And really, all of this is just a mirror - you wanting to control how things 'should be' because there were so many things you went through that you think shouldn't have. But those moments are apart of you-'

Miguel's likes 'WAIT WOAH STOP TALKING'

They start bringing up Gabriel and Xina and shit from the comics.

Everyone's like 'Who the hell is Gabriel-" meanwhile Miguel is on the floor sobbing going 'mi hermano. mi hermano pequeno 😭😭😭'

And it ends with them all hugging Miguel after this person just read him for filth using the power of Isekai Canon Knowledge

my argument is that it gets to that point because the fandom as a whole just lets it slide by never holding the right people accountable for their actions. they allow the needless bullying to happen. they allow the rhetoric to get crazier and crazier. they allow people to get fucking crucified for shit that isn't even remotely inappropriate. they reblog posts they don't believe in because they don't want to be the odd one out and get accused of something by someone with more followers than them. it's just... we, as a whole, need to support each other more and put our foot down when shit like that starts happening.

like, i agree with you. i do. you're absolutely, undoubtedly right in what you say, but... i just can't bring myself to argue that, because it's in response to what was a senseless attack to begin with. and we shouldn't need to defend ourselves and our communities against what isn't true.

homophobia, bullying, and trolling are irrational, illogical pursuits and i can't stand the idea of treating them with any ounce of seriousness in this context. to apologize would be to accept their absurdity and validate their accusations—accusations we know in our heart of hearts to be incorrect and baseless. and i won't ever do that! i won't give them that satisfaction and i wish others wouldn't either.

Objection(denial) to ur point that Rollo doesn’t have a toned figure. Until I see the twst team crank out more official art of him, I’m of the belief that he at least AT LEAST had a toned figure. Ur telling me this man who had not problem walking up those stairs bc he be walking up those stairs on the (probable) regular. He a clean freak so you already know he’s cleaning in his free time, and idk about you but dusting, sweeping, mopping etc is tiring and this man probably does chores as a hobby. I mean, I wouldn’t call Rollo “out of shape” either 😂 He definitely seems more physically fit than the Board Game Club noodles boys, who were both struggling to make it up the bell tower. (Azul kind of gets a pass on this, being that he normally doesn’t have legs.) Rollo has probably built up pretty solid legs due to his diligence in tending to the Bell of Salvation, always going up every day and no matter what the weather to polish it.

I don’t know about those chores translating into also having buff arm as well though 😅 (only because I personally know “clean freaks” that still have noodle arms). I’d think you’d have to be pretty rigorous about cleaning to actually develop muscles from it. The little peeks we see of his figure seems to imply a more slender frame…? Then again, maybe this isn’t entirely accurate given that Silver and Sebek’s arms got nerfed in their live 2D models compared to their card art… I don’t know, Rollo still looks pretty skinny in his official artwork (though it’s a little hard to tell because his sleeves become puffy at some point). The whole outfit gives the illusion of size and volume because of how much fabric there is.

I think the same is true of Rollo; he wants to conceal his pain and his crimson flower plot. (… This is me saying I don’t want to have another confused breakdown if TWST ever reveals that Rollo is secretly muscular because I already had enough distress when I learned that about Rook—)

About Rollo’s height 🤔 if we compare his model to those of other characters, he seems to be around the same height as… Rook (177cm or 5’8”)??? So he’s definitely decently tall. bcjsbsksnxks This is actually kind of a funny because someone I know said they’re shocked Rollo isn’t short. According to them, he has “short energy” because of all his rage which sounds like a mild jab at Riddle.

All jokes and Rollo bullying aside, I think he’s probably on the skinny/slim side but is also decently fit, just not to the extent of a super athletic character or a character that regularly goes out of their way to plan workouts. When I think of the word “toned”, I picture well defined muscles, which I think is definitely more true of his legs than of his upper body.

I have been wanting to write wlw fics for a while but I’ve also been pretty stuck with writing so I’m gonna throw out some quick headcanons of Kate Bishop with a Filipina gf reader

After you had graduated college, you decided to move to New York for some change in your life. On your second night in the city, you checked out the bar by your place, which is where you met Kate and her friends.

Throughout the summer, you spent almost everyday with each other, growing closer with time.

As the days grew colder and the leaves fell from the tree, the one thing that seemed to blossom was your feelings for one another.

A few days before December, you and Kate finally became a couple.

As excited as you were to call the cute girl from the bar your girlfriend, you were also nervous for your family to meet her. Your family only knew as much as you told them which caused them to make the initiative to visit you for the holidays. Kate reassured you that you had nothing to worry about after you had spent the days leading up to your family's arrival worrying about how things will go.

When your family finally arrived, things were already better than you had expected. Days before, you had taught Kate "Mano Po" so she was prepared to greet your parents. As she was about to bow towards your dad, he stopped her and brought her into a hug.

"Welcome to the family, Kate!" Your dad cheerfully said before lugging a grocery bag full of wrapped gifts to the living room. The rest of your family hugged Kate and you until they were comfortable in your living space.

Once dinner was ready, you all sat at the table to eat. Kate had become an expert at cooking chicken adobo, which she took a lot of pride in. Especially when your parents' faces lit up the moment they took a bite.

You introduced Kate to your favorite dessert growing up, bibingka. She shamelessly ate five servings of it, but your family didn't mind. They were just glad she enjoyed it as much as you did.

But, they were more happy with how you looked at one another with so much love and admiration for one another. It has been a while since they saw you smile as wide and laugh as loud as you did. They always wanted you to find true love, no matter who it was with.

