There's an arm wrapping around Lucio's waist as the streamer finally finds it in him to turn in for the evening, earlier than usual, as a soft kiss isnprrssed against the back of his lover's shoulder; " ... did i keep you waiting for too long? i had to participate in a small charity stream," he utters against the curve of the shoulder, head soon settling on top of it as Sebastian pulls Lucio closer into his embrace under the duvet.

"it was for a mental health organization," he adds under a content breath, eyes closing as a sole hand trace the front of Lucio's stomach, admiring the company he finds himself lucky enough to call his. To remain so infatuated, one could almost mistake it for a dream. Prompted by thoughts tied to previous influence, Sebastian allowed himself to embark on a series of personal questions; "... what was high school like for you?"

lucio has longed gotten used to entertaining himself when sebastian was streaming. honetly, it wasn't a hardship to him. he liked being near when his boyfriend was doing his thing, it simply meant he had company. making sure the streamer had a few snacks and hydrating drinks here and there left him a little more content with himself. it's nice, he muses, lashes fluttering low over his gaze as he snuggles back against his boyfriend, a hum in his throat at the touch.

❝ ━ nah, one of my gremlin friends kept texting me thei escapades, so i was entertained. ❞ there's a note of laughter in their voice, shifting as he drags his fingers along sebastian's forearm. ❝ ━ that's a good cause y'know ? so many people resonate with things like that. i'm proud of you. ❞

being so close like this made lucio want to fall asleep, to curl closer to sebastian and just doze off into dreamland so easily. cuddles would always make him a little clingy, but hey, if sebastian didn't mind, the witch would never mention it. cozy thoughts screech to a halt at highschool. for the memories they chose to remember, it was a quiet affair. lots of fights. lots of darkness and closed doors. secrets kept and finding themselves. stomach gives a lurch as terrible memories began creeping in. ❝ ━….terrible.❞

a humorless smile curls lucio's lips, fingers tracing absent shapes on sebastian's forearm, leaning his head back against his shoulder. ❝ ━ i wasn't sure who i was back then. just someone who liked researching the macabre, a loner really, with a bad temper and a potty mouth and no self preservation. ❞ he's goes quiet for a moment, gnawing on his lip as lashes blink rapidly over his gaze, ❝ ━ between the mean girls and their dumbass, blockhead boyfriends, i was the subject of plenty of teasing, if that's what it can be called. they liked to shove me into closets. dark and damp and locked from the outside. just friends playing is the excuse they'd give when i finally got found. ❞

highschool memories were playing like a burning camera reel -- confrontations, slaps, darkness, suspensions after violence. ❝ ━ negative ten out of ten, wouldn't reccomend for anyone. bullying leaves a lasting effect that still leaves me with a deep mistrust of people and enclosed spaces. ❞ there's more, but that was the thick of it, but he's over it right ? probably more than he should admit, and yet he's comfortable enough to share.

It is explicitly stated that Rhaegar first thought himself to be the the prince that was promised, then Dany had a vision in which Rhaegar said his son Aegon was the prince that was promised and that a dragon had to have three heads and there must be one more. He had two children with Elia: Aegon and Rhaenys. The original dragon trio were Aegon, Rhaenys and Visenya. What's not clicking? Do these people even read? He thought he was the savior, then shifted to his son, then either 1) he wanted another sister for Aegon and went for Lyanna since Elia couldn't have more kids 2) thought the prince that was promised had to have both Stark and Targaryen ancestory (a song of ice and fire).

No, no they don’t read anon, because then how would they come up with ideas such as “there was no prophecy, it’s a fanon interpretation” and declare it with their whole chest? The same prophecy that is connected to one of the biggest plots, that is yet to be unveiled, and has had people in a frenzy for the past one and a half decades. A prophecy that was explicitly mentioned in affc

So what’s not clicking?

Can I also talk about how entitled and proud Rhaegar is to think the prophecy was about him and then definitely his son. Bro couldn’t fight to save his life but knew he was tptwp, and then went ahead and toppled a continent because of his ego. He ruined Elia and Lyanna’s lives, plunged the realm into a civil war, got his own house destroyed, KILLED HIS OWN CHILDREN and for what? To satisfy his own arrogance? For self-adulation and admiration? There is literally no greater cause here. How do you read a prophecy of all things, and think yup, this is 100% about me, I’m the chosen one, the special prince, who was talked about for centuries, the prophet, the one who’ll save lesser beings than myself from their doom, yup that’s me. Targ arrogance goes hard. Jfc.

