Iâve been loving the Holiday Event so far! Iâd like to ask for Ramshackle, 6, Fluff if thatâs alright?
ending the event with skully!
Bewitched || Skully J. Graves
For the Holiday Event! || Prompt: "Say that again" ; Genre: Fluff
Skullyâs fingers animatedly traced patterns in the air as he spoke, his eyes sparkling with an almost feverish passion.
âAnd you see, the true essence of Halloween isnât just the decorations or the costumesâitâs the solemnity! The quiet reverence for the macabre! Jack Skellington understands this! The others⊠they donât. They simply canât fathomââ
You rested your chin in your palm, contently watching him pace back and forth. His voice, usually measured and elegant, rose in excitement as he delved deeper into his passionate diatribe about the perfect Halloween.
But then, without warning, he stopped mid-sentence. He glanced at you, an uncharacteristic hesitance softening his expression.
âAh⊠Iâve been rambling, havenât I?â His tone turned self-deprecating, his usual confidence faltering. âI must apologize. I wouldnât want to bore you or appear⊠insufferable.â
You blinked, caught off guard. âWhat? No, I was listening.â
âReally?â he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
âOf course. I want to hear more.â
For a moment, Skully didnât respond, his expression frozen in surprise. Then, slowly, his face lit up, brighter than youâd ever seen it.
âYouâŠâ His voice quivered slightly, a mix of disbelief and unrestrained joy. âYou genuinely wish to hear more? Can you say that again?â
You nodded, your smile widening at the way his excitement returned tenfold. "Tell me more, Skully."
With a delighted laugh, Skully reached out and grasped your hands in his. He brought them up to his lips, pressing a reverent kiss to your knuckles. âAh! What a blessing it is to have someone so understanding, so kind! Truly, you are a marvel among people!â
Your heart did an impressive somersault as his lips brushed your skin. It wasnât like you hadnât noticed Skullyâs dramatic tendencies before, but being on the receiving end was a whole different story.
As if oblivious to your rapidly reddening face, Skully continued holding your hands as he resumed his Halloween musings.
âNow, as I was saying, the ideal Halloween requires an ambiance of solemnity! Imagine, if you will, an orchestra playing a haunting overture while the moon casts shadows upon a pitch-black roomâŠâ
His voice flowed on, and you found yourself paying less attention to the words and more to the warmth of his hands over yours, the earnest gleam in his eyes, and the joy in his smile.
âSkully,â you murmured, your cheeks burning as he turned to you mid-ramble.
âYes, my dear?â
âMy hands⊠youâre still holding them.â
It took a few seconds for your words to register. His eyes widened, and he abruptly let go, his usual composure momentarily shattered. âOh! My sincerest apologies! IâI didnât mean to overstepââ
You laughed, cutting through his flustered apologies. âItâs fine, really.â
Skullyâs face softened, his lips twitching into a smile. âYouâre remarkable, you know that? To have someone who listens, who encourages me⊠It means more than words can express.â
The earnestness in his tone made your heart swell, and you reached out to clasp his hands again. âIâll always listen, Skully.â
His face reddened, but the grin he gave you was one of pure, unadulterated happiness. âThen I shall ensure my plans are always worthy of your attention, my dear confidant!â
And with that, Skully returned to his impassioned rambling, your hand still comfortably tucked in his as he spoke of solemn Halloweens and haunting overturesâeach word spoken with the joy of knowing someone truly cared.
he's still alive and lives in ramshackle btw, Yana told me herself

'Elloo! :D I saw your requests open, can I request some hcs or short imagines for the first, second, and third years, separate characters?? Or you can just do it as a single scenario with all the characters. They're (Their??) reaction when they've realized the things reader/Yuu had to go through starting from the very beginning ,when they first got transported to the school. Like, the shock of not being able to go home, new environment, the fear-- just the emotional and mental turmoil reader/yuu went through starting from the beginning.
Also, as time goes by it just gets worse and worse along with all the overblots and stuff that got reader/Yuu over the edge. And now the students kind of help?? Or at least try to soothe or comfort the reader I guess??
Does this make any sense?? I dunno :'D
I want me some angst hehe >:]
But if this is kind of too much then it's okii if you wanna skip this one, I love the effort you put into your writings! <3
I kinda just wanted to ramble and yap about this idea I had hehe
Toodles!
thank you!! and i'm sorry it too so long, but i hope you like it <3
They realise what you went through - All NRC + Rollo + Neige + Grim, Staff
Riddle Rosehearts
Riddle doesnât realize the extent of your struggle until much later, likely after witnessing you reach your breaking point. The way you bottle up your emotions reminds him of himself before his own overblot, and it fills him with guilt. He prides himself on upholding order, but he feels like he failed to notice the chaos within you.
âWhy didnât you say something?â Riddle asks, voice trembling as he stands before you, his normally stern expression soft with regret. He places a hesitant hand on your shoulder, unsure if he has the right to offer comfort after overlooking your pain for so long. âI⊠I should have noticed. Iâm sorry.â
Riddle dives into a methodical plan to ease your burdens. He takes on your academic concerns, ensuring your assignments are manageable and offering personal tutoring. When youâre overwhelmed, he insists you take breaks in Heartslabyulâs peaceful rose garden. While heâs not good at openly expressing affection, heâs steadfast, always by your side with words of encouragement and warm tea.
Trey Clover
Trey picks up on your struggles sooner than most, his observant nature allowing him to notice the small cracks in your demeanor. He doesnât pry but stays close, offering quiet support until he realizes youâre beyond your limit. His heart aches knowing youâve been carrying so much without asking for help.
âHey⊠you donât have to pretend everythingâs fine,â Trey says softly, kneeling beside you as you sit slumped in an empty classroom. His usual calm demeanor is tinged with concern. âIâve seen you pushing yourself too hard. Youâre not alone in this, you know.â
Trey becomes your sanctuary. Heâs the type to cook comforting meals for you, often sneaking you your favorite desserts. He encourages you to talk at your own pace, listening without judgment. Trey also ensures youâre surrounded by people who care, gently urging you to spend time with friends so you never feel isolated again.
Cater Diamond
Cater doesnât fully realize how bad things are until he catches you breaking down when you think no one is watching. The sight hits him hardâheâs used to wearing masks himself, but seeing you put on a brave face while falling apart reminds him of his own struggles.
âWhoa, hey, heyâŠâ Caterâs voice is unusually soft as he crouches in front of you, the playful lilt replaced with genuine worry. âYouâve been holding all this in, havenât you? Man, thatâs not healthy⊠You shouldâve told me!â
Cater becomes your cheerleader, using his energy to lift your spirits. He takes you on spontaneous outings, distracting you with fun activities and selfies to remind you of lifeâs lighter side. When you need to vent, heâs surprisingly patient, letting you talk without interruptions. His go-to phrase becomes, âNo filter, just let it out. Iâm here.â
Ace Trappola
Ace is the last to understand the depth of your pain, brushing off your struggles as stress until you finally snap. Seeing you cry or lash out leaves him dumbstruckâheâs not used to serious emotions and struggles to process it at first. But beneath his awkwardness, he genuinely cares.
âWhoa⊠I didnât think it was this bad.â Ace rubs the back of his neck, guilt clear in his expression. âLook, Iâm sorry if I made things worse. I didnât mean to. I just⊠didnât know.â
Ace sticks close to you in his own Ace-like way. He cracks jokes to make you laugh and distracts you with playful banter, but heâs also there for the serious moments. If youâre feeling overwhelmed, he drags you outside to play a quick game of basketball or to look at the stars, insisting, âYouâve gotta clear your head, or youâll go crazy.â
Deuce Spade
Deuce notices your struggles but doesnât know how to approach you about them. When he finally sees you crumble, it makes him feel like heâs failed as your friend. His protective instincts kick in, and he becomes determined to help you in any way he can.
âWaitâyouâve been feeling like this the whole time?â Deuceâs voice is thick with emotion as he looks at you, his fists clenched at his sides. âWhy didnât you tell me? I couldâve done something! Iâm supposed to have your back!â
Deuce takes your well-being seriously, to the point of overcompensating at first. He insists on walking you to class, carrying your things, and defending you against anything he perceives as a threat (real or imagined). Over time, he learns to provide quiet support, sitting with you during tough moments and saying, âWeâll get through this together. I promise.â
Leona Kingscholar
Leona is a perceptive man, even if he acts otherwise, but your struggles slip under his radar for too long. It isnât until he notices how youâve stopped rising to his teasing or how the light in your eyes has dimmed that the gravity of your situation hits him. It reminds him of his own sense of isolation, and the guilt gnaws at him.
âTch. You think youâre the only one who has to deal with this crap?â Leonaâs voice is gruff, but thereâs no malice in it. He sighs, sitting beside you under the shade of a tree. âYou shouldâve said something sooner, herbivore. Doesnât mean you have to carry it all yourself.â
Leona doesnât coddle you, but his actions speak louder than his words. He offers his presence, silently inviting you to nap in the botanical gardens with him when you need a break. If anyone dares to make your life harder, Leona handles it with a quiet, lethal efficiency. âRest up. Youâre not falling apart on my watch.â
Ruggie Bucchi
Ruggie notices your struggles quickly, but his initial reaction is to brush it off as normal stressâuntil he sees you genuinely hit your breaking point. It stuns him; heâs used to dealing with hardships himself but hates the idea of you enduring the same without support.
âOi, donât do this to yourself,â Ruggie says, his usual playful tone replaced by something softer. âYouâre not alone, yâknow? I donât let my people suffer in silence. Thatâs not how we roll.â
Ruggie uses his resourcefulness to lighten your load however he can. He sneaks you snacks, takes care of tedious tasks for you, and even makes you laugh with his sharp wit. When youâre overwhelmed, he shares stories of his struggles to show you that itâs okay to lean on others. âYouâve got me, okay? Iâll make sure youâre okay, promise.â
Jack Howl
Jack notices the signs of your stress early on, but he hesitates to bring it up, unsure if itâs his place. When he finally realizes how deeply youâre struggling, it stirs a protective instinct in him, and he immediately resolves to do whatever it takes to help you.
