i havent done any dnd stuff recently and goose & elk have a longer and spicier relationship than pestle & hibiscus

What was their last big fight? What did they learn from it?

They barely have big fights mainly bc it's usually Lulanna fighting with someone else and Hakon having her back, so it's more like Hakon tracking snow into the house and it melting and Lulu's paws getting wet which she hates. He promised to brush the snow outside

Related to Goose's warlock antics no doubt, or how he's also been spending much more time outside where Elk doesn't know what he's up to. Goose on the defensive. If anything then Elk got even more concerned when learning how unhinged his husband is getting

What good do they bring out in each other?

Hakon calms Lulanna down and she makes him all mushy and loving not just towards her but their kids too

Elk has helped Goose build a lot of confidence and he doesn't feel embarrassed about his habits and emotions in front of him, Goose has likely brought out Elk's nurturing side more and helped him relax a bit, c'mon hun you don't have to get that nervous about me crawling into coast tunnels during low tide

What struggle have they seen each other through?

Lulanna's been at Hakon's side when he's been annoyed at his royal family, Hakon had Lulanna's back when she was on trial for manslaughter

Goose's been a support through Elk's issues with his faith, Elk's been trying to help with Goose's loneliness

How do they express love for each other? Do they have compatible love languages?

Both are kinda handsy, lots of kisses but also grabbing ears or tail or pats on butt through the day. Both also enjoy quiet quality time but Lulanna's more on the move. If she's real happy though she'll just flop down next to him

Touch, hugs, holding hands, kisses, playing with hair and brushing it, cuddling and asking how the other's day has been. Bringing souvenirs and other little gifts, cooking for each other or together, Goose values quality time the most

What little things remind them of each other?

Furs, antlers, smell of dog, the rings they wear for each other

What habits or characteristics have they picked up from each other?

Hakon stomps his foot when annoyed bc Lula does it. She used to think he was trying to pick a fight with her but soon realized. He's started swearing more and she's started swearing less

Goose has become more organized and neater in general, has started to understand more what Elk sees in forests and appreciates them now a lot more too.

How do they react when the other is upset? How do they try to help?

Who do I need to kill/sic the dogs on. They do ask what they can do, usually the upset one just wants a cuddle and maybe a treat and they other will oblige. Bring a cracker or something. Tell a funny story

Elk has a very hard time seeing when Goose is upset and even if he notices and asks Goose will deny it. Hugs go a long way, usually it's just that he's lonely. Give him some attention. If Elk's upset about something Goose will at first believe he's at fault somehow, goes on the lookout for a shiny rock or a pretty flower or something and then asks about it

Do they believe in marriage?

They're married and happily so, but they would be fine if they weren't. They got married so Hakon would legally adopt Lula's kid and they would become nobles and enjoy the benefits

Yes, it's a nice reassurance for Goose also

Would they have kids together?

Ya, just gotta be mindful of the logistics when Hakon is like 8' tall and Lula's like 5'5''

They have very similar values, but Hakon is obligated to follow some rules that Lulanna thinks are stupid. Land is land. It doesn't belong to anyone. But, to make sure her husband doesn't get in trouble, she follows the rules

Goose is more selfish than Elk and sometimes thinks he gives too much of himself away to others but he doesn't say it because Elk is doing a good thing and helping others.

If they disagree, who's usually the one to compromise?

If they live together, how do they split household responsibilities?

Lula cleans underneath things, Hakon cleans up top. He also handles things that need heavy lifting, she's a pro at gardening.

Elk does the heavy lifting, Goose helps with cleaning and cooking and doing dishes etc., he also enjoys weeding the garden. Elk can shovel the snow while Goose handles sweeping the porch and stairs

What's different about their backgrounds? Do those differences affect the relationship?

Hakon's a noble (he's Fenrir's cousin) who however wasn't really welcomed into the court because his mom was an outsider and his wimp of a dad didn't defend her or their kids' honour, so he grew kinda bitter and when his mom left his dad she took the kids. So he's lived outside of court since his early teens. He did have good schooling, he's smart and educated, but kinda bitter towards nobility and nobles like his cousins. So he prefers to stay away. Lulanna's a country bumpkin from the forest, can read and write but doesn't really put them to use because she doesn't have to, rowdy little orchard thief, an anarchist, throws rocks at you. Surprisingly compatible, Hakon can use his nobility connections to keep her safe and both have a bitterness towards the castle.

Both are from loving families I think, but Goose kinda ended up growing up to an adult who didn't fit anywhere bc of his tendency to screw things up in stupid ways. He's got basic education but he's not big on reading either.

What was their first impression of each other?

Annoyed. Lula didn't like this dumb dogboy butting in on her fun and Hakon didn't like a silly rabbit out here bothering his dogs and trespassing.

Goose thought Elk was very polite and nice and he was nice back at him

How did they fall for eachother?

They had known each other for a bit, had calmed down from being annoyed, kinda crushing, Lula invited Hakon in and he met her baby. The baby didn't like anyone but then she liked him and Lula was like well goddamn I trust my baby's instinct

Running into each other in the forest by accident... going on a spontaneous walk... sitting down to watch the stars... talking and wondering... the stars sure are bright but not as bright as your eyes...