There’s a lot of speculation about why Rhaeghar went after Lyanna. The whole “and his will be a song of ice and fire” does sort of fit as a reason Rhaegar would give himself for going after Lyanna, apart from the fact that he just found a gullible young girl at the tourney who had also done something that would bring her a lot of opprobrium (knight of the laughing tree) and saw his opportunity. Lyanna wanted a life of freedom, and Rhaegar promised it to her, and then took away everything from her, her family, her agency, and in the end her life, locked away in a tower. He did that because he could do that, and then give any reason for it because he’s the last heir to the Targaryen crown (at that time). But the other shoe did drop, there were consequences to his egregious actions, and the cocksure idiot hadn’t prepared for that.

Though as a reader, I would argue that the “ice” counterpart is not House Stark but rather the white walkers. The “ice” and “fire” analogues, for me, are the others and stannis and his red witch and the rhollor worshipers and, later, the targaryens with their dragons. I don’t think grrm (4:55) was referring to the starks as the ice because there are other northern houses as well, and would they be counted as the ice too? Anyway, it could be said that Rhaegar did either want another daughter (visenya) for the three heads of the dragon or had completely abandoned that idea by the time he met Lyanna, and decided that their son would be tptwp.

Either way, fuck rhaegar for all of eternity and then some.

What are your thoughts about Howard's Catwoman run?

The run being really gay doesn't save the writing from being really mediocre.

(More nuance below the cut)

Well that was snappy, unfortunately my thoughts are many and complicated and probably won't be entirely ironed out until a few months after she leaves the book or I reread the run again, or both. That phrase was something I said while reading through the series for the first time a some months ago that I still mostly stand by, but now feel the need to caveat and add nuance.

(Also, it feels weird that, because I put off answering this for months, the end of Howard’s run is just a few months away now, but I’m just going to assume the ending is neither so good it retroactively makes everything better or so bad it tanks the run with guilt by association)

When I say mediocre, I very specifically don't mean bad. I'm using mediocre to mean it's average, ordinary, of moderate quality. Not bad enough to hate, or even particularly dislike, but not good enough for me to shed a tear if it was suddenly canceled (which… seeing as it’s end is now on the horizon… I’m actually filled with anticipation as to what comes next.)

And like many multi-year runs, Howard's Catwoman has had it's ups and downs while it's low points are i think widely known: Her dialogue tends towards what i can only describe as AO3 generic, the plotting itself is sub-par, Gotham War disappointing even though there was no way to go into it with high expectations (joint effort i know, but even taking only half blame for it Tini Howard doesn't come out of that event looking remotely well), and I have an entire rant ready for how I dislike how Black Mask is used in that series.

1. The reintroduction of Eiko

But, that said, at this moment I do feel like calling out some highlights of Howard's run (or at least, the bits of it I really liked.)

Also yes, alot of this could be considered fanservice, but I’m at least acknowledging that things that make me happy don’t inherently make a run good. (but at least more enjoyable to slog through than Tom King’s batman or most of her New 52 stuff)

Okay, let me be clear, Eiko in this run is a shadow of her debut in Valentine's run but Selina's supporting cast has a worrying tendency to disappear without a trace after one, max two runs, so damn if it wasn't nice to see Eiko suddenly reappear in a major role in the Catwoman run after a 6 year absence and not have her confined to the dustbin of comic history alongside other Catwoman supporting cast members such as Gwen, Alice, Zee, Clutterbuck, Wilder, Arizona, and Cassandra Cartland (If you knew every single person i mentioned without having to check, I like you, and you like me also know too much about Catwoman)

If nothing else, if Eiko's appearances in this comic, and her guest appearances in other current Gotham stories (like Punchline: Gotham Game or Ram V's excellent Gotham Nocturne) manage to cement her as a persistent part of Catwoman's cast, this run will have done enough for me to earn a passing grade.

Also I like Eiko's new catsuit and not just because it makes it easier to tell her apart from Selina

2. Catwoman #43 & #44 (The Harley Quinn two parter)

Judging by the mood in the room, If anything gets me an angry response it's going to be this.

