Another thing. I don’t follow anyone on social media. I don’t use IG, i don’t use anything except for tumblr. So i have no idea whether anyone has said anything about Tommy’s (and Lou’s) departure.
But if they haven’t, from a solely marketing standpoint, this is fucking insane.
This is not just the n-th character brought in to be a LI. This was a character that already existed in the universe.
It’s a character - and an actor - that was respected by the audience and the cast. Kenny Choi - that with JLH is probably responsible for 90% of the stuff we love in 911, let’s face it - was incredibly supportive of Tommy and Lou. Hell, he went out of his way to say that he was happy to finally see Buck with someone he actually cared about for once. Tracie Thoms was super supportive.
He was included in videos and reels and what the fuck ever that compared Bucktommy to Klaine.
This is the worst fumble they’ve ever had on screen. This is worse than the S6 finale.
They have the time to make it a gotcha thing and bring back Tommy and pretend that that was the plan all along, but the trust the fans and the general audience had is lost forever.
Good luck, 911. I hope that when you crawl on your knees to beg Lou to come back he has a good negotiator in his corner. He’s the one with the power now.

Okay, some Glee discourse, because it's been a while ::
@lilacdaisyrose mentioned in a comment :: I’m so shocked that Ryan Murphy actually revealed that!! Also, I’ve always wondered (sorry kinda related), at the time was Adam quite a big thing in the Klaine fandom? To me I find Adam so confusing because there’s so little character development and I always wish there was even a bit more, but also wonder why they introduced him if they weren’t going to really add to his character? 🙂
Okay. So. There are a lot of components to this. In order to understand the whole Adam thing, you kind of need to have the context of what was going on within fandom at the time.
The short version (because this deserves it's own psychological thesis piece) is that Kurt Hummel had a huge fan base that had been fractured into many different sub fandom groups, all of them centered around shipping him with different characters. But mostly the big divide was between people who liked Kurt with Blaine and people who didn't.
[This whole sub culture fandom thing is so fascinating, and I really should write up a giant master post about it some day.]
So, we got wind that Adam was coming some time around Christmas (And, I mean, originally his name was Paul, and it was Paul's Peaches. I wonder why that didn't clear Fox Standards and Practices, huh.) And so the Anti-Blaine Kurt Stans got a hold of this info and just raaaan with it. Like, it did not matter who he was or what kind of character he was -- he was not Blaine and that's ALL that mattered.
So, Adam became a thing before he was even a thing.
A couple of things happened, though. First of all, like usual and typical, the Klaine fans (and I mean, I'm not even getting into the sub culture of Klaine fan divides either, because that is another post) began harassing everyone - including the actor, which, you know, made him a little cold (understandably). He did one interview attempting to insinuate that his role was important, but it definitely bristled and I don't think it was his best PR move, but that was lower compared to all the rest of the nonsense going on.
The big thing that happened was that Adam's first song -- the remix of Baby, Got Back, was tied up in some legal issues. Basically, Ryan Murphy used the mix without crediting or even asking the person who mixed it if they could use it. Now, they got permission from Sir Mix A Lot (or whomever did that song originally) but then it got into some weird legal gray area stuff, and blew up in the media and left a bad taste in everyone's mouth. So the general audience soured on him pretty quickly.
On top of that -- there was a shit ton of stuff going on BTS -- Cory's addiction was becoming a problem, the network wanted to kill the show, the tinhatters were driving Chris to murder, like there are a bunch of layers of stuff going on that made all this complicated, and it all kind of results in Season 4 just being wonky on a lot of levels.
(Btw - do Kevin and Jenna talk about Adam at all? I haven't listened to the podcast in a long, long while, so I don't know, but my curiosity is piqued.)
But during that time, this was when the Glee cast was finally beginning to set some boundaries concerning social media, but Ryan Murphy was beginning to try to use it -- and he kept getting himself involved in fandom, and flying a little too closely to the sun. I do think Klaine was always where he wanted to go (because the actors (mostly Chris) did complain -- which, again deserves it's own post). But they were loud, and they were obnoxious about it.
No, Klaine fans did not like Adam. At all. They wanted him gone, and we wanted reconciliation. But the Anti-Blaine Kurt stans made Adam the measure of who Kurt's bf should be. They did not really care that Adam only had three episodes and very zero development and was clearly dropped like a hot potato because it's obvious Kurt still has feelings for Blaine because, you know, Kurt's sleeping with Blaine while this whole dating Adam is going on but...
It was just a mess.
