A/N: I AM SOOOOO INCREDIBLY SORRY THIS TOOK SO LONG!!! I started this shortly after you requested it but then things happened and I had a little dry spout with Omori and forgot about it completely. Nevertheless, I hope you enjoy this! ( And again, I am SOOO sorry, love! 😅)

I'd say, based on their level of openness, the ranking of how quickly they'd become comfortable with their significant other would look something like this..

Kel

Mari

Hero

Aubrey

Sunny

Basil

And here's why..

Kel is the type of person who can vibe with anyone as long as they aren't a horrible person. ( Or act like Mikhael. Even then there's a chance. )

I'd say give it maybe a couple weeks? He's never been in any kind of relationship like this one so he may act a little different than usual for a while. Once that's over though, he's pretty much the same eager ball of sunshine! He'll always want to nag them to come out and enjoy the world with him and will do everything in his power to be around them! After all, it's way more fun hanging with them than being at home..

Now this can be up for debate, but I think Mari wouldn't take long at all to grow comfortable with her significant other. In her opinion, communication and trust are key parts to any lasting relationship so she doesn't mind coming to you when she's a little bothered by things. ( Which happens more times than one may think )

I see her taking maybe around a few months ( like three to four ) before completely letting the person in. It's nothing personal, she just wants to gauge their personality and see whether or not this relationship will be able to last.

Now, Mari doesn't act much different when she's comfortable with people. Subtle things do change though. For example, her smile seems more relaxed and she gets less upset when making mistakes around that person. Their presence soothes her and as a result, she's less uptight around them.

For Hero, it really depends on when he got into the relationship. If it was before his relationship with Mari, which is not likely, he's not that much different to Kel. He'll spend a lot time with the person and pretty much tell them anything and everything. If it's after his relationship with Mari, which is more likely, it'll be much different.

You see, Hero has experienced heartbreak in one of the worst possible ways and it'll take time for him to heal. That being said, I really don't see him dating anyone until that happens, but let's say that he does. Realistically, it take quite some time which can vary from a few months to a year to way longer than that.

Now, Hero is still Hero so he'll treat whoever he dates with the kindness and respect that they deserve and will do everything he can to make sure they're happy and healthy, ( both physically and mentally ) however when it comes to verbalizing his own emotions, that's where we hit a nail. Whoever he dates would have to be very patient with him otherwise it may cause him to put even more walls up.

When he's finally comfortable around them, it'll show. He'll start telling them things he wouldn't before and'll even rant to them about his problems occasionally. He'll be way more open with his partner and'll be just a tad bit ( a lot ) more clingy than he used to.

Aubrey is a rather tough cookie. Ever since Mari died and everyone distanced themselves, forcing her to cope with everything alone, she has never truly let her walls down in front of others. And, if someone attempted to break down those walls, she'll grow defensive and even violent towards that person.

How long it would take Aubrey to even be comfortable enough to date someone really depends on the personality. Like, I see her letting her guard down quicker if the person is more kind and patient with her like Mari rather than someone's who's short-tempered or rough around the edges like her.

When Aubrey is comfortable around her significant other, she'll be less afraid to tell them how she feels. She'll vent to them, but because of that, she'll be more shy towards them. Aubrey'll also hold that person in higher regard than others and'll hold them close to her heart. When they scold her, she actually listens and tries to do better. If they're upset, she'll be the first to notice and'll be there to listen to them rant/help them out in any possible way. And, she'll always try to make sure that her little fights and other violent affairs never mesh and disturb the person's daily life. In a way, she sees this relationship as a way to pay them back for putting up with her for so long so she'd pretty much do anything for that person.

Sunny's next and oh boy..

I honestly don't see him indulging in any kind of romance with anyone unless him and that person were like childhood friends—I'm talkin' never leaving each other's side, seen everywhere together type of close childhood friend with someone—and even then, it's hard to imagine post-traumatized him feeling comfortable around anyone besides his former friends, let alone a relationship. But for the sake of this, let's say he does..

I can't put a time limit on how long it'll take him simply because I see it depending on which ending we're talking about. Obviously if we're talking about any of the bad endings, he's pretty much a lost dead cause. He's not going to make any attempt to open up to them and no matter how much they may try, there will always be distance between them. Now, if we're talking about good ending Sunny, the person actually has a chance.

