so, at first, i thought it was me projecting but i think the first clue i got was eddie. yall might think i’m being dramatic but eddie was…suspicious from the get-go. in a normal situation like this, there’s actually 0% chance that it turns out the way it did for arthur.

but that’s beside the point. eddie knocks on the door and receives an unhurried response. he walks away to do.. whatever it is he was doing. arthur comes to the door, opens it, looks around and picks up some trash, muttering to himself. suddenly eddie has urgent business inside the office with a. flimsy excuse at best. strike one.

we, as the audience, know that arthur is being shifty because he’s just killed a man. eddie has been told, quite convincingly, that arthur was moving… boxes or something (im looking at the transcript, arthur just says ‘not furniture’ so…). and that arthur is working with sensitive documents. not sure if you know this but private detectives have to work with proper authorities to be allowed to operate legally. that means they work with the police and the courts. when a PI says a document is sensitive, they mean legally. they mean eyes only. they mean ‘come back later or i could lose my fucking license because you got the wrong look at classified documents.’ a building manager, especially their building manager, should know that. strike two.

he also asks for arthur’s partner, peter yang (who is, i can only assume, an east asian man). i should hope that i dont have to remind you that this is massachusetts in the 30’s we’re talking about, and what that means logically. but i will. america hated asian people the most they ever did until COVID in the 30s through the 60s. the only people they hated more were black and brown people. no matter how shifty and suspicious arthur was acting, eddie would’ve been… let’s just say ‘incredibly unlikely’ to ask for peter instead of the white man. strike three

there’s some little bits about subvocals and tone that i could say, but it’d be a lot and i don’t fully understand it enough to explain well why eddie set off alarms for me. because i dont have to. it takes 5 minutes (from 11:48-16:09 on spotify, so nearly exactly) for eddie to go from inconvenient, to annoying, to suspicious, to violent. and he ends the conversation with a very real threat of violence that essentially boils down to ‘don’t come back to the building again.’ eddie is a maintenance man. he did not have the power to evict anyone. unless, of course, they were a poc. so why was arthur worried about eddie when sneaking back into the building?

but, like i said, i thought i was projecting. projection and being-on-the-lam can easily explain arthur’s hesitance when delivering the baby and asking for a ride. or the gunshop in part 6. but the lighthouse? no, what really solidified it for me was the end of part 8.

here’s what officer collin knows so far: a visibly disabled man has stumbled, confused and upset, away from a lighthouse and a body that CANNOT have been killed by a human; and it is dark outside. that’s it. using this knowledge, he then proceeds to beat said man. brutally. repeatedly.

in part 9 they learn he is blind and when that timid little fucker (mitchell) expresses doubt, collin says this

this is something we like to call coerced confession. arthur did not kill that man (the lighthouse keeper). officer collin knows that arthur didn’t kill that man. (dont play, he knows.) but because it is convenient to say that he did, they’ll threaten and torture him until he says that he did.

now, friends, i’m not going to lie to your face and say that white folk are safe from the cops, youre not, i know. but what im also not going to do is pretend like there os any world in which this happens and arthur is visibly white. not in the thirties, not in america. despite being forgotten or unmentioned they are in the midst of the great depression, the exact last thing these small-town cops need is the arrest of a blind white man on their hands. regardless, i have never ever heard of a cop speaking this way to a white person unprovoked. i, on the other hand, have been spoken to this way myself.

this is already quite long and it doesn’t even cover the sheer magnitude of people who feel comfortable calling arthur (at his grown ass age of visibly-an-adult) ‘boy.’ or the wicked and downright racist way that larson says it, (genuinely. it sounds like he’s a middle school boy who discovered the word ‘fagg*t’ for the first time the way he says it. i couldn’t tell you how many times that word (boy) drove an ice pick through my fucking skull this season.) but i hope you can at least get the picture.

Airlines spent 96% of free cash flow on stock buybacks for a decade, then cut 90,000 jobs when trouble hit. Then they got a $50 billion bailout

GE promised its CEO a huge bonus if stock hit $19. It didn’t, so GE re-did contract so the bonus kicks in at $10/share The CEO cut 20% of aviation staff to increase profits and raise the stock to $10 His bonus: $47M. If it goes up again, he gets $270M

JCPenney - April: furloughed 85,000 employees, May 10: Gave CEO $4.5M bonus on top of $17M/yr in pay, May 15: went bankrupt, Oct: laid off 15,000 people, Dec: closed 150 stores, Now: CEO left with $4.5M bonus after stock fell 88% in her 2 yrs

Boeing spent almost all of its cash on stock buybacks over the prior decade. In the past year, it cut 27,000 employees. It also fired its CEO over 2 deadly plane crashes and ensuing coverup, and gave him a $81 million exit package

On Jan. 6, when the mob stormed the Capitol, the stock market went up 250 points to a new record, handing the richest 1% an extra $300 billion. Also that day, a new report showed employment dropped for the first time since April and a then-record 3,900 people died of covid

Albertsons, US’ 2nd-largest grocery chain: *Profit is up 256% in pandemic *Stock at record high *Owned by private equity *CEO made $29M last year *Fired all California non-union drivers to replace them with gig workers with no benefits/min wage

The stock market for the 500 biggest companies ended the year up 15%, among the biggest gains ever. Also in that span, those companies lad off a record number of people, and wait times for food banks hit a record high

As part of the first stimulus, the Fed pumped about $3 trillion into the stock market, which helped it soar to record highs. At the same time, a record 30% of small businesses failed and unemployment tripled

