okay so like… imma say something maybe perhaps perchance controversial and hot-takey relating to sonic. and i’ve wanted to say this for awhile but didnt wanna get canceled becus it’s something that’s sorta difficult to convey through text…

i remember seeing a year or two ago that quite a few people thought shadamy was wrong simply becus amy reminded shadow of maria in SA2. so basically implying that like if amy is reminiscent of maria, this “inherently” means that shadow thinks of her also as his sibling of sorts.

but i honestly think this way of thinking isn’t correct. if you think about this in any context rather than this fandom then my point will be simpler to understand. for example, you can think to yourself “wow my partner has similar traits to {insert person here} in my family” WITHOUT thinking of them as the same person. acknowledging a parallel in personality should not be off limits when comparing someone you share romantic love with and someone you share platonic love with in my opinion, unless you’re the one constantly choosing to say/act upon that fact in an intentionally weird way.

we also don’t really know *exactly* what shadow was thinking in this exact moment, other than the fact that amy’s kind words changed his perspective and motives, which was the main point of that cutscene overall. it could very well be possible that shadow is experiencing some form of underdeveloped love for amy in that moment, but even he doesn’t know what kinda of love that may be becus he’s spent his whole life just traumatized and not exposed to relationship and friendship status quo of the outside world.

and may i remind you that shadamy is not the only ship to do this… so that argument really doesn’t even work?!? sonadow, probably the most popular ship ever in sonic, does this too. that official japanese art/story with shadow looking at the blue shoes references the parallels between sonic and maria i believe, along with MANY fan works i see regularly.

i’m glad the shift in shadamy has become apparent after TMOSTH and the twitter takeovers. i honestly change my opinion quite frequently between seeing this ship as more platonic or more romantic, but i wanted to still defend it nonetheless becus i find it quite ridiculous how much backlash it got for the stupidest things.

and in case this wasn’t clear- I DONT SUPPORT INCEST AND THIS POST IS NOT TRYING TO EXCUSE INCEST IN ANY WAY. i really just think that characters can be more complex than some people initially interpret them and so to quickly shame others based on these conclusions feels very odd to me.

i think interpreting dynamics that dont have any canon basis to be familial as familial is totally fine but a) you cannot act like this is canon fact and, in tandem with that, b) you cannot attack people for interpreting it differently. believe me i am all for killing people who sexualize ACTUAL familial/familial-coded dynamics with knives but you have got to understand that just bcuz these two characters are friends does not mean they are siblings and it does not mean you get to get mad at others when they inevitably ship them

The Shadora Horde - 2023!

Here are all the ShadowXAurora kids I've made (so far hahaha!). As I always mention, I'm always open to Shadora fankids that you guys make. I can never have too many Shadora babies. I made changes to the original 5 so they're now closer in age and I also balanced out their powers more. Some of them were a little OP originally but I think I've fixed it. I have super detailed descriptions of each character below the cut!

PIPER

Birthday: 11/12 (1st Born)

Role: Leader

Powers: Combustion, Weapon Summoning

Weaknesses: Disorder

Dream Voice Actor: Brittany Snow

Theme Song: “Smile” - Wolf Alice

Piper is the first born in the first litter of Aurora and Shadow and is the natural leader of the group. She is generally sweet and respectful but is very proud of her pedigree so can be a little judgemental at times. She is a perfectionist to a fault and will become easily aggravated if things don’t go her way. Though she can be cocky, she is overall a caring and loving person and is quick to help those in need. Piper has naturally wild bangs and a large patch of fluffy fur on her chest. These traits drive her crazy! She always has her bangs pinned down to the side and her chest fur covered up. In her teen years she takes up motorcycle riding and it helps loosen her up and embrace her more wild side. 

Piper is capable of harnessing the power of the Chaos Emeralds to perform Chaos Blast and Chaos Control. Without the need for Chaos Emeralds, Piper has combustion powers. Piper can incinerate objects with a snap of her fingers. She has excellent mastery and precision of this skill. She was given the task to train Cinder to control his combustion powers, but the two tend to get frustrated with each other since control comes so naturally to Piper and it’s incredibly foreign to Cinder.

Piper is naturally drawn to Amy’s hammer wielding abilities and grows up admiring it. Though she isn’t allowed to use the Piko Piko Hammer, Amy trains her in good hammer-form with the use of props. IF Mammy Amy ever decides to retire, she will bequeath her hammer to Piper. The hammer’s design will change based on Piper’s personality.

ZANE

Birthday: 11/12 (2nd Born)

Powers: Super Speed

Weaknesses: Arachnophobia 

Dream Voice Actor: Robert Buckley

Theme Song: “We Are Young” - 3OH!3

Zane is the second born in the first litter of Aurora and Shadow. Zane is a daredevil and an extreme extrovert. He is most like his Pawpaw Sonic with his quick wit and high energy. He does not like emotional confrontations and will go out of his way to avoid uncomfortable situations. Even though he’s mostly easygoing, he butts heads with his dad a lot. 

Zane is a huge flirt and frequently develops intense crushes on people, but due to his short attention span, he’ll move on quickly (think Romeo with Rosaline). Zane is very fond of children and enjoys being the center of attention. Even though Piper is the leader of the group, the younger siblings tend to follow whatever Zane is doing. Lucky for Piper, he mostly listens to what she says.

Zane is capable of harnessing the power of the Chaos Emeralds to perform Chaos Control. Without the need for Chaos Emeralds, Zane has super speed. He wears special shoes that can transform based on his needs, but he prefers the motocross boot style when he’s not running.

For hobbies, Zane likes to do extreme stunts and attend/throw parties. He has dreams of being a DJ with his brother Nova.

NOVA

Birthday: 11/12 (3rd Born)

Powers: Plasma (Ionikinetic Combat)

Weaknesses: Laziness

Dream Voice Actor: Josh Keaton

Theme Song: “Weirdo” - K.Flay

Nova is the third born in the first litter of Aurora and Shadow. He is very peaceful in nature and would rather find roundabout ways to solve problems than coming to blows (though he attributes this to knowing he would cream his opponent due to this strong bloodline). He’s a bit of an oddball but he embraces his quirkiness instead of being concerned about how others think of him. He often comes off as aloof and is rather lazy.

Nova is capable of harnessing the power of the Chaos Emeralds to perform Chaos Control. Without the need for Chaos Emeralds, Nova has plasma/Ionikenetic powers. He can shoot radioactive plasma at his enemies which can burn or dissolve material on impact. Nova does not like using his powers because they are so destructive. 

Nova is very close with his brother Zane and will go along with his schemes, even if his heart’s not entirely in it. He is artistic and tends to live a very messy, disheveled lifestyle. He loves to collect things and can be considered a packrat.

ASTER

Birthday: 4/8 (4th born)

Powers: Telekinesis, Telepathy

Weaknesses: Codependency

Theme Song: “Despair and Traffic” - SOFT PLAY

Aster is the first born in the second litter of Aurora and Shadow. Though he seems rough on the surface, he’s actually the most academically intelligent of all his siblings. He is loud and passive aggressive but can appreciate the beauty in peace and quiet when he chooses. He is very theatrical and enjoys making a huge spectacle out of his battles, including saying poetic catchphrases and even coining the term “Prepare for the Blitz-Aster Disaster!” He is secretly a romantic at heart.

Aster is rarely seen without his sister Blitz. He is the brain to her brawn. Though he’s the more level-headed twin, Blitz’s dominant personality tends to direct their fighting strategies. He does not know how to be independent, which can be used against him.

Aster is capable of harnessing the power of the Chaos Emeralds to perform Chaos Control. Without the need for Chaos Emeralds, Aster shows early signs of telekinetic and telepathic abilities. He hasn’t mastered many techniques yet, but with some proper training it’s possible he could become a force to be reckoned with. If only Blitz would shut up for 5 minutes so he could concentrate!

