“HA! Take that, loser!” your friend yells into his headset, jumping out of his seat and pointing at the screen as if the person on the other end could see him.  You roll your eyes, shaking your head at his childish antics.  “Baek ... .I'm trying to get some work done here…” you sigh and he looks over, his silly face changing to one of apology as he covers his mouth.  “Yeah, ok, next time, sure sure…yep-bye!” he says, then he’s removing the headset and making his way over to the couch where you have your books out.  

“Why are you even here?” you ask as he plops down next to you, leaning against you to look down at what you’re currently working on.  “Hmm? What is this?” he asks, looking over the notebook you’re writing in.  “Just collecting thoughts on an essay, nothing you’d be interested in.  It’s for my lit class.” you murmur, bumping his shoulder to push him off.  He just grins at you and bumps you back, then rests his head on your shoulder.

“Y/nnnn….” he whines and you sigh, closing the notebook.  “What, Baekhyun?” you ask, somewhat irritated.  He’d asked to come over and all he did was get on and play games with his friends online.  Sometimes you wanted to kick him right in his smug little face.  But you were weak for his puppy eyes.  The ones looking up at you now.  

“Are you gonna make us dinner?” he asks, blinking those brown eyes at you that you couldn’t resist.  “You don’t deserve to eat, moron.  You come over here and just want to use my computer to play games.  Go home and eat.” you say, standing up and letting him fall onto the now vacant space.  “Awww, come on! I’m sorry-Taeyong said he could beat me and I had to prove him wrong!” he says, bringing out his bottom lip.  That pout was a weakness of yours and he knew it.  Turning, you pretend to ignore him, but really you’re hiding a smile.  

“Y/n!” Pleaaaase…” he begs and you feel him wrapping his arms around you from behind.  “Please? I’ll pay attention to you, promise! What did you want to talk about? School? Dramas? Writing? Whatever you want.” he says, resting his chin on your shoulder.  “Hmm…fine. I’ll cook, you can keep me company. Let’s talk about…” you think, trying to settle on something that wouldn’t be video games or him harassing you about something.  There was one thing…. You think as you bite your lip.  

Eyeing your long time friend, former crush, current pain the ass, you contemplate as you put together something you can both consume.  He was sitting at the little island separating the living area from the kitchen, kicking his feet as he sat on the stool watching you.  “Baek…” you start and he tilts his head at you.  “Hm?” he pops a strawberry in his mouth as he smiles mischievously. 

Smacking his hand away from the food, you shake your head at him.  “Seriously, you’re so impatient.” you ‘tch’ at him and he just sticks his tongue out at you.  “So, what is it? You’ve got that look.” he says, leaning forward with a smirk.  “You’ve got something on your mind, so tell me.” he wiggles as he makes a funny face at you and you can only roll your eyes.  Briefly, you wonder how you ever had a crush on him, he was so ridiculous. 

“You know me so well.” you say, somewhat sarcastically, but then you decide to change the subject.  “I’m going out with Jongin tomorrow night, so you know.” you say, turning your back on him to flip some pancakes.  “Out?” he echoes and you hum a response,  busying yourself with your cooking.  “Yep, dinner. So find somewhere else to go for your games tomorrow.  I won’t be home. Or at least, I don’t know when I’ll be back.”  you say and as you throw the food on a plate, you turn back to your friend.  

“What?” you ask him, confused about the sudden serious look on his face.  “Why are you going out with Jongin?” he asks, picking up a fork and poking at the plate of food you set down in front of him.  “Do I need a reason to go out with someone? Seriously, Baek. It’s one night, you can go somewhere else.” you huff out.  “Now eat your food, you brat.” 

After eating, you find that you’re somewhat irritated at Baekhyun’s weird mood change.  Was he really so childish that he was angry that he couldn’t play on your computer or come bother you for a night? “Do you want to-” you start to ask him after finishing cleaning up but he’s putting on his jacket, then his shoes.  “You’re leaving?” you ask and he just nods, his back to you.  

“Have fun tomorrow,” he says, then he’s out the door. “Um..ok?” you say, cocking your head at the empty space your friend was just in.  “What a weirdo.” you tell the empty room, shrugging and returning to your schoolwork.  You had morning classes anyhow, so it was a good thing that you were able to have a quiet night without Baekhyun keeping you up to talk most of the evening.

The next day as you make your way home from classes, you send a text off to Jongin to confirm your dinner meet time and check your other messages.  Frowning, you notice Baekhyun hadn’t responded to your text, but he’d read it.  Frowning, you send him another with just a bunch of emoji frown faces and grin.  “Jerk.” you mutter and head home to change.  

As you emerge from the shower, you are startled to hear pounding on your door.  Throwing a towel around yourself, you rush out to see what is making someone knock so frantically.  “Y/n!” you hear and you stop.  “Um…who is it?” you ask, warily.  “Open the door! It’s me!” you suddenly recognize Baekyun’s voice and sigh in frustration, throwing open the door to him.  

“Seriously Baek? What is so-” you start to scold him but he’s grabbing your arm as he slams the door behind him.  “Don’t go.” he says abruptly, gripping your bare upper arms in his hands.  “Don’t go to dinner with Jongin.” he says again, his face completely unreadable.  You can only stare at him in confusion as his eyes bore holes into yours.  “What? Why not?” you can only ask.

“Look, I know I’m an idiot, and I know I can be annoying and immature.  Frankly, I don’t know why I didn’t do something sooner, or say something, anything! But when you said you were going out with Jongin-I realized I was going to lose you.  I don’t want to lose you, Y/n!” he says, shaking you a little.  

“Baekhyun, what the-” is all you manage before his mouth is on yours, his arms around you, pulling you up on your toes as he kisses you.  You can only grip the sleeves of his shirt as you reel from the sudden turn of events.  Baek? Kissing me? What the hell is going on? Are your only thoughts as he backs you to the couch and you both fall on it.  Your arms go around his neck instinctively even though your brain is in a complete fog.  

