds the peace she seeks!

I have stayed put form talking about this. As soon as the whole drama with the hairs got out I knew it was gonna be a big blow on her blog. I just didn’t want to add fuel to the fire and that’s why I am posting this only now.. I just wanted to tell my story that I kept in for two long years and that I’ve struggled to come to terms with until now.

If you’re reading this Frankie, I’m sorry about the mistakes I made and that I didn’t tell you how I truly felt. It’s probably late, but it’s never too late to apologize for my behavior.

I understand people might not agree with me or my side of the story, that’s totally fine. I just wanted to clear things up because I have many people here I talk to that have asked me before why I don’t interact with Frankie or avoid her. I hope that this explanation is everything you need to clear things up ^_^ Anyone who I’ve personally hurt, attacked or wronged is free to unfollow me or block me away, that is totally fine and acceptable, or perhaps if you want to talk about things I’m always here to listen and discuss.

Ever since this thing happened it’s left me pretty bitter about making new friends here. Which is why I’ve just set a limit to myself to just remain ‘mutuals’ with many people and nothing more or less. It’s why I’ve been colder and colder with every year and refused to do many collabs or ships or whatever. I just have matured and grew up and I do not have much time anymore for any of these things. My IRL is full of problems that I am not willing to discuss here because they don’t concern anyone. I’ve come here just to tell my story and that’s the last personal post I’ll probably ever make on my blog.
