Hello my wonderful fandom family :) Thanks for being so patient with me. I know I have till January but I am moving/slash road tripping at the end of Sept to a new state. Which is a HUGE change. Going two time zones ahead and everything. So wanting to get it out there before I move and have even less time LOL Also thank you for wanting to take this journey with me. S6 was hard on all of us.

Haven't had a show rock me this hard in a very long time. So I'm forever grateful for the love and comments these in depth reviews get. Never want to take that for granted. This was a ROUGH season to say the least. But I’m excited to dissect it with decompressed eyes and somewhat healed shipper heart. Be lying if I was saying it was fully healed. But was a much needed break for me. Let us begin shall we?

6x01 Strike Back.

Premiere starts off with a literal bang. They’re all trying to figure what is actually happening. The mastermind clearly not the man they just took down in Luke Moran. Also loving how scruffy Tim is in this first shot of the premiere. The stubble all over that gorgeous jawline of his. Mmm. Delicious dusting. Love to break me off a piece. Wouldn't be a review if Feral Caitlin didn't make an appearance would it? ha God he's beautiful I can't help myself. This is his fault really.

Anyway back to matter at hand.... Lucy points out Luke may have been a patsy for the real crime. Diverting all their resources to this this one spot instead of their real target. Our girl always being the brains and Tim being impressed by it. They go hand in hand. You know that man loves her brain. Her intelligence is just one of many reason's he fell in love with her. Fun to watch her flex it I have to say.

There’s so much to love about these shots in the shop with them. The Metro call sign being one of them. It does things to me. It’s just sexy. Also the automatic way she’s paired with him in this moment. Like anyone else would be in that car with him but still. Ever the packaged deal. Just the little things I always love so very much. They don’t share shops anymore. So this is a treat. Riding together, brainstorming, and just being the bad ass team they always are in the field. Makes my shipper heart happy to see it.

After the Federal Reserve mayhem we skip 6 weeks into the future. I always wondered what happened in those six weeks with our ship. Probably nothing massive tbh. But be fun to know what shippy goodness could’ve occurred. I imagine they had some time off after that. Spent it together and decompressed from the madness. Just a nice thought to think about is all. *cough fic writers cough.*

We start off our cuteness with Lucy in Tim’s office studying. There’s so much to love about this scene it’s unreal. Let’s start with Lucy taking residency in his office like it’s hers. Knowing it’s a quiet place for her to retreat to. Also I’m sure Tim offered it up long ago for her. Which makes me giddy to no end. He’s not the least shocked that she’s using it. Only that she’s not out on patrol. Married status continues to level up in this moment.

Lucy explains she’s fallen way behind in her studies. OT is killing her atm. I can’t imagine how stressed she feels. Lucy is our resident academic. Not having the time to nerd out on her studies has to be killing her. It’s why she reaches out to her man for help. To pivot this in a different direction. Something that worked for Tim when he needed studying time. Asking if she could ride with him today? Could quiz her between calls.

Getting flashbacks to 2x02 when she helped him study between calls for his exam. I always love the callbacks they do for them. Continuity is ship crack for me. I eat it up. He accepts and Lucy is beaming. Their smiles in this scene are so adorable. Couldn’t be more in love if they tried tbh. I remember thinking how much I missed our idiots in love so much. I'll be this way for S7 too. I miss them.

Tim looks excited for this challenge. You can see it in his face above. But he is also letting her know how hard it’s going to be if she wants him to do this. That it’s probably not going to solve her problem. But he’s willing to expand her knowledge base on wildcards. This way she can take any curve balls Primm has to throw. Lucy’s smile is everything when she thanks him. Relieved her man is gonna help her her out. I mean of course he would. Nothing he wouldn't do for her and she knows it.

I remember seeing the funniest post for this moment before it aired. How it was her basically asking ‘Babe, please be mean to me.’ LOL Lord knows this woman is well aware he wasn’t gonna take it easy on her. Just like the old days. It's where she learned the most. So it makes sense she would wanna dip her toe back in that pool.

Tim is ready to roll. Starting his ‘boot’ engines back up. Don’t tell me it's not a little bit of a kink for Tim. That man is too damn excited to be able to boss her around again. That being said says she learns best when she’s pissed off. I mean he’s not wrong…No one knows how to teach her better than he does. Lucy counters by saying does she? Or is this is just giving him permission to be an ass?

Tim letting her know if that’s really how she feels she doesn’t actually want his help. Lucy backtracks and is desperate for him to guide her with this. Saying she needs it. Tim is lighting up like a Christmas tree. You know that man LOVES her needing him professionally. It’s been awhile since she has. He’s excited. Lucy has been a self sufficient cop for long time now. Hasn’t needed his guidance for quite some time. So for her to come to him with this he is a happy camper.

Tim is thrilled to put his T.O. hat back on for her. They have such married energy through out this scene. Lucy telling him she doesn’t like his excited smile. Tim deflecting saying it's just his smile haha The absolute wifey look she gives him is hilarious. They just be flirting freely in the hallways. Like they aren’t completely married at this point. Even though he’s driving her insane she follows him out with an 'in love' smile. She loves her ass of a boyfriend haha

They hit the road and Lucy is still questioning her decision. Oh my girl. Saying maybe should’ve chosen Harper or Lopez instead…Tim makes a joke how Angela just got back. Her cop brain is just booting up. Which earns a smile out of Lucy. She loves this man sitting next to her so very much. Written all over her face. Doesn’t take long before Tim triggers a Lucy rant though.

Poor man is just trying to help the woman he loves get through this. Wasn't expecting the time bomb he received. He sets her off by saying no matter who teaches her they all have the same database. That there’s only a 8 percent difference between ranks. This is what ignites the Lucy meltdown above. That Primm is going to use that eight percent to trip her up. His face above when she starts is priceless. Tim is just bracing for impact at this point LMAO Ain't no stopping what's coming his way.

The flood gates have opened and phew lord what a meltdown it is LOL Holy hell. She is the queen of them. I adore how Melissa can shoot off so much dialogue in one breath. It’s impressive af if you ask me. Also makes me cackle so much cause I’ve been her. So many times when I’m under immense stress I do the same. You prattle on until you run out of steam. I can’t believe there isn’t a gif set of this rant so I made one. It’s too good not to have in this review.

It’s the look on Tim’s face that has me ROLLING. It’s been awhile since he’s had an epic Lucy rant thrown at him and it shows. Eric the King of facial expressions is at it again. I’m laughing so damn hard. I remember having to pause cause I was laughing so much at his expression. He most definitely wasn't expecting the rant that he got. If you can look at him above and not laugh you're made of stone. Hang in there Tim lmao Your girl Is worth this intense stress/anxiety vomit she just spewed all over you. It's like he doesn't even know where to begin after she's done. So he just doesn't....

The married energy continues once Lucy has wrapped up her meltdown. Tim being the smart man he is doesn’t say a word. He’s learned a thing or two from this relationship. Lucy though takes his silence as saying everything for him. With her ‘Please don’t.’ Tim trying not to start anything telling her he’s said nothing. He truly wasn’t expecting the explosion he got. Was happy to be a passenger princess today, while he quizzed her through out the day. And instead got an epic freak out right out the gate.

Tim can’t win for losing in this scene. (or this episode really) Lucy telling him she hear him thinking it. I remember there being a Chenford Bingo of some sort before the premiere. And exasperated husband was on there. This delivered that in spades. His reaction after her saying this is gold. Haha This is the woman you’ve chosen to love Timothy. LMAO You know he loves her to death neuroses and all but good lord ha.

Their banter never fails to hit and the marriage vibes on top of this is top tier. I am here for it all damn day. One of those 'When did they get married again?' moments. His look at the end is like he’s chanting to himself . ‘You love this woman…you love this woman...’ Lucy tops it off saying she just won’t sleep till the exam. Leaving Tim to shake his head more and not say a word. Only look out the window as he rolls his eyes. Primo banter and chemistry here. *chef kiss*

They roll up to their first wildcard. I adore the Metro call sign as they do. Tim assigning the crime scene to Lucy as he does. *fans self* I can’t explain why the call sign so sexy. Just is. Also them sharing it on the scene also gets me all in my feels. Tim is telling her that he is there as a resource for her. But she is the one in charge. Asking her what’s her first move?

The Plain Clothes Day vibes are all over this scene and it's fantastic. Another callback I am so happy they touched on. Lucy confidently strides onto the scene and explains her move. Tim tells her to call it in. Love the way she looks at him the entire time she does. Tim asks her what else? This is where Lucy’s confidence starts to wain sadly.

Where that panicked rookie from all those years ago begins to resurface. The way she is talking at Tim trying to figure it out oh my lord. The PCD vibes are so strong. Only this time Tim is helping her out a lot more. Unlike back in S1 he was there to watch her flop around, second guess herself and drown. It’s much different this time around. He truly wants her to succeed and let's her know as much in his responses. Lucy doesn’t see that in this moment though unfortunately.