His mouth leaves yours only to make his way to your neck, and you let out a long, low moan as his thigh pushes your legs open so he can settle between them.  “Baekhyun!” you choke out and his breathing increases as you tug on his hair.  “What-” you start but then his mouth is back on yours, his tongue probing, seeking yours.  “Stay with me, don’t go.” he whispers against your lips as he props himself up to look down at you.  

His eyes drop down to your towel and you realize as they widen that the cloth has fallen open to expose your naked body.  You blush furiously, pulling your arms over your chest in an attempt to cover yourself.  “Baek-” “Don’t” he says, pulling your arm away to hold over your head as his eyes linger over your tits.  “God, you’re perfect.” he whispers, his gaze dropping lower and you squirm under him.  ‘BAEKHYUN!” you yell and his eyes snap up to yours.  

“If I’m going to be naked, then you are too.” you state bluntly, giving in now that he’s opened this door.  He hesitates for only a split second before his mouth is back on yours, and he’s helping you tug his shirt over his head, throwing it blindly.  Your hands are on the button of his jeans, unzipping him, and you’re both struggling to toss every garment in the way until you’re both completely naked and entwined in each other's arms.

“Why wouldn’t I?” is all you can say and he curses, yanking you closer.  “I want to be with you, Y/n.  Together. Girlfriend and boyfriend.  Romantic.  NO LONGER FRIENDS.  EXCLUSIVE.” he says, his voice getting louder at each word.  You cover his mouth, trying to suppress a laugh.  “Baekhyun.” you say and he glares at you.  You grab both of his ears and yank, hard.  “OW OW!” he cries out and you let go, smacking him in the forehead.  

“You idiot, do you think I’m going on a date with Jongin?” you finally ask, and his expression darkens again.  “Is that why you were acting weird last night and then…this?” he only continues to glare at you.  Sighing, you gently rub his ears, then his forehead before drawing him in for a soft kiss.  “You know, if you talked to me like a normal person, you’d know I was going to dinner with Jongin to talk to him about a girl he likes.  That isn’t me.” you whisper, smirking at his shocked expression.  

“What?? I-but-I thought-” he stumbles but then groans, dropping his head onto your chest.  “Yeah, you thought without asking.” you say, pulling his face back up to look at you.  “Ok fine, I’m a moron.” he says, embarrassed.  “Well..I guess…if you hadn’t misunderstood you might not have …” you trail off, gesturing to the two of you, naked and messy on your couch.  

Smiling, he pulls you back to him.  “So…?” he says, eyeing you.  “So…what?” you ask him, raising an eyebrow.  “So….I still want everything I said.” he says.  You study him, brushing his hair back.  “Are you sure? Not just teasing like you always do?”  His eyes go wide as he chokes out a laugh.  “Do you honestly think I’d- this? I would never-” he’s sputtering and you pull him in to kiss and hold you.  

“I’ve had a huge crush on you for years, idiot.  Once upon a time I thought you liked me too, but you always said ‘just kidding haha!’ and I eventually gave up.” you tell him and he frowns, his hand coming up to cup your face.  “I…I’ve liked you too…for a long time.  I just …felt like if I pressured you, I’d lose the friendship.  I’ll do better, I’m sorry I confused you.” he whispers and you can only nod, his lips soft against yours.  

“Ok and while I would love to stay like this all night…I think I need another shower…or something..” you say and he laughs.  “Ok let’s go shower then…will you make me-”

“Yes, Baekhyun.  I’ll cook for you.  And yes, you can spend the night.” you say and he answers with a deep kiss, smiling against your mouth.  “No computer, only me tonight, jerk!” you say, pulling his hair and biting his lip and he just laughs at you, agreeing.  

You suppose that little crush was still there after all.

2. what is your go-to karaoke song?

I've never done karaoke! But if I did I would rope my sister into doing Bohemian Rhapsody because we're white and whenever we hear the song we have to do the dance moves from the scene in Father Ted where the guy sings that song, not gonna link that, if you know you know, if you don't, it's probably for the best :)

10. what band were you obsessed with as a child? do you still like them?

I listened to my mom's Ben Folds Live album a lot in elementary school. Specifically "Not the Same", when I was like 9, maybe, was SO intriguing to me. What was he saying? What did it mean?? I would lie in front of the boom box with a notebook and listen to it over and over to write down what I thought the lyrics were so I could decipher them because my auditory processing has always been shit and there was no lyric book in the CD jewel case!! To which my parents, understandably, were like "(laughs nervously) what the fuck?"

The funniest thing about it is that at the end of the previous track he literally says in the plainest language possible what the song is about (apt album cover thumbnail)

Honorable mention to when i was in the 8th grade I would get home from school every day and listen to Goodbye by BoA on loop until I was done with my homework. (I was into kpop/jpop/jrock/cpop before it was cool but not in the cute way, in the dorky way 🥲) Haven't listened to that song in I don't even know how long but I just gave a re-listen and I'll stand by it! It's kind of a fucking banger still??

11. what is the best live music show you've ever been to?

Ugh I've been to a lot of good ones the past few years but I'm going to have to say when I saw microwave earlier this year, and any time I've seen seeyouspacecowboy has been incredible. 

One that will always stand out to me though is one of my first shows I went to back in 2022 when I was starting to test the waters with being out in public again because of my household's high covid risk status. It was a Static Dress and Loathe show (missed the other 2 bands because the ticket listed the wrong time 🙄) and the energy was so wonderful. I was so starved for human contact after being very isolated for over 2 years, and I didn't know anyone else who was into heavy music, so being in this smallish but completely packed venue with everyone yelling along, and when Loathe came on, yelling along to every word of an album that had gotten me through some really tough times at the beginning of the pandemic... it felt like a little glimpse of being part of a community and part of the world again and it was such a good feeling I almost cried about it right there in the club.