The other thing you have to remember is that -- while this was live, we didn't get the chance to just watch quickly in succession and go onto the same thing. Those of us who were spoiled knew of this character for months before he appeared. And it was a whole fucking long time before Love Love Love finally closed the door on it officially. So while he was only around for those three episodes, the open endedness of it last a LOOOOONG time. And no one knew what was going on.
So the shipping wars, as usual, continued on and on and on.
I'm trying to think if I at all answered your question, lol.
Why did they create him? the tl;dr version is that since Season 3, they had Klaine (the now b-couple) mirror Finchel (the a-couple) -- prior to that Finchel was the b-couple and Wemma the a-couple, and Glee loved to do parallels with them. But Wemma really wasn't a thing much by season 4, and Klaine was much more popular, and my god they just loved having Kurt be Rachel lite sometimes that they're basically telling the same story with both couples.
So, Rachel gets a season long boyfriend only to wind her up with Finn again (only the cory stuff threw a wrench into that). So, clearly, Kurt needed to have one, too. But also -- they needed to have Kurt do something. They weren't going to put Klaine back together until sweeps week, or the finale because that's how network tv paced things back in the day. So Adam was just subpar character development.
I don't know what their original intentions for the character were. I don't know if they knew. I think they had their story up until 4x15 (overall) and then it got rocky because things with Cory were getting weird and it all just fell apart.
I do think, like Darren, the actor playing Adam got a three episode contract, and they wanted to test the audience's reaction. Clearly, it did not go well, and the added legal issues of the song just kind of made them sweep it under the rug all the faster.
Hopefully, some of my rambling made sense.
Maybe at some point in the future, I'll do an expansive history of the Kurt fandom series.
Or y'all can keep asking questions. What ever you'd like to do <3 lol

I agree somewhat with the first bit about what you said about the Lou interview, but the second bit I have to disagree with. As a masculine queer man (and as others have also said), we don't really get too much representation, a lot of gay representation is very stereotypical. Don't get me wrong, nothing is wrong with a gay guy being feminine or "stereotypical" because we're real people and real people vary in personality and interests, but when the only gay characters you see on TV are feminine (or in relationships one is feminine and one is masculine, because for some reason they always have to model gay relationships after straight ones), it can really get to you. It makes us feel "not gay enough" or hurts us to hear many men mocking gay guys because they assume we must be feminine (which again, they shouldn't be mocking feminine dudes either). Anyways as a queer dude I was super happy that there were finally a couple of queer men on TV in a relationship and they both happened to be masculine because I got to see myself represented for once. I would love to see more representation including fem4fem/masc4masc relationships and characters that are more fluid in their presentation. I don't think him simply repeating back what praises he's heard from queer fans is suggestive that he himself stereotypes gay men. And as for the first point, whilst I disagree with him a bit on that front, I'd like to give him the benefit of the doubt in that that might be his personal experience with queer media.
Anon, first of all, I want to thank you for being respectful about disagreeing with me. Though, having read this ask, I think we’re actually on the same page — my wording in the post you’re responding to just wasn’t as clear as it should’ve been.
I agree that masculine queer men are extremely under-represented in media, and that was what I meant with the “subverting stereotypes” comment. Queer representation in media is still very formulaic, follows a certain set of stereotypes. And for some people, they relate to those characters. Others don’t. Masc queer men don’t see themselves reflected on TV very often. I was talking to a friend of mine about this, and he said that the Bucktommy relationship was a breath of fresh air for masc queer men, that they were finally seeing themselves represented in a way that felt authentic and real.
Clearly, while talking about LFJ’s poorly worded comments, I worded my own comments quite poorly, too. Let me clarify. What I meant by that post was that, while it was poorly worded, I believe that LFJ was actually praising the show for portraying a masc4masc queer relationship — rather than following the same formula of, for example, Klaine in Glee, or Mitch and Cam in Modern Family, or even Tarlos in 9-1-1: Lone Star. I apologise that the post didn’t come across that way, and I apologise for any offense that I may have caused. That was never my intention, and I’m truly sorry if my post upset or offended you in any way.

in light of 911onABC posting this 911/Glee comparison:
Tumblr media
and including Jennifer Aspen! (Lorraine-911/ Kendra-Glee)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Id like to use this post as my pitch on how I think Ryan Murphy should create a 911/Glee crossover.
Should every glee character cross over? no. they’re all grown up, some of the characters clearly have a double life in 911. But out of all the characters, I think the only two who should crossover (whose actors has not made a new appearance on 911 as of yet) should be Blaine and Kurt.