Tim telling her the obvious boxes are checked but what’s her wildcard? The spiraling is so real for her in this moment. It hurts to watch the anxiety build in Lucy. Tim testing her knowing she can do this but her confidence is eroding in this moment rapidly. He is trying to get her there faster by saying she doesn’t have a minute. Which she really doesn’t when we know how this scene ends…

One of my fav parts of this scene is the line above. The kindness and gentleness Tim has. Because he wasn’t in love with her during PCD like he is now. Here he is trying to be supportive and gently guide her to the answer. Even give her an out for it. S1 Tim never would’ve said there’s no shame in not knowing the answer. Not this directly anyways. Doing his damn best to support her through this. But also help her get to the answer so she learns. Lucy takes it the wrong way though.

Reason being it has nothing to do with the man next to her. That man would die first before not supporting her. Level headed Lucy would know that. Sadly she is not here with us at this crime scene. Who she really is mad at is herself at this point. Because she should know the answer and her brain is stalling out in this moment. Tim told her he wasn’t gonna take it easy on her. But breaks a little with his kind reply. Giving her an out if she wants it. Lucy can’t handle it though...Because she is being far harder on herself for this than Tim could ever be. I can relate so hard to this it's unreal.

I do love the way she says ‘Sergeant Bradford, please.’ Lucy feels like she’s suffocating in her own thoughts. The panicked rush to get this right and hitting a wall. The anger building towards Tim at the same time. The confidence she has built since S3 just melting away the more she stresses. All the while taking it out on Tim. Why you ask? Because in this moment she is projecting that anxiety and stress onto him with her reply. Defense mechanism thy name is Lucy Chen.

Doesn’t take long after that line for the sprinklers to come on….The wildcard revealing itself on its own. We watch as the evidence literally gets washed away and the bullet down the drain….Lucy rushes to chase it and watches as it goes down a storm drain. A reflection for how she feels about her hopes of passing this test…It’s a rough scene to watch unfold for her. The devastation on her face when she realizes that bullet is gone is very rough.

They return to the station and Lucy is as defeated as she can be. Hoping no one knows about it as as she rubs her tattoo. They start to play clown music as she enters. SMH. Tim trying not to laugh. Aaron doesn’t help when he also laughs at her misfortune. Not a good day for our girl….Lucy gets distracted by Wesley being there with the baby.

We get a small sweet departure from her anxiety in this moment. While she has him she wants his legal opinion on her crime scene. He too laughs. These men in her life are the worst right now. Not helping her building anxiety and loss of confidence. Wes telling her she fatally ruined that scene. That she’s gonna need a straight up confession to convict someone. And that’s only if she finds the killer…oof.

We rejoin our beautiful duo staking out the crime scene. Lucy grasping at straws to fix what she so royally screwed up. Her heightened state of spiraling continues on in this scene. Lucy admits she wants to skip the exam. Her face breaks my damn heart. Killing me here Melissa. I do love the way he says her first name in response. Still gets me he can. After years of Officer Chen and ‘boot.’ Just hits differently and makes my shipper soul happy.

Tim tells her she is ready. That man would not tell her she was ready if she wasn’t. Relationship or not that man doesn’t hold back. Wouldn't send her head long into failure. If Lucy was in a better place emotionally she would’ve heard him. Heard the confidence in his tone. Seen the empathy he was exuding for her. This man has changed so much in his time with her.

It sky rocketed when they got together. Tim couldn’t have been more supportive if he tried in this scene. Hell this entire episode. But she is so very stuck in her head. A place Tim could normally shake her loose from. A specialty of his really. He can’t gain an inch of ground in this scenario. Lucy has dug her heels in so to speak that she’s gonna fail. Nothing he says is getting through.

Our girl is experiencing massive amounts of anxiety and self doubt. The panic attack is real. The fact that the one person she would’ve sold her soul for, in order to get his support back in the day, isn’t getting through is a problem. Lucy goes on to say she knows herself. That if she takes this test right now she will fail. Her confidence will die along with it. That it’s better to wait. Tim steps from one minefield to the next with this convo.

When he once again is just trying to be supportive and says ‘Then wait.’ Not only is he being in her corner he gives her something she can do in meantime. Something he hates the idea of. Her going UC while she waits this anxiety/doubt out. If that isn’t him supporting her idk what is. He is also still learning how to be there for her emotionally and she isn't giving him the grace for that. Sadly Lucy isn't in the right mind to see that though. She is just stuck in the mode she's been trapped in all ep.

I get it I really do and empathize with her. I’m the same way when my emotions are in a heightened state. Nothing gets through. I'm frozen in place emotionalIy. I get very doom and gloom as well. Lash out at anyone who isn’t going to be positive and reassuring. Which Tim is doing his best to be. But Lucy is in such a dark state of mind she doesn’t see it. All she sees right now is he doesn’t believe in her and is kicking her while she is down. She needs reassurances right now. To her he isn't delivering that the way she is wanting at this point. Him agreeing with her that she should wait is only making matters worse.

Anxiety is a cruel cruel master. It makes you believe things that aren’t true. Amplifies them to the point that you’re so wound up you’re lashing out at everyone. Even your person. Which is exactly what’s happening with Lucy in this moment. Her accusing him of making it worse with how bad she already feels. When Tim is professing words of encouragement all she hears is him saying she can’t do it.

Tim is desperate for her to know he’s in her corner after this display. Asking her if she heard him? Lucy is distracted by someone showing up to the crime scene. Tim asks her what? Lucy replying that woman was looking at the crime scene while crying. Tim is so sassy in his reply I’m proud of him. ‘Or maybe she just had a frustrating fight with her girlfriend’ heh love this. Calling her his GF always gives me the feels.

Lucy gets a last minute win with this case. Catching this lady trying to get her bracelet back after tossing the gun. Her cop gut serving her well. Sadly Lucy doesn’t see this win as such and it bleeds into this final scene unfortunately. Once again the music is absolute perfection. I’ll post some of my fav lyrics at the end of my analysis of this fight. But first let us witness the incredible chemistry that is Eric and Melissa in this final portion. You know your ship is amazing when even their angst is lightning in a bottle goodness.

This fight I will say when I watched it originally excited me. Because it just showed they’re human. Real. The both of them. They make mistakes and aren’t perfect. How healthy this was for them to get off their chest. Because honestly the UC/detective tension has been building for a long while. This was the boiling point for it IMO. This scene hurt so good to watch. I rewound it a few times before I could process it the first time.

Tim starts off with congratulating her on her 4th quarter win. He’s genuinely so proud of her for bouncing back. Felt like she NEEDED this win. So he makes sure she knows. But like I said earlier Lucy isn’t viewing it that way. Her perception is more than a little skewed atm. Her building anger at Tim has reached it's peak. She is cold to him and brisk as hell. Tim immediately picking up on her clipped ‘Thanks.’ Like she was going to be able to hide her anger and frustration from him. Girl no. Tim asks her what? Lucy shrugging him off once again.

Tim pulls on her arm gently and parrots her own damn words back at her from 5x21. That they’re not gonna work if she’s going to lie to him. Lucy conceding immediately to that. I mean they have a lot to work on communication wise, but they’ve also come really far in this aspect too. Don’t wanna disregard that. Look at Tim confronting this right away and communicating effectively. There are causes for excitement with that growth. That being said they have a ways to go. This fight is proof of that.

Lucy pulls zero punches when she asks if he undermined her today so she wouldn’t make detective? The absolute look of hurt painted across his beautiful face kills me. As you all know I relate with Tim so very much. He is so deeply loyal and loving. That any of his motives are to help those he loves around him. He truly thought he was helping her out today. Being supportive and helpful. So for her to come at him like this is leaving him stunned and extremely hurt.

His person the one person who knows him better than anyone, accusing him of something he would never even fathom doing. I was hurt for him watching this. Last thing he would ever do would be to hinder her intentionally. Loyalty to a fault is having someone else hurt you first before you’d ever do the same. That’s Tim. It’s why he is so defensive the rest of this scene. And rightfully so. I'm proud of him telling her it upset him she would even think that of him. Because IMO he did not undermine her. That man did what was asked of him.

All of Lucy’s pent up anxiety, anger, and frustration comes out full force at Tim in this scene. And my boy didn't deserve it. I was on his side the first time I watched it and I am now. I didn’t see that changing though lol. Do I understand what Lucy is going through? Yes. Good god yes. I've been her. I feel so much for what she's going though. I want to make that very clear. But Tim didn't deserve this barrage against him. Wanna also note i’m so proud of the writers for tackling mental health from the jump with this season. Both our babies got issues and this was the precursor to the season really. We just had no idea at the time....

