hope we all know that this isn't just any paul aron who we're gonna see as the f1 reserve next year…
it's the paul who's been in love with racing ever since he was a baby, who wanted to race just so he could grow up to be like his brother. the paul who travels around to support his brother or his team even when he's got a weekend off.
it's the paul who finished third in his first-ever season of formula 3, who was in the fight for the title up until the last round (and would've had a much better chance if not for the team's mistake in spa).
it's the paul who fit so well into the mercedes profile, who expressed his gratitude to the team and their work whenever he could, who fought so hard to make them proud.
it's the paul who was always going to be put behind kimi in toto wolff's eyes, no matter how well he performed.
it's the paul who had to leave everything he had grown up with, his team of many years, his close friends and staff members, and move on. who had to let go of everything he knew from before and go alone.
it's the paul who went into his first full formula 2 season with hopes and dreams instead of expectations; who said he was there to learn and grow, and then he would see where that would take him.
it's the paul who failed to get into the top ten in qualifying for the first round of the 2024 season, but still managed a p5 in the sprint – and a podium in the feature, despite a time penalty, and got to celebrate in parc ferme with his brother and trainer.
it's the paul who, as a rookie, went onto the podium every round in the first seven rounds. who's been consistent like few others in a series (and team) known for its inconsistency.
it's the paul who never forgets to credit and thank his family, team and trainer, acknowledging that every success is thanks to a team effort – and that even if things don't go as well as planned, the team still did their best to help him out.
it's the paul who thanks to his determination and hard work managed to impress his f2 team principal, oliver oakes, so much that the latter thought "i need this guy on my team" when he became the alpine f1 principal.
it's the paul who fights every setback with an attitude of revenge instead of hopelessness; despite everything he's been through, he never gives up. he wants to prove everyone wrong.
it's the paul who turns every heartbreak – from mechanical failures to tactical missteps – into fuel for his fire. it's the paul who reminds us that success isn't a straight line; success is the product of unwavering determination and the courage to keep going.
it's a paul who's learned so much, grown so much stronger; who's been through so many hardships and said "you know what? i'm going to learn from this and come out stronger on the other side", and that's exactly what he did. i'm so proud to have gotten to follow him on this journey, and i can't wait to see where this next chapter of his life will lead him.
our paul aron. 💙
#so so so insanely proud of him#last year in macau? when we realized he was leaving mercedes? we were heartbroken... i had so much hope but no expectations#not because i didnt believe in him but because this world is so cruel even to someone as good as him#for this season... i assumed things would be way too hard and that i would be happy for every point. and i still am happy for every point!!#but seeing him on the podium that first weekend after not having expected it at all.... i knew he could do this#we never stopped believing did we? and now we're here#i love every one of you who's shared this journey with me#onto 2025 ❤️#f1#f2#paul aron#bwt alpine f1 team#formula two#formula 2#formula 1#formula one

i love how it's not just binghe too, but all the people around him, and how we as the readers slowly learn that everything shen yuan does as shen qingqiu is actually not the norm, but very much out of place in the world of PIDW.
we see everything from shen yuan's eyes, and to him, his kind actions make sense, so we think they make sense too, but they don't. liu qingge was stunned at being saved by shen qingqiu, not just because he thought shen qingqiu hated him, but because it was an entirely selfless thing to do and SQQ wanted nothing in return but a chance at friendship. liu qingge returns that tenfold later with undying loyalty because an action like that is one of a kind
the same goes for zhuzhi-lang, who was, thus far, abhorred by everyone who saw him; SQQ stopped gongyi xiao from killing him simply because he saw a creature defending its habitat, not harming anyone, and even said they were the ones at fault for disturbing and agitating it, while also (tho unawarely) helping zhuzhi-lang get the sun-moon dew mushroom he wanted.
you see it with ning yingying and the other disciples; shen qingqiu notes that when he returns to qing jing peak after traveling, ning yingying seems to have missed him more than she did luo binghe, that she wasn't a grieving wreck, but stronger than ever and delighted to see him. ming fang was the one to step forward when SQQ "died" to tell luo binghe that SQQ always believed in him and was heart broken for years; ming fang was even willing to die to avenge SQQ's death, only stopping when ning yingying told him that shizun would never want that for them, which, again, is very uncommon for a world that puts so much honor on "dying for the cause".
and with luo binghe specifically it's important to remember that binghe doesn't fall in love with his shizun the moment he's nice(r) to him, he's actually confused, acknowledging that he thought his teacher didn't care about him at all until shen qingqiu said he believed binghe would win the match (which, in binghe's limited pov, was an huge risk that put SQQ's and the sect's honor on the line) and then got poisoned to protect him. like, shen qingqiu threw himself in front of his disciple and got injected with an incurable poison that causes a slow, painful death, to protect binghe.
if it was just about kindness then binghe would have fallen in love with ning yingying, but he didn't, it's about how much shen qingqiu was willing to risk for him to protect him, how much shen qingqiu believed in him even if binghe didn't believe in himself (as it says in book 1: "no one had ever believed in him like this"). the other peak masters wouldn't have done that, they wouldn't have been cruel, but they wouldn't have let binghe sleep in their house either, or protect him so fiercely, or spoil him so much.
in short, SQQ inspires others to give back the kindness he gives them; "a drop of kindness must be repaid by a flood" as zhuzhi-lang puts it.
One thing i feel like people misunderstand in Luo Binghe's character is the belief that he would have fallen for any other peak lord that became his Shizun and was not absolutely horrible to him like Og!Shen Qingqiu was when that's just not likely. The reason why Luo Binghe fell for post-transmitgation Shen Qingqiu is not because he suddenly became a teacher who didn't abuse him and treated him like any other discipline, it's because Shen Qingqiu consistently went out of his way to be kind to Luo Binghe in a way no one else in the world would have, like, what Shen Yuan did may seem basic to some people, but in the PIDW world? Bro was being the epitome of unrealistic kidness and he did ALL that only for Binghe because remember, that's his little sheep. Luo Binghe wouldn't have fallen for any other peak lord who became his Shizun because they wouldn't have treated him with the same amount of kindness (and preferential treatment) Shen Qingqiu gave him because that genuinely did not exist in the PIDW world until Shen Yuan transmitgated
#i think the thoughts n feelings got unleashed in me again#I JUST LOVE HIM SO MUCH#and OP you are so right. ppl dont acknowledge enough how unique shen yuans kindness is in the pidw world#its pretty much unheard of#i also love how sqq never brings up liu qingges qi deviation like it doesnt even occur to him that this is a life debt#he only secretly hopes liu qingge might help him or protect him in the future#but he isnt even mad or disappointed when he cant!!! when liu qingge couldnt stop binghe or get sqqs body back#sqq didnt even blame him or anything!! he was surprised that people would even put in that much effort for him!!#he never blamed binghe either#didnt even occur to him#he knew binghe had the protagonists invulnerability and still jumped in front of him and he would do it again#when binghe showed up at his bedside kneeling and crying all shen yuan could think about was how cruel binghe had been treated before#and how binghe shouldnt be grateful for all the horrors he went through#he doesnt even realize how life changing this is to binghe#''all that past mistreatment and abuse completely forgotten because hed saved luo binghe once?'' YES SHEN YUAN. YES#because it wasnt just that!!! it wasnt just saving his life it was BELIEVING in him!!#ahem. anyway#svsss#luo binghe#shen qingqiu#svsss meta

one thing that i dont think people aknowledge enoigh about barneys role as a spy when it comes to his generalize relations with other rebels and regular citizens is the very real chance that some people, even after knowing his reasons for joining up with the cps, are going to dislike him on the basis that he could not retain his role within them without participating in the cruel and unjust actions required by definition
like, he would have had to torture citizens and interrogate them, wr all saw the chair in his "office" even if he didnt participate directly he would have had to allow it regardless to keep his cover, and if he ever had a posting outaide the trainstation? he possibly would have had to co duct raids, and even if he didnt, many people are going to have had more experience at the hads of cps during raids than what barney would be doing at the trainstation,
because really, as we all hopefully know with regards to real cops, there is no good cop, you are either a good cop in that you do your job thereby participating in the inherantly cruel system made to target certain groups of people and the culture that ensures it will always be that way, or allowing it at the very least, making you a bad person in the long run, or a good person who tries to stop that system and therefore a bad cop who ends up bullied or killed at the extreme by other cops to protect thwir own, and the cps are the very extreme of what the militarized body of cops are in the world now are, protecring a fascist status quo, meaning that barney had to conform publiccaly within their ranks for his own safety so he can do his job as a spy
and while spying is a worthy cause to save lives of rebels and to relay important information, it does not erase the harm he has to do or enable directly day to day, and while plenty of people dive into how that effects barneys own psyche, theres less so an interrogation of how it effects others views on him, from unrelated rebels who may not have known him before the uorising to citizens who chose the rebels side, to even the people closest to barney, meaning kleiner, eli, alyx, and gordon,
this is even before we get into how many people know of barneys spy status, i know personally i believe he had to let other rebels believe he was a turn coat for thier and his own safety and cover, something like that doesnt go away easy even when you find out after that he was on your side all along becuz youre going to know that he had to perform to standard anyways, the distrust i imagine is much more when you didnt even know him before and now you have a man in cp garb saying hes on your side in the middle of chaos
and of course, the itch in the back of the main gangs brains, knowing what hes up to when hes not around, seeing a new blood stain on his unigorm if he doesnt have the time to take it off before making his way over, not recognizi g him since you inly see a uniform in the cirner of your eye and panicking begore you realize its only barney but the uneasiness doesnt go away even after he changes becuase you know, maybe more than anyone else except him what hes doing when you arent around, even if you KNOW hes on your side, that hes your friend who may even have known you for most of your life in alyxs case, like, even if you know its for the greater good, the smell of boot shine and blood badly masked by lemon scented cleaning agent sticking to the back of your throat as it wafts off one so close to you is hard to ignore