Klaine was a huge ship for a tv show in 2009-2015 when same sex relationships wasn’t socially accepted yet. But Ryan Murphy did it anyways which lead to (helped contribute) a whole new community form (LGBTQ+) in a new light.
Now years later, here we have Buck and Eddie. Buddie, who lots of fans passionately want to see them be together. Now in an age where same sex relationships ARE socially acceptable, yet we’re just not getting this ship yet.
I think it would be cool to have Blaine and Kurt, years later- still married with kids- come in and somehow influence Buck and Eddie to make the final push to be together. (either purposely or by total accident.)
and of course, a song sung by Kurt and Blaine. obviously.

I’m in the mood for some holiday stories, so any Christmas klaine recommendations? Preferably where they are already together. Maybe even with kids?
Well, you are certainly early in your countdown to Christmas!! This is an easy ask to find fics for - as we have so many different 'bangs' over the years with Christmas fics written for it. Check out our Christmas tag for a large number of fics. Also these in our library:
Klaine Advent 2015
Klaine Advent 2016
Klaine Advent 2017
Klaine Advent 2018
And also these on A03:
Klaine Secret Santa Gift Exchange 2022 | Archive of Our Own
Klaine Secret Santa Gift Exchange 2023 | Archive of Our Own
They are not all Christmas fics, but many are.
Here are some:
A very hallmark Christmas by @coffeegleek
Semi-famous actor!Kurt and semi-famous actor!Blaine work the Hallmark Christmas Movie circuit in true B-actor form. Though they’ve worked on the same movies before, this time they land roles that could change their lives forever. Mostly happy fluff, but has some angst. This is Hallmark, so of course it has a happy ending. Many of my favorite tropes have been included: badboy!Kurt who really has a heart of gold and sweetness, famous!Kurt, famous!Blaine, actor!Kurt, actor!Blaine, soulmates, soulmarks, AU Glee, angst with a happy ending, and fluff. There’s also a heavy dose of cheesy Hallmark Christmas Movie writing in both the script and commercials. In true AU form, canon characters abound in various non-canon roles.
~~~~~
A Boyfriend for Christmas By @caramelcoffeeaddict CoffeeAddict80
When Kurt takes his 6-year-old nephew, Caleb, to see Santa, he's mortified when Caleb asks Santa to give his Uncle Kurt a new boyfriend for Christmas; Blaine - who is working as one of Santa's helpers - however, is eager to help Caleb get his Christmas wish.
~~~~~
The Christmas Guest by @lilyvandersteen
Kurt goes home for the holidays and finds out a fellow passenger will have no-one to celebrate with, so he invites him to spend Christmas with the Hummel-Hudsons. Somehow, Kurt's family thinks the guy he brought home is his boyfriend. As the days go by, and his Christmas guest proves enchanting in every way, Kurt finds himself wishing they truly were dating. Could his wish come true

Fic: Blessing (Spring/Summer 2012)
Fandom/pairing: Glee, pre-Kurt/Blaine
Event: December Klaine Fanworks Challenge 2023, day 19: assist
Words: ~ 1250 words
Rating: Teen and up
Summary: During his junior year of high school, Kurt receives a glimpse of his future through his patriarchal blessing.
Notes: This is part of my Mormon!Klaine universe and a new chapter in Small Things, which I thought I had completed in 2015. Back then, I wrote some notes around Kurt's patriarchal blessing, but it was too fragmented to include—I had a deadline for a fandom event, so I didn't have time to polish it up. On a chapter of Out of Eden I recently posted, @georgiegems asked about patriarchal blessings and why Blaine’s was so significant to him, so I figured now is the time to write that part of Kurt's story out. (This is NOT a spoiler for Out of Eden.)
You can read here or on AO3. The AO3 version includes what's here plus the complete text of Kurt’s patriarchal blessing.
-------------
“I’ve been praying about you,” Bishop Longquist says to Kurt one Sunday a few weeks after Kurt comes out. “I think it’s time you had your patriarchal blessing.”
A patriarchal blessing only comes once in a person’s lifetime. It’s a piece of personal scripture—a message from Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ to a faithful member of the church, delivered through an ordained member of the priesthood called a patriarch.
Kurt is caught off guard. He only came out to the bishop two months ago. The bishop was so loving and so understanding that Kurt felt prompted, a few weeks later, to confess what happened with Karofsky. That went well, too—maybe even better than Kurt wanted it to go. Kurt felt dirty and like he needed to repent, but Bishop Longquist said it wasn't Kurt’s fault, so he had nothing to repent of. Kurt knows what the bishop said made sense, but he still feels like there should be some kind of time requirement between getting kissed by a boy and receiving something so important as a patriarchal blessing. “Shouldn’t I wait a little longer?”