Lucy assumed all day he was undermining her. Instead of just confronting that fact she sat in it. Stewed in it really. ALL. DAMN. DAY. Which isn’t like her. She is the type to face it right away and voice that to Tim. But didn’t this time. Giving us a little taste of their communication problems early on this season. There’s that saying. 'When you assume you make an ass out of you and me.’ And by the end of this convo Lucy is feeling like an ass. I guarantee you that .

Lucy continues to dig herself a hole when she bring up that maybe it was "unconscious". Not deliberate but also that he couldn’t help it. Which doesn’t make Tim feel any better. Nor would it make me feel any better either tbh….Basically saying he has no control over things he does. Which just insult to injury at this point for him. Then Lucy goes for her next punch below. One I still feel was unfairly delivered.

Does Tim still carry those issues? Of course he does. 100% that is still a weight on him. It’s reflected in the next ep when the subject of UC comes up. But does it belong in this fight with him? No. It has zero place in it. But like I said before she is feeling a loss of control and confidence in herself. So she is projecting her insecurities and feelings onto Tim. By bringing up his and using them to stabilize hers. It's a low blow she is dispatching to him.

She is running from her own feelings about this. She is also protecting herself by making it about Tim and his problems. (Which he has for sure) Because she isn’t ready to face the fact that she’s afraid of UC and all that will come with it. How being a detective on top of it is going to pull her from him even more.

She voiced these concerns in 5x19 when she was originally studying for her exam. It’s easier for her right now to hide in and blame Tim for his problems, than deal with her own right now. Tim’s reaction is so valid in this moment. Because to him all he did was have her back from the jump. He is feels sucker punched by this explosion and it's written all over his reaction.

Lucy asked him to help her. He did. Even told her it wouldn’t be easy and he wouldn’t be soft on her. She accepted the terms of this situation willingly. Tim supported her best he could through her meltdown. Did his damndest to not comment on it. He knows it’s her process to spiral a bit then right herself. Because he knows her so well. He had her back in trying to help figure out her wildcard. She rejected it and drowned.

Tim was calm and kind even if she didn’t recognize it about the exam. When she was doubting herself he built her up letting her know she can do it. Did his best to be in her corner if she truly felt she wasn’t ready. Then congratulated her when she got her case win. To Tim all that was him having her back.

It’s why he’s so blindsided and hurt by her words. Lucy is basically kicking him while he down in this moment and it hurt to watch. Because her anxiety and immense stress has blinded her. Making her act so very not like herself. She came at him with a one-two punch. First punch accusing him of undermining her and second being an unfair Isabel punch.

The K.O. punch really is him reading her face above. The way she looks at him when he says ‘But if you can’t see that then…’ Doesn’t even finish his sentence. He can read her just as well as she can read him. Lucy cannot see that right now. Too clouded by her extreme anxiety and stress to see him and his intentions clearly. So he ejects out of the convo. She has knocked him down for the count.

Tim can’t take the way she is looking at him right now. The way she is making him feel. Tim has always held how she viewed him in high regard. Nothing means more to him than what she thinks of him. So for her to level him with this is heartbreaking for him. So he reverts back to old Tim and clams up. Tells her he’s tired and for them to take the night off. Then walks away from her with no way for her to retort.

Lucy is a block of ice until this line of his. She was fully expecting him to apologize and go home with her. And he did not. He ejected out of the conversation to go lick his wounds. The look of shock on her face is everything. She wasn’t expecting that at all. You can see the panic on her face. That raw panic of her being left behind by him. Of Tim leaving her. The tears building in her eyes as he does this. Oh the painful foreshadowing that is this moment…..

The lyrics for this scene are so poignant and perfect. As is the entire musical lineup for this season. Perfectly encompasses Lucy in this episode and especially this scene. Here are some of my favs.

‘I think I’m losing my mind. I see you’re losing your light. Drowning out the decibels. Do you wanna find the antidote? Trying to watch my obstacles, see how fully I’ve been broke.’ Lucy is so broken in this episode and doesn’t reach out to the one person, her person to help fix her. She was drowning and went to him for the antidote and then refused it the entire time. Then gets consumed by it all.

Just a glaring look into how they both deal with being emotionally overwhelmed and vulnerable. And it’s not a good look for either of them this season tbh. But we start out with Lucy’s where I side with Tim before we go head long into Tim’s and I side with Lucy it's balanced at least lol. Damn good premiere though. I was buzzing with excitement after it.

The campfire crackled softly, sending flickers of light into the darkening desert. The day had been rough—another group of Stand users had ambushed you, Johnny, and Gyro on the trail, and you’d barely escaped. The three of you had been covered head to toe in mud and grime by the end of it, your clothes stuck to your skin in a heavy, disgusting mess. It was no surprise when Gyro suggested you all strip down to your undergarments and wash your clothes, airing them out by the fire.

You sat cross-legged on the ground, wiping a stray smudge of dirt off your arm as the heat of the fire dried your damp skin. It was a little awkward, sitting around with barely any clothes on, but the exhaustion from the fight and the shared need for warmth eased the tension.

Johnny, usually a little quieter when Gyro was around, had been watching you for a while, ever since you’d stripped down to nothing but your underwear. He wasn’t looking at you in the way most men would; no, his blue eyes were fixated on something else—the faint red bumps that dotted your arms, legs, and shoulders.

You hadn’t really thought about it. Your skin had always been this way, with tiny red dots peppering your limbs like freckles that never quite faded. It was just something that was part of you, something you didn’t even notice anymore. But when Johnny’s gaze lingered, you became acutely aware of it, like his eyes had brought it into sharp focus. He wasn’t disgusted, though. No, he seemed… fascinated.

Gyro, sitting a little ways off, was busy cleaning his steel balls, but he didn’t miss the way Johnny kept sneaking glances at you. A smirk curled across his lips as he leaned back, crossing his arms over his chest. “Nyohoho~! Seems like Johnny’s got his eyes on somethin’.”

Johnny’s face flushed as he quickly looked away, trying to hide the fact he’d been staring. “Shut up, Gyro,” he muttered, a hint of his Kentucky drawl slipping through, betraying his embarrassment.

You glanced between them, confused at first, but then noticed Johnny’s gaze returning to your skin. "What?" you asked, your voice casual, trying to brush it off. “Something wrong?”

You, still oblivious to the depth of Johnny’s interest, laughed at Gyro’s teasing. “Well, I guess if I’m ever in need of a new nickname, ‘Strawberry’ could work.”

Johnny, struggling to keep his cool, smiled softly. “Yeah, it… it could.” He shifted a bit closer, just enough that his arm barely brushed yours, the subtle contact sending a jolt through him.

His fingers twitched, as if he wanted to reach out and touch, to feel the texture of your skin. “It’s… interestin’,” he murmured. He glanced away, but his blush deepened, his blue eyes flicking back to your arms and legs. “Looks kinda like… like bug bites.”

That caught you off guard. Bug bites? You looked at him, studying his expression, trying to understand what he meant. His face was flushed, his breathing a little heavier than normal, and it hit you: Johnny was into it.

Gyro, sitting nearby, snickered under his breath, clearly enjoying the whole situation. “Johnny’s got himself a little secret,” he teased, leaning forward with a grin. “Seems like he’s got a thing for-”

“Gyro, for the love of God, shut up,” Johnny hissed, though his voice lacked any real bite. He glanced at you nervously, almost like he was worried about what you might think. His hands clenched into fists on his lap, his knuckles turning white from the pressure.

But you weren’t fazed. In fact, you kind of found it amusing—endearing, even. You hadn’t noticed how much Johnny had been drawn to your skin until now, but it made sense in hindsight. The way his eyes had lingered just a little too long, how he always seemed a little flustered when you were around… It was oddly cute.

“You got a thing for bug bites, huh?” you teased, raising an eyebrow at him. Your voice was playful, not judging, and Johnny’s face burned a deeper shade of red.

“…Maybe,” he muttered, barely audible, but you caught it.

You laughed softly, the tension melting away. “Well, you’re in luck then,” you said, leaning back on your arms and letting your legs stretch out in front of you, showing the full extent of the red bumps on your skin. “Guess I’m your ideal type, huh?”

Johnny’s breath hitched slightly, his eyes glued to your legs as a faint shiver ran through him. He looked like he was about to combust on the spot, his lips parting as if he wanted to say something but couldn’t quite form the words.

Gyro, meanwhile, was having the time of his life, leaning back and watching the whole thing unfold with a smug grin. “Nyohoho~! Looks like you two might be gettin’ a little closer tonight.”

Johnny shot him a death glare. “I’m gonna kill you.”

But you just smiled, feeling more comfortable now that you knew the reason behind Johnny’s stolen glances. “Don’t worry, Johnny. It’s no big deal.” You gave him a wink, your playful tone putting him a little more at ease. “I think it’s kinda sweet, actually.”

Johnny swallowed again, his blush still evident, but there was something softer in his eyes now—something warm. He glanced at you one last time before muttering, “Thanks… I’m glad you don’t mind.”

