you quickly got ready before setting up some blankets and pillows in your movie room. soon enough you heard the familiar knock of rafe at your door, opening it up to see rafe standing with a bouquet of flowers in one hand and a bag full of snacks in the other.

“oh my gosh! you shouldn’t have!” you exclaimed as rafe handed you the pink lilies. “seriously rafe i’m running out of room to put all of these flowers.” he followed you into the kitchen where you placed the flowers into a vase before turning around to greet rafe properly. he wrapped his arm around your waist and picked you up easily as you threw your arms around his neck. “thank you” you placed a small kiss on his cheek before he placed you back down on the floor.

“so needy today baby” he chuckled as you grabbed onto his hand pulling into the movie room. you pushed him down on the couch, sitting down next to him, you pulled a blanket over you, handing him one too.

“okay bambi time” you smiled at him before pressing play on the movie. as you watched the movie rafewrapped his arm around your shoulder and you snuggled into his chest. he was trying to pay attention to the movie but he couldn’t help to watch you with a grin on your face as you mouthed the words. as faline came onto the screen, you looked over at rafe poking him, “look rafe that’s us.”

rafe couldn’t help but to smile, “i thought you were bambi doll.”

“well i am but i’m letting you be my bambi.” you giggled before settling your head back on to rafe’s chest, focus shifting back to the movie.

“i thought flower was a girl why is he a guy now.” rafe said turning to you, clearly more into the movie than expected.

“no he’s a boy he just has a cute voice.” you replied quickly, eyes still glued to the screen.

“you have a cute voice.” you blushed nestling your head further into rafe’s chest, he begun playing with your hair.

“i like it when you do that, feels nice.” if you weren’t watching your favourite movie you could definitely fall asleep with how cozy you were.

as the movie ended you sat up, turning to rafe, “did you like it? or did you love it?” you said smiling at him.

“it was good baby. i’m not gonna lie i always thought bambi was a girl, maybe that’s just because i think of you.” he said tucking a strand of hair behind your ear. you both smiled at each other, eyes locked as rafe’s hand moved to the back your head, his thumb stroking your hair. your heads moved closer and closer until your lips finally touched for a sweet delicate kiss. as you pulled away cheeks flushed, you played with the bambi plushie in your lap before a lightbulb went off in your head.

“time for bambi 2!” you exclaimed grabbing the remote.

I really appreciate this actually, thank you. And yeah tbh, I haven’t been super duper mentally great for like… maybe the last year and a half. It’s been affecting my mood and interest in doing things pretty bad. The state of pretty much everything right now on top of pre-existing burnout was not doing me any favors. Just thinking about how Noah would be when ur one ur period (I just started mine for the first time in a while bc mine is messed up in so many ways and so I’m in my feels rn)

And like other ppls takes I’ve seen on this, he does his research, he’s attentive, he looks after you really well etc and while I don’t doubt that is what happens eventually, I don’t think it’d be like that at first.

I mean if we think about it, growing up it doesn’t seem like he’d of been around girls/young women in the same sense that someone with sisters or close female friend groups would have. So like while he absolutely wants to help you in any way he can and wants to make sure ur okay and show that it’s not a big deal. He’s definitely internally freaking out ab it.

like he obviously knows periods exist and they’re awful and the overall basics but i feel like he’ll offer to go to the shop to get you some supplies bc you’ve started unexpectedly and feel all great and helpful and then get there and be like WHY ARE THERE 475682 TYPES OF PADS??? Ok so for like… some fallout of the little ramble I went on last night:

I know for a fact some of the expectations I have of myself are unrealistic for where I am at the moment; I just started sharing original content. I just dedicated myself to improving my animation skills. I’m still figuring out where I want to go in life as someone who wants to see their stories come to life one day, whether indie cartoon or webcomic or both. It’s not like I’ve been at this for a long time and I’m upset with stagnating- I’m getting started with working toward what I want and just being upset that I didn’t get started sooner or differently, or working faster than I can. But I’m not the first to feel that way, I think this is a thing a lot of artists go through during their process, even ones who are inspirational. Not even three years ago, I was a super sheltered artist who barely shared her original ideas with anyone. Now I’m starting to stretch out and open myself and come face to face with all the issues that come with being open for the first time.

Yeah, I really wish I could snap my fingers and have my own cartoon or comic with a huge base of followers and fans rn, I wish I could have a group of super duper close friends I do everything with, but the reality is that I need to get there first and that’s ok because I’m only just beginning to get there. Someday I will and it’ll be great and I’ll be in the shoes of people I really want to be in the shoes of right now. I think the most important thing is just acknowledging that I’m on my way to something great and the journey matters just as much as the goal. And even when I get there, there’s still another journey to make to get somewhere even better.