“The time to hear the Lord’s guidance for your life is now, don’t you think?”
“But I’m …” They’re in the hallway. A group of women stand outside the Relief Society room. Boys are filing past them in twos and threes to priesthood quorum. He lowers his voice. “My problem.”
Bishop Longquist smiles. It’s a sad, knowing smile, full of love and carrying the weight of the world with it because of that love. “You’re worthy, Kurt.”
A few weeks later, Kurt and Burt and Carole drive up to Toledo to where the patriarch lives. Kurt’s never met him before. His house is large, practically a mansion, and overlooking Maumee Bay. The patriarch’s wife is in a pink rayon dress with box pleats in the skirt. She wears pearls around her neck. She guides them to the home office and sets glasses of ice water on coasters that line the edge of the patriarch’s desk.
The patriarch himself has white hair, white skin, and a dark suit with an understated gray silk tie. He’s exactly what Kurt expected.
They sit on opposite sides of the desk, talking for a few minutes about school and Kurt’s longing to go on a mission. He can’t bring himself to let go of Carole’s hand, even though his own is raining sweat. Kurt skirts over glee club and doesn't mention his interest in fashion or the fact that he finds so much beauty in other boys. He’s not ashamed of being gay, exactly, but he doesn't want to arouse this stranger’s suspicions. It's not like God is likely to mention it anywhere during the patriarchal blessing—his gayness might be part of who he is on earth, but it's probably not part of his eternal character—so there's no need to bring it up at all.
The patriarch explains that the blessing comes from Heavenly Father, not from him. He is merely the vessel. He listens for God’s voice, which he occasionally hears in the form of words, but more often in the form of spiritual impressions. When he receives the impressions, he translates them into his own words, much like Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon from Reformed Egyptian, a language he did not speak, through the power of God. His wife will record and transcribe the blessing, and copies will be sent both to Kurt and to church headquarters. The church will make three digital copies of the blessing and store them in three different places, and a microfilm copy will also be preserved in a secure vault. That means that if Kurt ever loses his personal copy, or if his progeny in the future should like a copy, they can always get one from the church. Kurt can also make as many copies as he wants of the blessing he receives, so that he always has it on hand to study and to bring comfort to him. “But keep it out of the way of wandering eyes,” the patriarch advises. “This is personal scripture, and you should not let others read it outside your family. You may sometimes be prompted to share a general message from your blessing with another person, but when you do this, do not repeat the exact words or go into specific details lest they take it on as the word of God for themselves. No one can assist in interpreting another person's patriarchal blessing for them. If you have questions about what anything in your blessing means, pray to Heavenly Father for guidance.”
The patriarch says a short prayer, inviting the Holy Ghost to be with them. He asks Kurt to pray, too. Kurt’s so nervous, he has no idea what he says.
Then it’s time. Burt and Carole scoot their chairs back a little to give the patriarch room. The patriarch’s wife sets a digital recorder on top of the desk and makes sure it’s on. Kurt takes deep breath after deep breath, preparing himself for the moment the patriarch is going to lay his hands on him. Even after all these years in the church, he’s not quite used to people touching him at these intimate, spiritual moments. His body wasn’t wired that way—not unless it’s someone who knows him inside and out, like his mom and Dad and Carole, and sometimes Mercedes.
Kurt closes his eyes and bows his head, feels the warmth of the patriarch’s hands radiating near him before they actually make contact. They’re so warm, Kurt thinks of fire, and then The Spirit of God like a fire is burning! It’s the first line of a hymn Kurt’s been singing before he even knew how to read, and when the next lines follow—The latter-day glory begins to come forth; The visions and blessings of old are returning—he knows the Holy Ghost is already there with them in the room, in Kurt’s heart, witnessing that this blessing is from God.
Kurt feels the words more than hears them. The blessing gives him flashes of his past and his future: the safety of the preexistence, living beside his Heavenly Parents without fear or desire; the wise face of Ephraim, from whom he and his parents and the greatest tribe of Israel are descended, preserved until the last days to gather all the tribes of Israel together; the comfort of sitting in his mother’s lap when she was still alive, him so small and her so large and all-encompassing; a solid hug from his father; the sound of his shoes hitting the pavement as he walks alongside his missionary companion, an indescribable warmth in his heart; pink sunlight bathing the interior walls of temple rooms he’s only imagined but never seen; the squirming solidity of children in his arms, his children, when they come home for the first time; an unfamiliar yet comforting hand holding his, firm and loving, its pads fitting perfectly into the grooves of his own palm; a man’s voice—not his father’s, not the patriarch’s—a voice Kurt can’t place and yet feels like home to him, saying, “God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.”