Aster enjoys challenging mind games, like chess.

BLITZ

Birthday: 4/8 (5th born)

Powers: Energy Blasts (“Chaos Spear”)

Weaknesses: Codependency, Impulsivity

Blitz is the second born in the second litter of Aurora and Shadow. Blitz is brash and forward but can be a little spacey. She has a short attention span and is easily bored. She considers fighting as a form of playing. She is very proud of herself and her heritage and isn’t afraid to namedrop to get her way. 

Blitz is rarely seen without her brother Aster. She is the brawn to his brain. Blitz’s dominant personality tends to direct their fighting strategies despite her brother’s concerns. She is very theatrical and enjoys making a huge spectacle out of her battles, including saying poetic catchphrases and even coining the term “Prepare for the Blitz-Aster Disaster!” She is very codependent and hates doing anything without Aster.

Blitz is capable of harnessing the power of the Chaos Emeralds to perform Chaos Control. Without the need for Chaos Emeralds, Blitz has the natural ability to perform Chaos Spear which can dagger her enemies with energy.

Blitz loves fashion and is a huge trendsetter. She would love to be a fashion designer if world domination doesn’t work out (She’s just kidding – relax already!)

Cinder

Birthday: 2/18 (6th born)

Powers: Combustion, Stellar Tantrum

Weaknesses: Migraines, Short Temper

Theme Song: “Tantrum” - Ashnikko

Cinder is the first born in the third litter of Aurora and Shadow. He has a very short temper and is incredibly impatient. He is the most like his father in that he is not very talkative and would rather be left alone than socialize with others. His outbursts of rage can often be used to his enemies’ advantage by being misdirected to his siblings and teammates. He is also terrified of himself, which makes him constantly on edge. 

Cinder is NOT capable of using Chaos Emeralds and instead has to rely on his natural abilities. Cinder has combustion powers, but unlike his sister Piper, his powers are based solely on his emotions so he has a very hard time commanding the direction and radius of his blasts. Piper was tasked with training Cinder to better manage his combustion powers, but the two tend to get frustrated with each other since control comes so naturally to Piper and it’s incredibly foreign to Cinder. When Cinder goes into a blinding rage, his fur and eyes change color and sparks of energy will fire off randomly around him. When in this form, he can perform a move called “Stellar Tantrum.” This move is highly destructive and will incinerate any and all objects nearby. He has absolutely no control over this power once it’s unleashed.

As a child, Cinder was more outgoing but still prone to crying outbursts. However, during one particular fight with his sister Diamond, he accidentally unleashed a Stellar Tantrum and severely burned her. Luckily Boon was able to use his healing powers to reverse it, but Cinder has never forgiven himself and has never been the same ever since. Cinder requested a special Inhibitor necklace be made to help dampen his powers, but it’s not very effective. It works more as a placebo than anything else. He keeps everyone at a distance whenever possible and thinks there’s something evil in him, despite his parents’ reassurances. 

Cinder doesn’t like to discuss his hobbies, but he actually loves baking and reading books.

DIAMOND

Birthday: 2/18 (7th Born)

Role: Tank

Powers: Brute Strength

Weaknesses: Poor eyesight, Light sensitivity

Dream Voice Actor: Kimberly Brooks [x] [x] [x]

Theme Song: “Cleopatra” - Nova Twins

Diamond is the second born in the third litter of Aurora and Shadow. She has a sweet disposition and is very polite, even to her opponents. However, she can be a smart ass at times and is quick to make jokes. She is highly dedicated to physical training but outside of the gym she’s very easy-going. Diamond was born with Oculocutaneous albinism. Due to her albinism and nystagmus, she is sensitive to light and has very poor eyesight. As a baby and toddler, Diamond mostly clung to Aurora whenever outdoors as she could bend the light around Diamond and protect her from UV rays. As Diamond got older and grew more independent, Tails’ Workshop crafted a special brooch that acts as a light shield when activated. Diamond never leaves home without it.

Diamond is NOT capable of using Chaos Emeralds and instead has to rely on her natural abilities. She has incredible strength and is physically the strongest of all her relatives. 

As a child, she and her brother Cinder got into a fight where he accidentally unleashed a Stellar Tantrum and severely burned her. Luckily Boon was able to use his healing powers to reverse it. She has completely forgiven Cinder and has never held it against him, but he continues to be distant with her to this day.

She enjoys training in the Shadora Home Gym to better perfect her fighting skills and she is almost always found sporting earbuds so she can listen to her favorite punk rock and metal bands.

Boon

Birthday: 2/18 (8th Born)

Role: Support

Powers: Healing, Mood-Boosting

Weaknesses: People-pleasing

Theme Song: “Smile” - Dami Im

Boon is the third born in the third litter of Aurora and Shadow. Boon is the embodiment of a ray of sunshine and has 10000% charisma. He genuinely loves everyone he meets and enjoys putting smiles on people’s faces. Boon is very silly and has a very childish sense of humor. He also has a lot of energy and has a habit of rambling without realizing it.

Boon is NOT capable of using Chaos Emeralds and instead has to rely on his natural abilities. He has incredible healing abilities and can heal the wounded, but it takes a lot of energy from him so can only do so much at a time. He cannot revive the dead. Boon also has a “mood-boosting” ability, where he can positively affect the emotions of others. This can only be done by making direct contact with someone and the effect only lasts temporarily. Boon’s powers positively affected Aurora’s pregnancy, making her third litter the easiest and stress free of all her pregnancies (Thank you, Boon!)

Boon wears special rocket boots so he can quickly fly to anyone in battle who needs assistance. His boots have a button on the heel to activate them, and he likes to click his heels together to turn them on. Though he never complains about his duties, Aurora often worries about Boon’s need to please others and reminds him that he can’t help others if he doesn’t help himself. Aurora and Boon are the most alike of all her children as both are prone to singing outbursts, goofy jokes and harmless pranks to make people laugh.

All Shadora kids are mortal and did not inherit Shadow’s immortality. However, they do heal faster than the average Mobian.

A NOTE ABOUT SHADOW’S “AGE”

Shadow is immortal so therefore he doesn’t age. However it’s been long debated in my Shadora stories whether or not he will give up his immortality to live a normal life with his family. I have him in these drawings as still being immortal, especially because I like the angst and challenges that comes with (ex: how are your rebellious teenagers supposed to respect you when they are seemingly “older” than you?) but I haven’t actually decided when he will decide to be mortal. 

BUT if you ever draw me fanart or write me fanfics and you want to have become mortal at an earlier point in his life I’m totally cool with that! I’m flexible.

Fankids Character Charts [1/3]

The kids!! The first 7 out of all the kids getting charts!!! They're going to be divided in three groups because they're too many kiddos now lol.

More detailed info under the cut!

Emmie: Sonadow kid, the one who got my fankid train started! Also, the first Tube Baby! (Here's three posts about it: One, two, three).

Her full name is Emily (meaning "rival"), however, everyone just calls her Emmie (out of universe explanation + in universe explanation).

She has Black Arms DNA, but it's uncertain the lenghts it's effects have on her. They know she had green blood (first shown here) and has access to the Hivemind, which as a baby she used to communicate with Shadow (first shown here), but as she grew older she stopped using it, and now finds it harder to access it.

She, of course, also has Chaos Energy. She has super speed and can perform Chaos Control (here) and turn Super (first shown here), but her super form is highly unstable and quickly becomes similar to Sonic's "Super Fleetway" form (here).

Emmie uses her trusty yoyo to fight (here), complementing her powers and ability in a way to extend the reach of her attacks, rope in her enemies, etc.

Sparks: The oldest of my Blazamy kids, and first Belly Baby in the lineup (here's context).