MGM - Laid off 18,000 people while giving its CEO $700K in stock. The value of the stock doubled to $1.4M after the stock went up, partly because of increased profitability due to the layoffs

Wells Fargo made $10B in staff cuts, meaning tens of thousands of employees lost their jobs. Wells Fargo also made a $2B profit, did $24B in stock buybacks last year, and paid its CEO $36M

Black and Latino Americans make up about 32% of the population but own only 1.7% of all stock value

CEOs justify huge pay by saying they’re worth it. But there’s no correlation between profit and CEO pay at 61% of corporations. Since 1990, stock market: up 300%, CEO pay: up 550%

Stock for the parent company of Ann Taylor, Loft and Lane Bryant is down 75% in a year. It closed all 2,800 stores. So what did it do? Gave executives $5.5M in bonuses, including over $2M to the CEO

Where proceeds from stock buybacks + dividends went over the last 15 years: White people: $13 trillion, Black people: $0.18 trillion Hispanic people: $0.21 trillion When we talk about the systemic racial wealth gap, this is a pretty good place to start

Amid the early days of the pandemic, stocks grew 38%, the most ever in a 50-day span. At the same time, thousands of small businesses closed each day while thousands of people died from covid

Chevron - Its CEO made $33.1M/year. 5 other execs made a total of $59M. It spent $13B on stock buybacks and dividends in a year then laid off 10-15% of its staff

Big companies don’t just spend profits on manipulating stock. They are a record $10 trillion in debt - mostly for stock buybacks + dividends to enrich themselves. When the bill comes due, layoffs typically ensue

In April, a record 30M people lost their jobs and small businesses lost 55% of their revenue. At the same time, the stock market rose the most since 1987 and billionaires gained $308B

pros:

- this show is one of the few that doesn’t take itself seriously at all, and it’s honestly a breath of fresh air to turn your brain off while watching bl for once without being scared of what’s gonna happen & how the writers could ruin the show. it’s just pure fun.

- despite its ridiculousness, the writing surprisingly has great representation & depth. like none of us expected a conversation about consent, or the show to be actual great rep of chosen families and serving us a really good love story. I loved it.

- pun & nott’s cuteness though... they have chemistry & are a really chill ship despite all the drama that surrounds them. I really liked them :)

- the acting is really good. even though it’s over the top 75% of the time, the actors knew when to get serious & that’s what made the show stand out to me, bc it was ridiculous but still had serious & beautiful scenes.

- the characters are babes, they’re all really lovely & I can’t wait to see them be even more developed in season 2.

cons:

- it was too short, but thankfully it’s getting a season 2 so it’s okay. so I’ll probably get more attached to the characters and the whole story after that which I can’t really do with only 6 episodes. (I still like it a whole lot though)

- even though the disclaimer at the beginning of the show tells us to not care about realism, a few elements like the machine washing scene in ep 1 & the spaceship scene in ep 6 were too much for me and actually took me out of the show. the rest of the ridiculousness was okay for me but some stuff were just TOO out there for me (even with the disclaimer.)

would I rewatch it: yes!

Taking other people’s advice has been the worst for him. - He talked to Tobuscus about how he was accused of a horrible crime. Tobuscus went silent because everyone told him to and it didn’t go well for him. He was canceled until Greg talked to him and told him to defend himself. He did and he prevailed. - If you don’t hear both sides of a story you shouldn’t have an opinion. - He thinks he broke records about how many people hate him on Youtube. - He stayed silent because people he cares about told him to, but things are getting worse so it’s time he tells us what happened in the coming videos. - Shiloh: He called the police on her when she said she was going to kill herself and make it look like he did it. This is the second time he called the police on her. First time she said he was being abusive. He says he wanted to be alone and locked himself in a room and she started body slamming herself against the door. He says this is all documented in his old videos, Shiloh body slamming the door and him calling the cops to prove he’s not abusive. - Another ex of Shiloh’s made a video and said she did the same thing to him, but he ended up going to jail. Allegedly when he went in front of a judge they found a text from Shiloh talking about how she plotted to pin someone down for abuse. -He said it’s not his responsibility to look all this up. It’s up to us to look at all the videos and confirm it ourselves. (lol what ??) Says he doesn’t want to make a docuseries about his exes because he dumped them for a reason. - Shiloh started a gofundme. (he doesn’t finish this thought) - She’s been diagnosed with severe stuff. Guesses she has BPD or is a pathological liar. Says she was taken into custody by the police and put in a medical facility and the officer told him to escape because evicting her would take too long. He went to LA. While he was going she called and asked where he was. She said an alleged gang she was in was sending people after him. He was scared and made youtube videos about it. - Says she lied about someone that was training her knocking her out and that person said it didn’t happen. Says she told him she has a split personality named Aliana. Aliana told him she existed to protect him. - Says she told him they were soulmates and they were chosen for something supernatural. He fell for it. - He left Skye. She originally agreed to $12,000 a year to help her survive. Six months before she said she wanted half of his stuff if they divorce and he said that’s why he wanted a prenup. When he asked her for one she cried so he didn’t go through with it. Says now we know why she cried. - She pursued him in court. She said she was under duress when the original agreement was made but he says that made no sense because she made her own terms. She then pursued him for $250,000 and he settled for $90,000 because he was afraid she was going to try to claim his channels. That sucks because they both spent tens of thousands on lawyers when they could have handle it out of court. She decided to burn that bridge. - He left Skye for Shiloh. He doesn't think he lied about that before, but he doesn’t remember and might have felt differently back then. The biggest reason he left Skye was Shiloh. She made him feel like his life had more meaning and was amazing. He felt intoxicated by her. They had an amazing love life, passionate interactions, she was so talented and funny. Says the next video will be about Shiloh too.

