So I decided to watch a Shakespeare play every month this year (bonus points if it is with David Tennant) and while I re-watched my comfort watch of Much Ado About Nothing while recovering from pneumonia in January, this month I went for smth new: Richard II.
OMG, OMG!!!
It was so good, DT is of course stunning there, and the fact that the political element of the play is so relevant today nearly 430 years after it was written is simply astounding.
The famous kiss scene: it is a perfect depiction of a non-romantic kiss which is yet so tender... but when it happens you don't quite realise why it is there, and then at the end you realise what this was a reference too [spoiler below].
Overall, this was really amazing, a definite 9/10!
So, spoiler for the kiss:
Richard II kisses Omerle, and then it is Omerle who betrays him and kills him.
And it was such a clear reference to Judas' kiss, and so cleverly subverted (with Richard kissing him, as if already aware of his fate), and tbh, I was so proud of myself for catching it without any hints of explanations! I mean, for many it would be obvious, but for me it certainly shows growth in my ability to catch the biblical references in art.
And on a different note, as I feel that NG looked at that kiss and said "ooh, this is good, I'm gonna use that!", I bloody well hope he does not intend to use it in this analogy. I simply refuse to believe it (although, has this already happened, has the kiss and the killing of Crowley's heart, betrayal of their dream of a shared life already happened? So it can only get better from here (I mean, we know GO is gonna have a happy ending)

Fanfic Writer Emoji Ask Game Part II
💖 Which of your fics is your pride and joy?
A Storm is coming
This fic started as just a little side project while I was getting stuck on another fic. I just wanted to explore the situation of a bumbling Chosen Undead being accompanied by Ornstein and then they would fall in love. It turned into more. So much MORE! Tempest is now one of my most beloved OCs, there is a modern AU, there is a Dark Souls 3 sequel only existing in my head, the fic is so popular that if sorted by kudos and fandom it will be on the first page and it got comments and fanart, so much fanart. And I did put effort into that fic. I would actually play the game and make notes and that was in NG+ and oh lordy, the gravelords were active sometimes! Ever tried Oolacile Township with active Gravelord disasters? Anyway, I love this fic a lot. Tempest and Ornstein, you were with me for three years. You helped me through Covid times. And when I felt so down in 2023 Taste Testing, a fic that got spawned by Storm. If you haven't read Storm yet, please do and please tell me how you liked it ^^ I consider it my Magnum Opus. 🤩 What's the most meaningful comment you've ever received? I love all my comments, but the best I got was a really big indepth comment on Off Balance that pretty much did deconstruct the whole fic and what the commenter liked about it. It was a joy to read but also a lot of work to reply to it xD 🌷What's one of your fics that isn't as popular, but you hold dear? Hunters of the Abyss
Though that one has gotten quite a few kudos lately? I guess some more people watched the anime. Anyway, I am not surprised that this one has trouble because it crossovers the video game Bloodborne with the obscure anime Made in Abyss which gets dropped by most people after two episodes. Basically, I think the world building of MiA is very eldritch and it was very easy to imagine some Bloodborne things in it, so I put my blorbo, Laurence, into the world of Made in Abyss and made him the protagonist of his own adventure. I don't actually think that you need to know MiA to enjoy this. I am explaining the world building and some canon characters are more side characters, like Lyza which is 90 % headcanon material anyway. However, that might also be why it isn't that popular, that thing feels basically like an OC-centric fic. Because yes, while Laurence is based on Laurence from Bloodborne, MiA Laurence could very well be my delver OC with the same name and personality which is also 90 % headcanon because we know almost nothing about canon Laurence.

Shinigami / Death Mark II
Hiii so I wanted to write out my thoughts after playing last weekend! I’ll be giving an overview of the game / discussing certain aspects in detail, so please be wary if you’re trying to avoid any information on what happens. I tried to avoid any overt spoilers, though. Conversely, if there’s something you’re curious about that I don’t discuss here, feel free to ask!
General Summary and Thoughts on the Premise
Ig just to start I should briefly summarize the game. Shinigami takes place 4 months after the end of Death Mark at a school in H City called Konoehara Gakuen. Yashiki has been hired by the principal to investigate the rumors surrounding the school and the mysterious messages left by an unknown entity known as “Shibito.” As the game progresses, Yashiki must figure out who the target of each new message is, what spirit is targeting them, and the identity of Shibito / their motivation for leaving these messages.
I liked this premise overall! It was interesting to see Yashiki and the Mark Bearers so soon after the events of the first game. IIRC the writer stated this game was showing the beginning of his transition from the person he was at the end of DM to the person we see briefly in NG; that is, someone who fully embraces his role as a “spirit specialist.” I also think having the school as the main location was a smart choice, since it allowed for a more cohesive and connected story. While the spirit cases weren’t related to each other, having the school and Shibito’s messages be the unifying factor made it feel slightly more streamlined than the other games.
The Cases Themselves + The Spirits
While the game has a total of 7 chapters, there are only 3 “boss” spirits and a final boss that also pops up throughout the story (Shibito, if it wasn’t obvious). So as to not give too much away, I’ll just refer to the other spirits by their chapters. Out of all the cases, I think Chapter 2′s was the best written and most interesting. The plot points hit certain weak spots for me, and I thought the reveal of the grudge and the resolution were really heart wrenching. This also made the initial reveal of what happens after a successful purification even more shocking. If I had any complaints, it’d be that the spirit design just didn’t really do anything for me.
Chapter 3 had really great sound design and I liked the design of the spirit, but the story wasn’t as interesting to me as the other two. It does have some of my favorite CGs from the game though, so I have to give it points. Chapter 5 had maybe my favorite spirit design from any of the games and an interesting story, but I was disappointed by the final confrontation tbqh. I can forgive that though, since there was a longer confrontation sequence beforehand. I also really liked most of the character interactions in this chapter, both with returning and new characters, so I think overall it was my favorite from the game.