TT: I should have gone looking for her. TT: Why didn't I? [...] GG: because you were busy trying to make the best of this situation? TT: John was too. But he went to look for his father. [...] GG: john was being john, and you were being you, which i guess meant taking our problems very seriously and putting all your attention on solving them! GG: and anyway, you and your mom had a much trickier relationship than john and his dad didnt you?
I'm with Jade on this. Presumably, Rose decided that analyzing the game was a more productive use of her time than searching for Mom - a lady who, let's not forget, deliberately abandoned her. Can you really blame her for avoiding the woman?
For a thirteen-year-old, Rose's tactical calls have actually been pretty good. The problem is that Scratch keeps redirecting her plans in directions that benefit him.
GG: now we have all lost guardians GG: dave lost his, and i lost mine in a weird way… uuum even though that was pretty much definitely my fault :\ GG: and even the trolls all lost their monster guardians GG: i think that maybe it is an inevitable part of a game that can be cruel sometimes
I didn’t want this to come to pass, but it always seemed somewhat inevitable.
After all, says Skaia, how are you going to focus on creating a new world, if we don't cut all ties to your old one?
TT: For some reason, despite all the danger, I never thought she was in any trouble. TT: I never believed she would actually die. […] TT: I didn't actually need the ectobiological verification that she was like a mother and a sister at the same time. I always understood that somehow. TT: And I felt she had knowledge and ability beyond what she let on. It was always intimidating, but nonetheless a source of respect which was childishly begrudging on my part.
She worked directly for Skaianet. I'm sure she knew exactly what was coming - and honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if her foresight included her own fate. Prophecy is abundant in this world, and her boss was time-traveling through the session before it even existed.
But... think about this for a second, Rose. If your mother knew everything that awaited you, then it's actually a really good sign that she's been helping you from behind the scenes.
Because if things were truly hopeless, then why was she out there killing monsters for you?
What would be the point, if there was no light at the end of the tunnel?
I'm just saying - that's not the punch of a woman with no hope.
GG: i just hope you arent thinking of doing something rash TT: I already was. TT: I was going to go to sleep, fly to a sun bigger than our universe, drop a bomb in it, and kill myself. […] TT: So if my course of action is to change on account of my mood, it can only become less impetuous, don't you think?
...I’m willing to hear you out.
TT: You never liked my plan very much anyway. […] TT: I made it without a full understanding of the nature of the Scratch. […] TT: Maybe I will go kill Jack myself. TT: Right now.
Oh, man.
Ohhhh, man.
Look. Rose. I'm loving how proactive you're being here, but this plan will kill you instantly - and even if you're dream-revived, you'll die for good when you deliver the Tumor.
Is this what causes the Blackout, then? Is Rose about to power up for this fight, overwhelming the session with eldritch energy?
This fucking guy -_-

everyone wanted part two. So here we go😭😭
---
That night, you slept at the X mansion. Away from yours and logans home, if you could call it that anymore. You still couldn't believe what had happened, and it wasn't a cruel dream or some kind of illusion.
You were sure you'd have preferred to be hallucinating massive demons with guns over whatever nightmare was playing out. But to you, demons were everywhere, because what kind of hell is this where you are lying in bed without your lover?
Without your lover. Lover?
As you lay in bed with tear stained cheeks, you determined three things.
One: You needed to stop crying.
Two: You wish you weren't crying.
And three: you wish you didn't have to cry alone.
Since the start of your relationship, you'd never cried alone. Late nights when you sobbed on the porch, he was always there. And when you wanted milk from the fridge early in the morning, he was there. But this didn't excuse his behaviour or his attitude, or the way he'd defiled your honesty and kindness, and taken advantage of your loyalties.
Logan once asked you, "Do you think we're soulmates in every universe?" And at first I couldn't answer him honestly.
I wanted to answer, kicking and screaming, I wanted to rattle the stars with a scream. It made me think of midnight walks. It made me think of green silk and the flannel he wore. It made me think of bonfires and wood chips and the roast meat he slaved away at the night before we had the fight. It made me remember the farm and the chickens and the cows, it made me think of children and the ones we could have-should have- had.
So to which I answered his question. "Are we even in this one?"
And every night after that, he slept with an open mind.
With Logan, you used to feel loved and comfortable, but now you feel pathetic for trying. Now you feel pathetic for putting in effort when all you were getting was a brick wall.
Pathetic pathetic pathetic
It's all just a bit, isn't it? All of this world? All of the lives we end up living. Whether you're living without someone or crying or trying to find a job. At any point in your life, you become pathetic, not to yourself but to everyone who has never been in your position, you look pathetic. Like a puppet for them to string along.
"You miss him, don't you?" Storm appeared suddenly at your door, making you jump out of your skin.
You frowned and sat up. "I do. But I don't know how to stop it. It's like pain is tearing through me and I can't find where it started"
You held your face in frustration. Storm sat by you on your bed.
"Why do you miss him so much? Typically after being hurt by someone your supposed to hate them" she strifled a laugh.
Hate them? Hate. Hate Hate Hate ha-
You couldn't hate Logan.
You could kick him, and scream at him and forget about him and tell him he was worthless and tell him he was a horrible person and stab him and punch him and strangle him.
But you could never hate him.
"I don't know how to hate him, roro, he means so much to me and that's why this is so painful" tears flooded your eyes again.
"Pain will pass over time. Unfortunately, some of us get the slow side of it, but it's not if you get through it, it's how you get through it"
How were you gonna get through this? That's what you asked yourself. What were you going to do now that you were alone? Is this what you want? Or what you have worked so desperately to not have?
Your whole life, you have worked to get anywhere but here. And now you're exactly where you didnt want to be.
"What do i do without him?"
Cry
Scream
Yell
Fall
Fail
Agony
Pain
Fear
Failure failure failure
"Well..." she trailed off. "I can't answer that for you. Unfortunately, no one really can. It's up to you from this point forward"
The person who would understand you. Is the person who just stormed away from. Why do you do this to yourself?
You let out a loud groan and fell back onto your pillows with a dulled thud.
"There are people here you can talk to, of course, for support. But no one can tell you what to do, and I hate to say it, but for a while, you're a bit on your own. But you know what there's comfort in that too"
Is there? Is this what you were going to be comforted by? Being alone. The tranquil, painful, serene, agonising, loneliness that you distanced yourself from?
"When will I know it's time?" You asked
Ororo stood up from your bed and walked to the door. "When your heart tells you to get up", she smiled softly and left the room.
When my heart tells me to get up?