- One of the pathological lies he had to endure during his relationship with Shiloh was she faked an accident the moment they met. She said she was going with another Canadian artist to an event and got into a car accident on their way back. He said he talked about this in his song “Her Lies”, a music video he dedicated to how many times she lied. - Says she cheated on him and got pregnant with someone else’s baby. He found out through Facebook. Says her story was she went back to Canada because she had free medical care there and had a dead 6 week old miscarriage allegedly going on inside her body. He says he said allegedly because he didn’t know what to believe in that relationship. When you find out someone was collecting money from you while cheating on you, what in that relationship was real?  - People don’t remember how Shiloh was because they have short memories. Back in the day his audience begged him to leave her. He left her 7 out of the 8 times they broke up. There was so much instability.  - He says she tried to shame him and manipulate him into dating her again by saying she was going to end her life once after a break up. She walked off with a suitcase and he let her go because he couldn’t stop her. He video taped himself crying when she was gone. He says deep down he thinks he did that because he wanted people to know where he was when she was doing that. He was so overwhelmed emotionally and couldn't do anything but freeze. He says there’s a clip of him crying out there while she walks off. At that point you just want that person to leave you alone. She came back with a little branch on her shoulder. She would do a thing where she would be in a mood and would go somewhere else. Says she told him she tried to hang herself but the branch snapped. He said he said he was glad she was alive, but there was no rope mark. - When she faked the car accident she used makeup on her forehead. He asked her about it and she said “it hurts so bad” and showed him her forehead, but she didn’t want to see a medical professional. It was magically healed in couple days when he asked about it. He was saying “wow it healed so fast” and didn’t even think he was being lied to. He wasn’t used to being lied to. - Says Skye didn’t lie to him much other than her saying she loved him. He doubts she ever loved him. When you cry when someone asks for a prenup, it says you’re only interested in someone for their assets. A prenup says it’s about love, not about all the stuff we have. Sounds like she was crying about the stuff. Some people perceive it as she was crying because she thought he was doubting the relationship. Says he could see where they are coming from, but that’s not what he was doing. He was disturbed by the crying. Obviously he was right because she tried to take him for a quarter million. Says he wasn’t well off, he was making $12,000, but Youtube is inconsistent so he didn’t want to shell out a lot of cash. Says he might not make enough to keep paying her $6,000 a month. Payed her six years of alimony, so a full grown adult can have financial assistance from him. When it was over she decided to publicly lash out at him. - Shiloh decided to reach out to Kai a couple times. Kai did not appreciate that. - Shiloh said their relationship was like an Adele song, if they split up she would show up at his doorstep, even if he was moved on with another person because that’s how much she loved him. When they would break up or discuss their relationship she would tell him no one will love you as much as I do. - There’s a video circulating around where you can hear him trolling the internet in the background. He was totally shook when this video popped up because he didn’t remember it. They did a prank where he walked in on her in the shower with a go pro. There was another prank where they pretended to go through a drive thru but no one was on the other side of the call. There was one on her channel where he said mean things to her. He says at the time people liked the video because they understood the joke, but now people want to use it as a sign that something crazy was going on. - The only reason she broke up with him was because he looked at hentai and she was a jealous person and it was a threat to her. As a result he got “remember love” tattoo on his wrists. Says we might remember someone asking someone to get a tattoo. Says that was rooted in his subconscious because he did it himself [hold up tattoos], got a tattoo so someone in Canada would take him back. Remember love means to be a good person. - When Shiloh miscarried in Canada, she said she had sepsis, but he questions if she had it because you normally die if you have it.He believed it at the time when she told him. He made a video announcing her sepsis and people yelled at him.  - When she went back she told him she needed rent money until she could get a passport. He talked to her uncle over the phone and he said she was full of it and she didn’t lose her passport. He says he made a sketch about that. - Finds out she’s publicly talking to a guy on facebook and he talked about making love to her and she would says she loved him. He says it’s ironic because he just made a music video about having sex with someone’s girlfriend. Says he was thinking it would be ironic if she was cheating on him while he made the video. Says she liked the video, guesses she was amused by it. She would pick up the money he sent her with the guy she was cheating with. - Says he heard the baby she had with this guy “didn’t go on living”. He says doesn’t know what happened, but someone told him it was a stillborn or SIDS. Says no one should be making video titles or making money off that. Says if she went through that he’s sorry. - Says Shiloh walked down the road and layed on the cement. The fire department dropped her off at his house. He says the fire department was weirded out by her pretending to be whatever on the side of the road. -She fake a seizure and memory loss and her uncle laughed at him for thinking it was real. She faked going back in time, reverting her age. He says it was her idea to post the seizure video because he told her either he can work on another video that night or he couple post it as education on mental disorders. He didn’t take it too seriously as a medical emergency because she already had previous episodes. Says she magically popped up and snapped out of it one time during one of these episodes when he said he was going to call an ambulance. - He was on the phone with his mom and aunt when she threatened to end her life and made it look like he did it. He called the police and filmed it. Says she once wrapped her arms around him and told him to hit her. -He giggled nervously and didn’t know what to do. -Said he’ll continue this in the next video.

(Pretty convenient he keeps stopping these videos after he hits the 10 minute mark even though the videos are not distinct different subjects and he’s filming them back to back.)

I made final 3, vote for me! 🎶 

My name in game is nu52 and I’m in Brilliant Boulevarde Tent. It’s Day 8 and I made it there with both of my final 2′s (both of which don’t like one another). I ended up holding HOH twice and Veto twice, along with winning my Eviction Competition. 