It's fun, it was a fun two parter, and honestly there are times when I wish more writers would stop trying to do the high drama stories they're kinda bad and instead write fun inconsequential side stories.

3. The queerness.

It’s not a lot, but for a character who’s been out as bi since 2015 Selina is never written that way (at least in the main comics, I understand the HQ show and the recent movies have either explicitly or implicitly had bi Selina). Like it’s so bad Selina doesn’t even get pride tie in stuff, no appearances in the pride anthologies or even pride variant cover. JFC Nightwing gets one every year and last time i checked he was still canonical cishet. And… a bit like Eiko, but less important, it’s nice to have another run where Catwoman is canonically queer. Selina acknowledging Eiko as an ex, flirting with other women, that Selina and Harley sharing a bed scene. It’s just nice to have that part of Selina’s character acknowledged.

Also it’s so minor but the gay bar called Conroy’s got me just a bit.

4. Knight Terrors

On balance, despite me having criticisms of it, I did like it as a version of “What does Selina’s worst nightmares look like”. It’s not quite as good as Devin Grayson’s take on the matter (and ain’t that a sentence) but I’m a big fan of Selina’s mind dark fears conjuring force a lot of catholic imagery and doing something actually interesting with the Sister Zero concept. (It’s really just a shame that this story is clearly setting something up for Gotham War that never actually gets paid off, which is wild considering that was literally the month after Knight Terrors)

Lastly:

5. Valmont

Look, I really liked Valmont for two reasons, one of which is superficial, one of which actually had thought put into it.

Superficially: Selina deserves a whipped subby bisexual twink, as treat. Sure he's a cocky asshole, sure he looks like pirate au ghostmaker, sure he's ready to murder anyone who looks like a threat to his dom love (and honestly anyone in general), but honestly that's all part of the charm.

Because Bruce, as the whole wedding thing shows, is big on these concrete declarations of affection, even as he’s really bad at actually expressing his affection in more casual ways. And Eiko, as she says, is “comfortable with these declarations, names. Things like titles and vows.” So in dating either of them Selina would be consenting being put into a box and labeled, even if it's a box as unconstrained as “dating” and a label as loose as “girlfriend”.

But, putting a bit of thought into things, Valmont has this really interesting role in the story. He's the obviously incorrect choice in a love triangle, but also the one who Selina would pick anyway.

Like, the issue before he dies the story teases a bit of romance with Bruce and Selina, and earlier there were some teases (or.. maybe acknowledgement is the right word?) between Selina and Eiko. There's two existing love interests for Selina, Bruce, who's the moral and safe choice, the wedding bells and gaggle of step kids choice. And there's Eiko, who's a major crime lord, one who's conducting business with some of the worst in Gotham. If it was just the two of them (especially if Eiko was closer to her Valentine personality), it'd be a pretty classic "the good boy and the bad boy girl" love triangle but Valmont is here, and he adds an interesting angle onto that love triangle(?) (is it still a triangle when there's three potential lover interests?).

(A reversal on Eiko and Selina’s very undefined relationship in Valentine’s run, which could be seen as divergence for the character but also kinda makes sense. With Eiko ending that run by shedding Catwoman (and identity that embodied personal freedom and also rebellion against her father) to become the head of the Hagisawa family (an identity marked by responsibility to the family and her place as her father’s heir) that going forward she’d be a lot less likely to engage in a nebulous undefined relationship when her life is now, by choice, very defined. It’s still however one of those things that assumes a non-zero amount of character development happened off screen.)

But Valmont? Valmont doesn’t ask anything *of* Selina.

Sure he does initially, “hey here’s this cat, I know where you live, join my thieves guild”. But this tactic gets him shot down by Selina and at best relegated to “untrusted ally” status (and more likely “useful but dangerous”). But after this, and after a brief break during the CatQuinn two-parter, Valmont’s back with a new tactic called “I’ll do literally anything you ask of me, including stopping killing people, and ask for nothing in return.” Which… with Selina being somewhat adverse to long term commitment (or commitment in general depending on the writer) this works.

Valmont’s hardly a healthier romantic option (he might not be the worst person Selina’s ever dated, but he’s still at the end of the day an arrogant invasive assassin) but he puts a spin on himself that makes Selina let her guard down around him and they do eventually become some vaguely undefined item.