Iliad? In my She-Ra cartoon? It's more likely than you think
Some of you may know that og Hordak and Prime (from the motu franchise) also have "normal" names. Sooo, you know how long it took my dumb ass to realize that Hec-Tor and Anillis are spelled and pronounced suspiciously similar to Hector and Achilles - u know, the heroes from Homer's Iliad??*
I have no idea if this lil trivia fact is an intentional reference or not or if this specific choice of characters is supposed to mean anything at all. But it means everything to ME
Because why Horde Prime of all people was given the name of a hero?? Why Hordak, his brother, was given the name of his enemy and his victim? And why do these names fit the 2018s versions of these characters so well?
!I'm not an expert in ancient literature or greek mythology/history or anything close so my knowledge and understanding of the Iliad and its characters is literaly on the surface level! I'm only making this post cause looking for parallels is fun c:
Horde Prime as Achilles
The mythological hero, Achilles was often reffered to as the beast, or pure element, force of nature, or even a star. Not a person, not a human being
He was an exceptional fierce hero known for his passion and determination, but also his arrogance and stubborness. Noble yet often selfish and capricious, understanding and caring yet cruel
The one who possesed arcane knowledge about the fate of humanity, and with it - about his own destiny
The one protected by the gods, who was so close to godhood himself, whos body was immortalized in the river Styx
And yet, one small part remained vulnerable, a part of him stayed painfully human. And once it was discovered and aimed at, he was as good as dead
The one who was driven by horrific almost animalistic rage. Rage that came from pain and grief. Rage that came... from love?
Achilles lost someone dear to him and this loss blinded him with desire for revenge, made him chase after the warrior who took his loved one from him. He refused to let go, not even letting go of Hector's corpse
Hordak as Hector
Described as "deserving of love" Hector was a great warrior, deeply devoted and loyal to his home and his cause
A brave unstoppable leader who nonetheless made many mistakes by letting his human emotions and traits make him act unwise, arrogant, reckless and naive
The one who believed in his gods and trusted so many, but in the end was only deceived and lied to. And this lie was the reason why Hector could not escape Achilles' wrath
The cause and the victim of Achilles' rage. His personal enemy, the one who killed his beloved. The one who feared Achilles so much yet in the end stopped running away and faced him in their first and final duel
The one who lost everything. Doomed to die tragically by Achilles' hand. Hector didnt even beg for mercy, only for his body to be treated with respect, but Achilles could not be reasoned with. Instead he dragged his corpse behind his chariot for days on end, not letting him rest. Not letting Hector return home to his family
But wait, who is Patroclus of this story?
Funny how this part of Achilles' story fits Hordak a lot more, since it was him who lost a dear friend and it was him who was consumed with grief and fury. Thus, in a way, Hordak is both Hector and Achilles and Entrapta is his Patroclus. But what's Prime's deal then?
We can always enter fanon territory and headcanon that Prime might have lost someone a long time ago and grief turned him into a monster. Could be a lover, could be a friend or family, could be his old self even. But then what Hordak had to do with it? Why he became the target of his rage?
Perhaps in this version Patroclus isn't even a person. An idea of perfection and control. Hordak's imperfections ruined the image of his ideal world where everything goes his way, ruined his own image, the facade of an all mighty god who could not make a mistake or create something less than perfect. In a sense Hordak's defect and later betryal killed everything Prime was working on and was trying to achieve, everything he believed in
Perhaps Hordak is both Hector and Patroclus. A brother Prime loved so much, but only when he was still a perfect obedient doll with no name. But once Hordak began to change, showing his personhood and becoming harder to control, becoming unrecognizable, HP could not accept it. In his mind Prime lost a brother, and someone who named himself Hordak was his murderer
Again, I have no idea why the hell they chose these names for their aliases. Achilles and Hector were in no way pure or flawless people, but... they were still heroes. Does this say anything about the characters of Horde Prime and Hordak or their dynamic? Especially their motu versions**?? Or was this just a reference for the sake of reference? (oh maybe im only seeing things and its not even a reference??) They could've chosen an iconic pair of tragic brothers instead idk on the surface it'd seem more fitting :/
But i'd rather keep my tinfoil hat on and think that it was all intentional, because I'm LIVING for the implications regarding Prime's humanity .з.
**Motu fans and experts if you're reading this, i'd love to hear your thoughts on this, you have to know more than me!
#spop#horde prime#hordak#shera#spop meta#the galactic horde#spacebats#ramblings#*just wanna clarify that the realization only hit me like a month or two ago#so all the possible parallels between them and Anillis and Hec-Tor from my Kur twins au are purely accidental lol#and no my boys dont become enemies!

The narrative is losing cohesion. At this point, Epic should be called very loosely inspired by Odyssey and we should ignore all reference to the greek myths altogether.
And for people arguing that it's not weird that a mere mortal defeated a god... gods, specifically Olympians always win in the end. Non-Olympian gods like Scamander or Thanatos may lose temporarily but what happened to the winners? Achilles dies (although his death is complicated and not really about Scamander and he was a particularly divine demigod). Sisyphus is condemned to an eternal torture. Diomedes wounds Ares and Aphrodite but with the backing of Athena. Neither were "defeated" and since they were technically not allowed to interfere in the war he got off lightly but that's an exception. Certainly no one escaped divine retribution from their attempts to one-up and humiliate the (Olympian) gods. So many Greek myths warn people from that hubris. No one just suddenly, with no divine help, gets powerful enough to completely defeat, humiliate, and torture an Olympian god and actually get away with it. Even if they did at the moment, the gods WILL take their revenge. Just like Poseidon claims, what's to stop him from creating a tsunami to drown Ithaca after that defeat? He can even do it far away from Ithaca. What's to stop other gods from taking umbrage to Odysseus' actions? And how will Odysseus stop them? This "power-up" certainly cant make him stop a literal tsunami or concentrated thunder or any myriad of ways gods can fuck up mortals. If he could, well then, why did we bother so much about the power of the gods in the previous sagas? Why did Odysseus and his crew suffer what felt like inescapable pain? Why did Astyanax have to die?
Because why now? If Odysseus can suddenly become powerful through powers of anger, madness, love, friendship(?) or whatever why not before? Why not when his crew died to the Cyclops, when first attacked by Poseidon, when faced with Zeus? Why does Odysseus gets to suddenly break the rules? If there are reasons to it, it's not told in the songs. The logic of the world suddenly collapses.
And dont even talk about that ridiculous power-up. I dont care if it's animation and game influenced. The title says "the musical". It's published first and foremost as songs, advertised as a musical. If people are confused about the sudden turn of events after listening to the songs, the story is not properly explaining itself.
The narrative simply does not match the genre nor respect its original sources. I felt it concerning that Athena's character seemingly collapsed in the Wisdom saga. She was a cool, calculating and exacting strategist in the earlier sagas, Odysseus and she parted on explicitly bad terms and then in the Wisdom Saga she suddenly turns into this worried, friendship-cherishing quasi family friend who stakes her life trying to rescue her "friend". Some crucial character development is missing from the end of the Cyclops saga and the Wisdom saga. Yes, she turns back time to see what Odysseus suffered. But again, why his suffering post-My Goodbye softens Athena when his previous hardships didnt move her?
Zeus too becomes a caricature of himself. In his previous appearances, he was a self-assured judge of both men and gods and he delivers fate and divine judgements to Odysseus (though he does comes off as cruel). Yet in the God Games, he is like an angry toddler, mad that his daughter dare win the game he proposed. He promised to grant her wish if she win his game but then he gets so mad?? I'm not saying that Zeus can't be both majestic and petty but the jump from one character to another with no explanation is jarring.
The songs still sound great, the singers did a super job and Act 1 raised some genuinely deep questions about the nature of humanity, monsters, and fate. But the recent sagas are quickly losing that strongly compelling narrative that I believe was the backbone of this musical.

to let a good deed go unpunished
NOTE: for the anime-only's, there may be a few spoilers about tecchou below, so please keep that in mind. i and Hopefully this isn't too ooc lol :< still waiting for more tecchou content ^^ i'm spelling his name as tecchou here, instead of tetchō :>
REQUEST: general y! tecchou headcanons from @shumidehiro
CW: yandere character, manipulation, unhealthy relationships, obsession, jealousy, stalking
- an encounter with tecchou is an opportunity that is hard to come by outside of his work, since he's more devoted to his duty of upholding justice more than anything
- that's not to say it's impossible. besides, as long as he recognizes you share the same values as him, you'd easily make an impression on him, even if you didn't plan to do so
- due to tecchou's nature, he easily focuses on things that pique his curiosity or admiration. he can spend hours watching you display your sense of justice or leadership (much like the ants he watched without moving)
- while tecchou can be either a platonic or romantic yandere, his overall intentions are the same. he wants to protect you from the cruel, imbalanced world he's used to. he knows your beliefs can change in a moment once you realize the true nature of people, and doesn't want that to happen
- tecchou doesn't like lying to you or deceiving you. he's an honest person by nature and hates using force or mind games to get you to do something. since he believes sincere discussion is the best way to ease tensions, arguments with tecchou never get out of hand - most of the time he's not able to pick up on what you're feeling, nor does he stop to consider how you're affected as a consequence of his actions. in fact, he's surprised to know that you actually feel more paranoid than safe because of his constant surveillance - because unfortunately, as you'll quickly realize, tecchou genuinely believes his actions are helping you. you may be upset at his rigid rules but he only wants to protect you - he thinks you don't understand that his actions come from a place of good intentions, so while he's ready to hear out your concerns, it's impossible to get him to change his ways when they're so rooted in his personal values, and so he'll keep justifying his own actions to you. - tecchou feels responsible for protecting you from the evil intent of anyone else. due to this, he indirectly restricts your social circle so that all your friends are all either in the hunting dogs or involved with them in some way
- tecchou doesn't ever toy with you or harm you. however, that's not to say he won't hurt others...
- he revels in his ability to make any potential target tremble in fear from just his glare. and even if they don't back down from that, he has an array of methods to silence anyone who dares come in his way
- while tecchou doesn't consider himself violent, he's willing to dirty his hands to protect you. but at first, he doesn't actually consider hiding it from you
- it's likely a hunting dog member (jouno) would be the one to advise him about keeping it a secret. jouno's the one who explains to him that even if he was protecting you from who he deemed as 'evildoers', you'd probably not appreciate the sentiment
- in fact, you'd likely be horrified at the thought that tecchou would be so cruel as to harm someone who only wanted to talk to you. you could only justify tecchou's actions if you believed he was only truly apprehending criminals, which is ultimately why he makes sure you never catch him hurting someone else
- he doesn't want you to lose your trust in him, which is why kidnapping and imprisonment are also not in tecchou's plans; not unless he absolutely has no other choice. he fights off the evil from your shadow, and ensures that you are none the wiser
(softer hcs below that i felt didnt match with the rest)
- tecchou's not used to physical affection, but will quickly adapt to your preference. since he's physically a lot stronger than a regular person due to his modifications, it'll take him a while to figure out if he's holding you too tight or if he's hurting you
- he'll be happy if you want to join him while he's working out. whether you want to help out, watch or try working out alongside him, he'll appreciate the company