Hello! For the writer’s ask game: 🍓 🍬 🌿 🏜️
🍓 ⇢ how did you get into writing fanfiction?  well I was introduced to fanfiction as a concept when my cousins and I started writing stories about a certain boy band in middle school and posting them to quizilla. I don't think I even encountered the word "fanfiction" while doing that; we just read and wrote stories about these band members, mostly about them being romantically involved with girls who were very similar to ourselves, but also putting them in other situations. I got into Glee fic specifically because of Klaine. I didn't start writing Glee fic until Blaine showed up and I started shipping Klaine; I don't think I really read any Glee fic before then either.
🍬 ⇢ post an unpopular opinion about a popular fandom character I mean, I feel like Glee has existed for long enough that every opinion has been said about every character. I guess what strikes me sometimes is how vehemently I hate Santana in the early seasons. She's such a favorite character of so many people, and I get why, especially as she gains depth and grows over the course of the show...but in the beginning she's just the worst.
🌿 ⇢ give some advice on writer's block and low creativity Oof, I mean, I haven't been writing lately, so...In my experience, if you're really determined to finish writing a story but you don't have ~inspiration~ for it, you can take sort of a technical approach by looking at the story structurally and figuring out what has to happen next to further the narrative (like, "then these characters need to have some type of falling out so they can be separated for a while. What could the source of that argument be? What are things in their personalities or backstories that could cause disagreement?"), instead of waiting for an idea to just ~come to you~. Another thing that's worked for me is that if there's necessary stuff that I don't feel like writing, I can just use temporary filler and come back to it. Like writing "[then they have a convo about the setlist before moving to the next scene]" or just doing the dialogue without worrying about speech tags and description of the scene. That will help me get the ball rolling again, and coming back later to add the details in feels less overwhelming than doing it all at once.
🏜️ ⇢ what's your favourite type of comment to receive on your work? much like @special-bc-ur-part-of-it, I love when readers pick up on themes or ideas that I'm trying to express in a story. Reading a comment and being like "omg you GET IT" is so gratifying. I also love when readers notice things in my writing that I wasn't even aware of - stuff that I might have subconsciously included, and by pointing it out the reader helps me understand my own story better.
Thank you!!

one thing (of many) that I hated about glee’s lack of consistent writing is klaines sex life. In season 2 Kurt is very understandably hesitant to have sex, like he’s been bullied, that can do a lot to your mental and physical health/how you perceive yourself/and make you very weary of the relationships you build that not only includes intimacy but also friendships(Kurt definitely needed better friends)but also in season one Sue pointed out a lot of physical flaws in not only Kurt but other characters, I forget what episode it is. In season 3 we of course have the first time Blaine and Kurt have built their trust in each other, they’re okay, and then the whole chandler thing happens, we learn they apparently HAVE A MAKE-OUT SCHEDULE, Kurt mentions they do sometimes have unscheduled make out sessions, but still it’s restrictive(which again understandable so, if Kurt is more comfortable that way amazing, like if Blaine agreed to that, he’s very patient, and understanding and I feel like that’s important) I really wanted them to specify what happened during these make out sessions, but based on what glee tells us it was most likely just kissing, but apparently Blaine (according to Kurt) doesn’t make Kurt feel special, so they lost that intimacy sometime after they had sex and Kurt entertained the attention he was getting from chandler that he wasn’t getting from Blaine, like Blaine doesn’t flirt with him that much, doesn’t send suggestive texts and so on. In season 4 Blaine cheats some debate why, if it was due to him being lonely(that’s what Blaine said) some think it was self sabotage, some thinks he was just bored, some thinks he just wanted to hurt Kurt, (one thing we can all agree on is this is when they should’ve permanently broke up)but the point is he seeked out physical affection instead of emotional(they basically reversed reasons for why they cheated/entertained other people that weren’t each other) then they break up, they are still talking but they’re not together, Kurt makes it clear at the play, then sectionals come, Kurt calls, he’s missed Blaine as a friend, Blaine’s hoping they can work out, even visits him during Christmas, they hookup at the wedding (which is so crazy considering the tested episode, but I won’t say much on that) but they don’t get back together until season 5. Meanwhile in season 5 they have throwaway lines like Blaine saying something about how the curtain thing was stupid and they could hear everything their roommates did, and who knows what they’ve heard from Blaine and Kurt, which to me means they were having sex regularly. Then a couple(not even) episodes later Blaine is just so insecure about his life and body he doesn’t want to have sex at all. Instead he watches porn which to Kurt is very disrespectful to their relationship, they even have a public fight about it where Kurt attacks him with a fencing sword. But they talk again about they’re relationship and they could eventually work on that, but they have this big fight and break up. In season 6 they make it seem like Blaine and Kurt were not having sex, like barely, (their whole relationship) they even make Santana point it out, which that whole scene just…is weird. The way they framed the whole scene was odd, because they basically were saying Kurt is this boring sexless person that Blaine maybe secretly resented and that’s why he cheated/they didn’t work out. But yeah the lack of consistency and dates(like the s5 one is just crazy, I can’t even keep track of ages anymore) can be blamed for a lot.