There will be a lot of trial and error simply because Sunny's used to keeping things bottled up. He's not used to being upfront and truthful and he's only used to running away and not facing his problems. That being said, I see the process quickening a bit if the person he's dating is super gentle and patient with him. If they just gave him time, and a tiny push here and there, he'll come around. And when he does, he'd be stuck to them like glue.

I feel like he'd make it known with his body when he's truly comfortable around his partner. Whether his shoulders noticeably slump in their presence or maybe he lets his guard down enough to hold you or lean on you. Just something that'll let the person know that he feels truly safe around them! I see him being sorta touch-hungry and expressing it once he's comfortable with that person by giving them a bunch of hugs and cuddles and such.

And hey, maybe he'll even talk! ( Nah I'm playing BAHAHA- )

Finally, we have our sweet boy Basil. The gardening genius that carries a ginormous bouquet of trauma wherever he goes..

It's easy to say that whether the person was his friend prior to the incident or not, it'll take forever for Basil to truly feel comfortable around them.

If they were his friend prior to the incident, well, it all really depends. Was he close ( closer than he was with the others ) with them before the incident occurred? Did they distance themself from the group like everyone else? Did they stick to him and never let him go? Depending on what the person does all depends on how long it'll take. To me, I definitely feel like Basil would spill everything eventually if the person decided to stick with him when everyone grew apart and, as a result, would become sort of this unhealthy lifeline to Basil. Since they'd be the one he confides in about everything, it would grow to the point that they'd be the one thing keeping him together. He'd be at their mercy, and in a way, they'd be at his and nothing would really change until probably after the truth comes out ( if it were to come out ) and Basil got the proper help he needs.

If they weren't his friend before the incident, good luck. They'd be lucky enough to even get a full conversation from him, much less get him to be their friend and harbor any kind of romantic feelings for them. But let's say that is the case. Let's say that through some stroke of luck they managed to befriend Basil and eventually end up in a relationship with him. The person is going to have to put up with a lot. Basil is a very sensitive person and all it takes is one bad interaction for him to completely shut them out. They'd have to tread very lightly ( but not too lightly; if they don't try enough, the relationship's not getting anywhere ) or else they'll end up back at square one. I see this taking years ( specifically four or more ) and really, I only see him completely growing comfortable with the person after some extensive therapy.

When he's finally, fully comfortable with them, he'll be way more verbal and open. The fear of being rejected/judged would've been less apparent and slowly pushed to the back of his mind. Being with them for so long, ( and having gotten at least some bit of therapy since I literally don't see this happening otherwise ) he's grown to trust them to some extent. He's also grown to love rambling to them about whatever's on his mind. Whether that be about flowers or things much darker. I see him craving their touch and he wouldn't mind asking. ( But not too many times, he's still Basil after all ) I see those two spending so much time together that Polly would see them as an extension of the household. ( She'd fix them dinner every evening and would grow concerned if they didn't show up to get it and say hey to Basil. That's how much they'd be together. )

So, with just two months left until I enter the final year of my twenties, I wanted to celebrate by diving into something creative. Though this idea might not be original in any way, it’s just something I thought would be a fun way for us to get a little imaginative 🤗

Helene Route Thoughts

Ohhh ok, sooo sorry for the ask I got a lil too excited about this scenario for the comments section 😅

So, first of all, as a serial lurker and consumer of IF... I've noticed a trend (not the first person to notice/comment on this btw) of fans getting... kinda demanding & entitled regarding the work that IF authors are producing these days. I wanna say up front that I adore what I've seen of your IF concept so far, and also- even if I didn't already love it? Please don't let us fans or anyone else pressure you in any way/shape/form into deviating from the story YOU want to tell! (Like y'all go to a book store & write a nastygram to a published author bc the synopsis doesn't press all your buttons...? Why the hell would you do that to someone who's publishing amazing IF content, often for free!? Who raised you!?)

With that outta the way- personally I'm perfectly OK with Helene being the stereotypical 'White Lotus' of manhua fame- man we love tropes for a reason, why wouldn't I want to see that story play out in IF form?!

If you really want to explore her potential as an RO tho? I can think of 2 different Helene flavors that I would personally find compelling...

