“Kissing underneath my eyes, huh?” He had an unreadable tone to his voice. It was almost like you were treading on dangerous territory, but when you confirmed it, he cracked into a smile. A shaky one, but a grin nonetheless. The only unspoken rule about your relationship was for you to avoid pointing out his flushed face at moments like this.

You chose to break the rule though. “With your permission, I’d love to kiss you until you’re even more red.”

“Okay, permission rejected just for that.” But you accepted his dismissal. Hell, you smiled that fond smile and said that was okay. “I— … just go ahead.”

Pan felt lost with you. The way that you talked to him as if he was all that mattered; that was what made him feel so conflicted.

He’d never dare to tell you that he wanted to be with you forever. But he really didn’t have to.

“You— HUH?!” With a face as red as his crimson hair, the boy stared at you in absolute disbelief. It was almost amusing that just asking to kiss his arm could elicit such intense emotion. With his golden eyes blown so wide, you almost felt like he’d deny the request. And just as you were about to brush off your silly little plan, he sighed with exasperation.

“Peyn, it’s okay if you don’t feel comfortable with it. I hope you’re aware,” you reassured him so calmly that he just stared for a second.

Then he directed his gaze away. “It’s fine, really. Just don’t be a weirdo.”

It wasn’t necessarily hesitation that kept him from agreeing sooner. But in his years of living, the concept of someone wanting to lay their lips really ANYWHERE on his body felt so foreign.

Once you started though, he was quick to melt. Just pure joy from knowing you wanted to do this, that’s what made him so damn proud.

As soon as his name was announced, a group of girls squealed from excitement, immediately turning to you with curiosity perhaps jealousy in their eyes.

“Lucky!”

“Oh my gosh, if I knew he was here I would have trained harder!”

“Can you get me a signature, please?”

You were bombed with questions left and right, the room shrinking to the size of a football, so small with barely enough space to breathe. Before you could suffocate, Ego’s voice harshly reminded everyone to back off, letting you make your way to Anri.

Yukimiya Kenyu whose tall frame, paired with glasses framing his face, made him easily recognizable among the others. You caught him in a rather intense 1 on 1 match—quickly recalling what you read from his profile sheet—convinced that he’s gonna win the duel. Patiently waiting for the match to finish, you approached him with a smile, handing him his water bottle before introducing yourself to the boy. As expected, he returned a polite smile, shaking your hand while asking some questions. Talking with him made you realize, no wonder everyone was all over him, because damn was he handsome.

•Yukimiya, who you form a strictly professional relationship with, sometimes curious about what he thinks of you. He’s just so polite to the point it’s almost scary, and not once has he offended you in any way. Super nice, but you can tell there’s this certain wall between the two of you.

•He’s easy to deal with, never complaining, always following instructions to the core and he’s really capable on his own as well. You notice how he likes to do things alone most of the time—dealing with exhaustion, injuries, and personal problems without discussing them with you.

•Very mature and loves to handle his own business, but after a certain incident where you prove yourself to be more than just an assigned manager, he lets you in his inner circle. No more distance between you and him, just his pure, unfiltered self.

•FINALLY, someone who shows up on time for events, matches etc. without needing a thousand reminders. Disciplined during practice and training, all while carefully listening to your guidance.

•Yukimiya, who will do some extra training, if he feels like it but you will have to practically force him to rest, otherwise he’s gonna overwork. Likes to help you with paperwork too, turning it into a fun bonding time.

•Always notices if you’re having a bad day, and will gently ask how you are, or instruct you to go back to bed, saying he can manage himself for a day. Perfect at listening to you vent, and gives the best solutions for any problem.

•Yukimiya doesn’t tease you a lot, since he’s such a gentleman, instead he will secretly trash talk and gossip to you. Also, he’s always silently judging someone with the nastiest side eyes known to mankind. (second to Chigiri) LOVES to roll his eyes as well.

•He doesn’t mention his job as a model, but due to his teammates’ teasing, he tells you some snippets of how they scouted him etc. At the same time you tell him about the little incident during the announcements, making him laugh and a glint of pride shines in his eyes.

AFTER THE U20 MATCH…

•Yukimiya becomes more open to others, cooperating during matches and discussions. He also pays more attention to you during analysis sessions, asking even more questions than before.

•You also have to change some things in his diet that could make a slight change in his vision, as well as ensuring he goes for monthly checkups, and searches for treatments on the Internet.

•He appreciates your support silently. Not really the emotional type, but when you’re sitting on a bench waiting for him to finish—it means a lot. Remembers your habits, and never fails to look out for you.

•Yukimiya is EXTREMELY photogenic since he’s a model. Extremely polite with interviewers and always gives clear answers. Really sweet to his fans as well, they swoon every time they see him. To your surprise, they also compliment how cute his manager is, some people even making ship edits about the two of you.

