Being an adult kinda sucks at times.
Having the political state of the world constantly thrown at you sucks.
Having to constantly face concepts and challenges far bigger than yourself sucks. Especially when you are constant asked to have opinions about them or god-forbid change them.
Not being paid enough to fulfill your personal self sucks.
Not being given the space or time to explore your identity sucks. Our wants and needs matter. I’m tired of them being treated like second fiddle.
I’m tired of playing second fiddle to the opinions of others. Especially when those opinions are people in a position of power.
I want term limits.
I want affordable healthcare.
I want time off to recharge socially.
I want to have a say in what happens to my body.
I want to one day be able to want a family.
I want to make enough money.
I want stability.
…but I’m an adult and I have to live in the world that was made for me.
Unfortunately it feels like the people that were put in charge to do that forgot that they shape the world for others and not themselves.