As the night wore on and the fire crackled softly, Johnny’s thoughts remained on you, on the beautiful imperfection of your "strawberry skin."

It was all he could think about, and the more he tried to push it away, the more it consumed him, leaving him flustered, aroused, and utterly captivated by you in ways he didn't expect.

The Walking Dead

Okay, so I have (yet another) new obsession and I can't deal with it. Guys, I am so scared of zombies and scary stuff, but I love this show. And you want to know why I started watching it? I saw an edit of a fanfic. Is it over 200,000 words? Yes. Have I read all of it? Yes. I quite literally refresh my Ao3 page to check for updates every day (said fanfic is Future Ghosts by dieasthedevil on Ao3).

(Now, I promise I will finish Days Into Decades, I just also need to rnat about this new fic idea)

So, I usually don't do OC fics anymore, because I feel like they aren't as popular on Ao3 as they are on Wattpad and I prefer Ao3 (and feel like more people 14+ use Ao3 instead of Wattpad). And I legit skip half the zombie scenes because I only care about the plot (I'm being 100% rn). I also started at season 9, because I wanted to see Daryl and Negan on the same(ish) side and see the kids grown up (ish). (I promise I'm gonna watch it from 1-11 next, but I was too hyped to watch what I've already read in fanfic lol).

Anyways, despite my best efforts not to, I've started writing a new fic for TWD with an original character. And, I personally think it's not half bad. Idk where I'm going with it, but I do know it'd be set in season 9ish (also, nothing romantic between the oc and any of the characters, but maybe something between the oc and another oc, though I'd honestly prob kill him off eventually). So, for anyone still with me, here's some of what I've written so far.

“Are you tanning during the apocalypse?” A curious voice called out, startling her from her daydream. Jerking herself up, she had one hand on her knife and she turned to face the intruder.

He was kind of cute. If it wasn’t for the sweaty, blood-stained clothes and the eyebags. He could probably do with a shower too, judging by the state of his hair. She smiled over at him anyways, relaxing her grip on the blade.

“Might as well have some fun, right?” she asked, propping herself up on her elbows. “Can’t all be doom and gloom.”

“It’s— it’s dangerous to be out here.” He insisted, taking a step closer.

“Do you see any freaks?” She glanced around, nothing and nobody in sight.

“Not yet. But— but, it’s still dangerous. You shouldn’t let your guard down.”

“Who says I have?”

The man (barely, he was probably only a little older than her) looked lost, opening and closing his mouth like he couldn’t quite figure out what to say.

“I should’ve locked you out.” She snapped. “Or, I should’ve let you in and then set the place on fire. I never should’ve trusted you, never should've helped you.”

“When have you ever trusted anyone, Skipper?” Carol asked, voice soft despite the accusation.

Her eyes darted to Daryl, thinking about quiet mornings spent hunting and the shared thread of orphaned siblings. She shook her head anyways, pushing back good memories of the cabin and the short time when she was actually happy in the end of the world. Who was she to think about any of these people as hers?

“I’m leaving at dawn.” She said in lieu of an answer, looking away from the both of them. “Will you keep an eye on P.J. for me?”

“You don’t need to leave— “

“I should, though.”

Hey, it's me again. I know you don't really answer asks anymore, but I just wanted to say I REALLY LOVED the post you did about "I, Robot... You, Jane" today, the introduction of Jenny Calendar was easily the best thing about that entire episode (Giles/Jenny were one of the best and most heartbreaking ships on the entire show, I don't think I'll ever get over just how brutal "Passion" was)!

I really love "I, Robot...You, Jane," so I'm glad I'm not alone.

I know that Passion of the Nerd, for instance--in his Buffy guide--seemed to indicate that if Jenny wasn't introduced in this episode, he probably would have just suggested that people skip it.

And while part of me understands that, and why people might not like this episode... I don't know: I just feel like Willow's first "relationship" in the show is an important thing, among other things. And I find Moloch as an episode Big Bad pretty interesting.

I also like that Willow was willing to have a relationship with someone she met online, even if the story went into a "you can't trust people you meet online" direction. That is definitely dated in some regards, but also sound advice in others. You do have to be careful about that kind of thing.

This episode also being the thing that made Google a verb is iconic.

As is the last scene with Buffy, Willow, and Xander realizing that none of them will ever have normal, healthy relationships, as they try to comfort Willow. LOL

Buffy being too cute while detecting is also great.

-shrugs- I just feel like every time I watch this episode, I find more to like about it. And it's definitely not one of the worst season 1 episodes to me at all.

And Jenny, and Giles/Jenny are just too great. Giles was actually my favorite character when I was first watching the show, and Giles/Jenny was also the first ship I fell in love with, for sure. They're just too cute and perfect. And, yes, Passion will always hurt, damnit.

Only Friends Live Blogging

I usually just binge one show at a time but I currently have 23.5 ongoing (while it's on-air) and am on episode 4 of I Will Knock You. So I'm not quite sure why I'm starting Only Friends right now but I guess I wanted something messier than those 2, since they're pretty lighthearted shows.

I'm... somewhat nervous to get into this because there seem to be so many different opinions on the show. I wasn't really in the BL sphere while the show was airing since I took a bit of a break from watching shows in the second half of last year but I did get the general vibe that there was discourse and disagreements.

Started 1.25x already tbh but not to the fault of the show, it's just what I like. Actually, pretty good first ep, it set up the characters and relationships well and gave us a taste of what's to come. Also, I've been seeing people mention that maybe Mew has a more sinister/manipulative underbelly and I'd be into that, some people brought up "you're the company you keep" and if he's in the company of Boston and Ray and such, then he's probably not a saint.

I know there's some cheating involved (Top cheats on Mew?), and Ray has an addiction problem I think?, and also from the talks, it seems like the expected pairs neatly end up together rather than any curveballs being thrown at us.

Also, Nick is gonna be pitiful later on when he falls for Boston but like he's also wild in this ep, not only jerking off to Boston's pics but leaving some of his own, that's sexual harassment but works out in this case.

I ended up skipping through all the nsfw scenes this ep cuz idk I feel awkward watching it right now but that's a shame tbh cuz that aspect is also supposed to be a draw for the show

I didn't comment on it but there are lots of moments where we can see the wealth disparity between Sand and Ray (the second-hand shop stood out to me first but also the debt collectors moment where Sand was so worried but it just seemed like a bit of fun to Ray).

Some people are shitty, doesn't mean I want their rights to be violated.

And Ray being a drunk driver... fucking hell. It kinda feels like the writing is not treating Ray's actions as bad enough. like we're supposed to feel bad that his father yelled at him and he hurt himself but he's the one who drove drunk! Ep 12: Begin Again (May 12)

The final episode but... idk if it really feels like that. Doesn't feel like we should have only 1 ep left to wrap up the rest of the story, idk. Maybe I'll do a little thoughts section of what my reaction is so far to each character and the ships.

Top: Who is this guy? Very different from the beginning of the series and that's fine, people grow and change but I don't know who this man is now. Was glad he was checking Mew last episode though like either move forward or don't but enough of the revenge bs

Mew: Annoying, idk. Either move forward or don't. idc.

TopMew: Why are they trying to move in together already omg let it be a few months and also I'm so over them. I occasionally think I could be into them but nothing about it feels real to me unfortunately, doesn't feel like something lasting.

Sand: 0 boundaries, 0 self-respect. Takes Ray back with open arms every time and now Boeing comes in and we see he can't stand up to him either.

Ray: I don't quite trust him to not be a jerk and asshole and needlessly hurtful at the drop of a hat. He's going to rehab but the journey is too easy so far, it's not supposed to be easy.

SandRay: sure, idk. Their scenes have chemistry and are cute because KhaoFirst play them that way but in the narrative, I don't think they're like a cutesy, beautiful, grand romance. Which is fine to me btw but sometimes it feels like people interpret it that way and it probably has to do with KhaoFirst lol

Nick: Interesting that he's not super receptive to Boston wanting to be boyfriends, that's fun actually. Also fun that he teamed up with Boston to ambush Atom.

Boston: I just don't think his promiscuity itself is a flaw and so I don't think he needs to be monogamous to show Growth and Improvement or whatever. however, he has been talking about how he doesn't find sleeping around as fulfilling anymore and stuff, so I don't think him wanting to be boyfriends with Nick is out of the blue or anything. Also, it sucks that he's cast out of the friend group is just a cruel way over lies and nobody apologizes to him this episode either. I kinda... don't want him to make up with them, like these people have their own problems but act as if Boston is beneath them all, so I hope Boston hangs out with Nick and maybe a few new casual friends before going to NY and finding new people.

BostonNick: I want them to be dating or boyfriends but I want Boston to go away to New York and for them to have the good memories and leave their own lives because you don't need to be Big Commitment for Life with your first boyfriend at 21/22.