•Definition of unbothered in everyday life. Did he forget his own water bottle? Karasu’s will do. Oops, was this seat supposed to be Isagi’s? Guess he’ll have to sit somewhere else. You are scolding him? “Yes, yes manager-san.” He definitely DID NOT pay attention and was counting how many eyelashes you have.

•You can’t read his emotions off of his face. He has this gentleman image that never seems to leave even if he is angry. Not towards you tho, it’s for his teammates—and the extremely pushy and rude paparazzi. It’s chilling how he smiles when he’s happy AND when he’s mad. You can hardly tell the difference.

•Yukimiya, who will drop random pick up lines out of nowhere without even realizing it—surprised every time you’re flustered, thinking it’s the hot weather. (could be winter doesn’t matter)

•He will also unconsciously (or not) do the most boyfriend coded things ever like—looking over your shoulder with his face dangerously close to yours, or moving you by the waist with a “can you move a bit to the left” while his hands are on your sides.

•Big anime fan, but refuses to talk about it unless you bring it up first. After that he turns into a total fanboy, telling you some episodes by heart and he’s just so nerdy, it makes you smile.

•Nobody suspects him, but he has some UNHINGED photos of the boys on his phone. Otoya with a double chin? Check. Nagi drooling on his own pillow? Check. Bachira FULLY naked? Check, and don’t ask him how he got it.

•Yukimiya is the ideal player, with his attentive nature, all while being perfectly media trained. Thanks to his skills, you don’t have to suffer that much, making your life stressful-free. That is until his very first scandal pops up and the topic is—you and him being involved in a RELATIONSHIP?

697. Children of Nyx are powerful guardians of the night, and have the ability to walk into dreams/the dream realm. Though they are rare, some have used their ability to help with or even fight off the nightmares of demigods that would otherwise drive them insane.

It's making me so emotional that Sakura sees Kiryu is upset, tries to think of ways to cheer him up, and then immediately pivots to inviting Kiryu over. Even though Sakura still isn't comfortable with any kind of intimacy, our little feral cat still chooses to offer something that would make him uncomfortable but would make Kiryu happy.

He's putting his friends' wellbeing above his own!! Sakura has done that before, physically (throwing himself into fights, protecting people), but emotionally is a different story. This is still relatively new territory for him, but he's trying so hard to be there for his friend.

This pure, sweet boy... Beneath all the bluster, he's just such a kind-hearted person. I love him so much.

how many times has this guy risked his life to save the world? percy jackson is a true hero, always putting himself in harm’s way to protect those around him, such as when he chose the prophecy to protect nico. he always takes risks to protect his loved ones, and he constantly puts others’ needs above his own.

I guess I based this off of percy spending a bunch of time with rachel before last olympian. but demigods are in constant danger, and percy would cherish every moment he spends with his partner because, unfortunately, you never know when it could be the last. I also thought about acts of service, since he was really grateful when annabeth and grover wanted to go with him on that quest in lightning thief.

jason’s a giver. he literally joined the fifth cohort to bring back their glory. he sacrificed himself for piper (rest in peace jason, you deserved better) and his whole life has been about serving camp jupiter and later, camp half-blood too.

this might be kind of controversial. I just think jason’s been in such a strict, intense environment since he was a toddler that he’s definitely touch-starved. he probably melts at any physical contact with his partner. I also thought about words of affirmation because he’s always been held to such high expectations, he’d really need someone just telling him they love him.

giving: gift giving

lowkey I put gift giving because too many people were getting acts of service. but genuinely I think leo would love making little trinkets and machines and giving them to his partner. he’s not great at being vulnerable with words or touch, so he shows his love through little actions. similarly, acts of service is also definitely a love language of his; think of everything he did to help calypso after all, even though I hate that ship.

receiving: words of affirmation

this is probably the one I’m most certain about. let’s be honest, leo’s been through so much shit, he’s been called so much shit, that he just needs someone to appreciate and love him and tell him that. plus, he’s so used to rejection that one “I love you” will send him into a spiral for days on end.

frank zhang

giving: physical touch

not entirely sure about this one, I need to reread heroes of olympus. but I bet frank would give the best hugs. you’d feel so safe and warm wrapped up in frank’s arms, and I feel like he’d be the most likely to be physically affectionate with others out of pretty much all the riordanverse characters.

receiving: words of affirmation

the second one I’m most certain about. frank is quite sensitive and definitely needs praise. not needs as in he’s an attention seeker, but needs as in he blushes bright red and smiles super wide when someone praises him. it just makes him feel so warm and fuzzy inside.

luke castellan

giving: acts of service

luke is like the embodiment of the statement “a hero would sacrifice you for the world, but a villain would sacrifice the world for you”. he did everything that he did in order to build a better world; I genuinely believe he thought what he was doing was right for the greater good. and he brought back the titan lord and fought a war for a cause he believed in--what lengths would he go to to protect his partner?