If Yena from Itzy had a solo album

i’m going to talk about the songs on here but if you don’t want to read and just want to see the playlist then it’s here:

i wanted to do a y2k mixed with pop rock concept for this since i could see yuna doing it. if i translate the random words in my notebook about this, you’ll find that i mention somi and hyuna in it. i specifically put dumb dumb because come on, that’s a yuna song, and lip and hip but neither artist made it to this anyway. i did also put yena ‘in small doses’ (typing out yena and yuna’s names throughout this was really annoying lmao) which is what i did since yena is the person i think of when i think of y2k and pop rock in k-pop. she’s still the only artist in there more than once but neither song is her most bombastic and neither one was used as a title track. the title track is the first song in the playlist, and it’s a little predictable since yuna’s cover of it is pretty popular, but i don’t see any other choice so:

0001: u-go-girl - lee hyori

the cover makes this easy to imagine, but i’d like to think this would be here anyway. the chorus screams yuna. i mean i’ve listened to yuna’s cover plenty of times, but not more than the original and i can still hear her as i listen to it right now. it’s bouncy and playful, two things i would love to see if yuna ever goes solo and when paired with an insanely catchy chorus, i don’t think there’s any room to go wrong. there’d obviously be a feature too, probably by a stray kids member (or xdinary heroes since i know o.de did it in the cover), probably hyunjin. i might be yapping since i haven’t kept up with them for a while but it feels like it’d be hyunjin and i think the kpop side of the internet would go crazy over that.

0002: icon - twice

it’s not as easy to imagine this one since there’s 9 people singing on this song but it fits with the concept and works as the first ‘bside’ on this. i don’t love them, but i could definitely see yuna doing the rap verses on this song, and if the verses were changed a bit i feel like this could have been an itzy song. it would have been the equivalent of f(x) releasing mr boogie so it wouldn’t be impossible. the chorus definitely works for yuna though, with the self love concept being very itzy in general, and it works pretty well with some of the other songs here.

0003: vision getting blurred - bébe yana

tell me why i only just find out bébe yana used to be in evol, like i feel like i’m on my nugu promoter space right now. anyways this song is one of those ‘aesthetic’ earworm songs, which happens to be another style i could see yuna doing. i always see songs like this from smaller soloists, so i’m not sure she would, but i think it would suit her and it fits this concept. the chorus is of course pretty addictive and it’s one of those songs that sound like it was written with a sparkly pink gel pen (i have been influenced to say this), something that reminds me a bit of yuna’s u-go-girl cover.

another ear worm song, and well i first listened to this song yesterday and i’m already a bit addicted. there’s something so catchy about the lay low part, and it’s not just the repetitiveness of it, but also the way yooa sings it. i’m not the biggest fan of her voice but the pronunciation of it scratches the right part of my brain. this song also feels pink, and reminds me of vision getting blurred but less moody, and i think that’s more yuna’s style. it also leads us on nicely to the next song, which is our first yena song.

0005. lemon-aid - yena

lemon-aid was always my favourite b-side of yena’s before damn u came along. i’d argue it’s one of her ‘happiest’ songs and this is the girl that made smiley. the name is accurate and it really does feel like drinking fresh lemonade in the summer, something which i’ve not experienced myself but i just know. the pre-chorus feels very yuna to me, especially with the little rap or, well, talk singing part right before the chorus starts. it’s more laid-back than her other songs as well, which fits the vibe of the last few songs on here.

0006. chowall - triples

forgive me for adding four songs that are less than three minutes long in a row and then going for one that’s barely over a minute, i promise the next three are over three minutes (before we get onto yuri whose biggest crime is releasing round and around). there’s not much to say about this song, and i just used it as a break in songs before we get onto the next one, something which i will continue to do when i do the other four members.

0007. well…. (rock ver) - iu

i mean this in the best way possible, but this song reminds me of horrid henry. of course there’s no better way to remind me of my childhood so it’s all welcome. this is pretty different to the vibe chowall creates, but i like the way the vocals stop for a moment and then we get a ‘one, two, three, go’ and we’re straight into the two song long pop rock section of this playlist. i really like the guitar instrumental on this (it’s still horrid henry coded though), and it could have been the title track if there were a few more songs like this on here.

0008. withorwithout - yena

this also sounds pretty nostalgic but this time for seemingly no reason. anyways i couldn’t say yena was the person i thought of when thinking of y2k x pop rock in k-pop then not include this one. this song also reminds me of yuna a lot, especially towards the end and i think it works really well as one of the final songs on the album, and as a way of transitioning out of the pop rock moment we had.

0009. left right - xg

this was originally at the front of this playlist, but then i took one of the songs out and moved this towards the end because there was less upbeat pop rock than i originally planned and i needed something like this at the end of it. this song reminds me of icon by twice, so we have a weirdly shaped circle with two lines at the end to represent the first and last song that don’t fit it at all (please say you’re visualising it). again, it’s a bit hard to really see yuna singing this since it’s a group but i could definitely see her doing the rap parts and then i’d like to think it fits here.

0010. favourite part - jo yuri

i almost added this in lia’s playlist, since i was actively searching for yuna songs but adding to the other members if i found anything i thought could fit. i mean i wrote yuri’s name down in lia’s section of my notebook and i added je t’aime by joy to her playlist so i could make this work there. i mainly added this here because i’m being predictable and ending it with a slow song, but also because yuna is a sub-vocalist and this is pretty short. i also didn’t want to end it on the previous song because it just doesn’t feel right, and i’d much rather end it on the magical piano instrumental at the end of this one so that’s what i went with.

i won’t yap much longer but i wanted to talk about the one song i didn’t add —— dang! (hocus pocus) by billlie. i won’t talk about much of it since i might do that another time but the main reason i removed it is because of the group thing. i’d rather this have been all soloists but we had three groups (two if you don’t count triples) and sometimes that can take you out of it so i didn’t want to add a third one. also, i don’t think this one fit as well, or at least it didn’t fit in any place with this order. i took it out saying i might add it back in but then i realised that i liked how i did things here and didn’t want to have to find a place for this song too, so i just left it, but i have been enjoying this song whilst making this playlist so i thought i’d mention it anyway.

