I dunno if it'd be accurate, but there's this one scene that lives in my head of Trufflu Scott and Artic sitting outside at night and she's like "…So, you mentioned you have a husband. Are you looking for him?"

But Scott basically has this reaction, noticeably tensing up and insisting that his husband has been here all along and everything is totally normal-

Artic pauses for a moment with this look of confusion and concern, since the man is clearly Unwell, but decides not to pry as she looks back up at what few stars peek out from behind the smoggy clouds.

"Well, there's someone I've been looking for. Ollie's been gone for... Ever since this happened. B-But I know he's out there somewhere! He has to be."

And just reminiscing on what her Onceler was like, maybe only referring to him with nicknames so Scott doesn't panic at the thought of there being other Oncelers out there? Maybe both of them share stories!

And since Artic and Ollie were separated due to the virus reaching their valley before they ever got together, maybe as she's reflecting on all these memories she has this Moment of realization, muttering under her breath "...I think I love him."

I just think about Trufflu Scott and Artic a lot, they're great :D Two fellas in the wasteland who both lost their respective Oncelers and are in so much denial about whatever fate may have befallen their beloved twinks-

Ever since their hug, I could totally see Artic helping Scott around camp (or wherever they are) and wanting to make him proud. That is, until he inevitably loses it like you hinted at before hehehe >:D

I think it would be a pretty devastating turn of events once things go sour with Tflu! Scott's mental health continues to decline for some reason (I haven't decided yet what makes him go overboard—)

Aw man I wish I had a solid answer but a lot of OG truffula flu was carried out on old ask blogs and many of them have been deleted by now so there's no way to read the story as it was 😔 the AU has become a puzzle with many missing pieces and you gotta make sense of it with whatever pieces are left.

Your best bet would be reading Entre, Rocky, and One-ler's blogs from the start-- a lot of big plot points for camp Entre are archived on there, and you can find a lot of archieved posts from Swag and Bitter's deleted blogs as well which are super important to the plot.

I also offer u This blog which is run by one of the mods who was in the OG truffula flu-- it has info on how the AU/infection started, info about the types of infected, and it reblogs more recent content of the AU! So it's something in handy if you wanna see some of the more recent trufflu content from the past years :^)

You can also check out the truffula flu tag on our beloved Onceler fandom historian @miru667 's blog! And Entre's mod has recently been answering asks about the AU and trufflu Entre! so if you want more fun facts about it you can check his truffula flu tag too :D

i know you don't really go there anymore but how do you feel about someone still making up canon things for truffula flu with all the other mods of the characters seemingly having distanced themselves from it? seems weird to me and makes me wonder if other mods of the 'main' crew know that this is happening

oh we totally do! i don't see anything wrong with it. i don't have access to my old discord account so i can't see for myself right now but last i checked, chase (entre's mod) was even running a trufflu server. i know he's never distanced himself from it, he still answers questions about it and helps new fans get the gist of it.

the au was made for everyone in the fandom to play with! the only stuff we can say is ours is camp entre. from day 1 we've always encouraged other people to make their own stories and characters in the au and have fun with it.

but if you mean specifically what people are doing with camp entre characters, well......that's completely out of my control at this point so i don't dwell on it too much. pinterest is littered with all my trufflu rocky art and reaction images LMAO not much i can do about that. it's okay. because we were there from the beginning of the fandom, my contributions (and the other mods') are like embedded into the very fabric of the fandom and when it gets to that point you kinda have to just accept it's become something bigger than you. i'm sure at this point there's even rocky fans who don't even know who i am lol

for numerous reasons! which could easily be bogged down to mental health reasons so uhhh essentially

1) Onceler fandom just has not been good for my mental health at fucking all, I think it's pretty telling since I've been trying to dissociate myself from the fandon in small ways (although I guess I'm still in it?)(not in the fandom or left it, just a secret third thing)

like I'll still reblog some Onceler stuff, draw Onceler stuff (just the OCs I don't care about Canon Oncie and hate the original movie), keep up with shit like Trufflu and Weehawken etc. but yeah I just don't really consider myself to be a Onceling at all anymore