First is one I have observed in manhua before, if rarely (and it's killing me that I can't recall the character/series I'm thinking of...) Helene is basically groomed/raised to fulfill her roll of bagging a prince or other high ranking individual for her religious institution's prestige/power. This is the only thing she's been raised to think she's suited or useful for, a power grab. Maybe MC can show her how amazing she is and the power she wields personally outside of the church's influence over her fate? Empower Helene to pursue her own desires! Poor girl never knew how to want for anything... until she met MC... 👀

The other thought I had is totally the opposite end of the spectrum... A Girl Boss that wants power & influence, and doesn't care much about the collateral damage in achieving that. Like, path of least resistance, I'ma play every dudes fantasy & become the perfect woman to get the power of this dim-wit prince. Once she's won, she starts looking around thinking... ok this mask is kinda stifling, how long after marriage should I wait b4 I poison this guy? Meanwhile, she meets MC and... surprise! She has a competency kink! Suddenly... a celebrated, wealthy dukedom has most of what she's after anyways, without some of the schmoozing & red tape associated with the top of the monarchy... 'Ok, changed my mind, I want THAT ONE instead! For world domination purposes ofc' (In my head this Helene is def a bit of a red flag character)

These are just a couple thoughts from someone who's already in love with the universe you're creating 😊 I'm really excited to see where your story takes us, with or without any changes to the already established ROs!

Thankfully, everyone's been really nice and accepting about the things that I've established for ATE, like Ædric and Cyfrin being the only ROs and them being set as male, MC having been in love with Ædan ever since they met, Ædric and Cyfrin having pre-established feelings for MC, significant details like that 😄

My curiosity is really the main reason why I had this poll 😅 like I got super interested in hearing what you guys had in mind if Helene was an RO, and I really enjoyed reading all the Helene-route-thoughts asks I received 😄 as in, if you guys decided that you wanted to make fanfics about your MC and Helene with your ideas in an ATE AU, I'd be really interested in reading them 😄

1. How many living parents does your OC have? If they're alive, where are they now and what’s your OC’s relationship with them? If they’re dead, how did they die?

Ooh well right now, 1 with Tina. Though later it'll be 2, because of Henry (and probably later 3, when she comes to think of Harry as a father figure too).

Obviously, her relationship with Tina is very strong—naturally there’s tension at times, especially after Tina finds out about Eowells, but that’s bound to happen. Spoilers perhaps, but they come back from this tension stronger.

For Henry, it’ll be a bit of a bumpy ride given Morgan’s…difficult history with the concept of fatherhood. Calling Henry “Barry’s dad” is far easier than thinking of him as “stepdad”, but…she’ll get there. For Harry, she will probably never actually call him Dad, nor will he ever call her any form of “daughter” to her face, though they’ll probably refer to each other as such when talking to others. (More details about both of these relationships are TBD)

Harrison and Tess…well, Morgan’s relationship with them is ofc complicated. They’re her parents, but she doesn’t remember anything about them—she was too young when they died. Everything she knows about them is secondhand from Tina (or to a lesser extent Eowells*), or via what she can glean from Harry…though the latter is so E2-specific that it’s still lacking. So really, they’re her parents in a much more distant sense…and she barely even feels like she has the right to mourn them 🥺 more easily referring to them as “Aunt Tina/Mum’s friends” than “my parents”

*about this, btw…he does something quite underhanded that I can’t say too much about. You will hate him more than you thought possible when I reveal it.

2. What was your OC’s first job? Do they still work that job (or in that field), or do they do something else now?

Barista at Jitters! Then in s2, barista at Starbucks. Though once she transfers to CCU in s3 and sophomore year of college gets going, she decides to stay unemployed for a while 😅 juggling college and superhero duties (especially since Organic Chem is one of her classes during s3) is hard enough

10. What’s the first significant injury your OC remembers getting? Did it leave any scars?

Hmm maybe the time she fell off a Razor scooter when she was in kindergarten and got a scrape above her eyebrow. It was a pretty bad scrape, and she had to get stitches, though luckily it healed up fairly quickly.