4. top 5 fics by kudos
Not So Dapper, Dare, and This Isn't Love all tie for first place with 171. Then there is Chance at 164, I'm Never Letting You Go at 157, Don't You Dare at 150, and Don't Tell Me What You're Thinking at 144.
On FF.Net (by favorites) its The Thoughts I Can't Deny at 163, The Unspoken Rule at 120, A Strange Realization at 142, Icy Love at 101, and Maybe We Can Be Okay at 93.
5. do you respond to comments? why or why not?
I certainly try! I'm always torn between giving hints and secrets and wanting to keep everything close to my chest so the closer someone is to guessing a big plot point or asking a question that I can't answer without spoiling, the less likely I am to respond. Which is why I'm better at responding on one shots, because there's nothing to spoil!
6. what is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Ohhhh, probably Say Your Name While Our Tongues Are Tied. There's probably a Blangst fic from back in the day that has a sadder ending, but they're usually at least hopeful. Say Your Name just feels very helpless, like it's hard to envision a world where anyone walks away from this situation happy, you know?
7. whats the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
A Place To Call Home, probably, even though I haven't posted it yet. The Thoughts I Can't Deny probably would have if I'd actually written an ending for it, lol. Tear Down My Reason is definitely very happy, and I Could Touch the Teardrops on Your Face is probably the sappiest ending.
8. do you get hate on fics?
I know I have in the past but I don't remember for what or why, which means it probably didn't really stick with me. And from what I do remember I think it was largely from people who didn't like the characters or ships I was writing about and would come to bitch about that and I'd be like, if you hate Blaine Anderson so much, why are you reading a Klaine fic? I do kind of remember a Kurtofsky shipper coming to complain about how "abusive" Blaine is and I was just like, sure, Jan, when you ship Kurt with the person who threatened to kill him, you definitely have a leg to stand on.
9. do you write smut? if so, what kind?
I don't as much as I used to and I actually tend to skip over it a lot. I've been much more into the emotional aspect and only really write the sex if I feel like it will add to the heart of what I'm writing.
But oh boy did I used to. And when I did it was pretty much exclusively D/s and kink stuff, and even when it wasn't there would at least be some form of powerplay or marking in an otherwise vanilla scene, just so my kinky brain would have something to latch onto.
10. do you write crossovers? whats the craziest one youve ever written?
Only on occasion? Like I'm currently working on a White Collar/Glee fic and a Magnus Archives/Hatchetfield fic. Aside from that it will be more like just an AU or inspired by a different media. So like, Sebastian Smythe is the flash, but other characters from The Flash don't really appear. Or my Mrs. Winterbourne Seblaine AU. Or the Spies Are Forever inspired Seblaine AU I have currently only managed to write 300 words in.
11. have you ever had a fic stolen?
I have. I remember someone turning the original Icy Love (which I still haven't crossposted to AO3, oops) into a Larry fic. And I know I've seen some of my stuff around any time there's a new website stealing things from AO3 and putting it behind a paywall. But at some point I got to lazy to care.
I did have a scare a litte while ago where I thought someone had stolen one of my fics because someone commented saying they'd read it under the username comewhattklaine before and I was like I have /never/ used that username before. I've used a lot of pennames over the years but never that one and I went absolutely crazy trying to find where someone with that username at stolen my fic. And then I realized that on my old Scarvesandcoffee account, I had used that name, but that website had been dead for so long i'd forgotten about it.
12. have you ever had a fic translated?
I feel like I have but I cant for the life of me remember what.
13. have you ever cowritten a fic before?
