when people talk about june i dont think theyre doing it right. they give her like cute pigtails and croptops and programmer socks and all these girly interests like makeup. no. she wears nothing but nic cage t-shirts and cargo shorts. she still doesnt know what a bra is. i dont think she's ever stepped foot in a bath and body works in her entire life. i think she uses 3-in-one body wash/shampoo.

aw I'm so glad you think it's wonderful!! RotS doesn't happen too different for the most part, but Anakin just reports Palpatine, Mace & Co go to kill Palps and get their asses kicked and Palps orders Order 66 and the Empire rises without its numero uno scary guy Darth Vader

#palps makes up for the lack of apprentice with inquisitors pretty fast #and probably does get another apprentice?? but i havent thought abt him much lolll #i'm not a HUNDRED percent on where anakin is when o66 happens he's either getting his shit mildly whipped at the temple bc hes v outnumbere #OR he's at padme's at first and heads to the temple once he sees It Going Down to try find survivors (and doesnt get his shit so whipped)#usually im faster at working out the details of AUs but both of these have Appeal loll so its hard to choose #either way he's got 1. loads of survivor's guilt and 2. feels like he caused all this even if he didnt complete his Descent #thanks for the ask!#skywalkers apart au

Fun fact: if you make a compilation of all Adam scenes - trailers, shorts, and mentions included - it would be 45 minutes long

#rwde #i roughly slapped together a chronological order of the wf/adam video and it was 3 hours #iirc volumes 1-6 including trailers and shorts is abt 20 hours #so the personal arc of one of four titular heroes gets a whopping 15% of screentime and her personal antagonist less than 4%#its so funny how many people will launch a crusade against a character who gets only FOUR PERCENT of the shows runtime while he's alive #and exactly zero of his scenes are actually abt him. we never get to truly meet Adam like we do w Killmonger or Magneto #both of those guys had the first scene of their movies dedicated to their backstory!!! it sets the tone of the whole damn thing!!#but adam doesn't even get exposition. most of his stuff is either shrieked out in song or implied by behavior and scar #this is smth thats in my essay but i cant help but keep gnawing on it like a rabid dog #besides what is the rwde tag if not a testing ground for my arguments

I am going insane about this, like I have long been aware that not everyone mentally processes visually (not primarily, sometimes not much)... but now I'm in three groupchats with friends who are explaining to me — a person who reflexively over-visualizes every single thing ever, to the detriment of my writing and my self-cringe reflex and probably lots of things — but they're explaining that they only visualize things when they make the effort to??? Notes: This is what I was working on all up until November! I wanted to finish it in time for a fan event, but, it didn't quite happen in time that way. (Maybe I can finish it later this year?!) For now, please enjoy the preview! I was also working on this together with a mutual - the track choice was mainly their idea, but I was trying to help find scenes that'd fit, and I managed to make quite a few moments work; You'll notice it's slightly different from my usual styles, but I'm also trying to relate specific moments and framing rather clearly here!!

(I'll admit theres a couple lines I thought were harder to work with; I'll figure those out later, but the track was overall fun for them regardless and I really enjoyed trying to make this!!) {As usual, a bit of manipulating scenes does happen, but its not ultra-heavy edits; all of these scenes come direct from canon formats for the most part, with some simple scenic manipulating otherwise!}

it’s not even funny how dot’s quaxwell is easily the best written starter so far…

floragato is still my favorite of the three, and she gets points for her great backstory and personality, but it is kinda annoying that theyve only really done One kind of episode with her (jealousy arcs) and fuecoco’s just The Silly One and they’ve sorta passed on doing anything super interesting with him so far.

quaxwell meanwhile has been consistently endearing and has had a good amount of interesting screentime and interactions, and has the most interesting dynamic with his trainer where he’s basically her older brother trying to look out for her and help her get comfortable with herself, rather than the reverse we typically see. this show’s gotten me to like the quaxly line more than i did initially tbh

#btw i know this isnt ash’s arc and we shouldnt expect 1:1 parallels with him #but i just realized… the kids dont really train in this series? which is weird?#ok thats not totally true. we get a couple of episodes focusing on training them #but dots been left out of that #and the consequence is that we havent seen a good percent of the roster in action #dot straight up says that tinkatink has never battled before the gym battle #which is like… weird? bc she should know to try and get tinkatink some experience before doing that?#and thats also why kilowattrels and hattrems evolutions feel unearned. we’ve barely even seen them spar if at all #i think rn its distracting because theyre in a position where they really should be training. its like their study time #like we had time for a jealousy episode and the next ‘’pokemon gets lost oh noooo’’ episode is right after this #but we cant show the kids attempting to build their battle skills and bond with their pokemon?#hz lb #theyre using their time very weirdly here tbh. idk how i feel about this chapter #echoed voice

i keep seeing "gifted kid" dunks that remind me of "you people cant do anything" so ill just say more often than not the "gifted kid" mentioned is mostly talking about the phenomenon of neurodivergent kids who ended up relatively academically successful thanks to good teachers, comfort of planned schedules of days, testing and grading thats consistent thru elementary to highschool completely tanking in/post college and having extreme adjustment issues, long periods of "failure" its not about getting an A+ in third grade once, like all internet viral topics im sure people started applying it to everything but it was an exclusively neurodivergent thing

#mypost #neurodivergent #rant #like i was a top 1% student in the entire country. then i proceeded to not pass a single class in the first 2 years of college #i never even made a former gifted kid post but i get it so bad because i wavered soooo hard #i was a top student in 7th and 8th. tasted mediocre grades in 9th. i was an honor student at 10th and then below mediocre grades in 11th 12 #and then i got into 1 percent college #like i did that cycle twice i was gifted formerly gifted gifted and then formerly gifted again