Shinigami also incorporates several minor spirits that you confront throughout the game besides the boss spirits. I thought this inclusion was nice, and most of these encounters are simple enough that they’re not tedious. Their designs were good, but nothing standout.
Having another reoccurring “villain” like in NG was a fun plot device, and it was fun seeing the way Shibito’s appearance morphed and changed throughout the game as we learned more about them. I will say that I wasn’t particularly blown away by any of the designs, even in their final form, though. I still think Kakuya’s final form was the best out of the 3 games. Still, Shibito’s presence throughout the game was a fun way to keep the tension high. I also think the story behind Shibito’s grudge was really great; it was the perfect amount of sad, yucky, and scary, and I like how it incorporated lore explored in the other two games. I will say I was a little disappointed that the Hyakki Yagyo concept wasn’t really touched on, since my expectation coming into the game was that it’d play a larger role.
I also liked that one of the key aspects of the game was to determine the true identity of Shibito, even if I think I figured it out more quickly than the game anticipated. If you also figure it out quickly, it can make some “deduction” sections feel like a little bit of a slog. The game throws in a few red herrings and curveballs that complicate the mystery though, so I think it’ll still keep people on their toes for the most part.
The Characters
I enjoyed the way they portrayed Yashiki in this game for the most part and love him so much as a protagonist in general. I’ve seen some people complain that he seems a little weak-willed or overly hesitant, but I agree with that characterization, especially at this point in his development. I also have seen some people say that he seems ungrateful towards the former Mark Bearers that return to help him out, but to be honest like, I wouldn’t want these normal people getting involved in dangerous situations either, so I understand why he wouldn’t be over the moon about it LOL. I really loved being able to compare his character here to how he was in DM and see how he changed in the 4 month interval, and also how he changes throughout the game itself.
I won’t say I thought he was a great character throughout the game, though. Again, without trying to spoil too much, a big part of the story involves some of the new characters crushing on Yashiki / being attracted to him. I anticipated this tbh, but it was still slightly uncomfortable having underage girls express romantic interest towards him and him not immediately shutting it down. I get that he lived a reclusive life up until now, but he seems a little naïve and it can be frustrating at times. However, it’s established that Yashiki is someone who is easily affected by the feelings of others (both human and spirit) and one of his major flaws is that he has trouble denying these feelings even for his own sake, so it’s not as if this is something completely out of character. Even so, I didn’t particularly enjoy this aspect of the game and it’s part of the reason why I ended up preferring one ending over the other.
The returning characters are all good to see! I liked that some characters still played an important role even if they no longer function as partners, and I really really liked that the game offered some more insight into their interpersonal relationships with each other and not just with Yashiki. It was satisfying hearing some information that confirmed things for me. I also liked that they kept the mechanic where you have to have a certain partner in order to complete certain actions and progress the story, even if switching them out could be a bit annoying if the place you needed to go to was far away from the infirmary (which is like the home base like the mansion was in DM).
I... don’t want to sound too crazy and go off about the Mashita and Yashiki interactions, but I’ll just say that I was incredibly satisfied and have enough material to ponder to last me for a long time. I’ll leave it at that, for all of us.
I was a little worried since there were so many new characters, but I ended up liking most of them! I think my standout favorites are Sakamoto-sensei, Horikoshi, and Saki. I wish Saki and Abe had more screen time, since I enjoyed their scenes quite a lot. I like the principal and thought he was written well, though being written well made him (and Sakamoto) hard to handle in some instances lol. Sadly I didn’t particularly care for Himeko and Michiho, which could get a bit frustrating at times since they really ended up being front and center for a lot of the game.
The CGs + Art
Though you have a choice between two partners for the chapters with spirit cases, the partner who dies if the spirit isn’t fully purified is always fixed. That means there were only a total of 3 partner death CGs total. I was personally a little disappointed by this, since there were certain characters I really wanted to see, but for the narrative direction this game took it makes sense that only a few characters would be able to die (being that you can still technically get the “Good End” even if your partners die, and some partners are confirmed to still be alive in NG). I wasn’t too impressed by the Chapter 2 and 3 death CGs, but I liked the one from Chapter 5 a lot.
The “Bad End” CG, however, was one of my favorites in the game!! I think it makes sense that Yashiki gets the best CGs in the game, but I thought almost all of his were really really great. A few of the new characters also get some really great CGs. There are a few ones that just seem like pointless fanservice without actually being scary, but overall I liked the stills from this game.
I did feel some of the CGs and still images didn’t match up to the character sprites well, specifically the CGs of a certain character in Chapter 2. I think this is just due to the fact that these CGs were done by a different artist than the sprite artist, but it still bothers me slightly.
Speaking of the sprites, I personally prefer the ones from the first game. I felt like they got rid of a lot of Yashiki’s crustiness, which was what I like the most about his design LOL. He still retains a little bit of crustiness in some of the CGs, so at least that’s a win if you’re like me and miss it too. The new sprites ended up growing on me though. Everyone gets more facial expressions too, which is something I wish DM had. Overall, I think the art in this game was good and retains the feel from the other games.
The Endings
There are 3 possible endings; a Bad End, a Good End, and a True End. Unlike previous games, the Bad End doesn’t happen if you fail to save your partners, but rather if you fail to correctly deduce who Shibito is. It’s a short ending, but the CG you get is soooo worth it imho. The Good End happens if you correctly guess Shibito’s identity and survive the final encounter, but you fail to save all of the characters you could possibly have saved. The True End happens if you save all these characters, survive, and make a certain choice after the end of the final confrontation (if you saved all of the characters, but do not make this choice, you get the Good End instead). The True End is also only available after getting either the Bad End or the Good End first.
Between the Good and True Ends, I definitely liked the Good End more. I don’t think I can get into why I feel this way without outright talking about the endings, but I liked the way the Good End concluded the story and set up what was in store for Yashiki in the future. That being said, I didn’t totally dislike the True End. I think it’s definitely a much happier end, but I think some people might not like it and I completely understand why. Either way, I think both were satisfying in their own way, but the Good End felt more appropriate to me.
