“Humans are inherently selfish--" Then why do so many cultures value hospitality, to the point of dictating it in their religions? Why is it so common for hosts to offer their visitors their best food, and as much of it as they can? At some point, multiple cultures decided that they knew what it felt like to be alone and vulnerable, and promised each other to never let those who stay with them feel that way. That doesn't sound very "inherently selfish" to me.

"Soul mate" story where the first thing your soul mate says to you is tattooed on your hand (or their name, or whatever indicator you want, it doesn't matter) except the pairings don't indicate compatibility at all. People seem to just be like. Randomly paired up. Traditionalists insist that marriage is for tattoo-defined soul mates but for most people in the modern world meeting your tattoo buddy is like "oh hey, it's you! That's neat!"

The careers of multiple scientists are fuelled entirely by trying to figure out what the tattoos actually indicate.

honestly speaking for myself i feel like having to claw your way up from the grave would be really cathartic and existentially meaningful. so like if anyone was considering kidnapping me and burying me alive i'm cool with it.

while being depressing, this is also sort of fascinating to me bc there’s something so…inauthentic here. what i mean is that if you saw something like this back in say 2001 (which you probably wouldn’t, at least for carl’s jr. but i digress) it would seem tacky but in a “sex sells” sort of way.

seeing this in 2025, it’s clearly purely a political statement and you can tell partially bc the image itself is so oddly sexless. it’s like there’s more titillation in the prospect of “owning the libs” than in the image of the scantily clad blonde white woman itself.

Calling the shooter Luigi, or vice versa, even if you are praising them both, indicates that you believe cops and their word, even if only to some degree. That you trust them. That even when they're wrong, they're still right.

Luigi is innocent. The shooter did nothing wrong. They are two different entities. DO NOT confuse them for each other. We have no solid proof that Luigi actually did the deed. Don't just take their word for it.