Sparks has fire powers, similar to Blaze's, though they find them a bit harder to control. They get Blaze, Knuckles and Espio's help to learn to use said powers, since they require a lot of training. Also, again, quite like Blaze, they can turn into Burning Sparks (here), but this form drains their energy pretty fast.

Since Blaze is a princess, Amy, Sparks and Tulip do acquire royalty related tiltes, however, they're very informal and don't hold that much power due to Blaze not wanting them to have any responsability simply because they're related to her. Despite this, Sparks does end up becoming ruler of the Sol Dimension later in the timeline, but by their own volution.

They use a fire sword to fight (here). It would be a simple sword, but they infuse it with their powers for it to become this flaming version of the weapon.

Lash: The oldest of my Scourgiona kids and your local surprise baby representation.

Her main ability is acrobatics, and she has some sort of super speed but it's quite weak compared to Emmie's.

She has both mommy and daddy issues, and spends most of her time at Aim's house, although she grew up with Mareep, Glamour and Stumble. She has two older siblings, and at first she didn't have much of a relationship with them, since they're younger than her and much closer to each other, but eventually Lash steps in and tries to be a part of her siblings' life like their parents should've been.

She starts as more of a "villain", taking the role of your local mean girl next to Mareep and the others, and has a bit of friction with the rest of the kids, but as she starts hanging out more with Aim and Spades, she begins to let that attitude go and tries to be better, eventually joining the Restoration.

Aim: Whispangle kid, selectively mute, and a Belly Baby.

He does archery, which is their main fighting technique, however, during battle, they also use their tail to move around faster and will occasionally team up with Whisper's wisps.

He does not speak, at all, but the others just seem to understand him without him even needing sign language or anything. Also finally giving it a name rather than just saying 'he doesn't speak', they're selectively mute! So yay for it finally having a name!

Bria: Sonina (Sonia x Mina) Belly Baby! Making them Emmie's younger cousin.

They don't fight much, rather serving to give hope and high spirits to those around her! But of course, living in the universe they live in, they know martial arts just in case it's needed, and as self defense.

Even though Bria's hard of hearing, his biggest passion is music. She plays piano and guitar, piano being his main instrument.

Tulip: The youngest of my Blazamy siblings, also a Belly Baby (in universe explanation here).

He hasn't shown any special ability yet, which is something that bothers him. Because of this, he isn't allowed to be around the other kids when there's danger, but he's very sneaky and often gets things to work in his favor anyway (in some strange way, he always knows what to do to get what's best for his interests, hm...)

He has an interest in tarot cards, like Amy, and in these sorts of magic related topics.

Destiny: One and only Code Baby! And Sallicole kid. She's an AI similar to Nicole, but with more advanced and sophisticated technology.

Being an AI, she can easily hack into robots and computers, which helps during battle.

They usually take the leader role very naturally, immediately making a plan on the spot and guiding the rest of the group thanks to her rational thinking nature. However, she's quite shy which makes things a bit difficult for her, her confident side mainly showing when assuming the role of the leader, or when fighting for things they're passionate about.

Destiny is president and leader or a smaller section of the Restoration, which is the training and formation for teenagers. This is where she shines her brightest, leading this group on missions and making their plans of action, as well as organizing their training schedule.

This might be an unpopular opinion on here, but I would actually prefer it if Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles were the only adopted Wachowski siblings. I loved their dynamic as a trio of brothers in movies 2 and 3 (and the Knuckles show) so much that I wouldn't want it to change by adding another character to the mix. I love Shadow in the SCU, but I don't see him as brother material to any of the 3 boys. He would more likely ally with Agent Stone (seeing as the Robotniks were his family, and nobody would ever take their place) or choose to take his own path after years of imprisonment. It appears from the end credits scene in 3 that Amy will be a free spirited and independent agent who doesn't desperately need a family or a new tribe like Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles. The found family theme just fits with those latter 3 characters so much better. I would prefer it if Amy was just a cool friend and ally to the boys and their family rather than a sister or a love interest. But those are just my opinions 😊 have a good day!

Don’t worry! It’s perfectly okay to share thoughts and rambles here. I promise! Like you, I can’t see Shadow joining a family in the SCU. Like… at all. I can, however, see him visit the Wachowski Family to let them know that he’s alive and well. Shadow is not an individual to be their brothers. He is a loner and distances himself.

As for Amy Rose? I think that anything is quite possible with her. She could be an individual that passes through zones to check in on everyone, or she could be a potential fourth child of the Wachowski family. Either way, I’m pretty open to seeing what happens to her.

But I do see what you’re saying: the Wachowski Family is a good balance of people where they interlock with everyone.

Ya'll... I just watched the new Sonic movie (Sonic 3) and I have to say... I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Me ranting about it after the cut!!

SONIC 3 SPOILERS!!

1) Okay, so, first of all. The movie was amazing. I felt so giddy and excited when I was sitting in the movie theate, just waiting for the next thing to happen.

2) I had to hold back my tears when Tom got brutally punched by Shadow, mainly at hoe Sonic reacted at that... poor boy thought he lost another parent:( I didn't want to cry in front of of my brothers. (They would've bullied me bc they always do)

2) Maria was sososososo pretty!!! I really wished that we could've seen more of the sibling dynamic between her and Shadow, but I honestly loved the relationship they had.

4) My boy Tails should've had more screen time though...💔 Along with knuckles...💔 (I understand they already had enough going on in the movie, and I think if they did what I wanted, it probably would've made the movie uncomfortably cramped)

5) TAILS LOOKED SO CUTE WITH THE HELMET ON IN THE HELECOPTER ATVTHE BEGINNING OMG⁉️⁉️⁉️⁉️ I mentally agreed with Agent Stone when he said Tails was adorable, because he is.

6) Honestly, kinda wished Stone and Tails built up a friendship between them. Would've been fun to see them interact more! (Again, same thing I said earlier in nr.4)

7) I actually thought about this before seeing the movie. If I remembered correctly, the movie is based of Sonic adventure 2 (I believe) And Amy Rose was the one who comforted Shadow and got him to turn from evil to good? (I THINK. I SAW A PLAY THROUGH LIKE 10 YEARS AGO, DON'T YELL AT ME😭) So, I wondered how the would go about this. Honestly, the fact that Sonic comforted Shadow was a little odd to me, but what Sonic said was sweet. Since this is the movies we're talking about, it's on brand that Sonic was comforting him, since basically every single live action Sonic movie has him comforting SOMEBODY. Honestly, I liked it.

8) And... THE WAY MR. OLD REBOTNIC (can't remember name💔) GOT KILLED!?!?!? WHAT!?!? YOU'RE TELLING ME HE FOT STABBED IN THE BUTT BY A SUPER POWERED ALIEN HEDGEHOG QUIL, GOT LUNCHED UP, AND GOT INCINERATED BY A DAMN SHEILD!?!? Woah. Imagine telling other people how you died and someone says THIS to you??? My one brother quite literally looked at me like this when that happened: "😧" (my other brother laughed his arse off)

9) And the final message Robotnic gave Stone?? Omg, you can NOT tell me they didn't have SOMETHING going on over there....

10) Finally, the end credit scene... METAL SONIC AND AMY???? ARAGARAGATSGA!!!! Sigh, Why must I wait for the 4th movie to come out... 😔 (PLEASE GIVE REVERSE SONAMY IN THE NEW MOVJE OLEASE PLEASE PLEAS PLEASE PLEA) Also, when Amy revealed herself a little boy (who had a Sonic CAPE mind you) yelled out "IT'S AMY!!!" He might be a bigger fan then me chat... (I forgot my Tails plush 😔)

11) Fun mini fact about me, I'm not much of a Shadow fan (Don't come at me) so I've never been too interested in him. However, the movie got me much more interested in him, and Shadow is now up there with the others. (Also made me feel much more for the poor boy :<)

12) Overall, the movie was literally the best one I have seen in a WHILE. Even though the movie had a lot going on, I still felt immersed in the story the whole way through. Character development was was amazing, Sonic crashing out was SO COOL??? Tails and Knuckles trying to stop him was just as amazing. Tails looking like a scared kid while Sonic and Knuckles were disagreeing tugged SO HARD onto my heart strings💔 I really recommend the movie, it was a great watch. I do however recommend watching the first two movies before watching the third one.