One of the good memories she has of Eowells is him taking the day off work to spend with her in the hospital, and letting her curl up with him in bed. It was one of the few truly good days she had with him…and as with those good days, it was a rarity undone as soon as the next day

(He took her to the doctor that morning to make sure her stitches had dissolved and that her ill-effects were mild, then dropped her at school around noon before going off to work himself. And with that, they were right back to normal)

12. Does your OC’s family practice any faith or religion? Does your OC still practice? Why or why not?

She’s not really religious tbh, neither were her parents. She celebrates Christmas, but not in a super religious sense, more in a commercial sense (caveat: I do think Christmas is to a degree religious in nature, which is why I don’t celebrate it, but I do think people often do celebrate it secularly. Such is the case for Morgan)

16. What does your OC’s childhood bedroom look like?

Ooh well she has two: one in Tina's house for the most formative 6 years of her life (7-13, though she does also use it from ages 17-18 (and maybe beyond that)...possibly? Depends on if she dorms at CCU), and one at Eowells's mansion/house that she uses from 1-7 and then 13-16.

Her room at Eowells's house is fairly plain—Eowells had it painted a tactful pastel yellow, though when she was 13, in the early days of moving back in, she managed to convince him to paint it pastel blue instead (her superhero costume may be dark green, but blue is her favorite color). She doesn't have much decoration on her walls, no posters or anything of the like, though she did convince him to let her hang a whiteboard calendar on her wall. She still uses it. She also always keeps her room very neat, because Eowells gets tetchy when even a hair of it is out of place. He also doesn't see much point in knick-knacks or books that he seems "frivolous", so she learns quickly to keep those hidden

That aforementioned calendar was actually a gift from Tina, when she was 12. And her room at Tina's is much more lived-in, much more of "organized chaos"—knicknacks littering her dressing table, her clothes not always neatly folded, books scattered on every surface...though she always remembers to make her bed. And her four walls are alternating dark blue and dark green, the way she likes it 💞

21. If your OC could speak to their childhood self, what would they say?

“You are enough. You are more than enough, just as you are. And you don’t have to settle for him, you deserve better. One day, you will have so much better, I promise.”

Hey, a kinda long sunday confession here and I'm struggling to phrase this in a way that doesn't make it sound judgemental or insensitive (because I'm really trying not to be), but ever since tcr filming Tom has seemed to age quite a bit. More obvious crow's feet, wrinkles on his face more pronounced, eyes look more tired...and listen, I know it was ultimately his choice to lose weight for the role and it's normal for wrinkles to be more pronounced and skin to sag after weight loss, but I do feel a little bad sometimes. Clearly filming was very intense emotionally (as he has said) but also physically. Of course he is still VERY handsome and attractive, but it does kinda suck to see a role age him this much and a year later even though he definitely looks healthier the crows feet seem to be sticking around (I guess once wrinkles come they can't really go without surgery). Anyway he's rich so i'm hoping he's spending some of it on some good skincare. Again, looks aren't the end all be all I get that, and I'm trying not to be superficial or anything, especially since most of the reason I'm his fan is because of his talent and personality! But sometimes when I see old pics of him during nwh press or uncharted press vs only a few months later during tcr filming the difference is a little alarming. And as much as I hate to say it hollywood obviously is hollywood so there's a lot of stock in appearances (though as a white man he does have it easier in that regard compared to others ofc and other than comments here and there from the general public I doubt it would affect his career). The dedication Tom puts into his roles is impressive but sometimes I do feel a little bad that his skin hasn't bounced back...and maybe it will and just needs time or it's just the normal aging process for a yt man being sped up a bit lol. Maybe this would have happened regardless of tcr who knows. But sometimes in certain lighting it can be a bit jarring - and maybe that's just because I'm so used to him looking younger than his age in his early 20s. Idk. Anyway, at the end of the day he seems like he's happy and content and confident with himself and that's all that matters I just wanted to ramble a bit :)

Well, I'll be honest, at first I was gonna rip into you lol, but I remembered that your ask was a "Confession Sunday" ask, and towards the end it seems like you were coming from a genuine place of concern, so I won't judge. Thanks for being honest Anon, I'm sure that probably wasn't easy to confess. It's sometimes hard to say anything LESS than favorable about our faves who we love. But I don't think anyone should be judged harshly in the fandom for their honest thoughts and feelings, as long as it's not coming from a place of SHADE. I'll just say that I think that we ALL have different genetics, and some skin tones just age quicker than others...that's just a fact of life lol. Tom is a white British man, with a mom who's a Ginger (red head) lol... I mean..... C'mon... 👀 Like, you kind of have to look at where someone is starting off from lol. 😅

Tom has had crows feet/laugh lines since he was even in his teens lol, so I think they're just genetic?? I mean, obviously, they will probably get more pronounced the older he gets, but I just think he's just always had them tbh. 🤷🏾‍♀️ If you look at even his younger photos, you'll see that I'm right.