2) I felt bogged down and chained up when trying to write for him since he's a Onceler?? IDK I just felt like I didn't have the complete creative freedom I want + need for OCs so he's getting deoncelerized and becoming a regular ass OC (already even has a new design)

everything is also just outdated and not relevant to his new lore

3) got too popular... kinda stupid reason probably but 500+ followers for an OC ask blog is fucking terrifying and I'm not really sure how to explain why it sucks so much fucking balls in my POV, having 80+ asks in your inbox at all times is just exhausting man

as for the future of my OC, like I said he's becoming a regular ass OC no longer connected to the Lorax in anyway, no longer will be referred to as Methcook-ler or even using names like Ted, Audrey, or O'hare etc.

YES she has a Ted! Or rather, she HAD one...his name is Ted Schroder Wiggins, but we can call him Ted Schroder. He's a loud and funny kid but he's also pretty responsible. Schroder was her childhood best friend, and then he was her travel buddy in the apocalypse and Audrey will tell you that it was only because of him that she managed to survive those first couple of years. Ok adding onto these ideas for Trufflu Artic

Hear me out: What if she fights with a stop sign- Just her hitting a zombie in the head like "it's time to STOP" aksjfdf

But also a longer weapon works with the wings I think! Yknow winged characters being associated with more ranged weapons, which kinda sets her apart since Artic is usually depicted with dual swords

OOH and it plays kinda like an insect glaive from Monster Hunter!

Her pole vaulting with it and throwing it down at a zombie on the ground like a spear AND THEN using it as a springboard to jump off!! Acrobatic fucking pirouette off the handle babey!!!!

hey howdy ive been away for a while but im healing from surgery and rebuilding drawing stamina. so here's a redesign of beth as a child but for the purpose of me joining @campweehawken this year heehaha

below cut is story info for me to participate but if u just wanna enjoy the drawing go ahead

ok! so. tldr version: this is an iteration of my oc beth where she's a child (didnt settle on an exact age; her range is 7-10), she's being dumped here by her parents neva and orlando collins while they're busy with business and dont have time this year to "indulge" their kid in attention. she's a bit quiet at first cuz she doesn't get out much but once she Starts talking, its a bit hard to quiet her down. she loves disney and especially princesses, and constantly describes very weird dreams she has where she seems to see people she knows, but isnt quite sure how she does, knows various info on them that she wouldnt know, and can sometimes talk about "different worlds". but it's all made up from an overactive imagination. thats what her dad says anyway

the full context version: if you knew beth before, you might know her in her mainverse (Riverview), as a powerful teen ghost demon princess. this is Not her. you might know her from a very short time in trufflu. also not her. if you know the discord-only (sometimes shared in google docs and illustrations) beach au, this is her. kind of. it's based off that version. for a refresher, in that au, beth is the rich and spoiled but very kind, generous, and loving (think like charlotte in princess and the frog) daughter of paradise pier resort's owner, orlando collins and famous musician neva collins. every summer, she would live at the resort in her family's special penthouse. ever since her dad had the place built and opened, they would go, and there was a very mysterious energy around the place. in this universe, beth had very strange psychic powers that was a secret between her and her parents, and claims she could connect with different timelines/realities. orlando collins, her father, is actually a once-ler trying to hide it in order to escape the "downfall" legacy and pass it on to his daughter instead. he's jokingly called disney-ler by my friends lol. collins is 100% aware of the very weird things happening with his daughter and the resort and tries to use it to his advantage along with audio hypnosis technology he developed.

