writing tedcicle right now (no shot that me, tumblr user tedcicle, would be doing this, btw) and i just think its fun to take some of the relationship depth qsmp charlie has and allude to it here like early foreshadowing charlie is a firework, his moods are quick and chaotic and unpredictable as he is, naturally. sometimes his fuse blows and all of that energy he has gets directed straight into a downwards spiral. him and ted playfully argue about building but sometimes the words get harsher and meaner then they mean to and ted is the one stepping away, getting them back on the same page. ted is there to keep him grounded. when he's not there, charlie is allowed to boil over, explode, literally in some cases i just think they're funnnn to write a little dysfunctionally (kicking my feet giggling)

got bitten by a vampire bat and subsequently began sampling human blood

has exes ranging from as normal as his old college buddy to as weird as a triangle and an alien with 7 eyes who put a metal plate in his head

my main advice for writing an enemies to lovers relationship is to resist the urge to make the characters' loathing and attraction mutually exclusive opposing forces. it's okay if they're getting weirdly into it and having Thoughts whilst also sincerely wanting to kill each other with hammers.

getting fixated on an object show character is so hard because it's like Okay. this character is a twist antagonist from the previous season of the show. on a surface level she is manipulative and selfish, but harbours a deep regret for her previous harmful actions that resulted in a close friendship of hers being sabotaged. she introduces herself to a new contestant, initially only helping her for her own gain, but quickly develops an emotional attachment to her as their friendship becomes less transactional and more real, but once again her own toxic behaviour sabotages the only connection she has. she's now drowning completely in her guilt and self-hatred, believing herself to be irredeemably evil.

and then someone says "oh this character is really interesting where's she from!" and you have to say Well actually. She's a