receiving: words of affirmation

luke’s never received any sort of praise or recognition; it’s part of why he resented the gods so much in the first place. if he could have someone with him just to pick him up when he’s down, to encourage him and shower him with praise and love, he’d be so happy. although I like to think he’s a touch-starved baby who’s really clingy with his partner too.

nico di angelo

giving: quality time

nico’s not a talker, he’d much rather listen or sit in silence with his partner. spending a lot of time with his partner would let nico feel closer to them. there’s a special sort of connection and understanding that comes from shared experiences. acts of service was also another contender. nico would do everything for those he loves. take bianca, for example, and how hard nico tried to bring her back in battle of the labyrinth.

another touch-starved one. he was taken out of time for seventy years, came back and lost his sister in like five days, went through two wars, had to deal with coming to terms with his sexuality; the poor guy has been through tartarus and back (literally). poor nico. someone give him a hug. I also thought about words of affirmation, since nico constantly struggles with being isolated and would probably really benefit from some reassurance and support.

I mean, he’s literally a healer. he does everything for others. enough said, really. he puts others’ wellbeing first, and in the process sometimes overlooks himself and his own needs. which leads to. . .

receiving: acts of service

will is so used to people taking care of him that he never asks for help when he needs it. the little things, like helping him out when he’s tired, is the way to his heart. no one’s ever really looked out for him since he arrived at camp half-blood, and he had to take over the apollo cabin when he was barely a teenager. it’d be nice for him to have someone take care of him for a change.

ethan nakamura

I don’t know why so many characters have acts of service as a giving love language. maybe it’s because they’re heroes and fight and do stuff for their respective causes, so naturally they give off a giving or take-action vibe? but anyway, ethan fought and gave his life in order to gain his mother--and himself, honestly--more recognition. he takes action for those he cares about and always wants to defend his beliefs and help his friends, even though his ways may be a little questionable.

really similar to luke. ethan’s always been undervalued and overlooked. he just needs validation and support. encouragement and praise would help him finally feel acknowledged, accepted, and valued.

Guess who finally made a character sheet

Headcanons for the children of Nyx since there isn’t enough to satisfy my soul:

-Being children of the goddess everybody feared, even Zeus; the mother of Death and Deceit and Revenge and Distress and whatnot, they were usually feared and avoided. It just took people some time to realize they’re total cinnamon rolls (most of them).

-Their eyes would glow softly during the night.

-They’re most energetic during the night; most of their activities are during that time, which is why the other cabins can’t sleep properly, and they’d want to go and Nyx Cabin to complain or tell them off or something, but then they remember the harpies and decide to just use earplugs (the Hypnos Cabin doesn’t have a problem tho).

-They usually look like a bunch of Shadowhunters.

-They use shadow travel, but unlike children of Hades, whose shadow travel is full of crying ghosts and stuff, children of Nyx’s shadow travel is basically waves of the color midnight blue swirl around them with constellation shining all over the place.

-They’re good at using stars as navigation maps.

-They have night-vision.

-Their skin is really sensitive to the sun, which is why whenever a child of Nyx arrives at Camp, they’re provided with one.

-Children of Hermes, in fact, used this as a prank, sneaking stealthily into the Nyx Cabin and stealing all of their umbrellas and left one while the night demigods themselves have shadow traveled to the forest at night so that they wouldn’t be seen by the harpies. In the morning, the entire Nyx Cain had to huddle under one umbrella to reach the Dining Pavilion for breakfast, each one of them fighting the other for space.

-After hearing about Annabeth’s encounter with her cousin Magnus and his story, they decide they want to meet the guy called Blitzen and ask him for fashion advice so they can look stylish and avoid sunlight during the day.

-They mostly use Stygian iron swords, and sometimes silver ones.

-Their powers include umbrakinesis and lunakinesis.

-Besides manipulating darkness, Nyx’s children are capable of creating miniature stars with their fingertips (you need to be an older, more experinced demigod).

-Their cabin’s design is a small replica of the mansion of their mother, made out of black marble and encrusted all over the outer walls and the ceiling with white diamonds to represent constellations of stars that would glow whenever the moon’s light reflected off them.

-They have the ability to control dreams and enter other people’s dreams.

-They use this to try and make the demigods’ nightmares more tolerable.

-They also can explain complicated dreams and have a better understanding of the Oracle’s prophecies due to Nyx’s prophetic powers.

-They. Freaking. Hate. Hemera���s. Cabin.

-They’d always avoid them.

-But sometimes Nyx’s children would help a Hemera’s child who’s scared from the darkness of night or somehow got lost in the forest during the night and doesn’t want to get eaten by harpies.

-Also Hemera’s children would sometimes help a Nyx’s child who lost their umbrella.