I DO know that he lost a significant amount of weight for "Cherry", and I know that sometimes that can have an impact on your aging.... There were times when I really was worried about him during that time. 😭 Then, there were claims (not sure if they were true) that he had fainted in public at one point due to the lack of eating for the role. So yea, I was getting a bit worried. 😔 He also lost some weight (although not AS much) for his role in "The Crowded Room", and honestly, I don't think they really needed him to lose weight?? But I guess they wanted his character to look as meek and mild and young as possible? 🤷🏾‍♀️ It seems that role was emotionally exhausting and a bit crazy for him! (I'm just being totally honest when I say that I hope Tom doesn't take anymore roles where he has to DRASTICALLY lose weight again anytime soon. 😔)

I know that stress can definitely age you! I've even seen some of my other faves go through a hard role, or lose weight to play a character, or go through an arduous awards season, and they've looked so tired and worn out through and through...almost like everything just aged them overnight. 😔 So even emotional stresses, drastic weight loss, or a grueling work schedule can really do a number on your body, your skin, etc.

Anyway.... RE: Tom..... I do get your concern Anon, but he seems like he's looking healthy now! 😊 And honestly??? I don't think the crows feet or laugh lines in his face are a BAD thing tbh.... He's looked like a kid for so long lol, that I think it's actually a good thing that he's looking a bit more mature. 😅 JMHO. I think some fans wanna keep Tom in 2017 when they first fell in love with him in Spider-Man HOCO, but ummm...he was only 21 back then! Tom naturally has a young face, so now that he's looking more "grown", I don't think that's a bad thing per se. 🤔

He's still a very handsome man, and he's rich, so if he ever wanted to get botox or something cosmetic to lessen the creases around his eyes, then I'm sure he has MORE than enough money and resources to do so lol. He's a Brit though, so I don't think their actors worry so much cosmetic-wise about how they look like us Americans lol. 😅 I think there's WAY more pressure here in the US/LA area (especially) to look a certain way than there is overseas. Just my personal observation. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Either way, it's everyone's own personal decision on how they wish to take care of their "canvas", and it's always good to remember that it's what's on the INSIDE of a person that matters most!

Tom seems to be doing AWESOME right now! He's given up alcohol/drinking so much, he's mentioned that he's SLEEPING better, he seems ABUNDANTLY HAPPY, he seems to LOVE his life, he's getting a LONG BREAK from working (a whole YEAR off!), he doesn't seem to be smoking anymore lol, and he just seems overall super happy with life! 😃 I'm really happy and just so proud of him honestly. 🥰 He seems to be glowing to me! So, even though you think he looks more 'tired' these days, he actually seems to be in a much better place than he was just a year ago imo. Plus, he's married to dating Zendaya, and I'm sure she has a TON of facial regimens and creams she can help her hubby out with if he needs it lol. 🤭

Don’t get me wrong I love Zejal they are my everything but there are times when I wish I could focus more on other character’s relationships (but who am I kidding Zejal has my entire soul and I’m quite happy w/ that)

I would definitely love to hear more about Aidma and her father- the idea of her being a clone of her father is amazing I’d love to see it fully developed and I’d also like to know abt the ideas you currently have for it as I’m pretty curious even if they’re not fully cemented or anything (ofc only if you’d be down to share that is).

I also have a few random questions I thought to ask bc they suddenly popped up if you don’t mind. What is Aidma’s greatest fear? Something she’s incredibly proud of? Her greatest regret?

I’d imagine that seeing Aidma get so severely messed up mentally and physically because of the battle with her father would be hard for Najlynn to witness, I wonder what her reaction to it all was? How did Najlynn feel about heading back when Aidma decides to take the clan and return, especially without telling anyone? Also since Najlynn is in the night class what’s her relationship with Hiro, Zeus, Lucious, Clive, Viggo, Gray and everyone else like? Also I’m not sure if you ever mentioned her year or age (sorry if I forgot) also what significant connections has she made in Gedonelune and how does she feel about leaving them?

