can we please start bringing back the concept of don't like don't read instead of making callout posts every time we don't enjoy a certain fic or trope

How do you feel about tadc crackships?
That they're hilarious and I would totally write for one. All ships for the tadc fandom are welcome here, even the unusual ones. This is an anti shipping-war zone. I will not entertain drama over consenting fictional characters on my blog, we're here to have fun!
For example, you could request for Bubble x the Sun and I would write it. LMAO

People will say John Green characters are unrealistic but they are pretentious and annoying in the exact same way I was pretentious and annoying as a teenager.

Obsessed with the old cosmic horror literature's insistence on harping on the inherent terror of incorrect architecture. Like so long as the madness is kept hidden away solely in another's mind its fine, but if someone were to put that madness into action- if they were to effectively Share the contents of their mind in a Physical Form- it would be enough to infect someone. The implication that understanding forbidden knowledge is worse than just knowing of it existing.

Self proclaimed proshitters are always so ‘anti harassment’ and ‘curate your own space’ and ‘block and move on’ and whatever until someone makes a zine and doesn’t want you participating like… it’s very funny. Lmao. Rofl even.

[Image Description:
The first image is a screenshot of tags that say: "#you lost me at psychological thriller, could make it more consumable to people who don't like horror, right? #like i watched ddlc out of the corner of my eye in a tiny window, i wouldn't be able to handle watching a show [scared face emoji]".
The second image is the same as the first image, but cropped so that it reads: "could make it my consumable".

I want someone to make one of these new sterile teen gay romance shows on Netflix but halfway through they pull a Doki Doki Literature Club and it turns into a fucked up fourth wall breaking psychological thriller that deconstructs the heteronormative and middle class ideals of the genre

Something that I have noticed is I know almost nobody my age that goes to a food pantry. I know people who regularly run out of money for food and in general have to eat an unsuitable diet because that’s what they can afford and they still don’t go to a food bank, im not sure if it’s because they’re embarrassed or maybe if you didn’t grow up going you don’t know much about it but if you’re financially struggling I really recommend it. And look into other options for food assistance too like community fridges and gardens and other programs that can assist you, where I live Salvation Army pays for an allotted amount of grocery delivery for low income people every month, in the summer farmers take excess produce to the library to be taken by anyone who needs it, etc. There are a LOT of resources for free food that you can look into especially if you are literally not eating because of your financial situation

the men and boys are innocent too.
we cry "the innocent women and children" to appeal to the masses, to try and force their sympathy, but the men and boys are innocent too.
I have seen sons crying out for their mothers, their fathers, their siblings. I have seen them break down at the loss of their families. I have seen them cling to their dead and grieve.
I have seen fathers cradle their dead children, seen them kiss their faces and hold their little hands. I have seen them faint with grief when asked to identify the dead. I have seen them carry their sons and daughters. I have seen them fasting to provide what little they can for their families.
I have seen men and boys digging through the rubble with just their bare hands, I have seen them comforting strangers, playing with children, rocking them, hushing them, even if the face of such imminent danger. I have seen them cry, seen them grieve, seen them break down into each other's arms, seen them be selfless, beyond selfless, becoming something I don't have a word for.
I have seen the men who are doctors refuse to leave their patients, even when they have no medicine or supplies to give them, even when they're threatened with bombings. I have seen fathers who have lost all their children pick orphans up into their arms and proclaim them their child so they are not alone. I have seen men and boys digging pets out of the rubble.
the men are innocent too. the men and boys are being hurt and killed too. the men and boys are grieving too. the men and boys are scared too. the men and boys are fighting to save their people too. the men and boys deserve to be fought for too.

14 year old artists listen to me right now (gripping you by the shoulders) STOP caring about your "internet presence" right naow. Draw slower and stop trying to boil your art down to an acceptable marketable brand

This is so interesting to me, if this in fact the reason why food is so prominent in the books. My father used to read them to me before bed, and by the third book, we were both so tired of reading about descriptions of food, we decided to stop reading them all together. Different strokes for different folks, I guess. Wild.
guys I had this realization the other day that Redwall works really well for reading aloud, and kinda half-remembered something about the author reading to kids? So I looked it up to see if I had made a connection.
And it turns out, yes, actually, because he read aloud to kids at a school for the blind. But all the books they gave him to read were depressing. So he wrote Redwall, a story about heroism and courage and making it through struggles, and filled it with so many sensory, visual details so he could give them something better and I just-- that's so wholesome-- help