âYou shouldâve told me,â Jack says, his voice low and filled with regret. His ears twitch as he glances away, guilt etched across his face. âI couldâve helped. You donât have to do this on your own anymore.â
Jack becomes your steadfast support, encouraging you to exercise or go for runs to clear your mind. Heâs a calming presence, offering quiet companionship when words arenât enough. âYouâre strong, but you donât always have to be. Let me help carry the weight, okay?â
Azul Ashengrotto
Azul prides himself on noticing vulnerabilities in others, but your ability to mask your pain throws him off. When the cracks finally show, it shakes him deeply, reminding him of his own insecurities and the times he felt powerless.
âI didnât realizeâŠâ Azul murmurs, his hands wringing nervously as he looks at you with uncharacteristic vulnerability. âI should have seen it. Iâm sorryâfor everything. Let me help you now.â
Azulâs approach is practical and calculated, but itâs rooted in genuine care. He offers to take over responsibilities or negotiate solutions to ease your stress. When youâre overwhelmed, heâs unexpectedly tender, sitting with you in his VIP room and reminding you, âEven the strongest need someone to lean on. Youâve been there for others; let us be here for you.â
Jade Leech
Jade notices your struggles early but refrains from intervening, assuming youâll reach out when youâre ready. When he realizes how much youâve been bottling up, heâs surprised and slightly guilty for not addressing it sooner.
âMy, youâve been carrying quite the burden,â Jade says, his usual calm tinged with regret. âIt seems I underestimated just how much youâve endured. Forgive my oversight.â
Jade is a master of subtlety, offering comfort in ways that feel natural and unintrusive. He invites you on quiet walks through the woods, using the serene atmosphere to help ease your mind. When words are needed, he listens attentively, his soothing voice offering reassurance. âDo not hesitate to lean on me, should you need support. Iâll always be here.â
Floyd Leech
Floyd doesnât realize how bad things are until you completely snap, and even then, it takes him a moment to process that your outburst isnât just a temporary mood. Seeing you so broken flips a switch in him, his usual playful demeanor replaced with a rare seriousness.
âShrimpy, why didnât you say anything?â Floydâs voice is uncharacteristically quiet, his sharp eyes scanning your face. He pouts, but thereâs no mischief in itâjust genuine concern. âYou donât gotta handle everything alone, yâknow?â
Floyd sticks to you like glue, his unpredictable nature becoming a strange source of comfort. He drags you out for spontaneous adventures, insisting that fun will help you feel better. When youâre feeling low, heâs surprisingly gentle, wrapping you in a tight hug and muttering, âI gotcha, Shrimpy. Nobodyâs messinâ with you while Iâm here.â
Kalim Al-Asim
Kalim is always full of energy and positivity, so it takes him a while to notice the depths of your struggles. When he does, heâs devastated, blaming himself for not seeing it sooner.
âWaitâyouâve been feeling like this?â Kalimâs eyes widen, tears threatening to spill. âWhy didnât you tell me? I couldâve done something to help!â
Kalim does everything in his power to brighten your days. He showers you with gifts, invites you to lively parties, and insists on spending time together to lift your spirits. When he realizes that quiet support means more than grand gestures, he sits with you, holding your hand. âYouâre not alone, okay? Iâll always be here for you.â
Jamil Viper
Jamil is highly observant, and while he notices your struggles early on, he assumes youâre managing on your own until he sees how much youâve truly endured. It reminds him of his own bottled-up frustrations, and guilt eats at him for not acting sooner.
â...I shouldâve known,â Jamil mutters, his voice low and filled with regret. He rubs the back of his neck, avoiding your gaze. âIâve been through this too. I know what itâs like to feel trapped. Iâm sorry I didnât step in sooner.â
Jamilâs care comes in quiet, thoughtful gestures. He prepares your favorite meals, arranges peaceful moments away from the chaos of NRC, and ensures you never feel overwhelmed alone. âYouâve done more than enough. Let me take care of things for a while.â
Vil Schoenheit
Vilâs sharp eyes catch the signs of your struggles quickly, but he initially brushes them off, believing youâll overcome them like any challenge. When the full weight of your burden becomes clear, heâs horrified and deeply regretful for not intervening sooner.
âI failed to notice something so glaringly obvious,â Vil says, his tone laced with self-reproach. âThatâs not acceptableânot as your friend and certainly not as someone who shouldâve supported you better.â
Vil approaches your comfort with precision and care, determined to help you regain your footing. He insists on self-care days, encourages you to vent your frustrations, and teaches you grounding techniques. âYouâre stronger than you think, but even the strongest need rest. Iâm here for you, no matter what.â
Rook Hunt
Rook is attuned to the emotions of those around him, and your pain does not escape his notice. He marvels at your resilience but is deeply saddened that youâve been enduring so much without seeking help.
âMon cher trĂ©sor, your suffering⊠it pains me to think I let you endure this alone,â Rook says softly, his gaze earnest. âYouâve carried a weight that no one should bear by themselves. Allow me to lighten your burden.â
Rookâs support is poetic and heartfelt, crafting moments of beauty to remind you of the worldâs wonders. Whether itâs a bouquet of flowers, a handwritten letter, or a quiet moment under the stars, he ensures you feel cherished. âYou are not alone in this grand stage of life, and I shall remain by your side as your steadfast ally.â
Epel Felmier
Epel is initially too caught up in his own frustrations to notice the extent of your struggles, but once he sees you falter, his protective side kicks in. It reminds him of his own insecurities about being underestimated.
âAw, geez, why didnât ya say somethinâ?â Epel frowns, his voice uncharacteristically soft. âYouâre always lookinâ out for us, but ya never let anyone do the same for you. That ainât fair.â
Epel takes a straightforward approach, offering to help however he can. He sticks close, ensuring you never feel alone, and encourages you to vent when needed. âYouâre tough as nails, but that doesnât mean you gotta do it all by yourself. Weâre a team, remember?â
Idia Shroud
Idia is slow to notice your struggles, being so wrapped up in his own world, but when he realizes the extent of your pain, it hits him hard. He sees a reflection of his own struggles in you and feels immense guilt for not seeing it sooner.
âThis is my fault, isnât it?â Idia mumbles, his voice trembling. His hair dims as he nervously fiddles with his tablet. âI shouldâve⊠I donât know, paid more attention. Iâm sorry. IâI wanna help, if youâll let me.â
Idia comforts you in his own awkward way, creating a safe space where you can relax without judgment. He shares his favorite games, shows, and quiet moments, offering you an escape from the chaos. âYou donât have to be âokayâ all the time. Just⊠take it easy for now. Iâm here if you need me.â
Ortho Shroud
Ortho is one of the first to notice your struggles, his advanced sensors picking up on changes in your emotional and physical state. His concern is immediate, and he wastes no time in seeking to help.
âYouâve been so sad for so long, havenât you?â Orthoâs voice is soft, as he hovers close. âI wish I couldâve made you smile sooner. Iâm sorry youâve been hurting.â
Orthoâs comfort is warm and reassuring, filled with optimism and boundless energy. Heâs always ready with encouraging words, small gifts, or simply a cheerful presence to brighten your day. âYouâre not alone! Iâll do everything I can to help you feel better, okay?â
Malleus Draconia
Malleus has always sensed something amiss about your emotions, his acute sensitivity to auras making it impossible for him to overlook your struggles. However, he hesitates to approach, fearing he might overstep or worsen your burdens. When he finally understands the depth of your pain, he is both heartbroken and determined to help.
âYouâve been enduring this in silence?â His deep voice is laced with regret as his green eyes soften. âIf only I had been more attentive, perhaps I could have eased your pain.â
Malleus ensures you feel his unwavering support. He invites you for peaceful strolls under the stars, shares his favorite quiet spots, and reassures you with his calming presence. âYou are precious to me. Whatever darkness surrounds you, I will remain by your side until the light returns.â
Lilia Vanrouge
Lilia has lived long enough to recognize the signs of emotional turmoil, and it pains him to see you suffer. While he often masks his seriousness with cheerfulness, he doesnât hesitate to step in when he sees you reaching your breaking point.
âOh, little one, youâve carried such a heavy heart all this time.â His playful demeanor fades into solemnity as he places a gentle hand on your shoulder. âYou shouldnât have to face this alone.â
Lilia comforts you with wisdom and warmth, drawing on centuries of experience. He shares stories to make you laugh, cooks (albeit questionable) meals to distract you, and offers sage advice when youâre ready to talk. âLifeâs trials are harsh, but youâre stronger than you know. And if you need someone to lean on, Iâll always be here.â
Silver
Silver is observant despite his drowsy nature, and heâs one of the first to notice your growing exhaustion. When he realizes the extent of your suffering, he feels deeply remorseful for not acting sooner.
âI should have seen this sooner,â Silver says quietly, his tone filled with regret. âYouâve always looked out for others⊠I shouldâve done the same for you.â
Silver stays by your side, offering silent, steady support. He doesnât push you to talk but is always ready to listen when youâre ready. His calm demeanor helps ground you, and he often sits quietly with you under a tree or by a calm lake. âYouâre not alone. Iâll protect youânot just from danger, but from this weight youâre carrying.â
Sebek Zigvolt
Sebekâs initial reaction is frustrationânot at you, but at himself for failing to notice your struggles while being so focused on Malleus. His loyalty shifts into overdrive as he becomes determined to help you.
âYouâve been struggling this much, and I didnât see it?!â Sebekâs voice is loud, but thereâs a rare softness in his expression. âThat is⊠unacceptable. I failed you as a companion.â
Sebekâs attempts to comfort you are a bit clumsy but heartfelt. He insists on helping you with daily tasks and loudly declares his commitment to your well-being. Despite his rough edges, his sincerity shines through. âKnow this: I will not allow you to suffer alone any longer. You have my loyalty, now and always.â
Rollo Flamme
Rolloâs disdain for magic only deepens when he realizes how much youâve suffered due to the chaos and overblots of NRC. His concern for you is genuine, though itâs laced with anger toward the school and its culture.