elden ring dlc spoiler talk
i really want to believe marika tricked midra into accepting the frenzied flame when he didnt know what it even was, and once he had flame in him, slept with him and had melina and messmer (both who are cursed with different kinds of flame). you could argue she used her charm ability and the mimics veil to look like nanaya or something
but it makes too much sense that nanaya is like hyetta. we dont know if hyetta is a vessel from the frenzied flame pretending to act innocent and caring, manipulating you into becoming the lord of frenzy. she could easily be some level of a manipulator
she could also be completely unaware of her origins, and is doing what feels natural for her, with her AND you being manipulated by the frenzy flame. she really does seem to be unaware that shes inhabited irinas dead body (what about shabriri though?)
either way tho, hyetta is being used by the frenzy flame to make a lord. whether shes in on it or not. and i think it just makes too much sense that nanaya is in the same position. she could be more Aware like shabriri seems to be.
also look at her portrait from someone who datamined the texture
seems normal but if you look close at her eyes shes fucking staring right at you
anyways if i HAVE to scrap marika plot, i think the next best theory is that nanaya was trying to make a lord of frenzied flame, and tricked midra into accepting it, she ratted him out knowing he would be persecuted to the highest degree. played the innocent fool and told him to endure (because she is there for him and Really Cares about him 🙂)
the frenzied flame specifically seeks out those who are suffering, without hope, oppressed, treated unfairly and with cruelty, and it offers them A Way Out, and revenge. this world is unjust and cruel so just get rid of it all. and i think in a backwards way, nanaya was telling midra to endure because the longer he endured, the more he ripened to be the next lord of the frenzied flame.
it may seem counterintuitive and seem better to say "nanaya had experience with how destructive the frenzied flame was (nanayas torch) and was just trying to stop it from happening again" but idk, i think the frenzied flame works in weird, backwards ways. its sneaky, manipulative, incredibly patient. i think nanayas actions are completely in line with how it operates and uses people
#i rllyyyyyyy need quelaag and others to give insight im dying here#i need to know moreeeeeee#i need to know if certain characters were more involved with midra cuz i rlly want it to be validateddddddddddddd#lord of the frenzied flame#flame of frenzy#elden ring#elden ring spoilers#shadow of the erdtree#shadow of the erdtree spoilers#sote spoilers

i am so curious about your pucci thoughts...
I AM SO FUCKING SORRY IT TOOK SO LONG TO GET TO THIS ASK OH MY FUCKING GOD my life has been crazy lately but still i am So Sorry
okay so basically i love pucci we have to kill him. here is a list of my thoughts in no particular order
he makes me so ill like genuinely he is one of the most well written jojo characters ever and DEFINITELY the most well written villain. like holy shit. i think a lot about how weather said the evilest of people are those who think they are good and how that relates to pucci oh my GOD it makes me sick. pucci like many villains are a "ends justify the means" kinda guy like while he was cruel at many points i truly think he was jsut like, yes this is a moment of weakness but it wont matter because im going to fix it. i think aobut how he really thought he was going to save everyone. he was going to save perla. he was going to save dio. he was going to save himself. and thinking baout things from his side, like, oh my god. dio was his only friend. we the audience know that dio groomed him (not necessarily sexually but still grooming) and even though dio did seem to grow to truly care for pucci, he didnt care enough to not use him for his plan to restart the world -- but PUCCI didnt know that. im sure he had inklings and feelings like he's not NAIVE, im sure he KNEW dio was using him at SOME point, but it wouldnt change the fact dio still eventually saw him and was his friend either way. it wouldnt change the fact that he would do this one thing for his only friend, even if his only friend BECAME his friend in the first place just to make him fulfill this task. god dio and pucci's relationship is so insane i hate hate hate that people boil it down to just shipping LIKE THERE WAS RESENTMENT THERE WAS ANGER THERE WAS SO MUCH LOVE AND HALF OF IT WAS LOVE FOR WHAT THE OTHER COULD DO FOR HIM INSTEAD OF JUST HIM HIMSELF . LIKE FUCK'S SAKE im sick of ppl putting a romantic spin on everything and YES this is half me being aromatnic but also COME ON. and that's not even getting into the fact dio and pucci's relationship is supposed to parallel jolyne and jotaro's/jolyne and jonathan's. but anyway
god he loved his sister so much man it makes me sick he jsut wanted her safe man. after everything....i choose to believe his final thoughts were of perla. it's why he was begging for everything he did to have meant SOMETHING -- please let if have meant perla got a good life in whatever universe the world will end up in. i like to believe she did. he won't be there to see it. oh god he wont be there ot see it. fuck. maybe that was for the best in his mind anyway
his drama and tragedy aside he's also the funniest guy in the entire world. why the hell is a catholic priest wearing gucci. well i guess that answers the question but still. he is so fucking funny he is not even subtle about it he is LITERALLY like EOUGH DONT TOUCH MY EXPENSIVE DESIGNER PANTS and then he kicks a cop to his death for it. he's so fucking funny i love him so much. i love that whitesnake is independent enough to have its own personality and he and pucci get into spats sometimes OS FUCKING FUNNY. MFW I ARGUE WITH MY OWN SOUL.
also my disdain for shipping culture aside i cannot deny that pucci is a homophobic homosexual. he and jotaro totally banged a couple times and awkwardly called it off when pucci first sees jotaro's birthmark and he's like oh no. SO FUCKING FUNNY
ugh sorry i jsut want to go back to this point he's so smart he's so Aware of how people work and connect he's always had a fine sense for it (do you believe in gravity...) OUGH like there's no WAY HE DIDN'T KNOW DIO WAS USING HIM BUT HE STILL LOVED DIO AND I THINK BEYOND THAT. I THINK HE TRUY BELIEVED WHAT DIO WAS SAYING. I THINK HE TRULY BELIEVED OKAY EVEN IF DIO HAS HIS OWN MOTIVES HERE, THIS END IS JSUT. SO I WILL KEEP FOLLWOING ALONG. LIKE. I. i truly think he thought this would save everyone, especially perla. ohuogh my god PUCCIIIIIIIIIIIII
in short, he makes me sick we have to kill him. i like him a lot

