alright. know what? with Secrets of the Obscure right around the corner and plenty of new Mists-related sky island settings coming with it, I'll just bite the bullet and interest-check a little something I've been turning in my head for a long, long while.

would YOU be interested in a Mists-based GW2 roleplay guild that uses a lore compliant multiverse system to allow canon, canon-adjacent, lore-breaking, and otherwise 'contradictory' muses to coexist in the same setting?

simply put: every writer's cast would be set in their own self-contained universe. as such, everyone could bring whatever muses they want with their own personal headcanons, and no one could dictate what is or isn't canon for anyone else. so long as your muses are GW2-based, you're good to go! bring your Commanders, bring your canon-divergent OCs, bring your canon muses-- and yes, even the ones that are 'supposed' to be dead. who can say what might have happened in a strange world far across the Mists, after all?

neutral hubs and in-character safety guardrails would be in place to keep all muses on a relatively even playing field regardless of their power, history, and prestige, too. play hardball if you like, but it might not end quite the way you'd hope. the main rule would be to maintain good OOC etiquette at all times: no godmodding, no metagaming, no theft, don't blend IC and OOC, and so-on.

Thinking about Surge and Kit. Mostly just... How nothing about them seems to make sense.

How in particular, Starline almost expected this. A sort of "I swear. This happens at LEAST once a few weeks with you" air to Starline's reaction. How he states that they have had this conversation before. And how he insisted it would always end the same.

Or the fact that it was Kitsunami was clearly the one to turn the tide of that small fight. How it's clear that Surge is holding onto a hope so far off that it's a pipe dream to help her cope. Or the fact that both Surge and Kit find it a bit odd that there is no record of who they were before hand. Just their conditioning.

And isn't that just something odd? The man who records what he ate for breakfast in a detailed video log. Doesn't have an interview or a debrief on Surge and Kits' prior existence. Something he would do for kidnap victims. Something he would do for Volunteers.

How come he's so fine with them thinking they are kidnap victims before he lost that scuffle? How come when he comes to and the two lie to him, he expects a far worse response than what he was given. How come there aren't logs for our supposed kidnap victims?

What was the use of getting Tails' fur sample? How much of the recordings we see can be trusted? Starline isn't exactly a reliable narrator. Granted, when it comes to the imposters... Is anyone really reliable?

open to: m/f/anyone plot: Edgar is a prolific & famous thief who has stolen some things from y/m. Finally, after a long game of cat & mouse, y/m has caught Edgar. I was thinking period/historical fantasy vibes but I could go modern too. Edgar grunted and struggled against the guards that hauled him to his feet, his heart raced in his chest and he gasped down a few breaths before his dark gaze found the others. So, they had finally caught him? He couldn’t stop the way his eyes lit with some admiration alongside the mischief that always seemed to surround him. This little game of theirs had lasted quite a while and Edgar would be lying if he said he wasn’t impressed they had finally caught him. No one else had been able to catch the self-proclaimed king of thieves and they did send his pulse lurching more in his chest than anyone else. He was glad it had been them but he certainly wouldn’t have admitted it.

“Well, you’re looking as gorgeous as ever,” he complimented, grin growing wider before he was jostled by the guard on his left and he couldn’t stop the breath of amusement that left his lungs. “–if you wanted to see me so bad, you could have just said so.” He teased further, though his former statement was certainly not a missed opportunity to flirt. The thief was a lot of things and annoyingly-charming was at the top of that list. No matter the situation, no matter what sort of peril awaited him, Edgar could always find the time to flirt. If he could do that then it made things feel less daunting.

Even though he knew he wasn’t getting away any time soon, Ed struggled slightly against the guard on his left again, the one who had shoved him slightly when he’d spoken. The guard grunted as Edgar shoved against him and the action only caused the man to hold on tighter to the thief and Edgar huffed with annoyance before returning his gaze to the other, arching a brow expectantly. Would they punish him directly? Or would they throw him away in some dark room to rot for a while, think over the bad things he’d done before enacting some further punishment? Edgar was amused by the curiosity when he should have been a little more concerned about his well-being.

the past few days i had been toying with the idea of writing wanshi from p.unishing g.ray r.aven. ( he's a war medic, and a sniper. yes. you heard right. ) with him gaining his new frame, i feel like he's someone i want to explore in terms of mentality. him loving & cherishing life, wanting to cure and heal people but in the dystopian setting he's in, he cannot save people fast enough with his hands as healer and a medic. ( not to mention limited resources and him being forced to prioritize some lives more than others and it TORE him apart. ) him taking it upon himself to fight, to protect instead of simply heal. to make sure he doesn't watch the precious lives being wasted away when he could have. the sacrifices and pain he witnessed, the blood he has on his hands, the patients he failed to save and lost ... i don't know ... he just speaks to me SO MUCH in this newest update and i find myself wanting to take him up. the problem is that no one knows about p.unishing g.ray r.aven setting / universe. maybe i could make a wuwa verse for him since they're both developed by kurogame & are similar in terms of being post-apocalyptic setting ? i'll sit on it a bit more.

He  knows  who  he  is ...  That's  a  good  start.  Cell  wouldn't  have  said  he  believed  in  divine  beings,  but  then  he'd  been  to  hell...  Hell.  Gohan  and  Goku  had  beaten  him,  so  stranger  things  had  indeed  happened.  His  pale  pink  eyes  scrutinize  the  angle  as  he  decides  whether  or  not  this  is  actually  worth  the  shot.  But  he'd  marched  himself  over  here,  so  surely,  he  wasn't  about  to  lose  his  nerve  now.  Besides...  He  was  recognized  as  the  perfect  being !  That  was  a  good  thing.  It  filled  his  chest  with  pride.  Or  ego,  perhaps.  He  eyes  the  parfait  curiously,  the  crests  that  made  up  his  brow  furrowing  slightly.