âThis place⊠Itâs a cesspool of disorder and harm,â Rollo says, his voice cold yet trembling with suppressed emotion. âYouâve been caught in its web for too long. You deserve better.â
Rolloâs comfort is practical and protective. He tries to create a sense of normalcy for you, offering quiet, structured moments away from the chaos. His words are sharp but sincere. âYou deserve a life of peace and stability. If you canât find it here, Iâll do what I can to give it to you.â
Neige LeBlanche
Neige is quick to notice your distress, his naturally empathetic nature making him keenly aware of your struggles. Heâs horrified to think of you enduring so much alone and wants to do everything in his power to make you smile again.
âOh no⊠Youâve been feeling like this?â Neigeâs voice is soft, his eyes brimming with concern. âYou donât deserve to carry such sadness by yourself.â
Neigeâs comfort is gentle and uplifting. He sings for you, offers kind words, and encourages you to express your feelings without fear. âYouâre so strong, but you donât have to be strong all the time. Itâs okay to let someone take care of you for a change.â
Grim
Grim initially doesnât notice your struggles, his focus often on his own ambitions and mischief. When he finally realizes how much youâve been enduring, he feels both guilt and panic.
âHey⊠Youâre not okay, are ya?â Grimâs ears droop as he looks up at you, his voice unusually soft. âWhy didnât ya tell me? IâIâm supposed to be your partner!â
Grim becomes fiercely protective, sticking by your side at all times. He tries to cheer you up with his antics and insists on being your âemotional support boss.â âYouâre stuck with me, got it? So donât go actinâ like youâre all alone. I wonât let ya.â
Staff:
Crowley
Crowley prides himself on being the "benevolent" headmaster, but when he realizes how much youâve suffered under his careâor lack thereofâheâs struck by a rare pang of guilt. While heâs not one to admit fault outright, he becomes visibly uncomfortable with the weight of his oversight.
âMy dear, youâve been carrying all of this on your shoulders?â His dramatic flair falters for a moment, his usual exuberance replaced with awkward sincerity. âI⊠suppose I may have been a tad neglectful in ensuring your well-being.â
Crowley tries to make amends in his own roundabout way, offering resources, extended accommodations, or attempting to be more attentive (though his efforts are often misguided). âRest assured, I shall personally oversee that you are well cared for! You have my full supportâwithin reason, of course.â
Divus Crewel
Crewel is not one to tolerate weakness, but when he sees the toll everything has taken on you, his stern demeanor softens. Heâs the type to take immediate, no-nonsense action to ensure youâre taken care of.
âYouâve let it get this bad without saying a word?â His sharp tone is laced with frustration, but his eyes betray his concern. âPup, I thought I taught you better than to carry burdens alone.â
Crewelâs approach is practical yet caring. He insists you rest, brings you comforting meals, and ensures you know youâre valued. âYouâre stronger than you think, but even the strongest need support. Lean on me, pup. Iâll make sure youâre back to full strength in no time.â
Mozus Trein
Trein is a man of wisdom and observation. He likely noticed your struggles but respected your space, waiting for the right time to step in. When he realizes the full extent of your distress, he feels deep regret for not intervening sooner.
âI should have addressed this earlier.â His voice is steady but tinged with remorse. âYouâve faced more challenges than any student should. Itâs a testament to your resilience, but it shouldnât have come to this.â
Trein offers gentle guidance, providing stability and reassurance. He shares stories of his own trials and reminds you that even the hardest times pass. âLife is fraught with difficulties, but youâve shown remarkable courage. Allow others to help shoulder the burdenâyou need not face this alone.â
Ashton Vargas
Vargas isnât the most emotionally perceptive, but when it finally clicks that youâre struggling, heâs hit with a wave of guilt. He immediately shifts gears, trading his usual boisterousness for genuine concern.
âWhoa⊠I had no idea it was this bad,â Vargas says, his brows furrowed in concern. âWhy didnât you say something sooner? I wouldâve helped in a heartbeat!â
Vargas focuses on physical activity as a form of comfort, encouraging you to blow off steam in healthy ways. He also offers constant positive reinforcement. âYouâre tough, kid, but even the toughest need a break. Letâs get some fresh air and clear your headâyouâve got this!â
Sam
Sam has always been attuned to the emotions of others, so when he realizes the depth of your struggles, he feels a pang of regret for not stepping in sooner. His usual upbeat demeanor becomes tinged with quiet sympathy.
âWell, well⊠Looks like someoneâs been carrying more than their fair share.â His voice is soft, his usual grin replaced with a concerned expression. âYouâve been through a lot, havenât you?â
Sam provides comfort through small but meaningful gestures, like preparing your favorite treats or giving you space to talk. He reassures you with his calming presence and wise words. âDonât keep it bottled up, friend. Whatever youâre feeling, itâs valid. Iâm here to help you through it.â

And I Choose...
In which you pick the dorm you want to join
Part 1: Choose Us
Heartslabyul
You never thought youâd see the day when youâd be willingly moving into Heartslabyul, but here you were, standing at the entrance with your bags (and Grim, who was loudly complaining about the lack of a tuna fountain).
Riddle was the first to greet you, looking as composed as ever. âWelcome to Heartslabyul,â he said, hands clasped behind his back. His voice was formal, but the slight upward twitch of his lips betrayed his excitement. âI trust youâll follow the rules properly now that youâre part of this dorm.â
Before you could respond, Trey appeared beside him, looking far more relaxed. âWeâre glad to have you here,â he said with a warm smile. âI already saved you a slice of cakeâfigured youâd need a snack after all the chaos today.â
Bless this man. Truly.
âSay cheese!â
You barely had time to process Caterâs voice before you were blinded by the flash of his phone. âOh my Sevens, the new dormie vibe is immaculate! This is totally going on Magicam!â He snapped another selfie, this time pulling you into the frame. âAnd guess what? Iâm using my clones to make moving day a breeze! Youâre welcome!â
True to his word, Caterâs clones were already grabbing your stuff. You stared in disbelief as three Cater clones carried a single small bag together while laughing like they were in a cheesy sitcom. Efficiency clearly wasnât their strong suit, but at least they were trying.
And then there was Ace and Deuce. The moment youâd announced your decision to join Heartslabyul, the duo had erupted into what could only be described as the most uncoordinated, chaotic victory dance youâd ever seen.
Deuce was spinning in circles like he was trying to summon a tornado, while Ace alternated between bad breakdancing and finger guns pointed at no one in particular. âWe won! We won!â they chanted, completely ignoring the way Riddleâs eye was twitching in disapproval.
âYou know,â you said, watching them make absolute fools of themselves, âI think I made the right choice.â
Grim snorted from his perch on one of your bags. âYouâre surrounded by idiots, henchhuman.â
âMaybe,â you said with a grin. âBut theyâre my idiots.â
Savanaclaw
The moment you announced that youâd chosen Savanaclaw, chaos erupted.
Jackâs tail started wagging so hard it was like a propeller trying to take off. You half-expected him to lift into the air. âYou wonât regret it,â he said, his usually calm voice brimming with excitement. âWeâll make sure you feel at home here.â
Ruggie wasted no time grabbing you in a headlock and giving you the noogie of a lifetime. âI knew youâd make the smart choice! You, me, and all this bribe cashâdonuts for a whole year, easy! Youâre officially part of the Savanaclaw hustle now!â
âRuggie, I swear, if you ruin my hairââ
But the true shocker was Leona. At first, he played it cool, lounging lazily in his chair like your decision was no big deal. âHmph, took you long enough,â he said, voice dripping with fake indifference. But then, as if he couldnât help himself, the corner of his mouth lifted into a smug grin.
And thatâs when he pulled out his phone.
âLeona, what are you doing?â you asked, watching as he sidled up to you with the confidence of a king.
âTaking a picture. Gotta rub this in a little.â
Before you could protest, he snapped a selfie of the two of you. Then, with the smoothness of a man who knew exactly what he was doing, he took another.
One went to Vil. The other went to Malleus.
The captions?
To Vil: "Looks like I win. Stay beautiful, princess."
To Malleus: "Better luck next time, lizard."
You groaned, face burning. âLeona, was that really necessary?â
âAbsolutely,â he said, slipping his phone back into his pocket and smirking like the cat who caught the canary. âWelcome to the pack, herbivore.â
Despite yourself, you couldnât help smiling. Maybe Savanaclaw wasnât such a bad choice after all.
Octavinelle
The second you announced you were choosing Octavinelle, chaos descended faster than you could say âMostro Lounge.â
Floyd let out an earsplitting cheer and, before you could blink, scooped you up and tossed you into the air like a beach ball.
âShriiiimpyâs ours now!â he cackled, catching you before launching you up again like he was testing the room's ceiling height.
âFloyd, please!â you yelled, your life flashing before your eyes as you flailed. âI donât wanna meet the Great Seven this soon!â
Eventually, Jade stepped in, placing a hand on Floydâs shoulder. âNow, now, Floyd. Letâs not accidentally lose our new dormmate to an untimely accident. We wouldnât want to scare them away before theyâve even unpacked.â
Floyd, grumbling, set you down but kept a firm arm around your shoulders, as if daring you to second-guess your decision.
Jade, meanwhile, adjusted his gloves with a serene smile that somehow felt a little too sharp. âWelcome to Octavinelle,â he said smoothly. âItâs wonderful to have you with us. I assure you, youâll be treated with the utmost care here.â He looked way too pleased with himself, his gaze lingering like he was already planning your initiation.
Then there was Azul.
Azul looked like heâd just won a billion Madol jackpot. His eyes gleamed, and for a moment, it seemed like he was going to break into a little dance right there in the lounge. But then, with Herculean effort, he composed himself, clasping his hands and clearing his throat.
âWell, this is certainly a wise choice,â he said, adjusting his glasses like he hadnât just been doing mental cartwheels. âIâm honored youâve decided to join Octavinelle. Weâll make sure all your needs are taken care of.â
But then⊠he slid a very familiar-looking contract across the counter.
âOf course,â Azul added with a dazzling smile, âjust a small formality. You see, this document simply guarantees that youâll remain a proud Octavinelle student until graduationâoh, and a few other things.â
You stared at the contract hoping it might spontaneously combust. âAzul. I literally just joined. Can I have a minute to breathe before I sign my soul away?â
âNo rush, no rush!â Azul said, not looking remotely deterred. âTake your time. But, ahâdo keep in mind that signing sooner ensures the best possible benefitsâŠâ
As Jade handed you a drink (which you were very suspicious of) and Floyd draped himself over you, already talking about all the âfunâ youâd have together, you couldnât help but wonder if youâd just made a deal with the devil.
