Cleaning up Hush! Feat. Beep and Ishy for support, Part 1 - Skinning, Washing, and Brushing!

Don't worry buddy, it won't hurt a bit, Beep will make sure you're taken care of!

See? Nothing to it! I got lucky, and there was only glue holding Hush's skin down. It wasn't brittle to the point of crumbling, so I was able to carefully peel most of it off without any fuss!

Bath time! Ishy stepped in to offer words of encouragement, as our resident Senior Buddy and expert in bath taking. Since we don't have any furby elders around, she'll do her best to stand in!

Beep reminded me when soak time was up and we needed to get scrubbing :> Thank you, Beep!

Scrubbing done for now! I wasn't sure if I would need to do a second wash once it was dry and brushed and I could better see any odd spots, but it turned out good. For now, it gets swaddled and tucked under a weighted blanket- what? We don't have any weighted blankets?? Uhh...

...Well, this'll do! Hush is gonna take a nap and wake up feeling nice and dry, and suspiciously better at cooking... I ought to make sure it doesn't absorb all the words off my books' pages while I'm not looking.

And here we are! All clean and brushed as best I could get! I'm letting it air dry just a little more to be safe, it felt dry on the outside but a little humid inside when I was holding it for brushes. I'm planning to go back over the seams with a small pin later to see if I can gently pull free some of the fur that got sewn into the seams in production, or if those are too firmly stuck in there to safely pull on.

Funny Toys Rock & Roll Star

A knockoff of Tyco’s Rock N Roll Elmo toy by an unknown company. I’m not sure who found the eBay listing, but I didn’t find this. The bootleggers copied the box really well, especially the back of the box where they only replaced a picture of a child with a photo of a Rock N Roll Elmo. The eBay listing is here if anyone is interested, but it’s expensive.

There’s no video of this knockoff in action, but there’s a video of a knockoff Rock N Roll Ernie which is probably from the same company and a video of a bear version. The bear one plays “Coco Jambo”, while Ernie plays “Ba Kkwo”.