why does all this info matter? this is the basic background to get the context on this weehawken version. this is a VARIATION of it (its not exactly that beach au universe, since theres extremely minor canon differences, but based on it). for the actual camp context, this version of beth is visiting the camp because, as i said, her parents are busy. her mom is starting to rise in her music career, her dad has Just purchased the area to build paradise pier resort after the success of other resorts and tourist locations, so neither really have time for her. i say this isn't Exactly the same beach canon because i wanted beth to have grown up at the resort, but for the sake of having her Not be a baby at camp, i changed this lore a little. lol. so this version of beth is Semi aware she might have powers, but doesn't really think they're "powers" and more "doesn't everybody do this? oops". ok, i think thats all the important context?? bonus fact, her shoes are those light-up sneakers that blink when she walks

gosh I'm sorry I just took a big fat stare at andrew while I was scrolling your art tag again as I always do, and I just realized for the 100th fucking time that he looks very similar to trufflu entre and there was even a post captioned "father of the apocalypse" on your old artblog. Are you hiding something from us chase.. I've literally never heard of the guy from anyone I've only ever seen him in your art tag who is he.

I wish I had the time and energy to develop my trufflu plot like I have The Drafts, I have the ideas, the song playlists, the Character Development written in my head, i just need to actually create it and I really wanna because it's so cool yall, I'm so hyped, because it's about Lil A and Mute and Dev and I'm involving characters from green eggs and ham and hortom hears a who and UGH, i want to sell my soul so some devil to get the strength to draw my IDEAS, i don't want them to just rot away. This fandom was honestly my saving grace. I've no doubt I would have gone to some Very Bad Places mentally if it hadn't been as big as it was during 2012. My best friend then was severely depressed, not getting the help he needed and it was an all around hellish time. I was giving too much of myself and this was all I had at the time that was just for me (the rest of my friends DID NOT GET IT but they tolerated following me anyway) so I latched on HARD.

Onceler fandom was insanely active in its heyday. Like, hundreds of posts a day active. There was always a huge backlog to go through and I'd purposely set my alarm hours earlier than I needed to just so I could catch up before going to uni for the day. It was an absolute delight being able to interact with your favourites and seeing the crazy shit other fans came up with as well as how the interactions ended up shaping the characters themselves. There were a bunch of different oncelers that had their own very distinct personalities despite all originating from the same character and it still kind of blows my mind how it worked, and worked well.

You could refresh and scroll for minutes before reaching what you'd just been looking at and I've never seen my dash so active before or since. There was a sense of community that I've never come close to feeling in any other fandom because people were just ALWAYS on, even those of us who's time zones didn't match the Americans. Whats a nubcat? Scroll for a bit and see dana's stray doodle of a little onceler fluffball that everyone else just went with. Ogleby defense squad? One face? Dyed pastel hair? Watch it all unfold in front of your very eyes!

Not to mention that the talented folks who ran the blogs were like. Genuinely brilliant storytellers and I'm gonna go ahead and say actors since a lot of the time it felt like watching actual tv. Not all of them were artists but those that were, were goddamn drawing MACHINES. With how fast the RPing was in those days it was truly something to behold with owl and skully and adori all feeding off each other's creative energy. I still follow most of them where I can and even though they're people I will never meet I'm still so proud of how far they all came as artists. The threads that the mods would follow were always entertaining and the constant blending of comedy and drama, my god it was just a joy to experience.

I think one of the truly special things was that there were multiple AUs all going on at once. If things got a bit heavy in trufflu, there was usually some fun nonsense or shippy stuff going on in the highschool universe for a bit of a breather so no one story ever felt oversaturated at least to me. Also! You could interact with the mods in real time to get a more in depth explanation of what their character had done/said straight after something was posted (often very helpful towards understanding motivations and consequences).

I know a lot of us moved on because of time passing and many of the mods started losing interest or finding it cringey to continue being a part of, but I honestly feel that the fandom was completely unique and unable to be replicated. Idk I for one still find a smile on my face when something onceler related crosses my dash though its much rarer nowadays and nothing will ever make me regret being a part of it.

This shit literally saved me. It was the most fun I've ever had online and I can't see it ever being topped. I miss the onceler fandom.

can anyone give me any experiences of what it was like to be in the onceler fandom or be like. exposed to it in 2012 - 2013. im trying to write a little article thing for my personal website but i cant find any hard evidence that people were actually affected by it. im trying to write about how it started, what happened, and why it had the impact that it did. god bless if you respond to this post