And then in his final issue, Bruce accuses him of still being loyal to the league of assassins and of manipulating Selina. Then he kills again in the process of undoing a problem he caused, and gets in a big fight with Bruce about it. And when Valmont goes to kill Bruce, she kills Valmont which… It’s a weird moment for Selina, she’s normally very reserved about killing people and while yes needing to save Bruce could theoretically push her far enough. But also, it’s the best thing this run could do with Valmont.

Because Bruce’s accusations (along with Valmont’s general sketchiness) lead to this question with Valmont: does he genuinely love Selina, or is he using her for some unknown end? Because he know what he’s naturally like (down with murder) and we know he’s changed his behavior, but we don’t know whether it was because he wanted to be with Selina enough to change himself for that chance (which… understandable) or, if he was on some deep cover mission to manipulate Selina towards and he changed behavior in order to further his own covert ends. And… imo the possibility of it being one or the other is more interesting than any story you could get out of committing one way or the other.

And by killing Valmont, the run gets out of having to answer this question, which, again imo, is the most intelligent narrative decision this run made aside from bringing back Eiko.

That said, If in the last two issues Howard answers the question of “what really was up with Valmont” I’m retroactively taking back all of this praise and will be downgrading this run to "of poor quality but at least Eiko's here"

4. this is gonna sound nerdy, but with ava’s age and her mom’s, i figured it was the song that would make the most sense considering what music was like at the time. I Will by The Beatles was also a contender though.

YES! i'm so happy you liked their backstory build. it was necessary to flesh out so that we could understand where they're both coming from, as painful as that was to finally say. this was my plan for awhile, but gosh it was still hard to really write.

Alright, I’m caught up on PLL: OS and I have some...thoughts/theories

First, I should preface this by telling everyone who might be reading (and some of you are aware) that I am a moderator on the Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin reddit and a few weeks ago we had someone aggressively spoiling major plot points that turned out to be confirmed as true. It was unfortunate, but the moderators catch it all in the filters. We worked our asses off to keep the spoilers from reaching the sub.

NONE of what I’m writing about includes anything that I know. I will never disclose that information, as I believe everyone should go unspoiled. So anything that I talk about in PLL: OS has absolutely no correlation to what I know. I won’t bring up those plot points at all. I talk about things I don’t know. So you won’t see anything true here. Only speculation.

Now...so episodes 4 & 5: (spoilers below cut)

A lot happened in episode 4, notably Imogen’s stages of grief. I try to remember that Imogen is grieving the loss of her mother, but if she talked to me the way she talked to Tabby’s mom…ohhhh, chile. Then again, after seeing what horrible people the moms were in the flashbacks...maybe her lil pregnant ass is right.

I love Faran. I love that she takes no bullshit.

The Sheriff is an asshole. Still. And the fact that Noa’s mom had drugs, but WAIT...

CAN WE TALK ABOUT THE FACT THAT THE BOTTLE SAID “Rivers, Caleb” ON IT?!?! Is Caleb in Millwood?? Whaaaaaat? It might have just been a callback, but still.

My heart broke for Imogen during the Ouija board scene, because I said the same things to my mom after she died. It hurt. Bailee really nailed that, and so did the others. This is where they are bonded. This is how it happens. This is where their friendship blooms. I don’t think Davie killed herself.

The whole Psycho movie concept is awesome and it answered a ton of questions about Tabby as a character. Her control pinged my radar as someone who has lost control in the past and that ties back to the locker room cams. I had a hunch a while ago that Tabby was date-raped. This episode all but confirmed it for me. Explains why she buries herself in movies. She can’t get away from what happened to her, so she redirects and internalizes and uses movies as a way to cope.

I think Noa is up there as a favorite. She’s scrappy AF and her self-defense moves are on point. I shed a lil tear when she called to turn her mother in after being attacked. She’s got a hard outer-shell, but seems soft inside.

Ep 5:

Holy shit. The mothers were terrible to Angela. JFC. Maybe they deserve what they get. Maybe they deserve the Davie treatment. That’s horrifying. They were worse than Alison in PLL. A little pack of bullies. I would like to side note that I really love that we’re seeing characters we should like (adult moms) and their teen counterparts. Personally I’m conflicted, because I want to like the adults, but their teenage actions were despicable. I like having unlikable characters more than I thought I would.