How long have you been writing? I am unsure if anyone asked this question before or not. Adding on, how do you write drabbles or oneshots? I can only write short drabbles — roughly 5 sentences. Apologies for asking too much, Kai.

in general i’ve been writing since maybe.. i was 10? maybe younger? writing silly little wolf oc stories in a notebook with pen that i’d show my grandparents because i was so proud 😭 then i went to quotev, then wattpad (my wattpad account still stands to this very day, i should check how many years it’s been standing) and then here but i wasn’t very consistent here! i came back officially like 2-3 years ago with two kpop writing blogs and then i returned to genshinblr to write last spring with https-alhaitham (it was https-furina by the time i moved this january we don’t mention the url changes) so um… i’ve been doing this a while HAHAHA

as for drabbles !!! i usually write drabbles when i have a really good fic idea but i’m not motivated or simply don’t have the time to make it a full fic - specifically my kaeya angst drabble i wanted to make a full fic but made it into a drabble instead. the easiest thing i can think is when you get your creative spark or idea, do short bulletpoints of the plot and where you’d like it to go. typically i do long lists for fics to follow my plots so maybe bulletpoint shorter but remember to keep it short when writing !! maybe a bulletpoint for a paragraph to give your mind an idea what it needs to cover. honestly this also applies to fics…

yeah, theres something really wrong with kpoppers. i actually remember what perfume video the "fat legs" comments were from - it was their first budokan concert back in 2008, i think they were wearing the pink outfits (or perhaps the yellow ones from drream fighter). i think what those kpoppers might meant were kashiyukas thighs, since she wore very short shorts in the pink outfits, and while her legs are thin her thighs are plumper. but like, thats literally what makes her known as "the hot one" among fans. like shes very renowed for having very nice legs, and in general its normal for women to have bigger tighs and wider hips. i guess one could just shrug it off as kpop fans being salty and petty, but many kpop girl members have crazy thin legs. like if you look up snsd aka girls generation, youll realize that many of their promotional images have them with really skinny legs. one of the very few kpop songs that i like is "gee" by this girl group, and i decided to look at the comments of the dance ver and some poeple were defending one of the girls because koreans fans were being mean to her for being "fat". i think she was called jessica or something like that, and i look her up to know which one of them was and like, if they didnt mention anything i wouldnt even have realized but her "problem" was basically that she had this "square-y" body type and that made her look like 0,5 millimeters bigger that the rest.

another thing that happened to me very recently was that i was looking for a notebook to buy and there were selling some with kpop groups in the cover, and i stumbled upon one that had this boy band named stray kids, and god dammit... these guys have such heavy plastic surgery like wtf... some of them look like literal wax figures its scary. i remember when kpop fans were saying it was racist how some people made fun of boy bands by saying they all looked the same, and sure, definitely some of them probably were, but you cant deny that some of these guys (and girls) dont end up looking the same when they get their faces botched up all to follow the same very narrow korean beauty standards.

and yeah, i can see the difference between kanon and akari, but i also think it was because kanon was much bigger than akari. like she even made fun of herselkf many times when she introduced herself. i always remember when michishige sayumi was asked which animal fit their teammates the best, and she said kanon was a hippo or an elephant 💀 i always got the impression that kanon making fun of herself like referencing she had a full meal before a performance so she was full of energy was a defense mechanism - a lot of fat people usually make fun of themseves because they want to do it before others can make fun of them first, like "look at me, im fat and i know it and dont take it seriously, please dont make fun of me because i already do it and it doesnt hurt me at all!".

speaking of sayumi, she once was also asked which helloproject group she would least like to be stuck with on an island, and she said berryz koubou because they seemed like they liked to eat alot.. im guessing she was referring to maasa and risako.

Tbh Kpop visuals are so ridiculously filtered that I'm pretty sure those girls are made prettier and skinnier than they really are. People these days are soooooo freaking guillible and believe anything they see online. These girls get ps to oblivion and still need to be photoshopped like mad.... They're not perfect. Nobody is.

The thing is japanese idols aren't expected to look perfect like Korean do. Jpop idols aren't supposed to look 'flawless'. Perfume debuted when they were like 12-13 years old ; we saw them grow before our eyes, so if they did anything shady with their appareance everyone would have noticed. These women are soon 35 and still kicking.. - I wonder how these Kpop girls will look at that age 👀

I don't even think that Kpoppers know what "sexy" is anyway. What's stricking with Kpop is that despite how much polished their aesthetic are, they emanate 0% charisma. They give off an absolutely frigid energy. Every single of their move and face expression are policed. Kpop MV would make anyone epileptic so much shit is going on because that's how bad the artist themselves can't put it up themselves.

At least, old school jpop idols still have a lil bit of personality - which is why we still remember of them 10, 20 years later. The same couldn't be said for today's one tbh (I lost interest after Morning Musume 13./Michishige graduated because all the newcomers were more dull than the others... Even Riho who was hailed as The Ace of the group didn't leave the same impact as OG members (Ai Takashi, Tsuji Nozomi, Ai Kago, Maki Goto, Reina Tanaka, etc.) AKB48 fell off after the Kami 7 all graduated (the sister groups are meh).

But to be fair, the new Reiwa era (more conservative ) isn't just prone to leave raw personalities pop out in like that... Ai Kago stunts would have made her cancelled without afterthought or second chances today...😬 The idol group era is pretty much over in Japan. Right now, 'boring edgy' like Aimyon or Yonezu Kenshi are popping.

I can't bring myself to find Kpop boys attractive. Period. They are all ugly and I have no shame to say it because they were all much better before doing plastic surgery. So no it's not racist to say they all look the same because plastic surgery made them look the same - not their race...

I DARE someone to tell me the 2 dudes on the left aren't the same. The one at the top particularly looks like an otome game character 💀 like- he straight up looks like his face was DRAWN.

Michishige is RUTHLESS 😭 I mean, in Morning Musume she had the persona of being a narcissist so it makes sense she put down other girls for not being as pretty as her. But yeah dunking on a girl who's like a decade younger than you is shitty. Those idol group are shoving together girls from entire different generations (Michishige was in her mid 20s when she graduated and the youngest member of the group were like 13-14 years old 🥴) so awkward girldrama situations are bound to happen.... That being said, it's a very bad idea to get into an idol group if you're feeling awkward about your physically appearance... Kanon should've never been in Momusu, imo.