Official Miu Iruma Post
[contains debate about the 4th case & trial of v3, post-game irouma, a dating show au with saiouma & kiiruma, talk about her abandonment issues, parental HCs and toxic yuri, just the normal way conversations in the Pit go, I simply cut out some of the screaming, distractions and put displaced replies closer to what they're replying to]
Hina: Kokichi’s Chapter 4 plan right It’s to do two things: Save him from Miu Make himself the villain Right Cause if that’s the plan WHY PUSH MIUS BODY OFF THE ROOF Clown: That was gontas idea!! Hina: No I’m blaming Kokichi for this fuck you Ves: i think he actually meant to kill everyone but that's an unpopular opinion sndhsgfgfh Hina: THEN HE SHOULDVE LET MIU KILL HIM IM SORRY MIU HAD THE BEST MURDER PLOT IN V3 AND SHE DIDNT EVEN GET TO USE IT BECAUSE KOKICHIS A FUCKING MINDREADER Apollo: LIKE HOW DID HE KNOW? WHAT. SHE WAS ACTING WEIRD SO HE CHECKED THE COMPUTER CODE? [yes. I assumed that this was just. canon] Sini: HE COULDN’T LET MIU KILL HIM Ves: NO?????????? THAT WOULD BE FUCKIGN STUPID???????????????????? Hina: No but if his plan was to kill everyone, Miu probably could’ve gotten everyone killed Ves: "i COULD convince the strong one and the detective to help me and carefully manipulate the trial til the end, but why don't i just throw it all to the wind instead-" miu was VERY OBVIOUSLY gonna kill someone dude Clown: MIUS SO BAD AT HIDING HER INTENTIONS BUT ITS OKAY I LOVE HER
Hina: Okay no I’ll give him that But Kokichi makes a lot of assumptions Like the “He’d be frozen in a touch” thing That’s a big assumption to make Ves: NO IT IS NOT THAT IS JUST ASSUMING MIU ISN'T COMICALLY STUPID IF SHE DIDN'T THINK OF THAT SHE WOULDN'T DESERVE TO BE CALLED A GENIUS if miu has control over the virtual world, then of course she'd add some way to stop him from resisting. that's an educated guess Clown: He didn't think he was going to be frozen but I think he assumes Miu was smart enough to make a fail safe!! She needed to do something to make him killable. I don't think he knew what it was but he knew she did something! Especially since she's openly telling everyone that she took away all dangerous objects and diminished their strength?? What are you scheming queen?? Apollo: I get he's smart but can he even read code because I doubt it was just written 'freezes when Miu touches' [with what monokubs pulled up for them. it was kind of written like that] Hina: No code is usually written very fucking simple Me: It wasn't an assumption? He knew. Because he looked into what she was doing.
Apollo: I still think he should have just 'decided to piss her off' and not show up to the meeting on the rooftop. Either that or he acts real sus so someone follows him up and sees her about to murder him Clown: I think he did act kinda suspicious! Like actively making a show of needing someone to watch him or clearly getting pulled off to the side so Miu could talk to him. Chee: He was being more sus than usual and that made V3 think “someone needs to watch him” Idk why they sent Gonta over when its Kokichi actually Clown: I like to think he gave her a chance to back out. If Miu had seen him act this way and still proceed with her plan. Well that that was that. Again. Probably not what they were intending BUT LET ME BELIEVE THEY WERE FRIENDS AT ONE POINT SOBS Chee: DUDE NO I ALSO LOVE THINKING THEYRE FRIENDS THEY FUCKING WORKED TOGETHER FOR FUCKS SAKE Tehyre friends to me fuck whatever canon goes against that!! Ves: she picks him because he's one of the only people who would conceivably go to a secluded place with her and that Hurts me Me: With his views on killers he most likely thought that Miu will go for a kill no matter what and will do something else if she's not forcefully stopped. Plus, he was pissed off first, she betrayed him and he was especially cruel when talking about her after that, some elements of the plan were going out of the way to say "fuck you" to Miu (and using that to draw more suspicion to himself, but that was not necessary to do that), I think he wanted Gonta to be the winner, as somebody who stayed on his team, making it his victory, but then Gonta wasn't following the plan, meaning that he must have betrayed him too, and then Kokichi lost it
Sini: OOOOH! You mean the interpretation of him killing everyone… Let’s be real, if that’s the case, then yeah, he was dumb. Cause even with what Ves said, HE STILL FUCKED UP! FUCK REVERSE PSYCHOLOG! WHY TF WOULD YOU OPEN YOUR MOUTH SM YOU DUMB BITCH!? YOU’RE GIVING OUT MORE EVIDENCE He was so dumb for it, idc. Bro, stfu….Saying Gonta is the culprit!? WHY!?!? SHUT UUUPPPP I get the logic but fuck man! It’s so risky and stupid! Why would you do that!? Ves: OH I DON'T THINK THAT WAS PART OF THE ORIGINAL PLAN CAN YOU IMAGINE LMAO that's BEYOND "risky and stupid" sini did you think i thought this the whole time HE'S BETRAYING GONTA AT THAT POINT I- Chee: YEAH I THINK THAT WAS NOT PART OF THE PLAN Me: It definitely wasn't part of the original plan, that was the moment he snapped Sini: Oh. I knew that too but I forgot how you interpreted it. But he does similar shit even in the beginning of the trial. I just….I think it’s dumb. This is part of why I don’t think he planned to kill everyone Oh yeah, I know that. I just wasn’t sure what they meant, there are many ways you can interpret this theory. But yeah, I agree that he thought there would be no reasoning with her and she would kill him regardless. While he could’ve let Miu kill him, keeping Miu alive is good in case the plan were to ever fail. Her plan was really good, even Shuichi noted that without finding out about the secret of the virtual world that they would’ve been fucked. She could’ve very well won had he just let her kill him, but still, it’s better he have control over the situation than potentially die for no reason while the game continues. I get that. But like….What did Gonta do to not follow with the plan? From what I remember, by the time Kokichi outed Gonta….He didn’t do anything?? No one suspected him until he brought it up. Gonta became suspect because of him. Why would he do that? Are you saying he got so pissed that Gonta was good at not being sus that he changed his mind? Cause I honestly find that ridiculous. It is literally essential that Gonta not be suspicious so that they win…. Was it a method to make Gonta not suspicious by making him suspicious? But again, why? No one was ever suspecting him and he should know that most of everyone would never suspect him as the culprit at that point because it’s Gonta. Yes, they’ve suspected Gonta plenty times before and you could say they only reacted that way cause Kokichi was the one saying it, but…I feel at that point everyone grew closer to Gonta and would have that genuine bias. Kokichi outing Gonta just led to him spewing more evidence that got them fucked even before he snapped at him. He was basically giving hints since the beginning of the trial. I always read it like he was doing what he usually did until Shuichi and the others pissed him off. Then Gonta pissed him off by denying everything and everyone believing him despite the evidence. Ves: it's not that gonta didn't follow the plan, it's that he followed it too well. you have to remember that kokichi had no way of knowing about the cord mixup; from his perspective, gonta was just lying his ass off. and he was lying so well kokichi wouldn't've been able to tell if he hadn't seen him kill her. even in an interpretation where he planned to betray gonta from the beginning, i think that would've freaked him the hell out
Sini: But he wasn’t really lying before…. He wasn’t doing anything. He was barely present in the trial until that point. Ig that’s a form of lying, maybe Kokichi expected him to be all nervous and shit?? But….Is that good enough reason to out him and abandon your plan??? I see some people say how he could’ve suspected Gonta as the mastermind, but I can only see him suspecting that after he outed him. And even then…If he was the mastermind…Why would he follow his plan in the virtual world in the first place? Surely Kokichi must’ve thought of that. To think he’s the mastermind based off of good lying alone, while understandable, is also a bit of a stretch. Kokichi knows there is more to Gonta than what people see, he’s seen him lie before. It’s just at that moment where it’s taken to a whole other level that even rivals his own (at least that’s what he thinks). But still…I just….He said that unprompted and I can’t think of a good reason as to why he’d do that after planning all this out There is Gonta debating Shuichi before I think but that’s still not enough to do something like call him the culprit I feel…. I just don’t understand it. Maybe I’m giving Kokichi too much credit, but it’s weird. Ves: gonta has repeated that he doesn't understand over and over in a very convincing (because it's true) way by that point tho idk ch4 doesn't make a lot of sense to me without the idea that kokichi was originally planning to follow through TBF though it's the clearest example of kokichi being a microcosm of v3; it's meant to be up to the player to decide what they believe, and that means there's evidence both ways. it's definitely a weird way to write a character Sini: But again, Kokichi knows he isn’t stupid. He must know he can probably pull off just saying “I don’t understand”. Not to mention, I don’t think he’d do something like this at all. Chapter 1 he acknowledges how if they die, they can just bring in new people and the games will continue. While everyone dying is a unsatisfying ending, it’s not enough to end the game. It has enough entertainment value and not enough scandal where it could do that much damage. Kokichi must still think this is all a show even if at that moment where he believed what he saw in the vault was real. Is it really winning the game and bringing justice to those who died if he follows the rules practically to a T and kills everyone? It’s not that much of a satisfying ending for him either. Ig he could’ve not known what else to do and was overwhelmed with despair, but I personally don’t think he’d want things to go that way. But that’s just me. I agree that it’s written in a way where you don’t really know what’s the truth. I understand the theory and I think the idea is cool, with enough evidence to support it. To me though, it just doesn’t jive
[I just got hit in the face with a crack theory: What if he made it so it looks like he gave in to the motive and wants to kill everyone so the mastermind doesn't intervene before he gets to flip the switch on them?] Ves: that's a totally fair interpretation!! i haven't asked - do you think he believed what he saw at the end of the tunnel :o? oh and also. i think believing what he saw would undo his ch1 belief about them just bringing more people in..? where would they get them from Clown: I guess that's assuming he'd believe the world really did end. But thats vauge too, how much did he believe it? How long? Did he even believe it in the first place? WHO KNOWS Ves: i think he did believe it. i mean, he was THERE. he saw the broken world stretch out to the horizon, he felt the air leave his lungs that's very different than a flashback light Sini: Well, that’s the thing. I feel like he believed what he saw but soon afterward started to doubt it given everything else he witnessed. Why things are the way they are…It only makes sense if it’s a show. Kokichi himself acknowledges that in Chapter 5. The flashback lights….There’s so many things to not be trusted here. If they can pull off crazy rooms, executions, and robots, could they fabricate what he saw and experienced? Maybe it is real but there are survivors out there. I think Kokichi was in constant conflict about it Ves: it could be a show for just one person. i think that'd haunt him and yeah i agree about him being in constant conflict Clown: I do think he believed it for a good while!! It's hard not to. It probably effected him more than he realized. But at the same time the world around his is changing in completely unnatural ways, he acknowledges that it feels as though they're following a script sometimes. So that gave him room for doubts. But he couldn't really be sure Kodaka was a coward for not giving us a bonus unlockable scene where ouma sees the world end, BY HIMSELF, ALL ALONE, and just implodes in on himself for a little while I wanna see how he reacted!!! I wanna see why he even managed to get up again!! Ves: MAYBE I'M ALSO A COWARD JESUS Sini: I’m fine with not getting anything. The whole point is that he’s a mysterious character. The way we see him is supposed to be somewhat similar to how Shuichi sees him, constantly questioning wtf he is up to and how he feels But that would be cool tho Clown: I can agree with that! I do love that there's so much room to theorize about him This is entirely self indulgent askshjdh WHERES THE POV SWITCH KODAKA?? WHERE?? Sini:Yeah, same. I indulgently want a Kokichi Ouma novel but writing wise that’s a shitty idea Clown: Yeahhh, unless their willing to break away from the embodiment of a lie thing, at least a little, than i wouldn't have high hopes Or they could evilify him more thats also something that could happen
Hina: Me writing a whole Kokichi Miu fight scene be like Chee: no dude I actually enjoy that BC THERES NO WAY AFTER ALL THAT HAPPENED IN GAME THEY WOULDNT FIGHT Im just still praying theyll be friends after the fighting or something [sob emoji]
[conversation went into detail about how fucked up Kokichi novel could turn out to be if we got it (and so it's best it doesn't happen)] Clown: Miu and kokichi get an explosive divorce Ves: okay no i want this actually that sounds HILARIOUS Sini: That already happened in V3 tho Me: they are SO divorcecore <3 /pos Ves: they are the OPPOSITE of the "i don't argue with beautiful women, my wife hits me with a hammer and i walk it off" tweet Me: and I love that for them! frenemies irouma is nice, but they could take that to a higher level Ves: IT IS romantic iruma is just so inherently hilarious that "higher level" is divorce court Sini: “My wife tried to hit me with a hammer, that bitch got strangled” Clown: It's like the ending of one of those shows where they try and pair everyone off into couples but they explode as a result Maybe literally Miu puts a bomb in oumas cereal Sini: It’s their love language, dw Clown: They only got married because the people of their affections also got hit with the straight people ray and they're mourning together/hj Shuichi should marry maki to make it worse Ves: they're all cheating on each other Worst Suburb Of All Time Me: this gave me a VIOLENT flashback to that one hamilton songfic (Say No To This? I think) where Miu wrote Saihara a threathening letter bc Ouma was her husband and saiou was having an affair
Sini: Salmon Mode: Love is Blind edition Ves: hold on i've got a better one the ultimatum …actually hold on maybe i'm NOT joking an ultimatum au would kinda slap… are saiou in preexisting relationships or did they come together shuuichi issuing the ultimatum to kokichi would be TASTY but so would them falling in love and leaving their unhappy relationships for each other,,,, one person in a couple wants to get married, the other isn't so sure. they go on the show where they pick another person to be in a 'trial marriage' for a couple weeks, then go back to their original partners, then decide 'the ultimatum' is 'marry or our relationship is over' Clown: Oohh man I dunno. Them as a preexisting couple is ANGST AND PAIN and ✨️ drama ✨️ But them coming together is [teary eyed cat emoji] Hina: Okay but that's so good if they're preexisting in a relationship Me: the "getting back together" energy (despite there being no break-up and only a threat of it) is definitely up your alley and it could be neat, but them getting paired up for a few weeks fake relationship that's not intended to last should be injected in my bloodstream immediately or I'll die Ves: they're meant not to last, to be a test before they go back to their Real partners, but they find themselves happier than they ever were AUUUUUGH Hina: If we're being realistic though wouldn't Kokichi bail the moment Shuichi offers an ultimatum like that? Ves: IF WE'RE BEING REALISTIC NEITHER OF THEM WOULD GO ON REALITY TV IN THE FIRST PLACE THIS EXISTS SO I CAN HAVE FUNNY SAIOUMA COUCH ASIDES AND ENDGAME SMOOCHES Clown: Can't remove brain from shuichi giving the ultimatum because ouma is a flighty nerd- NEED THERE TO BE A SWEET SCENE WHERE GONTA AND KOKICHI BOND BECAUSE OF THEIR SIMILAR CIRCUMSTANCES BUT ON OPPOSITE ENDS. Gontas straightforward point of view seems illogical, it doesnt even take into account how much could go wrong, but its suprisingly comforting. Maybe ouma shouldn't focus on the fail safes… AND HE GAINS PLUS 1 BUDDY OLE PAL [I skipped a big part of the conversation suggesting other couples, but one of them was Gonta and Kirumi] Ves: gonta and kokichi come out Best Friends he's the best man at the saiou wedding unsure if kokichi gets this privilege also because. kirumi. but STILL Clown: She doesn't want his greasy face in the wedding party thats understandable If you wanna add some ✨️ drama ✨️ maybe shuichi is just a tad jealous over seeing ouma so genuinely connect with someone. After such a short time too?? Shuichi goes "this is fine" as if he isn't iron gripping the table Ves: he thinks kokichi's left him for bigger tits greener pastures meanwhile gonta is patting his back while he wails drunkenly about shuuichi inevitably leaving him he's NOT jealous he is a responsible partner he does not feel Bad Emotions he does NOT- he's not coping and seething that gonta is better at protecting kokichi from spiders
Ves: who is shuuichi's partner. rantarou is Not Allowed it hurts my brain Hina: Wow smh Miu/j Ves: he'd never pick her but GOD it'd be funny Clown: MAYBE KIIBO, FOR THE EXTRA LACK OF BRAIN CELLS Did Miu drag kiibo there?? Ves: love hotel abandonment issues flashbacks Clown: She would vent this in a completely public scandalous way I love that for her Miu iruma the walking disaster beloved Ves: why doesn't kiibo want to get married? is it just bc miu's being Like That about it or does he have his own issues Hina: What if their relationship is still fairly new Like less than a year Clown: "We aren't financially stable and the average expectancy of dating years before marriage is 4-6 years, we haven't yet to agree upon how many kids we would have because 8 is illogical. I think we should wai-" and Miu is throwing a tantrum Ves: i don't think i've ever seen kiiruma as anything but a fluffy side ship this is spinning in my brain oughhh miu iruma you are the worst gf of all time i love you messy bitch she's gonna key his car they are neurodiverging in opposite directions kiibo's autistic robot ass is planning things out according to nothing but logic meanwhile miu is traumatized and brain damaged and putting beans in all his shoes he doesn't Get why she's so sensitive about this he's said he's not going to leave her, and he's never proved himself a liar, so why doesn't she believe him??? actually on that topic. why do u guys think miu is Like That?? she apparently has very severe abandonment issues but they're brought up ONCE and NEVER EXPLAINED it bothers me i need to fill that gap with hc
Sini: Miu [handshake emoji] Kokichi Crippling trust/abandonment issues. Your love? They do not see Ves: and that's why they make such inch resting friends :) Sini: I hc her mother left her and her dad. Perhaps she also had a childhood friend who abandoned her since in the Love Hotel she sees you as one Ves: i'm inclined to say someone (a parent?) just BOOKED it while she was in the coma Clown: Oohhh!!! Similar hc!!! I also think she was raised by a single dad. Mom was too focused on her career Ves: i gave her a single mom LMAO does she just radiate Divorced Kid Energy??? Sini: SHE DOES HONESTLY What if they left after her coma? I can imagine it going like that…. Ves: i mean her personality was probably different by then maybe they just…didn't like her anymore…… Clown: Ahsgshwhs, I just think part of her sense of humor comes from the fact that her father was like…one of those drunk uncles who gives you shittiest dating advice and has been divorced 3 times and is not at all a bad person but has clearly made far too many mistakes. And he's her MAIN caretaker. And so he talked to her more like a friend than a daughter and so she really was craving some sort of bond she considered unbreakable, someone to take care of her. AND WHATS THAT?? ON TV?? YOUR ROMANTIC ENDEAVOR WOULD DIE FOR YOU?? YES PLEASE??? Ves: SHE JUST WANTS SOMEONE TO OPEN THE FUCKING DOOR FOR HER, IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK Sini: Men these days, smh Hina: Easy, don't date men Ves: WOMEN WILL NOT FIX HER ISSUES HINA Clown: WOMEN COULD MAKE HER WORSE, TOXIC DOOMED YURI WHEN Ves: her and ouma, if you're not a COWARD Sini: Toxic doomed yuri fem!Kokichi/Miu. 100k words- Me: where [and I still don't see a fucking link] Hina: Ever female Kokichi I've seen scares me So yes I am a coward Me: multigendered Kokichi then, it can still be yuri and that's my preferred hc anyway Ves: kokichi's already a girl to ME. multigender queen Hina: I mean Big boobs Heterosexual Female Kokichi Sini: The big boobs are a red flag Me: I can excuse heterosexuality, but I draw the line at Kokichi with boobs /ref Sini: YOU EXCUSE HETEROSEXUALITY!?