Still, as Azul's smug smile softened into something almost genuine, you decided it wasnât the worst deal in the world.
Scarabia
The moment you announced your decision, Kalim was on you like a whirlwind.
âYOU CHOSE SCARABIA!!â he yelled, tackling you into a hug so tight you thought you might pop like a balloon. Before you could even gasp for air, he was spinning you around the common room like you were some kind of trophy heâd just won.
âThis is AMAZING! Weâre gonna have so much fun! Parties! Feasts! Adventures! Youâre gonna love it here!â Kalim babbled, his infectious excitement making it hard to even feel dizzy despite the rapid spinning.
âKalim,â you wheezed, clutching his shoulders, âplease put me down before my life flashes before my eyes.â
âOh, right!â he said, gently setting you down with a sheepish laugh. âI got carried away. Iâm just so happy!â
As you tried to steady yourself, a much calmerâbut no less relievedâvoice spoke from behind Kalim.
âIâm glad you chose Scarabia,â Jamil said, his expression carefully composed, though you could see the faintest hint of relief in his eyes.
You blinked at him, surprised. âReally?â
âYes,â Jamil replied, crossing his arms and glancing away like he didnât want to elaborate. But after a beat, he sighed and added, âYouâre one of the few people here who keeps things balanced. With you around, maybe Iâll have a chance to stay sane.â
Your heart melted a little at his quiet admission, even as Kalim jumped in again, declaring heâd throw a party that night to celebrate your move.
âLetâs get food! Music! Oh, we should decorate your room! Jamil, can we hang up those golden lanterns I found last week? Andââ
âKalim,â Jamil interrupted, pinching the bridge of his nose but unable to hide the faint smile tugging at his lips, âone thing at a time. Let them breathe.â
You couldnât help but laugh at the dynamic, feeling a warm sense of belonging already. Scarabia might be a lot, but it felt like home.
Pomefiore
The second you announced your decision, Epel let out a laugh so sinister it wouldâve sent chills down a villainâs spine. âHA! TAKE THAT, EVERYONE ELSE!â he shouted, whipping out his phone to snap a selfie with you.
Of course, Rook popped into the frame with perfect timing, striking an overly dramatic pose as Epel sent the picture straight to the first-year chat. âVICTORY IS OURS!â was the only caption needed.
Before you could even blink, Rook had swooped in, bowing theatrically. âAh, mon cher, your choice has blessed us with the most magnifique triumph! Let us celebrate with a dance!â
You barely had time to protest before he twirled you around the room like you were in some period drama. His excitement was so contagious you almost didnât notice when he dipped you dramaticallyâuntil you felt yourself tipping back, only to be caught by Vil.
âHonestly, Rook,â Vil sighed, steadying you with all the grace in the world. âDo try not to give them whiplash their first day.â
He turned to you, his usual poised demeanor firmly in place, though the faint smile tugging at his lips betrayed his true feelings. âWelcome to Pomefiore,â he said, his voice soft, yet commanding. âYouâve made the right decision.â
You were about to respond when Vil, ever the perfectionist, immediately began fussing over your uniform. âHonestly, you canât be seen like this. Your tie is uneven, andâRook, stop standing there and help them adjust their collar properly!â
As Vil worked, meticulously fixing every little detail, you couldnât help but notice the gleam of satisfaction in his eyes. He mightâve been playing it cool, but there was no hiding how pleased he was to have you here.
Epel and Rook, meanwhile, had started arguing about who deserved the credit for your choice, while Vil made it very clear that it was his influence that sealed the deal.
And just like that, your chaotic new life in Pomefiore began.
Ignihyde
The moment the words âIâm choosing Ignihydeâ left your mouth, Idia froze like someone had yanked his power cord out. His hair flickered erratically, and for a second, you thought he might actually pass out.
âBig Brother? Big Brother!â Ortho shook him frantically, his mechanical arms making a soft whirring sound. âStay with us! They chose us! You canât glitch out now!â
Idia finally snapped back to reality, though his face was still pale, his hair sputtering like a dying neon sign. âW-Wait, what?! YouâŠchose here? Are you serious? This isnât like, a prank, right? Did Ortho bribe you?!â
âNo pranks, no bribes. I chose Ignihyde,â you said, trying not to laugh at his genuine bewilderment.
He blinked rapidly, processing your words. âB-But the PowerPoint⊠I thought it was way too cringe. I mean, I had like, fifty slides about food optimization! Whoâd find that interesting?! You were supposed to be like, âEw, no thanks,â and leave!â
âActually, I thought it was kind of cute,â you admitted, watching as his hair flared a bright pink.
âC-CUTE?! AAHH, STOP, YOU CANâT JUST SAY THINGS LIKE THAT!â He clutched his hoodie like his heart was going to short-circuit.
âBig Brother, calm down!â Ortho interjected, practically beaming. âThey chose us! Isnât this the best thing ever?â
Idia rubbed the back of his neck, his gaze darting anywhere but at you. ââŠSo, uh, do you wanna, likeâŠcelebrate or something? I-I mean, I know you probably have better things to do, b-but if you wannaâŠplay a game or something, thatâd be cool.â
You smiled. âIâd love to.â
Ortho let out an excited cheer and zipped over to hug you tightly, his arms surprisingly warm. âWelcome to Ignihyde! Iâm so happy youâre here! This is gonna be the best!â
As Ortho buzzed around you, already listing off all the things you could do together, you caught Idia sneaking a shy glance your way. His hair was still flickering pink, and he looked like he couldnât believe this was real.
You werenât sure what life in Ignihyde would bring, but if it meant seeing Idia like thisâflustered, happy, and maybe a little hopefulâyou knew youâd made the right choice.
Diasomnia
The moment you announced youâd chosen Diasomnia, Sebek practically burst into flames.
âOF COURSE YOU CHOSE DIASOMNIA!â he boomed, puffing up with pride. âItâs the only logical choice! With the Young Master here, there was no other dorm worthy of your presence!â
Silver chuckled softly at Sebekâs theatrics, stepping forward with a kind smile. âWelcome to Diasomnia. Iâm glad youâre joining us. Let me know if you need help moving your thingsâIâll be happy to assist.â
Before you could respond, Lilia appeared out of thin air, laughing like a mischievous ghost. âAh, welcome, welcome! Weâve been expecting youâŠor at least, I have. Let me go fetch Malleus so he can hear the good news himself!â And with that, he vanished in a puff of green smoke, leaving you blinking at the empty spot heâd occupied seconds before.
Malleus arrived moments later, his towering presence filling the room. His emerald eyes softened as they landed on you. âI heard youâve made your decision. Have you truly chosen Diasomnia as your dorm?â
You smiled up at him. âYeah, I chose Diasomnia.â
The way his face lit up was unlike anything youâd ever seen. His usual composed demeanor melted into something warmer, brighter. He almost lookedâŠgiddy.
âThis pleases me greatly,â he said, his voice rumbling with quiet joy. âCome. Iâll give you a proper tour of our dorm.â
You didnât even get a chance to answer before he gently ushered you forward, beginning the grand tour of Diasomnia. Lilia popped in and out of nowhere as you walked, adding bizarre and entirely unnecessary facts.
âAnd over there,â Lilia said, gesturing to a decorative suit of armor, âis what I wore when I once tripped and almost spilled soup on Malleus when he was a child. Ah, good times.â
Malleus sighed but didnât stop him. âThis area is the library. Feel free to browse the shelves at your leisure. I can show you my favorite tomes later.â
âAnd this hallway is where Sebek shouted for the first time when he thought Malleus was missing! Nearly shattered all the windows,â Lilia added with a grin.
You couldnât help but laugh, the whole thing feeling so surreal yet oddly comforting. Silver walked quietly beside you, throwing in the occasional useful tidbit, while Sebek followed behind, grumbling something about Lilia not taking the tour seriously.
By the time the tour ended, you felt strangely at home. The eccentricity, the warmth, the oddly familial atmosphereâit all wrapped around you like a cozy blanket.
Malleus turned to you, his expression soft but sincere. âYouâll be safe here. Iâll personally see to it.â
Lilia smirked. âSafe and well-fed. Iâll whip up something special to celebrate!â
âPlease donât,â Sebek muttered, but you just laughed, already feeling like you belonged.
Secret ending: Ramshackle
When you finally dragged yourself back to Ramshackle, you were met with Grim, lounging on the couch like he hadn't a care in the world.
"Well, henchhuman? Which dorm are we moving to? I hope you picked the one with the best tuna," he yawned, tail flicking lazily.
You slumped down next to him, groaning. "None of them."
Grim's ears perked up. "Huh? What do ya mean, none of them?!"
"I told Crowley to just fix the worst parts of this place. Iâd rather stay here. Everyoneâs so excited for me to join their dormâI donât wanna disappoint them."
Grim blinked at you, then shrugged like it didnât matter. "Eh, as long as you're still my henchhuman, I donât care. Besides, this place has character! And by character, I mean itâs haunted, but still."
The next day, Crowley gathered the staff and shared your decision with them. Youâd half-expected him to brush off his promise, but to your utter shock, the teachers actuallyâŠpitched in.
Vargas showed up first, flexing dramatically. "Alright! Time to show these walls the power of my biceps! Iâll have this place sturdy in no time!" He started hammering away, though you were slightly concerned when he tried to patch a hole in the ceiling using a workout bench.
Trein followed, shaking his head disapprovingly. "This building is a historical relic, and it deserves proper restoration." He brought Lucius along, who mostly supervised by napping in different corners.
Crewel arrived next, snapping his gloves on. "Weâre not half-assing this. Ramshackle is getting a full makeover. And youâre going to help, pup. Start scrubbing those floors. Chop, chop!"
Even Sam surprised you by popping up with a toolbox and a grin. "Canât have my favorite customer living in a death trap, can I? Plus, a little investment in the neighborhood never hurts business!"