I always found Berryz Kōbō was much coherent than Morning Musume ; members were closer in age and experience. I was a smaller band and the lineup was consistent so you weren't lost in the amount of new faces every other years (like Momusu regular call for new members).

I think its fitting that some of its members love eating when they have a song called 1億3千万総ダイエット王国 ("A kindgom of 130 million [people] complete diet[ing]") *the population of Japan is of 125 million but I guess the evened it out for the song that was kinda critical of diet culture. Good for them tbh And that song was bop. Berryz Kōbō truly delivered the few years before disbanding.

Yeah I’ve loved writing since I was a kid and did it off and on. I started to before the pandemic hit (but 2020 was a bad year for everyone) I tried again in 2022 but kinda stopped after it sounded repetitive.

So this time I’m gonna try not to sound too repetitive, allow my creativity to flow more, and pick a time of day that works best for me, (usually evening time before bed if I don’t feel tired) but morning or during the day works too.

(And I actually have a problem of hoarding notebooks 😅 in the past I’d just leave them blank but I’m really trying to fill them up now) in January I’m gonna start doing a 30 day challenge.

(And Yesss I have! My absolute favorite brand is Midori out of Japan because their quality is amazing, and their journals come in different sizes and different paper) also pentalic from Amazon, they’re black hard covers and I just got one that’s 4 inches and so cute 🙌🏻)

oh yeah 2020 sucked lol. i got into kpop around the end of 2019 so i had some type of new hobby to keep me above water for a while thank goodness. thats when i actually started writing myself. most of my life i just daydreamt and read, but i never thought i could write. here on tumblr tho i found a community and i started letting the creativity flow as you said. best decision ive ever made (even if i havent written an actual story in months bc of writers block)

but 2024 i wanna try more journalling than writing. really explore my day to day and how i go abt things with proof this time lol. maybe ill actually remember what i did that year as well :))

A/N-So this is based on a random weird theory I had that I put into words. That's all I'll say here. Please don't hate me for what I'm about to do...

Unlike the rest of the sections you'd been through, when you enter into horror, you stop in surprise at the surroundings. Or lack thereof.

Within a large empty room, there is one notebook, perched upon a podium with gold flags adorning it. Frowning, you pick it up, wondering why it looks familiar. You brush your fingertips over the cover, tilting your head.

Then you open it.

You gasp as you are hit with a sudden feeling of weightlessness. Your body feels peculiar as you open your eyes to the barren waste of the city surrounding you. The grey sky hangs thick with smoke, painting everything an anemic monotone.

"Who are you?" you hear from behind you, and you spin to see a black clad man, his red hair the only color in this desolate place.

His appearance has a strange effect on you. You glance around more carefully and you have a sudden twist in your stomach as you realize the setting.

Halazia.

Wait..Halazia?

(What was Halazia? Why does my heart want to hurt so much?)

"Yes...I...Wooyoung?" you ask and he tilts his head, his eyes narrowing. "You know who I am....? I have many questions, but it's not safe here. Come with me." he says gruffly, taking your hand.

You can't help but feel all the air leaving your body as you take in the bleak landscape. Off in the distance, amidst the heavy clouds, lighting strikes randomly. Everything is cold and oppressive, despite the lack of gravity.

Wooyoung. Ateez Wooyoung, your brain keeps repeating. You instinctively knew him, and this place but you also knew.....

This wasn't a novel.... you were so confused. How could this be? You clutch your head as Wooyoung pulls you into an abandoned building, leading you down a set of stairs overgrown with numerous plants.

After what feels like ages, passing through what appears to be an urban underground area, then up a decrepit escalator, he pulls you through the broken doors of a large skyscraper.

Tears prick your eyes as you take in everything you've seen so many times in the music video.

(Video?)

But somehow physically traveling through this wasteland is crushing you, mentally. The disgusting smells, the sight of corpses and blood, bone and meat everywhere you look.

Your eyes keep straying back to the large black void hovering above the center of the area you'd passed through. A tear rolls down your cheek, the overwhelming emotions battling within you.

"It's so..." you manage to whisper through the weight in your chest. Glancing back, Wooyoung frowns and nods. "Almost there." he says, then you're both climbing the tall building's numerous stairs. You struggle internally to process exactly what is going on.

At least this time, you remember the Library, unlike some other sections. You try to remember all of the lore you've studied to figure out how to deal with this. Because as an Atiny-

(I'm an Atiny? You both knew and didn't know)

-this was truly terrifying...and this was...your memories were a mess.

"Here..." he says and you take in the rooftop he's brought you to. Catching your breath, you take in the familiar place as he lets go of your hand. Your head clears finally as you feel yourself go cold.

This was where he was in the video with the hat.....the tattered black flag......your breath shudders as memories of everything finally fill in all the gaps.

(My...they...not here....)

The scent of ash was heavy up here, but it wasn't as permeating as the stench of burnt flesh and iron you'd experienced down below. Shaking, you just stop for a moment, your brain racing but your heart feeling hollow.

"What is this..." you ask, turning to look at one of your idols, there in the flesh. No...this wasn't Ateez Wooyoung, you realized. This was the Wooyoung from the video, one of the saviors. His eyes just watch you, allowing you to take your time before he approaches you slowly.

"Please...come sit..." he whispers softly, his hand low on your back, gently guiding you to a small makeshift camp. You feel tears well back up in your eyes as you feel your stomach drop. There was an extinguished fire where he gestures, as he takes a seat. You hesitantly join him, looking to him for answers.

"This must be a lot to take in," he says, reaching out again to pet your hair. "How did you know my name?" he asks, tilting his head. His voice is soothing and you relax a bit. "I...it's hard to explain.." you start, blinking.

I'm going to sound crazy...but wait...this is a story...isn't it? You grasp your head again as it aches.