Can I ask something from Code Geass? What do you think are Lelouch and Suzaku’s greatest personality strengths and weaknesses? Why? What do you love about their dynamic? Sorry if you've answered these questions before.....
i haven't actually! thank you so much for sending this. thoughts in the read more below!
the thing abt suzaku and lelouch that really called to me was that they are two sides of the same coin. theyre both altruistic to a fault (different but the same), they love far too deeply (not talking abt this in a ship way either. both lelouch and suzaku do things out of love for others that is...questionable at best), they don't really understand the situation as a whole, and they don't really face major consequences to the end. lelouch is cruel, selfish, manipulative. suzaku is uncritical, righteously full of self loathing, half-hearted. theyre both major fucking hypocrites. they hate each other for the same reason they work so well together. (they love each other for those same reasons, too.) they're kind and optimistic to a fault. they're children playing war.
easily my favorite scene in all of code geass is one of the final scenes during the damocles battle, when the core argument between what lelouch stood for and what suzaku stood for is contended between the entire cast of characters, jumping from statement to statement, viewpoint from viewpoint. not only do suzaku and lelouch have their own quips but the other characters are what really make it for me because those are all people who are just as alive and have just as many feelings as they do--but at the end of the day none of that matters to them, such symbolized by the finale and zero requiem. their world was always so small, suzaku, lelouch, and nunnally. the final punishment was to destroy that in such a way that it could never be restored, that nothing could ever be the same. it's a much crueler punishment for suzaku, but i think lelouch knows suzaku well enough to know that suzaku would not be able to truly live (if you can even call it that, haha) without being molded into being something he is not (he was regarded as a knight and hero when all he saw himself as was a murdered.) but in the same breath, lelouch knowing that, accepting that part of suzaku, it being his final parting gift, his form of an eternity together... its powerful!
its kind of funny because code geass has its moments where the writing is so very much Not Good but then it also has these amazingly complex interwoven moments sprinkled in. personally, i actually grew up always asking myself whether its better to change the system without any casualty whatsoever vs dismantling it no matter the price, so i see myself in the both of them, though i agree with lelouch far more. truthfully, i didnt even like suzaku until after he detonates the fleija in r2 and he tells schneizel that as long as he makes him knight of one, he will slay the emperor. it took him a while, but he finally showed his own truth, understanding his fate as a weapon above all else.
its an anime with characters that are more complex than they look, parallels that run deeper than i believe many give credit for (dont get me started on shirley), and the truth of war, though maybe a bit sanitized. that being said, code geass would be Nothing without suzaku and lelouch at its helm, the true driving forces of the narrative and even the world of code geass itself.
those two are truly one of a kind.
#answered#code geass#suzalulu#i hope this answered ur ask! i feel like i kinda went off topic but it is what it is. playing the hand i was dealt#just like lelouch and suzaku do