Yes! @itallstartedwithharry and I wrote Tear Down My Reason together. It was an absolutely incredible experience and I always wish that she had the time to write together again because we worked so well together. I was really good at word vomiting on the page and she was really good at cleaning it up and making it more coherent and actually sounding nice. Which is part of why I still ask her to beta for me on fics that are really important to me because she tends to just get what I'm trying to say better than I do sometimes. Like she's been absolutely incredible with betaing A Place to Call Home for me and I'm so glad to have her because she just makes me a better writer.
14. fave all time ship?
Okay. This one is complicated. Because Klaine was my otp to end all otps for so many many years. Klaine means the world to me, it was so incredibly important to me as a teenager and to me accepting my own queerness and feeling safe to come out to my mom (because we bonded a lot over shipping Klaine) and I have written hundreds of thousands of words about those two.
But Seblaine. Ohmygod Seblaine. I have reached a point in my life where my brain is more interested in the kind of stories those two can supply me. In this concept of quantum entanglement that will always pull them together but never ever let it be /easy/ for them. There's just some ways in which I think they're better for each other, I think in some ways they bring out the worst in each other, but that in turn allows to them to truly see the best in each other too. I think the tragedy of their story as it happened is beautiful and cruel. And I just want to explore every crevice of their brains and to never let them go. At some point, Klaine became too easy. They'll always get their happy ending (at least in canon). But Seblaine never will. And the art that can be made from a relationship like that intrigues me far more.
15. wip you want to finish but doubt you will?
Probably La Pute. Of all my old WIPs, it's the most likely to be finished (because I do have some pretty extensive notes on how the plot was supposed to go). But at the same time, that kind of fic that I loved to read and write when I was young (dubcon, noncon, slave fics, etc.) just doesn't interest me the way it used to.
If I were to psychoanalyze myself i'd probably say that my love for stories like that was deeply derived from my sexual repression and inner angst (largely driven by vast amounts of untreated mental illness) that I had no real life experience to draw from so I just used these dark dark stories as a way to try and release any of those emotions. But now as an adult I've lived through many traumas and general life shittiness and I can now find a release for my inner turmoil in writing about things more close to life instead of having to reach into that level of darkness.
16. what are your writing strengths?
Oh I don't even know. I think probably dialogue? That's what usually comes the easiest to me so it's what I would assume, but I'm honestly not sure.
17. what are your writing weaknesses?
I tell more than I show. Like I try to describe body language and expression in a way that isn't just "he shifted anxiously" "He looked pissed", stuff like that. But I'm just not great at it, so I tend to just tell the reader what a character is feeling more than anything else.
18. thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in a fic?
I'm always drawn to the idea of doing it, but I don't just want to like copy and paste the lines into google translate, you know? And I don't speak any other languages and most of the friends I have that do speak the languages I would want to translate lines into (namely Tagolog and French) aren't Glee fans, so I don't want to make them translate for me.
19. first fandom you wrote for?
Unpublished? Inuyasha/Naruto/Harry Potter/Bleach/probably some other things. I wrote a very extensive self insert fic when I was like 9 or 10 that involved all of those fandoms but it never even got typed up and I lost the binder I was keeping it in probably nearly two decades ago.
Published though it was definitely Supernatural.
20. fave fic youve written?
A Place To Call Home was such a long endeavor and something that was very important to me to finish and it means a lot to me to have finally finished it.
Maybe We Can Be Okay is probably one of my most well-received fics considering the dark content and complex themes. And I'm still really proud of it.
And then it's not out yet, but my fic for the I Want You Back day of 10 Days of Seblaine has been a very difficult fic to write but I'm really happy with how its turning out and I can't wait to share it with you all in November.

Sorry to talk about glee when you have mainly switched to Bridgerton. I just had some thoughts re Kurt and wanted to ask your opinion.
People seem to think he didn’t have a good friendship with Santana. Whilst I think they had their moments - especially Santana’s rant at him, I think overall she was supportive of him and wanted him to be happy, especially with Blaine. She certainly approved of the engagement and them joining her wedding, and never talked them out of being together.
People who don’t like Blaine like to think Santana didn’t either, when she mostly did, the only awkwardness was about Perfect or thinking he would get all the solos in season 3. To say Santana hated Klaine and would have been happy if they had split permanently is kinda just not right, imao.
This got me thinking that if certain characters had been around when Klaine split before season 6, those friends would have really tried to talk Kurt out of it - mainly Santana, Elliott, Mercedes or Sam. Season 6 just sits wrong with me because of this.