"It's the void," he says, tilting his chin to the large black sphere in the distance. "It suppresses emotion...take your time." You inhale deeply, rubbing your temples to reduce the pain and then blow out your breath.

"I know it sounds insane, but I am a...was a fan of a musical group? We are in a video they made...this is the lore of their fictional world..." you stare up at him, his face stoic as he listens.

"Your world." you say. "I want to...cry being here. But I can't..." you swallow, your hand going to your chest to tug at your top. "It's so confusing...this isn't..." you begin, then stop when he furrows his brow at you.

Hesitating to mention the guardians or anything beyond what was going on here, you just shake your head. "So...you aren't from this world..." he murmurs, staring into the remnants of the fire.

Realizing something, you gasp. "Where are the others?" you whisper, standing up to stare off into the distance. There was no indication of what time of day it was. You couldn't even trust the sky here, you think. Smoke was billowing from so many random places, adding to the dark clouds.

Walking to the edge of the building to look down, you can make out some of the scenes you remember. You feel Wooyoung's arm slide around your shoulder as you take in everything.

You felt like you were missing something though....

Your breath hitches as a wave of hopelessness and despair fill you. "Hey..." you hear Wooyoung whisper, then he pulls you into his arms and you burst into tears. "It's so much...it's too much..." you sob, clutching his cloak, burying your face into his shoulder.

"Shhh, it's ok, let it all out...." he murmurs against your hair, kissing the top of your head. His hand rubs up and down your back, soothing you. "Give it all to me, don't hold back." he urges, and you do.

Something inside of you, some longing, being in this place with the memories this particular story had..... The comfort you feel from him is almost suffocating as you cling to him desperately.

You let out your tears, your heartache, your pain onto him as he holds you.

A day passes as you try to focus on what you're supposed to do here, how to obtain the key. You'd gone through bouts of emotional overload but Wooyoung was always there to hold you, easing your suffering. It was confusing, as the void was supposed to suppress emotion. Even so, every so often you'd be overcome with wracking sobs.

You'd asked Wooyoung about the others and he'd promised to take you there once he'd returned. He had gone off this morning, warning that you were safer here. Luckily since he'd been gone, you had felt calm and subdued.

The only sounds were the wind, the distant thunder and the chirping-

Chirping?

You spin around to see a little blue bird perched on the ledge, staring at you. Unable to speak, you tilt your head and slowly approach the small creature.

The little bluebird, you realize, your memories flashing through your mind.

Yeosang...?

The bluebird....hope.

Still calm but your mind thrown into chaos, you extend your hand towards it. It leaps into your palm, and as it does, an image flashes through your mind.

Chains, fire, blood, a hollow laugh.

Beware.

Suddenly it takes wing without a sound, flying off into the distance. Moments later, Wooyoung appears from below and you run to him. Before you can tell him about the experience, a tiny voice whispers to keep it to yourself.

His arms encircles you, his hand brushing back your hair. He was an enormous source of comfort to you and his touch helped you manage. The amount of guilt you felt at leaning on him so heavily was slightly eased as you realized you weren't about to burst into tears yet again.

You felt entirely drained.

"Hmmm..." he murmurs against your head, pulling back to cup your face. "Would you like to see the others? I'll...take you to them..." he whispers, a smile curling the edges of his lips.

Your eyes grow wide and you nod, a wave of hope flooding over you, so intense you can't help but smile and tear up. "Yes please..." you whisper hoarsely, your throat raw.

Once again, you're led by Wooyoung, leaving through those same broken doors. The burnt smell of ash was strong here, as you take in the ruined husks of buildings, houses and other objects you can't make out. This time, he leads you directly to the center of everything where the sphere hangs, suspended over everything.

"They are here?" you ask, following him into the square. You see the familiar gold flags, the scarecrow Halateez coming into sight. You can't help but stop, the awful stench of rot washing over your senses.

Rot and...the acrid scent of iron...blood.

Fresh blood.

Gagging, you glance around. You put your hand over your mouth and nose as you notice the bodies.

So many bodies.

This isn't right.

This is wrong.

"No...these...this is wrong...." you mutter your thoughts out loud, turning around to look behind you. More and more, you can see the remnants of clothing, burnt flesh and bone. Dried blood splattered across grey stone, some brown, some ....red...

Bright radiant red.

You feel your brain begin to race as you realize that this was different from what you knew. How was the blood....that red? The shock of the color against the pallid environment causes bile to rise up at the implication.

"What is it, little one?" Wooyoung asks. As he places a hand on your neck, his thumb tracing along your neck, you feel the flood of panic buckle your knees. He catches you, sweeping you up into his arms.

"Shhh, it's so much to take in, isn't it?" he whispers to you, walking with you towards the Halateez pyre. You choke on your emotions, as well as the horrible odors, the horrific scene before you.

"How....these people....what is this...?" you ask. "They were alive when..." you manage, unable to continue as you look up at him. "This is all wrong." you whimper.

"Mmmm," he hums, continuing to pet you. He has you in his arms as he stops, glancing down. "We're here." he says, his tone low.

You wipe at your cheeks, and then follow his gaze below the two of you.

Your world tilts as you stare at the broken figure, your mind taking too long to process what you're looking at.

The grey top....the bandages....the whitish blonde hair spattered with blood. His body was face down and you cry out, your body shaking.

"Seonghwa!" you scream out, trying to free yourself from Wooyoung's arms, but he holds you tight. "No!" you cry, turning your face into his chest as you sob.

They were here....this wasn't real. It wasn't real....

The red...it was so fresh...so bright...

"I told you I'd find them for you..." Wooyoung whispers as you weep.

"Not like this.." you whimper as you feel him moving again. "See...Look, little one...." he says quietly and you feel yourself being lowered, his strong hands turning you abruptly as he pulls your back against him.

"Look." he demands, and he grips your face, squeezing, bruising your cheeks with his strong fingers. He forces your other arm behind your back, holding you in place. You screech as you feel your wrist snap, his grip crushing the bones.

When you finally open your eyes, you take in the twisted, broken bodies of the others.

Yeosang....