s7 ep17(the born-again identity)
i want to see cas and crowley. i miss them. did bobby refuse to go? and now he is going with winchesters everywhere and helping them? because that notebook cannot have fallen by itself. It hurts me that Cas was the one who did this to Sam. Sam has been through a lot. I hope he can get over this soon. cas!!! i wanna cry(well im crying little bit). cas is back? he is emanuel, what? he is cas. meg?! sam is still helping people. i love him. cas is back. he saved sam:) but now he is left behind, with meg! i hope dean knows where meg is and she wont do anything bad for winchesters and cas.

s7 ep20(the girl with the dungeons and dragons tattoo)
i know new characters will come to spn and i am so excited to meet them. i saw them on the internet and i cant wait to see their relationship with the boys. and Charlie is one of them. and i am happy she came. i like her. bobby will do something bad isnt he? she is a nerd:) . well, is Charlie coming back?

my monthly alien stage rewatch findings. or rambles. Yeah rambles. i didnt say anything about Black Sorrow or Cure because those are like the most analyzed videos of all time and im tired Sigh
My Clematis: It still amazes me how much of an effect this one still has on me after all the time that has passed and after all the things that have happened in Alien Stage by now. It truly represents every single thing that makes Alien Stage such a special story. I think watching it again after all that went on in the story just elevates it so much more. This time around what did it for me was the monologue because you can easily apply it to every other character in this and it just Fits so well. Because truly what else do these children have aside from one another? Who else are they supposed to believe in? Where else are they supposed to find a God that can keep them moving forward in a world as cruel as this? All of them have someone, the nature of their admiration and the way they express it varies so much between all of them, but it still follows the same principle after all. The whole mv just put it in such a beautiful way it honestly holds up as its own story but knowing there was way more to these two girls and this whole world makes it so much better. I love yuri
ALIEN STAGE: UUugggGGahsgagahHahwnajwjdj Sorry. Okay. This is like the actual real trailer for this thang and its also so perfect. It foreshadows everyone's role surprisingly well. I think the fact Sua is the one singing also makes it better somehow because it just makes sense. She's the one that indirectly triggered a lot of what happens in Alien Stage in the first place she's the most important for our protagonist she's related with the rest of the cast in many different ways and to this day we still know next to nothing about her and yet she's the one singing the song that can be considered a true introduction to this whole world and that's Fascinating to me. I just feel nostalgic about this one also even if it really hasn't been that long since it was released. General banger and also it looks pretty as hell it makes me ill. Waugh
Unknown (Till the end...): OKAY I REALIZED THIS WAS PROBABLY THE ONE WHERE MY OPINIONS WOULD CHANGE THE MOST i have recently taken quite a liking to thinking about Till since a Twitter thread changed my whole perception about him and Oh Boy Did It All Change. It kind of really fucks me up. Till's relationship with Mizi i mean. It's stated he's one of the most brilliant in Anakt Garden. Not only is he skilled at both singing and playing an instrument he's also a pretty damn good composer. It's really something when you realize Mizi was the one who gave him both the determination and the inspiration to achieve all of this. The song he performed was the fastest selling album and he made it to Top 2 despite the fact the aliens are just not fond of him at all to put lightly. And he only achieved all of this because Mizi decided to show him a kindness she has always been familiar with but also a kindness he never experienced once in his life. Till has suffered a lot. Struggling to find an alien that would actually want to adopt him, being experimented on by the aliens and probably way Wayyyyy more, but it only took a single person to show him kindness for him to be able to keep on living. The nature of his feelings can be easily interpreted as romantic but it honestly resembles more that of a painter and his muse to me. So how do you think he felt when he saw his muse experience for the very first time the unkind world they lived in? He couldn't even glance at her during his performance because seeing his idol in such a state was painful. That still didn't stop him from wanting to speak his heart out through a song specifically made for her to hear. I sure hope nothing bad happens to this determined and energetic little guy!
Ruler of My Heart: Hi. This time around i thought really hard about how naturally Luka could hit all of Mizi's weak points through his performance. It's like a skill he learned throughout the years which is a really disturbing idea for me because we all know the state of his mind but what else could this be than giving the aliens exactly what they want from hosting this competition through all these years? Luka's parallels with Hyuna in the way they went about their roles in this world always fascinated me greatly because on one hand we have a total rebel who didn't hesitate to escape and do what She thinks is correct and on the other we have the Perfect contestant for Alien Stage. A title that sounds prestigious but can be also terrifying if we look at it from a human perspective. Someone so capable of twisting people's minds for the sake of entertainment and someone just detached enough to not hesitate at the truly awful implications of being a part of this competition and still participate with everything he's got. We don't know what exactly is the reason he did all of this and we also don't know much about. Anything that goes through his mind. So what the hell am i even talking about honestly. I want him so badly its painful i can fix him❤️
TOP 3: guys Guys Guys Guys Guys Guys Guys. Here it is. Famously known video i never shut the fuck up about. I think dropping this not before Alien Stage started but in the middle of it was genius because now we know exactly what the nature of this world truly is. I will never shut the fuck up about how absolutely amazing this video specifically is. The shift between the perspective of Alien Stage the aliens have to the perspective the humans themselves have is so fucking well done it makes me insane everytime. What could Alien Stage be to beings incapable of feelings? Just the perfect source of entertainment and money they could ask for. Its nothing more than that. But to the humans themselves its absolutely everything. Where they could win everything or lose it all. In this world humans have no other option than to trust their abilities to have even the slightest chance of being given the right to live freely. Where the cost of losing is your life. But also where the cost of winning is your own humanity. This video represents all of that in such a perfect way and it makes me ill in the head. GHhagzgHagGagagagav im normal
MIZISUA: Having a dedicated video for the most important relationship in the whole series is actually such a brain move. You can always feel the love these two have for each other every time they are together but the way you can feel it here just hits. Not a single word is spoken and yet you can feel everything they felt for each other in just that peaceful moment they shared when they were being sent to Anakt Garden. And the way you can also feel the pain Sua's absence has on Mizi in the span of so little time. You can feel absolutely everything with just that final scene alone. You can also see how opposite they were to each other and yet how well they fit together despite that. Seeing Sua like this makes me feel ill because i know already how much Mizi's everything changed her completely. To be loved is to be changed indeed. This video says everything you need to know about their feelings for each other and im DIGGING IT man. I miss them so much it hurts
All-in: HEH. HEY. HI HYUNA. This is like the perfect way to introduce her. We already know Hyuna somehow managed to break into the competition itself to save Mizi and this video just enhances more the way we see her by showing us how strong she is both as leader of the resistance and as a person. Hyuna is by far the most mature of the cast and this video shows it in such a perfect way. Someone like her is exactly what Mizi needed to finally break away from the pain Alien Stage caused her and to search for a path of her own in the freedom she now has. I love how easy going and fun the whole song feels because its no longer a performance for the aliens its a performance for the humans. Its no longer a song trapped beneath all that surrounds Alien Stage. Its a song made for the people that are free from the aliens that's meant to inspire them to keep moving forward and to not stop fighting for the future where the humans hold freedom. All of this also makes the fact that Luka is such a huge trigger for her elevate both of their characters greatly and also just make the whole conflict between them more interesting. What exactly was it that made Hyuna despise this man to the point thinking about him makes her sick? What exactly goes through Luka's mind when it comes to Hyuna specifically? They make me insane in the head i think the day we get more Hyuluka lore is the day i officially pass away forever. Godbless