So. First of all. Guys. Seriously. This is a multifandom blog, and I'm really happy to talk about anything. And, I mean, just because I don't shut up about Bridgerton, doesn't mean I don't want to talk about Glee. Honestly, I'm one of those people who just collects new things and doesn't really let go of the old ones, hence the giant multifandomness of the blog.
<3 <3
Alright then. Kurt and Santana, canonically, become friends after they share their living space in Season 4. At no point after that do they stop being friends -- that includes the nonsense that went on during Season 5 with the Santana/Rachel fight. Kurt never took a side in that, and Santana really didn't have any beef with him.
Yes, Kurt fucked up by being an ass during the proposal -- especially since it was about him, and his own issues, and really nothing to do with Santana or Brittany. And Santana was right to call him out on it. (Now, as an aside, do I like her rant -- no, it was Ryan and Co's way of handling it, which was not funny, but she was within her right to call him out.)
That said -- it's weird that fandom takes these things and uses them as a black and white justification to define the relationship. Do people not get in fights with friends? Are people not doing any kind of conflict resolution with the people in their lives? Is everything really all sunshine and roses?
I don't understand why people hold fictional characters to way higher standards than their own relationships -- and I fear it's mostly because they want the text to fit the narrative they're trying to sell, in this case that Santana and Kurt don't like each other. When, you know what, they like each other fine. -- Do I think they're bffs? No, I don't. But I do think they like and respect each other and Kurt's one screw up doesn't negate all of that. Even Santana is fine after she's said her peace.
(I wrote up a whooooole thing about the Klaine and Brittana friendship where I go in depth about the different dynamics of the couples in relation to each other, I'll try to dig it up.)
Meanwhile, the people who don't like Blaine are going to find any reason to not like Blaine, and they're just wrong in their analysis of the text and even more so, they don't care that they're wrong because they want the story to fit their liking.
But ultimately, their opinion does not matter. Yours does, Nonny. Do you like Blaine? Do you like Santana? Do you want them to be friends? Even if they were dead enemies in canon, it doesn't matter. If that story means something to you -- then fuck what the rest of the internet says.
Going in a different direction, I'll preface what I have to say with -- I don't expect you to agree, nor do I expect you to feel better or worse about Season 6 because of this -- you are welcome to your opinions and feelings about it.
But... I think Kurt needed to take that journey. I don't think it was anyone else's responsibility to manage Kurt's feelings. If he wanted to break up with Blaine, that was his prerogative. And that's okay. So, even if his friends were around (and I'm sure at least Elliot was), it's not their place to push Kurt in any direction one way or another.
Thanks for the ask, Nonny! Always love hearing from you guys <3

Mid-July longfics recap (Klaine edition!)
So I read a lot of fanfiction and I thought it would be fun to review everything I’ve read twice a month! I’m in my glee phase right now (I often am) so this month it’s gonna be a lot of Klaine but obviously as I change hyperfixations it will be different! And I apologize for not having sources for these! They are all downloaded from the Klaine/ChrissColfer fanfic library on Tumblr and I upload them to my EPUB reader. Message me for the links to the files!
Go your own way -10/10
Heard about this through Brooke Averick’s podcast and loved it! Bad boy Blaine is so cute! Pretty famous Klaine fic, and I can see why. Some sad moments, some heartwarming moments. Possibly my favorite Klaine fic I’ve read. I even bought a physical copy from Amazon!
Mirrorball -9/10
Read this in a little under a day. Cute story, felt like the Klaine was a little too ‘Will they, won’t they” and I didn’t love it. The Finn-Kurt brother relationship was adorable, though. I also really liked the Sebastian storyline, even though I usually like it when Sebastian is a nice character (even though that’s OOC for him)
Welcome to dalton Kurt -9/10
Loved this one! I liked all of the Warbler’s being involved. Very heartwarming story, but a few questionable scenes I didn’t like. Otherwise this was cute and I like that they still included ND! Also some grammar slip-ups which isn’t awful but they throw me off.
Scarves and coffee -6/10
Overall not bad, just felt a bit all over the place. Good message though, and Kurt was written so well. I always love a good Kurtana friendship! Jeff + Nick dating is…questionable but I didn’t mind it? I wouldn’t read again but it was cute and I always love season 2 Klaine!
Speak to me -3/10
The writing wasn’t awful but it was extremely OOC and some parts of this made me so angry. Not to get too into it but some scenes were way too romanticized in my opinion. This is one of the first Klaine fics where I wished they didn’t end up together because Blaine was awful. This was a re-write so maybe I’ll read the original fic and see if I like it better.
