#in the kindest way possible i think that some of your guys' queer microlabels are predicated on incorrect assumptions #about what is or is not typical of most people's gender and attraction.#you can call yourself whatever you want.#but just be aware that Straight and Gay and Transgender and Bisexual and Man and Woman and Nonbinary and other 'boring' labels #have always held capacity for more nuance and diversity than you've even thought to imagine #rigid definitions of queerness are a new and generally unhelpful development in the history of our community #and i promise that people before the internet era didn't just all have a simpler relationship with gender and sexuality than we do #again. you can call yourself whatever makes you most comfortable. that's the goal.#it just makes me feel weird when people demand or assign microlabels to historical figures or celebs who have not IDed themselves #or strangers on the internet/in their class.#apparently at my brother's very progressive middle school there is such a culture of everyone needing to neatly label themselves #that he just picked a sexuality to tell his friends even though he doesnt know #(which is pretty crazy because my middle school experience was only a decade off and a few miles #and there was definitely still homophobic bullying. but anyway)#i doubt that that's an uncommon story considering how you can log into tiktok #and find pages run by 11 year olds confidently stating a list of queer labels #people absolutely do figure out that they're queer/trans/gay at that age to be clear. kids been be queer and know it and that's incredible.#what makes me worried is kids feeling like they have to scramble to figure themselves out and clearly identify themselves to their peers #so they can be neatly categorized and as an expected virtue signal #<- is aware that this still isn't a problem in most parts of the world and that this is a much better problem to have #than homophobic bullying and internalized homophobia/transphobia #idk I'm rambling here

I’ve literally had multiple people ask me straight to my face if I was bisexual because they suspected I was and even tho I knew in all three of those situations that the person I was talking to was safe (either queer themself or an ally), it was really scary to be forced in that moment to come out without my consent, or feel forced to lie about it in order to protect myself, regardless of whether I needed to or not. I can’t imagine being a world famous celebrity and having fan pages dedicated to my alleged sexuality, analyzing every behavior I did and whether or not it was queer, calling all of my relationships PR relationships or beards because they are so convinced I am a homosexual. Either erasing my bisexuality to call me a lesbian or forcefully outing me. People who don’t even know me. It’s scary and honestly creepy enough having someone who knows you personally do it, but someone who’s never even met you? And doing it in front of the whole world? I would never feel safe enough to come out, not just because of the risk of homophobic attacks, but because the people who claim to support me are the ones that made me do it

#taylor swift #Gaylors are the worst and nothing will convince me otherwise #also can be applied to those who forced kit Connor to come out #and the people who harrass Shawn Mendes and call him gay #most of not all of the people doing this are queer themselves #how can you be queer and take that autonomy away from your peers?#and this is all implying that the rumors are true #not to mention the harassment of if it’s not and you’re calling a straight person gay simply because you feel like they are #like this is actually horrifying to watch #and i imagine most of these people are young #who grew up in a world that didn’t entirely accept them #but who had it so much easier than older generations did #or people like me who grew up in church towns with Republican parents #no matter how accepting the world gets you do NOT get to take that choice away from someone else #you don’t know what their life is like #you don’t know the horrors of having your secrets splashed on the news front page #tabloids are bad enough but to have tour own fans propel this?#i feel like she doesn’t see all this or if she does it doesn’t affect her cuz she’s not actually queer #cuz I know as a queer woman I would never be okay with this #ESPECIALLY if I was not out #god i hate them so much #and the way they turn around and call US homophobic?#Im not the one forcefully outing someone and fighting with people online swearing that someone they don’t know is gay #despite them saying themself that they are not part of the community #how about let’s trust her and let her figure shit out herself?#no speculation is okay and we really as a whole need to stop it #but this has so much added layers that this in particular needs to be addressed

i dont understand straight womens struggle </3 but it kind of annoys me when criticism of political lesbians has this underlying edge that like its bad for them to Deny Their Straightness or some other such thing and i mean some people get blatantly dismissive of their autonomy and you can tell theyre almost on a subconscious level thinking that its the natural and normal thing for women to be with men and and you shouldnt try and do anything else unless you have to or something. like its actually fine for two straight women to decide they want to spend their lives in partnership together the problem with political lesbians is/was the wider issues with the ideas of second wave radical feminism and political lesbians are just a reflection of that like can we focus on that pleaase

Listen the may Mays are fun and all but I'm probably just going to skim the rest and not read the third book (esp when it's just going to be Violet saving Xaden)

The first book was fun albeit brain candy but IF is all the stuff I had issues with FW times ten. The fact that I could see someone turning venin for Inntinnsic powers a mile away before the book even came out is just depressing.

I will die on this hill: the only reason I was even wrong on who it was was because my theory has a consistent logic to it whereas it being Xaden is just for the emotional gut punch with no real merit. (Sure you may say sacrifice but turning yourself into a nuclear bomb for the pussy is the opposite of sacrifice)

it's so so so important to me that william's motivation for his initial killings is just like. because he wants to. he's a serial killer, he doesn't have some deep emotional motivation. the discovery of remnant is just like. additional motivation beyond Enjoying Murder.

I already found it kind of funny that Richie made Amber do pretty much all of the heavy lifting when it came to kills in Scream 5, but good lord does it become so much funnier if you take Scream 6 into account

Richie is an almost 30 year old man who has made who knows how many snuff films, and yet he makes the 5'3 teenager do all the hard work, despite the fact that he would absolutely have more experience
