I definitely think it'd be really easy for Izutsumi to just be. Really fucking horny about Laios tbh. For him to pet her in some way that turns her on or for her to just generally register him as "potential mate" in ways the others don't. Maybe the touching sends her into heat on accident. . . . .

You know, I haven't updated my bg3 fic for three weeks because depression has been wreaking havoc on my ability to write (I also haven't played the game in that time because, again, depression sucks) but it's making me salty about posting in a big fandom all over again because it feels like, who cares, nobody's reading it anyway. I have posted 9 chapters so far and not a single comment. Out of all my (70) works on ao3, only five have zero comments: two are fanart, one is a poem, and one is an under 1k oneshot for a tiny fandom. Ravi's Journal is the only multichapter fic I've written that doesn't have any comments. And for a fandom where the top fic has 300+k hits, 200 hits seems pretty paltry, especially for a multichap. As always, I'm writing for myself, but to post in such a huge, active fandom and get this lack of engagement in response is disheartening. I love this game, but contributing to the fandom feels thankless. I"m tempted to not update out of spite, even if I end up writing more, just to see if anyone would ever take the time to say that they enjoy it and would like to read more.

hhhhh rarepair shipping problems. i'm in a fandom with a rarepair i ship and the fandom is so small that neither of the characters in the ship have *actual* character tags on ao3 the ship obviously has no tag

also another ship i like isn't really a rarepair but literally their only interaction is one basically just calling the other gay. i love them so much, i have 10000000000 headcanons of their gayness and internalized homophobia and things

convoluted au where the touden siblings get izutsumi as a pet cat or curio and they pet and fuss her so much and eventually realize their petting is making her horny - cut to two monsterlover siblings sharing their pet cat in heat together. maybe even coming inside just to see if she can carry a cross-species baby. just for science yknow

Ohhhh maybe an AU where they find her pre-canon or something, maybe she came with Shuro and ran away to be free? And she ends up with two weirdos who both give her independence but also treat her like a pet in the sense that they feed her and pet her whenever she wants?

I could see her being more affectionate with Falin like she is with Chilchuck and Marcille, accepting pets and affection a lot more readily, and being more open to affection from Laios than she is in canon. Izutsumi sitting on Falin's lap with Falin's hands stroking against her thighs and Laios standing over them both, running his hands against her face and neck as she purrs up a storm. . .

And it definitely escalates because she's just so fascinating and they're both so curious and none of them are aware enough of boundaries to realize how weird it's getting before they're tugging at her nipples and fingering her or even pressing her down to see if they can breed her properly.

OH MY GOD this is super late sorry but huntlow thoughts time!

When I first watched ASIAS i was Eh about the huntlow ship. This was the first willow centric episode since Understanding Willow and she was barely in the 2nd season.

I wanted Willow to get more character development without immediately giving her a love interest (especially the angsty character), and I didn't think that Hunter should be in a relationship. I was scared that the fandom would end up ignoring their character developments (especially willow's) for romance.

But as the show progressed, and I saw more and more fanart about them, i slowly warmed up to the ship.

I really liked how huntlow was handled in s3, even if the season was short. The way they ended up canon was nice as well, I was scared that they would just kiss or confess their love somehow but the handholding was just genuinely adorable.

Do I wish willow and hunter were given more time to develop separately and as a couple? Yes. But that's Disney's fault, and they did as best as they could

I like those ships a lot, and it's totally okay if anyone else doesn't, but the fact that even SPECIAL is getting hate means that I want more and more to stand in solidarity with those who are more forward about their "problematic" ship liking.