-^both of these can be the beginning of a new realtionship between a child of Hemera and a child of Nyx, which would bewilder everyone, given the unstable relationship between Nyx and her daughter^

-Some of Nyx’s children would be able to merge into shadows, This power is usually discovered accidentally. Sometimes, the little kids who have this ability would panic and freak out when their hand or foot slowly becomes a shadow, but the older ones with the same ability would calm them down and help them get used to this power.

-Total fans of The House of Night series.

-Their motto/ favorite quotes: “Darkness does not always equate to evil, just as light does not always equate to good.” (basically their reply to whomever even tries to bullies them about being children of the goddess of “night and darkness representing evil” and stuff)+”Stars can’t shine without darkness.”

-Older demigods would sing a soothing lullaby for the younger children who can’t sleep during the night since they’re fully awake and energetic. Sometimes a child of Aphrodite will help to charm-speak them into sleep. (At some point they’ll need to sleep so they can survive the day)

-They grew poppies in front of their cabin with the help of the Demeter cabin.

-Demigod children of Nyx usually have very dark black hair and silver eyes that often look intimidating.

If you’ve known Leona for any amount of time, especially enough time for him to be visiting you for whatever reason, you know that he’s pretty much allergic to actually saying sorry. So the weirdly meek ”My bad, should’ve knocked. that he mutters can be very surprising to hear.

Even if you’re really close and comfortable with each other, he won’t be much more laid back about it. Sorry allergy be damned, he’s still apologizing and looking away every single time. Unless you actually stated, in straightforward words, that you don’t care if he walks in on you. He’d probably still close the door even in that case, honestly.

Even if you tease him for how quickly he puts aside his pride for this specific situation, Leona won’t argue against it. At most he’ll reply back with a snarky ”What, was I supposed to just stay and gawk?”, like the sheer idea of doing that is insane to him. And it genuinely is. If he notices you’re embarrassed yourself, right when he closes the door, he’ll quickly and plainly assure that he didn’t see anything. It may or may not be true, he has pretty sharp eyes, but— Really, he wasn’t raised in a barn. Leona does, in fact, have quite a few lines he won’t cross when teasing people.

𐙚 Ruggie Bucchi

With Ruggie, it doesn’t matter if you’re his friend, his girlfriend, or just an acquaintance. He will immediately turn away and shut the door. Whatever the reason was for his visit can wait, no matter what it is. ”Eek, sorry, I’ll wait outside! Uhm, and I won’t forget to knock next time!” He says, his pitch uncharacteristically high.

It’s not like he’s shy or scared you’ll get really mad or anything like that? He knows very well it’s not a big deal, it was an accident and he genuinely didn’t even look. Turning away instantly is just the right thing to do, in his mind. It’s probably not even the first time he walks in on a girl while she changes, considering he has his fair share of friends back home.

He apologizes again when you’re done, even bowing his head as he speaks, and promises he didn’t look at all if you seem embarrassed. And he really didn’t— Instinct just kicks in the second his brain registers the presence of bare skin. Literally right in the millisecond that it detected an unusual amount of whatever color your skin is.

Pretty much goes back to his usual self after everything is settled. Again, it’s just the right thing to do, to him. The natural thing to do even. You could try to express you don’t mind him seeing you, but regardless of what your reasoning is, Ruggie just shrugs and says, a bit awkwardly, that he just can’t bring himself to do that. It’s straight up not an option.

𐙚 Jack Howl

Gets flustered like he’s making up for Leona and Ruggie’s lack of real embarrassment— ”C-Close the door properly next time! He stutters, covering his face that grows increasingly red as he fumbles with the doorknob to close it, almost tripping on his feet.

He doesn’t react as fast as Leona or Ruggie, but just because he doesn’t really notice visuals as quickly as they do. So even though he’s technically the only one who lingered around the door, it’s unlikely he actually stared, even unintentionally.

He’s stuck between wanting to chide you for forgetting the lock and knowing deep in his soul that he should absolutely not do that, he was the one who showed up earlier than he was supposed to, he’s the one in the wrong here. In the end he doesn’t really say anything while he waits for you to finish getting dressed. Maybe just a mumbled apology or two, depending on how you reacted.

Can’t really look you in the eyes for a few hours. He just feels bad about it, like he’s been really rude to you by accident. Compared to the culture of other beastmen subspecies, especially Ruggie and Leona’s, his doesn’t emphasize a respect for women specifically as much, but it’s definitely still a thing. And it’s just part of his character too, underneath that tough guy persona, he doesn’t want to disrespect anybody. It takes him some reassurance to stop feeling guilty.

"Wake up, ya lazy human! Someone's at the door!" Grim's voice cuts through your sleep fog like a particularly aggressive alarm clock.

With the grace of a half-conscious goblin, you groggily sit up, rubbing your eyes. "What… time is it?"