Do as you will Chosen One
Then... I Want Wings
One of the overarching themes of Berserk, is how it is Human Nature to cling to justifications in order to cope with the world and it's cruel reality, one own's actions, or that of others.
For the Band of the Hawk, their existence of proffiting off of war and bloodshed was justified by every one of them believing in Griffith, and thus being excused from thinking about the implications of their role in the world, and how much blood they would need to shed to make his dreams happen.
For Farnesse, it was religion to justify engaging in her own sadistic impulses.
as for Guts' The series as a whole is in many ways defined by what justification he uses to keep himself going in his truly staggeringly bloody crusade against the Godhand and the Apostles.
And it is only when he is faced with the prospect of Casca being in danger again, that he finally begins to snap out of it, and begin the path to something more, something better.
Ultimately the real things that kept Guts going as the Black Swordsman is sorrow, fear and hatred, for which he had a very obvious target he could use to justify any cruelty and bloodshed so long as it furthered that cause.
And ultimately, he became something better. He was confronted with how hollow his internalized justifications for embracing the worst aspects of himself truly were, and resolved to be a better man.
Which is why Griffith is his perfect mirror opposite, and the embodiment of true Human Evil in this series.
Griffith, just like Guts, needed a justification in order to have the strength in his heart to justify every single one of the bodies he stepped over in order to get there.
And it's not like his justification was because he had some grand, noble dream to better the world either. Griffith wanted a kingdom. That's it. And the justification he eventually settled on, in his heart of hearts, is that if he didnt keep going despite everything, then every single one of the death of the soldiers beneath him was all in vain.
During this period of his life, he was in his own way far worse than Guts every was at his worst as the black Swordsman, because whatever else could be said about him, the destruction of the Godhand and their apostles would be a good thing in and out of itself.
Griffith by contrast just wanted to sit a throne, have a castle, and be acknowledged as king just because he wanted it so bad.
Except this was a lie. As revealed as the transformation into Femto forces him to see and feel the death of his comrades, and what his own actions has put them through, he addmits in his heart that he doesnt actually feel bad about it.
Because this was never about them, in any way, no matter how much Griffith in his heart wanted there to be some sentimental reason for the lengths he was willing to go for his dream. It was all about him. It was ALWAYS all about him, and any claim to the contrary was a self justifying lie.
But it goes deeper than that.
Like Guts, Griffith has a meeting with a wiser, older mentor who lays out facts for him, that servers as THE turning point in his arc.
Only whereas that mentor told him him to abandon his darker sides, this one tells him that such justifications are in their own way, meaningless, for it, the Idea of Evil coming into being, as a strong argument that free will may, or may not exist.
The Idea of Evil to whom Griffith sold his soul to, explains how it controls destiny itself. And by that logic, humanity's causes, paradoixically does not matter, if all of humanity dances on this creature's strings.
Even Griffith, complete and total narcisist that he is, is taken aback by the sheer scale of what his new mentor is telling him.
And the Idea of Evil does not hold back either. It lays out just how immensely it has affected history to get to this point. Now we can debate just how much control it actually has, but that debate isnt important for this analysis. No what is important, is what Griffith's reaction is.
His reaction is to validate the Idea of Evil's status as the true god of this world, and to ask it for instructions, commands of what to do, what is right and wrong.
Instead it gives him a very different answer, telling him that it doesnt matter. That wheter or not he brings humanity pain or salvation, it does not care, as it considers both as good for the Race that brought it into being in the first place.
It tells Griffith to do as he pleases, that he does not need causes. That whatever path he goes down, is the "Right One".
His response to that, to acknowledge that he no longer has to abide to any moral standard, is short and to the point.
I want wings.
Everything after this point, that Femto does, is not some demonic corruption making him into something he is not. It is a man who does what he WANTS to do.
Raping Casca while destroying her mind and forcing Guts to watch, to get back at Guts for leaving him.
Corrupting their child so that he could both continue to cause the two of them pain, and use it later for his own ends.
Creating the great roar of the astral and setting into motions a world that will worship him as an effective godking and savior.
And every single Aspostle he's ever made, on top of that.
And so much more.
All of these are things Griffith's wanted to do, or since they benefit him personally, he feels no remorse for doing them. In other words, he has accepted the Truth that was there all along.
Having come to terms with the fact that he can do as he pleases, and given the choice between being a hero or a monster, he made the distinct choice to embrace all of his worst qualities for his own desires.
In other words, he is the perfect foil to Guts.
Both of them stared into the abyss, but while Guts eventually rejected what he saw there to focus on the positive things in his life, Griffith realised that he was never a good person underneath it all, that all justifications he had for his cause was a big lie... And rather than considering that his cause might be wrong, he chose to instead embrace the cause regardless, and become an unfettered monster of his own will.

i think stocke not having any like anime memory headaches is probably the funniest and best decision the writers made in regards to his identity. throughout the game they didnt even really hint at whether or not stocke was ernst-- they just downright said it multiple times. in fact, the amount of times they said it and HOW they said it are so blaringly obvious in a second playthrough that its very hard to take stocke even a little bit seriously. in a funny way! eruca straight up tells him he looks exactly like her dead brother. multiple people mistakingly call him ernst. HE calls himself ernst, and he does it so well nobody questions it even once. however while these moments make it so frustratingly obvious in hindsight i found it actually hard to believe it during my first playthrough, because ... stocke himself does not care? he never once agonizes over the loss of his own memories, because he doesnt miss them. he believes what heiss has told him without question. he doesnt get flashes of memory when he meets eruca, either because hes too dense for anything to register in his brain or because he, again, doesnt care. or, rather, maybe "doesnt care" is too cruel to say -- its very evident at the end of the game that he cherishes the people around him. rather, hes on such a one track mind that he likely thinks anything that isnt about saving the world is secondary to him... much like how he is very, very good at ignoring his own injuries. its just... so funny? i really feel like his superiors need to hire a therapist or two...
#.text#radiant historia#i do kind of wish we got something though -- like someone asking him about his life before the army and him just like#either spacing out or dodging the question really easy#maybe we did and my memories are just foggy... i really want to replay the game though. later this summer i suppose...#NOTHING is funnier than him deciding to call himself ernst though that was so. HEBEJFNKDNSMDNKDND ???#nooooo way they did that.#they did.#god . i love stocke#he sucks