Last I left you off was after the first vote where the person I voted against survived the vote. They had a three person alliance setup and I was enemy number 1.

I got to work and one of my final 2′s was born when we promised to look out for one another throughout the game. Another of my final 2′s was born when I proposed to him, that we gift each other “Do-Over” powers in case we ever need them (important).

The final 2 I had with Adam (promise to look out for one another) ended up working out because he won HOH! He nominated house target and briber Josh as well as Josh’s number 1, Remi. It was looking good... Until Grodner decided she needed to protect her fav Josh! The game glitched and forced Adam to nominate again, except now it wouldn’t allow him to nominate the ones he had nominated previously. This was bad. He ended up nominating Koop (the only other girl I was semi-working with by not targeting her directly, but also working against since she was in an alliance with Josh and Remi) and Landon (my other eventual final 2).

At this point, I wasn’t sure who I was going to target. The only other girl who is also queer like me or the guy that just exchanged a Do-Over with me and ended up gifting me a Safety Power as well when I didn’t ask for one? I had them both in my back pocket, but I was most likely going to save Koop. Landon ended up using the Do-Over power and won Veto, pulling himself off of the block. Remi was the replacement nominee. It was perfect. I was going to have Koop and Landon both remain in the game! Unfortunately people got too comfortable and didn’t vote which led to Koop being evicted with 2 votes. Josh ended up picking Remi over Koop. This day cemented my two final 2′s as Adam nominated all of the house pretty much, but kept me safe the entire time, and Landon was gifting me Safety powers.

I was done with constantly being on the wrong side of the vote. Koop was with the other two guys I was targeting, but I was trying to build something with her. I had to do something to change the way the game was going. I went hard in the HOH comp and won! With Landon and Adam now working with me (but not with each other since Adam had nominated Landon they had it out for each other). I didn’t want to end up like Koop in an alliance of three where the two guys were closer to each other. Luckily, I was in an alliance of 2, twice, where my partners in crime would always side with me. I nominated Josh and Remi. It was time for Josh to go! Remi was not my target, but suddenly he decided to pipe up and make up lies about me. He started saying I was in a final 2 with him (even though I voted against him the previous round and had just nominated him and had never even exchanged a single DM with him). He was doing a lot and people were now being sus of me. I needed focus to remain on Josh, the brains of that crew. I was also weary of TheGuy (HOH from week 1 - read my post about that HERE). TheGuy had made me a Have-Not during week 1 and had voted out Koop instead of Remi week 2. I approached him and lamented that he, Koop, and I weren’t able to come together to form an LGBTQ+ alliance. He agreed and we buried the hatchet.

Well, Veto came along and it was the first time this new comp was being played about getting dunked in a water tank or something. I ended up getting 1 point and still won. The other two must have scored 0. My week was going as planned. I let it be known that Josh was my target and Josh went home by a unanimous vote. Things were looking good. I only needed Remi gone and the other three would have my back over anyone else’s. Little did I know, Grodner was not done protecting her favs.

The game made sure that no one could login to play the HOH. I wasn’t stressing though, because as outgoing HOH, I didn’t even get to play. Somehow, Grodner decided I would be HOH again and didn’t let me know and wouldn’t allow me to log in. This cause the twist to activate. When an HOH fails to nominate two people they are automatically nominated themselves! How could I be HOH as the current outgoing HOH? How could I be nominated on my own HOH? Why wasn’t it letting me login? I was sure I was done for. I was nominated next to TheGuy as it also picked the nominee next to me at random and the replacement would also be random. Remi could potentially escape this week with either me or one of my allies going. I flopped at the Veto. I still had one Do-Over power from when Landon and I exchanged gifts. I activated it and I ended up winning some alcohol memory Veto by getting only two questions right. Of course I pulled myself off of the block. Remi was my replacement. My last obstacle to the finish line. I just needed everyone to agree to taking him out. Remi and I patched up our differences before his eviction. Everyone was nice and this is just a game. Now, with another unanimous vote going my way after the disastrous blindsides, things were looking up. Until Grodner stepped in again.

I was outgoing HOH again, though I shouldn’t have been. I was unable to play in the HOH. I was nervous, but no matter who won I would be safe. Production had other plans for me. See, this “week” was different. This week didn’t have a Veto competition. It would all come down to an Eviction Competition! I wasn’t worried as one of the guys would be going home. I set myself up perfectly to get to final 3. Unfortunately, TheGuy won and the game would not allow him to log on to make his nominations. He ended up getting nominated and I was chosen by Grodner “at random” to be the second nominee. I couldn’t rely on my allies to vote out TheGuy. I had to win the Eviction Competition. I got off of work and got to work trying to login. Of course, the game wouldn’t let me. I was freaking out. I had 3 minutes left to login and play or else I would be evicted as TheGuy only needed 1 point in the comp to win. I was finally able to sign in after 20 minutes of trying and I got 2 points. No Do-Overs or safeties of any sort were able to be played. Had I won? Would I be getting evicted? The GameChen made the announcement. The winner of the Eviction Competition was... ME! TheGuy was evicted and I was making final 3 with Landon and Adam. 

Now, I had no idea what that entailed. Would we have to do a three-part HOH? Would there be a jury because I doubted anyone would come back to vote. Turns out, it’s a popularity contest. People I have never interacted with, who don’t know everything that went down or all of the alliances and DMs and chore farming I did are now going to vote for me to either win or lose my house. I would highly appreciate it if you would evict someone else that is NOT me (nu52). I have played hard and had to overcome Grodner constantly targeting me for not being a straight white man with noodle hair. My house vote is from 12:00-19:00 California time. Tumblr is pretty much the only chance I have at getting votes. If you all want to rally your votes I would appreciate you all. 