Aww Zeus and Aidma, they sound amazing. You mentioned earlier that you could tell me a million things about that happened in their relationship :>…I wish to know many of these things (literally give me anything and i’ll absolutely eat it up).

As for morals theres so much- I’m still playing around with a lot of things. I might hold off on answering this fully just because I want to make sure I phrase it right also it might switch up 😅 I’ll get back to you w/ more on that for sure tho!! I can tell you a little more about their personalities/ symbolisms tho if you’d be interested :DD (Kajal’s symbolisms rly tie into her morals rn too so) Relating to this I have written down that Safiya believes strongly in honesty and integrity. Kajal, at the end of the day, is a very protective person and really believes in the idea of things coming full circle and that one should rly keep in mind the consequences of their actions. She also rly values loyalty. She thinks it’s just for her to go after those who cause the people she cares about pain and doesn’t hesitate to make people pay a steep price for crossing her or her loved ones. Again, still working on stuff- (I’ll have to think more about Lynn and Abena :3 tho Lynn and Kaju are very similar).

Ohh boy. Kajal and Zeus’s history is A LOT. Apologies in advance if this is a bit long…(also I too can’t say they’re healthy all the time😅)

Soo the ups are that Zeus and Kajal reallyyyy trust one another. They’d learned to communicate pretty well. They are each other’s comfort and safe space. With Zeus, Kajal feels that she can be vulnerable and he feels the same with her. They challenge each other to do and be better while simultaneously trying their hardest to support one another when things get rough. The downs are mainly dealing with the moments where one of them is struggling. While I said they both feel comfortable being vulnerable there are times when they’ll both try to deal with a lot individually instead of leaning on their partner for support and it seeps into their relationship bc the one going through stuff will try not to address it in worry that they’d be a bother or that it’s not as serious compared to the other issues around them. They ofc get through it but it can be a little clunky.

Soo an idea I had for them was that Kajal and Zeus get together wayyy before the events of his route. I have it written down that Klaus, who happens to trust her, gives her the broach- not Liz. So…essentially, he steals the broach from Kajal and when his plan is revealed to the group (and Kaju)- She is evidently very shocked/hurt (she’s more so hurt that he went behind her back instead of talking to her about it as they’d always done thus far). After that whole thing she looses a significant amount of trust in him, so much so that she proposes they take a break from the relationship all together. Btw another reason the whole thing (like loosing trust) shook her so badly was that Kajal had told Zeus her real name. Since Kajal is fae I took a fun fact I found abt fae (the fact that if you know a fae’s real name you have control over them) and sort of applied it to her. Basically, since he knows her real name…if used properly with the right spells (that he is certainly smart enough to figure out)- he’d have a certain amt of control over her. Her telling him her real name was one of the hardest things she’d ever done- smthn that took a lot of trust…and then this happened. Anyways. Zeus ends up understanding she needs her time/space and lets her go- they do get back together ofc after…an incident… and they learn once more to trust in each other and with time eventually develop an even stronger bond.

Okay back on track😂😅 Kajal once used Kannu’s ability bc she was insanely bored in class and wished to be somewhere else only find and end up listening/watching a group of girls shit talk Lynn- she did not let it slide. Kajal essentially uses Kannu’s ability to gather information that she can’t get to herself or information that people wouldn’t be willing to give her directly if that makes sense. Kannu is very good at slinking around unnoticed so it works out great. Also ur actually spot on bc Kannu actually does manage to share the spell w/ Zeus at one point���…for Kannu and Piggy Caesar beef…in all honesty I just thought it’d be kinda funny-

I’d like to say that Kannu became attached to Zeus quite quickly bc she first off knew he’s a good guy and could immediately pick up on how much he loves Kajal. She knew right away that Zeus cared so genuinely for her- even during the events of his route when he steals the broach from her, he still loves her- it’s something that never goes away. Seeing how devoted he is to her, Kannu rly starts to appreciate him. I have it written down in my notes that apparently Khol didn’t like him bc the first time they met Khol stole Zeus’s necklace and Zeus didn’t let him keep it.