New Mechanics + Other Notes
I really love the new side-scrolling / movement function. I actually spent so much time just making them run around LOL, it was so entertaining. Everyone gets idle animations as well, which were really fun! Sometimes the selection sensitivity for investigation points can be annoying, but otherwise I don’t have any complaints. There’s also a fast travel feature that takes you back to the infirmary, which was a really nice feature. Returning to the infirmary also restores any HP lost during encounters. My only complaint is this movement system doesn’t particularly help build any tension or enhance the horror of the game, which can be a bit of a detriment to a “horror” game.
The Live or Die mechanic has now been replaced by something called Suspensive Act. To briefly explain: you expend HP to execute certain actions, which have a non-fixed success rate. You can either execute these acts as Yashiki, make your partner do it, or execute them together in tandem. My opinions on this are mostly mixed. For some reason I always have the worst luck with % based success rolls, so I had to redo some events multiple times, not because I was choosing the wrong options, but because I just kept failing rolls more than once. I’m glad they still allow you to start over from just before though, so it could be worse. I think once you know which answers are the correct ones you can end up brute forcing your way through these / the success rate stops being as important. I think it could have been refined a little better, but overall it works for what it is.
That being said, I like the introduction of more RPG elements and different characters having more success doing certain actions. While I don’t think it made much of a difference strategy-wise, since all partners can complete all actions and your success rate will always increase after you fail, it added more color to the world / helped strengthen their characterization imho. I also liked that for final encounters you could bring anyone along with you.
I also like the new leveling up / stats system. To summarize briefly, you collect items around the school while you’re investigating that can be traded for stat boosting items, which will then help you during Suspensive Acts. Collecting enough of these items can also allow you to level up, which increases your HP. I enjoyed having a reason to investigate lots of different things, and I think it was a good introduction to the mechanics of investigating and using tool combos for newer players. Finding all of the items in a chapter also unlocks character profiles, so there’s an incentive to hunting for them.
The soundtrack is good as always! There are some really great new songs, some pretty good remasters of older songs, and some returning classics. They tend to play the same few songs all the time, which I know is exactly how it was in the first game, but I think with a larger soundtrack available the overuse kind of bugged me. The sound design is really good aside from one or two instances where it felt kind of off, and the UI is insanely good imho. I loved the different menus and designs and I hope they retain some of the stylistic choices in the English version.
There’s so much more voice acting in Shinigami too, which was sooooo fun. Again, I felt like it really helped flesh out the characters and made it a more immersive experience.
What to Expect for Death Mark II
I do not envy Aksys one bit LOLLLL. This is their comeuppance for changing that one Mashita line in DM; a game full of puns and word play that will make no sense translated directly into English, along with more Japanese religious / cultural aspects that won’t be obvious to overseas players. I honestly don’t know how they’re going to tackle certain things, but that’s why it’s their job and not mine, so good luck to them!!
Additionally, I’d say the CGs for this game are a lot more grotesque and explicit than the other two games. I don’t really see how they’d censor some of the CGs too, so I don’t think they can take a Red Riding Hood approach either. I assume it’ll probably get the standard M rating, but I think it’s important to note the CGs are a bit more graphic here.
I am interested in seeing how they’ll tackle certain things though, and I’m looking forward to comparing my experience playing in Japanese and playing in English.
Final Thoughts
After I finished my initial playthrough, I walked away thinking this was a game about love. I don’t really know how to put my thoughts into words without giving away major parts of the game, but I think love is the most important element in every aspect: both the positive and negative effects that love, or the desire for love, can have on people; what happens when that love isn’t returned, that love is betrayed, or that love is stolen away; and how such a strong emotion continues to have an effect even after death. And I think all good horror always has a little bit of love in it.
I’m don’t think I prefer this game over DM in the end, but I don’t really want to compare the two. Even though they’re in the same series, they felt like very different games trying to tell different stories. Both games have strengths and weaknesses narrative-wise, but I guess it depends on what type of story you prefer. I think though, if I had to compare them in simple terms, it would be that Death Mark is a game about Yashiki figuring out who he is, while Shinigami is a game about him defining who he is. Whether that person is someone we end up liking or not will depend on the player I think.
That being said, I think Shinigami is an improvement in many ways. It feels much sleeker, has less overly confusing puzzles, has more CGs and location art, more in-depth characterization of its returning cast, and incorporates a lot of fun new gameplay elements. Though it simplifies things, sometimes overly so, it at times is also more confusing than it needs to be. But once you figure out the system it becomes relatively easier! I finished my first run through in about 22 hours, but I think there’s more replay value for completion runs and collecting all the items.
Overall, I had fun playing it and it met my expectations for the most part. I’m looking forward to future playthroughs and I’ll continue to think about the game for a while. I hope everyone who’s looking forward to it will be satisfied too!!

✨ PINNED POST ✨
⚠ WARNING ⚠ I don't care who follows me, so I post and reblog whatever I want. This can include disturbing subjects, heavy gore, sexual themes, nudity, etc. Enter at your own risk, blah blah blah, you know the drill.
⭐ Hi, I'm Possum, and this is my main blog where I post whatever's on my mind. I write & draw, so you'll see some of the stuff I make around here. I also like to ramble, so you'll see me talking a lot.
(More info under the cut)
💬 QnA 💬
Q: What are you interested in? / What do you blog about? A: My current fixation is the Spirit Hunter series, specifically Death Mark I & II (I haven't watched/played NG yet). But I am also into: TMNT, One Piece, Claymore, STH, Motorcity, Transformers, Undertale/Deltarune, DC, Marvel, ATLA/TLOK, HTTYD, SGRB, The Long Dark, Spirit Farer, and many other things...
Q: What is your tagging system? / How do you tag your posts? A: I tag my original posts with whichever category they go into (talking, art, etc.), and if it's a fandom post, I also tag it with the media it belongs to.