Also, at some point, I also got a secret mission where I had to be the most talkative, but Remi was going off on me and was talking the most, so I almost flopped, but I ended up completing the task.

Full disclosure, names have been changed. I want to keep my anonymity. I rewrote the words as per her request, she thinks her writing is illegible, I myself, Tasha, have never been inside the hallway. 

Things that I know, which isn’t a whole lot.

The closet is where I go when I dissociate. I don’t remember it. It’s also where Natasha has been for more than 10 years. 

I’m not the first host, Natasha was. She’s been “sleeping” in the closet since age 12 and has 0 idea that we have continued to live. I don’t actually know that she isn’t aware, that’s just what feels true. 

The “Memory Room” is a filing system. Only Jamie can go in there and she files memories with who can handle them. She takes away ones I can’t.

Louise is a caretaker. She’s in her 50′s, takes care of Anna and Sadie. She’s placed by the door to prevent them from fronting. She also comes into the closet when I am there and calms me. This, I also don’t remember.

Anna and Sadie are littles. Anna is 5, Sadie is 8. Anna is the picture perfect happy child. Sadie has trauma memories. She is scared and sad 99% of the time. 

Karen also has trauma memories. Lots of anxiety. The one time she fronted with my therapist she shook like a leaf and couldn’t stay longer than a few minutes. 

Penelope is the person that fronts the most outside of myself. She age slides from 25-28. She is very calming, great at handling stress, whispers in my ear when I’m having anxiety that everything will be okay. A very strong woman. 

Jamie, as I said, handles the memories. She also draws, is very “Angsty” but she hates it when I call her that. She’s 17 and the epitome of how I was as a teenager. She’s also angry when I need to be but don’t know how to be. Her and Penelope are the bosses. 

Riktor isn’t a great person. He was “evicted” into the garbage pit about 5 years ago. They said he was mean to the littles, would yell and throw things at them. Self harm was what he considered punishment for my “stupid” behavior. I didn’t know until recently, these decisions were made before I was aware. I don’t know if I would’ve disagreed with Penelope and Jamie even though I know we have to work on him and his pain. 

Penelope and Jamie are placed at the back to prevent Riktor from coming back inside.

The kitchen is a little strange as they don’t eat on the inside. It’s main purpose is cleaning supplies, as Jamie is also a clean freak.

I was only diagnosed about 6 months ago. In that time I learned that they are already well established. They have a system that I haven’t knowingly been a part of. This is all new and honestly, scary to me, but it has been their life. Should be an interesting one.

30 minimum, I do a lot of crafting for my island, so when it’s late night it’s good to have my number up after hours.

Early morning or late at night. I work 6 days a week at the least so when I’m off it’s all day!!

The back of my island seemed the easiest to terraform first. I’m indecisive and have been changing paths and fencing on my mainland since I got terraforming.

Episode XXIX: The Jokers Wild

  Welcome to another eviction night recap...

what will the finale of Prank Week have in store...will there be no eviction...will the person with the least amount of votes go home...well the recap announcer said we will see what other pranks we have in store plus teased an endurance comp so lets expect the unexpected here on day 72

Things have been thrown into a frenzy with less then a month to go as the house guests are beginning to question where loyalties lie...

Before we meet up with the Veto ceremony Julie asks a burning question and that's will Christie's relationship with Tommy pre series be her downfall?

Well... Holly is glad that Michie didn't change things as Nick was her target on Day 38 and still is

Christie is confident as Nick is a real threat and she hopes that Taco Tuesday last week helped sway the target

Nick however is also confident he is staying as he was the one who put Christie up on the block besides him thinking if there were any house guest more polarizing then him it was her

Nicole wants Nick in the house but she needs to be careful to show she wants him to stay lest she be a target herself

Christie and Tommy have been a package deal since day one and Tommy is sad cause he will loose his 'bromance' Nick so Christie is all he has

Jess also wants Christie to stay as she and Nick don't see eye to eye. Plus once Nick leaves she feels she can be the third person in any of the duos that will be left (um no honey since your not in a duo you will be expendable)

Nichole says how this punishment has been all kinds of cathartic and goes to pie Michie as he hasn't gotten him in a while however he hides behind a door and pushes the pie back onto Nicole

Nick needs three votes to stay he is sure he has Nicole and if Nicole is in then Cliff is in and there is his boy Tommy....but wait...suddenly Tommy isn't sure if he's voting Nick or Christie and Nick wonders why he wants Christie to stay over him.... he says that he made a promise and he can't break it

Nick says in the DR how he's had Tommy's back where is the loyalty...now reality is setting in that if there isn't some other twist then he's a goner.

Nick vents to Nicole about how upset he is that Tommy is keeping Christie over him and says that ever since Sam got evicted that Nicole is the only one he trusts completely...Nicole says maybe there is more to the reason Tommy wants Christie to stay and she wants to investigate

Nicole is 'working with Holly and Michie' but she wants to get Nick to stay even though he's clearly the target and so she tries to talk with Holly. Holly wants to get a big threat out and says that even if the vote were to flip she will still get out a big threat. She says Christie already dodged club jury two weeks in a row and wonders if there is more to her relationship with Tommy after all Tommy said he was voting to keep Christie.