The repairs were chaotic but effective. You spent days dodging Vargasâ overly enthusiastic demolition attempts, enduring Treinâs lectures on historical preservation, and running errands for Crewel while he barked orders like you were a rookie in boot camp.
By the end of it, Ramshackle was almost unrecognizable. The roof no longer leaked, the walls were sturdy, and the floors didnât creak like a ghost was stalking you (though you were pretty sure the ghosts were still there, just quieter).
Grim looked around, nodding in approval. "Not bad, huh? Maybe this place isnât such a dump anymore."
You smiled, patting his head. "Yeah, itâs still home."
And as you settled back into your slightly less ramshackle life, you couldnât help but feel a little grateful. Sure, your dorm might not have been the flashiest or fanciest, but it was yours. And that was more than enough.

Choose Us!
In which you have to decide on a dorm to become part of.
Part 2: You choose the dorm
"You're serious?" you blink at Crowley, half-expecting Grim to wake you up from this fever dream. "I can move into any dorm?"
Crowley clasps his hands together with a benevolent smile that doesn't quite match his usual dramatic flair. "Indeed, my dear prefect! It's the least I can do to ensure your safety and comfort!"
Grim looks up from where heâs gnawing on a suspiciously burnt sofa leg. "Wait, what about me?!"
"Youâll go where the prefect goes, naturally," Crowley waves off Grimâs protests. "Now, chop-chop! Let me know your decision by the end of the day."
And just like that, he floats out of Ramshackle, leaving you standing in the middle of the chaos.
Heartslabyul
The second you hit send in the group chat, you regret everything. Ace and Deuce donât even wait for you to explain. Within minutes, theyâre barging into Ramshackle like the Kool-Aid Man.
âHeartslabyul!â Ace yells, grabbing one of your arms.
âObviously Heartslabyul!â Deuce hollers, seizing the other.
âI havenât even decidedââ
âBlasphemy!â Ace gasps, as if youâd just insulted his mother. âWeâre your best friends, how could you even think about choosing another dorm?â
Deuce nods fervently, dragging you toward the door. âHeartslabyulâs clean! Organized! Youâd thrive there!â
"And the desserts!" Ace adds. "Think of the desserts!"
Before you know it, you're shoved into Heartslabyulâs rose garden, where Riddle is waiting with the most extravagant tea party setup youâve ever seen. Thereâs a towering cake, delicate pastries, and enough tea to drown Grim.
âI thought you might need proper refreshments while considering your options,â Riddle says, adjusting his posture like he isnât secretly trying to sway you. âOf course, I have no preference where you go. Iâm merely concerned for your well-being.â
Trey hands you a plate with the biggest, most immaculate slice of cake youâve ever seen. âYouâd fit right in here, you know,â he says kindly. âWeâre all about structure and care⊠and good desserts.â
"Plus," Cater slides in with a grin, âimagine all the cool pics we could take together! #DormGoals, am I right? You and me chilling in Heartslabyul, like, all the time?â
Riddle clears his throat loudly. âThis isnât about favoritism, mind you. But if you were to choose Heartslabyul, youâd be part of a dorm that values discipline and respect for the rules.â
Ace nudges you with a smirk. âIgnore him. Just think of all the times Iâll sneak you extra tarts.â
You glance around at the hopeful stares. Grimâs already halfway into a tart he snatched off the table. âI feel like Iâm being ambushed.â
âOh, you are,â Ace says shamelessly.
Savanaclaw
You stumble out of the Heartslabyul tea party, feeling like youâve consumed enough sugar to fuel a small country. Before you can even catch your breath, a shadow looms over you, and suddenly, you're hoisted into the air like a sack of potatoes.
âWhat theâJACK?!â you squawk, flailing as he throws you over his shoulder like you weigh nothing.
âYouâre coming with me,â Jack grunts, completely unfazed by your protests. âYou need to see why Savanaclaw is the best dorm for you.â
âI can walk, you know!â you huff, punching his back.
He ignores you. âNot fast enough.â
By the time he sets you down, youâre in the middle of Savanaclawâs common area, where Ruggie is lounging on one of the couches, counting a suspiciously thick wad of cash. Leonaâs sprawled out nearby, pretending to nap, though his ears twitch at the sound of your arrival.
Ruggie grins as soon as he spots you. âAh, perfect timing! I was just telling Leona how we could totally use someone like you here. Right, boss?â
Leona cracks one eye open and yawns, his tone dripping with disinterest. âTch. Donât care. They can do whatever they want.â
âThatâs funny,â Ruggie says, nudging Leona hard enough to make him growl, ââcause I distinctly remember you sayingâand I quoteââIf they donât pick Savanaclaw, everyone else can rot.ââ
Leona sits up, glaring daggers at Ruggie. âI said no such thing.â
âSure you didnât,â Ruggie snickers before turning back to you, his grin as wide as a hyenaâs. âAnyway, check this out. Leona generously donated some funds to help you... you know, see the light.â
He shoves the wad of cash into your hands. You blink at it. âWhat am I supposed to do with this?â
âWhatever you want! Snacks, clothes, bribes for your annoying friends in HeartslabyulâŠâ
Leona groans and drags a hand down his face. âYouâre making us look desperate.â
âWe? Speak for yourself, Your Highness.â Ruggie winks at you. âHeâs just mad âcause he doesnât know how to be subtle.â
Leona slouches further into his seat, watching you through half-lidded eyes. âLook, Herbivore, if you wanna be around people who wonât coddle you, Savanaclawâs where itâs at. We donât do tea parties hereââ
âObviously,â you mutter, thinking about the claw marks on the furniture.
ââbut weâll actually challenge you to grow stronger. You canât get that in the other dorms.â
Jack nods. âHeâs right. And weâve got the best training facilities on campus.â
Ruggie waves a hand dismissively. âYeah, yeah, trainingâs cool and all, but letâs focus on what really matters. Free snacks. Awesome vibes. Me.â
Leona rolls his eyes. âYouâre going to scare them off.â
You cross your arms, trying to ignore the way Leonaâs ears flick every time you shift your weight. âSo⊠are you guys going to bribe me with anything besides money and vibes?â
Leona smirks. âWhat, isnât my dazzling personality enough?â
Ruggie snorts. âOh, sure. Thatâs totally why people flock to you.â
You canât help but laugh, and Leonaâs eyes soften just a little, though he quickly turns his head like he doesnât care.
âIâll think about it,â you say, handing the wad of cash back to Ruggie, who immediately starts recounting it like youâve stolen some.
âBetter think fast,â Leona mutters, though thereâs the faintest curve of a smile on his lips.
Octavinelle
As you trudge back to Ramshackle, your brain still processing Savanaclawâs ârecruitment tactics,â a pair of arms suddenly wrap around you, lifting you clean off the ground.
âShrimpy!â Floyd crows, spinning you around like youâre a prize he just won at a carnival.
âFLOYD! Put me down!â you shout, flailing uselessly in his grip.
âNah, I got orders,â he says, grinning ear to ear as he hauls you off toward the Mostro Lounge.
By the time youâre unceremoniously deposited (read: still stuck in Floydâs arms like a glorified teddy bear), youâre face-to-face with Azul and Jade, both of whom look way too pleased with themselves.
âAh, perfect timing!â Azul says, standing up from his chair with his signature business smile. âWeâve been eagerly awaiting your arrival. Have a seat!â
âI would if Floyd let me down,â you deadpan, glaring at the tall eel holding you like a sack of seaweed.
âNah, youâre comfy,â Floyd chirps, tightening his grip as if daring you to try escaping.
Azul clears his throat, pulling out a scroll of parchment that looks suspiciously like a contract. âAhem. Now, as I was sayingâletâs discuss the many benefits of joining Octavinelle. For starters, we pride ourselves on being a dorm of intellect and resourcefulness. Here, youâll have access to unmatched networking opportunities, a plethora of unique beverages crafted by Jade himself, andâshould you agreeâmy personal mentorship in matters of⊠negotiation.â
He flashes you a grin that screams, This is totally not suspicious at all.
Jade slides a glass of something shimmering and iridescent across the table toward you. âI would be delighted to name you our official taste tester. Imagine the prestige of being the first to try all my⊠experimental creations.â
You eye the drink like it might explode. âDefine âexperimental.ââ
Jade smiles serenely. âYouâll find out.â
âDonât be shy, Shrimpy!â Floyd chimes in, shifting you in his arms so youâre now sitting sideways like some sort of royal guest. âYouâd have so much fun here. Weâve got good food, good drinks, and me.â
Azul adjusts his glasses, sliding the contract closer to you. âAnd, of course, weâve prepared a special position for you. All you have to do is sign right here, and Octavinelle will officially welcome you as our newest member.â
You glance at the contract, then at the three of themâAzulâs scheming smile, Jadeâs unsettling calmness, and Floydâs unnervingly enthusiastic grin.
âI feel like this is a trap,â you say.
âItâs not a trap,â Floyd says immediately, which makes you even more suspicious.
Azul leans forward, steepling his fingers. âI assure you, everything is perfectly legitimate. Now, shall we seal the deal?â
âOr,â you say, leaning back as far as Floydâs grip will allow, âI could not.â
Jade hums thoughtfully, handing you another drink. âAt least try the beverages before you decide.â
Azul smirks. âIâm sure a sip or two will convince you.â
You glance at the drink, then back at Azul. âIs this bribery?â
âItâs persuasion,â he corrects smoothly.
âSame thing.â
Floyd suddenly squeezes you tight, grinning down at you. âCâmon, Shrimpy. Just say yes already! Iâll carry you everywhere. Betcha Heartslabyul and Savanaclaw didnât offer that.â
You sigh, resting your head in your hands. This was going to be a long night.
Scarabia
You barely make it out of Octavinelle alive (or at least with your dignity and soul intact) when youâre immediately ambushed again.
âPrefect!â Kalimâs voice rings out, and before you can even process the sound, youâre being yanked into a whirlwind of color, music, and⊠is that confetti?
You blink as Scarabia's lounge comes into view, transformed into what can only be described as a full-blown festival. Tables are piled high with food, lanterns glow in warm hues, and cheerful music fills the air.