Cheum: She's so flawed but she's also treated like a minor/side character, so it's never like seen as that? Or idk. but the way she was fine and dandy with Atom admitting to the horrible lies is just... no.

Also, very long episode comparatively, it's like 70 minutes instead of the usual 45-55, which is par for the course of finales

Overall

I'm just glad that I binged this by watching 2-3 eps a day for a week instead of watching for 3 months to arrive to that ending. Great first half of the show IMO (~6 eps), then there's a weird narrative shift there somewhere, then the last 1/4 of the show was dragging and then the last episode was boring and upsetting. SandRay and TopMew feel weirdly happy, artificially happy while Boston is the only character who is left to rot by his friends and Nick. I didn't need a happy ending for Boston/Nick but Boston's storyline felt... cruel and since the only character who wasn't monogamous got a bad ending and had all his faults amplified (while the others just had their faults or mistakes forgiven or never even apologized for them), it felt pointed at Boston's promiscuity.

Episode 1: Mute Bunny

A small child, around 2, left in the alleyway, their mother leaving her, laughing her heart out in the

back of a limbo. A homeless man stumbles upon the child, sheltering her. 2 years later, the police

find them, taking the child to a foster home. She stays there for 4 more years, watching all the kids

leave. She still hasn't learned how to talk, and finally, finally, a couple appears at the door, holding

out their hands for her. A blur of paperwork later, the kid is taken home, and put in a room. The next

day she goes to school, still not knowing how to speak. The kids laugh and the teacher calls her to the front of the class. The teacher proceeds to slap her, berating her for not speaking. She returns

home, is fed and cleaned, and then the same thing happens, she goes to school and still doesn't

make a peep. 2 more weeks pass, and the teacher speaks with the couple. When they get home that

day, the woman sits down, trying to teach the kid. The next day, she falls ill, and gets progressively

worse. There is no cure, and months later, she dies. When she got sick, she stopped teaching the

kid, so the kid still doesn't know how to speak. When the man's wife passes, he becomes angered,

especially at the kid, and begins abusing her, yelling at her to speak. This continues until the girl is

12. At the end, she walks down the street, smoking, and finds a road, stepping in front of cars,

causing an accident, and killing herself. (Ivy)

Episode 2: Halo of Blood

She's happy, and has been, or so everyone sees. A 14 year old, who is coming home to his small

chaotic family, all smiles and cuteness. But she keeps her mask on. Disappearing to her room, she

sits, drawing, the flashbacks hitting her instantly, stuff she's never told anybody she remembers. Her

birth father, pinning her half sister against the wall. 12 years ago. He begins to undress her. She flails

around, he slices her back with a hidden knife. Raping her, the blood splashing onto the girls face.

Her mother comes in, shouting, pulling him off, but hes bigger, he hurts her too. The scene flashes

away, almost like it's drowning, and the next one, Another one, hitting her mom, making her scream,

her brother asleep next to her. This one drowns too, and she sits up, gasping for breath, shaking her

head, trying to clear it all away. It's only gotten worse, with the bullies, with her parents not liking her

grades. They saw her cutting, and were angry. She finds her hidden knife, tucked in blankets, her

grip tightens, and she jumps out her bedroom window, leaving it open. The knife leaves a trail of pink

water, and she walks to the nearest jail, asking for her birth father. She sits, speaking with him. The

moment there is no one there, she lunges at the glass, breaking it, stabbing the man to death, his

blood splattering everywhere. Gasps ring out, she stands up, the blood creating rings around her.

She meets every one of their eyes, shaking, and she takes the knife down on her own heart.

Episode 3: Stars on Snow

He was happy, his life perfect. Or so he thought. When he made it to middle school, he made new

friends. People he wanted to help, to make happy. They were all hurt and broken. Everyday, he

stayed up, talking to them, trying to help. The stress began to wear on him, he kept trying, but he

started snapping, yelling sometimes, hurting them more. His best friend left, she couldn't handle his

shouting. Hurt, he left her alone, trying not to miss her, but he did. He kept trying so hard to help his

friends, but he couldn't. He tried so hard. Until he snapped, the day he watched his old best friend,

carried away in an ambulance, after trying to kill herself in the school bathroom. He ran out onto the

field, scratching his arms, until he bled onto the snow, each drop containing all the pain of his friends.

He fell to his knees, riddled with pain and sorrow, feeling like he wasn't enough, watching the blood

stars turn into rivers, then lakes, until he stumbled back, falling, the blood moving faster than him.

The black hit him and he bled out that day, his vision speckled with those same red stars. (Jaden) Episode 4: Bandage the Heart

When she was a girl, she had fallen, scraping her knee. Her mom placed band-aids on her knee,

promising her the band-aids fixed all the injuries in the world. The girl had smiled, and nodded,

believing her mother. Years later, her mother was gone, taken from them, ripped away. And now she

stood there, her heart snapped in pieces by all of them, her arms, legs, and chest covered in

band-aids. The blistering waterfalls of the shower fell on her back, making blisters appear. She’d put

band-aids there, but it wouldn't help. Her mother had lied, the band-aids couldn't fix her heart, or her

mind, or any of her injuries. She stepped out, smelling the smoke and alcohol from the living room,

where her dad sat, rotting away, since her mother was taken. She dressed, covering herself in more

band-aids, before coming to the kitchen, eating an apple. She glanced around, then stood up quickly,

walking to a cabinet, pulling out pills. She filled up a glass and swallowed all 20 of those pills. She

passed out and never woke up again. (Lily)

Episode 5: Ruby Eyes

He didn't really remember the times before the divorce. It had happened when he was little, and now

he strays between his father’s and his mother's house. Today he sat on the couch in his mother's

home, writing out a story of the people he wished he was. His mother called out to him to get off his

laptop and feed the dogs. So he began the long process of feeding the dogs. Heating the can,

measuring. His mother watches from the sidelines. He finishes, setting down the food. He returns to

the couch, typing away again. His mother stomps in, throwing his tablet at him. He dodges,which

earns him smacks in the face. He flinches at each hit, as his mother scolds him. Shes in tears, and

she just freezes. Then she tells him to get in the car. He goes in the car, sitting in the back. His

mother begins driving, they drive for hours, until they’re in the mountains. And shes driving like a

crazy person, TRYING to kill them. Attempt after attempt. Until shes pulled over. He sinks in his seat,

sobbing. His own mother is trying to kill him and herself. Later they return home, he retreats to his

cold room. He couldn't help her, or his best friend. And it was causing him all this pain. Might as well

cut the string and end it all. And thats wht\at he does. Finding the gun in the cabinet,loading it.

Shooting it, his shot uneven, but enough to pierce his brain, the blood dripping into his eyes. (Hunter)

Episode 6: Alone in the Void

He could hear his breath, echoing on the empty cold walls. He sat, shivering. He’d been like this for

months now, just in his cold bare room. He had torn down his poster, he had taken everything and

shoved it in his closet, months ago. He liked it better. Cold and empty. Just like he felt. It has been 12

days since he last went to school. He refused to leave the room, he hated school, and he hated

being with his family. They always made him feel so horrible. Pointing out every fault, laughing at

him. So he stayed here, alone, with his stuffed cat, his fish, and his white scissors, that are no longer

white. They have been deep red for a while now. He loved the way there were now splashes of

white, otherwise red with tinges of a pink around the white, where the blood had seeped in. Yawning,

he closed his eyes, listening again. He could hear the noise of his mother cooking dinner. He sighed,

thinking about the last time he was at school. He had been slammed into the locker so hard his ear had bled.Those mean words rolled around in his head. He couldn't be hurt by these, he was a

teenager now. He wasn’t a kid anymore. But those words…they were said by his biggest crush. And

it hurt, like knives piercing him. Nobody wanted him here anyways. He walks to the window, looking

at the pavement, 3 stories down. He looked at the bustling streets with a sigh. All those happy

people. He breathed in, listening to his heartbeat, which echoed around the room.He sighs, rubbing

his throat, thanking his last thoughts, before using the scissors like tweezers to rip his throat out. And

for once, that cold room had a bit of warmth to it. (Chris)

Episode 7: Hope is Gone

That child had meant everything to her. EVERYTHING. And it was all gone. She lied there, in pain,

blood soaking her. And the child was dead. A waste. All of it. It was over. The doctors rushed about,

and all she was. Was numb. She hadn’t even seen her child. They had whisked him away frantically,

and came back what felt like hours later, telling her the baby was dead. Her heart had shattered, and

now. She was alone. Nobody to hold onto. Nobody was here to share the pain she felt now. All she

could do was cry. She knew they were calling her name, but she couldn't hear them. Alone. Silence.

Her cheeks stung with the amount of tears she had cried. That baby was what kept her going for the

past 7 months. She couldn't bring herself to kill herself because of that baby. And now the child was

gone. Alone. Her vision blacked out. She woke up fine, and like a robot, got into her car and drove to

her tiny apartment. She moved up the stairs, into her apartment and sat, staring out the window.