We now get a montage of the house guests getting jump scared by projections of murder clowns... Nicole is freaking out more then she did with the birds last week

Nick is making a final appeal to campaign to Michie and Holly to try to flip the vote.

It's time for our visit to club jury...

Jack doesn't think he played the game that well and thinks he ran his mouth too much...he can't wait for the next member as there are a few activities he could use a partner in like Marco Polo...he hopes it's Sis but also hopes she wins the game

Kat says she's here for the conspiring bitches meeting she's upset she didn't win but a lot of things happened to get her out...lots of bitches. She shows Jack video from the week (Tommy's HOH, Field Trip, OTEV, and ultimately her eviction.) Jack asks who she thinks will be the next person to join and she says Michie, Holly, or Jess.... wrong, wrong and wrong some more

Sis arrives and feels betrayed Michie nominated her as she felt they were on the same team. She shows a video (Michie's HOH, noms, Michie winning VETO and keeping things the same). They ask Sis who she thinks will be next and she says she thinks it's Nick...we shall soon see.

It is now time for the live vote and eviction and so the nominees have a few moments for final appeal:

Christie says that for the past five years she's been inspired by four life principles: be impeccable with your words, don't make assumptions, try not to take things personally, and always do your best. She says these are also the tendents that can help the game. She knows she's not perfect but she's playing a game she loves. Nick is a master of the game and she hates they are on the block together.

Nick uses his time on the block to be an advocate for mental health. He hopes he is making his parents proud. He misses Sam and wishes he faught harder for him to stay. He also gives a shout out to Bella and says how he can't wait to make out with her on finale night and calls her out for stealing his cross when she was evicted. He appreciates being voted as america's prankster. He tells Michie how he can't wait to hit up Las Vegas with him outside the house.

Now to vote... Nominess and HOH can't vote. she also reminds them that with five people elgable to vote it only takes three votes to evict.

They talk about his strategy to put Christie up against him and about what he meant when he told Michie that he had his back. She asks if she thinks that they made the right choice and he says no cause he was the biggest target and now he doesn't know where chips will fall. They talk about Tommy and his loyalties (or lack their of) as well as Taco Tuesday. Julie says that he will talk about his showmance with Bella and show the goodbye messages in the after show and asks for final thoughts and he says he hopes Holly or Michie win as they deserve it.

Now the HOH...as outgoing HOH Holly can't compete as Julie says Prank Week is officially over but the scares have just begun as we play 'Hold On Fright' a classic wall competition with a horror twist...

Ain’t a Coward

Dan brings David and Charlie to help him practice lightning-summoning. But it goes horribly wrong.

"Dan is trying to summon lightning with the clap of his asscheeks," Charlie briefly explained to David. David nodded understandingly.

The three were on the flattened top of Mt. Miiverse. A grassy area specified for picnics, (future) marriages, and other miscellaneous things. This time, it was for Dan's weekly lightning practice. The clouds in the sky were dark on the brink of rain.  

Dan looked at Charlie with genuine disgust. "Charles spits lies! I'm simply trying a new technique to make the contact less surprising and lagged. A technique that involves me doing a big clap like I'm singing the big daddy shark part of baby shark."

"Then why do you need me?" David asked.

"Well duh! Because the clap, combined with the thunder, has a chance of blowing out my ears even WITH these special sound-proof headphones," Dan said, pointing to the soundproof headphones around his neck. Will made and gifted it for Dan's birthday last year. Dan turned around and looked into the foggy horizon. "I need you to quiet the sound, later."

"You've only ever successfully summoned lightning 12 times in 3 years of training!" David said, crossing his arms and staring at the back of Dan. "And if this is your first time trying this technique, there is a low chance of it working."

Dan groaned. "Actually, 8 out of 12 of those times were during a thunderstorm, which made it easy. That's cheating. I ain't a coward, Meadows."

David rolled his eyes. "The reason I'm grumpy is because I had to hike up this entire mountain by myself!"

"What?" Dan asked. "I thought Charlie flew you up here?"

"My powers are weak. I'm still affected by George's venom saliva after I kissed him a month ago. I had to climb that entire mountain by myself, too," Charlie spat, his wings mimicking rolling eyes. "You can't tell, Daniel, but I am annoyed as fuck so can you please get on with your training so I can go down and not look at your dumb-dumb face," Charlie said. Charlie and David made their way to the other side of the grassy top for safety.

Dan took a deep breath and walked near the side of the cliff. About 3 meters away from the countless mile fall. He stood facing the horizon. The wind blew in his face. "Charlie, chill the wind," Dan commanded, without looking at Charlie.

He slid his left foot back and leaned his body forward. He positioned his arms like the jaws of a hungry alligator. Clear mind, clear mind. Usually he'd have Jack to help him with that, but he isn't a coward. I can't ask for help forever. If I never learn to summon lightning by myself, when will I ever learn to manipulate it?

"David, quiet sound," Dan commanded. Clear mind, clear mind. Every emotion and doubt evicted from his body. And he was hollow. His skin grew warmer to welcome the great sparks with open arms. Literally.

Opening the mouth of the shark just a little more, Dan threw his hands together.

But his hands never touched. They sprung backwards, almost breaking his shoulders. KA-BOOM. CRASH.

Smoke surrounded him. Tingles of excitement coursed through Dan's palms. He looked down and gasped at the sight.  Icy blue cobwebs sparkled between his fingers. The lightning made a faint hizzing noise. Dan's eyes were glued to the changing maze of light. A smile grew on his face.

"Did it work?!" David called. David lifted the noise to its usual volume. He ran to Dan.