Q: Do you take requests? / What am I allowed to request? A: Requests are always open, just keep in mind that I take a loooong time to answer them (And lots of times I save them to my drafts and they end up collecting dust). And you can request literally anything, whether it be gore, ships, your favourite character, art, drabbles, etc. I take any and all requests (Although I might not always do them).
Q: What do you use to draw? / What apps do you use to draw? A: I use my Galaxy Tab S6 lite, either by itself or connected to my Windows PC via SuperDisplay, and I switch between using Krita, Sketchbook Pro, or Infinite Painter.
Q: Why didn't you tag this post as ship? / Can I tag this post as ship? A: If I didn't tag a post as ship, that's because the characters involved were drawn in a platonic/familial/otherwise general relationship in mind; basically, it's because it isn't ship art. But if you want to tag it as ship, go for it. It doesn't affect me, so I don't care.
Q: What other websites do you use? / Can I find you anywhere else? A: You can find my more "polished" (I'm using that term very lightly) writing on Ao3, although I have very little posted there at the moment; I'm working towards amending that in the future. As for other social media and such, ehhh, not really. Nothing worth linking here, at least.

I am also the type of person who is easily angry, brave, and has a fear of God. God Is Important because he Is what we care about. Even if we have a problem or are sick, let's just pray always so that the Lord God will guide us because he gave us our life and It Is our loan to him. And my hobbies are playing cell phones, riding bikes, and tinkering with machinery such as motors and others.

LADIES AND GENTLEMAN! (SETLIST)
Make way for (a band who is not) THEY MIGHT BE GIANTS!!!!!
Thank you to everyone who came out to last night's show. I didn't realize until we finished that the show went on for so long.
But it's probably because of how many songs we played.
Before we begin, here is a sort of key to explain certain things in the text below...
This means that I sang a song and no one else.
This means that I sang a song, with Chao on backing vocals.
This means that Magnifo sang a song, with me on backing vocals.
This means that I sang a song, with Magnifo and Chao on backing vocals.
This means that Magnifo sang a song, with Chao and I on backing vocals.
When "->" is shown right before a song's name, it means that we went right into that song, with little to no banter.
Alright, here's the setlist for last night's show (with fun facts for some of them):
Act I - Tape Recorder Set:
(began with Countdown Intro over the PA)
1. Put Your Head Inside The Puppet Head
Played in the original key.
During the bridge, I yelled "AWESOME GUITAR SOLO" a bunch, similar to how John Flansburgh did that once when playing this song back in 1987.
2. Cowtown
Due to people being asked to stay seated, we asked the audience to pretend that they were doing a square dance.
3. Whistling In The Dark
W/ Magnifo playing the chest-mounted bass drum.
Played in B Major, like how the Johns played it before the backing band (rather than C Major like how it's played nowadays).
Before the song started, we stated that the bass drum only purpose was for this song.
4. Kiss Me, Son Of God
Before the song started, I made a passing reference to the time that TMBG played this song on TV, but then the broadcast stopped once they sang a certain part of the song.
5. Birdhouse In Your Soul
Played in the original key, just like how it was played back in 1989.
Before the song started, I jokingly stated that because of the different key, the song hadn't been played in nearly 35 years.
6. Particle Man
Before the song started, I mentioned that one of the characters in the song (Triangle Man) was the main character in Kiss Me, Son Of God (referencing a Linnell interview from 1990).
7. Nothing's Gonna Change My Clothes
Before the song started, Magnifo joked about how this song only applied to him and I, since we were the only Mixels wearing clothes that night.
8. The Statue Got Me High
9. I've Got A Match
Before the song started, I apologized for stating that Birdhouse hadn't been played in decades, and that I got my notes mixed up.
For some reason, the audience was booing me for this (at least until I revealed that the next song was "I've Got A Match").
10. Sapphire Bullets Of Pure Love
Introduced as '"stelluB" in reverse"'.
11. Dig My Grave
Right before the song started, I stated that when you first played the album Apollo 18, you would hear this song.
12. 32 Footsteps
W/ Magnifo playing the "Special 20" harmonica.
Similar to Whistling In The Dark, I stated that the only reason this particular harmonica was created was for this song.
13. Ana Ng
W/ Chao singing the "I don't the world" part.
14. Shoehorn With Teeth
W/ Chao playing the glockenspiel.
Magnifo and Chao wore long, rolled-up carpets for hats. When asked why I didn't wear one, I said "Does this look like a head that you could fit a hat like that on?"
15. Your Racist Friend
16. -> Lucky Ball & Chain
17. Lie Still, Little Bottle
W/ Chao on the saxophone, and me using my tail as the percussion in place of "The Stick", since Gobba (the one in charge of keeping an eye on The Stick) wasn't feeling well.
18. Rhythm Section Want Ad
At least twice, I impulsively replaced "dollar signs" with "dollop signs" (dollops are the currency in the Chowder universe btw).
In the 2nd run-through of the "Olive Oil on purpose" part, I sang "You guys must be into Oasis!" instead of "Eurythmics", for some reason.
Act II - Full Band Set (began after a 10-minute intermission):
(Began with "They Might Be Giants (Alt. Version)" over the PA)
19. She's An Angel
After the song, we stated that we weren't done with the older song just yet, and that some would be played during this set.
20. Experimental Film
I introduced the song my mentioning the music video made by the Brothers Chaps from Homestar Runner.
Speaking of the Brothers Chaps, yes, I have seen the new music video for Limozeen's "Zeenin' Into The Night". In fact, I've watched it quite a few times already.
21. Why Does The Sun Shine?
No, I didn't say anything weird for the "nuclear reaction between..." part. That's Footi's thing, not mine.
22. -> Twisting
23. Older
During the "And time... is till marching on" part, I briefly made it seem like we were gonna do the long pause that TMBG does when they play Older live, but then I said that I was just kidding only a few seconds later.
24. Brontosaurus
Featuring our horn section on this and the next song (now if only I could remember all the members of the horn section. Was Burnard one of the members?).
25. Doctor Worm
W/ I Enjoy Being A Boy during the bridge.