Yeosang was in chains, on his side, his arm extended and there was a pool of crimson blood underneath him.

Hongjoong, Mingi and Jongho ......

Nooo please...

Each of them were strewn about, their limbs contorted and......

....and so much more blood, the puddles slowly growing in size.

It was recent, you finally realize.

What-how...?

Then you see them. San....no! not San....

...and...

....Wooyoung.

The red hair.

Wooyoung.

No.

No no no....

"Yesssss." Wooyoung purrs into your ear. "Yesss, despair....take it all in and let me have your pain..."

You struggle but he holds you fast.

"NO!" you scream, tears falling from your reddened eyes, staring at the blank, lifeless eyes of the two figures in white.

Or what used to be white, the blood slowly staining them a dark crimson.

"The other, Yunho? I just crushed him where he was imprisoned. You should have seen the look on his face....." he chuckles and you feel your stomach flip, your jaw clench.

"Not to worry though, I'll drain you until you can't feel...then I'll take you to him so you can bask in the anguish the sight of his death will bring."

Your body goes limp, waves of agony washing over you as he just holds you up.

"Eventually.... as you go numb again, I'll show you how I did it....let you hear their screams....watch their bodies......snap. Do you know how interesting it is to hear a human body just...ahhhh let me save the savory details for later....." he continues but you just dry heave, falling on your knees as he releases you, finally understanding what is going on.

"They always trust me..." he laughs hollowly, gesturing to the figures around you.

"You're....you're.... not Wooyoung...not the Wooyoung that...." you can't even speak but he understands you nonetheless. "You know who I am. You know more than anyone..." he purrs out, crouching down to pull you close against him as he whispers in your ear.

"You were the one who wrote this..." he murmurs and you gasp, your roiling stomach clenching in fear.

"No! No-I just...."

"Oh yes, you wrote this. This was your doing." he laughs softly. You can feel the fabric of you mind tearing at the cruelness of his voice, heavy with truth.

"Yes, anger and despair, they taste so sweet...." he hisses, licking his lips.

"You're a monster!" you scream as he holds you in place.

"I'm a monster? That I am. But you are the one who thought of this, are you not? Who is the real monster here? Who is truly to blame for this? Little ole me, just playing out the story? Or the one who created this monster?" You let out a low whine as his words rend your sanity.

"Yes, feed me. Feed the void, let me taste your pain, your fear, your agony. Despair." he whispers as he lets you go, and the moment you are free, you feel the hollowness wash over you once more.

It all makes sense now.

The only time you could feel was when he was touching you.

You catch yourself as you fall forward on your hands, free of him. You spin around to look up at the man you'd wanted to trust.

No, this was no man. His eyes were a pure, endless oblivion.

The same inky black void of the sphere above you.

He smiles ruthlessly as he tilts his head and smiles coldly at you.

You slide yourself backwards on the ground as he approaches and you just stare, fixated on him. You know you should feel fear but you can't feel anything.

The horror of spending an eternity feeding him...

You can't even feel the dread of it.

But then...as you are so very close to giving in to your fate....

The tiniest note of hope.

Just the faintest sliver in this unbearable purgatory.

Birdsong.

A vibrant flash of blue....

You glance up and spot the little blue bird as it descends, and you turn to follow it, to watch it land on Yeosang's outstretched hand. Your eyes flood with tears at the sight of his broken body despite the numb void you were drowning in.

"Yeosang..." you choke out.

Briefly you notice his eyelids flutter and his hair stirs in the breeze. Then you're staring into his familiar, intense deep golden eyes as you realize he's mouthing something. Glancing at the bird perched on his hand, he opens it and there's a key gleaming in the dim light.

"Be free." he whispers, his mouth twitching and then you're leaping to grab the key as you hear the monstrous echo of the creature you'd called Wooyoung behind you.

You feel the cold floor as you collapse onto it, reemerging into the library. Instead of getting up immediately, you give in to the wracking sobs that overcome you, holding your arm at the vaguely remembered pain from where Wooyoung had broken it. But the physical pain had been nothing compared to the visions in your shattered mind.

Glancing around, you reorient yourself with your surroundings. You grab your head in agony as you grow dizzy.

What just happened?

You can barely recall, but you'd just come out......

You crawl into an alcove and let yourself recover before you trust your legs to hold you. Finally, after many hours of rest, you allow yourself to stand.

You can finally move on to find the Keeper and turn in all six keys.

   O1   ›       it really depends , with me it happens both ways . i can write anywhere , anytime , if i have the opportunity , and if i have at least a brief synopsis of the central idea of the story i want to write . i usually like to write when i have the idea , so that i don't lose the details that i think of first before i forget or have new ideas . but if i can't write at that moment , i try to jot down as much information about the story as possible in a note.

   O2   ›       i write most of the time on my phone , but sometimes ( when writing really long fanfics like the ones i have on wattpad ) i use my pc . i find that my phone is more accessible . when an idea comes and i can write faster.

   O3   ›       i use my phone's note to write down random ideas i have , this includes a brief synopsis , summary of ideas to develop the stories , some lines i would like to have in the story , just the basics . but i really write on docs . i love docs because it's simple and easy to use.

   O4   ›       i started writing when i was 9 y.o , i always liked creating stories , so i decided to start writing them so i wouldn't lose these creations ( which ended up becoming my refuge and my escape from the world ) . but i only started posting my stories on spirit in 2018 , and it was in 2020 that i decided to move to wattpad . however , as i wanted to improve my writing in eng , since i lost the habit of writing in eng , i decided to post here on tumblr.

   O5   ›       i write for literally every fandom i belong to kkkjsjskskjj i write for anime , kdramas , kpop , western movies and series , different artists . i like to write about a little bit of everything because that way i can approach different themes and genres and not just stick to the characters of a single work . but here on tumblr i've decided to focus on anime fandoms.

   O6   ›       music 99.9% of the time i write . i don't listen to just one genre , so my playlist is pretty varied ( i even listen to funk mtg while writing kkkdjsksk ) . i get a lot of inspiration from music , so i like to have a musical backdrop . but sometimes i like to write without listening to anything , it depends on my mood.