âSurprise!â Kalim grins, throwing his arms wide like he just gifted you the world. âWelcome to Scarabia! We threw a party just for you!â
âA⊠party?â you repeat, still trying to figure out how you got here so fast.
âYep!â Kalim grabs your hands, his golden eyes shining with pure, unfiltered excitement. âI thought, âWhatâs the best way to convince you to join us?â And then I thought, âA party! Everyone loves parties!ââ
Before you can respond, a plate stacked with delicious-looking food appears in front of you, courtesy of none other than Jamil.
âEat,â he says simply, pushing the plate closer.
âOh, uh, thanks?â you mumble, picking up a fork.
Jamil nods, then leans in slightly, his voice low and almost conspiratorial. âThis is just a taste of what Scarabia has to offer. Stick around, and Iâll make sure youâre well-fed every day. Properly fed.â
You pause mid-bite, noticing the way he emphasizes the word âproperly,â like he knows exactly how many instant noodles youâve been living off of.
Kalim, meanwhile, is still giving you the most devastating puppy-dog eyes youâve ever seen. âYouâll join, right? Weâd have so much fun together! And think of all the parties we could throw! Oh, and I can get you anything you want! Name it, and itâs yours!â
You glance between Kalimâs hopeful grin and Jamilâs subtle but persuasive bribes.
Jamil catches your hesitation and sighs, placing yet another dish in front of you. âLook, Iâll even help you stay on top of your work. Youâre clearly the type who needs someone dependable around.â
âHey!â you protest, only for him to raise an eyebrow as if to say, Am I wrong?
âPlease?â Kalim chimes in, practically bouncing in place. âItâll be so much fun! And I really, really want you to join. Scarabia would be perfect for you!â
You groan internally, stuffing another bite of food into your mouth just to avoid answering. Between Kalimâs overwhelming enthusiasm and Jamilâs quiet determination, youâre starting to think Scarabia might actually succeed in breaking your will.
Youâre doomed. Arenât you?
Pomefiore
You stumble out of Scarabia, clutching your overstuffed stomach and wondering how youâve made it this far without officially losing your sanity. Taking the long way around campus to avoid any more ambushes seems like the best ideaâyouâve had enough dorm propaganda for one day.
Or so you thought.
Youâre halfway through the forest, breathing a sigh of relief at the quiet, whenâ
âBonjour, mon cher trĂ©sor!â
You shriek as Rook appears out of thin air. Where did he even come from? Why is there sparkly lighting behind him? Is this even allowed?
âRook! Whatâwhat are you doing here?!â
âAh, I see you were clever enough to evade the others,â he says, ignoring your question entirely. âBut you cannot escape me, the hunter of beauty! Pomefiore awaits, mon ami!â
Before you can protest, heâs scooped you up bridal style and is sprinting through the forest with unnatural speed, his laughter echoing ominously.
âThis isnât fair! Youâre cheating!â you yell, flailing helplessly.
âAllâs fair in love, war, and dorm recruitment, non?â
You soon find yourself unceremoniously plopped down in the middle of Pomefioreâs lounge. Vil is waiting with his arms crossed and an unreadable expression, though the way his foot taps against the floor suggests heâs less than pleased.
âHonestly,â Vil sighs, pinching the bridge of his nose. âWas the theatrics really necessary, Rook?â
âAlways,â Rook replies with a wink.
Epel is off to the side, clearly trying not to laugh at your predicament while casually carving an apple.
âWell,â Vil says, straightening his posture and fixing you with a regal gaze. âIâve heard about this⊠situation of yours. Joining Pomefiore would be the obvious choice. After all, we are the epitome of elegance and refinement. It would be a privilege for you to stay here, and I might even be able to do something about your⊠appearance.â
You blink. "What's wrong with my appearance?â
Vil waves a hand dismissively. âNothing I canât fix. Consider it a favor.â
Epel, meanwhile, sidles up next to you, whispering conspiratorially âDonât listen to him. Heâs just tryna butter you up. But, uh⊠you should totally join Pomefiore anyway. Look, I brought you some fresh juice from Harveston. And this apple.â
You glance at the carved apple heâs offering. Itâs shaped like a little heart.
âEpel,â Vil scolds, glaring at him. âStop bribing them. Thatâs hardly dignified.â
âWell, itâs working, isnât it?â Epel shoots back, crossing his arms. âI just think we need someone whoâll actually get how hard it is to survive your routines. And they seem cool. So there.â
You feel your brain short-circuiting as Vil and Epel start bickering in front of you. Rook stands off to the side, watching with sparkling eyes like heâs witnessing a masterpiece.
Somehow, you feel like this is still less stressful than Scarabia. But only barely.
Ignihyde
You somehow manage to escape Pomefiore in one piece, though your mind feels like itâs been through a blender. Youâre determined to finally make it back to Ramshackle without incident whenâ
âPrefect!â
You freeze mid-step as Ortho zooms into view, his boosters glowing bright blue. Before you can even blink, he grabs your arm with surprising strength.
âIgnihyde is next!â he announces cheerfully, starting to lift you off the ground.
âWait, wait!â you shout, flailing. âI can walk! Please, Iâve been carried around like a stolen handbag all day!â
Ortho tilts his head, his LED eyes flickering. âOh⊠okay! As long as you promise to come willingly!â
You nod frantically. âI promise! Just no more flying, please.â
Satisfied, Ortho takes your hand and leads you to Ignihyde. The journey is mercifully uneventful, though you can feel your soul leaving your body as you realize whatâs waiting for you inside.
Sure enough, Idia is hunched over in the corner of the lounge, a laptop balanced precariously on a stack of game boxes. The moment you enter, the screen lights up with a title slide: âTop 10 Reasons Why You Should Join Ignihydeâ in bold, glowing text.
âOh, youâre here,â Idia mutters, adjusting his hoodie nervously. His hair flickers faintly pink at the tips. âUh, okay, soâyeah, uhâwelcome? Or whatever. Letâs, um, get this over with.â
He clicks to the first slide, which is an overwhelming wall of text filled with bullet points, charts, and what looks like a meme of a cat wearing glasses.
âReason number one,â Idia starts, stumbling over his words. âUm, weâre quiet? Like, no loud parties or annoying socializing. Uh⊠unless you count Ortho, but, uh, heâs not that bad. And you can play games as much as you want. Or watch anime. Orâuhâjust chill. Yeah.â
Ortho, standing nearby, nods enthusiastically. âIgnihyde is perfect for you! And Brother worked really hard on this presentation!â
You glance at Idia, whoâs clearly fighting for his life to make eye contact with you. He clicks to the next slide, which is just a stock photo of a cozy room.
âReason number two,â he continues. âWe, uh, have good Wi-Fi? Like, really good. You could stream in 4K if you wanted to. Not that youâd want to. Or maybe you would? Uh⊠I dunno. Anyway.â
His hair flickers a deeper pink, and he clicks to the next slide. Itâs a crudely edited photo of you and him standing next to each other in front of a glowing Ignihyde logo. Youâre not sure whether to be impressed or deeply concerned.
He glances at you, his expression oddly hopeful. âSo, uh⊠what do you think?â
You can feel Ortho practically vibrating next to you, his bright smile threatening to blind you. Meanwhile, Idia is trying (and failing) to look indifferent, but the way his fingers tap anxiously on the laptop betrays him.
âIâll⊠think about it,â you say carefully, not having the heart to crush Idiaâs dreams outright.
His hair sparks bright pink for a split second before he slams the laptop shut, muttering something about âoverheating processorsâ and âinput overload.â
Ortho cheers. âYay! I knew youâd see how great we are!â
You manage a weak smile, already planning your escape route.
Diasomnia
Youâre so closeâso, so closeâto finally making it back to Ramshackle when the universe decides to remind you that peace is but a fleeting dream.
âAh, there you are!â
You barely have time to scream before Lilia literally materializes out of thin air, grabbing you by the arm and dragging you into a swirling vortex of green light.
âWait, NOââ
Too late. Youâre already standing in the middle of Diasomniaâs lounge, disoriented and ready to file a restraining order against anyone with teleportation magic.
Malleus looks up from where heâs seated, eyebrows raising slightly. âChild of man? What brings you here?â
âGreat news, Malleus!â Lilia chirps, dropping you onto the couch like a sack of potatoes. âTheyâre choosing a dorm to transfer to, and we couldnât possibly let them pick anywhere but Diasomnia!â
Malleus freezes, his eyes wide with surprise, before his expression shifts into one of regal determination. He rises from his seat, his imposing height making you feel like a pebble in the presence of a mountain.
âIs this true?â he asks, his voice deep and serious. âYouâre choosing a new dorm?â
âUh, yeah, butââ
âThen it must be Diasomnia.â His tone leaves no room for argument. âHere, you will be protected. No harm shall come to you under my watch. AndâŠâ He pauses, his eyes gleaming with excitement. âI have a gargoyle in my room. A fine specimen. You would enjoy its company.â
You blink. â...A gargoyle?â
âYes,â Malleus says with absolute sincerity, as though thatâs the most convincing argument in the world.
Before you can process that, Sebek practically throws himself to the floor in front of you, bowing with the intensity of a knight swearing fealty.
âHuman!â he bellows. âYou must choose Diasomnia! To live anywhere else would be an insult to the Young Masterâs unparalleled grace and power! Surely, you can see this is the only logical choice!â
âSebek,â Silver mumbles from his spot on the couch, not even bothering to open his eyes. âMaybe let them decide for themselves.â
âBut, Silver!â Sebek protests, his voice trembling with the sheer force of his conviction. âThe honor! The prestige!â
Meanwhile, Lilia floats into view, holding a plate of⊠something. âDonât worry about dinner, dear. Iâve prepared a feast for you! Go on, take a bite.â
You stare at the plate. It looks like it might be alive. âIâm⊠good, thanks.â
âNonsense! You need to keep your strength up!â Lilia insists, thrusting the plate closer to your face.
Silver sighs, finally sitting up. âYou should just do what feels right,â he says, offering you a calm, reassuring smile. âDonât let them pressure you.â
You glance between Malleusâs earnest expression, Sebekâs passionate pleas, and Liliaâs⊠questionable cooking. Your stomach growls, but youâre not sure if itâs hunger or the beginnings of a panic attack.