I dedicated this song to Parnell from the Mighty Bug 5, since he also plays the drums, just like the titular Doctor Worm.
26. Absolutely Bill's Mood
Yes, I did the "thank you" bit. Why would I not?
27. -> You're On Fire
We replaced "Oh d**n" with "Oh man". I don't think anyone in the audience noticed.
28. Stuff Is Way
29. T-Shirt
Since the sound song is very clearly inspired by it, we did a bit of interpolating with Led Zeppelin's Moby Dick at the end.
30. -> (She Was A) Hotel Detective
Featuring the horn section again.
31. Prevenge
The "calling Mr. Pupkin" part was played over the PA, just like TMBG did when they played this song live.
32. Unforgotten
33. They Got Lost
We specifically played what I called the "medium version that was played in September 1997", rather than the slow or fast versions.
34. Lazy
35. Sleeping in the Flowers
Played for John Henry's 30th anniversary.
While I took on Linnell's vocals in the chorus, I also did the "I've got a..." part, due to Magnifo's limited vocal range.
36. Fingertips:
Everything Is Catching On Fire
Fingertips (#1)
I Hear The Wind Blow
Hey Now Everybody
Who Is That Standing Out The Window
I Found A New Friend Underneath My Pillow
Come On And Wreck My Car
Aren't You The Guy Who Hit Me In The Eye?
Please Pass The Milk
Leave Me Alone
Who's Knocking On The Wall?
All Alone, All By Myself
What's That Blue Thing Doing Here?
Something Grabbed Ahold Of My Hand
I Don't Understand You
I Heard A Sound
Mysterious Whisper (we asked the crowd to sway their arms around during this part)
The Day That Love Came To Play
I'm Having A Heart Attack
Fingertips (#2)
I Walk Along Darkened Corridors (complete with the rocking outro)
Encore (tape-recorder returns):
37. Thinking Machine
All lights were turned off for this, since all we needed to do was sing.
This was the hardest song I tried to sing last night... mainly because I could barely keep a straight face from how stupid and silly some of Magnifo's lyrics were.
38. Mr. Me
39. Don't Let's Start
Alright, that's everything. See you again tomorrow for another Fridays picture!

I like how, for the final duel, there is a segment for each of the three protagonists, before you push a final "work together to end Aldric" button. Not only does it show the villain's strength as he takes on multiple heroes, but it gives all of them a chance to shine!
Having been able to find a list of the Character Epilogues I can read at my own pace, I've got a few favorites...under cut for length...
Wyler being an overprotective big bro to Marin. She's a teenager, Wyler. As long as she's not doing anything too frisky, let her go!
Celia and Kurtz having twins, then debating if the boys should be chefs or not.
Marisa surprised me by wanting to open a dessert shop. Not only is there nothing about a sweet tooth in her divinations, but her Favorite Food in the Cooking Battle is a chicken dish.
Ivy and Pohl both working to turn technology of war (rune arms and rune tanks respectively) into stuff that can benefit society. It isn't surprising due to things they've both said during the game, but it's sweet. Mihlu shows how the rune arms can be used for good (since Aldric took his real one) while rune tanks could be the basis to other vehicles.
Yulin is totally jealous of Perrielle when Euma visits her! I KNEW she was crushing on him!
Allaby wants to marry Wayve, who is unsuccessfully looking for a bride. I mean...she's SEVEN! No wonder Garoo is fretting about his daughter if she's not even a teenager and chasing older men around.
And finally...Francisca is still working as a nurse and is kicking the more unruly patients out of the clinic! Never change, you psycho woman, you!
Overall, I will be interested in how they'd take a sequel since it has been brought up as a possibility. If it's only a few years, like between the first two Suikoden games, I could see a bunch of repeat characters. While if it's a gap of more 15-20 years (III was 15 years after II), perhaps some of the younger kids/teens return while some of the older characters might have kids/apprentices.
Riufan's ending mentions him looking for a successor, in fact. A shorter gap might have him choosing a certain character you recruit in his epilogue, a longer gap would be more like a Viktor to Edge situation (though with less offloading of an ornery sword). While the longer gap could easily find a good fit for Kurtz and Celia's twins. I could see one boy following his parents' as a chef and the other being a fighter with no kitchen skills. Perhaps you get the chef son first and his brother joins during the Cooking Battle. Though, to be different from how their parents' story went, they're separated but the warrior bro comes in and saves his twin from an assassin who tried to kill him after losing a cooking battle...
Gonna play around in the postgame for some of the other stuff I can do around the HQ. Then...at least one run with NG+ and beating up everything with OP characters!

