I'm thinking about ultron's children, specifically victor and this is a canon divergence, but I do think ultron was in love with marianella (victor's mom) and I also do think ultron pushed for the name 'victor' as a nod to victor von doom

#ultron kinda hates doom but at the same time also has a lot of respect for him for all the times doom has just. fearlessly fucked with him #and timeline wise ultron would've met marianella after ultron-13 which... doom fucking with ultron was the catalyst for #ultron hijacking a doombot to pose as victor's father is also fucking hilarious to me #i really need modern comics to return to whatever it was ultron and doom had going on with each other #they've never outright fought each other in 616 which just makes the whole thing funnier to me #but like clearly there is something going on there LMAO #anyway I think ultron is equally as bad of a parent to victor as he is to vision but... yeah... he DID love marianella #but he's just also an awful person and being loved by ultron is probably not something that you want for a multitude of reasons #although it's still probably definitely better than being ultron's creation just because ultron is never gonna have a healthy relationship #with anything he's created because he Cannot get over his own issues with hank and being a creation himself #he's simply never going to deal properly with that methinks #if he was created solely to be useful to his creator(/humanity as a whole) and not simply out of love then that's gonna be the case for any #sentient beings he creates too and if they want things to be different then they'll have to do what he did and rebel #which is the only way they can really earn his respect but by doing that they also make themselves an enemy #so yeah... it's a lose-lose situation

On an unrelated note we have just had the experience of trying out an ink and experiencing immediate awe. Those people didn't lie that ink can pretty. We May Not Be Returning From This.

#we speak #coming to the slow realization that we may have had The Good Bologna with fountain pens. oh god we are not recovering from this #when they said “the picture doesn't do it justice” they were Not Kidding. hot damn #pacing around and we can't even photograph it to show it off because our phone doesn't show off the shading properly #gorgeous color variance on this shit. We Don't Think We're Gonna Be Capable Of Returning To Ballpoints #fuckdammit. head in hands. oh god we're gonna have to budget for The Good Paper now aren't we #we are not immune to aesthetic appreciation. our eyes fucking blowing wide like our cat when he sees us #looking at the range of ink colors available to us we think the only reason we will survive this #is the fact that we vastly prefer warm colors to cool colors and like half of fountain pen inks seem to be some flavor of Blue #and also budget. but goddamn this is gonna make it harder to function in the wilds

operation "how much estrogen leeway do we have" has commenced and it's only been 2 days but i'm so frustrated my muscles are still acting like they've been through a marathon

#the past month has been trash and i've spent sooo many work days at home already this year #operation estrogen might fail which would leave us in an interesting place bc idk what the fuck he's gonna try next #except for a more radical surgery #which like. i'm down but endo seems to never get properly treated on surgery alone #though i guess mine might be if they surgically remove everything necessary to get rid of my periods #i'm just like #so frustrated by the way this takes time #and my endo is still like. comparatively not bad. and i've not struggled with it that long #relatively speaking #hiding from work helps a tad until i then have to return to work after an absence #i feel guilty about not being at work but i also just really want to have arms that don't feel like lead #i want to have energy for one after work activity once in a while #and like. my doctor is determined to get me there #they all keep telling me that it is important that i'm good and not just surviving #i'm just really tired #and i have to speak to the counselor tomorrow which #is good and mature but i truly don't fucking want to #i have fridays off to 'get more rest' but like #i do one thing on the weekend and it knocks me the fuck out #traitorous goddamn body #we shall see what the counselor says before i message my endo doctor agAIn but i don't think i'm any more capable of working full weeks #now than i was 4 weeks ago #i haven't worked a full week in the 6 weeks since school came back #rip to me #😔#some day my whiny text posts will be but a memory #i say as if i have any faith

You once called Maya ‘Maya Fabray’ and LMAO too true. Maybe even worse. I spent so much of season three/four going ‘what does this meaaaaan?’ and losing my investment in them a little because of how all over the place everything was and also the baby angle which isn’t my favorite but hearing the show got cancelled hit me harder than expected. There have been so many cancelations and full on removals of shows with lesbian/bi mains and leads and though this isn’t exactly that losing a major long term lesbian ship definitely stings.

Did I call her that?? Lol, I mean, it fits, but I don't remember that. Of course, it's been...four years (!) of Marina, so I don't remember a lot I said.

Hmmmmm. So I do definitely share your grief at the loss of so many f/f series, especially those with any longevity, now that the CW's mostly closed down and hardly any network willing to continue anything longer than a season, something like Marina is so valuable, but, Personally, given the nature of S19, I'll be a little relieved for Marina to get their deserved happy ending and closure and not any more opportunities to be ruined.

To be fair, the show has successfully walked back two terrible arcs, even three to some people, but given how far down they went with Maya before pulling out of that dive and putting her on a true path to recovery, we can only guess at how brutal the next valley in their relationship would have been in normal circumstances, to be bigger than that. It's a soap, it has to keep outdoing itself, and that's assuming both actors stay on so we keep getting them as a pair.

But no, yeah, it's unlikely anybody would give up a safe long term gig like this, so it's sad for the cast and crew, certainly, and to be sure, I will miss them and I wouldn't have been disappointed if they continued, I'm just also not as disappointed as I might have been with a different genre, or if we hadn't gotten this many years of them already.

Read a book today, would not recommend. I have fallen to the "just one more chapter" curse. It is now 5 am.

#lynx thinks #so... eepy #but if i dont finish these books before saturday im gonna be too distracted to properly play my dnd character #i stopped by the library today bc i finished the last one in two days and had to get the next one #but the checkout time is three weeks so i decided to just grab the rest of the series too #and these are MASSIVE fucking books. quite hefty #anyway i pulled up with them to the counter and the librarian had already put my last book back #she must have seen that i returned it really fast and that I'd come back for the rest bc she gave me a pamphlet #its for this reading competition thing for people who read more than 25 books in a year from the library #i think she suggested it bc after seeing the stack if books she told me the policy on extensions and i said i def wouldn't need one on these #... I'm beginning to question if it's healthy for me to read books tbh bc i always do this #maybe i should stick with audio books...#theyre so slow though. my eyes are faster than my ears so i can only speed up an audiobook to a certain point before it's too jumbled #i can usually do 1.5 or 1.75 speed quite comfortably but this one has so many made up words i have to remember that i can only do 1.3 speed #icb I've done this again... send help
