MANNN#forgetting how impossible it is to pursue rhe degree plan u actually want (advising hell) i feel like . theres just#so many diff things i want to learn now Knowing that im more solidified in my interests and who i am and what i would be interested in doing#and like.😭RGAAAAAQH TEARING MYHAIR OUTTT every other week i have a night where im sititng there like damn i couldve been sm1 completely dif#dgmw i still rly enjoy some of the upper div classes i Did take but what if i took x and liked it more or minored in y and it led me to z#bc i do feel rly set in where i am rn which . i DO ! like it but im never gna be in that environment where u have the flexibility to explore#ykwim . i wish i had taken physics and calc srsly . i always thought i hated that shit but i like it. i like it quite a lot actually😟#or more geology .. urrghh.. sprinkle in sme extra art history . no bc thats what actu pissed me off ab school#i rmbr wanting to dual major and they straight up told me no i cant . but then i was like maybe an arts major bio minor when i wanted to do#science illustration but sry we dont offer bio minor . ok bio major arh or studio art minor . no sry not enough open spots we rly only#reserve it for when we have extra openings post admission❤️#and then even late into sophomore year u would still be last in registration so all the cool classes would be closed#and then bc of covid half that shit was cancelled bc they couldnt transfer labs online (rip comparative vertebrate anatomy)#and then by senior yr an additional collection of classes were unavailable bc u dont have the prereqs bc the prereqs were cancelled during#covid and u dont have enough semesters left to actually take it . like it was gen such an awful experience so ik why i couldnt ever do what#i wanted but .😭 AND LIKE the classes i DID enjoy like genomics or molecular genetics were closed by registration and i had to email and beg#for access . thts crazy .literally crazy .#anyways . i think i want 2 start reading textbooks bc i think thats the closest ill get LMAOO#i remember seeing my coworker read a textbook for fun one time and idk why i just didnt understand why bc it seemed so dry but i Get it now#like yeah .. u knew what was up ..#sad too that like . i could theoretically audit a course but i Work..during the day .. so sad . so sad#guys wht if i just said yes to grad school (<the devil talking.dont agree)

genuinely done with netflix after TUA's dogshit final season, the AGGGTM show (it was okay but why didn't they let holly jackson write it??), and then dead boy detectives being cancelled
the worst part is i was surprised, i was GENUINELY shocked, i should've known but i didn't and i'm so fucking tired
also, not even a netflix thing, why are we getting a fourth season of ted lasso i fully do not want that
i am heavily considering going into film, i was gonna do comp sci but i am so bad at math? and i also hate the idea of the standard comp sci job? i wanted to make and design video games to help build a community and make friends the same way games did that for me but i honestly think shows and movies have done that too.. and it sounds objectively easier sorry i just fucking hate calculus oh my god

bad news is i have covid, good news is it's snowing which has cured my covid symptoms and returned me to a state of child like wonder last felt by the granddad in charlie and the chocolate factory when charlie got that golden ticket :D

It’s crazy to think I was 12 when stranger things first came out and season 5 will come out when I’m 21/22 (depending what time in 2025 it is released). I think the biggest con with shows taking so long to release new seasons is that your target demographic could literally age out before you even reach season 3. Like I’m so over it please free me from this hell.
#like I get Covid and the writers strike screwed things up but the biggest issue is making audiences wait over 6 months to find out if a#show is renewed or not which delays the filming process#I just wish they would commit to the shows they put out and allow them to finish before they get cancelled as well#like if you can’t ‘afford’ to do multiple seasons of a show because it didn’t get stranger things/bridgerton level views maybe the way you#choose to budget things is the problem not the audience#autumn rambles

Things that sillily make me happy: the fact that in the official Buffy chess set they released, Buffy and Angel are queen and king chess pieces.
And, I mean, it just makes sense that they would do this, of course. As it looks like this set was based on early season two, as Spike and Drusilla are the king and queen pieces for black.
But Buffy and Angel being king and queen pieces works so well, since they're paired together, of course. And equal to each other... and a battle couple. And more than anything, this is great because the queen's the most powerful piece on the board and Buffy's the most powerful character in the series, of course. And her being more powerful than Angel just tracks. Because she canonically is. And this makes me think of the many times where she saved him and he was the damsel.

#buffy the vampire slayer#bangel#i was looking at this set on ebay again. in thinking about christmas gifts for people#also i found out that there are three buffy board games. four if you you want to count that the unmatched buffy set that doesn't fully coun#but meh#i had thought there were three when i was browsing lately but now i know for sure. there's also an ats one. so if you want to count that#and not see angel as its own thing there are actually four#still bummed. though. that the ats expansion of the one buffy game got canceled on account of covid:( it sounded so cool#i'm also not counting the buffy chess set as a game: i'm meaning board games here. if you want to count the buffy chess set then#there's even more#basically (not counting the chess set) it looks like there was this one buffy game and then that game did a spinoff angel game#then after that (i think) there was a legendary version of buffy (legendary is a game series oc)#then after that there was a new buffy game that got an expansion set and then was going to have one more expansion set in the form of ats#but covid sadly ruined that plan:(#and then there's a game called 'unmatched' and there's a set you can get of that that adds buffy characters to the game. but the game itsel#isn't a buffy game#though don't quote me on this... (because i have not played the game) if you only have the buffy unmatched set perhaps it would just be a#buffy game. but it's not set out to be a buffy game or anything like that#i do know two people who have played the buffy unmatched set and really enjoyed it#me myself i've played the third buffy game i listed here (the one with one expansion and was supposed to have an angel one) and it was fun:

when i was in kg, around 10 girls had been selected for a inter school dance competition and after a few practice sessions, me and this other girl were asked to just sit in the front with a bunch of flower baskets. I realised years down the lane it was because I was not good at the dance LMAO TT
#listen I don’t know why they chose me in the first place#but our school won the second prize and bc I was on the team I got the same gifts too#so it was kind of a win I just had to sit there look pretty and bat my eyelashes#autopsy.#there’s a theme of me getting selected for things I am not good at. like I got selected for a traditional art competition in 2019#which I was not terrible at#but there’re people way better than me (the competition got cancelled due to covid so whatever).#Also for a graphic designing competition???? i am soo scared that one of my actors has covid and bc it was a small rehearsal and i’m only half unpacked from college i didn’t even have a mask that i could wear for the second half in this bag anddd. Probably she is fine and is just worn out and having allergies but also i am also not feeling Great (likely for the same reasons!) but um. really fucking nervous
#at least she and her bf masked once they realized she was feeling Actively unwell and not just tired#but. i am really scared#esp bc i haven’t been able to get the booster (had covid for the first time when the booster came out and then was at the semester and not#- in a position to handle the side effects)#she was really not doing well too#like i’ll cancel the show if there’s covid in the cast we’ll just have to#but also. man. idk how i could handle that physically#would sadly give me a really great excuse not to do mac. bc i am miserable#i am probably catastrophizing! but i’m worried#ted talks