Get Cozy with These 6 Books Perfect for a Night In
Tumblr media
When the weather outside is frightful, there's nothing better than curling up with a good book. But with so many options out there, it can be hard to know where to start. That's why we've put together a list of six books that are perfect for a cozy night in. 1. The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah This historical fiction novel tells the story of two sisters, Vianne and Isabelle, in Nazi-occupied France during World War II. Vianne is a wife and mother who must learn to survive as her town is taken over by the Germans, while her younger sister Isabelle becomes an active member of the French resistance. The novel explores the relationship between the sisters, as well as their individual struggles and triumphs in the face of adversity. It's a heart-wrenching tale that highlights the themes of love, loss, and the strength of the human spirit, and reminds us of the bravery and sacrifice of those who fought against oppression during one of the darkest periods in human history. 2. The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho This modern classic, which has captured the hearts of readers around the world, follows the journey of a young shepherd boy who yearns for something more. Driven by a sense of wanderlust, he sets out on a journey of self-discovery, encountering a variety of challenges and obstacles along the way. Along the journey, he learns valuable lessons about the nature of love, the meaning of life, and the pursuit of happiness, gaining a deeper understanding of himself and the world around him. Through his experiences, he comes to realize the importance of following his dreams, even in the face of adversity, and the power of never giving up on what truly matters. With its timeless themes and engaging narrative, this book is a must-read for anyone seeking inspiration and enlightenment. 3. The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows Set in the aftermath of World War II, this novel tells the story of Juliet Ashton, a London writer who is looking for a new subject to write about. Through a series of chance encounters, Juliet becomes pen pals with a group of residents on the island of Guernsey, who share with her their experiences during the German occupation of the island. As Juliet delves deeper into their stories, she discovers the true meaning of friendship, love, and the power of literature to connect people across time and distance. The novel is a charming and heartwarming tale that captures the resilience of the human spirit in the face of adversity. 4. The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern This captivating fantasy novel follows two young magicians competing against each other in a mysterious circus that only appears at night. The story takes us to a magical world where anything is possible. Along the way, we meet a fascinating cast of characters who each have their own secrets and motivations. The novel is filled with vivid descriptions and richly imagined settings that transport readers to a place where dreams come true. It's a perfect read for fans of fantasy and anyone looking for an immersive and engaging story. 5. Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng Set in Shaker Heights, Ohio, this novel intertwines the lives of two families in unexpected ways. It explores motherhood and its complexities, as well as themes of identity, self-discovery, and human connections. The richly developed characters provide a multifaceted look at their lives and experiences, inviting readers to examine their own beliefs. This poignant portrayal of the human experience is sure to resonate with readers from all walks of life. 6. The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald This classic novel is set during the Roaring Twenties, exploring themes of love, wealth, and the American Dream. The characters are complex, and the novel offers a nuanced look at the society of the time. It's a must-read for anyone interested in literature or history, and remains relevant today. "Escape into these cozy books and let yourself be transported to another world." Curling up with a good book is satisfying. However, choosing which book to read can be overwhelming. Here are six books that are perfect for a night of literary bliss. They range from gripping thrillers to heartwarming romance and thought-provoking non-fiction. With something for everyone, grab a blanket, make yourself a cup of tea, and settle in for a memorable night of reading. Read the full article

Doom WADs’ Roulette Bonus Round: Chord 1
As I mentioned a few days ago, before I’ll tackle the roster of the Cacowards 2005 winners, I’ll do four to five bonus rounds of WADs/maps. While this subseries started with focusing on maps/WADs related to the ones from the main series, I decided that it would be a great idea to extend it to more WADs/maps, particularly the ones reviewed by MtPain27, and to be even more precise, the ones that didn’t end up in the Top 100 WADs of All Time list from 2003, Cacowards, Top 100 Most Memorable Maps list and Top 25 Missed Cacowards list (the two latter ones from 2018) since these will obviously be reviewed in the future.
Now with that out of the way, let’s take a trip back to 1997, with the series I encountered before.
B8: Chord 1
Tumblr media
Main author(s): Malcolm Sailor
Release date: May 15th, 1997 (database upload)
Version played: ???
Required port compatibility: Vanilla
Levels: 1 (MAP25)
Yes, folks. We are going back to the Chord series. I took a look at three installments of this series (NG, G, and 3 to be exact), all of which ended up in the previously mentioned Top 100 WADs of All Time. The first two installments weren’t put on the list because there wasn’t enough space for three of these in the 1997 section. Now it is time for me to find out how it all started. With a truly original title: Chord 1.
small clapping
Tumblr media
Chord 1 looks fine. I don’t want to go harsh on this map since it’s the first one in the series and it was released in 1997, but overall, it looks rather standard. Nothing really comes out interesting asides from probably the exit area located outdoors, in front of a building that the author describes as some kind of demonic mansion or some shit.
Tumblr media
This map is easy to understand. Sometimes you might get confused and sometimes the backtracking smells of arse, but after my second encounter with the 007 WAD, the map’s gameplay feels like a masterpiece compared to that filth.
Tumblr media
Chord 1 is also easy when it comes to enemies. While the author claims that this map is as hard as Doom II on Ultra Violence if played on HMP, it still ended up like a cakewalk. Grabbing both Invun and Berserk at the start to pummel two skeletons never gets old.
Tumblr media
And that’s all for Chord 1. Typical map of its time and rather simple, but it has a chance to give you fun while playing it and it gives the potential for future installments (except Chord NG).
The next map on the bonus list is Chord 2, so stick around in a few days.
Bye!

ARTICLE 36 OF THE FAMILY CODE OF THE PHILIPPINES
CASE DIGEST
REPUBLIC OF THE PHILIPPINES, Petitioner, vs. REGHIS M. ROMERO II and OLIVIA LAGMAN ROMERO, Respondents.
G.R. No. 209180 February 24, 2016
PERLAS-BERNABE, J.:
FACTS:
Reghis and Olivia were married on May 11, 1972 at the Mary the Queen Parish in San Juan City and were blessed with two (2) children, namely, Michael and Nathaniel, born in 1973 and 1975, respectively. The couple first met in Baguio City in 1971 when Reghis helped Olivia and her family who were stranded along Kennon Road. Since then, Reghis developed a closeness with Olivia’s family, especially with the latter’s parents who tried to play matchmakers for Reghis and Olivia. In the desire to please Olivia’s parents, Reghis courted Olivia and, eventually, they became sweethearts.
Reghis was still a student at the time, determined to finish his studies and provide for the financial needs of his siblings and parents. Thus, less than a year into their relationship, Reghis tried to break-up with Olivia because he felt that her demanding attitude would prevent him from reaching his personal and family goals. Olivia, however, refused to end their relationship and insisted on staying with Reghis at the latter’s dormitory overnight. Reghis declined and, instead, made arrangements with his friends so that Olivia could sleep in a female dormitory. The next day, Reghis brought Olivia home and while nothing happened between them the previous night, Olivia’s parents believed that they had eloped and planned for them to get married. Reghis initially objected to the planned marriage as he was unemployed and still unprepared. However, Olivia’s parents assured him that they would shoulder all expenses and would support them until they are financially able. As Olivia’s parents had treated him with nothing but kindness, Reghis agreed.
ISSUE: Whether or not the Court of Appeals erred in sustaining the RTC's declaration of nullity on the ground of psychological incapacity.