It’s like that for every artist, there’ll always be things we want to do and be I think. Always a bigger fish and all that. But the most important thing is feeling like a champ as you chug along. I might not fully register everything I said here now, there’s no such thing as being a different person overnight, but one day it’ll happen and it’s really gonna change everything, even if it takes a while to happen in the first place.

Anyway that’s pretty much it, I will get back to drawing sillies

omg of course! i had a little like waking up routine both for a productive day and also sometimes thats all im getting done before i am, taken by sleep again, i like tonymoly's peach lip balm, i used jack black but i was always super aware of the cost and how much i was using and how dwindling it was an also the tube cracked really early on in use gfghfg but i liked that other wise so maybe like that one for a purse for its sunscreen like im wearing a mask but you know the sun but the peach one comes in a little peach! i use a thayer mist-er for getting up and throughout the day, i also use that brand to wash my face a while back a vine i think went around and that saved my life personally i used to get these really deep scarring white heads and now i dont anymore! ill try to find a link but its like rose toner from that brand, dr bronners rose Just a drop and then i rinse and add lotion i used the oil free clean and clear moiturizier but im trying to find a better face lotion cause i dont want to use that brand for it, i use their blotting sheers which also save my life but i need to replace that too gfhgfhfg then whether im going out or not i finish with a zinc sunscreen as the vinester suggests i havnt found one thats like my home sunscreen but as long as youre not swimming zinc is the way to go for you skin

then lotion i havnt found a forever home lotion but ouai is legit worth the price the best lotion ive ever used thus far, i also like the kiss my face brand its sometimes hard to find but a very nice quality for the price point, for like bath and body works i like anything they do with peppermint cause i can Really feel that in there but other than that its price for brand hype same with lush but a little nicer on the skin the banana one and charity pot are my, were my go toes for that i want to get in more intended body oil but i use just food grade coconut oil for body oil an mouth stuff

really really feeling the boka toothpaste and i also love love cocofloss it wouldnt seem like it would be good for my small impossible teeth but ive never had a snag or a tangle problem despite how thick the strands are and they have the best nonmint flavors on the market imo, i use different kids toothpastes for my tongue rn im going through hello's strawberry! doesnt feel substantial enough on the teeth tho

before i go to bed i do aloe on my face and petroleum jelly on my lips and nose Holes like i just that on throughout the day too when the weather is dry i chap and burn and all that like crrraaazy but i got gifted the tonymoly's rose sleeping mask ooze in a container and wow does that ever feel nice instantly

cortas rose water to cut mouthwash, specially when i get brands where you have to dilute but also like to face freshen and and stuff when i finish a bottle ill drink water out of it until that gets gross and then ill use the bottle to clean brushes and then toss it, the great cycle

and i rec a perfume or body spray in the morning to get your wrists and neck while in bed and my fave deodorant rn is native, they want me to suffer and die cause they didnt re-release their spiced eggnog but i use like the french vanilla buttercream i think its called rn i try a few out and some are hit and miss

soap wise i use love, beauty and planet argan oil and lavender! fave fave fave smell ever, the rose is nice too it has a very good wet earth undersmell to it, when i shower i throw a few drops of like imitation vanilla on the tub floor!

I have adhd and I tend to not speak until I'm spoken to, but once I start talking I don't stop easily lol. If I'm talking about something I'm especially interested in I can literally go on for hours at a time. I'm really into witchcraft, mythology, most cartoons, all of the twilight movies except new moon cause I don't like seeing ppl get sad, and languages, of which I'm currently learning seven (almost none of which are remotely useful lol) I especially love dead languages, rn I'm learning ancient Egyptian and Latin and I am ✨obsessed✨.

I'm a huge history nerd but I hate hearing about war and politics because they can be kinda triggering for me, i don't rlly like violence unless I know it's explicitly fake (so supernatural horror movies r usually good but if it seems to plausible I start to freak out lol). I'm incredibly sensitive but I think since I talk so much and overthink constantly I'm a lot more likely to just communicate with someone instead of arguing or fighting with them, (not that I can or would want to fight anyone I hate all physical activity so much lol) and I love love and being romanced but I have pretty bad trust issues

My favorite genre of music is probably hyperpop even though I listen to literally everything (one of my favorite songs is an Icelandic lullaby about the ghost of a child calling out to its mom) and I almost always have headphones on at 100% volume.

My receiving love languages are acts of service, gift giving, and quality time and my giving love languages are gift giving and quality time, I'll cry while watching anything even though I hate crying in front of people, and I love literally all animals (except centipedes, they scare me a lot) and would jump in front of a Mac truck for literally any stray cat, and I can and have walked into mildly unsafe areas for the sake of getting a better glimpse at some raccoons