At the risk of making this whole thing longer than it is…I might change Lynn’s familiar to a brown bear- just bc one suits her personality better😅 as for Scarlett and Lynn…they rly just clashed horribly. Even during their (very short) relationship- things were always a little tense. I’ll have to get back to you on it- I haven’t developed their actual relationship as much as I have worked out the current hatred they feel for one another😭😭😭

okie so yes!! safiya is a prefect (she becomes one around the same time as liz (so, after rem) when her friends convince her to try for it. honestly, she kinda is like joel TT. safiya is so fun bc she says whats on her mind and will sometimes manage to do it in the most unbelievably tactless way possible but shes rarely ever intending to be flat out rude. like she just says things sometimes, its great. she, like liz, got an acceptance letter, started off as a provisional student and then got her place at the academy (she and liz pretty much have the same starting tbh, they’re both from villages tho safiya’s family is still very much alive). also she’s pretty good friends with joel, luca, amelia, scarlett and augustus- she and liz get along but they tend to argue from time to time.

also about the boots omg what was i thinking looking back at it, it rly is smthn but honestly its so very safiya in a way i can’t fully articulate rn TT

additionally, i’ve decided i may ship her w/ elias :DD idk just think that’d be a cute pairing-

【Portgas D. Ace】 Summer Time

Summer, a season of the beach, barbecue, and iced cola. The sun hangs above the sky, with great heat radiating from it. It is a perfect day to spend time on the beach with friends, family, or significant others.

“Ace!!” You called for your boyfriend who’s playing beach volleyball with his friends in the water.

“Yes, dear?” He turned around to face you.

“Can you help me? I can’t reach my back.” You held out the sunscreen in your hands.

“A-ah, you want me to do it?” Your boyfriend pointed to himself, a blush danced on his freckles.

“Could you?”

“Yes, of course!” He clumsily ran up to shore, cringing at the pain coming from the bottom of his feet.

Ace wiped his wet hands on his towel before sitting behind you. He grabbed your sunscreen before squeezing some onto his hand and applying it onto your back. His face and ears burning at the soft touch.

“H-here, I’m done.” He stuttered as he handed your sunscreen back, “Anything else you need help with?”

“No, thank you, Ace.” You smiled at him.

“It’s no problem at all!” He scratched his head, “Do you want to come play? It’s pretty cool in the water.”

“Sure, why not.” You smiled, following him into the water.

The summer wind blew past, and the boy’s cool smile turned into a shy one, which you found fascinating.

1) favorite fic you wrote this year I was slacking so much this year 😓 my favorite fics i wrote this year were pretty much the only ones I wrote (both unpublished ofc) But, I really love my new au I keep talking about, especially now that I've kinda changed the story a bit. Like, I think I could actually do something with it if I can just get life to give me a break and for my brain to work 😅 And I've slowly been working on my birthday prompts, and I actually really love one you sent me (Izzy stealing the car) cause I just really love writing for Izzy!

favorite line/scene you wrote this year I didn't get to write a lot this year, so I don't have a like, really significant line that sticks out to me. but, you know me, I love spoiling my stuff lol so I'm gonna post a scene from each fic from the answer above, but I actually realized while I was answering this that both scenes are my favorite because they (in my opinion anyway) encapsulate the dynamics. Like, even though they're brothers, I don't really write Zack and Cody a lot cause I always try to exclude Cody lmao But, in the first excerpt from my new au, i feel like it's so,, them?? unfortunately I don't think this scene will be included because I think it'll end up getting cut thanks to the story change but 🤷 This scene also shows what Zack's dynamic is like with Henry/KD in this fic too so I'm still including it 😅

And in the second excerpt I just love it cause it really showcases the dynamics that exist in the hartin house (although, I'm almost certain at this point that I'm including a third sibling but i haven't written them in yet)

I'm gonna put a read more cause it's already getting long and it's about to get a whole lot longer lol

“Okay, are you gonna help me out here?” Kid Danger asked as he glanced back at Ray. Ray’s gaze moved to the ground.

“I mean...if they take him in instead of us, it saves us the trip,” he replied with a simple shrug.

“Exactly,” Zack responded and Kid Danger narrowed his eyes before shooting a look at Captain Man who just shrugged. “Cuff him, Code Red,” Zack continued, keeping his eyes glued to Kid Danger.

“With what?” Cody mumbled, leaning towards him. Zack slowly turned to look at him.

“Didn’t you bring handcuffs?”

Cody stared at him incredulously. “Where would I have gotten handcuffs?”