RULING: Yes, in a Decision dated November 5, 2008, the RTC granted the petition and declared the marriage between Reghis and Olivia null and void ab initio on the ground of psychological incapacity. It relied on the findings and testimony of Dr. Basilio, holding that Reghis suffered from a disorder that rendered him unable to perform the obligations of love, respect and fidelity towards Olivia as it gave him a strong obsession to succeed in his career, to the exclusion of his responsibilities as a father and husband. It also concurred with Dr. Basilio’s observation that Reghis is still deeply attached to his parents and siblings such that he pursues his business ventures for their benefit. Likewise, it agreed that Reghis’ behavioral disorder existed even before his marriage or even his adolescent years and that the same is incurable.
Anent the issue of res judicata, the RTC remarked that there is no identity of causes of action between the petitions previously filed, which ascribed psychological incapacity on Olivia’s part, and the present case which is brought on the ground of Reghis’ own psychological incapacity.
The Republic and Olivia moved for reconsideration, which was, however, denied by the RTC in a Resolution dated July 3, 2009. Undaunted, both appealed29 to the CA.

Word of God
5. TELL THEM IT’S IMPOSSIBLE TO FOLLOW JESUS. *As they continue to progress in their spiritual journey, it won’t be long before they begin to think that living the Christian life is impossible. *This is your chance to wholeheartedly agree with them. *The truth is, it’s beyond anyone’s ability (in their own strength). *Encourage them to memorize these words of Jesus: “Apart from me you can do nothing” (John 15:5). *They’ll need to learn how to live in partnership with Jesus, leaning on his strength daily. *Introduce them to the Spirit-Filled Life Teaching, which is all about living a life directed and empowered by the Spirit. . John 15:5 [5]“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. *If you're foundation is wrong, you will be destroyed. *God's love is deeper than the oceans. *Impossible to obey if your foundation is wrong. *If you're foundation is right everything will flow. *Remain in Christ and continue to be fruitful. *Remain on focus. *If you are facing problems how you cope with it? *Being a leader show first how to obey. *If you refuses to follow God walang mawawala sa Kanya sayo meron. *The most important relationship is the relationship with the Lord. *The important is you STILL. *Without God we can do nothing. *Kung ano ang sinusundan mo dun dun sila susunod sayo. *Kung saan ko dun ka. *Mahirap maging Kristiyano pag wala sayo si Kristo. *Sumumpong ka sa Panginoon. *God is looking after your fruits *Be wise in your decision. *Paano ka papatawarin ng Panginoon kung hindi mo aaminin ang kasalanan mo. *Guard your heart. It is deceitful. *Proverbs 4:23 *kung ang puso mo wala sa Panginoon, you will be lost. Jesus is our vine, c. I am the vine, you are the branches: Jesus perhaps spoke so perhaps because they were so accustomed to thinking of Israel as the vine and thought mainly in terms of their connection to Israel. They now had to think of Jesus as the vine, and emphasize their connection to Him. d. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit: Fruit bearing is inevitable with abiding. The quality and quantity of the fruit may differ, but the presence of fruit will be inevitable. i. The purpose of the branch is to bear fruit. Though there are uses for grape leaves, people don’t raise grape vines to look at the pretty leaves. They take the trouble to cultivate, plant, water and tend the vines so that fruit can be enjoyed. In this sense, we can say that fruit represents Christian character (such as the fruit of the Spirit in Galatians 5). God’s work in us and our connection to Him should be evident by fruit, and perhaps by much fruit. e. Without Me you can do nothing: It isn’t that they disciples could do no activity without Jesus. They could be active without Him, as were the enemies of Jesus and many others. Yet they and we could do nothing of real, eternal value without Jesus. i. “The ‘I am’ comes out in the personal word ‘me,’ and the claim of all power unveils the Omnipotent. These words mean Godhead or nothing.” (Spurgeon) ii. “It is only by union with Him that any branch can bear fruit: once that union is broken, the sap no longer flows; and fruit in that branch is no longer possible, though the remains of the sap that lay in it may be enough to bear leaves and so for a time give semblance of life.” (Trench) iii. “Paul does not use the Johannine idiom but he expresses the same truth when he says, ‘It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me’ (Galatians 2:20), and ‘I can do all things in him who strengthens me’ (Philippians 4:13).” (Bruce) iv. “‘Without me ye can do nothing;’ if this be true of apostles, much more of opposers! If his friends can do nothing without him, I am sure his foes can do nothing against him.” (Spurgeon)

#OnlyOnOneNETnews: Betting and Earning Apps in the Philippines becomes a reality to make money online with the integration of GCash
DUMAGUETE, NEGROS ORIENTAL -- When you feel unemployed, needing for an extra income, or even a job with less experience during the post-Pandemic of Coronavirus Disease-19 (CoViD-19)... Our selected news employees at OneNETnews have discovered some of the best betting and earning apps per integration with your mobile payment partner in our country.
GCash is the first cashless system in the Philippines by Globe Telecom in October 2004 offering SMS-based domestic money transfer nationwide that does not require bank accounts or credit cards considering 115.6M people in our country's population were unbanked or underbanked this year in 2022. This was now a parent company called Mynt (Globe Fintech Innovations Inc.) and tops to #1 mobile financial app according to App Annie where you can virtually send money, pay the utility bills, topping up the telco loads in any networks and other benefits.
Betting apps for the unregulated virtual casinos in every mobile application such as Diamond Game, Aurora Game, Phoenix Game, Thor Game and Kabibe Game which all of these have not part of the gambling regulators of Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR).
While SunPower and APower combined, these are all real and trusted legitimate paying apps in this generation today. It was founded in 1985 where the headquarters of SunPower located in San Jose, California, United States of America (U.S.A.), with a regional office in Nigeria and right here in our country's branch in mid-March 2004 -- offering virtual Solar Products for a clean and more efficient energy into cash.