Fun fact: Mouse wanting to tell someone what’s going on mirrors how Emily felt in the first season of PLL, which is kinda cool since Lea Salonga is related to Shay Mitchell.

“I’ll bring walkie-talkies from my moms’ pawn shop.” Omg, Mouse is such a dork and I love her. But we have got to talk about the old dude she is talking to. I am SOOOO uncomfortable. It’s so dangerous. What is she up to? I have theories.

The Faran/Kelly scene in the diner was really sweet. I like that Faran was 100% open to talking to her about self-harm. Despite her actions in the episode, she really does care.

Umm...so the creepy pedo Wes apologizes and then immediately goes back to “I do care about you” even though he’s sorry? Nah, not buying it. I don’t like that Tabby is back under his authority again. Hate it.

Halloween party when some dude it stalking you? Sure, sounds like a splendid idea.

Shawn is the only good man on this show. Change my mind. Well...okay, I’ll concede and say that Chip seems real sweet and that Mouse’s friend (I’m sorry, I can’t remember his name) is chill, too. But the whole football team (besides Shawn) can get rekt.

Tyler is the worst. He just hangs on to women like slime. My theory is that he sexually assaulted Tabby or Imogen (or both).

JFC, I am cringing so hard at this Mouse dinner roleplay scene. Stop. STAHP!!! This is weird. I don’t like it. I was literally physically uncomfortable watching it.

Faran going off on Kelly (or Karen? IDEK) was epic.

Stoned Mouse rivals Drunk Emily. I can’t choose though.

Noa’s, “Settle down, Tyler or I’ll get Shawn to beat the shit out of you” followed by Mouse’s “Or I’ll just do it.” Damn. Girl went from meek to killer. The girls are really coming into their own. Their friendship is wholesome. I’m here for it.

I am in love with the Faran/Tabby team up against Tyler. Faran’s little laugh after Tabby punched him. I died. “Should have shut your fucking mouth.”

I knew what was coming as soon as Tyler went into that bathroom. I mean…I might have just become a Masked Creeper fan. Cleaning up the town, one asshole at a time. Maybe I’ve just watched too much Dexter. But the thing is he had Imogen alone and didn’t hurt her. He could have gotten to any of the girls to hurt them...but he didn’t. It leads me to believe he only truly wants to punish the guilty.

Theory: Mouse was kidnapped as a child and that’s what’s up with all the missing posters and the survivor’s guilt and wanting to comfort parents who have lost their children.

Another theory: I always had a theory that Imogen’s baby was a product of rape. Though, still not confirmed, I highly suspect so. That’s why I was a little infuriated when she panicked and went to the school counselor to talk about abortion. It’s a hot topic. I won’t say more. But that scene pissed me off. She was a school nurse. She should have referred Imogen to talk to a doctor.

Girl’s secrets/theories:

Mouse- I believe she was kidnapped as a child on Halloween.

Imogen- I believe the baby is a product of date-rape. Explains why she’s detached from the baby and doesn’t seem to care when she puts herself in danger.

Tabby- I believe Tyler (or someone else...God if it was Wes, ugh...) raped her.

Noa- As of now I think her secret is that she was simply protecting her mother and I don’t know where it’s headed going forward.

Faran- Still trying to figure out what she has going on beneath the surface.

For the character ask meme: Ivarr (AC) and Halfdan (Vikings) 🧡

Ivarr the Boneless (Assassin's Creed: Valhalla)

