funny story about aai2 i started watching an lp of it like 3 years ago but was kinda losing interest in aa in general so i dropped it, came back to the exact same lp in like may-ish and then like 2 days before i finished the lp the collection was announced. Something that PISSES me off so bad is when people say "it's not that serious" when referring to akashi.

Imagine yourself in his shoes. Imagine being told since the day you were born that your worth hinged on victory. Imagine being told that the only way anybody would ever love you is if you continued to be victorious. Imagine believing that your(first ever)friends only stayed with you because they thought you were stronger. Imagine being so frightened that they'd abandon you if you didn't prove your worth. And(in bokusei's case specifically) imagine your entire existence depending on victory. Imagine victory being so detrimental to your existence that losing would make it lose meaning. Imagine disappearing if you ever lost.

It really is that serious I'm afraid.

Getting the sense that vast swathes of tiktok is just ppl showing how much they like art and media in a purely performative fashion. Musicians they only like half a song of bc it’s popular, books they skimmed before deciding the narrator is Unrelatable, art they saw in an altered form with no credit to the original artist. It’s hollow, it’s corrosive, you’re supposed to love things with purpose and intent, put your heart into it!!!

The NPCs not talking to Rook isn’t the end of the series as we knew it — the cumulative of every bad decision made in Veilguard sets a precedent that can only be the end of the series as we knew it. They’re not gonna walk it back in DA5 and give us something like Origins or 2 again just because we asked. The Dragon Age we all loved is over. They also explicitly said they are done with Thedas and everyone in it (Dalish elves in general included) as a whole, which is also an explicit End.