That happy child eating his ice cream, running happily to the park, his mother hurrying after him. She

grimaced. That was hers. That was supposed to be hers! She bit her lip. She had never felt

such…such…hatred. She couldn't bear the pain, so she shut the curtains, locking herself away from

the world. She moved blankly to the kitchen, making herself food. She wasn’t being careful, or even

paying attention. She burned and cut herself, not even flinching or shedding a tear. She didn’t even

notice. Halfway through, she turned off the stove, going back to the window. Her lips twitched as she

watched those happy kids. From below, all they heard was the shattering. And then the body hit the

ground. (Sam)

Episode 8: Binding Sound

The stage lights blinded her as usual, her heart pounded. She hated every second of this now. Why

had she liked this before? The fans screamed along with the lyrics. The truth was, she had wanted

this. But not really. She hated the stares, the attention. She hated all the people, all the money, the

way everyone thought of her. They only thought of her as a robot, and she was stuck between the

fans and her family stealing the money away. She was out of breath now,and she could finally leave

until tomorrow, where it would all start again. She was escorted away, surrounded by the guards.

Cursed with never being alone. She lets out a heavy breath, entering the fancy car, gagging at the

new car stench. People said it smelled wonderful. She hated it. Bad memories. The driver brought

her to the hotel. They both sat in serine silence. She meets up with just one security guard at the

entrance. He would watch over her for the night. She nods at him, retreating to her room. She went

in, immediately tearing off her dress and wiping away the makeup. She was out of her mind at this

point. Glancing around, searching the drawers for anything. Something discreet, so the guard couldn't prevent it. She grabs her headache medicine. And any other drug she could fine. She

hurries to the kitchenette, swallowing all of it. And she lies down on the plush bed. And she never

wakes up again. (Zoe)

Episode 9: Demon Chandelier

Those eyes. They scared her. She didn’t know why. They sent shivers down her spine, reminding her

of the demons that were there. MAybe it was the shape. MAybe it was…who knows. She shakes her

head, moving away from the boy. Back to the task at hand. Taking a sharp breath, she goes back to

her computer, working on the playlist. She was uploading all the files she had built yesterday. Those

songs were from her heart and she hoped would please her friend. Was she really her friend or

just…No. Back to the task. She works on the playlist, dreading going home. But its time comes and

she begins the walk, balancing on the edges, giggling to herself, with her music up high. Nobody

cared what she did here. She was free. A rare smile crossed her face. She giggles to herself, falling

over. She jumps up, running home, praying its a good day. The moment she steps through the door,

she freezes. Its not. She can feel it in the air. She runs into her room. The air feels…dead. Its new,

but familiar. The air of the hospital. She begins to cry, already knowing what this means. Her mom

peeks in, shaking her head, before leaving. He didn’t make it. He lost. THEY lost. She sobs, biting

her wrist. Her dads dead. They said it’d happen, but they prayed, like every family. Only a 50%

survival rate of this cancer. And she was unlucky enough to have her dad in the unsuccessful. She

stays there long into the night, her mother long asleep. She walks to the door leading to the

backyard, but pauses in the garage. She glances around. She creeps over to the cables, breathing

heavy. She wants to see him again. And these cables are what will get her there. In a flash the

deeds are done, and she has become the chandelier. (Madison)

Episode 10: Stumbling Tears

They couldn’t see anymore. Their vision was too blurry, too many tears. Back then, it was only a

scrape. But now. That's when they had ruined it all. When they had been snatched away and flown

to Florida. When they had been given to the Mistress. And today, it wasn’t any different. Tears welled

in their eyes, blurring their vision, They were bruised and bleeding, but they lay there, curling up,

knowing it’d make the punishment worse. Resistance was not allowed here. They’d bleed until they

couldn’t walk, and then clean all the blood up with a single rag. If they missed a drop they’d be hit

more. It was not strange anymore, just expected. No mistakes allowed. They cleaned the blood after

the Mistress had left, then stumbled into their room, staring into the mirror, their bloody clothes, the

streaks the tears left on their face. The mirror was long cracked, a shard missing, level with their

head. It was sharp, and everybody who stayed here had cut themselves with it. The inside was

stained with all the blood, they weren’t forced to clean that blood. But…nobody had died yet. Maybe

they wanted that. To be dead. Did they? It was misery, but didn't they want to live, to dream of

freedom. Freedom is nothing if you can’t hold it in your hands. They ran their knuckles along the

edges, making themself bleed more. IT was worth it. The pain caused silence, bliss, a…sense of

happiness. A freedom anybody held. And it was going to be theirs now. They slammed their head

into the small gap, shattering the mirror, stabbing their forehead with the edges, blood splashing onto the walls and sheets. Once, Twice. It kept going, until they were too weak to continue. And instead,

they fell backwards, Their heart froze, not pounding with fear anymore. (Jess)

Episode 11: Electric Heart

The plastic sheets of the hospital is what woke him up. Alone. The beeping, the machines that now

held him alive, ringing in his ears. His heart still wrestled for its death. The stitches and bandages

were covering him. It made him stiff, the drugs pumping through his veins. Why wouldn’t he die? Just

blankness in his head. Not unusual for him, but now it was unsettling. He had gone too far this time

apparently. Hurt himself so badly. He was alone, no family or friends there for him. They didn’t really

still screaming, and she couldn’t stop it. She fell asleep like that, that person's face floating around

their dreams the entire time. Her thoughts haunted her, until she had to arise, and grab another gun,

and dress, ready for her second day. Her father said nothing, merely left and she followed. He

pointed out the target, and she shot. The blood sprayed and she hid. A crowd murder was risky. Her

father took the gun, hiding it. She stood there, shaking again, and her father grabbed her, taking her

away, to their ‘home’. Like before she went to her room, but this time she stared out the window, and

the police lights just a few blocks away. She looked down at the street. She deserved this pain, she

knew it. She broke the window, stepping up, the glass pieces piercing her feet, she lost her balance

before she could say bye, and she fell. (Hailee)

Episode 15: Alcoholic Merit

The moment he heard the glass break in the other room, he stopped eating the cold dinner,

and scooped up the youngest, gesturing his sister to follow, as he lead them behind the couch,

passed out on the couch, he walked over, tilting his head, his dad opened his, smiling softly at him.

He released his breath, his dad wasn’t drunk. He hugged his father, crying softly, his dad running his

fingers through his hair. He stood up, leaving the house. He hated that man, but he still cared about

him, but his mom left him in a hurry, she must’ve been hella hurt. He finds his way to the library, her

favorite place. She wasn’t there. He looked around, his hand reaching for an electric cord, and he

tightened it around his throat until it cut into his skin and he couldn’t breathe.

Episode 16: Silent Heart

She peaked out of her room, her arms dripping in blood. Her brother was sitting in front of the tv,

watching cartoons, as she slipped into the kitchen to clean off her arm. Her mom looks up frowning.

She tells her to clean out the sink, leaving, handing her brother a snack. She glanced away, returning

to her empty room, sobbing. He always got everything and she was rarely fed. She pulls out her

report card, staring at the really bad grades, knowing she was stupid and knew that she needed

help. The other day her mom had yelled at her about them, and she had asked for help, but her mom

just yelled at her, she couldn’t do this anymore, her brother got everything and more and she got

nothing. She loved her brother and they were close when their mom was away. He gave her scraps

when he could. But it wasn’t enough, ever. Nobody loved her, and you could see her ribs, and her

-BUT ALSO i feel like kris is 100% in control when they create fountains. idk it just makes sense kris would create them. to create another world, a better world, A WORLD WHERE THEIR BROTHER IS HERE PERHAPS? i do wonder why they get their soul out then though. i'm all for it sweetie! do whatever! i support you!

-i threw away the ball of junk (which i already tried in ch1) and this time the game was like "ARE YOU SURE BC THIS IS A BAD IDEA" and kris felt bitter :'( (it deletes all your items in the dark world)

-i uh fucked up and skipped the susie+noelle scene bc listen last time ralsei mentionned seeing what susie is doing we missed some PRIMO LORE. turns out it just makes you skip the scene and you dont get anything new. welp

About VegasPete and KimChay

First of all, I haven't read the book and I'm not going to. I made a mistake and read Guardian, The Untamed, started My Ride, and I definitely think the series are way better (I didn't like the book Zhao, Wei Wuxian or Mork). The same unlikable characters from the books are great in the series. Still, the series based on books tend to have a better storyline.

But I know KP spoilers and damn, but knowing the plot and spoilers in advance kind of ruins/taints the series for us, viewers. Like, I’m not surprised anymore, the anticipation is about stuff we know will happen. I can see it also in how Vegas and Pete are treated by their fans. How Pete is coddled and treated as an innocent baby just because of what happened to him in the BOOK. In fact, like 99% (ok, I exaggerate lol) of all comments about Vegas and Pete are based on what hasn't happened yet - not only that, it may not even happen at all, or be shown from a different perspective! Look at how Kinn and Porsche has changed compared to the books!. And now it's enough if Vegas and Pete are both in the same scene and people see the whole romance in it, and every look between them is Meaningful. But honestly, if you didn't know they would become a couple someday, would anyone see anything here?