APower is also located in Silicon Valley, the same city of San Jose in 2019 offers shared power bank services in the West Coast of America. It's like a charging rental station for your emergencies to your smartphone in case the Negros Oriental Electric Cooperative 2 (NORECO II) are having a scheduled or unexpected local brownouts for the Negrosanons. Today in our same country, the company has expanded here in the Philippines in May 2022.
Both of the earning apps are fully regulated by the Philippine government officials and GCash is supervised by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) as according to the Telegram chats and a report from the Manila Bulletin.
The advantage with a purpose of both worlds are in endless possibilities. You get the most benefits to cash out with the responsible gaming first and the right to invest. Not only with your money that suits you the best, you can make an online purchase legally such as GCash, PayPal, Netflix, Physical Cash in real life and even pay most of the Utility Bills, Government Payments & Philippine Banks. Everything is safe and secured when needed to.
Disadvantages of gambling and invest the same both worlds are at risk for scammers, losing money without anything knowledge or in isolation for nothing. Some people were wasting more time and less effort which are hard to understand without a background check first.
It is a very good idea to research anything first in every tutorial and a lot of data mining before you sign up to make money online with your verified GCash account.
Earning money via a mobile application isn't really easy, which is the same thing to buy a lottery ticket when you beat the odds right. It takes a lot of patience until you succeed it the right way.
SHORT SIDE NOTE: We are not fully sponsored for SunPower and APower as of this writing. Think about as a strategy guide from our news team of OneNETnews where you can help you decide to either earn and invest yourself a big personal income or lose it all to gamble. It's up to you to change your life to make money the most professional way possible.

For the Jumbo Ask Game I am curious abt what you would say abt all of them for Mika, but for Ease, how abt 💋 🍊 🌳 💧 💗 specifically ??
hey ii! ask and ye shall recieve
💋 How affectionate are they with their friends? Their family? Their romantic partner(s) (if they have any)? Are they more physical or emotional when it comes to displaying their affection? Why?
Extremely! Exceedingly! Hes clingy, touchy, affectionate, and so on. a big part of his persona is being touchy-feely-affectionate to everyone all the time. its cutesy! and hes more physical than emotional bc really, hes not technically very emotional at all. friends, family, and loved ones all get similar treatment
🍊 What is your OC’s favourite meal? Snack? Dessert? Drink? Any reasons behind this besides liking how it tastes?
His favorite food is cake. Any kind, but he really likes cupcakes and those strawberry cream cakes. His diet is basically 90% sweets. So that also answers the dessert question. The only meat he eats is fish, but he does actually like it quite a bit. Oh and his safe food is miso soup bc Liquid. and drink... boba milk tea w those little strawberry ball things i dunno what they are called
🌳 Compare your OC to themself from 10 years ago. How has their mental state changed since then, how have they aged and grown up? Would they say they’re in a better place than they were back then or do they need help? What advice would they give their younger self? What advice would their younger self give to them now?
What advice? Don’t trust doctors. Invest in arson. Put stickers on your baseball bat.  Yes hes in a better place. Like physically he is no longer in the shitty place he lived as a kid. So like, top tier. Mentally? [noncommittal wiggly handgesture] Advice from his younger self? Stop getting left for dead in ditches dumbass.
💧 What is the earliest memory your OC can recall? Do they know what their first words were or remember where they took their first steps? Do they have any mementos of their childhood they’ve kept such as a stuffed toy or tiny baby clothes?
His earliest memory is sitting alone in a pitch dark closet for an indetermined amount of time, afraid. Not exactly a nice one First words.. he doesnt know them! I dunno if anyone does. It was probably “no” lmao. He was an oppositional little man Mementos from childhood... dont think so! hes got an old stuffed rabbit but i think he got that around age 13 and just hung on to it
💗 What would your OC say is their best feature? Why? What do their friends / family / lover(s) / people they know think is their best feature and why?
Okay if you ask he’ll say his hair in a kind of jokey way, and if you really press he’ll say his ability to get along with anyone. Those are both lies. What he actually thinks his best feature is is his ability to lie and adapt. He does not tend to say this outloud for obvious reasons. As for friends and family... Tau thinks his best feature is his devotion to his loved ones, Shishi says its his intelligence, aki says its his [REDACTED], and vee has been banned from answering this question

The Story of Tonight and Dear Theodosia are great questions !!
Thank you!
Talk about some of the best times you've had with friends.
I’m so lucky, I have great times so often, it’s hard to pick. But some of the ones I think about often are:
going for midnight ice-cream with the twins in California after seeing Soft Power in LA, going to a nearby park and sitting on the swings and talking and eating our very very good ice-cream (mine was like... lavender tea with mochi bits?) and I was doing prime goofing because I was so happy and wanted to make them laugh
catching the evening ferry over the bay and walking through Vancouver city at night with @kaitlinliveshere, through Gastown, and the haunted park, and along the pier, and having to say goodbye was one of the hardest things I ever had to do
the months it took for my friends and I to co-op play our way through Amnesia: The Dark Descent and finished the game on the evening of our graduation, which was the triumph of our final year
hanging out with my weird best friend/not-boyfriend in high school like once a month at the quarry, throwing rocks at each other, or jumping fences to get into local school-grounds and getting up to shenanigans, menacing our other friends on the regular
every Wine Night
each Friday when I would meet up with the same two friends at our favourite cool, niche little tea place and hang out for a few hours, which was basically my favourite ritual for that year of my life
the irrepressible curses you and I do to each other, every conversation (but especially FJH, and the very good songs)
What's one nice thing you wish you could say to someone right now?
I do my best to say the nice things I think of when I think of them, because I want people to know when they’re being great, or when I’m proud of them, or love them, all that. But what I’ve been thinking a lot lately is I wish I was better at being kind to myself. I wish I was better at saying nice things to myself, and better at letting myself be imperfect or in progress, and better at just... letting myself have fun being alive instead of always asking inhuman things of myself to justify taking up space. So what I’m saying is:
You’re enough. You’re good enough. You’re worthy. Your joy is worthwhile.