So I got a list of theories, I am sorry if this is too long to answer, but I had to share my thoughts with you guys.

Shamdow is probably the least aware of everything going on. He seems genuinely confused and concerned about Sonic/Nicky, even when Sonic/Nicky is "new."

Shillver (thanks to whoever came up with this name) knows the most. After all, why would you randomly be on a rooftop standing in the rain and hiding behind a door you got smacked with? Surprised there was no audible sound of a man swearing upon being smacked by a METAL DOOR.

Both of Tails actors are siblings. It was common for some characters to be played by siblings due to similarities with them at young ages. Though based on the photo and the fact these follow the games, these two most likely acted in the Sonic Generations season of this show.

Knuckle's actor is probably the one who constantly needs to keep people on track, and he is probably the one who has the angry writing on that board. I also feel like he is the one who actually takes care of Cheese since chaos are associated with the Master Emerald. It would make sense for Knuckle's actor to still have a slight connection to it, even if he doesn't in real life.

Cassy is for sure Rouge. Shadow and Rouge were both introduced in the same game, so it would make sense for both to be introduced the same season. I am going to guess she is also Shamdow's roommate, mainly because it seems like the two would live together before they get into acting.

Cream's actor is probably the least seen, but most liked of the cast. She definitely seems like she embodies Cream herself, whether she is acting or not.

Blaze's actor might know part of what is going on, but not fully. Blaze and Silver do have a somewhat close relation in the game they appeared in, and afterwards it was more of Deja Vu due to weird Sonic Game timeline stuff, so Blaze's actor may know something because of Shillver.

Amy's actor has a scar on her cheeks. I have a feeling she accidentally got it on set, since her character does weird a hammer, and I am sure some balance issues may happen time to time, resulting in a few falls.

Eggman's actor is probably the sweetest man alive, or the most evil man you'll ever meet. Either way, he appeared in the first few pages and is for sure going to be seen later.

Sonic/Nicky isn't "new" as the studio suggests, they just use the "new" story to make everyone believe he was replaced. I am going to guess that if Sonic/Nicky has been there the entire time since the shows creation, the studio had some really clever ways to hide stuff. Especially if Sonic/Nicky is still a teenager after 30+ years.

Lastly, if Sonic Generations is a season, then who was the Classic Sonic actor? Does Sonic/Nicky have any siblings and doesn't know/realize it, or is it just some random blue hedgehog actor that the studio randomly found and knew would make for a believeable younger Sonic?

I gotta say, we're both so sad you're anonymous right now - this was an awesome string of theories and we wanted to give you props!

I can't answer all of them in depth, as you probably guessed, but I'll go ahead and confirm what I can right now!

I can't even make a snarky comment on this or anything, you just hit ALL of the Tails portion of this theory on the head. They are indeed siblings, and both did participate in the Generations season!

Knuckles' actor was definitely the one writing on the board, but I can't tell you anything else about him for now... except for the fact that he doesn't take care of Cheese LMAO

Cassy is definitely Rouge. They aren't roommates, but they were technically new friends when they were introduced. They met during the casting for SA2.

Blaze's actor doesn't really know what's going on, but I'd say they're suspicious. Also, they're not too close with Shillver, but they're friends enough.

All of the section about Amy's actor is correct! She did get that little scar on set, during the filming of Sonic CD! I'm sure you can guess where.

Eggman's actor(s) is definitely ... a man. He's nice! He's nice.

The studio definitely has some really clever (and morally dubious) ways of hiding things. There have been several occasions where more extreme measures were needed, though.

Classic Sonic definitely has an actor! He's his own entity, has his own life (and is connected to Amy's actor in his own ways). They aren't siblings or anything (though that's not to say that Sonic doesn't have any).

SPOILERS FOR THE END OF SONIC 3

I had a whole rant written about the sonic movie but I accidentally deleted it and am too lazy to rewrite it, so you get a rant about best girl Amy instead!!

What I love about Amy rose's character, independently of the others in the squad, is how her character represents one of the purest feelings: Love. She outstretches that love to others in many way and that's what makes her such a likeable presence in the sonic games and comics. She's just this sweet girl who would do anything to help others... She just also happens to be extremely physically strong and wield a powerful hammer! Normal silly kitty activities :D

Anyways, it was about time they added her to the sonic cinematic universe, I'm just a little torn with how they should approach her character. On one hand, the fact that she's meant to be some sort of embodiment/representation of love is an obviously important part of her. But at the same time, should it be represented as a crush for sonic..? I don't know. That part of her has always been important, and I'd even go as far as to say you can judge older sonic media based on how well they treat Amy's crush on sonic or how much it serves her own character.

Problem is, crafting a character who's crush on another elevates them as a person is harder said then done, and I just don't believe the sonic movies have the maturity it takes to do so. So, while a part of me would LOVE for Amy to regain that very central characteristic that dominated her character back when I was a kid, another side of me has gain so much more respect for her character and hopes they keep it down slightly. They can do it sort like how it was done in sonic prime! Create tension, without an outright label. I just hope it's not something that drives her, since I find the other relationships she has much more interesting.

- Her bonding with tails in the ways you would with a friend's younger sibling

- Knuckles respecting her strength and seeing her as a worthy and useful ally

- Her attempting to understand and connect with Shadow and his trauma

She's just so cute and sweet and the love she gives to people (romantically or platonically) is an important part of her! I need them to not fuck up my girl, she deserves far better!

Okay, so I read this post, and for the most part kinda agree with the frustrating way IDW seems to be shoving Amy into the grouping by excluding Knuckles. Trying to make her into some girlboss who is on top of everything and doing that "she worries herself sick because she cares so much about everyone else" thing that a lot of media does with female characters.

And yes, I get it, Amy's character IS that she cares. It's who she is. And I like that they're pulling her back from the "girl who chases after Sonic" thing that Sega seemed to define her as for the longest time. Make her a more formidable member of the group, someone who can take care of herself and contribute. By all means, give her a little attitude that shows she can be just as dangerous as the others.

But they don't have to shove Knuckles to the side to do so.

Amy's always been strong. But the scene with Silver and the giant hammer seemed a little too strong. Teamwork, anyone?

The whole "dissolved the resistance on a whim" thing is repetitive and annoying, but I could see her point. She's a little bitter that all this was dropped on her head without warning. She stepped up because someone had to.

But I also see this from Knuckles' pov. He's a very straightforward guy. The way he sees things is PROBLEM->SOLUTION->RETURN TO NORMAL. That's the way he's lived his life.

BUT

That being said, I don't like how IDW is making Knuckles out to be Shrek, always wanting people off his island asap. In this instance, the Zombot thing had just finished, and he's already kicking everyone off?

I get that he's being gruff and that's part of his "Knuckles charm" but it could also come off as being really 2 dimensional into his character. "Oh, he's grumpy and tells people to get off his island." He's also very loyal to his friends, and wants to make sure innocent people are not harmed. Kicking everyone off like 5 minutes after they recovered from being changed into zombots is cold, even for a 'grumpy' character like him.

But okay, let's psychoanalyze him for a moment, based on these panels.

Amy cranks about Knux dissolving the resistance, and Knuckles responds with essentially "The war was over, we didn't need a resistance anymore". Which, he's right. They don't need a resistance if there's no threat to resist. What she was doing is recovery and restoration. That's not his thing. That's a different focus, and not something he's good at.