First impression: Oh no, because honestly, I just knew he was going to be one of my problems from the start. Having the same hairstyle as Halfdan definitely didn't help either. From the start, I thought Ivarr was cruel (as he should be) and wasn't the right person to mentor Ceolbert, and as it turned out, I was right about that. But boy, let me tell you, I was devastated by the end of the Sciropscire arc, and honestly didn't see that twist coming, or maybe I was just too blinded by my love for Ivarr. Impression now: Not much has changed. I still like him after everything. In short, this gremlin bastard (affectionate) is my husband and I will love him forever. Favorite moment: All of them? Even that moment, too. I love him so much, jfc. His introduction in the cut scene is iconic, very memorable, and sets the tone and humor for his character. "Fashion a new crown and stick it on your melon. There you have it. You're the new king." I also really enjoyed the backstory he tells Eivor while they ride to kill Rhodri about how he got his scar. Idea for a story: I'm a complete slut for opposites attract, so I think it would be interesting to have a story where Ivarr goes soft for a kindly woman and struggles to learn and show affection in a 'normal' way. lbr, Ivarr's current idea of romance would be bringing you the severed head of an enemy. Also, obviously, an AU where Ceolbert doesn't die (or at least doesn't die by Ivarr's hand). I also think it would be interesting to explore what would happen if Ivarr had lived to participate in the final battle and if his presence could have meant Ubba lived. Unpopular opinion: I feel it's a simple opinion, but Ivarr is a good character. I think a lot of people take that with respect to his actions and personality. Is Ivarr a good person? No, his morals are wack and he legit enjoys killing and torturing people. It's like Ramsay from GoT, he's not a good person, but he's a good character. Favorite relationship: The mentorship Ivarr and Ceolbert have. I think Ivarr really cared for the boy, even admitted to Eivor Ceolbert was like a son, and though his methods aren't traditional you can see in-game that Ivarr was doing his best to train Ceolbert to be a good warrior. Favorite headcanon: Ivarr didn't always wear his hair in the sidecut. After being scarred by Rhodri he was ashamed that a Briton left a mark on him —a fierce drengr— so he always made sure his hair covered the scarred half of his face. The moment word reached him the Rhodri became king though? Ivarr's outlook changed, he shaved half his hair and wore the scar proudly, for it was given to him by a king.

Halfdan the Black (Vikings)

First impression: At first, I was unsure about him (and Harald). I knew they were being introduced as 'villains',' or at least as a threat to Ragnar's rule and legacy, but he grew on me, really fast, because it was hard not to love this crazy bastard. And lo and behold, he became my favorite character. It was the scene where he throws an egg at Harald that completely sold me. He was just a true Viking, wanting to raid and explore, but felt obligated by blood to help his brother achieve his dreams until Björn presented the opportunity to go with him to the Mediterranean. Impression now: I get inexplicably happy every time he's on-screen. Really deserved more screen time, and had the best character development in season 5. Must protecc at all costs, from himself and his brother. I love him...a lot. Favorite moment: Too many, but the opening of season 5 episode 10 when he and Harald are singing before the battle, and there's the sense of overwhelming dread between them and everyone listening. That moment just really stands out to me and I shed a tear every time because it's like Halfdan already knows he's going to die by his brother's hand. Idea for a story: So like definitely the obligatory, Harald doesn't kill his brother in battle AU. And ohhh, let see. I've tossed around a few ideas with an OC story with Halfdan, never written anything out for it. But the premise would be Halfdan, who's never really thought of marriage and isn't very good with women, gets completely taken for a loop when he meets a strong shieldmaiden. There'd be like a one-sided love triangle with Harald thinking he has a chance and being slightly jealous of his brother. It could happen one day once my WIPs settle down. Unpopular opinion: Simply because I've seen some disrespect on my man's name in the past ✋🏻but Halfdan is one of the most attractive character on the show. Favorite relationship: Halfdan and Harald —I love their brotherly moments and every time they sing 'my mother told me...' my heart leaps. Would 100% watch a spin-off series set in that span of time after the failed Paris raid and before the first journey to the Mediterranean of these two conquering kingdoms and being absolute murder bros. Halfdan and Björn is another friendship I didn't expect to love as much as I did. Initially, I thought it was a ploy between he and Harald to try to kill Björn, but that wasn't the case at all, no, what we got was a strong friendship that Halfdan ended up dying for. Favorite headcanon: Halfdan was a better brother to Harald than Harald was to Halfdan. And a bonus one that's really just some speculation on my part: the scar on Halfdan's neck is from a rope. It's too long to just be from a cut getting stitched and too clean around the edges for it to be from a cut being burned shut, so it's a friction burn. In short: headcanon that Halfdan was almost lynched by someone and was saved last minute by Harald but bore the scar for the rest of his life. (And how poetic/ironic is it that it's along the same scar that his brother killed him).