   O7   ›       i'm a bit of a mess when it comes to writing . i have a lot of ideas written down on sticky notes or post-its or even on sheets of paper at the back of my notebooks . these ideas serve as the basic notes for my stories and define the direction and focus i want to take with the story and the characters themselves . if it's a multi-chapter story ( like my fanfics on wattpad ) , i like to make a very detailed summary of what i intend to cover in each chapter . in the docs , i like to use the font times new roman because i think it's pretty , and i only use colors to highlight the title and the main character ( for example , i use blue in all stories related to gojo ).

   O8   ›       i proofread all my stories at least twice before i post them . sometimes i also proofread stories that i've already posted and sometimes i even give the story a boost by adding a description or even a line that fits the context.

   O9   ›       i recently researched eng royal pronouns for the gojo story i plan to work on after 12 / 11 👀👀

   1O   ›       it really depends on what i want to write . if it's a one-shot , it's usually between 300 and +1k , but if it's a multi-chapter story , i try to write +1k per chapter . it's not necessarily a rule or a goal i have , it can even vary depending on my mood when i'm writing.

   11   ›       here's a little spoiler from the beginning of the last chapter i wrote from a fanfic i used to publish on wattpad called lost souls ( chishiya x oc ).

i didn't want to leave this question blank so i put this excerpt kkdjskskk unfortunately i haven't written anything for the stories i'm going to post here on tumblr , just some planning . not to mention i already gave a mini spoiler out there 🤭🤭

   12   ›       i just discovered that i have +30 drafts , putting together ideas for one-shots and multi-chapter fanfics . i think i need help kdjskskkkk

   13   ›       my best friend said that a lot of what i write is a reflection of what i've felt over a long or short period of time , and she wasn't wrong when she told me that . what i write is a way to release my feelings in a fictional universe where anything is possible . not only that , but my own character ( kugisaki mei from lost souls ) is self-critical , and not to mention that a lot of what mei feels mirrors my own feelings.

   14   ›       my safety zone is definitely fluff stories , usually focusing on romance in the romantic sense . i really like to challenge myself and write things that are different from what i'm used to , but i always end up writing something fluffy . i don't have a specific character that i feel confident writing about , i usually write about the characters that i'm obsessed with at the moment.

   15   ›       i always want to try new things in my stories , i love to challenge myself with new themes and characters , but i've always wanted to try suspense or smut , but i'm not really good at those two things kkkdjsks

   16   ›       ( i decided to answer about my own works because i'm too indecisive to choose a favorite work of other writers ) well , here on tumblr i loved writing sensei's wife ( gojo ) and memory garden ( gojo ) , even though mg was better in my head than written kkkjsksk 😭😭 as for wattpad , my favorite story i ever wrote was lost souls ( which i mentioned here a lot ) which is an alice in bordeland fanfic where chishiya is my oc's romantic partner , i think it was the longest slow burn i ever wrote ( 2 full acts and they didn't hold hands or kiss once 😃😃 ).

   17   ›       that i've already written here on tumblr was memórias ( geto ) it was my first attempt at writing a one-shot in eng and i think it made more sense written in portuguese because of the song i was inspired by.

I went to a kpop store for a tiger shooky keychain. It was like $18 with tax omg. But it's so cute and I've been wanting to get a shooky keychain for so long TT The store also had a trading event for all groups, so I tried to ask ppl. But I'm shy/anxious and not many ppl were trading bts, and no one for the two specific dvd ones i wanted to trade (winter package 2020 and the recent speak yourself dvd). The crowdedness also didn't help :/ An employee said a bts table would be up an hr later but I had to get home by then :/ I saw someone selling bts group pcs but had to resist since it's lower prio for me rn :/ I see a good amount of people with the plush keychain. Which I kinda want but also don't bc I'd be worried about getting it dirty :/ There's a line store at Times Square but it sucks to go there with how busy the streets can get. and they have mostly baby, minini versions, or other colors of the originals in stock. shooky is way too diff from the original design compared to the baby and minini form. and there's no normal original design shooky keychains >:/ on another note, I like koya the most and have a cute, squishy head cushion of his minini design. and mang for the first original head cushion. but no shooky merch until now lol

i don’t think i’ve ever actually been to a kpop merch store.. i always order online but i moved here like right after i started stanning bts and because china- korea relations literally no one comes here ever, even like american/ british artists don’t come here. i think shawn mendez came once but i would have pulled my hair out if i’d gone OH and i was meant to go ruel’s concert here in 2020 i had tickets and everything but then covid hit 😐 so i didn’t get to go and the country has been on strict lock down since february 2020 so no more concerts. i saw BT21 themed stuff in watsons once and was so surprised because it’s like a cosmetic/ skin care store? kind of they sell a lot of things hygiene related

trading seems so scary, but also like going into a store is scary in itself— i think i also have attachments to everything i own so i’d never been able to trade with anyone because i’d be sad about giving stuff away

ooh they have a line store here but it’s all like brown the bear and that bunny, i don’t think they ever had any BT21 merch though 😐 which is really sad so i order it all online again

and my first ever piece of “bts” merch was an RJ notebook that i still have and a tote bag that i bought and i got my friend matching, my parents took me and my brother to japan one summer and they had bts everywhere we were out for lunch and they were playing bts on the tv and then while we were walking someone was playing a butterfly performance and i think that’s the first time i told my parents about bts and still have the tote bag but i used it so much during high school for my PE clothes that i had to buy a new one but this one has just tata on it and he’s holding these flowers— this one’s a little gross though so i might order a new one online but idk which one to pick 😭

and my most favorite piece of bt21 merch— my cooky pillow is the best thing that’s ever happened to me OH and my friend bought me a cooky mug as well once but i left it in the uk so now it’s stranded at my grandparents house until i go back 😭 it was my designated ice tea mug as well 🥲 i don’t think i have any keychains, i have a butter one but nothing bt21

i think for my birthday my mum bought a bt21 duvet cover but it fits my brothers bed not mine 😭