The threat was eliminated, so he saw the job as done. HIS job was done.

His next lines, about her helping everyone everywhere, could be seen as him being frustrated that she'd always taking the care of others onto her own shoulders. Maybe he sees her as too kind-hearted, and worries it'll come back to hurt her in the end. He doesn't want Amy to be hurt, but he can't come out and say that. So he assumes his gruff demeanor once again, to fall back to the "get off my island" schtick.

Look at his expression. He doesn't look angry. He looks, annoyed maybe? Resigned that he KNOWS she's gonna run herself ragged in trying to help everyone, but there's not a damn thing he can do to stop her.

Now, consider that this little exchange took place when a lot of other people were around, and he was already feeling hot because Sonic brought not only trouble to Angel Island, but a contagious 'disease' that could have compromised everything.

By contrast, look at this back-and-forth:

They're both much more relaxed, and capable of addressing the elephant in the room without their individual shields up in front of others. She pokes at him about it, and he looks honestly a little guilty for leaving her a mess to clean up. And he apologized.

I do love their little interactions, they're very sibling coded and I'm all here for it.

I don't know where I was going with this. 😆 I guess I share in the frustration that Knuckles seems to be shoved to the side in favor of giving other characters his traits and abilities (Shadow has taken over a lot of Knuckles' abilities when it comes to sensing chaos emeralds, it seems), and it's very frustrating how there is so much potential in his story, yet all we see is him in relation to Angel Island or the Master Emerald. Yes, those are important to him, but they're not ALL there is to him.

Oh hell yeah. I will do it for both just because you asked so nicely (you did trust me).

For Amare:

💝 - How much effort do they put into appearances? Do they have a favorite article of clothing?

Amare has a huge scale on how much she puts into her appearance. She prefers to go all out but that is just not reasonable every night. She is a scourge and sometimes that means sacrificing style for function or speed.

Amare is also a Lasombra which means she can't see herself that well and if she doesn't have access to her makeup ghoul, she has to wing it. I think she has become capable of doing some basic smudge on her eyes but she cannot do anything much further without help.

Her favorite article of clothing is her leather trench coat but she wont admit it. It makes her feel cool in the cringiest way possible.

💙 - Describe their bedroom! Is it personalized, unchanged? Messy, neat?

Amare keeps a neat room. She owns a mansion so her room is for three things, day rest, getting dressed and fucking. She loves nature a lot so you will see tons of plants and greenery but also a bit of gothic influence but nothing over the top. Just some dark colors to make her dark soul feel comfy. I think if modern goth was a thing, it would be sort of like that. Again with some earthy elements too because she practically grew up in a forest.

👖 - Coffee shop or high school AU, your choice: tell me their role.

Coffee shop and she is at a table with her papers everywhere while researching some big scoop for her journalism career. Oh no she dropped a folder and papers went everywhere. Oh. What's this? A cute guy is helping her grab them. He looks a little pissed but he is being sweet. Oh, wow Vesper is such a cute name, hiii :)

Amy has to look perfect because that is her biggest weapon. Looking anything less than, is a handicap to herself. She sees her appearance as the ultimate form of expression. Her tattoos her piercings her makeup and clothes. It all matters to her. She doesn't have much but she has that.

Her favorite article of clothing is an Amy Rose (from Sonic) t-shirt her lil sibling got her when she was still in high school. If your wondering, her lil sibling is super into Sonic and they played it together growing up.

💙 - Describe their bedroom! Is it personalized, unchanged? Messy, neat?

Amy doesn't have a bedroom and bums around but I think Ash recently got a place for her to stay so I will say with that in mind it looks very modern witch but not quite dark academia. Lots of tapestries hanging. A few plants. Some stringed up lights. It has to have a calming mood. Something that could be romantic as well. It is clean but a bit messy still.

👖 - Coffee shop or high school AU, your choice: tell me their role.

Coffee shop. She got a job as a barista so she could work with a girl she's been in love with since high school. They started dating and now she in the storage room eating her out while the third barista is having a panic attack running the shop by herself.

Flickies chirped high above the grassy earth beneath their wings. Their joyous songs filled the warm air on Mobius as the sun began to rise. With the Metarex finally defeated, peace had returned across the universe.

But at what cost?

Such were the thoughts that plagued the young girl’s mind as she watched the world beyond the rolling green hills wake from its slumber. She closed her eyes, recalling the week-long journey back from the obliterated planet. Nobody had spoken a word, each grieving for the seedrian and friend lost. She recalled her petals and ashes blowing gently through the cosmos as the young fox cried out in failure and anguish. He’d stayed like that for a while, curled up in front of his control panel until he had no more tears to shed. She recalled spotting Sonic floating back towards the broken, dead planet, coming back to the ship after a short while. She’d followed him, watching silently from around the corner as he quietly approached his dear brother. After a few moments, he held out a tiny seed, though not one created for destruction like the others. No, this seed was a remnant from their lost friend, a reminder she’d left behind for Tails to keep moving forward without her towards a brighter future. He took it, burying his face in his brother’s chest as he wept. It had all been too much, especially for someone his age, and Sonic held him close until he was okay to let go, voicing his own apologies for failing as a hero.

It wasn’t just him though. Everyone felt like a failure.

Though with each passing day, the pain grew ever distant. Eve’s wounds healed quickly, her charred skin now showing no signs of injury or scarring to her brother’s surprise. By all accounts, it was a miracle, though Eve didn’t feel so lucky. Sonic still refused to speak to her, the two of them even more unsure how to move forward as friends after his stunt with the seed.

None of that mattered now anyway.

Today was the day she was to return home.

Today was the day she would say goodbye to all of her friends…

Forever this time.

“All set, Knuckles. The energy is stable.”

Eve stood there silently, eyes downcast as her brother readied the ship he built that would return them to their home dimension. The window for such travel was closing rapidly with only a few minutes now to spare.

Still, she wasn’t ready.

“Alright. Then you two better get going. The window won’t be open for much longer.”

“We’ll miss you two.”

They’d already said goodbye to the young rabbit, her chao friend, and the gang of Chaotix detectives. Tails had offered a small goodbye, but still needed time to himself, leaving only Amy and Knuckles to see the Thorndyke siblings off. As for the blue hedgehog, he’d gone silent and was nowhere to be found.

Sonic…

She’d never be able to make it up to him, not when the blue hedgehog was absent from the scene. It tore her up inside and out, yet there was nothing she could do now. 

She had to go back to where she belonged.

She had to…

It was the right thing to do…

Eve jolted as her brother’s hand met her shoulder, “Hey, you ready?”

She had no choice…

Eve nodded, keeping her gaze low.

Besides, it wasn’t as if things could go back to the way they were between them. It would never be the same. They each lost a part of themselves on that space station: his confidence…her trust…

Nothing would ever be the same between them.

“...Alright. I guess that’s everything then. Come on, Eve.” Chris tugged gently on her hand as he walked forward.

There was no point in staying.

And yet…

Eve paused, her hand falling gently from his grasp.

“Chris…”

He turned to face her.

“I-”

“Stay.”

Eve jolted, her eyes flying upwards as she met his sad but smiling gaze.

“But-”

“It’s okay.”

The two of them stayed like that for a moment, staring into each other’s eyes as Amy and Knuckles watched in shock. 

Chris turned to face them, “Can you two give us a moment?”

The two Mobians looked to each other with concern before looking back and nodding. They stepped away, allowing the two siblings to speak privately.

“Chris…” Eve began to tear up. She turned her head sharply away, “No. I’ve thought it over a-and…” She trailed off.

“And what?”

“I-I don’t…belong here, Chris! I-I’m not Mobian! I-I’m only human! You saw what happened! I-I belong on a world where I can’t get in the way because of that, a-a world where I’m safe!”