You were relieved that the holidays were not as stressful as you thought would be. Moreso, you were over the moon that Kate had received your family's blessing and that you would be spending more holidays together.

Mano Po = a greeting/gesture as a sign of respect for elders. The person greeting the elder will bow towards the elder and presses their head against the elder's offered hand

Chicken adobo = chicken stew marinated in soy sauce and spices

Bibingka = rice/coconut cake; typically, this is eaten as breakfast but I mainly eat it as dessert

Ever meet someone whose life would be so much better if they just let go of the gender roles holding them back?

I just had lunch with a friend who, for the last five years, has been in the same place: boyfriend she loves. He hasn’t asked her to marry him. She wants marriage, kids, the whole thing - can’t ask cause she’s the woman 🤨

So she’s now 8 years with this guy. And living in what I’m seeing as a self-imposed stagnation because he won’t ask…

How much of your life are you willing to put on hold for someone else to maybe do something?

If he’s known for the last 5 years of this relationship that marriage is wanted and he’s not giving it - maybe he can’t. Why won’t he? She won’t ask. 5 years of not asking? This lack of communication is a red flag, and I *know* having a conversation that could potentially end something you’ve been a part of for 8 years isn’t easy… but she’s not getting happier… what do you get in the end of this that isn’t regret?

Why would you let one person decide your happiness? Write your story? As a woman will you just wait until a man takes the lead? Your wants and desires on the back burner until he decides? If he decides.

I find that hard to accept. 3 years in a relationship with my boyfriend, I asked him to marry me and he said yes. 6 months later we were married. 12 years together now.

And you know, I was shaking asking him. We’d been living together for two years at this point, but let’s be real - there’s a difference from living together and formally making a commitment together (however that commitment is done. Marriage is just one way. I wanted -and had the option available - a legal commitment with tax breaks and what not.) But that’s what I wanted and if he didn’t want that too after 3 years together, then we weren’t compatible enough for a commitment. Because, honestly, I knew after 2 years - but it took me a year to get the courage to ask because I knew he was fine where we were at. He was comfortable just being with me, but I… I wanted more. And since I’m the one who wanted to take us to another level of commitment, I asked.

And he said yes. Because it was important to me, and it still meant he could be by my side, which is what he wanted. Match.

(What if he’d said no?!? Then we weren’t a match. My courage to ask was my declaration to move forward on a path I wanted to go. If he had said no without a timeline of his own to present as an alternative, how long would I wait at that intersection? If he didn’t want to be tied to me in marriage, why would I tie my path to him and sit where I didn’t want to be?)

I’ve had more than one woman in my life say they could never ask. Or some men would feel emasculated by the woman asking… I am so glad my husband doesn’t gauge his masculinity on how dependent his wife is of his decisions. In fact, I don’t think he ever measures his masculinity at all. What does that even really mean? He cooks. He cleans. He’s a stay at home dad. He’s 6’2”, extremely hirsute (a word he taught me - fucking love a human with a vocabulary). He has a dick so large he can readjust my insides any time he wants to - which isn’t often since he’s ace, but that’s okay 😊

We’re partners. We want to grow together and support each other. What does it matter who proposes? The point is the conversation is started and we moved forward. Gender roles be damned. We set our own roles in our house.

Mirabel glared at her "mijo go to your room hm?" She asked smiling. The boy ran off on parce. "WHAT THE F-" she cut pepa's shouting "DONT YOU DARE SHOUT AT ME!" Mirabel was surprisingly louder than pepa. Dolroes covered her ears and isabella gave her earplugs. She put them on. "I RAISED THAT BOY! I GAVE MY CHILDHOOD UP TO HIM!" Andrew has anger issues. He's got a big ego and is pretty hot-headed. However, most of his struggles lie with not being open to talking about his problems. He has his fair share of yucky memories from childhood, and growing up, he was sorta taught that violence is one of the most effective ways to deal with people. As an adult, he's more or less grown out of that mindset, but he can still get confrontational, which is where the anger issues play a part. Luckily, he's picked up drumming as a coping mechanism, so he'll go slam on his drums if he's really pissed off. Unfortunately, that only leads to him bottling up his emotions more because he feels that since the initial anger is gone, he is okay. (Spoiler alert: he's not)

Eric is not good at expressing his feelings through words at all. Whispering sweet nothings, romantic one-liners, flirty banter, it's just not his thing. He gets quite flustered when put in a romantic situation and, depending on the person, he'll either shut down almost entirely and become a blushy puddle, or he'll go "tsundere mode" where he tries to replace his butterflies with anger and swear he's fine while blushing up a storm. Because of all of this, he prefers to express his love through actions. Little acts of kindness like offering to pay for a meal go a long way in showing just how much he cares about the guys. He doesn't always act like it, but he adores them~.

Christian isn't too secretive of a person, but the biggest secret he does have is his natural hair color. It is obviously dyed, but his natural hair is platinum blonde. He really dislikes it and doesn't like it when people bring it up.

Nathan is an absolute sweetheart who has the patience of a saint and is a very cheerful and bubbly person. So, at first glance, you might not guess he suffers from depression and self-esteem issues. He's been dealing with it since he was little, and it's caused a roller coaster of emotions throughout his life, as well as some bad mistakes. Not even his friends know the full extent of it because he doesn't want them to worry or treat him like he needs to be babied. He's a soft boi, but he's strong and knows he can handle it on his own.