At the moment, based solely on the show, Pete isn't as “innocent” as he seems, and Vegas is a more complex character than just a psycho creep. After all, we do not even know his true intentions, to what extent he acts on behalf of his father, or maybe he has his own reasons, or he does something for shits and giggles, what exactly he feels about Porsche, whether it is pure manipulation or something more. At the moment I'm not buying VegasPete relationship, but this couple might be like ForthBeam who only developed towards the end of the show to finally dominate it :)

Regarding KimChay - people might hate me for this, but the only thing that creeps me in KP is this relationship. Dubcon - fine, lil torture suitcase - lol cute, secret red basements - fine. I respect all the choices KP creators make for the cast and plot, but I don't understand the choice of actor to play Chay. The actor is underage, which is terrible as it is but in addition he LOOKS like a child. Kim is an adult, I know Jeff doesn't look like Mile or a Bible but imagine pairing one of them with a childish looking boy like Barcode. Is it tolerated just because Jeff looks angelic? I love Jeff, I love his onscreen relationships with Gameplay, but they look the same age. I think that if Kim HAS to have a relationship with Chay (still, grown up with a boy from school, ugh), the actor should be grown up and look adultish (I would prefer, for example Pat from the TV series Something in my room, he also looks similar to Apo). I only watch KimChay once, just to know what's going on, but I skip their scenes when I rewatch the series. Their story is kind of not nteresting, doesn’t fit the mafia plot, it’s even shot differently, and after episode 7 it’s just too creepy for me.

I mean, Barcode cries on set, he is constantly being taken care of and protected by the older cast and I really, REALLY don’t get it. Just... why?? If it ends up as just a sweet high school idol crush, it’s fine. But if it’s more 😬

Anyway, I just wish I didn't know any KP spoilers, I wonder how differently I would perceive this series. And I'm curious about viewers' reaction to Vegas, if they didn't know anything about his future relationship with Pete.. I think that comments about him and Porsche would be very interesting then :) I think peple would talk more about Kinn/Porsche/Vegas love triangle and Pete would not be even considered as a love interest and be treated like Arm :D

you and lev rarely get into fights. only small complains about his behavior and him whining, or friendly petty arguments. but last night was different... I guess you could say.

lev was always pretty immature and playful yeah, but sometimes it felt like he never took anything seriously. it felt as though he never took him and your relationship seriously. especially now, when you decided to confront him about it.

“why are you laughing...?” you asked, staring at him

“i-i’m sorry, y/n honey, i just...!” he said, covering his mouth as a half assed attempt to keep in his laughter.

“lev, i know it’s just in your nature to act like this but I’m being genuine. i’m not joking, please. you’re doing it again! please just listen—!”

you were cut off again by the sounds of your significant other’s laughter, causing all your frustration to let loose.

“lev haiba!”

he immediately stopped, before looking at you in the eyes, his thin pupils meeting yours.

“i’m sorry. but lev, please can you just take me seriously for once?! i love you, but you need to understand that you can’t just—!” you frailed your hand around, motioning towards him, you, whatever this scene was. “—you can’t just do this all the time I—!”

before you could finish, your mind had been too pent up with frustration. “nevermind...” you grabbed your bag, before rushing out the door, not giving him the chance to talk.

fast forward next day, and you checked your phone.

you sigh heavily, before letting the cold feeling of guilt claw at the back of your head. you hadn’t mean to make lev worry, you just needed your time alone. although if you did have to be honest with yourself, leaving without a ‘i love you,’ or hell even just a ‘bye’ was cruel.

as you opened your messages, you were bombarded with messages of pleas and apologizes that were sent at 9:21 PM last night, moments after you left his house. the guilt swallowed your stomach again, your hands slowly typing; “it’s ok hun. really. I love you too.” and pressing send.

you threw your phone onto your bed, before deciding to get ready. you and lev never really saw each other much since you two were in different grades, he was a first year, you were a second. you both had to wait after school, or well... maybe moments after. your phone buzzed a few times, but you decided to ignore it. it was too early.

schools over, and you’re walking home. you were gonna talk to lev today, just not now. you didn’t wanna interrupt his volleyball training just for some stupid relationship issue. as soon as you reach home however, you see a familiar tall figure fidgeting on his phone.

“...lev?” you called out, causing the silver haired boy to whip his head around, his eyes lighting up. “Y/N!”

he quickly shoved his phone inside his pocket, before running up to you and embracing you in a warm hug, shaking you a little. “y/n! y/n! i’m sorry for being stupid last night, I’m sorry, i’m so sorry.” he was squeezing you tight, and god did it hurt hearing his voice break like that.

“lev, sweetie, i told you it’s okay, really.” you spoke, caressing his back. he seemed to stay still for a moment, before speaking once again. “is this okay? me holding you like this, is this okay or do you... need space?”

you smiled softly. it made you happy lev wanted to make sure he wasn’t overstepping any of your boundaries. you felt your other arm hold him. “yeah, this is okay.” you swore you could feel him smile out of relief.

“i’m... i’m sorry again y/n honey, it’s just hard for me, i don’t...” he paused. “it’s just...difficult for me to handle situations like that.” you nuzzled into his shoulder. “it’s okay, you dork. i understand.” you reassured him again.

“but—!” he pushed back, meeting your eyes. “i’m gonna try...i’m gonna try harder. i’m gonna try to be better, for you y/n! i love you so much... i’ll do my best.” god, this dork. no wonder you loved him so much. you cupped his cheeks. “i’ll do better too lev, i won’t be as mean again. i promise, i love you too, so much.”

and with that, both of your faces met, and the two of you kissed lightly.

you and kuroo get into small arguments here and there like every other couple, and whenever you do you two usually recover quickly. you both like to call them ‘squicks.’

however, that night there was no denying that wasn’t any other normal squick you two had. no, that was a fight.

kuroo and you haven’t had a moment alone that wasn’t just you and him walking back home, and it’s been making you upset. so uh, that night you decided to confront him about it.

yeah it didn’t go well uhh

“i know we’re like, a couple y/n. but honey you have to understand i’m busy. you have friends don’t you? go hang out with them or something.”

“yeah, i know kuroo, and trust me i’m happy for you! but you’ve been so distant, we haven’t had a moment alone that lasted more than 5 minutes for like, 2 months! it wasn’t a big deal then, but i miss you and i’m worried.”

you paused, before continuing. “don’t you wanna spend some time with me? just, for like 30 minutes? don’t you miss me?”

“i do, y/n. i miss you and i love you. but like i said i’m busy with volleyball, you aren’t my top priority right now.”

“it’s been 2 months kuroo!” you shouted, causing him to widen his eyes. “don’t you understand? i’m not asking for your top attention, I’m asking for you to give me 25% of it at least!”

it was quiet for a moment. “sorry.” was all he said, before turning around his eyes focused on the volleyball between his feet.

you felt hurt and frustrated. “you know what? fine.” he immediately went back to look at you, seeing you grab your bag. “see you whenever you feel like to acknowledge my existence, I guess. bye.”

as soon as you touched the doorknob, you could hear him get up and say the words ‘wait, baby wait—‘ but you had enough. you needed to air out your head of the tension and frustration of the house and you left. you felt tears peak at the corner of your eyes as soon as you did.

next day, and you’ve been feeling shittier than usual. as soon as you woke up, you turned to make you lay on your back, staring at your ceiling and thinking; “was i too harsh? am i being too selfish? too clingy?”

you loved what your boyfriend did and you were perfectly fine with him having his time to himself. you knew you weren’t his top priority and he wasn’t yours. but 2 months with little to no communication felt too long. was it wrong to want to spend at least 30 minutes with your boyfriend? was that too much to ask for?

the anxiety raced to your head again. what if you were being too clingy. maybe kuroo had the right to be upset too. you were being too selfish, stop thinking of yourself so often. you curled up into your side. you didn’t want to think about it, and you didn’t want to see him in the halls either. you didn’t even wanna check your phone to see if you messaged you.

you decided to skip, staying home, watching TV and playing some games. you couldn’t mentally handle seeing him. at least not for right now.

some time passes by, and your phone is buzzing. you checked the time from the small clock on your wall, seeing the handles pointing towards 4:30 PM. oh wow, after school clubs should be over too.

you grabbed your phone to see who it’s by, knowing deep down it was who you thought it was.

sighing, you placed your phone down on the small coffee table infront of you, but as soon did, you heard a knock coming from your front door. humming in response, you got up and made your way towards the front door, but decided to look through the peephole to make sure it wasn’t some scammer person or creep.

well, it was neither of those two but it was in fact no one else other than kuroo tetsuro. you sighed heavily again, before unlocking the door and turning the knob opening up to your boyfriend.