I'm here for the "Fanfic asks - for the askers" thing, and I'm going to pick several numbers, cause if it comes to give ego boosts, count me in. Ok, so 1. 2. 8. 10. 14

1 - I'm probably crazy for choosing this one, because I know too well that answering is really impossible. Every story gave me such incredible emotions, and I could really list all the reasons why one or another is my favorite, each one of them really touched my heart right. But Home To You has hit the biggest part.

2 - Every chapter of HTY is my favorite chapter. Having said that, Chapter 29 completely broke my heart, no kidding! I thought it was the final chapter, and I cried all the tears I could (for days, every time I thought about it...JFC 😂) sobbing like I haven't in so long, while reading. And at some point I hoped for a sequel of the series. Then with chapter 31, and his "I promised" I cried new tears, happy ones this time.

8 - What I like most about your writing? Ok, if I haven't said it before or if it wasn't obvious, I'm a sucker for slow burn/slow build, and the way you do it is brilliant. (So, you won't be surprised to know I LOVE Afterglow SO, SO much!!!!) And the fact that every story has everything in it, always! Each story makes you feel all kinds of emotions, always!

10&14 - I never thought about reading stories/love stories with wars or military stuff involved, not for any particular reason, it just never happened before. After reading most of your masterlist, I was sure by then I would also love something so new for me. I read Dear Dean and I fell madly, deeply in love with Dean and Bambi's love story.

Emmy, just let me tell you that you are amazing at lifting me up. I honestly do not deserve you! Lucky me!

I am also super grateful to hear that Afterglow has hit a spot with you. It's a story I want to tell and my slow burns basically happens because I need ALLLLLL the build up, otherwise it would just be something sad like, they kissed and made out and then they live happily ever after lol I wanted to show that the road to happiness isn't always easy. This is Us: OK, I don't know if any TV show ever had me shed more tears than this one did. Top 3 deaths: 1) William Hill - Randall's biological father was my comfort character; the fact that I simply adored Ron Cephas Jones (who portrayed him) probably added to that. (And yes, I cried when Ron died recently, too.) But OMG - the road trip... Randall holding his father's face in his hands and helping him die ... Randall driving home alone and seeing the ducks. BRUH. I was a mess for DAYS. 2) Miguel Rivas - I always felt bad for Miguel. He was wrongly vilified by so many, and we never really got to know him. He always felt like an outsider, and I was attached to him. I thought his death would be sad, but I did not expect to spend the episode that finally gave us his backstory and ultimate demise literally sobbing on my couch. I went through a whole box of Kleenex. My sister and I had to comfort each other. Painfully beautiful. 3) Jack Pearson - I mean, come on... you have to be heartless if you didn't lose your shit a little when Jack died. But... because we knew already happened for so long, it cushioned the blow. HA! I'm lying, I cried like a bitch.

Derek Shepherd - Grey's Anatomy - OK, I was not a Derek/Meredith fan. I'm not even a big Grey's Anatomy fan. So I was shocked to find myself weeping through this episode, but I did.

Mark Sloane - Grey's Anatomy - OK... I liked Sloane much less than I liked Derek. Parts of him grew on me, but I did not adore this character in any way, shape, or form. But again... I wept like a baby when he died. Mostly because of his friend's reactions and they way it hit close to home for me, but still...

Sarah Miller - The Last of Us - It gets me every time (and I've seen it a lot...). Could you even imagine? I would literally die... and the actors made us FEEL this. OOFH. Still not OK.

Henry & Sam - The Last of Us - I mean, you're not going to get through a zombie apocalypse without serious trauma... but JFC. This was ROUGH.

His hands send a chill through you. The sickly sweet voice of Taehyung that you dread has returned after weeks away. You were just beginning to enjoy your temporary freedom from his demanding fangs.

He had been away with some of his brothers visiting a kingdom to the North for business. Apparently their army of vampires was searching for new recruits because of an upcoming war. In the dark with no shelter from whatever creatures lurked, anything could easily rip you to shreds. Monstrous beasts worse than Taehyung lived in those woods. That was the lesson that taught you to never disobey Taehyung ever again.

You shut your eyes tightly, reminding yourself over and over not to open them again until Taehyung orders you to. You hear him open the door and then footsteps approaching again.

“Keep your eyes shut,” Taehyung reminds you, then you feel his lips pressing kisses on your thighs.