“You mean a world without adventure?”

“...”

“Without…your friends?”

Eve looked up at him, wavering in her conviction as doubt seeped into her gaze. She looked away just as quickly, guilt washing over her.

“...”

Chris took his little sister’s hands in his, “Eve…I’ve been watching over you these past seven years, ever since Sonic first showed me what it meant to be a big brother. Not once in the six years they were gone did I ever see you come to life as you have with them. They are your family just as much as I will always be…” A couple tears sprung from his eyes, “...and just as you will always be to me.”

Tears sprung into her eyes too as she raced in for a hug, burying her face into her brother’s chest one last time.

“I love you, Christopher.”

He returned her embrace.

“I love you too, Evelyn.”

In that moment, time seemed to freeze. The two Thorndyke siblings held each other in one final goodbye. Neither were truly ready to let go, but the time had come to part ways. As Chris strapped himself into the rocket seat, an empty chair behind him, Eve walked up to the door one last time with a smile.

“Tell Mom and Dad, Ella, Chuck, Tanaka…and all my friends that I said goodbye. And tell them ‘thank you’...for everything.”

“I will.”

The scientist pressed the button to close the rocket’s door.

“Eve…”

It was a quiet goodbye, but one not lost on the girl. She wanted to return it, to show her gratitude that he’d acknowledged her as she truly was in their final moments together.

But it was too late. 

The rocket released a burst of chaos energy, launching high into the air. Eve felt one foot glide in front of the other.

Tap.

Then another.

Tap. Tap.

Before she knew it, she was running after him, waving as she forced herself to keep up.

Tap. Tap. Tap. Tap.

The human girl ran through the rolling green hills of Mobius, her hair as golden as the risen sun gliding gently behind her like a cape as she fought with all her strength to keep up. Flickies and Pockies dotted the shining road she raced upon, watching curiously as each foot pounded the soft earth beneath. She gasped for air with each step, sweat flying from her small figure and glistening like the morning dew. 

TAPTAPTAPTAPTAPTAP

Her foot hit a small rock, causing her to stumble.

“AH-!!”

But she didn’t fall.

SHOOOOM!

“-!!?”

In a sudden gust of wind, the girl with the golden hair was swept off her feet safely in the arms of her dearest friend. She looked up at him, her turquoise eyes meeting those of a deep emerald as she sought the words which eluded her.

“Sonic…I-I-”

“I’m here. Let’s do this…together.”

Tears flooded her eyes as she watched him smile warmly, a smile forming along her lips as well.

“Right!”

With that, Sonic raced onward with his friend tucked safely in his arms. The two of them caught up to the rapidly ascending ship in no time, waving and smiling at the man above. He looked out the window, smiling back at them tearfully as he remembered approaching the hedgehog yesterday, making sure his intentions were clear this time so as not to cause another bout of panic.

“Sonic…I know what happened between you two back on Narcissus’s ship.”

“Y-You do?”

“Yeah…I was able to track how the fake emerald energy was responding to your rage. Then Eve showed back up on the ship with those burns…”

“...”

“Sonic…I don’t blame you for what happened. In fact, I came here to ask you for a favor.”

“What kind of favor?”

“My sister…please…watch over her for me…”

“Huh? W-Whaddya mean? Isn’t she going home with you?”

“You and I both know that her home is here. Sonic, I never saw her more alive than when she was with you. When you left all those years ago, it was as if she left too. A part of her died back then and I could never hold her back from living the life she deserves.”

“And what kind of life is that?”

“A life where she can be free…”

“Chris…Why would you trust me with her safety? After everything that happened-”

“Because I know you care about her more than anyone else. You’re also the greatest hero I know.”

“But I’ve made terrible mistakes!”

“It isn’t about that!”

“Then what is it about!?”

“You have a heart more pure than anyone else I’ve met. You just have to see it. I would have no one else watch over my precious little sister.”

“Chris…”

The older Thorndyke sibling shed a few tears as his mind returned to the present. He placed a hand gently on the window overlooking them.

The two friends shouted in unison as they continued racing along, “GOODBYE, CHRIS!!!”

Chris smiled, waving at them once more before he began to fly out of sight.

The Hero of Mobius slowed his pace as he came to the cliffside near the ocean, lowering the human in his arms to the grass beneath their feet. She continued to shout, waving as the ship flew higher and higher still until, inevitably, it became a speck in the distance. Her hair shone brilliantly like the sun beaming upon the gentle waves. Soon, a couple glimmers of light caught near her eyes as her smile faltered. She began to tremble, trying with all her strength to hold herself together.

“G-Good…Goodb-bye…b-brothe-”

She fell to her knees, releasing a resounding wail into the warm air surrounding them. Her cries echoed beyond the cliffs, bouncing off the vast ocean as blue as the sky and friend by her side. Fat tears rolled down her cheeks, no longer able to be contained. Where once she would have been glad to be rid of Christopher Thorndyke, she now mourned the loss of her dear, loving brother. 

The Blue Blur watched her sadly in this bittersweet moment. He then looked out once more beyond the shining road at the vast, endless blue of Mobius’s sky.

“Please, Sonic…Promise me you’ll look after Eve…”

Sonic shed a few tears as he placed a hand to his chest in determination, smiling at the ship as it disappeared beyond the stars.

“I promise, Chris.”

SONAMY ongoing evolution

I've been playing Sonic frontiers and I watched Sonic prime and I read the IDW comics... Omg where's do I start???

Sonic frontiers is just a work of art in general, but the sonamy inside is just beautifully portrayed, I can say that Ian Flynn totally ships them 😌😌. I'm just so utterly happy how things had changed even if it took so many years

Sonic changed a lot his perception of Amy! 🥲🥲🥲 Also the detail of the umbrella line, remember that sonic was created in Japan, say fellow anime fans what does usually means when two characters share an umbrella? What does it mean when students in Japan draw an umbrella in the blackboard with two names written under it? It is clear that Ian Flynn totally knows the meaning and the MUSIC! Seriously those scenarios with Amy and that music felt like it came right out of a shojo anime😖😖😖💗💗

But also the feels... THE FUCKING FEELS!! The way Amy is kind of too calm with her situation but Sonic is just so worried and you could tell how worried he was even if he tried to play it cool... His expressions girl... Look at him with his cute ears dropped 🥲🥲🥲 Guys this game fed us good stuff... We shippers finally got what we had always wanted.

Next topic: Sonic Prime.

So I'm a bit conflicted, cause i only liked one of Amy's different designs and that was Thorn Rose, I'm obsessed with her hair but dude Rusty Rose? That could have been better... Also why Rusty Rose and not Metal Rose? Cyborg Rose? Badnik Rose? Mecha Rose? Robot Rose? Rusty sounds a bit degrading... It is because she was made like that by the Egg council? Pff also her robot appearance is just so ugly! What with that eye? But I love the dark concept and I love her SASS 🤣🤣🤣🤣Anyway my problem with Rusty Amy and Sonic is that it feels like the situation is not treated nearly as serious as Nine situation and boy ok you are a hurt loner with bully victim issues but Amy is basically dead, like there's no flesh or organs in her, she literally has a Birdy as a source of life and what is the outcome of that? Is there another outcome different from Gamma's fate in sonic adventure? Because the second Amy gets back her emotions she will want to release the bird... But more importantly... I can't wait to see Shadow react to her... This is the girl that reminded him of Maria, i really shouldn't but I really have high expectations for what kind of interaction will they have, we really need to see Shadow and Amy interact more let's be honest. As for the other Roses, there's no much to say about Black Rose but with Thorn we got good stuff too:

But I have to say one thing... Ok I know Amy is a strong power character but... It's a bit ridiculous that she could fight off characters like Rouge and Knuckles THAT EASY is just...🙃🙃🙃 Well i loved the part when he tries to reason with her all like: you liked me... A bit? Remember? And she is just so irritated and done with him already 🤣🤣🤣 but then... We also got this:

Actually touch her cheek you COWARD!!😤😤 Also when he was about to smash her and but stopped because he has a flashback of his Amy 😭😭😭, it's curious that Thorn Rose seems to be more impactful in Sonic than Rusty Rose which is ok but is odd plot speaking, after all Rusty is the one in the worst condition and is the one hunting him down, I'll just wait for next season and see what happens

And last but not the least I Shall say something about THIS!!