One thingâs for sure: if you survive this day, youâre going to need therapy.
The sun is setting by the time you finally drag your aching body back to Ramshackle. The dorm looms ahead, creaky and crumbling, but for once, it feels like a safe haven compared to the dorm-hopping marathon you just survived.
As you step inside, youâre greeted by the unmistakable voice of your ever-demanding feline companion. âThere you are! What took ya so long? Iâve been waitinâ forever!â
Grim is sprawled on the couch, a can of tuna already half-empty beside him. He squints at you suspiciously. âSo? Which dorm are we movinâ to?â
You groan, flopping face-first onto the nearest piece of semi-clean furniture. âI havenât decided yet.â
âWhat?!â Grim squawks, leaping onto the armrest beside you. âWhat do ya mean you havenât decided? This is important! We gotta pick one where I can get the most tuna, yâknow?â
You tilt your head just enough to glare at him. âOh, sure. Let me just base my entire living situation on your snack preferences.â
Grim puffs up, indignant. âHey! Iâve been puttinâ up with this dump longer than anyone! I deserve to have a say!â
You sigh, the weight of the day finally catching up to you. Somehow, Grim being his usual self is oddly comforting after everything. No bribes, no PowerPoints, no gargoyle sales pitchesâjust Grim being Grim.
âCan we talk about this tomorrow?â you mumble, your voice muffled by the cushion. âIâm too tired to think.â
Grim eyes you for a moment before huffing. âFine. But donât take too long, got it? Iâm not stickinâ around this dump forever!â
With that, he hops off to raid the kitchen, leaving you alone to sink further into the furniture. You stare at the ceiling, your brain too fried to process anything else.
Tomorrow. Youâll deal with it tomorrow. For now, all you want is to sleep in your creaky, drafty old dorm. At least here, no oneâs trying to kidnap you.

Someone hurts their s/o
TW!: violence, abusive ex, strangulation
You stayed behind in class for a while after school, talking to your teacher about a few questions you had in class. As a result, your beautiful boy went off to practice by himself and you two agreed to meet at the gym. Little did you know, your abusive ex was waiting right in the halls by the gymnasium. As you made your way there, he jumped out in front of you with a smirk.
"Hey there, (y/n)." Immediately you stepped back, fear overcoming you.
"H-Hi... what are you doing here..?" you asked quietly, trying to find a way to call out to your boyfriend.
"Isn't it obvious? I'm here to take you back. I miss you," he hissed, his voice dipped in poisoned honey.
"Um- I have a boyfriend now... sorry, I gotta go-" you said quickly, hoping to just shove him away and go to the comfort of your boyfriend's arms. But he wouldn't have that. As you started to walk he grabbed your wrist and pulled you to him, taking a fistful of your hair and slamming you onto the wall. You cried out loudly in pain.
Inside the loud gymnasium, where no one else wouldâve heard, your boyfriend caught the sound of your voice.
Your ex grabbed your throat and pinned you to the wall, cutting off your air. You tried to pull his hands off of your neck but you were losing oxygen quickly, and you could feel yourself getting weaker by the second.
"I don't care... you're mine. And I can make you mine again."
"Please let go of my girlfriend." a voice suddenly echoed, making the guy jolt. He took your hand off of your neck in surprise, you dropping to the ground as you coughed and gasped for air.
"Who was that?!" He looked around, ready to fight. But there was no one there. Kuroko had already rushed to you, taking your hands in his with worry in his eyes.
"Oh no (y/n)... are you okay?" Kuroko asked with worry in his eyes, gently wiping off the blood on your forehead. Amidst your coughing you managed to croak out a weak "yes", trying to catch your breath. When your ex finally noticed you and Kuroko on the ground, he growled in annoyance.
"Hey! You're interrupting something here!"
"Please leave us alone. You've already hurt her enough." Kuroko hissed. Slowly you lifted your head, catching the expression on his face.
You've never see him so angry.
Even your ex noticed this, the rage that was emitting from the blue-haired teen.
"Jesus- I was just playing around...." he brushed it off, stepping back from the scene and leaving in a rush. Kuroko took a deep breath, shaking his head.
"You need to get to the infirmary (y/n)... can you walk?" he asked softly, putting aside the hair that blocked your eye.
"I-I think so..."
"Then let's go," he said with determination, standing up and reaching a hand to you to help you stand.
"Thank you Kuroko-kun..."
"Of course, (y/n)-chan. I'll always be here to protect you."
"Kuroko-kun?"
"Hm?"
"Why did you show up here alone? I know you know that you couldn't have handled him by yourself..."
"Yes I know... Have you seen these guns?" he gestured to his bicep. You chuckled softly, the two of you making your way to the infirmary.
"You dare lay a hand on my woman?" Akashi seethed. From the looks of it he could almost shoot lasers out of his heterochromatic eyes, approaching the two of you.
"S-Sei..." you croaked out, tears welling up in your eyes as you tried to stay conscious. From his mere voice your ex jolted, turning his head to look at Akashi. Pure bloodlust was radiating from him, and it didn't take longer for the man to release his grip on you.
"Shit- fine! Just- get away from me!" your ex panicked, feeling as if he was about to get eaten by a lion any second. He then ran off, leaving you on the ground.
"(Y/N)...!" Seijuro quickly lifted you into his arms, holding you protectively as he checked on you. You were coughing and wheezing, trying to get as much oxygen back as possible as you held your neck in pain.
"Shh... breathe, my love. Slowly now, deep breaths," he guided you as you calmed down, and eventually you were breathing normally again.
"I should have gotten here sooner... I apologize, my love. I will never allow that to happen again." He said, determined. Akashi stood up with you in his arms, making his way to the infirmary.
"Thank you for saving me Sei..." you croaked shyly, your voice hoarse.
"Do not strain yourself, my love. I will keep you safe."
"What about practice...?"
"Nonsense. You are my priority."
Bonus:
The next morning you saw on the news that a man who was an abuser was taken to jail the previous night. When you saw Akashi at school, you decided to approach him about it.
"Hey, Sei... about my ex..."
"Not to worry, my love. Shall we go to class?" he said rather cheerfully, clearly trying to change the subject.
"Oi!!" Midorima hissed at him, gripping the lucky item in his hand; a glass paperweight.
"Seriously? This guy is your boyfriend? What a dork. What do you even have in your hand?" he laughed, looking between the two of you.
"Let her go, nanodayo."
"Hmm... how about no?" your ex teased, squeezing your neck even tighter. Before he could do anything else, the glass paperweight was thrown at his head. It shattered into pieces as it came in contact, letting you go as you fell to the floor.
Midorima was quick, though, and he caught you just before your head hit the ground. You held your neck in pain, coughing and gagging as you regained your breath. He gently moved your hand aside to inspect your neck, which had black and blue bruises already forming.
"Tsk... (your zodiac sign) came in last today, nanodayo. I only left you for a second and-" he was cut off by you, throwing your arms around him as tightly as you could. Midorima pursed his lips, holding you gently but protectively. A chill ran down his spine, realizing you were shaking.
"That was so scary.." you muttered quietly, hiding your face in his neck. He might not be good at comforting you verbally, but he knew what else he could do. He hugged you tighter, a hand behind your head and stroking your hair gently.
The two of you stayed like that for a while, Midorima letting you calm down in his arms. If there was anything that helped you settle, it was him.
Bonus:
Eventually you calmed down, taking a deep breath as you lifted your head up. The first thing that you saw was Midorima's emerald eyes looking at you with worry. The second thing was your ex, unconscious on the floor.
"Um... what are we gonna do about him?"
"I've been trying to find a solution for that this whole time, nanodayo."
"What the fuck are you doing to my girlfriend, asshole!?" immediately Aomine ran in for a punch, his knuckles landing on your ex's cheek. He cried out in pain, letting you go to get ready for the fight. You fell to your knees, coughing and whimpering in pain.
"You wanna fight, huh? I'll fight you." your ex threatened, cracking his knuckles. But before he could do anything else Aomine landed another punch on him, this time landing on his jaw. With a spin he dropped down to the floor, unmoving.
"You'll pay for that..." he clicked his tongue, rushing to you.
"Oh shit- oh fuck! Hey- breathe!!" Aomine panicked as he saw you, on your fours and wheezing from your injury.
"Come here, just uh- sit down and relax for a bit. That should help, right??" he said, pulling you to him. You sat between his legs, leaning against him as he supported you with his arms. You gasped for air, struggling to catch your breath and fill your lungs.
"Hey just- relax, okay? I got you- I'm here..." Aomine whispered in your ear as an attempt to calm you down and make you better. But uncontrollable tears started to stream down your face, hiding yourself in Aomine's chest. A sharp pang of pain shot through him as he saw you in such a state, hating every moment of it.
"Fuck, I'm so sorry... I'm here with you now, okay? I'll make that fucker pay for what he did to you..." he hissed, hugging you as if shielding you from the world.
"I-I thought I w-was gonna die...! I a-almost blacked out- and... and I couldn't do anything...! I c-couldn't call you...!"
"But you didn't, (y/n). You're here, you're safe. You're alive, and you're with me. You're okay.." he sighed, hugging you tightly. He stood up, carrying you in his arms bridal style.
"Cmon... let's just go home." you agreed for once and nodded, wanting nothing but his presence right now.
"Hey! Get your hands off my girl ssu!!" he shouted at the man, who turned to him and smirked.
"Oho? You managed to score a fucking model?" he turned back to you, laughing a bit as he squeezed your neck even harder. You clawed at his hand and arm, trying to get his grip off of you. But very soon your vision started to obscure and you started to see black.
"That's unfortunate, hmm?" he cooed, watching as you went limp, your hands falling to your side. Kise widened his eyes, rushing to the man and swinging a punch at him. But he dodged it, releasing his grip on you as you fell to the floor.
"You think you can hurt her and get away with it?!" he snarled. Kise grabbed his shirt and punched him hard in the gut and then in the face, with a speed that even your ex couldn't register. The blonde rushed to your side, picking you up gently and holding you.
"H-Hey- (y/n)...! Wake up ssu...!" he panicked, feeling tears welling up in his eyes. Kise put a finger under your nose, a wave of relief washing over him as he felt your breathing. Out of nowhere, Kasamatsu came into the scene, yelling at the blonde.