“hey y/n.”

you folded your arms, deciding to put up a strong facade, pretending you weren’t mentally screaming and that anxiety wasn’t clawing at your back. “did you forget something or...?”

you watched him scramble around a bit, finding it a bit cute. “can I come inside?” he asked. you nodded, and both of you went inside and sat to your coach.

“like I said y/n. i know ive been distant, and ive missed you so much. god, do I miss you. i wanna hug you and cuddle you so bad but volleyball and the nationals have been bugging me i couldn’t have find the proper time. i’m just scared... and I...”

“kuroo.” you said. his head snatched upwards, looking at you. you were gonna say something as soon as he did but the look he gave you caught you off guard. he looked like a cat pleading.

as soon as you pushed away the thoughts of him being stupidly adorable, you continued your sentence. “I understand, and i’m sorry for being too clingy. i just miss you a lot. i’m willing to wait for you, baby.” as soon as you said that, you saw his eyes pierce through your soul. fuck did I say something wrong.

before you could say anything else, it was kuroo’s turn to speak. “no baby. it’s alright, you aren’t the one at fault here it was me. i’m sorry for not listening to you that night. i’m gonna be a better boyfriend, i’m gonna be the boyfriend you deserve through and through.”

fucking idiot, i’m the one who was supposed to say sorry, not you! You didn’t say anything for a moment, before laughing lightly. “babe? i love you but i have to be the one who takes at least, 50% of the fault. it’s okay, i love you and i forgive you. and i’m happy for what you’re doing and how far you’ve come.” you placed your hand on his. “you can touch me now.”

he pulled away and brought you to a kiss. before you could respond, he asked, “are you free saturday?”

while suna and you disagreed on a lot of things from time to time, you two usually both came to a mutual agreement and it wasn’t anything big.

but lately he seemed even more off than usual. communication was such a huge thing between both of you, but he seemed to just not be...cooperating?

suna is someone who doesn’t like expressing his emotions. and as his significant other, you felt like understanding him was a priority. but you just didn’t sometimes and it made you worry. him being distant did not help.

one day when you decided to bring it up, the situation got a bit... out of hand

“what?” he asked.

you shrugged your shoulders. “i don’t know. suna i care for you, and you just never helping me understand makes me extremely upset! i know it’s hard for you, but...”

you could feel him roll his eyes. “i don’t know what you’re going on about y/n,” he looked at you. “but really, i’m fine. do you not trust me to talk to you or something?”

“no..!” you denied. “listen. youve been getting more and more tired each day and i could tell. you’ve been ghosting me too.”

you bowed and thanked him and the rest of the teammates before leaving. on your way home, you decided to stop by a connivence store and buy him his favorite snack, chuupet. or well, just jelly fruit snacks. you bought 2 packs for you and him, hoping it was a good time to apologize.

you walked up to his house, knocked lightly on the door and was greeted by his mother. “ah~ greetings y/n!” you smiled lightly and gave her a wave. “good afternoon! say, is rintaro home?” you asked. she nodded, moving to the side as a way to invite you in the house. “he should be in his room!”

“thank you!” you bowed quickly before making your way up the stairs. as soon as you passed by his sisters room, there you were infront of his. with your free hand, you lightly held a fist and began knocking on his door.

“suna? rintaro?” you called out. you would call him by a sweet pet name but remembering last night, you didn’t wanna break any boundaries. the room was quiet, and though you really didn’t wanna disturb him, you wanted to make sure he was okay. as soon as you did, however, you were greeted by a sight that broke your heart.

suna rintaro, the boy you loved so much, had his hair messier than usual, his eyes seemed red from crying and he was up against his bed frame, his phone in his hand. when he looked up, he saw you, his eyes widening.

“...y-y/n?” you stood there frozen. “rintaro...honey my god,” you quickly went up to him. “what happened?” you looked at him, his gaze looking down. you wanted to hug him so bad, but yet again, that argument you had last night prevented you from anything.

“hey. listen, sweetie. i got your favorite.” you held up the 2 bags of jelly fruit gummies. “it’s gonna be okay, okay? i’m here.” he was just looking at you, not saying anything, before muttering something under his breath.

suna never showed his emotions much, but he seemed to have a lot of pent up anger, sadness and confusion up in him, and he let it out for an hour infront of you, there to comfort him.

as soon as he stopped, you and him were snuggling on his bed watching whatever was on his TV, eating the fruit snacks. he leaned onto your head. “i love you...please, don’t leave me. i’m sorry.”

you bumped your head back onto him. “stop apologizing. i keep telling you it’s okay.” you giggled lightly. “please sweetie, talk to me so this doesn’t happen again.” he only nodded silently, before drifting to sleep in your embrace.

Digimon Adventure (Blind Watch) - Episode 40

Ah...back in the digi-world at last. There's been a time-skip and its become kind of a dystopia. Of course, it kinda already WAS a dystopia which is one of the things that bugs me about this series. They keep being like "you're the chosen ones to defeat the evil in this world!" but then there's like an indefinite amount of new evils that keep showing up. Imagine if Harry Potter was the chosen one to defeat Voldemort but then when he defeated Voldy, new evil wizards kept popping up and his chosen-one status transferred to them. Pretty vague destiny. I get that it's a product of this show's monster-of-the-week structure but it still bugs me.

Digimon introduced: MetalSeadramon, Mugendramon, Piemon, Pinochimon

Notes:

-I can feel the shounen power-leveling problems setting in. Everything just keeps escalating and nothing feels special anymore. Angemon and Angewomon can just show up whenever and warp evolution was casually used too. I think we've at least hit the end of the line for evolution levels. I wonder what gimmick they'll use when they can't rely on revealing new evolutions?

-I can't decide if it's good or bad that there's a villain team this arc. It could be really interesting or they could all be really flat. It's funny that the leader of the team is another flamboyant dude. The 90s loved their queer coded villains, that's for sure.

-Piemon is just Hisoka, Digimon AU and I'm upset (I'm reading Hunter x Hunter right now and he pisses me off)

-Funny seeing Mugendramon (Machinedramon) right after finishing Digimon World where he was the big bad at the end. He followed me to this arc!

-I think Pinochimon might be the most interesting of the Dark Masters so far. I feel like his powers and personality have the most potential for interesting plotlines. (Lol I wonder if they changed his name in the dub to avoid angering Disney?)

-Felt really bad for Chumon in this episode :'( he was so cute being carried around by Mimi like a plushie. RIP. Hikari again showing off her animal whisperer skills.

-Love the design of Spiral Mountain. I don't know what the mountain obsession is in Digimon, but this is the coolest looking one yet.

-That scene at the end with Piccolomon's sacrifice was sooo awkward. There's an explosion and Hikari literally just says "Piccolomon is dead" as if narrating for the audience's sake. Yikes. Why did Chumon get a more dignified send off than him?

-So far we're getting a lot of callbacks to old friends. I wonder if things will continue in that vein. I wouldn't mind that, the one-episode-only digimon tend to feel more flat.

Anyways, the bad guy (kidnapper?) fires the gun at Belphie but you chant a spell to protect him. He states that a bullet wouldn’t hurt him and thanks you anyways.(So we now know demons are bulletproof apparently)

YES GET HIM DADDY! (Bad guy takes off and Lord Diavolo was really gonna get the Royal Army to catch him)

After that fiasco, you 3 watch and enjoy the circus together and this part was really cute.

Thoughts:

Okay for some reason, personally, I always felt sorta sympathetic when it comes to Diavolo. Maybe it’s because he always seem so lonely? Idk but this lesson made me very happy for him. He was finally able to confess his love for MC. BUT what now? In one of the previous lessons, when Diavolo was close to confessing to MC (and Lucifer was kinda eavesdropping), Lucifer didn’t seem too happy about it. I wonder why? Also, Barbatos is such a wing man. I didn’t SS it but he purposely left Dia and MC alone so they can have their moment. Side thought on Barb: I wonder if in the future further lessons, Barb will fall in love with MC too because he’s so committed to Diavolo, it seems like he wouldn’t betray him. We did get a look at MC/Barb relationship but it hasn’t developed romantically (imo) yet since we really don’t get a lot of interaction with Barb (in main story). But we’ll save that for later. Also, Belphie and Diavolo finally come to a mutual understanding, let’s hope we don’t have anymore of that mess in the future.

4 more lessons to go! Im pretty sure the rest of the lessons will wrap up with MC getting their sorcerer’s license ofc. And we still have to find out who Simeon went to meet secretly (pretty sure it’s Michael or Raphael).

In conclusion, MC has 7 powerful demons, an Angel, A Human Wizard, and now a Demon prince wrapped around their finger. (WE’RE COMING FOR YOU SOON BUTLER).