This illustration hit me right in the kokoro, date with hands holding and Sakura petals... is pure shojo manga energy!! I'm so blessed 😭😭💗💗

And of course the important reminder that Amy is a POWER CHARACTER and that's why she and knuckles make a good POWER SIBLINGS team as I stated in their own post about them... And dear Silver fucking gave her a COLOSSAL hammer 😂😂😂do not mess with the pink hedgehog buddy, and of course Sonic knows exactly how awesome she is as it should be, seriously she is really getting better and better, i really hope we'll see her in the next movie

New character charts!!!

They're here!!! The only new info is in the charts themselves btw, the long text under this is the same, except very minor changes. I just thought it would be better than having to go to the old charts to read all of this.

Emmie: She's now officially the one and only Tube Baby of the group!!! I imagine Tails will later use the big fucking tube in his lab, just not for any of the kids in this group (here's three posts about it: First, second, third).

Just to quickly mention it, her full name is Emily, however, everyone in her life just calls her Emmie, because, according to her, 'it goes with her vibe' (first talked about here + in universe explanation here).

She has Black Arms DNA, and although it's uncertain how it affects her, they (Emmie and her dads) know she has green Black Arms blood (shown here) and has access to the hivemind, which as a baby she used to communicate with Shadow (here), but as she grew older she stopped using it, and now finds it harder to access to it.

She also, of course, has Chaos Energy. She can perform Chaos Control (in this one) and turn Super (that second thing they don't know until she's a teenager, shown in this comic). She also has all the abilities Sonic and Shadow share (such as spindash).

Sparks: Like I've said before, Sparks is a Belly Baby, Blaze carried (here's context).

Sparks has fire powers, similar to Blaze's, though they find it a bit harder to control. They get Blaze and Espio's help to learn to use said powers, since they require a lot of concentration. Also, again, like Blaze, they can turn into Burning Sparks (here), but that form is more unstable and drains their energy pretty fast.

I am also taking this space to clarify this about the entire family (including Tulip). Since Blaze is a princess, Amy, Sparks and Tulip do acquire royalty related titles, however, they're very informal and don't hold that much power, since Blaze didn't want them to have any responsability simply because they're related to her. So they're royalty just by name.

Lash: Another Belly Baby, your local surprise baby representation.

Like is said in her chart, her main ability is acrobatics. She also has some sort of super speed but she doesn't rely much on it.

It's not said in her chart but she has both mommy and daddy issues and is often at Aim's house. The first time she stepped into that home and Tangle and Whisper welcomed she immediately felt glued to that family (here).

She also has two younger siblings, Strike and Decay (post introducing them here), and at first she didn't have that much of a relationship with, since they're younger than her and closer to each other, and since Lash spends a lot of time away from home, however, she eventually steps in and tries to be a part of her siblings' lifes as their parents' should've been.

Aim: I finally decided that he's also a Belly Baby, mostly because the timing didn't add up, since him and Emmie are the same age and there's only one Baby Making Tube.

Like it says in their chart, he does archery, which is his main fighting technique, however, during battle they also use their tail to move around faster (otherwise he just keeps it under his cloak) and teams up with Whisper's wisps in very rare occasions.

He does not speak, unlike Whisper who simply speaks quietly. Aim doesn't speak at all, but everyone around him eventually just finds a way to understand him (because I think it's funny). He very usually is the braincell carrier of the group.

Bria: Bria's a Belly Baby as well, it just felt like something Sonia would want.

They don't have any special ability, but they did learn martial arts as a way of self defense, consdering the group of people she often is surrounded by.

Even though Bria's hard of hearing, his biggest passion is music (over being a hero). She plays piano and guitar.

He's also the extrovert of the group. The loudest and friendliest there is. (Should I also add they're Emmie's cousin?)

Tulip: I was a bit more indecisive with him, but in the end I decided to also make him a Belly Baby, because otherwise it felt weird for that to be the one thing he has in common with Emmie. (In-universe explanation here!)

He hasn't shown any special ability yet -he's the youngest of the group though, being only ten years old-, so he isn't allowed to be around the other kids when there's danger, however, he's very sneaky and often gets things to work in his favor anyways. He does have an interest in tarot though, thanks to Amy, and he also shows to have an impressive intuition.

When he's not around Sparks he is often found next to Big, probably complaining to him about something.

Destiny: One and only Code Baby!! She's basically made from the same programming as Nicole, but more advanced and sophisticated.

Being an AI herself, she can hack robots and similar things, which helps during battle. They can also get into anyone's computer if they want to (they rarely do).

She usually takes the leader role very naturally, immediately making a plan on the spot and guiding the rest of the group. However, she's quite shy (even while being an extrovert. This forms a bit of a problem for her, wanting to be around people but being too shy to do it). Her more confident side mainly showing when assuming the role of the leader. She has great friends tho, who encourage to speak up and lead:]

Spades: She's a belly baby just because of the timeline, there simply wasn't a way without changing her age to make it make sense for her to be a Tube Baby -and I like her being 16-. Unfortunately I backed myself into a corner here JSKDJSKFJWKFKS I don't have many details on how she came to be because, guess what!! There's no real way for her to be the way she is the way I want it to happen:]]] So let's just use our imagination and say that it's possible for two amab people to have a kid who's biologically related to both of them because this is a world where magic color changing hedgehogs are a thing so this isn't super crazy, okay? Okay.

Like I said in this post, Spades has trajectory manipulation, so basically she will never miss her target, and can move away whatever is thrown at her, so that's pretty handy:] She also trains with Espio, so she has a lot of his abilities. She doesn't really want to be a ninja but has many of the skills.

She's the mom of the group!!! And the braincell carrier. She is very sweet and caring, but also quiet and calculating. Her strategy is the best, and her stoic appareance makes her look a bit threatening, but she's actually a total sweetheart!!

Also about swimming!! She really likes it because she finds it relaxing. You can't hear anything underwater so she likes to close her eyes and just swim around.

She gets along with everyone in the group, but is usually hanging out with Aim and Lash:)

Sonic IDW 67 was pretty good, I liked it a lot. No Surgeamy hints unfortunately, and the imposter siblings getting hired by Clutch instead of being a third party's kinda lame (though I'm betting there's a good chance they'll end up rebelling against him). Something I did like a lot was Surge's attitude throughout the whole thing:

Despite seeming like she'd be a terrible actor, she sells it wonderfully by not trying to avoid suspicion. She knows Sonic and co. will be suspicious of her no matter what, so trying to act all buddy-buddy with them would probably make them way more confrontational about her and Kit's intentions. The attitude she instead chooses is less "I've had a change of heart, I want to be a hero and change the world now" and more "Yeah living in Starline's old shack blew chunks and we knew you suckers were dumb enough to let assholes like us live here if we asked, so here we are" which is much more believable (and for good reason, as that's basically the truth of their situation give or take a couple important details). Throughout the entire tour she's constantly pestering Sonic about how letting them in was a bad idea, saying stuff like "Man you've really built up a nice place. It'd be a shame if someone burned it down". When he brings up introducing Surge and Kit to Whisper and the rest of the Diamond Cutters and Amy says that might not be the best idea, Surge's response is basically "What? No, I'm sure Sonic knows exactly what he's doing, this'll go fiiiiiiiine. C'mon big shot, let's see you try to sell them on me, this'll be fun."

