The drinks flowed, the music was infectious, still you couldn’t enjoy it, not even a little. Not when you could see them in the distance speaking on the balcony.

You knew Miguel would never let you go. He never let anything go. Once you were his, you were always his; that was just the way things were. Miguel was like a tattoo, the kind you couldn't see but stained your soul and etched your bones. You didn’t love him. Not anymore. You wouldn’t even be working for him if you had a way out.

You knew Benjamin took Miguel aside to talk business, but you couldn’t help but wonder if your secret was out. You were so careful, but Miguel did have eyes everywhere. You tried to busy yourself with a conversation over drinks, but all you could think about was that balcony, and what the two men in your life were talking about. All you could do was wait, and not make yourself obvious by looking at them.

You knew the risks involved. You weren’t foolish. There was a price for being Miguel's girl, a price for being his ex, and a price for falling in love with Benjamin. You held no regrets, maybe about Miguel, but if it wasn’t for Miguel, you would have never met Benjamin.

Benjamin made you remember the kind of shit you used to dream about before you got involved with Miguel. A warm home, a family, love - they weren’t foolish dreams, you weren't asking for too much. It was your right to have those things with the right person.

even though its great that indie animation is on the rise, it honestly concerns me that so many people hear "indie animation" and expect 22 minute episodes with smooth animation and expensive/popular VAs.

It kind of reminds me of when Webtoons became popular and then all of a sudden its userbase expected fully colored comics with 50 panels to come out every week. And you couldn't take a break for more than two weeks or else they'd complain.