Dan's mind was brought back onto the ground. He turned around with a big grin on his face. "Yeah! Look at th-"

A bolt flung from Dan's fingertips. Faster than light, it shot David's stomach. Nobody had time to react before David was propelled a few meters backward.

Dan and Charlie's breaths were taken away. Dan dashed to David, but the crunching sound of grass under his feet was a second off. Oh no, oh no oh no oh no.

"David!" Dan tried to scream. But the sound came out 3 seconds too late. Lagged sound.

Charlie fumbled his way to his friend. He pressed two fingers to David's wrist. Yet, he found no pulse. "Is David... dead?" Charlie yelled to Dan, who was standing beside him.

Dan froze. The lightning still tingled between his fingers. "Oh no... Oh no oh no oh no. I fucked up, Charlie. I fucked up." He forced himself to not cry. He wasn't a coward. He couldn't show it.

Charlie began CPR, something Jack taught him months ago for situations like this. Dan felt stupid. He didn't even know how to do CPR, let alone not kill his friend.

Somewhere on the island, the crashing waves around Matt grew quiet. Too quiet.

Somewhere on the island, the KER-CHUNK of Will's toaster shattered his warm glass of beans. His breakfast was ruined, and so were his ears.

Somewhere on the island, Rhianna's cats mimicked the croak of frogs.

"He isn't breathing. He can't respond. Heart not beating," Charlie said, his voice a few seconds off. Charlie’s wing wacked Dan's leg. "Do something! Get something!"

"We live on an island! Where in the world are w...we going to get a defibrillator or something?" Dan said. He could hear his fast heart clear in his ears. The realization sunk in him. He stared at his hands and their lightning cobwebs. He knew what he had to do.

Dan took a deep breath. Clear mind, clear mind. He knelt beside David's body. David's skin was pink and his face was stuck in a pained expression. Dan rubbed his hands together. Sparks flew from his hands. David was going to die either way. He had to try.

"Charlie, cut his shirt," Dan said. Charlie tore David's shirt into shreds. Dan took another deep breath before he slapped his meaty hands on David's right collar bone and under his left nipple.

Dan spewed the shock through David's body. He had absolutely 0 idea of what he was doing. The tingling was gone. He had used his lightning. He stood back and Charlie went back into doing CPR.

The sound of everyone's breathing was amplified, with every other sound quieted. Dan could hear the breathing of Jack nearby. Jack was panting, running. Climbing, possibly. Dan fought back tears. A wave of coolness flew through his body, but he couldn't chill his body temperature for long. Does David have a will? Where the hell are we going to bury him?

Another feathery wack flew at the back of Dan's leg. He turned around. Charlie's mouth was moving, but no voice came from it. Charlie pointed to David. Dan tilted his head.

"He's breathing," Charlie's voice said.

"Oh. Oh OH. THANK FUCKING GOD," Dan said with perfect clarity. The sound around them came back. The chirps of birds. The crashing waves. The crunching grass under their feet. The whisper of restless wind.

Dan sighed. He collapsed to the grassy ground. "I really fucked up, Charlie." Dan wanted to curl into a ball and yell into the sky, but he ain’t a coward.

"But you also saved him," Charlie said. "Well, you did almost kill him. I guess you paid for your mistakes."

A weak groan came from nearby. A hand gripped onto the side of the flat area. Jack slopily hoisted himself on the grass, panting. "GUYS, DAVID JUST DIED. DAVID'S FUCKING GONE. HE HAS NO MIND AND SHIT."

"We been knew," Charlie said. He turned to Dan. "Thanks, Daniel."

"You're welcome," Dan replied. Despite the fact that he didn't know if Charlie was being sarcastic or not. The man stared at David in his dead, brown eyes. He muttered under his breath, "God, he's going to kill me when he wakes up. And I deserve it, to be honest."

In today’s episode of Real Estate Investing with Jay Conner, The Private Money Authority, let's look back to when Corey Reyment joined Jay as they talked about the BRRRR strategy.

The BRRRR strategy stands for Buy, Rehab, Rent, Refinance and Repeat. This method is a real estate investment strategy that involves flipping distressed property, renting it out, and then refinancing it to fund further rental property investment.

Corey Reyment is a full-time real estate investor originally from Green Bay. He and his wife Carrie recently purchased a home in Seminole, FL, and are spending their winter months out of the freezing cold.

Corey and Carrie bought their first duplex at the end of 2016 and parlayed that into 115 doors within three years of that first purchase using the BRRRR Strategy almost exclusively creating a portfolio now worth over $8 Million dollars. They also run Fox Cities Home Buyers and Wisconsin Discount Properties, the largest real estate wholesaling company in Wisconsin, where they did about $2 million in revenue in 2020.

They also teach students across the country looking to get their first BRRRR Deal and run a Mastermind Group called Launch, which helps businesses go from working in their real estate business to working on their business.

hey hi hello, this is my third kid. though i really shouldn’t of picked up a third. his name is dom and he’s an actual asshole.

bio:

dominic vale grew up right outside of seattle, washington. he lived with his mother, bouncing from place to place every few years. it was this part of his mother’s lifestyle that had original attracted dominic’s father, erebus. his mother was a self-proclaimed creature of the night. her lifestyle of prostitution, drugs, and alcohol led to a less than pleasant life for dominic growing up. still, during the moments his mom was sober, or not with another man, she was caring and kind. she always tried to have food on the table, and make sure dom was still going to school. even so, they had to move around the city a lot. sometimes they rented apartments, sometimes they lived with longer-termed boyfriends. dom practically had memorized the standard eviction notice, and wasn’t unfamiliar with the sound of fighting behind closed doors. so, he mianly kept to himself, that is, until his sister was born. he sister wasn’t a demigod, she was simply mortal, but that didn’t stop him from loving every part of her. he became fiercely protective of her, shortly after her pregnancy, his mom returning to her old ways.