Her scene with Whisper was especially interesting, I loved it. The last interaction Surge had with Whisper was beating the shit out of her and kidnapping all her wisps to use as living batteries, so she knew Whisper'd be the most distrustful of anyone there (further increased by the fact that she's much less forgiving than all the other resistance members in the first place). Surge handled the seemingly impossible task of getting Whisper to even slightly trust her the best way possible: make no attempt to do that at all, and in fact tell her she shouldn't. Upon hearing Whisper's flat out refusal to accept Surge and Kit's redemption, Surge bursts out laughing, hands her her wispon, and goes something like "Finally! You're the first one to show a little sense around here! The rest of these schmucks would trust a bear trap if it looked sorry enough for snapping off the first leg, but I can tell you wanna kill me right here and right now. I like you. Here's your gun, if I stay here you could aim it at the back of my head as long as you want. I don't blame you. I encourage you." I love this bit of writing, and it's a genuinely brilliant strategy from Surge, going "You're a lot smarter than everyone else here for wanting to kill me, if you let me live in your base I'll be really easy to kill if you want to." is probably one of the few ways on earth to convince someone who wants you dead to let you live very near them. Also, through flattering her on her superior sense of reason, Surge subtly makes Whisper like/trust her just a tiny bit more, and I feel like she could slowly but surely build onto that more and more until she eventually ends up winning Whisper over. I'm sure her and Kit won't be "undercover" for very long but if they were really in it for the long haul I could totally see that happen. Maybe she inherited Sonic's natural ability to make friends with even one's worst enemies, except she goes about it in a much more fucked up way.

Finally, I really liked the one moment of hesitation Surge has upon hearing that the Resistance wouldn't give her and Kit a single order if they didn't want them to. Though she fully came with the intention of maliciously taking advantage of Sonic and the rest of the Resistance's kindness, she hesitates upon hearing how far that kindness goes. In Surge and Kit's eyes, there hasn't been a single person in their life who doesn't see them as

A: Dangerous targets to kill, or

B: Powerful tools they can use to use to their advantage.

Hell, they know that even the partnership they're in at that very moment with Clutch is an example of B and they still accepted it. But then, for the first time in their life, they're offered a home of their own with a solid roof and good food, rehabilitation and reintroduction to the rest of society, an actual normal life for the first time they can remember, all of it for nothing in return on their part. Amy tells them the Resistance helps everyone in need out of the kindness of their hearts and (though they always appreciate more volunteers) not a single person is required to anything to repay their help, it's all free. For a brief moment you can see Surge drop the shithead mannerisms and genuinely consider the proposition. Her internal monologue isn't shared with the audience, but I imagine it must be very conflicted. She then regains her composure and moves on with the tour as before, but I imagine that moment's gonna affect her heavily in the issues to come, and I'm very excited to see how that plays out.

Anyways, good issue all around, can't wait to read the next one.

Imagine tails feeling guilty and like they’re forcing themself to do it because he accidentally let it slip that he wanted them too. And because sonic, shadow and knuckles are quite touch avoidant and even Amy who is usually quite affection is more about words of affection rather than touch. So whenever they start to do it tails starts to pull away or makes up an excuse to leave.

And it devastates tails because he’s been longing for this for so long but he feels guilty because he feels like they’re making themselves uncomfortable just to make him happy

Of course all four of them are probably quick to shut it down

YEAHHH YEAH YEAH YEAH

he starts keeping an eye out for them and when they start giving cues they're gonna nuzzle him he suddenly has to go build a bomb for the next fight or something..

so the pincushions end up cornering him one day and it's just a big nuzzle pile. tails has no choice but to get nuzzled by his big siblings, they don't care how many guns he needs to build

they're a little worried that they're being too pushy and so tails timidly explains why he's been avoiding them,, it's not because the sudden touching is overwhelming-well it is overwhelming, but in the best way possible-it's because he feels bad. like, they're doing something they don't want to just to make him happy

but they DO want to. they want to show this kid they love him so so so much no matter how they have to. and if that gives them an excuse to snuggle their softest brother then that's just a bonus

Holiday Revelations (Finale)

Trudging through the snow, down the long streets wasn't his idea of a good time. But after the way he treated Haley earlier, and his talk with Sonic he realized how awful she must be feeling right now. He knew she was with Amy in her apartment which wasn't so far from his lab. He was just happy when he saw that pink car in the parking lot, and quickly flew up to the level above and climbed onto the balcony. Shaking the snow off he peered into Amys window to see the two having hot coco, and laughing! Well least Amy was a good host he thought to himself.

He gave a soft rap on the window which made the two Jump, with the Vixen looking away with a sad look in her eyes. Amy jumped to her feet and opened the door with hands on her hips. She was always so judgmental as she gave him such a staredown.

" Finally come to your senses? hmph! i outta toss you off that balcony you know! "

Mils winced as she yelled at him and fidgeted with his scarf and nervously smiled at Amy. Clearly she was furious, and maybe she had every right to be. Plus he did just fly up here---maybe he should have used the door.

" Ah--- i just, i wanted to apologize... and maybe, talk with her if... she's willing. "

Amy just gave a look back to Haley as if to ask if she was ready to talk or if she wanted more time. But the Vixen nervous as she was only nodded as she needed to hear it as much as miles did. Maybe they both needed to say alot but, no matter what the end result she'd have her answers soon enough.

Tails brushed the snow off his fur, and made his way inside the little apartment. He sat down across from his sister, lost for so long and now found. He was a little surprised when Amy set some hot coco down in front of him. He was thankful as he was still cold as fuck! but more then that he didn't even know where to start. No that was easy an apology---and from there? Figure out what she wanted from him if anything. Find a start for there relationship what ever it might be.

" I ... I wanna say i'm sorry for earlier. I was just--- Kind of in shock, and a little mad at myself. I spent a decade looking for my mother and father... but i never once considered a sibling...i guess i didn't know how i felt..."

" I was always so angry at being abandoned... tossed in the trash because of my tails. Or maybe it was something else... but Sonic, Amy, Knuckles... my friends made my life worth living. Seeing you... i was reminded of a past i wanted to forget--- But i know you were every bit as hurt as i was. I'm sorry i made you feel that all over again. "

He sighed and reached over to place his hand on Haleys

" I don't know if you came here just for closure, or if you needed my help... but what ever it was you were looking for. I'll do my damnedest to make you feel welcome... "

The Vixen fidgeted at the touch as part of her was still hurt by how he treated her. But then, she couldn't entirely blame him could she? She showed up out of the blue. Crashed his Winter Solstice party and expected him to just welcome her with open arms. It was logical he'd have concerns and even shock from it all. But she wasn't even sure what she wanted either. Closure? A clue to there past? but sounded like he was every bit as clueless ass she was.

" I don't really know ... I've been looking for some clue to my real parents for years. I always come up empty... so when i found these papers about you and i being split up. It was the only connection to my past that i had. I guess i just... wanted to meet you, maybe... just find some connection... "

She fidgeted with her tails as she was still so nervous

" We've lost alot of time Miles... but i'd like to try and make up for that lost time... maybe just talk? "

Miles gave Her a soft smile and nodded his head as he sunk into that chair with the hot Coco. His eyes met his sisters and for the first time in a long time. He felt rather content, and safe...

He had a sister... that was something to be happy about!

" OH MY GOSH! THIS IS SO--- AH I'M SO HAPPY FOR YOU MILES! "

That was the best gift he could ask for that Holiday. In a year of pain, and secret plans. Of lost hopes and dreams dashed. He found something he'd lost...

A Sister... he might never get use to the idea... but it seemed, she was here to stay.
