Enver Gortash may have escaped hell but didn't Raphael still technically have the ownership over him? He was probably happy and lucky to get out of House of Hope, he very likely did not also steal whatever contract his parents signed with that warlock.

And Raphael was of course annoyed Gortash escaped but I don't think he felt a need to pursue him and drag him back because he can always claim his soul after he dies and oh human life's are quite short...

I think that might have been what partly driven Gortash to religion.

And of course Bane's entire deal is also extremely appealing to Gortash and he embodies all the qualities Bane could require of his followers so there certainly was also the aspect of power and ambition and stuff.

But also maybe Gortash partly decided to become follower of Bane is because gods are so possessive over the souls they can claim and he wanted to ensure his soul will never again gets back to Raphael and House of Hope.

I think that Gortash is very egoistic and self confident and he did not believe he could fail, he was certain he can do anything he puts his mind to and so on... but also maybe even if he would fail any other hell will still be better than ending up in House of Hope.