"Where the hell have you been?! Practice started 10 minutes ago!! What the hell is-" but he was silenced as he saw the scene.
"I'm not going to practice today, Kasamatsu-senpai."
"Then what the fuck are you still doing here?? Go to the infirmary!!" he hissed, pointing at the direction of where you were supposed to go. Kise nodded and carried you, rushing to the nurse's office with you in his arms.
"Hey... that's my (y/n)!!" the purple haired giant hissed, approaching the two of you as he growled in anger.
"A-Atsushi..." you gasped, trying to loosen your ex's grip off of your neck. But your ex in suddenly let go of you, cowering in fear of the mere height of your boyfriend.
"Never touch my (y/n) again!!" he bellowed, his anger echoing through the halls. Your ex cried out in fear, immediately running away from you two.
You sat up and leaned against the wall, catching your breath and holding your neck in pain.
"(Y/N)...!" your boyfriend pouted, kneeling down and pulling you into his arms suddenly, hugging you tightly from behind.
"S-Sushi..." you chuckled slightly, but whimpering in pain. Your voice was hoarse, and it hurt to talk.
"(Y/N)... that was so scary... you're so fragile..." Murasakibara pouted, ruffling your hair and resting his chin on the top of your head. You pursed your lips, snuggling against your giant's hold.
"It's okay (y/n)... I made the bad guy go away. You're okay now.." he said quite childishly, hugging you tighter. You appreciated it nonetheless, smiling softly as you hid yourself within Murasakibara's arms.

Murasakibara relationship headcanons
-Murasakibara is honestly a very chill boyfriend. He typically just goes with the flow of the relationship and letâs you take the lead most of the time. Â
-He loves taking long naps with you after eating big meals. He becomes super sleepy when he eats too much at one time and will slump on your shoulder at the table or drag you to your room so you can cuddle him.
-Despite being so huge in comparison to you, heâs still a big baby. He wants to be all up under you (both in public and private) and gets sad if you donât show him any attention.Â
-Itâs no secret that Murasakibara is a foodie, so expect a lot of dates at different restaurants. And although he prefers someone else cooking for him, Murasakibara will still make his own dishes and youâd be surprised with how good it comes out.
-You typically give him motivation to do things that he usually tries to get out of. You constantly encourage him to do his homework and give him the pep-talk that he needs to train, and even though he does it reluctantly and as If itâs so bothersome to him, he really appreciates you always pushing him to be his best.
-Murasakibara is also super moody. He catches an attitude real quick If someone does something he does not like, and will retaliate once they finally get under his skin. Youâve gotten use to how sensitive he is by now and you sometimes have to stop yourself from laughing at how easily he pouts or complains about the smallest things.
-He actually doesnât like to have his hair in his face because it can be annoying, especially if heâs eating, but most of the time heâs just too lazy to put it up. And when you found this out, youâd always bring extra hair ties for him whenever you left the house, and heâd be so happy if you put his hair in a ponytail for him.
-He secretly loves it whenever you come to his games. He tends to act as If basketball isnât something he cares about, but the minute he sees that youâve come to support him, he knows he has to win no matter what.
-Murasakibara also gets jealous very easily. Although it may seem like he is laid back for most things, he actually will feel some type of way if he notices that someone is being a little too friendly with you. He will give you discreet peaks or just flat out glare honestly, and thereâs a huge chance that heâll try to scare them away by coming to stand behind you and completely sizing the person up.
-He skips practice a lot just to come see you. Will bring you snacks and just lays around your room while lazily watching you do your work.
-Heâs mostly quiet and doesnât like talking much unless heâs with you. And as cheesy as it may sound, heâs become comfortable enough to let his guard down whenever you guys are together.
-And anyone whoâs lucky enough to have that privilege has Murasakibaraâs heart 100%.

HELLO THERE LOVE. Can i request a headcanon of Kise, Midorima, Kagami, Himuro, and Miyahi Kiyoshi reacting to their fem s/o getting injured in a basketball match like kirisaki daichi style? And what would they do to comfort or take care their s/o? Btw i love your blog so much mwuah please stay healthy. âĄ
you get kirisaki daichi-injured
a/n: eeeee tysm anon! eat well and have a happy day <3
warnings: reader injuries, basketball player!reader
ft. kise ryouta, midorima shintaro, kagami taiga, himuro tatsuya, kiyoshi teppei
KISE literally was about to run into the court, but kasamatsu had to hold him back as the coach, referee, and other important staff came to circle around you. the person you were versing had elbowed you in the ribs when you caught the rebound ball, and unfortunately cracked them. luckily, the referee had spotten that foul, and kirisaki daichi were banned from competitive play for at least couple yearsâ which kise thought, should be way more. he finally was able to catch you when you were walking towards the benches, and helped you to escort out of the building. outside, he sat you on the bench and allowed you to lean on him. âdoes it hurt?â he asked softly, careful not to move you around too much. you nodded, âthe physician said i canât play for the rest of the season. why? why do they fucking play like that?â your tears began to fall and he repeatedly kissed your forehead, knowing how much it hurts to stop playing mid-game and feeling useless about it. âyou got it next year, y/n-cchi..â he muttered, âi swear, when itâs our turn to verse them, i will beat the living hell out of them. can i sleep over tonight?â
MIDORIMA has never shown so much expression. the minute he saw a basketball thrown to your face, which knocked you down. rage filled his expression and his fists were clenched (gosh, even takao was scared), but he knew better than to interfere with your treatment as the medical team circled around you. when the next game started, he rushed to the infirmary to you, taking your hand to kiss the knuckles. âshintaro, iâm fine.â you smiled, honestly kind of happy about his concern. he eyed your eyepatch, the sides all red and swollen, and frowned. âthatâs so fucked up,â he muttered, âi hope they get their karma for that. disqualification is not enough.â you chuckled a bit and sighed, âi canât play for the rest of this season. this bruise is pretty bad.â midorima frowned again, âiâll be with you through everything, so donât struggle alone.â after that, midorima made sure not to let you move so much. and he swore he will get back at kirisaki daichi when it was time for his playoffs.
KAGAMI was literally too stunned to speak. he knew what kirisaki daichi was like, but he never, ever, expected it to happen to you. so when he saw you get squished between two players when you were going for the rebound, he froze, and watched all the people go to circle you. âkagami-kun, you should check up on y/n-san.â kuroko said, nudging him a bit. and suddenly it hit him, and he ran onto the court, pushing the people crowding over you, immediately taking you in his arms. the medical team was hesitant, but he insisted he hold you. âfucking hell, letâs get you to the benches.â he gave the other team the iciest, deadliest glare before carefully guiding you to sit down. when you sat, he made sure your sight was blocked from the other team, not sparing them a glance of your situation. âwhere does it hurt?â âon a scale of one to ten, how much does it hurt?â he keeps asking all these probing questions until you kiss him to shut him up. âtaiga, iâll be fine.â you chuckled, âi hope they get fucking disqualified though.â kagami took a first aid kit from his bag (something he keeps on him at all times) and bandaged you up. âweâre gonna fucking get them back.â he uttered, âin the mean time, youâre staying with me.âÂ
HIMURO was furious. he was the one who called the timeout even though he wasnât in the position toâŽbut he didnât care. he saw, with his two own eyes, a player purposely trip you, then later trample on you to âget to the other side of the court.â âthey better get fucking disqualified,â himuro expressed to the coach. with the help of murasakibara, they both brought you to the infirmary, only letting the nurse and teammates see you. when players from kirisaki daichi tried to peek, he slammed the door, yelling at them to go away or go to hell. eventually everyone left and it was just you two. âhey, iâm here.â he whispered to you, stroking your head. âdoes it hurt? can you move?â you smiled at him and shook your head, âi think i canât play for a bit.â his heart shattered and gripped your hand, kissing your forehead. âdonât worry, iâll take care of you.â
KIYOSHI warned you. he told you multiple stories about the times he got personally injured, and how itâs brutal, cruel, and every bad word in the dictionary. he even tried to convince you to skip this match for the sake of keeping you safe, but you insisted that the team needed you, and if something happened, youâll be okay either way; you couldnât win if you didnât try. but the minute the other player pushed you down with the ball when they blocked you, making you crash onto the ground, kiyoshiâs eyes widened and he sprinted onto the court. he did not give a damn about what the referee was yelling aboutâ something along with âyou shouldnât be here,â or âgo back, go back!â along with the rest of your teammates and coach, they circled around you, but the only person in your line of vision was kiyoshi. âyour nose.. itâs bleeding sweetheart. can someone get me some gauze and tissues?â your teammate quickly obliged, and kiyoshi tried to treat you with so much care, but it hurt too much. âsorry love, i know it hurts.â you shook your head, âthank you so much, teppei.â when you looked in the direction of kirisaki daichi, all of them were smirking and giggling, and the person who caused your injury gave an evil grin at you, sticking their tongue out. you gulped, and when kiyoshi saw what you were staring at, he scowled. âno wonder you guys never go to finalsâŽyou donât even know how to play.â with that, he guided you to the infirmary, where he whispered sweet nothings as he treated you and you rested.Â

The fact that all these guys are coming together instead of getting pissed off speaks volumes. They get why Sakura is doing what he's doing. Sakura finally found his place, he's recognized that he wants to stay, and protect it all.
Instead, they know they're need to get stronger, not just so they can stand by his side, but to also help him so he doesn't feel burdened. They care for him as much as he cares for them.
Also, Sugishita standing outside the classroom listening in? He knows he'll cares about him too, even if they don't see eye to eye right now. He was still willing to protect Sugishita when he couldve just run off without him.
I seriously can't wait for for Sugishita's arc. Its going to be amazing.

Of all the panels from Wind Breaker that deserve color, the shot of Sakura with fireworks is probably one that needs it the most!
Guys I just had a sad thought - Sakura probably hasn't played with fireworks before! Suo and Nirei got them for him!!
Also, I've said this before, but Sakura thinks he's in a shonen delinquent manga. What he doesn't realize is that everyone loves him and he's the protagonist of a harem manga.