it was one night, when his mother, sister, and him were all home, did monsters break into their apartment. thirteen year old dom did everything he could to fend them off, but luckily a pack of demigods who were on a quest, hunting the very monsters that showed up in his apartment, rescued him and his sister. his mother wasn’t so lucky. she was killed when the building collapsed, the fight weakening the already crumbling structure. the demigods got dom and his sister out, scarred after having witness their own mother’s death. his sister didn’t travel far with them, though. she was dropped off at her dad’s house (a much nicer life, but lost the custody battle due to faked evidence against him). it still pains dom to think about how he left her behind, though he goes and visits her often. thoughts of his mother still plague him, but now, as a 21 year old, he lives in olympia. he has a job in long island, not liking the constraints of camp. this, risky as it is, helps him bring in mortal money to send to his sister, or trade in for dramcha at camp.

dominic is generally pretty cold. his ancestry and upbringing left him with little ways of expressing his emotions, besides bursts of anger. he is sarcastic and cynical, almost to the point of annoyance for most people. he does, however, tend to have a soft spot for those he cares truly and deeply about.

demigods who rescued him (0/3):  these demigods would have to be older than 21. they are a part of the group that rescued dominic from his apartment when he was thirteen. he owes these people his life, and treats them with the utmost respect. they have also become good friends, and dominic goes out of his way to see them and help them when they need it.

Monster Energy’s Nyjah Huston Takes First Place in Men’s Skateboard Street at Dew Tour Des Moines

Skateboard competitors are formally back! Monster Energy praises group rider Nyjah Huston on taking top place in the Men’s Skateboard Street Final at Dew Tour Des Moines on Sunday.

Skateboard competitors are formally back! Monster Energy praises group rider Nyjah Huston on taking top place in the Men’s Skateboard Street Final at Dew Tour Des Moines on Sunday. Built as part of a $6.1 million job, the skatepark will stay an irreversible component for the Midwest skateboarding scene.

As the very first big skateboarding competitors given that the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Dew Tour Des Moines brought in more than 300 male and female skateboarders from around the world. Adding to the destination, the street and park competitors worked as an international Olympic certifying occasion – the just one kept in the United States – for skateboarding’s upcoming launching in the Tokyo video games this summer season.

The occasion occurred under strict pandemic security standards and with minimal viewer participation on website. Starting on Thursday, May 20, the field of rivals was limited through a series of extreme qualifier rounds and Saturday’s semi-finals. Men’s Skateboard Street: Monster Energy’s Nyjah Huston Dominates, Aurelien Giraud Takes Third

The Men’s Skateboard Street last on Sunday ended a weekend of first-rate skateboarding on a high note. All 8 finalists had actually emerged from the high-pressure semifinal including 32 skaters on Saturday night. Monster Energy’s Aurelien Giraud certified in 2nd location while Nyjah Huston made it in 6th location.

When the eight-rider last got underway, Huston continued to control right out eviction. Starting in the Run area, the five-time world champ struck the California Skateparks-created course with 2 best efforts. On Run 1, Huston created a 360 kickflip the kicker, bluntslide fakie the flat rail, nollie frontside boardslide the rail, frontside bluntslide the high Hubba, kickflip behind lipslide the kicker rail, huge spin frontside boardslide fakie the rail, frontside nosebluntslide the ledge and behind 180 nosegrind the high Hubba for 8.21 points and an early lead. In Run 2, Huston raised the bar by including switch frontside tailslide down the rail and a technical half Cab behind smith to fakie the high Hubba for a 9.10-point Run rating.

When the action moved into Best Trick efforts, Huston kept the pressure by sending out a Caballerial behind noseblunt fakie (9.25 points) and switch frontside heelflip tailslide (9.14 points) down the high Hubba. After missing his 3rd effort, and with Japan’s Yuto Horigome on his heels, Huston asserted his lead by pulling a Caballerial behind tailslide fakie down the Hubba for 8.41 points. On his last effort, Huston sealed the handle a technique he had not even landed in practice; a switch heelflip to frontside 5-0 grind down the high Hubba for 9.56 points.

With an overall rating of 37.05 points, Huston declared the title of Dew Tour champ in Des Moines. He likewise stays in top place on the authorities Olympic rankings for Skateboard Street with just a few weeks to precede the Tokyo Olympics this summer season.

“Every win means a lot, especially this one coming back after Covid and not skating contests for a little while – it’s a special one!” stated Huston upon taking top place in Men’s Skateboard Street at Dew Tour Des Moines on Sunday. “Thank you, Iowa. We are stoked to be back!”

Huston is the winningest street skateboarder of perpetuity. After winning the first-ever X Games Real Street Best Trick competitors in late 2020, Huston now owns 19 X Games medals in overall (13 gold, 4 silver, 2 bronze). Huston is the present SLS World Champion after declaring his 3rd back-to-back title in 2019.

Joining Huston on the podium in Iowa, Monster Energy’s Aurelien Giraud entered the last all set to send his signature huge techniques. In the Run area, the 23-year-old from Lyon, France, created a perfect very first effort: Frontside noseblunt slide the Hubba, hardflip to frontside boardslide the rail, behind overcrook the A-frame rail, behind weak grind the flat rail, kickflip up the podium and an enormous space to behind noseblunt slide the Hubba made Giraud 8.62 points.
