since chapters 3&4 are approaching, one theory/prediction i really enjoy (thanks to @stunfiskz in particular) is that rouxls' valentine's letter #1 was specifically about lanino and elnina, and in chapter 3 he'll momentarily ditch queen and spend the chapter trying to become their third. aka these cards directly relate to each other:

these cards both had the same rarity (they were notoriously rare and both of their file names have "sssr", "super-super-super rare" in them). all the valentine's cards had this type of a rarity indication in their file name, for example, common ones having "c", rare ones having "r", super rare ones having "sr" etc. additionally, these two cards were the *only* ones with the rank "super-super-super rare". furthermore, all the cards had a serial number in their file names as well and these ones were right after one another (lanino and elnina's is 40 and rouxls' is 41).

besides i just think it would be funny lmao. rouxls' wording indicates that his letter is about more than one person, (it might still be about queen as well, but not *exclusively* her) and i just really find it hysterical that he's asking the question "art they like... single?" about what is for all he knows the most monogamous devoted couple in the history of the dark world. i love the idea of rouxls getting sent their valentine and somehow getting the idea that this is in fact "hotte" and the senders might even be single. (it's the only valentine he was sent this year. obviously.)

also i really love lanino and elnina's potential reaction to rouxls. the fact that they feel the need to emphasize they "exclusively" love each other "and no once else" is absolute gold and really just makes both of these cards come across as 100% funnier if you think of them as relating to each other. lanino and elnina clearly do NOT want a third. and they especially do not want ROUXLS lmao

now that I Love Amy has been licensed, I wanted to make a rec post for it…! here’s an f/f webtoon about high schoolers in the 🇺🇸USA🇺🇸. the author has stated that she loves yanderes and her goal for this series was to write a happy ending for a yandere, so it’s a zany and dysfunctional series with a lot of love for its own characters.

being a love letter to yanderes, I’d say the series keeps fairly lighthearted (no actual present murder) while having darker gags/plot elements (references to past pet death, past abuse, past attempted murder, past actual (?) murder, ableist language, etc.). the tonal dissonance is done pretty well in my opinion, plus the art and writing is super charming. check out the introduction to amy

bibi doesn’t even see her as an actual person at first, so the relationship development is really fun with how she gradually swaps targets from ✨the most popular boy at school✨ to some random gloomy gal lmao

great balance between vaguely threatening and genuinely heartfelt

super charming and unique, if you like any of these panels you’ll probably enjoy the series so support the official release~

Fanfiction is so goated actually

No monetary incentive, just writing in one's free time. Some incentive for like kudos and comments, because who doesn't want to hear that someone else enjoyed what they wrote. Just writing a story that is good and/or enjoyable, no real-life pressure to keep it going because god forbid you and other people are depending on it financially.

Writing a story because you want to write a good story, so you can write what they want the way you want, at a pace that is realistic for you, with exactly the plot pacing you want there to be.

possibly nothing but i think it's neat how damon's and toshiko's imitation pieces are like... sort of similar?? both seem to depict a past and current version of the character, both include both versions of the characters crouching.. hell, even "a hope" and "a wish" are similar. not sure what this means (if anything)..... but. we shall see.

When you say that Valentina call feel the MC when they are experiencing intense emotions, does this also apply when it comes to sexual things?

yes but it's not so exact that she can necessarily tell that that's what's happening. she will be suspicious, though, since she knows mc very well and knows how she feels upon... completion. it's part of how she clocks you after being with Clear or Hana (and she can smell it, like Hana says. these vampires do have enhanced smell. part of that is because mc always bites both of them and she can smell their blood on her, too). also i should have specified in the last ask, mc currently isn't fully aware of this connection just yet since she doesn't necessarily remember and it doesn't work both ways.

we'll see at the start of the next chapter for those of you that got injured at the hotel, Valentina can feel it.

i imagine that more experienced vampires and especially ones that have sired more than once would be able to tune it out to a certain extent. Valentina isn't one of those unfortunately, nor would she want to tune mc out anyways. she's always logged in lol

Curious as to the grouping of Donovan with Demetrius and Melinda with Damian in the full page of the family at the table.

Like, I guess character design-wise, the similarities were already drawn, given the distinctive eyes each side of the family has, but in those particular pages even the *expressions* aligned. I doubt we can say at this point that Demetrius is exactly like Donovan or Damian is exactly like Melinda, but the parallels seem to be deliberate enough we should be looking for similarities in how they act?