“Then use a zip tie!” Zack snapped, feeling his patience wearing thin.

“Again... where would I get a zip tie? And why would I have brought one?”

Zack finally lowered his arm, letting out a sharp breath and squeezing his eyes shut before turning to face his brother. “You carry a million things in your pocket but you’re telling me not one of them is a zip tie? Or anything we could use to cuff this guy?”

Cody continued to stare at him in disbelief. “What would I need a zip tie for?”

“What do you need bear repellent for?”

“To repel bears!”

Kid Danger stepped in between them then. "I don't mean to interrupt, but your perp's getting away."

"Why didn't you stop him?!" Zack barked. Kid Danger put his hands up in surrender as he took a few steps back.

"Why should I?" he replied, his lips curling into a devious smirk, "You've got this."

Anyway, please forgive me for the stupidity of that snippet lasdkj also here's the one from the Izzy fic:

“Where is he, by the way?” Cody questioned as he sat down at the table in the chair closest to him.

“He’s around here somewhere,” Zack answered but before he had a chance to call for him, the two of them heard a door slam, followed by Izzy’s muffled voice yelling, “You’re not being fair!”

Zack froze as he met Cody’s gaze. “But, I have an idea of where he might be.” [...]

Izzy came storming into the kitchen followed by Henry a few seconds later.

“Whatever. I’m gonna talk to dad, he’s the fun parent,” she snarked, shooting a look at Henry before turning back towards Zack.

“Be my guest,” Henry stated calmly, clearly unbothered by her attitude as he sat down in the chair opposite his brother-in-law. [..]

Izzy put on her sweetest grin as she went to stand at Zack’s side. “Daddy,” she cooed, shooting him her best doe-eyed look.

“No,” Zack deadpanned without looking at her. She immediately dropped the act, her demeanor turning annoyed again as she stared at him, slack-jawed.

“That’s not fair, you don’t even know what I was going to ask!” she snapped.

“Uncle Cody!” Felix’s voice gushed a few seconds before he sped into the room with his golden retriever, Daisy, at his heels, the two of them appearing at Cody’s side. Felix met his gaze with an elated smile, his hands cupped in front of his chest.

“Hey, buddy!” Cody responded enthusiastically, turning around to face him, letting his arm rest on the back of the chair, “How’s my favorite nephew?”

“I’m your only nephew,” Felix pointed out.

“Well, that doesn’t mean you can’t still be my favorite,” Cody replied, and Felix’s smile grew.

“Can we get back to me, please?!” Izzy interrupted impatiently, slipping into the last available chair between Zack and Cody.

“Hey, Fe,” Henry interjected. Felix’s grin vanished as he immediately dropped his still cupped hands below the table, out of Henry’s line of sight, before slowly turning towards him.

“Yeah?” “What’s in your hand?” Henry asked, his tone indicating he most likely already knew the answer. Felix avoided his gaze.

“Nothing,” he responded softly. Henry kept his eyes locked on him.

“Felix,” he echoed in a calm tone. Felix sighed heavily, raising his hands above the table once more as he slowly uncovered one from the other.

“A centipede,” he mumbled as the now freed centipede crawled from his palm to the crook between his index and thumb.

“Oh, Felix!” Zack yelped, instinctively pushing his chair back, “What’d I say about bringing random bugs into the house?!”

“Sorry,” Felix responded sincerely, flipping his hand over as the centipede inched onto the back of his hand.

Izzy let out a heavy sigh. “Then, can I take Grandpa’s car?” she questioned, clearly losing any patience she had left.

23) fics you wanted to write but didn’t oh man, so many. I had a lot of motivation for my fairy tale au and a ton of ideas but i just. ran out of steam. I had a bunch of motivation for my newest au then i lost it, now I found it again. let's see how long that lasts. i'm still really super upset that it's been over a year since I've posted a new chapter of DoD and I know it's probably never going to happen now but I'm not quite ready to give up on it. i'm also super upset that not a single one of my birthday prompts have been posted cause you guys sent me almost all of my favorites from that list, and maybe it was ambitious of me still, but i genuinely thought I would have at least one posted either on my birthday or around it cause a few of them are literally already halfway done! But, genuinely every au I've ever told y'all about I really love for one reason or another and I would sincerely love to write every single one or even just. one! but it just wasn't in the cards this year I guess.
